The Kaguya looked at the man as he took another drag of his cigarette. After taking a final drag, he extinguished his cigarette into an ashtray on the bar counter. His black scarf that carried the Kirigakure symbol was covered strategically, so it simply looked like a scarf. It would be an unwise mistake to have his Kiri origins in plain site. The bartenders first comment didn't surprise Raito as he lifted an eyebrow at him. He hated looking down as a kid, though he knew his age Raito always felt above all until proven otherwise. The Kirigakure shinobi took out another second cigarette, showing he was a constant chain smoker. It seemed it didn't affect him, maybe because he worked out so constantly it neutralized the malefaction from cigarettes.
Raito looked at the small glass of sake that was placed in front of him by the bartender. He held the cup up to his nose, it had small scent of alcohol. It had a sweeter scent than he noticed of other adults drank. The Kaguya quickly gulped down his first glass of alcohol, in seconds a redness covered his cheeks. He looked at the bartender, "Heh, this alcohol thing isn't that bad," Raito replied to the bartender. The Kaguya felt more loose and much more different in his life than he ever felt. The cigarette he smoked seemed to have a stronger and 'better' effect. "So I was wondering what's up with shinobi around here?" Raito asked. He knew he had to still take things cautiously on this mission, though he was tempted to straight up ask - "WHAT DID YOUR VILLAGE DO WITH MY COMRADE!?!""I heard a shinobi from another village was slain around here from some talk around the streets, whats the deal with that? That's not good for business is it?" Raito said, almost insulting the bartender in a way.
He had to find out some information and he guessed the bartender would know at least something. Most people would get drunk and talk to their bartender when they had troubles as they got drunk. They were almost like therapists, but to drunks. Raito sat there taking puffs out of his cigarette and letting the smoke slowly run out of his nostrils. He waited for a reply from the gentlemen.
"Ohh, I wouldn't know anything about that, kid." the bartender said to the Kaguya boy named Raito. "I just serve sake to whoever comes in here. Just because some Shinobi that's dumb enough to sneak into our village dies, doesn't mean people don't want to drink." The rain continued to fall in the village as he spoke. It made loud sounds of pitter patter outside. Endless. Infinite. Nonstop. The rain couldn't possibly stop, for of course it was the village of rain. And he who commanded the village commanded its weather to allow a permanent rain. This was the rumor outside of the village. Accuracy was questionable.
"You're gonna have to leave now, kid. This is still a bar." the bartender said to Raito. It made sense. How many people were usually nice enough to let 13 year olds into their bar and allow them one free drink to try it? Of course, the bartender had said nothing of the cigarette that Raito was smoking. Were laws different in the country, or did Raito simply seem like the type of kid to be doing such a thing? Either way, he did indeed have to leave the bar. And it seemed that he hadn't quite asked decent questions, as of course he had not learned much from the bartender.
Perhaps he would have to investigate elsewhere. Until someone tried talking to him. "Hey, kid..." a man with a raspy voice said. "You shouldn't investigate these things on your own, you know. Looking too deeply into stuff you're not a part of could cause...trouble..." The newspeaker cackled after he said these words. This would be unsettling at first, but perhaps asking him a question or two would be possible. But, he soon stood up and left, walking out of the bar. What would Raito's course of action be?

Raito's red face looked at the bartender as he spoke to him about his job. It was true that the bartender could just be nothing more than a normal person working. The Kirigakrue shinobi simply let the man finish before tipping the man a thousand ryo on the table. He had a lot of ryo, and money wasn't the biggest concern for Raito. The Kiri-nin was given a lot of ryo for completing a lot of tasks. He wouldn't be of the higher level genin if he didn't do many missions. He said, "Thanks bartender-san." Raito took a drag of his cigarette.
It was when he was about to exhale the smoke, he heard an eerie voice speak to him. The voice wasn't familiar, but it cautioned him. He slowly exhaled the smoke as he let the cigarette fall to the counter. This man's voice wasn't just a normal person's voice. He could feel the menace in it and he knew that this was more of the person he should've been pursuing regarding his mission. He got up, but as he did his scarf drooped slightly giving a split second for the bartender to see one of the mist markings on his hitai-ate.
Raito quickly fixed his scarf to cover the hitai-ate fully and he placed the pack of cigarettes in his pocket. He stumbled slightly as he walked out of the bar. He waved behind him, signaling the bartender a good night. "I don't even know if its day or night, it's always raining out here," Raito muttered to himself. This village's ominous rain was much like the thick mist that shrouded his home village. It made him adept at staying low key and not being easily spotted. He was good at blending in.
The Kaguya walked out the door and saw the familiar shadow of the eerie voice. He followed after in the rain and quickly caught up. The rain started to pour on him, soaking his clothes. He grabbed the man by the shoulder, "What do you know about the death of the shinobi I was speaking to the bartender about?" he asked. Raito's left hand was on the man's shoulder, while his right hand extended several inches of bone from his right knuckles. They would be hidden in the darkness of Amegakure's never ending rain spell. "Tell me what you know?" he said in a more violent tone.
There were people walking by, but they seemed to be in a hurry. Even if living in endless rain, they seemed not wanting to get them soaked. They carried on with their daily tasks, not paying attention to the two stopped between two large metal skyscrapers that littered Amegakure everywhere. The rain and darkness would make this conflict undiscovered, until it blew out of proportion. At any moment, an Amegakure shinboi could come by and spot them if they were to start a battle. Raito had to be careful, but his drunken state made him more rash than normal.
