((Baja gave me permission to control Alexander a little bit so we can wrap up this thread.))
After all that talking, Amaya had a pretty good idea about Alexander as a person. Having white as a favorite color, coupled with his earlier comments, meant he was a man who saw himself as righteous. He was the one who would restore the balance of power between the worlds by partaking on a campaign of slaughter, leading a new crusade against the other races. That’s the man that Alexander was in Amaya’s eyes right now, and she’d gathered that from nothing more than him saying peace was fruitless and his favorite color was white. Psychoanalysis might be a bit of an understatement in this case. One could probably accuse her of jumping to conclusions a bit, but when your conclusions are fairly accurate, it’s hard to place blame.
Food choices also revealed a good bit about Alexander. His favorite food was beef. The manliest of meats was his choice, and that probably meant he saw himself as a man’s man. Though he didn’t drink, so he probably wasn’t much of a partier, he still probably saw himself as manly in his own way. The whole righteousness thing probably tied in a good bit here. Holy men didn’t drink, but they were still men that people should, in theory, try to emulate. Refusing to answer questions about sex didn’t help the whole “holy man” vibe either. In the end, this whole manliness concept was backed up by the fact that he also said he’d eat basically anything put in front of him. That was the kind of unrefined opinion that Amaya tended to associate with a macho attitude.
She’d gotten the Captain pretty well figured out by this point, but it seemed like their meeting was to be cut short. Some random Shinigami knocked on the door, let himself in, and whispered something to Alexander. Neither student could hear the message, but it was clear the Captain had to get back to his other duties. Before he left, Amaya did have a quick response for him based on the analysis she had been able to perform. ”Don’t let your goals get in the way of common sense in battle Captain. Strength is only valuable when used wisely.” This was just one of those times where the healer showed the wisdom beyond her years. Alexander had a lot of power, but his attitude meant he was the type who might just charge straight at an opponent without any regard for injury. If he tried that against strong opponents, his pride could be the death of him. Regardless, those were the last words exchanged, and the interview was over.
