Iwamichi was completely wrong. She expected to see a look of disappointment on Kazura's face as she slipped and fell, but that was far from the truth. As she quickly jumped onto the staff weapon, flinging it into Kazura's face, at first he was mildly surprised at the sudden existence of wood in his face. He had a high tolerance to pain, sure, but no one like to be hit in the face when they expected to be striking another person. He contemplated for a moment just what that meant.
Kazura's analysis had failed. He had expected his opponent to do the logical thing and block the attack, from there he would transition to a more complex movement, but she hadn't done what he had expected. Instead, she turned his attack into an attack of her own, in a surprising way, and though she fell because of a bad circumstance, that was only because there just wasn't a lot of room. Not to mention this wasn't exactly her area of expertise. Kazura had seen her shape an entire room to her whim. Later on both of the Fullbringers would be at her mercy if given the proper scenario.
Rather than a face of disappointment and disgust, Kazura had a face of approval and surprise. He was proud of her work, and now that she knew an area where she needed a bit of work, she could train that on her own and improve. He took just a few seconds to let that approval of his employee sink in before he turned to John. "This ends now." With a flick of his wrist and a mental command, Kazura had a machine toss him a pair of metal gauntlets.
That gauntlet wasn't just an ordinary weapon. Inside was hollow, and full of compressed air. Kazura pointed his now gloved hand at John, and mentally willed the weapon to fire. A compressed ball of air shot out, and while it didn't have nearly the pushing strength that John had, it wasn't aimed to contend with the strong fullbringer. All it had to do was take out the wooden pole he was standing on. The wood would break apart and John would go crashing down to the ground.
As he did this, the second gauntlet started to glow. It wasn't aimed anywhere, it just started to glow and hum. If John had fallen, Kazura would have smiled and talked to both of his employees. "No reiatsu used. Just the power of science. Sometimes you need to look at the rules a little more... loosely. I followed the letter of the rules, while still retaining control." Kazura was about to make a big speech, it seemed. He was in soap box mode, as if he was a preacher on the side of the road, standing on his box to be heard. "Here at Uzaki Enterprises, we are to follow the laws while retaining control."
But just what did he mean by that? He was about to explain. "The Shinigami tell us that we cannot hunt Hollows. In fact, they hunt us down when we do. So, we don't hunt the hollows. Yet. I've been trying to gather brilliant minds to help science win over the beasts." Kazura gestured to Iwamichi, who by now should definitely be on her feet and regaining her serious composure. "I'm going to need scouts, who can seek out recruits and bring them to our cause, while keeping tabs on the earth." And then he pointed to John, in whatever state the teen was. "And I'm going to need strong bodies to protect us."
Still standing atop his pole, Kazura continued his speech. "I believe that if humanity and the other occupants of the Earth can group together under one banner, we may unlock the secrets that will put us on par with the Shinigami. That is my desire for this company." It was a pretty noble goal in its own right, but Kazura realized that John and Iwamichi might not have the same ideals as he did. "Whether you follow my desire or not, you will be paid for any work you may do to help out. Whether that is hunting down hollows or exterminating threats, or building things for our arsenal, it matters not. All help is appreciated. John and Iwa could respond to his speech in whatever way they wanted, or if John had a way of avoiding the air blast he could also proceed to continue the game. Regardless, Kazura would pause a moment before introducing the next game, in case the other two wanted a chance to speak.
