OOC: If he's a Rogue, you're going to have to look up in Section 5 what their powers do. You're not using the Bakkoto correctly.
IC:
The dragon and Byakurai both missed dead on. They plunged into the beasts, which appeared to take damage, but simply regenerated. And Enma remained unharmed. What the man obviously hadn't realized was the property of the purple flame. Distortion and illusion. Enma had basically used an illusion to mask himself with the huge bush of beasts, and distortion to make himself originally appear somewhere else. He'd never been in the original spot to be aimed at in the first place. He'd been a little ways off. But with the beastly cover, Enma had easily been able to move way elsewhere, so that firing off into anywhere near where he'd been was useless. The Rogue Shinigami underestimated the Captain. Granted, Enma was impressed that someone knew even this much about him. Some in the Soul Society doubted his existence. He'd never really met any of the other Captains, either. He sent his Vice Captain to the meetings.
But, honestly, if a Rogue was a Rogue in the first place, they couldn't beat him. For someone to be that strong, they'd have to have a true, powerful pride, a will and indomitable feature. Only a Captain would have that. Captains, Espada, Envainar. People like that, with that kind of power. This guy was nothing but a random Rogue. He definitely wasn't going to be strong enough to take out Enma. That much was obvious. Enma knew his pride. He wasn't proud and thus defended the Seireitei. Because of what his friends had taught him, because of what he'd gained from them, and the home the Captain Commander had given him here, the new comrades, Enma protected the Seireitei. Of his own grit and strength, Enma protected all of Soul Society. Therefore I am proud. You cannot break my will or body, user of the Bakkoto. But I will destroy both of yours.
"Change." his flame turned gold, and the beasts disappeared along with the distortion. Before they faded, the flame flickered around fifteen times at a great speed. Enma moved around to maintain cover in the beasts that still hadn't faded. But he could see his enemy already, and aim at him. And when the beasts fully faded, a circle of gold was already in front of Enma's staff. "Vanish in the fire." Enma said, a huge golden beam erupting outwards. It was large, strong. But, Enma had changed the design of the beam upon casting. It moved ridiculously fast at normal speed anyway, but it was zig zagging. There was no way to predict its path and dodge accordingly. It was too mind boggling with that fast zig zag. All that was left was to block. To block Enma's golden beam of reiatsu. It was coming. And Enma was going to kill this Rogue for daring to betray. For daring to step foot on the land that he had betrayed.
