Okay, so I desperately need to get some more ideas for Kanashimi down, thus I decided to create my own Test RP.
Now then, I intend for this to be a relaxing rp, non-combatant. Maybe a small conflict here and there, but please no all out war. This is simply to introduce Kanashimi and help me get a better grasp on him.
Now then, if you have any general ideas for a starting point in the rp, feel free to suggest. 3 people max would be appreciated.
Update: Ah screw it, I need practice with Kanashimi... I'll accept all ideas

((Alright, I'm going to make a start.... Hop in if you want.))
The gale seemed to howl in his ears as the pitches of the wind instrument rang out. Up and down the pitches would soar, mingling with the night breeze. The soft melody would mix with the magnificent roar creating something truly outstanding, and yet bearing way for the storm to come. His left eye obscure to the world, would peer out to the brilliant city below as his fingers moved gracefully over the intricate burrows made in the bamboo tool he wielded. Lips pursed gently against a small indentation, and air coursing from him to the instrument would create the melody that sounded quite melancholy. His right eye watching the clouds afar discerning the secrets they held and the future they foretold. It was quite an ominous future indeed.
His single good orb would tear away from the distant heavens to the city streets below. His hands not lowering as he continued to let his song be heard with the graceful maneuvering of his nimble fingers. Making a small adjustment of his head, his bangs would tango with the howling gale that was promptly becoming more ferocious by the minute. The black locks of his hair would dance gracefully with the wondrous fiend the gale was becoming, twisting to and fro, almost as though his long ebony tail were ballroom dancing with the fiend. As if signaling to the ferocious fiend that was to become more gruesome, the pinwheel adorned in his hair tether spun faster and faster, making a slight whirring sound in his ear as it increased speed.
This had to be some sort of omen, he could feel it. The storming clouds in the distance, the starry night sky overhead, not to mention, the innocent city below. It almost felt like to him that he had been set out here as bait, much like that of a bishop or perhaps rook on a shogi board. The ominous situation did not quell well with him, in fact, it made his quite bitter. He felt almost as if he were being used, almost as if they were expecting something or someone to come. This was most distasteful for the man bearing the 6th Kanji on his back.
OOC: I won't be entering this thread, but I suggest testing everything out by requesting someone host a Free RP Adventure with this forum's system in conjunction with this incompleted character.
This way you can test battle ability, and social ability. You can test all frontiers.

The notes pierced through the night like a comet through the sky and made their way to the arrancar’s ears. Zeruel Moreno de Las Noches IX enjoyed the arts more than most of his species, and especially enjoyed the beauty of music. Few arrancar could grasp the emotions and feelings portrayed through music, but Zeruel was wise beyond any other of his kind and saw beyond the notes and into the true meaning of the melody. It was a beautiful sonata and the Exequias Second wished to know who it came from. The arrancar left his spot on the grassy plain and pushed his way through some shrubs and out onto a hill overlooking a human city. It appeared that the source of the melody was a shinigami. Zeruel didn’t wish to engage in a fight, but wasn’t exactly scared enough of this man to remain hidden. The Exequias walked up to the Kuchiki, allowing him to finish his song before he spoke. “Kekekekeke...” he laughed with a devilish grin that might make Kanashimi wary, “You play so loud that I could have found you in a hurricane...”
In truth Zeruel was thinking about how beautiful the shinigami’s melody was and how thankful he was for the opportunity to experience the kind of art the shinigami surrounded themselves with. Obviously as an arrancar, Zeruel was rather detached from what life in Soul Society was like. He wanted to learn more about it, but such information was not given freely to him for obvious reasons. He was the sworn enemy of the shinigami simply because of his race. He was no longer required to devour human souls yet was still hunted by soul reapers simply because he lived in Las Noches. This was the flaw in Soul Society’s justice. They were a racist establishment of elitist warmongers. Zeruel would live in peace, never slaying another human or shinigami as long as he lived if Seireitei would allow it, but no... Instead he was constantly thrust into war by Sonken Kouhai who was responding to attacks by Soul Society. It was a vicious circle that Zeruel knew was inescapable. He could only sit back and let things run their course, for he knew that fighting against fate was hopeless after all his years of experience.
“What do you think you’re doing out here all alone, captain?” said Zeruel with a smirk. He wasn’t really as devilish as he was coming across. This whole personality he was displaying was nothing more then a ruse. It was an act that the 35 millennium old arrancar put on to conceal his true passive, caring nature. His real feelings were masked under the shroud of a generic aggressive arrancar personality. How would Kanashimi respond to the arrancar? He came with no intent on fighting, but his actions and words said otherwise. Only Zeruel could truly know what he felt and smirked as he waited for a reply from the captain.

The notes would continue to resound through the howling gale. As they did, Kanashimi would make note of the presence lingering not even ten feet away from him. Not that it mattered; he felt no quarrel with such a presence as the arrancar Zeruel. Even as the song faded, overtaken by the fierce gale, he remained quiet for quite some time. As if in thought while he placed the small instrument into the safety that was its minuscule case that hid among the folds of his ebony kosode. As Zeruel made himself known, he still said nothing, merely turning his blind eye towards the man-beast. Towards the creature that was supposed to be his bitter enemy.
The tone in the arrancar’s voice surely portrayed him as one to be quite brute. No… aggressive is more like the correct term. He found it degrading how Zeruel spoke to him. No regard for status, no respect, nothing. It was almost as though the arrancar were referring to the Captain as a beast as well. This, Kanashimi found rather appalling. Appalling to a point where he turned his head away from the arrancar, as if not wanting to see him even though his left eye had been oblivious to Zeruel to begin with. "You speak as though you are looking for a fight..." His winter-like voice held no emotion as it barely sounded above the howling gale.
It was quite unfortunate that the ominous feeling he had had produced something such as this. The encounter of a shinigami and an arrancar. Yes... most unfortunate, for whom though Kanashimi believed it to be the arrancar. "What does it matter that I am here? I am simply following orders..." His hands fell to his sides as the tekko on his right hand creased from his middle finger to his wrist, indicating the hands non-relaxed position. The gale would blow past them like a jet engine, ripping the pinwheel out of Kanashimi's hair tether and carrying it away. Kanashimi casted his sapphire gaze to the small trinket as it was torn to shreds by the gale upon clashing with a tree. Perhaps this was yet another foresight for the Captain as to what would come.
With the storm that had been approaching nearly upon them, Kanashimi knew this encounter may not end well. The constant ominous messages the storm sent him being enough to tell him this fact, but now the arrival of Zeruel confirmed it. Yet something else just seemed off to him, could it be that he was cursed with this encounter with this man? Or could it be perhaps something else that made the captain feel uneasy. He couldn't tell.

There was a certain other individual that had accompanied the Captain of the Sixth Division, the head of the noble Kuchiki Family, and newest member of the Seireitei. He to, was listening to the melody the newest Captain was producing, staring up at the stars with eyes closed and smile on his face. This individual was also garbed in plain Shinigami attire underneath his blue coat bearing the twin symbols of the Kido Corps, though lacking the collar. This was the Captain of the Kido Corp, Taien Hadohou. Why had he come to this place with the Sixth? Simple. He wanted to get to know the guy a little better. After all, they were both Shinigami, and at one point they would probably be working with each other.
Taien was greatly enjoying listening the other Shinigami pour his soul, so to speak, out into the world in the form of melodious music. It was quite relaxing. Soothing even. Though a bit melancholic in sound, it still was a beautifull piece of music to be listening to on a night like this, lit by the city below and the stars above. It was almost poetic. Someone should write a Haiku about it. However, something else came. Taien didn't know who or what it was, but something just dropped out of thin air. His energy sensory was good enough to know that, though not good enough to distingush the race of the owner of the Reitsu. As such, Taien got up a bit and looked towards the intruder.
Taien had fairly good vision, and because of the lighting of the night, he could see the person fairly well. He had odd, elf like ears. Pointed and everything. Yellow spiky hair as well, though that was normal for around these parts. What reaaaallly set of the weirdometer in Taien's mind was his smile. It was huge, with unnaturaly sharp teeth. He caught that little tibit in a flash of moon light glistening off his teeth. As Taien was on a hill that was just two stories above the Sixth Captain, he could hear the exchange of words quite clearly. Taien saw no need to step in right now. Though it seemed as if a fight was about to start, it just didn't . . . feel like one. If things got more heated though he would step in. Though the Kuchiki and Arrancar didn't seem to notice him at this point. . .
Description: The user makes use of his innate speed to move flawlessly. From a standing stance, or from any resting position, the first step that the user does becomes an illusion, moving quickly than the eye can see. This technique gives the user a short burst of speed to move and invade an opponent's personal space, and engage in hand to hand combat, or to weave in and out of an opponent's attack. This move triples normal speed for each step, and uses no reiatsu.
How to use: The user simply channels reiatsu around his feet instead of gathering spirit particles as what Shunpo or Sonido does.
Drawback(s): Shukuchi-Ho requires its user to have at least a base SPEED of 400 points, and is versed in Hakuda (meaning the character must be very knowledgeable in the shinigami art of hand-to-hand fighting). Also, the technique can only be used if the opponent is within 10 meters of the user. If the opponent is too far, the technique cannot be used. A maximum of 2 steps per post can only be done using Shukuchi-Ho, nothing more, nothing less. Note that Shukuchi-Ho is by no means superior to Shunpo or Sonido.
Technique Description: This is one of the most utilized techniques in Hakuda, simply because a great number of opponents, shinigami and Arrancar alike, rely on swords as opening. Shiraha Nagashi is meant to be used against opponents who relies heavily on sword, or any bladed weapon in general, allowing its user to parry an attack, and do a well-timed punch at the same time on the opponent. This allows an attack that is both very hard to dodge, and block, simply because it was being thrown at the opponent the same time as the opponent's attack, while also parrying said attack. The parry blows away the trajectory of the sword away from the user's body using a shockwave thanks to the corkscrew trajectory of the punch. If the user's base Strength is greater than that of the opponent, the weapon is blown away, leaving the opponent disarmed.
This technique can parry against attack an opponent does as long as the user's total Strength added with 100% of his/her current Strength is greater than that of his opponent. The power of the punch executed by the user, however, is only at 50% of the user's base Strength. This technique is meant as a counter-attack more than anything, and is a favorite among Hakuda users, mainly because it uses no reiatsu, can be used multiple times, and it is not very taxing to use.
How to Use Technique: The user forms a fist on one hand, and cocks it back at waist level. He/she then punches toward an opponent while the opponent is attacking with a bladed weapon. The fist must perform a corkscrew movement, starting with the palm of the user facing upward, twisting with force counter-clockwise in such a way that the thumb faces upward just as the blade of the weapon comes in contact with the fist. The shockwave from the twist pushes the blade aside, and then the user uses his/her shoulder to extend the range and further twist the punch so that the palm is facing downwards as it connects to the opponent's torso (or any body part readily accessible).
Drawbacks: The technique requires it user to have a base Speed of at least 400, a base Reiatsu Strength of at least 500 (because the technique requires above average reiatsu channeled around arm being used; note that it is channeled, not expended), a Base Strength of 100, Base Instinct and Senses of 100 due to its nature of being a counter attack. Also, this technique can only be used in response to an attack from a bladed/cutting weapon, and will not work against blunt or intangible weapon (reiatsu-formed weapons, maces, etc), making it very specialized. The technique has limited range as well. If the opponent is using a spear, even if it has a bladed tip, the user will not be able to reach the target simply because the target is too far. Simply put, the technique is limited by the user's arm reach.
Technique Description: This technique is second only to Ikkotsu and Sokotsu in power, and none in terms of speed and execution. The user adopts a low stance, crouching slightly, with both hands cocked at waist level. The head hangs back a bit, and the dominant foot is placed forward, with the other foot supporting the weight of the body. The user then focuses on the target's movements.
Once the target gets close enough, the user then explodes with a four-part attack that increases in intensity. The attacks are impossible to evade if target has lesser Speed than the user, and goes through blocks if user has 20% more Strength than the target.
First part of the attack starts with the user stepping in quickly, closing the gap between the target and the user as fast and as smoothly as possible. During this time, the user executes a blow towards the target's chin using a powerful kick, sending the target flying up high. The user's strength for this blow is multiplied by 2 for that single instant.
As the target flies up, the user then executes the second part. He jumps up to the air, shadowing the target in a parallel, vertical position. As the user shadows the target, the user executes an elbow strike towards the target's spinal cord, near the base of the neck, causing temporary nerve strain on the target, lowering reaction speed by 50% for 1 post. If the target has less Strength than user, the reaction speed loss lasts for 3 posts instead.
The user then quickly uses Shunpo or Shukuchi-Ho, moving to the front, and executing the third part, which is a one-step attack using the knee. The user performs a knee-strike to the abdomen of the target, drilling hard on that area with a focused strike, penetrating defense of the target if the user has more Strength than the target, and causing high damage.
After the knee strike, the user then prepares for the final attack. The user moves above the target and flips the target so that the target's chest is in front of the user. In one powerful push, the user then performs a heel kick toward's the target's chest, drilling on the target's sternum with the heel. For this strike, Strength is multiplied by 3 for that one strike only. The strike ends the technique, and sends the target cascading towards the ground. Everything happens in a few seconds, not even a minute. That's how fast the technique is executed.
How to Use Technique: Stated above.
Drawback: The technique requires its user to stand still and focus on its target before execution. If the user's Speed is less than 400, the technique is impossible to perform, simply because the reaction time needed to execute the technique is very fast. Instinct of at least 100 and Senses of at least 100 is also required to perform the technique. The technique induces a bit of a strain to the reiatsu channels of the user IF they connect, causing a 20% increase in reiatsu consumption on all techniques that lasts for 3 posts. Strength is lowered by 10% for 1 post. Uses 50 reiatsu for Shunpo if it was used instead of Shukuchi-Ho.

“You speak as though you are looking for a fight...” uttered the captain without even looking in Zeruel’s direction, “What does it matter that I am her? I am simply following orders...” The arrancar’s smile widened along with his eyes as Kanashimi spoke these words. “Orders?” he said with an interested, mischievous tone, “Orders given to you by Soul Society I assume. And why would you follow these... orders...? What is your drive? What is your purpose? Why follow orders given to you by an organization bent on bringing war to those that do not wish for it?” The arrancar’s mental onslaught would pummel the man’s ears as Zeruel’s devilish smile widened with each word he spoke. In reality the arrancar was actually rather interested to see how the shinigami would respond. He’d often wondered what the shinigami’s view of justice was.
Meanwhile Taien looked at Zeruel from a distance. His teeth and ears were his two most defining features but there would be something else that the Kidou Captain would notice about the Exequias Second. Zeruel’s eyes moved from Kanashimi right to him without any change to his devilish smile. Just as Taien had sensed and spotted Zeruel, Zeruel had sensed and spotted Taien, and there was no point in remaining hidden. The Kidou Captain’s immense reiatsu was easy to pick up, even with Zeruel’s less than impressive energy sensory. But one thing that might disturb Taien would be that even though the arrancar could feel just around how strong he was, his smile didn’t fade in the slightest. There was no fear of death in Zeruel’s eyes, for he’d died far too many times before to fear such an experience. To Zeruel, death only brought about new life as he was reincarnated as a child-like version of himself.
“Looks like you brought a little treat...” said the arrancar wearing what could only be described as a demonic grin as he stared at Taien, “He feels powerful... How fun...” Zeruel was indifferent on actually getting in to a fight, but his false personality, which he had based on his old system of beliefs, was somewhat aggressive and conniving at times. It was difficult to get his intended thoughts out in ways that would match what would be in-character for his false personality. What Zeruel would have said if he’d felt comfortable with showing his true colors to a random stranger was, “I am curious as to why it is that shinigami view Soul Society as true justice. If you could enlighten me as to why that is, I’d be most appreciative... Also, I see your friend over there and he feels rather powerful. Obviously I’d like to avoid fighting and would love it if you’d be so kind as to give me an answer to my questions.” But Zeruel did not say that. His words came out masked under a the layer of passive aggression that his false personality injected into just about everything. It would be understandable if things escalated into fighting before long.
Post by Raar Hum Raa´rh on Oct 30, 2011 15:08:05 GMT -5
While Zeruel was having a chat with Shinigami, another Arrancar was listening. Out of their sight, but still able to see and hear them was another immensely powerful Arrancar. Raar Hum Raa´rh, other Exequias Second was just kind of man that was rarely letting others see him. Also, he was Zeruel`s partner, so he followed him. Staying out of sight, with his Reiatsu masked, Raar was waiting. He was intrigued. Those two Shinigami were quite strong. He was going to let things go their own way. But, in case of battle, he would jump in to help his partner. He never doubted his partner`s ability. Raar knew well enough that Zeruel could take care of these Shinigami on his own without much trouble, possibly without releasing. After all, Zeruel, same as Raar, was among strongest people in Las Noches, and certainly stronger than most Espada.
But, Raar would still jump in battle if it broke out. That way, he could get more intelligence, which was valuable. However, even without battle, Raar was trying to gather as much as he could. While it was obvious that one conversing with Zeruel was Captain, it was other one that was attracting his attention. Raar never saw Shinigami dressed like that, but his senses were telling him that something was off. That level of Reiatsu... Only two people possessed that level as far as Raar knew and those were Tercera Espada, Rey Diablo and Exequias leader, his superior, Shiroi Hokai. Something was definitively off. What was this Shinigami? Who was this Shinigami? How high is he ranked? Is he like Shiroi and Rey, without release? those were all questions that needed answer, and Raar was well aware that only patient observer could get all answered. So he remained hidden, but nonetheless ready to act of needed, wondering what would happen next.

It was quite demeaning how this creature spoke to him in that preposterous attitude of his. How this things carried himself and spoke to the noble man just seemed oh so degrading to him. It was almost as if he were speaking with a brute that knew nothing better than how to fight, than how to egg on a fight... It was quite appalling. However, when he spoke again, it struck a sort of sour note for the Kuchiki Head. “Orders given to you by Soul Society I assume. And why would you follow these... orders...? What is your drive? What is your purpose? Why follow orders given to you by an organization bent on bringing war to those that do not wish for it?” "You not wishing for war? Preposterous, all you Arrancar ever do is nag us Shinigami for a fight. On and on you go, slaughtering humans and shinigami alike. Have you ever considered what you foul demons do?" He stopped for a few moments as he turned to view the creature with his only sight filled slate orb. It was then in a crack of lightning that he saw the creatures jagged features.
That spikey golden hair whose bangs tossed and turned with the fierce gale. The condescending blue eyes that seemed ever so sharp. Most of all those jagged teeth that took homage in his mouth. All aspects of him, the hole in his gut, the white garb, the jagged hair and teeth... All of it seemed almost too pegged to one word for the taichou. Monster... He truly saw the man standing before him as not a man, but a foul creature that must be slain.
He closed his eyes for a mere moment in thought, before looking upon him with his cold gaze that his right orb produced. "I need not explain myself to a mere product of a hollow... I only need to know that he who stands before me is not a man, but a monster... A foul creature that once consumed human and most likely shinigami souls alike..." He placed his right hand on the hilt of his zanpakutou as though he were going to draw it, however did not. He would wait now to see what this thing thought of his conjecture. However, his attention was not fully on the arrancar before him.
Perhaps this was the ominous feeling he felt within him, for he got the feeling he was being watched by not just two people, but three. Was this some kind of sick joke? Or perhaps were his instincts just being paranoid. He could not differ between the sensations as he recognized the signature on the hill faintly from a previous Captain meeting. /So he is here... Why bother...?/

Hoho. Looks like he was noticed at last eh? It was only a matter of time anyways. It was rather hard to miss the Captain of the Kido Corps Reitsu, it generally billowed around him like a sky blue aura. Not tonight of course, he made an effort to try and supress it. Of course the lowest he could get it was a regular Captain level Reitsu. Not unlike Kanashimi's own level of Reitsu, but still. The Kido Corps Captain never was any good at stealth. Not when every enemy with even a slight amount of Energy Sensory could sense him coming a mile off or so.
All right then, no point in staying up here anymore. . .
Taien grinned at the thought. Then he paused for a moment, and did a few calculations in his head. He was two stories up, twenty feet, and the move he was going to use required him to be at least ten meters, or thirty feet, close to his target. Well that shouldn't be a problem then, Kanashimi was at the base of the hill, and he hadn't moved from that spot yet. It should work. Taien got up, dusted himself off, and then prompltly used a Shukuchi-Ho to move at high speed to the right of Kanashimi. As soon as he got there, he promptly sat down and grinned at the Arrancar. To the untrained eye, Taien simply poped into existance next to Kanashimi.
Taien wasn't in the least bit disturbed by the Arrancar at all. Mostly because he didn't have the emotions necessary for such behavior. Nope, instead, his own never wavering grin met Zeruel's as their eyes met, Taien's crimson and sky blue ones meeting Zeruel's blue ones. The difference between the two of them could hardly be more different, Taien's smile was completely genuine and natural. Zeruel's devlish smirk was not. Though it could be imagined that the Arrancar could actually, genuinely smile. Wasn't to big a strech of the imagination.
"Oya oya! I don't think we've been introduced. Taien Hadohou is my name, what might yours be?"
Taien asked, the light reflecting off his eyes, showing an endless sea of what could only be called happiness. What would the Arrancar make of this man? Or a better question, what would his fellow Captain think of him? Taien had a tendency to be a bit. . . eccentric at times, and Kanashimi being new and all, would probably know nothing of this quirk before hand. The three spiritual beings on the moonlit plain looked at each other. Well, four in reality. Taien knew nothing of the other Arrancar in the vicinity.

"You not wishing for war? Preposterous, all you Arrancar ever do is nag us Shinigami for a fight. On and on you go, slaughtering humans and shinigami alike. Have you ever considered what you foul demons do?" replied Kansei to Zeruel’s incessant questions. Zeruel’s smile widened and he began laughing strangely as soon as his explanation reached his ears. “Kekekekekeke... Is that what you really believe?” laughed Zeruel with a wide, fake grin, “All our kind wants is to be left alone and to feed ourselves in peace... Do not fool yourself into thinking that we are the aggressors. It is undebatable that you elitist shinigami have been murdering my kind long before the war between us escalated to this level...” Zeruel took a breath and closed his eyes as he continued to speak, “As for eating humans, I cannot even tell you the day when I last ate the soul of a human, you see, once a hollow ascends to the level of menos they no longer possess a need to devour the souls of humans. These are the hollows with which you shinigami are at war with. We cause no more harm to the balance of nature, yet we are being targeted.”
“I need not explain myself to a mere product of a hollow... I only need to know that he who stands before me is not a man, but a monster... A foul creature that once consumed human and most likely shinigami souls alike...” said the captain, getting in the final word. “Very well then...” muttered Zeruel as Taien came out of hiding using some sort of speed technique. “Oya oya! I don’t think we’ve been introduced. Taien Hadohou is my name, what might yours be?” said the kidou captain smiling in his direction. “Oh dear...” exclaimed the arrancar, “Where are my manners? My name is Zeruel Moreno de Las Noches IX... at your service...” Zeruel took a bow and turned to Kansei, “...and your name is?” The Exequias’ smile didn’t disappear. His teeth were like razors and were easy to see in the moonlight. One look at him would immediately bring the assumption of him being some kind of bloodthirsty monster, but such a conclusion was far from the truth. The Exequias wasn’t against fighting, per se, but abhorred pointless confrontation. He loved the beauty of battle but hated those who sought it out for no reason whatsoever. Zeruel had been alive longer than practically every being involved in the war between shinigami and arrancar and his wisdom would be obvious if he shared it with others. However, Zeruel kept his age, his thoughts, and his feelings to himself and instead chose to act as close to a normal arrancar as he could.

His long ebony locks would flutter like the wings of a butterfly as the gale whipped and groaned around them. The oriental hair ornament seeming to clamp for dear life to his scalp as the triplet icy blue feathers akin of the hair band his fiance had bestowed upon him frantically rushed past one another. All of this movement, however, not deterring his heartless gaze that he bestowed upon the arrancar before him with the slate colored orb that rested in his right socket.
The arrancar spoke between his sentences. “Kekekekekeke... Is that what you really believe?” The arrancar paused, “All our kind wants is to be left alone and to feed ourselves in peace... Do not fool yourself into thinking that we are the aggressors. It is undebatable that you elitist shinigami have been murdering my kind long before the war between us escalated to this level...” Kansei shifted his weight to his left foot, the foot further away from the arrancar at this point. “As for eating humans, I cannot even tell you the day when I last ate the soul of a human, you see, once a hollow ascends to the level of menos they no longer possess a need to devour the souls of humans. These are the hollows with which you shinigami are at war with. We cause no more harm to the balance of nature, yet we are being targeted.” He shook his head slightly, disapproving of the words that reached his ears before he had spoken again, seemingly gaining the last word in this conversation. He dropped his hands back to his sides and shifted his whole body to face the arrancar by the time the other Captain had arrived.
“Oya oya! I don’t think we’ve been introduced. Taien Hadohou is my name, what might yours be?” Kansei casted his gaze to the Captain of the Kidou Corps utterly silent. Here is what began to baffle him a little. Was this arrancar actually more courteous than most? “Oh dear... Where are my manners? My name is Zeruel Moreno de Las Noches IX... at your service...” At your service, hunh? Seemed like a load of bull to the noble. Still, best not to leave the beast now known as Zeruel hanging. At least not now as he was addressed.
"Kansei Kuchiki, Captain of the Sixth Division," he would inform the inferior being with his ever so heartless tone. However, then he would inquire something. "I have noticed something just by speaking with you.... You have more sensibility than most arrancar I have seen. Although, it doesn't change the fact that we're adversaries." He placed his left hand on Saigi's hilt as if about to draw the blade, however, instead he gazed to Taien. "And might I ask, what are you doing here... Hadohou, Taien?" Even to his own comrades he spoke in the same heartless tone. A tone he had developed long ago as a wall between the outside world and his feelings. A wall he learned would be very useful, especially in keeping a level head in situations. However, for some reason, even though the wall was erected and sturdy, his hand on his zanpakutou quavered as though something were bothering the Captain.

"Oya oya! Thats sure a long name you have there Zeruel-San! Whats the "Las Noches IX" part of your name mean? Are you simply the ninth Arrancar to take that name, or something else?"
Taien went on. Quite litterally nothing ever bothered Taien. Even things that could make grown, battle hardened men cry had no effect on him. Fear, sadness, anger, rage, hatred, none of those emotions were ever present on Taien's features. As such it had earned him the title of one of the most easy-going Captains in the entire Seireitei, perhaps of all time, but that was up for debate another time.
Right now though Taien was being asked a question by another Captain.
"And might I ask, what are you doing here... Hadohou, Taien?"
"Oya oya! I just thought I should properly introduce myself to you Kuchiki-San. After all, Captains Meetings aren't always the best places to introduce oneself in."
And there ya had it. Taien's motive and purpose for being here. Greeting someone. Yup, carefree all right. Maybe a bit empty headed to. Ahh well, it didn't matter now. He was here.
Another part of Taien was showing now that he had no more need to conceal his Reitsu. It was slowly boiling out of him, forming a large, brilliant cloud of sky blue Reitsu. It sort of had this effect when he wasn't actively suppressing his Reitsu. You can see why stealth is impossible now eh? Anyways, anyone with half a brain could tell that the Reitsu had no killing intent whatsoever. If anything it gave out a warm, peacefull feeling. All Reitsu basicly reflected the nature of ones Soul, as Reitsu basicly was the power of their Soul. Most of the time though, people didn't give off enough at one time for people to get the feeling of their Reitsu. That was no problem for Taien obviously.
Currently he had no idea what kind of personality or power either of the two people here had. Just going off first impressions wasn't always the best determinator of a persons personality. No, the best way to get to know someone was to have a good old fasioned fight with them. Taien was slowly getting an idea. . . He wondered if anyone else was thinking what he was thinking. If so, things were about to get fun!

“Kansei Kuchiki, Captain of the Sixth Division” replied the captain to Zeruel’s response, “I have noticed something just by speaking with you.... You have more sensibility than most arrancar I have seen. Although, it doesn't change the fact that we're adversaries.” The arrancar smirked at the man’s remark. He had yet to meet a shinigami that didn’t wish him dead immediately upon realizing his race. Racism had always existed and it would continue to exist forever. There was no getting rid of it, and Zeruel had come to accept that fact. Peace could never be attained, but it could still be sought after. Luna had taught him that the best road was the one with the least bloodshed. "Oya oya! Thats sure a long name you have there Zeruel-San! What’s the ‘Las Noches IX’ part of your name mean? Are you simply the ninth Arrancar to take that name, or something else?" chimed in the Kidou Captain. There were only a few people that knew the true reason for the number at the end of his name, and Zeruel certainly did not intend for Taien to be one of those people.
“Simply put, my father shared the same name as me, and his father before him, and his father before him... The name Zeruel has been passed down in the Moreno family for generations!” explained the arrancar to Taien. He didn’t care if the shinigami knew it was a lie or not. If the shinigami pursued further answers he’d simply shrug and brush off any further investigation. “And might I ask, what are you doing here... Hadohou, Taien?” asked the Kuchiki to the newcomer. “Oya oya! I just thought I should properly introduce myself to you Kuchiki-San. After all, Captains Meetings aren't always the best places to introduce oneself in,” replied Taien. It appeared to Zeruel that these two comrades were meeting for the first time and it seemed that Kansei wasn’t too thrilled about him being here either. Taien clearly had the edge over both of them in terms of pure, raw reiatsu strength, but it didn’t seem to bother Zeruel. This was an arrancar who was designed to overcome opponents leagues above him and take an unbelievable amount of punishment.
Zeruel began laughing as the two shinigami spoke to one another. It was eerie and almost maniacal and the arrancar’s reiatsu flared with each chuckle. “Kekekekekekeke... Well you’ve both been quite a treat, but it’s time for me to retire. I wouldn’t want to be late for my daily 'butcher all the humans' ritual...” said the arrancar with clear sarcasm as he turned away from the soul reapers. He was poking fun at the shinigami’s belief that all arrancar were just out to kill humans and eat their souls when, in fact, most wanted nothing to do with the souls of the living.
