[This is a fight between Aramis Tezuka and Hiroki Rosute. In accordance with the experiments regarding his growth, Aramis has been required to continue to train to further his abilities, fighting a variety of opponents. This includes the unusual singularity of Hiroki, a man who is incapable of release due to his own immense reiatsu. The fight will take place in the squad 11 training grounds. Hiroki has the first post]

Hiroki, once again walked to the training grounds of the 11th Division. The combat squad. Today, he wouldn't be fighting a mere wooden figure for sword-practice. Today, he'd fighting something more alive. Something that could give him a challenge. Maybe. He was fighting a man, with a unusual heritage. He couldn't, however, be bothered less with his natural heritage. He was only interested in one thing, and one thing alone; how can he fight? How indeed? He then walked into the training grounds, taking a few steps into it. He took in the smell of the air. It was stained with the sweat of the fellow comrades in arms, all training to better themselves. That was their goal. Now he has to follow his goal.
He then saw Aramis Tetzuka. He was meant to fight him. That was his goal. That was all he cared about. He was slightly shaking with anticipation of the fight around to occur. It wasn't anything truly noticeable, though he could feel it. His thirst for combat was almost able to be tasted on the air, if it wasn't cloaked by the smell of old sweat in the training room. It would be a shame if he only used Kidou. Hiroki wondered what he had in-store for him. He also wondered if he had achieved his Shikai. That would be a fun thing to overcome. There was yet another thing.
He wasn't aware that it was for a experiment. A experiment on how Aramis' powers, and their growth. However, whether it mattered or not to Hiroki, will remain a mystery. Whether it was purposeful or not, was a mystery. Everything is a mystery. He took another look at Aramis, though not for any special reason. He didn't bother about analyzing Aramis upon first meeting him. It wasn't his style, to put it simply. His style was merely to charge in, and see what happens next. It's more fun when you don't know what's going to happen.
However, there was thing worth analyzing; their difference in height. Hiroki, was a titanic 6"10, compared to Aramis' 5"8. A foot in difference, and above. He walked over to Aramis, with a heavy walk. It was across quite a large portion of the training grounds he had to walk across. After he had walked up to him, he merely got straight to the point. "I believe I haven't seen you around here before. You Aramis Tetzuka?" he asked. He was merely curious, whether this 6th Division man, could overcome a man from the 11th Division. Whether it was possible or not, he'll soon find out.
Aramis stared ahead with a nihilistic gaze. A gaze that suggested he did not care if he was there or not. Vacant, blank, any word that could be used to describe a void of emotion. He had a katana slid into his belt, his recently formed zanpakuto. That had been a real excitement for the 12th division. To know that a Nakabakki could create their own Zanpakuto. He was now being pressured to see if he could release it as well. That was yet to be ascertained. He was here because he needed to be here for the betterment of knowledge, and so he was. Just as he always was.
His opponent finally appear. A large, hulking individual, this was the stereotypical eleventh squad fighter. Aramis stood as he approached and spoke. He suggested to Aramis who he was, and rather than affirming his decision, Aramis seemed to ponder his statement for awhile. "...B." He stated, as if that was all that needed to be heard. "You are Hiroki Rosute." He replied, not as a question but as a statement of fact. He seemed sure of himself, in a bizarre, drifting sort of way.
Aramis unsheathed the katana at his hip before flicking it to a rather unusual pose. Normally, a katana would be gripped in both hands, held in front of the body, blade tilted up towards the opponent's face. Aramis's grip was quite different, gripping it in one hand, the blade held parallel to the ground in front of him, the tip pointed at Hiroki's chest. Aramis shifted his legs to support his weight better for easy movement forward and back. "My strength was desired to be evaluated, and you were deemed the fittest opponent within the range, to evaluate it against." Stating his purpose. "Might we begin?"
Aramis seemed to be willing to wait for Hiroki to draw his zanpakuto, however. He was apparently, not about to rush in, before his foe had a chance to defend himself. Aramis well understood that would defeat the purpose of the experiment. His sword tip quivered in the air as he awaited Hiroki's move. Would he draw his blade? Or would he rush to strike Aramis with his fists? How did a man of the eleventh division fight? And more importantly, how did a unique individual like Hiroki fight? That would be evaluated now. Squad 12 wasn't just interested in Aramis, they were also quite interested in Hiroki's capabilities as well.
Post by Hiroki Rosute on Oct 23, 2012 3:43:40 GMT -5
After he had finished his statement, he had waited for a short amount of time, and waited for a response from him. "...B" replied Aramis. This confused Hiroki slightly. However, he tossed it away from his mind; anything confusing was useless to him. "You are Hiroki Rosute." said Aramis, finishing off his statement. It seemed that, this was the man. A straight answer would've been more helpful, though if that is all he can get, that is all he should take.
He watched as Aramis unsheathed his zanpakutou in one swift motion, then flicked it into the position he wanted. He then got into his preferred stance for battle. "My strength was desired to be evaluated, and you were deemed the fittest opponent within the range, to evaluate it against. Might we begin?" He was stating what he was here for. He was straight to the point. No need to ask for a simplification at all. This was turning out to be great already.
Hiroki reached out, to his zanpakutou's hilt. His zanpakutou was in the shape of a behemoth of a nodachi. It was sheathed on his back, due to it's large size, even for a guy as large has him. The fabric around the hilt was stained with his sweat, from his rigorous drill exercises. He then grabbed it, and pulled it out slowly. From what Aramis would be able to see, it was a rather pleasant chrome colour, with tinges of red, black and blue all through it's blade. When he brought it out of it's guard fully, Aramis would be able to see it much more clearer. The blade had dimensions 180cm (5"5) long blade, and a 30cm (1"0) hilt. The sword-guard was in a mess; while it was originally in a circular shape, chunks have been cut out of it, making it look worn down. Finally, three black tassels adorned the pommel of the zanpakutou, all roughly cleaved off.
He walked back a few meters, just to give some breathing room so they could start properly. He brought his zanpakutou in a rather aggressive position; aiming the tip right at Aramis. Now, he attacked in the most usually style of the 11th Division; full frontal assault. He took a charge right in, blade ready to attack, or defend. When he was close enough, he was swing a small arc at Aramis, using his skill with the sword to attack. He would be swinging with just the right amount of force, to attempt to take the energy out of his arm if he blocked. If he was going to dodge, he'd have to do it in advance of the charge.

His foe drew a sword of impressive size, with which to attack Aramis. The Nakabakki continued to stare ahead impassively, as though he were in no hurry to begin, despite his abrupt attitude. But he did not have to wait long before Hiroki charged headlong towards Aramis. Aramis watched his sword curve down into a downward slash at him. Despite the size of his foe, the arc of the swing was actually quite small, something that almost surprised Aramis. Was his foe a more cautious fighter afterall? His charge hadn't suggested it, but he would see.
Aramis's blade flicked up, parrying Hiroki's blow effortlessly. Despite Hiroki being stronger, Aramis used fencing technique, using a point near the base of the blade, to collide with Hiroki's near the tip. This allowed Aramis to push Hiroki's swing aside with little effort, despite Hiroki's greater strength. Aramis's counterattack was quick though, and his blade licked forwards. Aramis was slicing with the tip of his katana, driving the tip towards the inside of Hiroki's left forearm. Simultaneously, Aramis gave way, retreating back from Hiroki. The result was that Aramis would sacrifice damage for security.
Even if Hiroki could not evade Aramis's blow-- a likely event as Aramis had struck whilst Hiroki was recovering from his own swing, because of his retreating movement, Aramis's zanpakuto would not cause significant injury, only drawing a shallow cut on the inside of Hiroki's forearm. Aramis's sword immediately flicked back to his original fighting posture, prepared to defend and counterattack Hiroki's next attack. His eyes scanned Hiroki, as if anticipating a followup attack, or any sign of an opening that he could exploit.

A attack has landed on his arm. A satisfying ripping sound could be heard, coming from Hiroki's shinigami attire. So the guy could fight; what a wonderful thing. The cut had barely hurt. He had barely felt pain, due his high pain tolerance. Little blood was coming out of the wound. It wasn't something to be worried about; it wouldn't impede him in the least, thought it could be another target for attack. However, for all his skill with the blade, the man had deflected his zanpakutou. The man was going to be worth it. Maybe a ranged approach was needed? That was the most amount of strategy he could ever come up with.
He drew off the most basic skill he had; creating a ground-based wave of reiatsu. However, due to the potency of the reiatsu, it was hard to control how strong it is. However, it always traveled at the same speed, and it was a very fast speed. It was a rather draining move of his to use, (with his current reiatsu), but it was vital to use before he was getting tired. In forward-thought, the wave wasn't all that large, probably barely 2 meters. The stat speed was that of 400, while his reiatsu was still potent. He would have to strike hard, and fast to win, before his stamina got the best of him.
Hiroki got his blade into a position, where he would be able to pretend that he was charging at Aramis. It then subtly charged the chrome coloured blade with his chrome coloured reiatsu. He charged slightly, then slammed the blade onto the hard floor, giving out a large metallic thud. The wave surged into life, and ran across the floor, at the aforementioned stat speed. If Aramis was observant enough, he could get away with merely clipping the wave.

Hm? That was unusual. Aramis had misjudged his opponent. He had expected a member of the eleventh division to rush in, slashing in every direction, in an attempt to wound him. Perhaps Aramis claiming first blood had intimidated his opponent? That would indeed be remarkable, if it were the case. He had thought the members of the eleventh division nigh fearless. What could Aramis expect? From his opponent's hesitation he seemed intent on changing tactics. What new attack would he come at Aramis with?
His question was answered when Hiroki struck at the ground. That was curious... no wait! A long range slash!? He was channeling reiatsu through his blade into the ground to launch a long range attack? And it was fast! Aramis moved as swiftly as he could to evade the blow. He had made some space when he had retreated, following his cut, but it wasn't enough. As Hiroki had anticipated, the wave of energy clipped Aramis's leg, sending the Nakabakki tumbling to the ground.
Now was the question. Would Hiroki follow up with a melee strike? Taking advantage of Aramis's fallen position? Or would he continue assault the Nakabakki with that ranged attack? It was a powerful move, that much was certain, and it seemed he was able to continue to use it, as it did not seem to tax him much. Aramis rolled up to one knee, immediately pointing his blade at Hiroki, so that he would impale himself upon the blade if he rushed at Aramis too carelessly. A defensive maneuver, intended to waylay an attack until Aramis could recover his footing.
This was a troubling situation, that went against Aramis's normal fighting style. If he made distance from Hiroki, then he would only encourage this technique, though he would certainly have room to maneuver. Still, the attack was fast, and it was possible Aramis would not be able to avoid it. He also did not want to risk damaging his zanpakuto in trying to block it. Deflecting it was right out of the question. D[/color] Aramis thought, mentally awarding himself a D grade in his response to this situation. A moment of indecision could be costly.
He had no choice. He could not afford to duel Hiroki at long range, and Aramis suddenly kicked off the ground, striking at Hiroki with a perfect fencing thrust, extending his legs off the ground to thrust the tip of his sword at him. Well. It was perfect up until his struck leg came into play, and it wobbled, weakening the speed and power of the thrust. It seemed that although Aramis's quick reactions had safeguarded him from having his leg broken, it had still sustained some degree of damage from the attack. As a result, if Hiroki wasn't surprised from the sudden blow, it would likely be possible to evade it.
Still, it appeared Aramis was pressing for a close range duel, where he could prevent Hiroki from using further shockwaves, in an attempt to keep the eleventh squad shinigami under pressure. He had not witnessed any particularly notable skills from his adversary yet, with regards to swordsmanship, and held confidence in his own skills to that effect. How would Hiroki respond to this sudden aggressive turn of events?

On the contrary to Aramis' belief, he did not feel fear, particularly to a cut on the arm. A little cut to be sure, but still; no fear was found in him at this point in time. He had a slight grin on his face when he had clipped his leg; he was faster than he thought. Now it was time to have some more fun. Or a breather. He had barely noticed that he was approaching one of his stamina thresholds; he would try to preserve it for as long as possible, if he could. He let his foe get a quick breather, as he did too; he approaching the point, to where his reiatsu loses potency. He saw Aramis get into a defensive position, aiming his blade right in front of him. Hiroki did nothing to reply. No movements at all; he was still trying to preserve his precious reiatsu potency for as long as it could last.
Then Aramis took his leap towards Hiroki, with his damaged leg; the wave did less damage than he thought. However, he leapt a fair distance. Hiroki perfomed a technique that could be slightly painful to Aramis. He re-enforced the edge of his zanpakutou. His zanpakutou already had a massive length, width and sharp edge. It was a blade, seemingly meant to slice through swords. However, when he re-enforced his zanpakutou, it is taken to a whole new league, far above of what normal shinigami could attain, due to his powerful reiatsu. He took a numerous amount of quick slashes when Aramis was close enough; a few aimed at his zanpakutou, others at him, for the sole purpose of making him unable to continue. He was using his sheer skill with the sword, and had aimed for the tendons in his sword-arm, when they where most tense. After than he would then jump back, and give himself some breathing room, since he had practically just gone over his stamina limit for his reiatsu. This means, that he could possibly only fire one more of his techniques off, or a few of his lesser ones. What to do?

Hiroki met Aramis's attack with an attack, using the length of his blade to his advantage. However, Aramis was in mid-thrust and couldn't change course. So instead he lifted his left arm, and deflected Hiroki's first swing. Amazingly, he wasn't bleeding. Although Aramis's arm LOOKED normal, it was anything back. Only disguised by the technology of squad 12, in the form of the shackle around his wrist, Aramis's arm was not flesh and blood, but a vicious shadow. It did not bleed, and it was bound in a chain that was bonded to Aramis's very body. That chain, though invisible, thanks to the shackle, had enabled Aramis to deflect Hiroki's blow with his arm, without losing it, and that shadowy substance that composed his arm did not bleed (though it was still cut by his swing). And thus, despite Hiroki's swing, no visible damage could be seen. This would probably puzzle Hiroki somewhat.
But more importantly, Hiroki's decision to attack instead of defend would cost him. While Aramis normally favored striking shallow cuts with the tip of his blade, in fencing, the thrust was designed to be a finishing blow, and Aramis's thrust was no exception. With no effort made to defend Aramis's thrust, the tip of the Nakabakki's katana would find itself piercing into Hiroki, right below his ribs in a fairly serious, and deep wound.
This would also present a problem for Hiroki. The nodachi's strength was in the length of the blade, but that could be used against the user. Right now, thanks to the momentum of his thrust, Aramis was too close to Hiroki to continue his onslaught of slashes. Completing a swing would be awkward, and he would be unable to put much power into any swing he made, as he would barely be able to hit Aramis with the base of the blade. Still, the Nakabakki kept his arm up to try and ward off any attempt at a swing the eleventh division shinigami would try.
Aramis faced a similar problem though. He would not be able to draw his sword OUT of Hiroki, unless Hiroki moved back. As a result, when Hiroki tried to jump back, Aramis allowed him to, enabling him to pull his sword out of his opponent, and assume his fencing stance once more. Something had caught his eye in that brief exchange, however. "You're sweating." He remarked. Apparently Hiroki was already becoming fatigued? While Aramis himself was breathing a little bit heavier than at the start of the duel, he was far from tired, and only the lightest perspiration could be seen on his brow. Hiroki seemed to be fatiguing very quickly however. That was something Aramis could use to his advantage.
Post by Hiroki Rosute on Oct 27, 2012 1:15:25 GMT -5
"You're sweating." He was right; Hiroki was getting taxed rather severely, and he was stabbed below the ribs, to boot. However, due to his pain tolerance (3), and bleeding tolerance (2), it wouldn't be a large problem for a while, even though it was a pretty serious wound, although it was only a matter of time. And since he could barely understand how to wrap a bandage, he was unable to try to fix it. He'd have to rely on Squad 4, even though he hated their guts, to put it mildly.
He was wondering how when he had cut his arm, there was no blood. There was nothing. No pain, no nothing. In fact, he had actually blocked it altogether. It was a true question, if he ever saw it. However, he didn't have enough time to try to worry and wonder about it, considering he never worried about anything, and he was currently too prideful to ask. Though he would say yes if he was asked how it worked. There was no shame in that.
He was breathing deeply, he would have to try to stay still to try to recover. No matter how much Aramis could deal out, he'll have to stay still and take the beating, though if that didn't work, then he'd always have his backup move. However, that would only be effective after he'd have rested some more. If he did it now, he could do that, and another wave attack, or if he waited, his reiatsu would be restored, and he would be able to launch more. What to do?
He got his nodachi in a defensive position, just in case Aramis tried a offensive. It wasn't really taxing on his body, and he would be able to defend better against his blows. If worse comes to worse, he could always grab his sword, and attempt to cut him, at the expense of a bleeding hand. Other than that, what else could he do?
Post by Aramis Tezuka on Oct 27, 2012 2:16:54 GMT -5
Aramis noted his opponent was playing defensive. So that fatigue was real. He was getting tired, and getting tired quickly. Aramis decided it would help to force him to keep working a bit. And how better than a life threatening attack? Aramis moved from his fencing position to send a thrust directly at Hiroki's face! From his fencing stance, he was able to better support his injured leg, than when he had tried to lunge from a crouch, and so did not suffer the loss of power he had previously incurred.
The thrust at Hiroki's face, however, was a feint. At the last second, Aramis pulled back from the strike, cutting again with the tip of his blade down from Hiroki's shoulder across his breast, from Hiroki's right shoulder, to about his solar plexis. Like before, it was a shallow wound, but an irritating one. It would also be difficult to defend against, if he failed to read the feint, as his defense would be centered around his face. Aramis pulled his blade back quickly, however, to prevent him from grabbing hold of it, and attempted to move off to Hiroki's left, whipping his blade downwards, to slice at his Achilles tendon, and damage his mobility. Again, this was not intended to be a deep cut-- just deep enough that it would damage the tendons and muscles and inhibit Hiroki's movement. You could ignore pain all you liked, but damage to the body's muscles and tendons would still inhibit you.
Aramis finished his combination of attacks, by rapidly whipping his blade upwards in a small arc to take it away from Hiroki's tendon and make a shallow cut in his side. Very much, the death by a thousand cuts.
The reason Aramis hadn't cut straight up, and potentially caused more damage, or withdrawn and then attacked again was simple. Cutting up would allow Hiroki to more easily defend the blow, by targeting a block or parry straight down. Arcing it back, behind the leg, would force him to reposition first, in order to defend it. And pulling back was too predictable. Aramis had pulled back after every blow he had executed thus far had been in a sequence of attack and retreat. Immediately flowing from one attack to the next would hopefully break this assumed rhythm and disrupt Hiroki's focus even further.
Despite the fact that Aramis's gaze still seemed vacant and drifting, it was clear he was a pragmatic and deceptive duelist. Always working to stay one step ahead of his foe, constantly altering his fight patterns to play with his opponent's expectations. He hoped that the longer this duel dragged on, the harder he would become to read, until Hiroki could only hope to slash at shadows. "The tree that focuses on standing straight, instead of the axe, will only be chopped down." Aramis remarked.
Post by Hiroki Rosute on Oct 27, 2012 5:38:19 GMT -5
The whole strategy on Aramis's part would of worked, if it weren't for one small detail, he grabbed Aramis' blade at the feint aimed for the face. At-least, that's how it appeared for Hiroki. It was a habit to always leave a hand free, incase of situations like this. Sure, the guy was faster, though Hiroki had matching skill in Hakuda, as Aramis had in fencing, and had a longer range. His hand was being turned into a blood red colour, with his blood. Though due the nature of the feint, it merely escaped his grasp, meaning that little blood was drawn by the blade.
Before he knew it, his (left) Achilles tendon, breast and side had been cut. After each and every cut, Aramis had leapt back. Then Aramis made his statement; "The tree that focuses on standing straight, instead of the axe, will only be chopped down." However, Hiroki wasn't interested in his words. Although Aramis wouldn't be able to finish his statement, as Hiroki leapt forward using only his right foot, mid-sentance, when the foe is often distracted with their own words. He grabbed the hilt of his blade with his bloodied hand, and gripping it tight. While it was damaged, he still was stronger than Aramis, if only just. His grip was tight. It was tough. It was a grip, and a clenched fist of pain; all the pain that he was tolerating, was going into keeping his grip on this damn man's sword.
Hiroki then made a statement, a reply of sorts, to Aramis. "Good thing I ain't a damn tree!" He then unleashed a shockwave of the same nature as before, striking moving at the same exact speed, 400. However, unlike last time, it was larger, while still equally as concentrated. Was he getting more desperate? At this point blank range, even if he (Hiroki) wasn't able to grab the blade, it would be nigh impossible to dodge. No matter if Aramis blocked with his 'unique' arm, the shockwave would merely move around it, or even just attempt to destroy it with everything else. Reiatsu isn't like a blade; it can move around things as well, hence why the arm wouldn't be as effective, if it was at all.
He then mustered everything he had, and started attacking with a flurry of attacks with his sword. All his skill. All he was, was going into this. He was a swordsmaster. A damn good one, one of, if not the best in Squad 11. No matter what Aramis' speed was like, nor his skill with fencing (if he broke his sword free), or hakuda, or whatever the hell else could stop him, he would get strikes down on him all over. He was a whirlwind of destruction. He never bothered to attempt to aim for pressure points; he had no idea where a single one was. All he did, was aim for joints, and for his undamaged leg's tendon; a pay-back of sorts, for the work that he did on his own.

Hiroki had tried to snatch Aramis's sword from the air, and as a result, now had a cut on his hand as well! That went better than expected, as Hiroki was now suffering from an injured hand as well as several other cuts on his body. These wounds were rapidly adding up. Already, Hiroki had shallow cuts across his breast, forearm, side and leg, and that very deep wound in his torso. Despite this, Hiroki attempted to grab hold of Aramis's blade at the hilt. Aramis tried to move the blade back, but was unsuccessful in moving it away in time, though he succeeded in moving the blade back enough that Hiroki's grip would only grasp the top of his guard. In other words, the bottom of Hiroki's hand would be in direct contact with the base of Aramis's blade. And if he was holding on tightly, this would open up yet another cut.
That wasn't the focus though. Aramis saw that Hiroki was lifting his sword to attack. Though Aramis did not realize it was a shockwave, as before, he still understood the concept, of striking whilst the opponent was unable to defend themself. Aramis moved quickly, perhaps even foolishly, to intercept, turning towards Hiroki's front and snapping his own arm forwards. His target was Hiroki's wrist. Aramis was grabbing it, to prevent his adversary from swinging his weapon, and thus, preventing him from performing his reiatsu attack! But there was more. More that, though Hiroki might not understand, would hint to Aramis's true identity. His grip did not feel as it should. Aramis's true arm, had sharp pointed talons, in place of fingers, and those pointed tips were digging deeply into Hiroki's wrist, to secure a grip. This would be strange to Hiroki, of course, due to the fact that Aramis's arm SEEMED like that of any other shinigami.
A stalemate, in other words, with both fighters having locked down the other's weapon. Though Hiroki was stronger, it wasn't by very much, and Aramis would be able to, at the very least, restrict his ability to swing his sword like this. "C+" Aramis stated. Again grading the performance, though whether he was grading his own attack or Hiroki's, was unclear. He did, however see, that the perspiration on Hiroki's face was getting heavier. He was definitely getting exhausted.
Aramis didn't, however, know about Hiroki's hand to hand mastery, and did not realize the dangers inherent in attempting to grapple with such an experienced martial artist. This did not stop him, however, from trying to fight Hiroki at this range regardless. Aramis was no master martial artist himself. He had received basic hakuda training at the academy, but it was not extensive. This did not stop him from trying to exploit what he perceived as a weak point, however, and delivered a stomp attack, at Hiroki's injured leg, intending to knock his opponent over, and allow him to create distance, to attack with his sword again. It was crude, and far from flashy, but it was very fast, because of the short distance needed to cover. Despite his experience, Hiroki would definitely struggle to defend this attack without the use of his arms, or ability to step back without breaking their deadlock. It was also because of the minimal movement required to perform the attack, would be easily missed by Hiroki if he wasn't explicitly watching for it. How would the eleventh division shinigami respond now?
Post by Hiroki Rosute on Oct 27, 2012 20:58:00 GMT -5
Oh, what luck. He had grabbed his wrist before he was able to strike. Good thing it didn't truly need to strike the ground. Hell, he didn't even need the damn blade for it. All it was good for was giving it a direction. Even cutting the air is good enough, albeit it would make it a pansy attack, compared to if it hit something solid. He dropped his blade, flicking it to make it aim cut Aramis' arm. The reiatsu exploded violently. It was wild. Untamed. You could use a numerous menagerie of words to describe, though Aramis would come to describe it as simply; painful, particularly at this close range.
However, he had felt something truly odd about his arm, quickly thinking back on it. It felt... Sickly. Deathly. Hellish. Those fingers didn't feel normal either. Not in the slightest. They... Well, nothing could truly explain it with Hiroki's experience with it. Whatever it was, it didn't matter. An arm was a arm, no matter how weird or special it is. It can be destroyed like any other arm.
He then saw his blade clatter away, to the edge of the combat area. The edge was worn down, rough, and it had some more damage placed to it. It was deemed useless for now. His hands would have to do. He then attempted to knee Aramis in the stomach. A sliced tendon doesn't impede the knee, particularly when aiming for the diaphragm. However, due to the fact that Aramis tried to stamp on it, it clipped his foot, sending waves of pain into his leg, however, the knee had already gained much momentum.
He then jumped into the air, using his right leg, spinning around, attempting to twist Aramis' arms around, and dis-arm him of his sword. After that, he could throw it with his own sword, the useless things they are. What good it ever do for him? It lacked any sort of speed. He did all the work, all it did was get duller, blunter, and over-all, more clumsy. It held him back, to put it simply.
He then head-butted Aramis. He always had a hard-head. Now it can come into use. If it came into contact, then it could hurt. If it landed, than Hiroki could do another few in rapid succession, much like how rapid palms to the fore-head can daze people, this would be with a fore-head. It appeared Aramis couldn't completely prevent the shockwave. It is unnecessary for it to have gained any momentum to perform a wave attack?[/i] Aramis thought. "A." He replied, grading Hiroki's performance yet again. His arm slipped from Hiroki's, badly damaged. He probably wouldn't be able to use it for awhile. His stomp attack was deflected by a knee strike from the shinigami, and only served to dull the strike that collided with Aramis's gut. He staggered, but couldn't break contact, due to Hiroki gripping his sword.
That was what happened next. Hiroki's disarming attempt worked, as Aramis released his blade quickly. However because he so readily release his blade, Hiroki would find that Aramis wouldn't be spun around with him, and he had exposed his back to the Nakabakki! Aramis, though unused to hand to hand combat, still understood the basic idea of hitting someone when they exposed their back. Balling his right hand into a fist, Aramis hurled an overhead haymaker towards Hiroki's kidneys, while he was in mid-spin! That would definitely hurt, and be quite difficult to avoid.
As a result of letting go though, Aramis was able to see the headbutt coming. In response, the Nakabakki stepped backwards to avoid the headbutt and threw a clumsy hook punch with his right arm at the side of Hiroki's exposed head. It was rough and untrained, but it'd probably cause some pretty good damage it if landed. That said, Aramis was running out of options. He wasn't exactly that good with kicks, and he only had his right arm to swing. If it was his left arm, with the claws and chains, he might have had something, but he struggled just to move that arm after Hiroki had struck it with his shockwave. Punching with it, or even grabbing onto him would be very hard to do.
It occurred to Aramis that he could try that trick. Recently, a surge of power had curled up inside of him. He had... transformed. Beyond a shinigami, not unlike an arrancar's ressurection, he had transformed. He remembered it. It had happened quite recently. He'd felt sick to his stomach, and his vision had gone dark. When he came to, he felt.... different. Feral. Murderous. Vengeful. All those words insinuating dark emotions. He had wanted to kill. He had been restrained by Squad 12, and eventually turned back to his human form, but it stuck with him. No. That was out of the question for a fight like this. He wouldn't let a power like that warp his mind again.
All he could do was fight on with the tools he had. His advantage. My arm. My advantage his fatigue. Looking at him, he must be completely exhausted. He won't be able to use his full strength anymore. His movements will be slower, and sloppier. On the inverse side, he is clearly more skilled with his hands, and I only have my right arm to fight him. Aramis considered his options, as he awaited Hiroki's impending blow, following his quick counterstrikes.
