Kaen nodded, noting the more serious turn their conversation was beginning to take. "Oh? By your knowledge alone I'd have guessed that. Though that really doesn't answer my question." He replied simply, and stood up, brushing his pant leg to remove some of the dirt that had accumulated there from the fight. Kaen didn't miss the lone tear though, and he raised an eyebrow in moderate interest. "Seems it's an unpleasant memory, huh? Or at least related to one." He acknowledged in a quiet voice.
He wasn't sure if Rosalie was going to reply or not, but he figured he may as well give her the chance to. A human's knowledge of a shinigami was not a normal thing, and Kaen figured that he would be better off knowing this girl's story. Humans with a spiritual sense like she had weren't common afterall.
She glanced up, her eyes fiery. Yes I realize that, ok?! she snapped, set off by something. Suddenly, she burst out into tears. It ... it all happened after my brother was murdered. I lived with my fiance after that b-b-but he was killed as well. By a hollow. So I went after it. B-but I was too weak to handle. So, a Soul Reaper rescued me. And told me everything. About Hueco Mundo, the Soul Society, Soul Reapers, EVERYTHING! And then ... he left, after I was all better.
She stood up and stretched. Are you hungry? I could use something to eat. She limped off in the direction of town.
Kaen wasn't surprised by Rosalie's sudden outburst, nor did he show any signs of irritation or shock at it. It was natural that she'd lash out in such a vulnerable moment. She did not appear to be the kind of girl that liked to be seen in such moments. But she agreed to tell him anyways, describing a hollow attack on her fiance, killing him. Kaen frowned at the thought. Even shinigami couldn't be everywhere. They couldn't possibly deal with every single hollow attack before it happened. Still. It was unfortunate that these things had to happen. Unfortunate? No. They were tragic, really.
Rosalie appeared to be trying to hide away the information she had just revealed, noting the quickness of her approach to a separate subject. Kaen decided to let the matter lie. She'd told him enough. The shinigami watched her rise, and smiled a little when she asked her question. "Me? No, I'm quite fine." He reached into his pocket and withdrew the chocolate bar, still wrapped tightly in its... well.... its wrapper. Kaen broke off a large piece and offered it to Rosalie.
Rosalie glanced back, her features betraying surprise. Oh. Well, that is certainly a sur- is that chocolate? Her eyes went from guarded to brilliantly sparkling and staring at the chocolate. Her mouth was watering spectacular. She slowly stretched one hand out and took the offered piece, basking in its scent. Then, she put it in her mouth, letting the flavor melt through her being. Her eyes widened. She felt the surge of sugar surge through her body at warp speed. She let out a shout of joy. Grabbing two knives from her belt, she jumped high in the air, a good ten feet. Stabbing a knife deep into a branch, she swung upward. Landing on an even higher branch, she proceeded her monkey-esque climb up to the top of the towering pine.
Kaen saw Rosalie apparently undergo a tremendous transformation at the offering of chocolate, snatching it up and apparently eating it with relish. Wow! She seemed to like chocolate more than Kaen! And Kaen was someone who LOVED chocolate (admittedly, this largely came out of not being able to have it very often). But just... wow. Rosalie underwent a complete transformation that Kaen watched while taking a bite himself. He couldn't help smiling a bit at her antics when she swung herself up into the tree, his eyes following her movements.
"I take it you enjoy chocolate then." He stated practically redundantly, leaning against a different tree to watch Rosalie's progress for when (and if) she intended to land on the ground.
UH YA! WHO DOESN'T?!?!?!?!?! Rosalie was, quite frankly, as jacked up as a squirrel on speed. She was close to actually literally twitching. Due to the influence of the crack - excuse me, chocolate - she was mentally debating on whether or not to jump. Gravity and ... well, basically all the laws of physics - meant nothing to her when she was like this. Of course, they mean something to her physical body ... just not her current emotional state. It wasn't a long debate. Rosalie gathered her legs underneath her like she jumping off a spring board. She jumped.
Gathering her body underneath her, she aligned herself vertically in a perfect swan dive. Quickly jetting towards the ground, she wore a wicked smile at her face; she was purely exhilarated. About ten feet above the ground, she flipped so that her feet were facing the ground. She hit the ground ... hard. A resounding explosion sounded around the park and a dust cloud floated upwards. A few moments later, the dust cloud. Where there was previously a couple of trees and a park bench, there was now only a smoking cradle and a rather tired, and purple, female there. She grinned happily.Wiickeed .... She crawled out of the crater and shook her head like a rather water-logged dog. She walked over to where Kaen was.
Care to give it a try? She grinned excitedly and looked upwards to the top of three - of course, it was shorter by about ten feet. But to make up for that, it was covered with sharp, spiny bark; painful to climb up, even more painful if you miss. She looked at him. Bet you can't do it, huh? You soul reapers too wimpy, eh? Don't want to get your hands dirty, right? Or won't your Central 46 not let you? She raised on eyebrow condescending. She wanted him to jump. Really bad, for some reason. If he could look deep within her, past the layers of physical strength and speed, the loss and despair, he would find something ... something. Like, she had to know. Know what? She doesn't even know. She just knows that, if this man can do it, she would know.

Kaen's eyes followed Rosalie almost lazily as she leapt from branch to branch. Yep. She was definately a lively one. Kaen didn't even blink when she jumped off the tree, causing a crater in the ground. "Oh my." He said as though this were the most ordinary thing in the world. "How unfortunate. And it was such a beautiful spot." He joked lightly, with a smirk.
When Rose challenged him to do it Kaen regrettably shook his head. "I would, but I'm afraid in my current body there's no way I could physically handle it." He admitted to her. "Now, if I was in my true form, yeah I can and would, but I'm afraid this false body restricts me a bit too much to try it." He said. Normally Kaen would totally have done it in a heartbeat, but he was still getting over how hyper Rose was, even though he wasn't showing it.

Some paragraphs were short, so I opted into lumping a few together. Counted a solid 40 after, so that'll be 200 TP for Kaen! Seeing as Rosalie is no longer on site, no other rewards will be awarded.
