Wrapping his arms around a nearby lamp post, Shinzu pulled himself up as his wound began to spurt blood. Though the gash had not been very deep, it had cut several veins; hence the volume of blood as the Bount struggled onto his feet. Pools of blood now scattered the area though their source was not him but rather the captain’s zanpakutou, making it obvious enough that they should be avoided at all cost. “It’s going to be a long shot…” He whispered whilst starring at one of the many crimson puddles.
Leaning against the lamp post to keep his balance, Shinzu withstood the brunt of the enemies attack as he blocked the strike with his knife. His hand quivering under the strain, the Bount leapt back a slight distance using his uninjured leg before his weapon was broken down entirely due to the acidic blood. With it still retaining more than enough cutting power, he flung it forwards, aiming towards the captain’s right hip in hopes of a direct hit being more than enough to help hinder his foes movements.
With the thrown projectile hopefully a more than sufficient distraction, Shinzu bore with the pain as he limped toward the distance or more specifically, one of his earlier thrown knives. Being forced to conserve his own reiatsu, it only made sense to reuse what tools were readily available. Assuming he would not be attacked during the course of this journey, the Bount prepared to grab the pale blue knife lying on the concrete before crouching down onto his knees in order to give his leg a much needed break.

The Shinigami Captain looked at the Bount, the difference in each other's power was too great. The male Shinigami kept on walking towards the fleeing Bount. He was having fun chasing his prey down, it was amusing to see the Bount strugglign to survive. Raito looked at this as entertainment and as long as he didn't kill the Bount he could see what the Bount was capable of doing. Raito watched the struggling Bount as he got up and readied himself to defend or attack. He kicked up some blood as he started to go into a slow sprint towards Shinzu.
While he was running, the Captain did not expect a knife to be thrown. He felt a sting in his hip and looked down to see a small cut on the side. It had only grazed him slightly as he ran towards Shinzu. Shinzu's attacks were too weak with his low reiatsu, against Raito's reiatsu which wasn't even halfway to being depleted. "You are one sneaky kid," he complimented, before using a Flash Step to appear behind the Bount. Raito attempted to strike at Shinzu's back, but not fatally. Only able to wound him slightly and possibly incapacitating him from further battle. Raito was pushing Shinzu to his limits and wanted to see what he had next.

Things were becoming bleak, however running away at this point was not an option the Bount would take willingly. At the very least he had managed to obtain the knife, however in his moment of distraction he had failed to prepare against his foes sudden arrival. Flailing his left arm backward, Shinzu had blocked the captains slash though at the cost of gravely injuring his arm. Pushing himself onto his feet, the young man jumped backward in an attempt to gain distance.
The injury on his leg was starting to heal, however these fast and sudden movements were only intensifying the pain and causing the wound to further rip open. Inspecting the damage done to his arm, he groaned out in pain before pressing the wound against his chest as to prevent a massive loss of blood. With his eyes gleaming in crimson, the Bount once again revealed his vampiric nature by leeching off some of the surrounding reiatsu.
Weary of his foes ability, Shinzu threw the knife toward his left at a nearby fire hydrant. Piercing through the red metal, the hydrant began to spew mass amounts of water which rained down on the two foes in a flurry of droplets. Zanpakutou work in mysterious ways, that much he knew. It wasn’t guaranteed if the water would neutralize his foes acidic ability and turn it into a harmless liquid, but at the very least the water served to wash away most of the blood on the floor as it began to spew into several drainage holes on the street. “That takes care of that.” Shinzu muttered proudly. Clasping his handy together, a array of light gather and connected to form a large sword, much like before. It was obvious that his knives were doing little damage and so even if it meant using up all his reiatsu, it goes without saying that he would have to resort to a much more powerful weapon to stand a chance against the captain. Giving off a much harsher noise than before, the blade began to pick up speed as the droplets of water hitting it instantly vaporized into steam. Trying his best not to slouch over, the Bount stabbed his sword into the ground to support himself as he began to pant and breathe heavily. “What are you waiting for shinigami? Hurry up and attack me!”
