Zieg didn't make a single word as he was stabbed in the chest, since he was the one to make the choice of saving Shauna and he knew the risks. Yes, he did try to counterattack but when he appeared and saw what he did, he knew it was too late to try and drive them off. He made a split second preparation for main and simply stood infront of Shauna as he human meet shield as he was run through by Kassen. Zieg choked a gasp from the sudden pain, almost sounding like he was gagging as he forced himself to stand in place, his bankai carved in half as he dropped it and it hung down at his side uselessly. Hell, he would have dropped down to the ground on his knees if not for the blade stuck in his chest. He attempted to fight through the pain, to grab hold of Kassen's to crush his neck with a choke hold, but before he could do anything, he felt himself jerked back and away. Before he knew it, he was in a different part of the battlefield and Zieg no longer had the blade in his chest. He dropped down to his knees, panting as he stared forward and suddenly, there was a hand on his head. He didn't try to drive it away, he couldn't but he suddenly felt a healing energy surge through his body. He felt the wound he had recieved sealed up in an instant and any internal damage had been fixed as well.
It was a miracle, Zieg looking down at his chest and seeing for his own two eyes that he had been healed, in disbelief that someone had this kind of medical power. He looked up at his saver and saw that it was Death-sama, whom had a tired look on him now. His power was god-like, even to a shinigami, Zieg had never heard of a healing ability like his and yet, he experienced it first hand. "What... are you...?" Zieg questioned Death-sama, trying to grasp what exactly he was. There was no way this guy was just a human, nor did he seem to be shinigami or some kind of arrancar. He looked from side to side, a sigh of relief escaping his lips as he saw Shauna was safe. Well at least he had done something right. Suddenly, he sensed somewhere appear and looked, seeing that it was Enma. He told Zieg that he had to leave, that they would cause more harm then good if this battle escalated. "Wait, I need to tell them something. Death-Sama, Shauna, you need to know." He stated, forcing himself to stand as he panted gradually. He had to inform them of a piece of information he witnessed first hand.
"The Ogatago have been converting the souls of shinigami into their soldiers, their Guardians. I experienced it first hand, the shikai abilities of a dead shinigami friend of mine, being used by a soldier. Their leader, this man in a white tuxedo, I don't know what he needs but I need, you need, we all need to find out. No being should be able to do what he has and I have no idea what else he has plan but it will threaten us all. Please, help us and let us help you in return. Both this man and Satsujun will be the end of us all if we don't do something together, you must realize this." Zieg pleaded to the one known as Death-Sama and Shauna both, his eyesight going back and forth between them as he told his case. He really wasn't sure if he could gain them as allies but he honestly wanted to help them and for them to help him and the Shinigami in return. It was really their decision and Zieg laid it out on the table. Whether or not they accepted, Zieg was going to leave with Enma, he had to. Enma was right, if this battle continued, they would destroy Karakura Town and Zieg wasn't going to do that. He probably wouldn't even be able to with his bankai weapons destroyed but still.
