The snow haired shinigami arrived towards the testing facility. It seemed to be an open space devoid of many distractions. With his dazzling blue eyes, he noted the tiles which lay beneath his feet. It seemed the ground was sturdy as he tested it with his feet. He noted that it wasn't too slick, perfect for a spar. The shinigami had his traditional attire on currently. His back robes were loose fitting, the standard attire for a shinigami. The white waist band was tied tightly and hanging loose from the two pieces of cloth that were hanging off of it. His hair was tied back into a pony tail, the end resting against his back.

In his left hand, the shinigami was gripping his dark blue sheath. His Zanpakuto was housed within and ready to be drawn at a moments notice. The unseated officer had finally applied to be tested for a seat in the 11th division. It was only common sense that he chose the division which loved fighting the most; as he did. He wished to test his abilities against those who did nothing but fight. The test was a rather big shocker to Takashi, he had to fight with the Captain and there was some big test involved with it. So he stood waiting, his right foot out and his left staggered. The Kuchiki was always punctual, so he would wait for the Captain. 

Truthfully, the man wasn't nervous. He simply wanted to measure himself against this Captain Iro he had heard so much about. On top of all of that, he was another Kuchiki. It seemed many of the Kuchiki were in top positions within Soul Society. Iro was someone Takashi would treat with the utmost respect. It went double because he was not only family but a Captain. Sozen had taught him to respect everyone in the family and Takashi would do so. There was a bit of anxiousness both of meeting a new family member and of challenging a Captain. He hoped the man would be here soon.

[Iro Kuchiki]

The way to the testing hall was fairly long. The site was very out of the way, requiring purposeful intent to get there. First, one had to walk to the edge of the Seireitei, behind the Sokkyoku Hill and the Prison Tower. Then the path through the forest would lead to a very long staircase. At the top of this set of 1001 stairs was the testing Hall, a large building with a single room, much like an amphitheater or a gymnasium. As Takashi waited outside, the large stone doors would open up of their own power and then slowly close behind him.

Standing in the center of the hall was a familiar face. Takashi would have seen Iro in the Kuchiki Manor in the past few months, though the Captain would have most likely been bandaged up at the time. Now his bandages were completely gone, though there was some residual scarring around his hands which were resting on his Zanpakutou. With his feet set a shoulder width apart in a common military position, his sword was set on the ground with his hands on top of the black pearl pommel. "Welcome, Cousin."

A man of few words, Takashi would have not yet had a chance to get to know his cousin the Captain very well. Even though they were in the same Squad, Iro's long recovery after fighting the Strongest Demon from Hell coupled with Takashi's low rank would have not put them in the same place very often. They probably wouldn't have even managed to share a "hi, how are you?" in the barracks very often. As the Captain of the Primary Attack Squad, Iro took his job seriously, and was away on mission frequently.

"I'll make this short. The main job of the Vice Captain of my Squad is to lead the Squad when I am away on mission. To do this, the Shinigami must be strong and battle capable. In order to test this, you must fight me and cause me to release my Shikai." Straight and to the point, with no wasted words. That was Iro's style. His fighting style, however, was a complete mystery to Takashi. The young unseated officer who dreamed of Vice Captaincy would have to act first, as Iro wasn't budging, but why Iro wasn't attacking first could be for one of many reasons.

Flashback: It was yet another afternoon. Takashi had just finished a round of training when he felt the presence of someone whom had shunpo'ed close up behind him. His gaze turned behind him. The white hair was cutting slabs of wood with his katana. He wore no shirt and only possessed the loose fitting black robes which covered his lower half. Sheathing his sword he narrowed his beautiful blue eyes as he gazed upon the delivery man. The man held out a letter in a black envelope; that was indeed strange. Takashi reached out grasping it. He made sure to bow and thank the man before he did so as well.

Looking at the letter, he noted there was an official stamp that had been placed there by what looked like candle wax; a red insignia of the eleventh division. Takashi had only recently joined the division. He kept a rather low profile. He hadn't done anything noticeable aside from sparring with a great deal of opponents. He found it strange for him to recieve such an official letter. He inspected it only for a few moments.

Soon however, he found himself prying the top open and opening the sealed top of the envelope. As he tore it open with the side of his blade, which was propped open with his thumb, he took out the letter. The shinigami unfolded the paper and began rading. His dazzling eyes began to scan through and read each sentence. Inside, the man was doing jumping jacks. Outwardly however, he kept the same composure as he always had, bored and near unemotional.

Dear Unseated Shinigami of the 11th Division Takashi Kuchiki,

You have been called hereafter on the date of **/**/**** to attend a formal testing session with 11th Division Taichou Iro Kuchiki. We have reviewed your file and have decided to test you for the position of 'Vice Captain'. This decision has been signed by the counsel and approved by Iro Taichou. Please note, this does not mean you have attained the position. Rather, you are currently being tested for this position. More details will be given to you when you arrive to the testing facility. Please be prepared to fight.

The white haired shinigami began to scan through the other document. He noted the lengthy journey to the testing facility. He sighed softly, there was only a very very very small hint of a smirk on his face.

Present

As the Shinigami stood in front of the gates, it seemed they had magically opened. Takashi noted the stone doors had opened and made his way inside. Here, he had seen his Captain, though vaguely. He remembered seeing this man. He recalled hearing that he was in a rather difficult fight. It would explain the scars he seemed to possess. In addition, it seemed the man was rather militaristic in style and to the point. Takashi walked up towards the man and gave him a bow as he greeted him. Takashi did the same, "Hello Iro-san", he said with respect.

The man didn't waste time at all, not by a long shot. Iro had instructed Takashi of what exactly he needed to do in order for him to actually progress. Takashi would also not have any other questions. He gave a bow towards the man. "I understand Taichou, I will begin now". Takashi did not want to waste the man's time and he was sure he didn't want his time wasted. With that, he looked focused, ready to attack the man at a moments notice.

Taking his left hand, he rose it up, with his right, he grasped the handle of his Zanpakuto. Takashi was strange, most people would release their swords now, but he didn't. He had honor, the other man said he wouldn't release his sword thus Takashi would not release his either. He drew the sword out of its sheath. The metallic sword glimmered as it was drawn. The characteristic 'shing' of the sword was heard as it was drawn fully.

Takashi kept the blade by his right side. From here, he would now begin the attack. The man rushed towards Iro, wanting to gauge his ability further. As he reached the man, he stepped out on the ball of his right foot. He kept his left staggered and began turning counter clockwise. With his sword held out, he made a simple horizontal slash towards the man's left bicep area. With his sheath, he kept it rather close to his chest. This was a simple tactic. He wasn't sure exactly what it took to have this man release his shikai, however, Takashi had some ideas.

[Iro Kuchiki]

Iro wanted to not move, wanted to just stand there, but Takashi was family. The Captain took a step back, letting the unseated Shinigami hit nothing but air. "This is your only warning. If you weren't family, I would have let you cause yourself to fail in the first movement. Release your Shikai." Iro offered no more information than that. If Takashi was unable to fathom what Iro was saying, or simply chose his actions stubbornly, then he had the potential of immediately failing this test. At least, that is what Iro was implying. This could be just a psychological attack, or it could be something of more substance...

[Takashi Kuchiki]

The shining blade would pass by the captain as he took a step back. Takashi had at least 3 or 4 moves that he could have done here. He had seen this done by Fukutaichou Kaen, and he knew how to get out of this. However, he stopped, tensing his muscles. The Kuchiki hopped back a few steps as he lowered his sword; he was now 6 feet away from the man. He looked towards Iro, his expression still bored and near expressionless as usual. He looked towards the man for a few moments of silence and began to speak.

"Iro-san...may I ask? Do you unleash your Shikai so simply? I do not ask the ease of which you summon your spirit but the cause of it. The spirits whom I fight together with, I will only allow them battle if I cannot win with my skill alone. I do not wish to involve anyone else in a fight, even if they are my partner. They wish to protect me and allow their release to me. However, I feel it is my duty to protect them as well. I wish to only call upon them when needed. However..."

The man began to raise his sword up slowly, up to the air as his eyes began to glow a furious color of shear beauty. The blue hue that lit up was like a blue diamond that was shining so elegantly, his reaitsu was increasing. "I understand that you wish me to take you seriously. You are a very fearsome opponent. As such, I will not treat you as the other shinigami I have defeated. To show you respect for your skill, for your position, and as my family...I will....". Suddenly his Reaitsu seemed to stop flowing for just a second to where the tension was released; a calm before the storm.

"Cast Out...Zaibatsu". The sword glowed a beautiful blue color. In his right hand was a Gladius. In Takashi's left, there were three knives. "Only three have seen this shikai. Only one has seen it in a battle. The rest of my battles have been without such a release. I am honored that you Taichou, are able to gaze upon this release. Now...let us really begin". The shinigami spoke as he held out his Gladius, holding it horizontally towards the man.

It was only an instant. But in that instant, the Gladius that Takashi held in his right hand increased. The blade would become huge as it shot forward, growing in both girth and length; leaving the handle as is. The sword came forward at Takashi's 360 speed, rushing to impale the man. The sword was as light as a feather. However, the moment it would touch Iro, Takashi would give it substantial weight. He was only able to hold it due to his enormous strength. Obviously, Takashi had practiced with it since he had fought Lax. He rose his left hand, ready to attack with these as well at a moments notice.

Reaitsu: 800/1000 = -200 Shikai

[Iro Kuchiki]

The Kuchiki Captain breathed a sigh of relief when his cousin overcame his feeling of honor to release his Shikai. How does he not know of Cutback... Has he only ever fought opponents focused in the ways of the body and not that of the Spirit? That will need to be fixed... With the reiatsu fading from Takashi's release, Iro could now afford to focus on the test at hand. He knew nothing of his cousin's release, but that didn't mean he couldn't analyze it and figure it out. There was an elegant knife and a more brutish Gladius in the man's two hands.

Takashi opted to attack with the Gladius, pointing it at Iro. Interested in what was about to happen, Iro watched as the blade suddenly began to grow larger. It was moving fairly fast, a bit faster than the Captain could move on his own, but he could have dodged if he wanted to. It takes more time to grow 6 feet than it does to turn ones body after all. However, the Kuchiki wanted to see what his cousin was capable of. So he simply decided to take the attack. With reservations, of course. As the sword touched Iro and began to continue to grow while also gaining incredible weight, Iro simply relaxed.

By relaxing, Iro started to sag backwards, letting the force of the sword growing disperse. Rather than pierce the Captain, the sword would push him backwards. Iro was a master of Acrobatics, including talents such as flexibility and aerial maneuvers. It was no issue for him to simply go with the force of the blade, letting himself slide backwards. He'd eventually find out if Takashi's growing ability had an upper limit. If there was no upper limit, then he'd be headed straight for the back wall 100 feet behind them and he'd could be impaled. If there was an upper limit, then they'd stop. So he would just wait and see what Takashi was capable of before deciding on an action at the last minute.

[Takashi Kuchiki]

The snow haired shinigami inspected the Captain. Interesting, it seemed as though he had taken the man's attack. He had taken the attack? Was this really the difference between him and a captain? The man was so graceful that he was simply able to be pushed back? This was so interesting indeed. It seemed the man didn't even phase as he was being pushed back. Now that wasn't good, the man was simply allowing the weight to over come him. However, there was a simple way for Takashi to fix this problem rather quickly and wouldn't take any time at all.

With his left foot, the man pushed off, it was only a quick step..but a rather brutal one. The step would accelerate Takashi forward. The reason this was bad was it would also accelerate the sword and thus Iro. They would now be moving at nearly 4000 speed. Takashi's aim was to make the impaling of the wall come much quicker. Instead of being many feet away, his idea was making it only centimeters away as the flash step would end. Takashi wouldn't stop there, he knew he had to continue with his assault. He would give the captain something to think about. For now, he would test to see what the captain would do.

[Iro Kuchiki]

Suddenly Takashi decided to push forwards in a Shunpo in an attempt to ram his Captain against the back wall. After flying backwards for a split second, feet lifted off the ground, Iro called out - "Surasutoeria!" The powerful Hado #53: Surasutoeria was an advanced version of a Kidou that Takashi should be familiar with from the Academy. All Shinigami should at least have heard of or seen Hado #1: Sho. It was a simple technique that could lightly push an object or enemy. Surasutoeria, however, did that in all directions with a lot more force.

Not only was Takashi thrown backwards at two thirds his max shunpo speed with a great amount of force, Iro too was sent flying upwards. The Kidou sent out a wave in all directions, including down, bouncing off the ground and pushing the user of the technique up into the air. As the younger Kuchiki was thrown backwards back towards the stone doors, the elder was headed up for the ceiling, head first. A simple flip and a half put his legs in the air and ready to push off of the roof. As he hurtled back down to the ground, he flexed his spirit just to show Takashi what he was up against... and also to help stop his fall.

Pushing a burst of reiatsu out of his body, Iro managed to cushion some of the impact of falling from the ceiling to floor. When he did so, Takashi would notice a black ashy substance left on the ground where Iro hit. It was flaky, and clung to Iro's clothes as he moved. Dusting off his Haori, which had grown a small cut in where Takashi's sword had made contact, the Captain talked a little for his cousin's benefit. "To answer your earlier question... No, I don't release my Shikai against just anyone. However, I have trained my Spirit more so than my Body. It took hundreds of years of work, however, without the use of my Zanpakutou I can still stand on the same level as those who rely on their release. Later I will tell you the story of Xerxes..." And then Iro just trailed off. Still testing his cousin, he waited for Takashi to act.

[Takashi Kuchiki]

The attack came quick, this was the reflex that he had expected to come from a captain. Iro wasn't even serious and Takashi was already having trouble even though he was released. The shinigami wasn't really well versed in fighting opponents that were so damn good at kido. However, he would have to learn all these things. Most of his opponents had been physical up till now. However, there were now spiritual aspects that he would have to deal with.

As the shunpo moved, Iro would quickly cast a kido that would greatly push everything back. The push cased Takashi to let go of his sword and be pushed back at 2400 speeds. He gritted his teeth as some blood came out. Thinking quickly, a gladius instantly formed in his hand. He put max weight on it and max growth. The sword pushed into the ground, ripping into it. He continued to grow the sword, making it as heavy as possible. The sword's weight combined with its friction of the ground greatly slowed Takashi. However, he had arrived close to the edge of the other side almost. It was lucky that this room was so massive. However, that attack was definitely a pain to deal with.

Takashi noticed that Iro had fallen from the ceiling at this point. He could feel his reaitsu that was impending down upon him...there was indeed a lot of pressure on him now. The man came crashing down, ther ewas also some black ashy substance left on the ground. The man narrowed his eyes as the man spoke. Takashi simply nodded as he did, it seemed as though the man was indeed very competent in these matters. However, Takashi had to be smart as well.

The shinigami used shunpo once again to quickly close the gap, arriving 20 feet away. He would now have to think. He made his sword slightly bigger, the gladius in his hand now the size of a very large zwielweilder. Gripping it with his right hand, it glowed blue. The man twisted in a counter clockwise fashion. His sword turned to cut the man's left bicep. However, the sword was glowing blue and was continually growing at Takashi's max speeds. This was done so it would be difficult for Iro to move in that particular direction. The sword definitely had weight on it. As it would hit, it would unleash a lengthy shockwave too, the length of the blade.

With his left hand, simultaneously, Takashi grew his knives. He threw them upwards diagonally from his left hip so they would hit the man at a diagonal; making it harder for him to move right. They grew for as long as it took him to flick his wrist up. They came in a line, diagonally towards the top right side of Iro. The man would also have to deal with not only the shockwave, but the nearly 15 foot knives that were there as well. Takashi definitely keep the man on his feet.

Reaitsu: 625/1000 = -50 shunpo, -25 sakugen

[Iro Kuchiki]

Takashi, though he hadn't yet picked up on Iro's weakness, his asthma and weakened stamina as a result, was still fighting in the perfect manner to pressure Iro. The best way to fight a Genius was to keep up the attack with unrelenting force. They tire much more quickly than normal fighters. Recovering from the Hado with his sword, Takashi switched straight from defense to offense on a dime, aiming for three different attacks at a time. A physical attack from the left, a reiatsu attack from the left, and another physical attack from the right.

Iro drew his sword in a flash out of the elegant sheathe. Immediately, something would appear wrong to Takashi. Down the entire length of the center of his Captain's blade was a black streak, as if the blade was already cracked and weakened. It was a taint, a corrupted part of the sword. It made the black pearl at the bottom of the hilt make more sense and the ashen residue caused by Iro's reiatsu being let loose a little. There was something... corrupted and tainted about the Soul Reaper, and the evidence of that was clear when just looking at the sword.

Besides the taint, the rest of the sword was beautiful. The polished silver steel of the saber blade showed the great care that had been shown to the sword. It was shined and polished at a military level of quality. The guard was in the basket form, which extended from the pommel to the cross guard where the blade met the hilt, protecting Iro's hand from direct attack. The studded guard also would allow for that to be a possible avenue of attack if things got in really close combat. For now, however, Takashi was content to attack at a range.

With the zwielweilder coming to hit Iro first, he swung the flat of his blade at the sharp edge of the sword that his cousin was swinging at him. He highly underestimated the boy's raw strength, finding himself sliding to the right. His sword held up perfectly fine, while Takashi's developed cracks. The edge that came in contact with Iro's blade would have a square sword sized chunk taken out of it as well. As Iro slid to the side, he pushed outwards with his reiatsu, protecting himself from the Sakugen that fired off of the sword.

Iro was in a different spot than he originated, but it was nearly ensured that his young squad member would simply adjust the throw of the knife accordingly. Blinding quickly, Iro's sword moved at 3000 stat speed to knock the knife aside in a broken heap on the ground. Shunpo Karin was the step technique for a single limb, allowing the Shinigami to throw his arm and sword to the side blindingly fast. When the knife had been dealt with, Iro kicked out at the weakened zwielweilder, aiming to snap it in half where it had met Iro's extremely durable Zanpakutou.

"What's next?"

[Takashi Kuchiki]

There was a kick which broke the man's sword. Iro seemed to be good..too good. The man was able to completely defeflect the man's sakugen attack as well as the other attacks. It seems as though Takashi would need to take this to the next level. His intent would be to throw so many attacks at Iro he wouldn't have any idea what to do. Takashi saw his sword get broken with a single kick. With this, he didn't hesitant. There was something about the man that seemed rather ready and willing to attack it seemed. He really wanted to prove himself. He instantly dropped the sword and instantly there were three knives that formed in his right hand.

The attack would come as soon as the man would be flicking his knives away and turning to attack. This is when Takashi had dropped his sword. The knives grew at 300 speeds he stepped out with his right foot and began turning counter clockwise again. With his left hand now raised, there was a Gladius there that was extending to its maximum height. Takashi had instantly disappeared appearing only a few feet from Iro, it was time to attack.

The attack came in quickly as the man was twisting councter clockwise still. He added a significant amount of weight to his left hand, having the giant sword just drop his left hand. At the same time, he was slicing out towards Iros left side with his long, claw like knives which were now rather huge. There was one more thing that Takashi did, with his head he motioned downwards. With this, the knives that were off course suddenly twisted around and came back with the same momentum. They spun and were aimed towards Iro's right shoulder area. With this, TAkashi had created three more attacks for Iro to deal with.

Reiatsu: 575/1000= -50 shunpo

[Iro Kuchiki]

The swords that were all broken were suddenly in Takashi's hands again. The remains of the weapons still littered the ground, however, he had fresh weapons in his hands. He wasn't fashioning weapons out of raw material like Iro could do in Shiaki, rather, he was simply making more and more of his knives and another sword. His ability was simpler, however, Iro could still remember the weight behind that large sword. The Captain had a much broader control over constructions, and Takashi had a finer control over his swords.

With the three swords being thrown, and Takashi already moving to Shunpo again, Iro decided that he needed an omni-directional defense. "Keiro no Mizu: Odori no Kaze" Iro began to spin in a circle, holding his blade pointed up as he did so. He continued to spin while twisting his sword as his cousin got around him. The knives and the sword would be knocked back by Iro's durable sword, breaking them again as they collided with the sharp edge. But even as the attack was repelled, Iro continued to spin. As he spun and twisted his sword, he built up air pressure around him, whipping around into powerful winds.

A tornado began to grow around Iro and with a slash, the Captain released it outwards in all directions. It wasn't a very strong or fast wind, but it could pick up Takashi and throw him back a bit if he was caught directly in the path of it. After the tornado was completed, Iro began to spin his sword. He spun it so fluidly and dynamically that he appeared to be holding a round shield on his wrist though it was actually his Zanpakutou being spun around so quickly. This defense was particularly potent in that just a push from the arm could deliver winds powerful enough to stop projectiles, or he could snap his arm forwards in a vicious stab. Takashi had been trying in vain to hit Iro, and soon Iro was going to go on the offensive. Not yet, but soon.

[Takashi Kuchiki]

The white hair shinigami looked on as Iro used his majestic techniques. It was unique the things he did...he was relaly good with his Zanjutsu. his beautiful blue eys narrowed upon the man whom avoided his attacks yet again..now this was getting annoying. This man had so many skills it simply crushed his sword. It seemed the gap between these two was far....much farther than he had anticipated. This feeling hadn't come up in Takashi for quite a while. The young shinigami wanted to get stronger...much much stronger than he was now.

Takashi's blades were all destroyed by the wind that was produced. This was interesting indeed. The wind blew through the man's weapons as though they were nothing. It was good that he wasn't in the way of everything. The shinigami pushed off his feet as soon as Iro began spinning. He hopped back at 300 speeds to avoid what was coming. Truthfully, Takashi had thought he was going to propel himself forward like a bullet. He was relived when he found that the man wasn't going through with that plan. However, it was now a pain in the butt that Takashi couldn't attack with his weapons. It was yet again that he had been in trouble with kido.

Inside, his displeasure grew, as violent as the wind that Iro had cast up. Thankfully, Takashi was able to avoid it. However, Iro now stood with a rather powerful spinning sword of wind. This made Takashi realize that he needed techniques...definitely more if he hoped to beat these other shinigami. It was at this moment he realized he had to keep on the pressure. Iro didn't seem to be as strong nor as fast as Takashi. However, he was able to destroy his only form of attack. In addition, he was able to create some saw like blade on his wrist. The shinigami would now keep his eyes focused upon Iro, it was time for him to attack. It was lucky he had let go of his other blades and pushed back to nearly 40 feet to put some distance. The man had to think now. His eyes narrowed as his hands were now weaponless, he had dropped them all.

With his left hand, he formed three more blades, light as a feather and 5 feet wide. The blades rested in between the spaces of his fingers; his thumb excluded. Takashi threw it curved towards the man; adding weight again. The blades would spin around and curve to hit the man's right side. Right before he threw them, he had his right hand slightly cupped, it wouldn't really look unusual but it facing back. There would be three small inch and a half pin needles would form discretely. Now it was time for the attack. With only the back of his hand sseen, he began turning counter clockwise. As for the previous attack, the blades would be 4 feet from Iro, curved now towards his right side. Instantly, Takashi disappeared at near 4000 speed. When he appeared, he was perpendicular to Iro.

Takashi's right hand at his top speeds simply moved a few inches to Iro's left shoulder, he would feel a smacking like sting, most likely due to Takashi's strength, or so he may believe. However, this served as a precaution which Iro may be able to see through. The hand was there so the man couldn't turn counter clockwise and utilize his shield of wind. With his left hand held out, Takashi held a thick 4 foot sword instantly. This seemed precaution against Iro's spinning sword, in case he decided to move it as well. Now came another attack. An unbalanced small knife formed on Takashi's ring and pinkie finger; readily falling down. With a flick of the two fingers, the knife was headed straight for Iro's chest cavity. Iro would have to fend off this attack along with the spinning blades that were now hitting at the exact time. The attack perhaps was a well organized plan...but that was to be seen.

[Iro Kuchiki]

As Iro idly spun his sword around, Takashi jumped back and prepared more attacks. He threw more knives and stepped towards Iro again, coming from the opposite side. "Your attacks are potent, but predictable." Iro used Shunpo himself, stepping backwards to avoid the curved trajectory of the first knives and the second set of attacks as well. If the knives didn't hit Takashi himself based on their curved path, then they'd definitely clatter uselessly to the floor. "If you want to hit me, you'll have to mix it up a bit. And if you want to pass this test, then you'll need to hit me."

Still spinning his sword, Iro called out before Takashi could formulate another attack that needed so much setup. His attacks had been extremely telegraphed and had been at such long range that Iro could see them coming from a great distance away and react efficiently. This time, the Captain was going to switch things up. "Rikujokoro." Six beams of yellow light would come out of nowhere, seeking to pierce the young Kuchiki through. But they wouldn't do damage. Rather, the incredibly fast moving beams would simply paralyze his entire body.

[Takashi Kuchiki]

The snow haired shinigami had to act quick. He was happy that he had at least pushed the man backwards. However, this was nowhere near what he had expected. The man assumed that this test would be a lot easier for him. However, he had only seen Kido used once before. Seeing it now on a higher level was definitely something that was making him feel much less superior than before. The man's drive to become stronger had gone up substantially. However, in this case he would have to act quick. With Takashi forming his blade he would simply move it upwards to, slashing to knock the blades that were coming at him down; it was a good use of his left hand. He had dropped some pin needle like substances on the ground. It seemed the man was being quite serious here.

The beams of light would most likely hit the first three blades as Takashi pushed off his left foot. Due to this, he moved at nearly 3000 speeds in a forty five degree angle. The attack was very fast but it was lucky for him that he was able to dodge by seeing the strange glowing light that emitted from the man's finger before he fired. It was obvious that he should get out of there, he also thought it was some 'blast' attack. Takashi had to think quick now thought. It was time for him to continue fighting Iro and his attacks really were too straightforward. Perhaps he should fight to what he was most accustomed to. The man could feel a bit of his breathing becoming irregular. He had to think of a way around this man. Kido was his complete opposite fighting class. Because of this, he would have to become innovative..want to win...want to not be humiliated.

With his hands free now, Takashi formed a long gladius the side of a Katana in his right hand. With his left hand there was a single long knife that was the length of a sheath. The man would now attack. He pushed forward, rushing towards Iro at 300 speeds. As he approached him, he would make the same attack as when he started. He began moving his sword in a counter clockwise attack. His sword was horizontal and aimed to cut towards the man's right bicep. With his left, he held the sheath length knife against his chest.
