OOC: Actually, yeah. That's exactly what I did. I decided to throw in a bearsnake.
IC:
Well, first thing was first. A snake couldn't beat a bear. Well, at least, not a stone bear like this. Sure, in nature some snakes really probably could bring down bears. However, this one wasn't able to. One smash of the claws, and the snake splintered, smashing into the ground like cheap glass. It had appeared to be made of diamond, but seemed instead to be rather fragile. It had been like a "Made in China" doll. The bear roared, its eyes glowing. One thing that should be noted was that brute strength probably wasn't its main ability. Shade might know this, if he'd ever taken time to study Bount, but the first dolls of new age Bount were usually elemental. Exceptions existed, but oftentimes the first one was actually the main one. It was the strongest, and the other two backed it up. This one seemed weak compared to other dolls that could be seen if one looked through random Bount. However, it was certainly a contender that could hold its own against some random Hollow. It was worth approaching, most likely.
Meanwhile, it seemed Giriko was a good negotiator. When he returned, he had a sailor with him. It was the one who wore the expensive looking suit. He was willing to work for minimum 1000 ryo a day. This meant that each 24 hour period on the ship, he would earn 1000 ryo, plus 1000 ryo on the end day, meaning the day that he got off, regardless of time. Technically, this meant he'd cost perhaps 6000-7000 ryo at maximum, unless there were problems on the way. Good, not all that expensive. It was ironic. The one in the expensive clothes was the most desperate one. "I'll be back, you guys!" he shouted to his sailor buddies. So, they would wait for him on this island while he was on the trip. Did this mean Shade had to drop him off as part of the contract too? It was reliable. But, since this island was on the way back, and assuming this guy actually survived, it wasn't a bad deal. In terms of strength, his reiatsu was not all that impressive. He was probably only good up to a Gillian level. If he fought a Gillian, he'd die.
