In a single, brutal series of movements, Zouma maneuvered around all of Wang's attacks, using his own martial arts skills to break one of Wang's arms, kick him in the chest and stomach (twice each), kick AND punch him in the face, elbow his throat, and hurl him to the ground. Zouma stomped on his back. He'd done all this while dodging moves at least four times his speed. Wang had been faster. Zouma had been better. He looked down at the Kuchiki. "Is this the best from a Kuchiki Man?" he asked. "Pathetic. I thought that the House of Kuchiki would have more dignity and strength than you've displayed." He drew out his sword, preparing to carve Wang's head cleanly from his body. Generally, it should be taken as a sign that Zanken, Hara, and Manabu were supposed to get out of the area, and go to where Wang had instructed, so that they could get whatever treasure lay there.
Whatever lay there, it must be worth it, since Wang had been willing to let them get away by sacrificing his own life. It was obviously something that could be done without him, and which he had simply been there to be a guide for. However, the emotions of the Shinigami might get the better of them. They were presented with two options. Save Wang, or leave him to go get the treasure.

Zanken had taken a peak over the rock he was hiding behind and saw something horrible. He quickly went back down to his position beside Manabu and quickly said in a hushed voice, "Freaking- we have to go. Now. Wang's Reitsu should cover our own while we get out of here, theres nothing we can do to save him. Wang knew what he was doing. He gave us the directions to get to the treasure. We can not win against Zouma Sanketsu, if we try to engage him now, we're all dead." Zanken said in a grave tone. They needed to move, fast! Shunpo was the only way to get away fast enough, Wang's Reitsu would hide their own while they escaped, plus they were already focusing on hiding their own Reitsu, meaning it was that much harder to sense. They needed to get to this Ninth Street Wang had mentioned. Fast. Zanken grabbed Manabu again and quickly Shunpoed away as fast as he could, all the while searching for Ninth Street. If the treasure was as strong as it was supposed to be, it should emmit a strong Reitsu.
Remaining Reitsu: 900/1700 (-250 Reitsu for 5 Shunpo)
"Is that what comradeship is to you?" A voice asked as a hand reached out of a wall, grabbing Zanken by the throat as he moved. This stopped him at his fifth Shunpo, holding him there. Someone extended out of the wall. It was some kind of humanoid figure, a man perhaps, made of what appeared to be black tar. A slimy feeling, cold, could be felt along Zanken's neck as whatever it was reached out of the wall. The tar creature suddenly popped, and Zanken and Manabu (since Manabu was on Zanken's back) were dropped onto the ground. From out of nowhere, he stepped. Black tar fell to the ground. With brown, spiky hair, brown eyes, a blue sleeveless shirt, and black jeans, a figure stepped out. He was muscular, appearing to be around 18. A sword was visible, sheathed on his back as he looked at Zanken, Manabu, and Hara when Hara got there. The tar creature appeared to have been some sort of new device, probably developed at Mr. Hat & Clogs.
But, what was shocking was the person standing before Zanken, Manabu, and Hara. He had made it clear that he wasn't even participating in this war, and yet, he was here now. Was he here to talk? Possibly, since his sword wasn't even drawn. The Hero of the War with Azeru Cho. Arashi Manako had arrived. He looked rather impressive, and pretty strong too. He wasn't run of the mill. But, why was he here? "Or is it just that things have changed in the last 40 years?"

Manabu got up and struck himself in order to renew his flows to normal. He finally saw clearly the man before them. He froze with his mouth wide open. His mind was still working quickly and opened the history book to the page with Arashi Manako on it. Yep, that was he. Manabu quickly checked a few other sources to confirm. Yep.
Manabu began explaining the situation and the reasons for leaving (among which were the obvious inability to help and a direct order from Wang Kuchiki) at the same time as saying what an honor it was to meet him and asking any question he could think of. Regardless of which thread of speech actually made it down the cortex and to the mouth, no words came out due to a lack of air in Manabu's lungs. Manabu was unaware of this.
This young, unseated officer of the Gotei 13 who was several weeks out of the Academy was now face to face with possibly the most powerful person in this dimension moments after witnessing a nightmare tear apart a legend just meters away. Things like supervising voluntary bodily functions (e.g. breathing) were starting to fall by the wayside, and his brain decided he needed some vagal secretions to deal with it all. Manabu's face turned white before it hit the ground.

Arashi took a look at Manabu, staring at him blankly. Then, he bent over the academy student, slipping a large white pill into his mouth. It went down the throat without Manabu swallowing, and sent jolts of electricity-or something that felt like it-through his body. This immediately jerked him back to consciousness, allowing Arashi to speak to all three of them. He looked at Manabu. "You've got the most worth here. No need to feel overwhelmed." he said. "You're the new generation. The Captain and Vice Captain here are all out of chances. You've got the potential they've used up."
He turned from them, waving with a single motion for them to follow. "Come on." he said. "Follow me once I've immobilized Zouma." A blade was suddenly clashed against another blade, sparks flying out. Arashi's blade was held in one hand, and it was pressed against Zouma's. How had Zouma gotten there so quickly? Wang's reiatsu had disappeared, signifying his death. However, now someone even stronger was here. "Are you betraying me, Arashi?" Zouma asked. Arashi stared at Zouma's eyes. "No. Just reconnecting your pieces." Zouma's eyes widened seemingly. He continued pressing his blade against Arashi's.
"I won't let that happen." he said. Arashi smiled confidently. "You don't have a choice. Jikyou." His blade glowed, elongating, growing. Within seconds, it was a large buster sword with some kind of skull hilt. Arashi gripped his blade in one hand, and forced Zouma back. He spun his blade as soon as that happened. "Daitenbura." A large beam of white reiatsu flew out of his blade when the spin completed, exploding towards Zouma, who slashed into it. An enormous explosion occurred, and Arashi's blade returned to normal as he put it on his back. "We've got a 30 second head start." Arashi said. "Come on." He disappeared, moving away. After a while, he got to what appeared to be a sewer, opening it, and dropping in. The others were to get in too. Once everyone was in, he looked at them. "So, what strategy has Seireitei developed to face Zouma?"
Post by Xaifer Regneis on Dec 22, 2010 22:18:40 GMT -5
"Right, so far the Seireitei has been searching for the seven other Blades of Abborence, I assume you know what those are. So far we have been able to locate and recover one of the seven other blades, Kodaiyiseki, the Blade of Heaven. Actually im the current owner of that blade. It took a while to get, we went to Venus, then fought the spirit, lost my right arm (This ones a fake), had it get stolen by that Sasori guy, went back to the Seireitei, got surgery for this arm, mounted a mission to retrieve the blade from the Vizard Mansion, met numerous Vizards along the way, ran into Sayu at the end, fought her for a bit, and then finally got out." Zanken finished. Zanken looked at Arashi and then continued to say, "Then a while ago, Captain Wang said he had a way to help us defeat the other Vizards, and he told us were to go to find it. Apperently theres a great treasure or something in the deepest parts of the labyrinth on Ninth Street. Thats part of the reason why I brought Manabu here, after all, you said it yourself. The next generation will have all the power we could not obtain. Something like this should be able to help." Zanken finished.
Zanken looked around the sewer. Well, it was a sewer, not much else about it than that. Zanken looked back at Arashi and asked, "Theres something thats been bothering me. Earlier you said that you were "Recconecting Zouma's pieces". What did you mean by that?" Zanken asked Arashi.
"That's it, huh? You guys are using some dangerous stuff." Arashi looked around, making sure they were alone. "I can escort you guys to the treasure, but that's it. You're on your own from there. I have my own stuff to do." He started walking, and that was when Zanken asked his question. Arashi remained silent about it for a moment, before answering. "It's nothing. Just a figure of speech." Arashi decided to say at last. Well, whether or not he was telling the truth, it was best to drop the subject at that moment. Where they were going, they'd need Arashi's guidance for a bit. The last thing to do was question him too much, or piss him off. He certainly had matured from what reports had detailed him as back when he'd defeated Azeru Cho. Around that time, he'd physically been around 15 or 16 anyway. But, despite everything, he seemed to be fine.
As they got to another exit, Arashi climbed up the ladder, opened up the man hole. It led to an area filled with houses. One of these houses had white paint, and the mailbox said "Wang." Oh. Go into his house, find something in one of the rooms. Okay then. "This is as far as we go together." Arashi said. Without even saying anything else, he was gone in the blink of an eye.

"Arigato gozaimasu, Manako-shi." Manabu imagined there was a chance he'd hear that, but it didn't matter anyway. It was proper to thank this man.
Manabu was mostly back in working order and automatically headed toward the house. He did not know whether Wang Kuchiki was a paranoid man, but he certainly didn't seem that way. However, if there were anything valuable in this house, he must have protected somehow.
"There mustn't be any traps too far from the actual house or an innocent person might get hurt. We can probably assume that all the way up to the door is safe for the sake of anyone who might come to visit. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if there were no traps triggered by any normal robbery activity. Kuchiki-sama did not seem like a man who would cause harm to normal humans. Whatever we're looking for will be difficult to find or well protected."
The door opened up easily enough, after the doorbell rang of course. No one was there, but it opened. So, entering the house was easy enough too. No traps. Nothing. Odd. After a quick tour of the rooms, still nothing, until one such room, a large dojo type room, became covered in metal walls, actually trapping everyone inside of it. A cage formed around Hara (since he's been so inactive lately), and two wooden dummies (holding metal katanas) popped out of the ground. They both had meters on their chests. This appeared to not be a trap, but a training exercise. One dummy had the words "Level 6" on its chest in black paint. This one rushed at Zanken, slashing with a right handed, single hand slash. The second one slashed at Manabu as it ran towards him. On that one, in black paint, the words "Level 2" were visible. Brock's dummy adversary was green, Zanken's was blue. A red dummy adversary was there as well, arms folded. It was standing, watching apparently. Its level wasn't yet clear. Maybe it was a boss adversary for after the first two were defeated.
Green Dummies - Sword based dummies. These dummies use swords, traditionally katana. Each level is almost like another level in Kendo. It goes up to Level 16, which would be a Kendo 6 Dan. The current green dummy, Level 2, is only 8 kyu or something.
Blue Dummies - Versatile dummies. They use sorts and Kido both. Same sword level system as Green dummies. They can use any Kido up to their level multiplied by ten. So, the current blue one can go up to 60's kido. Can only go up to level 9.
Yellow Dummies - Kido only dummies. For each level, they can use Kido up fifteen times in multiple. Can go up to level 10.
Purple Dummies - Weapon masters. They use anything weapon-wise, and at master levels per level. Go up to level 16.
Red Dummies - The strongest dummies, potentially. These read the mind of the strongest person in the room, and copy the strongest enemy that they have battled against, imitating that enemy's style and abilities. Only special abilities like Release won't be copied. This goes up to Level 16. The level shapes itself based on the level of the copied adversary.

"Thanks Arashi." Zanken said, waving as Arashi vanished off. Well. This was a surprise. The treasure was in Wang's own house? Curiouser and curiouser... Zanken listened to what Manabu had to say, went up to the door with him, and opened it. So far so good, no traps. Though there could easily be some sort of trap in another room. Then they went to look around. Zanken found the kitchen, den, and the living rooms before finding a door to what looked like a dojo. Zanken called for Manabu to come over and help check. When they both went in, the doors closed and training dummys popped up. Great. "Manabu! Assume that your opponent is much stronger than you, it IS a training dummy of Wang after all!" Zanken said to Manabu. Zanken drew his own Zanpakuto and quickly blocked the strike the blue dummy threw at him before extending a finger on his left hand and firing off a Byakurai point blank into its head.
Underestimation. Foolish. The dummy had proper hands and thumbs. With its blade, it twisted Zanken's blade against him, bringing its blade crossed into his, and pushing his and its into the way of the Byakurai before it could be fired. Finally, as it was fired, it reflected into the steel wall, staying there was it was stopped by the combo of the two blades. With that, the dummy punched Zanken in the stomach while his finger was still extended, and his blade still locked. It was pretty fast. It was just a regular punch, not to the solar plexus or anything like that. In this case, Zanken would just be sent back a few feet. At this point, it was his turn to launch the first attack, and get a retaliation from the dummy. It was pretty strong, and in all honesty, it was a shock that Wang had stuff like this. However, it only fought on par with Zanken. It was possible that the room scanned the level of the people in it before issuing dummies. That might be good. Or maybe these were warm up dummies.

"Curious." After the wave of extreme events that had bombarded Manabu in the last several minutes, he was a bit underwhelmed by the appearance of these dummies. He wasn't about to let his emotions betray him though. He drew his katana with his right hand and his tanto with his left, blocking katana with katana while putting a slash in what would be the stomach of the dummy. It was not a complicated matter to dispose of an opponent of equal level who had a deficiency of weapons. Hopefully, this dummy was not a superior swordsman.
