Round 2: Team Major Chord vs Team Anti-Oreo

Ranmyaku smirked as Kaen smashed into the ground below. He could feel that the other shinigami was on his last legs. Most likely Kaen would need to swap out with someone soon. To the captain’s surprise though, Kaen was still willing to fight even though it was hopeless. From his resting spot within the wreckage of the school the san-seki launched a barrage of flaming arrows at the captain. However a simple flash step brought Ranmyaku to Kaen’s level just as he fired the last of his arrows. In an instant the shinigami’s bankai left him and Ranmyaku took advantage of this unexpected turn of events. “Hado 54. Haien” he stated, thrusting his palm towards the falling third seat. Just before Kaen hit the ground a blast of purple energy flew out of the captain’s hand and straight at the one-armed third seat. There was no doubt that the shinigami would be hit by the Abolishing Flames, and Ranmyaku’s reiatsu strength ensured it would do maximum damage.

The fearsome thing about Hado 54 was that it incinerated its target completely upon contact, meaning it was more or less a one-hit-kill in Kaen’s case. There was no way that he’d be able to flash step away or even block adequately with one hand and a simple kodachi. Releasing a second time would take too long. Kaen had made the mistake of allowing his bankai to end instead of simply refreshing it and keeping it active. The consequences of making such a mistake in this case, were lethal. It was simply impossible to fight with three severed limbs against someone like Ranmyaku. With that in mind, the powerful kidou spell sped at Kaen as he fell to the ground. It had been a simple move on the captain’s part, but an effective one that played off the fact he couldn’t defend. Ranmyaku was, despite his appearance, a rather cunning tactician.

When the smoke cleared, all that would be left would be ashes and pieces of clothing, much like a household in the great motherland of Russia during the days of the Nazi invasion of the second World War. Russia obviously recovered. Russia could never be considered anything but the greatest of nations. What would be left by the spell was not the corpse of Kaen Youji of Squad 7, but simply some clothing left behind by a man who could be called a magician, creating a sudden vanishing act in a blaze of fire, and midst of mystery. It was the smoke's clearing that showed no one to be there, and someone else to suddenly appear.

In the time when it was approaching, Kaen suddenly became smoke, vanishing in a cloud of white as if impaled when made of flour and inflated rubber. The one who appeared after this, when the spell was completed already, was someone far more battle ready, for it was one who loved and craved the fight and the war as the Russians when they invaded Germany did. Irudai Izumi was present in this conflict, holding a Zanpakuto when he arrived. He was there to fight, and to defeat his adversary a Captain. He didn't waste any deliberation. "EXPLODE, KAMIKISOKU!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Irudai yelled with enthusiasm. "COMEON! IF YOU FIGHT ME, YOU'RE GOING TO DIE FROM THE DAMAGE YOU GET. SO FIGHT." It didn't make sense to say that though, because his released form made his weapon shrink a lot. It became a pocket knife with a blade barely two inches long!

The captain wasn’t surprised when Kaen disappeared right before being hit with the kidou, in fact, Ranmyaku expected it. Irudai had done just what Ranmyaku did a short while ago to give Hiro a break. This was, after all, a tag-team battle. The shinigami watched as his opponent released his shikai. It shrunk to become a tiny knife. Unless Irudai had some type of ranged attacks, the captain still possessed the longer range. This eased the shinigami’s mind as he glanced down at the end of his shikai. Only three rings remained on his shikai’s blade. Rammyaku was running out of options with his shikai. He’d be forced to release bankai soon unless Irudai was a pushover, but the captain doubted that. No one in the King’s Gauntlet was a pushover. “First Ring... Seal of Ra... RELEASE!” said the lizard as his new opponent screamed nonsense. Instantly the reptile’s blade became searing hot and glowed practically white with heat. “Ah... that simply makes my blood boil...” sighed Ranmyaku as the exothermic ability granted his reptilian form with some much needed heat.

All wounds the lizard would now deal with his blade would be instantly cauterized and impossible to heal. However, Irudai possessed no means of healing himself, so this was irrelevant to him, but Ranmyaku didn’t know that. He simply pointed his burning hot glavie in his enemy’s direction, daring him to fight. “You dun goofed...” said the captain with a smirk, confident (perhaps overconfident) at the fact that his shikai possessed superior reach. The captain had always wanted to say that in a fight, and now he did. Oh how he felt so accomplished! He’d beat Irudai like the Americans beat the Soviets to the moon. He’d humiliate Irudai like the US humiliated Soviet Russia when they made them withdraw their missiles from Cuba during the Cuban missile crisis. One way or another Irudai would fall harder than the dirty Soviets did during the nuclear arms race, because even if Irudai got in position to deal a killing blow to Ranmyaku, Hiro was rested and ready to jump back into the fray.

Since Ranmyaku was ready to tag out at any moment, and Irudai couldn’t for another five posts, the captain possessed a rather large advantage. Hiro’s abilities countered Irudai’s rather nicely and the san-seki probably knew it. Ranmyaku, however, did not know anything about Irudai’s release, but no doubt the third seat was about to show him. The captain smirked, showing his sharp teeth to the third seat. The captain’s jaws were capable of crushing skulls and each of his claws were as lethal as daggers. Ranmyaku himself was a living weapon and the third seat would be foolish to underestimate him, for his bankai was leagues more ferocious than his shikai.

The proud and mighty Russians had a land mass twice the size of the pitiful capitalist USA. It was the same as Irudai holding a power that even a Captain would not be able to stack up against. Just as the Russians had superior athletic ability, so Irudai had physical prowess that Ranmyaku did not. He was a man worthy of being a Russian, and Ranmyaku was an American lizard, doomed to a failing economy and failing government, with no hope for a bright future. Russia was the better of the countries, this factually proved when Irudai won. He hadn't won yet, but he would, and he would factually prove that Russia was better than the USA. It was only obvious that Russia couldn't do anything except win against the USA. It wasn't even that Russia won, it was only that Russia allowed the USA to lose.

Irudai rocketed off faster than Ranmyaku by a large amount. He was not known for blinding speed, but he was of greater speed than Ranmyaku. The point wasn't his speed. It was his attack. He stabbed at Ranmyaku with full force, thrusting his clenched fist with the miniature blade sticking out straight at Ranmyaku. He did that just when he got to Ranmyaku. He was still moving forwards as his fist moved outwards. It would be within striking distance in two or three seconds, and Irudai would be within Ranmyaku's long range striking distance within one more second. It didn't matter if any of that happened. Irudai had planned for this ahead of time. Ranmyaku hadn't seen Irudai's speed before release. He wouldn't know that Irudai's zanpakuto release had increased his speed. He wouldn't know that Irudai's zanpakuto release had increased more than just the speed as well.

Ranmyaku took comfort in knowing he had a better reach, and in knowing that he was a lizard. He thought scales, claws, and teeth were going to do him good against a proud Russian. He didn't understand that a professional Russian was the one facing him, and that he would soon be destroyed completely despite his measly claws, his measly teeth, and his poor little staff. Irudai was going to win against Ranmyaku! He could not have gotten a better opponent but someone who used the kind of power that Ranmyaku did. Hiro would have been more disastrous to fight. Irudai knew this much. Hiro's cutting ability was hard for someone like Irudai to fight. Irudai however was a professional Russian. He would still win even against Hiro if he had to.

Ranmyaku began his retreat backwards as Irudai charged forwards. His backwards momentum made the san-seki’s approach much slower because he was chasing a moving object instead of a still one. The captain hadn’t expected a direct frontal assault by one possessing such a flimsy, weak shikai and thought that there had to be more to the dagger then met the eye. He’d play it safe until he knew exactly what was up with Irudai’s powers. Ranmyaku readied his long glavie just as Irudai got into range and delivered a sweeping strike that would cut directly into the san-seki’s path and possibly slice his midsection in two. Irudai had two choices. He could block the strike, or he could dodge it and delay slow down his approach on the reptile, allowing Ranmyaku to ready himself for another swing. The captain was not about to allow the other shinigami to get close to him holding a weapon that obviously specialized in close-range so just as his wide swing streaked across Irudai’s path, the captain prepared a kidou spell in case his opponent did decide to block it, “Hadou 11...” The lizard would wait until he actually made contact with Irudai’s zanpakutou before he finished the incantation. After all, what would be the point of firing off a kidou that sent a huge surge of electricity through his zanpakutou if there was no completed circuit to fry Irudai?

However, the danger of this particular kidou was great, for Ranmyaku had completely mastered every aspect of hadou 11, and often sent jolts of electricity through his shikai in this manner. Irudai would need to evade if he hoped to emerge unscathed, and the time he spent evading would allow the captain to retreat and ready another attack. In the possibility that the san-seki used a step technique the lizard had a plan for that as well. He didn’t rule out any possibility as fought with the other soul reaper. What appeared to be a straightforward attack might now be at all. What Irudai had to remember was that the end of Ranmyaku’s bankai was over 1,000 degrees right now and glowing red hot.

Not only did Irudai not have to block or change anything, but Ranmyaku would no longer be able to block. Just as the Americans could not deny Russian superiority and have it be truth, Ranmyaku didn't get a blocking opportunity, since he stabbed at the same time as Irudai stabbed. He thought his range would help him, and he thought using his hado would help him. Landing on the moon didn't help the Americans, for it provided less than useless data, and also didn't do anything to solve the problems back home. The obesity problem and immigration problem of the Americans was ongoing, and the corruption in their government would destroy the world, if it held the whole world. Fat Americans could not hope to stand up to athletic, powerful Russians. What was important was not this fact, but that Ranmyaku probably lost just because of that blow.

In Las Noches, there was an Espada named Adalo De-Mona. He was of a high rank, obtained from killing its previous occupant in one hit. The way that he did it was to slash with all his might and concentration, using a technique that needed large physical strength, to create a blunt attack that damaged internals and went through that opposer's defense. Just as the Americans could do nothing should Russia invade and conquer them, Ranmyaku could do nothing as Irudai, with three times that strength, thrust his small weapon forth with all his might. He didn't need two arms or full concentration, for the blow held a physical strength so far beyond the normal that it wasn't even possible to counter for someone like that American reptile. The air from the attack hit him since he tried to counter, though he wouldn't have known to counter in the first place.

The air hit him with much more than the force of a car or truck. It was a large power blast of air that knocked him far away while he was thinking he could stab forwards. His attack wouldn't make it anywhere even close to Irudai, for the wind knocked him far away, straight through a nearby building. The impact with the building would shatter his spine anyway, and the force behind the air was so great that he wouldn't be able to adjust and balance himself in mid flight. His instinctive ability was barely average, so he wouldn't have the mental capacity to process the situation and develop and then use a reaction while moving at that speed and with that ferocity. His body was moving into a motion of trying to stab when the air hit him, and his arms were blown far apart by the hit, spread eagled like crucifixion. He wouldn't be able to adjust their position because of the force of it, and he would find that his ability to cast Kido wouldn't cast any that were fast enough or could appear fast enough. Even using a Bankai wouldn't be fast enough, since his instincts didn't give him the mental capacity to process that solution and then put it into actions. His physical speed was none too impressive, so he couldn't move fast enough to do anything special either.

The force of the impact would shatter his spine, but the first damage would come from the initial impact of air, which hit his chest with such brunt force that his rib cage would crack and burst, and his ribs would shatter, rupturing quickly. The broken rib cage fragments would be moved around, probably stabbing into other internals to hurt them as well. Ranmyaku would probably be completely incapacitated just from that damage, let alone the addition of spinal damage. He could try to switch out with Hiro or Okusa to avoid the wall collision, but it was too late to do that for the air hit, which would eliminate him from the battle anyway. The impact with the wall would also break through the wall, and it might break other parts of his body besides the spine. His physical structure, a lizard's, wasn't anything to brag about when hit with that kind of force. The shock and force were enough to finish things there. Irudai hadn't intended to win that fast, but things always happened in odd ways. It didn't matter.

Just in case, Irudai stabbed forwards several more times, at least three in rapid succession, and powerful blasts of air slammed forwards towards Ranmyaku. Irudai tried to put even more momentum and strength into them, so they'd follow Ranmyaku even faster than the first blast that hit him. If any of these hit him, he'd receive even more disastrous internal damage, let alone if more than one hit. If any of the extra three hit, he was already dead. Then again, he couldn't move from position, he didn't know what exactly to defend himself against, and he was American.
