When the dust settled, Fuuko was crouched, staring at Iroka as she softly panted. Her golden gaze was steely, and the kunai were gone. The second Iroka's wound spurted out more blood, the , it sucked into the knife, which began to glow, and then shattered, returning back to the main part that Fuuko was holding. Noww with one hand free, Fuuko was a butterfly sword in the other. It was about the length of a short sword, but it was fat like a butter knife and had one blade that gleamed in the sun, razor sharp and ready to drink. The whole sword was red and the guard looked like an open mouth, the blade, flat as it was, still resembled a fat tongue, desperately thirsty.

"Fuck you." Fuuko barked at Iroka. "This is what ya wanted, well, you got  it. If you don't like the taste, ye never should have stuck it in yer mouth!" Fuuko hissed. "But I don't think that's right either. No doctor or nurse needs to know that Bakudo. And it's a bit too much fer self defense, ain't it?" Fuuko started walking towards Iroka, standing up straight and marching at her like a golem, with a wicked grin on her face. 

"We're the same, sis. You're my blue oni, right? That still makes you a devil, don't it? Just because yer gentle, doesn't mean you don't wanna pull my heart out and take a bite, does it?" Fuuko asked. "You didn't ask  me. You demanded a fight. You want us to cut each other up, don'tcha?" Fuuko shot forward, her feet glowing with reiatsu for a moment before she appeared in front of Iroka and swung in a downward arc at the orangette. "ADMIT IT AND SHOW ME!"

The dust from Iroka's spell finally settled, revealing Fuuko in a crouch, the blonde Shinigami's expression hard. The carrot-top took note of the weapon in her hand; it was a wide-bladed chopping knife. The weapon was reminiscent of an open mouth with a tongue issuing out of it, said tongue being the blade of her zanpakutō. There was something in that weapon that evoked greed. Unfortunately for Iroka, she was almost certain that she would be unable to prevent herself from succumbing to the weapon's greed. This was going to be a fight of attrition, it seemed. On Iroka's part, of course. Fuuko had most of the cards, as far as attacks were concerned.

Still, Iroka was not bereft of tricks up her sleeve. "Manners, dear," she said in an almost motherly tone, in response to Fuuko's impertinence. "But wait, I don't really get what taste you're talking about. Did I somehow eat your food? If I did, I'm sorry, and I promise to cook you a meal after this is done. But you have a point, it's not right for a doctor to have such a kidō. I learned it because I felt absolutely useless on the battlefield. But I don't think it's much for self-defense. If my attack doesn't neutralize the opposition at once, it should make them afraid to attack again. Though I suspect if the enemy was such a one as yourself, my hopes would be in vain."

As Fuuko walked towards her, Iroka stood her ground, though she had initially felt like giving ground as the blonde approached. She had to show that she had a spine, had to prove herself to Fuuko. "Eating your heart would be icky," Iroka responded, "and the taste of raw meat is absolute trash. Have you tasted tartare before? Whoever came up with that nonsense needs to be chained to a fire hydrant and flogged for such a travesty. Though I admit you're right; despite my inclinations to be nice, I'm a wicked little thing." She looked sad.

"I can't cut anything; I lack the power to--" Iroka began to protest, before Fuuko appeared before her, swinging the wide-bladed knife at her. Iroka tried to dodge out of the way, but was too slow. Still, she was already making a response as she failed to evade the slash. The weapon sank into her left shoulder, even as Iroka extended a finger at Fuuko, nt bothering to stretch her hand, to make the move less obvious.

"Hadō #4: Byakurai!"

She'd thought about attempting something more devastating, but couldn't bring herself to do it. So she had gone for the low-level hadō. "I wanted a fight, not because I wanted us to cut each other up. It's pointless for me to want that. If I want to cut anyone up, it would be an enemy." She couldn't particularly think of anyone she wanted to cut up right now, though. "I-- I just wanted to be sure that I was worthy of the Fukutaichō seat. Because it won't mean anything if I can't defend those I care about." Her hands felt a bit cold. Seemed like anemia was setting in.

How to use technique: Speak the spell and point hand at the target.
Incantation and Effect: "Arise god of thunder! Awake mother of storms! Unleash the lightning on the sinners!" When the incantation is spoken, the Reiatsu Strength used to determine the power of Byakurai is increased by 10%. (i.e. 100 Reiatsu Strength is treated as 110.)

"Semantic bullshit!" Fuuko barked. "Club me to death, then!" Fuuko responded just as Iroka's finger pointed at her and began to crackle. She felt the bolt of lightning pierce through her own shoulder and her eyes widened as it shot out the other side. Fuuko screamed in pain and backed up and then continued to back up, clapping her free hand over her shoulder, even as her clothes smoked and the acrid smell of burned flesh filled the air.

"Hnnngh...."

Fuuko narrowed her eyes and stared at  Iroka while she began to dg her fingers into the wound that Iroka had made. "Smart..." Fuuko muttered. "Cauterizing the wound... Taking a hit to give a hit...." Fuuko lifted up Shukketsubuki. "Sorry, sis. Let  me patch up that booboo for ya." Fuuko said and whipped Shukketsubuki into the sky where it vanished from sight. Fuuko glanced up and then held out her hand. "Raining Blood." Shukketsunuki dropped into Fuuko's hand and she closed her fist around it. It appeared to be a a red bit of metal poking out both sides of her clenched fist. "You never did tell me much about Shugyoku Hirenaga. Obviously it heal usin some kinda spectral fish, but, what else does it do." She said as she started spining the metal around in one hand until she stopped and she was holding a different kind of butterfly knife. It was small and compact and folded in on itself, but Fuuko had the blade pointed at Iroka. 

"Shukketsubuki heals too." Fuuko said. That's when from the sky water would drip. A few drops at first as clouds seemed to appear out of nowhere. Then, it began to rain. Pour. And the water wasn't water. It was blood. "Not me, unfortunately. Of course it ain't that bitches style to help me." Iroka would notice the gash in her side beginning to heal. She would also feel the blood would feel heavy, like she was already soaked through the bone, like she was in quicksand. 

"I know there's a real demon inside of you, sis." Fuuko said. "More of a demon than I could ever  be, I think. But I doin['t think it's all that's there. That ain't the one I wanna see. I wanna see you. So, tell me what I have to do to pull it out of ya, or... I'll just start havin ta trial and error this shit." Fuuko then jammed the butterfly knife into the wound made by Iroka's byakurai. "Hnnnghhh!" She winded as she twisted the knife. "I..taii..." She grunted. And then spoke again. "River of blood. Hnnnghaah!" She could feel Shukketsubuki sharpen inside of her. When she yanked knife free a spurt off blood went with it and mixed with the blood raining from the sky. Only some of it, however, soaked into Shukketsubuki as the weapon began to glow again.

{Raining Blood}
-レイニングブラッド (Raining Blood): Fuuko hurls Shukkestusbuki in the air and it releases all but 1 point of its stored up blood and returns to its [First stage]. It begins to rain blood in a 50ft. Radius around Fuuko. The blood is infused with Reiatsu and heals, but also slows. Each post, 25 points of the released pool is spent. Anyone (except Fuuko) who is in the radius heals wounds by one step (Minor wounds disappear, small wounds close, moderate ones begin to heal and major wounds no longer become life threatening), but also has their speed reduced by 25 points as well, for as long as they are in the blood rain. The healing and speed reduction is cumulative.

The aura literally soaks clouds in blood and can be affected in the way clouds are. If Fuuko moves, the aura moves towards her, but at a clouds pace [Speed 300], unless 100 Reiatsu is spent to speed it up to catch up and/or follow Fuuko.

If the Cloud is affected by non-natural wind powers, Fuuko can resist it with OS and spending 100 Reiatsu. If there is natural wind, Fuuko can instead spend [100 Reiatsu] to keep the cloud in place. This ability can be used on a cloudless, sunny day. It is only affected by natural weather after it is used. The clouds are formed by using the ability if there are none.

Fuuko cannot reabsorb the blood rain, but she can spend her own Reiatsu to extend the blood rain by floating the Reiatsu shukketsubuki would put into her pool into the blood rain at a 2 for 1 ratio with a minimum of at least 50 Reiatsu needing to be spent to add 25 back into the blood rain.

The Speed reduction can be resisted with OS, but if the Speed reduction is resisted, so is the healing.

Alternatively, if she spends [100] Reiatsu per post, she can keep it up as an active ability.

Fuuko didn't seem too willing to accept Iroka's words, angrily asking her to club the blonde to death if she couldn't cut her. "That wouldn't do," she replied. "Sometimes, I think you're just mocking me, Oni-chan. How can puny little me club you to death. I don't even think I could wrestle my way out of a wet paper bag. And for all my lack of physical power, my zanpakutō deems it necessary to be a weapon I can barely use effectively." Or maybe there was something else Iroka was missing regarding her zanpakutō.

The carrot top was silent as she watched Fuuko scream in pain from her attack. But the blonde seemed to be injuring herself more, instead of trying to do something to mitigate the injury. "Uh, that's... disturbing," Iroka said in concern, as she stared at Fuuko. As her sworn sister praised her for making a gambit in order to land an attack of hers, Iroka perked up. "You think so? My combat style is ineffective, since I'm little more than a meat shield, but I have to be willing to take hits if I must deliver some of mine. I'm glad you feel my strategy is sound."

The blood rain was disconcerting. "Eww!" Iroka exclaimed, as she tried to move away from beneath the rain. But she felt like she was moving through glycerol. That would be problematic, if her speed was reduced while engaging Fuuko, even if the rain was healing her. Besides, it was a rather messy affair. "Could you um, like, find a more sanitary way to heal people?" the ginger asked, as she squirmed beneath the rain. "Though I'm very grateful that you're trying to heal me. You're really a nice person, you know?"

Fuuko's question about Shugyoku Hirenaga was met with a shrug. "Nothing impressive, asides healing. It makes shields. And that's all." It was clear from the tone of her voice that Iroka did not think too highly of her weapon's abilities. "At least, yours is versatile. Asides making cool weapons, it can heal, as well as allow you to throw projectiles and such." Still, Iroka was quite uncomfortable with the fact that she was moving too slowly. If Fuuko attacked, there would be much less chance to dodge or defend against it.

Iroka attempted to move faster, utilizing all her inner faculties to will herself to move. And she noticed that she began to move faster, but her wound healed slower. So, that was it. Better to be wounded but move faster than the other way round, she surmised. Besides, Iroka had no dearth of healing methods. Rejecting the slowness, as well as the healing that came with it, Iroka gave herself a bit of distance from Fuuko, though she wasn't entirely out of the rain. "I'm so sticky," she muttered, looking depressed. "I need a bath. I'm going to fall sick at this rate."

Then Fuuko stabbed herself in the wound Iroka's Byakurai had made. "Stop hurting yourself like that, Oni-chan," the carrot top complained, looking distressed. "Han'nyagake!" If Fuuko dodged the healing projectile, well, that was reiatsu wasted. But Iroka didn't want her to be bleeding all over the place like that. Yes, she had said she wished to fight Fuuko, but all the blood was a bit too excessive. "Please don't ask me how to get to see my mean side. I only get really angry with people I don't want to forgive. I-- I still want us to be friends after this, so let's not do that."

Technique Description and Effects: Iroka creates auras on the heads of her meteor hammer, firing any of them like a projectile. Their range is 100 meters in Shikai. The aura projectile takes the shape of a spectral koi fish, travels in a straight line, and flies at a speed equal to Iroka’s spiritual OS. On striking a target, it heals them of damage equivalent to how much Reiatsu she invested into the projectile. 50 Reiatsu will heal all minor injuries (scratches, minor lacerations, scrapes). 100 Reiatsu will heal up to two major lacerations, or moderate burn/corrosive damage.
In Bankai, the range of this technique is 250 meters, and it can target up to five different targets, the released aura transforming into five dragon heads which fly at any five targets of Iroka’s choice. These projectiles fly in curved trajectories, and they change direction to pursue their targets. They fly at a speed equal to Iroka’s OS. Bankai can heal according to Shikai Reiatsu costs, but as expected, it will heal a lot more, if more Reiatsu is used. 200 Reiatsu will heal a severed body extremity, like a hand or foot., or a single compound fracture. 400 Reiatsu will heal major injuries such as internal bleeding and organ failure. At its limit, 800 Reiatsu is strong enough to restore a full severed limb.

Technique Drawbacks: An enemy who intercepts this technique will be healed if hit; it does not discriminate.

Fuuko let her arm drop while it Shukketsubuki reshaped itself, absorbing even more of Fuuko's dripping blood as it did. She looked at Iroka as she breathed through her mouth, her breath hissing as the blood rain soaked her through. "If I had your weapon, I'd beat the shit out of you with it." Fuuko barked back. "If you're weak, then leave. I thought you were here to show me you deserve the Vice-Captaincy." Fuuko continued. "You don't deserve shit. You haven't done anything to show me I should change my mind except stutter and fuss about and talk down about your abilities. I'm the one who's offended by your display, sis. I'm the one doing more to try and prove your case than you are. Heh." 

Fuuko snorted. "it's a good place to start, but what happens when two meat shields clash?" She asked. "What happens when someone wants to give and  receive? Then what?" Fuuko asked. She glanced down. Shukketsubuki had taken the form of a long, thin Fencing Epee with a very sharp tip on it. Fuuko narrowed her eyes. "Stop coddling her, bitch. Just because you don't want to fight her doesn't mean you can go easy on her." Fuuko looked up. "It doesn't mean I will."

Iroka's words about Shukketsubuki's unique way of healing made Fuuko frown. "Hey! Don't insult Shukketsubuki like that! She's bein nice and yer gonna hurt her feelins? You know  she's super sensitive!"  Fuuko barked. "Every drop a blood that Shukketsubuki drinks is cleansed and purified. No toxins, no viruses, and she changes the blood so that anyone can accept it! It's more pure than drinking water!" Fuuko hissed and then looked down at her sword. "She don't know any better." Fuuko spoke softly and ran her fingers along the smooth edge of the blade she held as she spoke quietly to her sword. 

Fuuko continued to shake her head. "Disgustin. Shields are great. It'd be nice ta have one of those. And, yeah, I have any weapon I want, more or less, but I don't get ta pick. Shukketsubuki does and she's fickle as fuck, plus... the healin don't work on me." Fuuko explained and looked up. "All this bitch wants ta do is fight fer as long as possible." Fuuko said, right back to chastising her zanpakutou. "In that regard, we're alike." Fuuko said and smiled. 

"We can take a bath once this is over. If we haven't fucked everything up." Fuuko added and then watched Iroka fling another spectral fish, this time at her. She accepted it and closed her eyes as it washed over her and healed her wounds. She opened her eyes and smirked. "One of us has gotta hurt me!" She said. "And, for the record, Shukketsubuki doesn't let me throw shit. I just do it cause I think it's a good tactic. Now, this time if ya don't show me what ya got, I'm gonna  fuck ya up. Then maybe you'll accept the healin!" 

Fuuko bent her knees and then dashed at Iroka using Shunpo. "River of Blood!" She called out as she approached. She stopped in front of Iroka enough to be aat sword's length. Reiatsu then began to glow around Fuuko's arm. "Quinquaginta Eiecit!" Her hand started thrusting at Iroka at a rapid pace. As fast as a Shunpo! Fifty times in the blink of an eye. If any of the thrusts hit, they wouldn't feel like much more than a pinprick. It was a downside to the technique- Speed over power, but in Fuuko's hands, with River of blood, any pin prick would bleed like a gash had been made. With the attack as it was, it was hard to tell if Fuuko was holding back  or going all out. A case could be made for either.

Technique Description and Effects: By concentrating reiatsu into the arm of choice in the same manner that one would in preparation to utilize a step technique this technique begins bringing not only an enhanced flexibility and durability to the muscles of the arm, but the speed at which the arm can be moved. This technique enables a user with any sort of weapon to actually thrust it forward a total of fifty times in rapid succession equal to double their maximum speed. While the technique enables the user to thrust forward at a rapid rate to inflict damage rapidly it isn't very well suited to dealing lethal damage normally as the wounds inflicted normally will only be a few centimeters in depth.

Fuuko's words were finally getting to Iroka. "If I had your weapon, I'd--" There was a pause, as Iroka checked herself, realizing that she probably wouldn't still beat Fuuko if she had the blonde's weapon. So she gritted her teeth and said nothing about that. In the end, she couldn't even get angry with Fuuko, because her sworn sister was right, after all. But even though she thought herself weak, she could not leave. Or rather, she would not leave. That would be tantamount to admitting defeat, and it was unacceptable.

"That's easy. When two meat shields clash, there's a loud wet squelching sound, and that's about it," Iroka answered. "Nothing too spectacular about that. As for what happens if someone wants to give and receive, then they give and receive, I suppose." Her eyes followed Fuuko's to observe the long thin sword. Apparently, Fuuko wasn't too pleased with the new weapon presented to her by her zanpakutō. That mattered little, as far as Iroka was concerned. The weapon could still deal dangerous wounds.

Fuuko's disapproval at Iroka's squeamishness about the bloody rain was met with alarm. Even though Iroka had thought the rain a rather messy technique, being something of a hypochondriac, it was enough that Fuuko said Shukketsubuki was trying to be nice. That was sufficient to melt the carrot-top's heart. "Oh no!" she exclaimed, looking rather contrite. "I didn't mean that. You're right, I don't know any better. I'm sorry, Shukketsubuki-chan." Still, that did not dissuade Iroka's opinion that her zanpakutō was too limited.

"Shields are great, that is, until they're all you can do," the ginger-haired girl stated with a huff. "But if you really want to be hurt, I don't see how that does you any good regarding enjoying a fight, although I could arrange that, if that's your fetish." Still, she wasn't sure she wanted to; friends did not willingly hurt one another after all. Or did they? Iroka felt her usually taciturn zanpakutō spirit stir within.

"You believe that friends do not really hurt each other, right? Then we are probably not friends, because you hurt me all the time." Iroka blinked. Where was that coming from? "Shugyoku Hirenaga? How do I hurt you all the time?" She wasn't sure she understood. "You always complain about my abilities, as well as my structure." That was unfair. "But I can't even fight with a meteor hammer. And surely I need to be able to defend myself with more than just shields."

"And that there is the problem. You do not accept who you are, and always speak poorly of your abilities. In the same way, you do not accept me, and complain about my abilities. But the real problem is your mindset. You strive to not give up, but defeat yourself even before you begin, by considering yourself worthless. I gave you a meteor hammer, specifically because it would be useless to you. Because you are capable of much more, but hobble yourself with your thoughts. I am capable of much more, but I am hobbled by your thoughts. And until that changes, I cannot be of proper use to you."

As Fuuko came in, and began her flurry, Iroka backpedaled using Shunpo, although her reduced speed did not prevent her from getting a few cuts, which began bleeding rather badly. Iroka ignored them, even as they soon healed, thanks to the bloody rain. "Hadō #33: Sōkatsui!" Holding out her hands, a bright blue burst of flame emanated forth, aimed at the rapier-wielding blonde. "Oni-chan, I must apologize. I just realized, to some extent, the foolishness of my actions. If indeed you truly want me to attempt to harm you, then as a friend, I shall try to oblige you, begging your pardon."

Something seemed to have changed.

Incantation and Effect: “Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Fuuko watched as Iroka flash stepped away from her rapid fire attack. She only got a few little pokes in on Iroka, but it was still enough for Shukketsubuki to drink. The swords began to glow and Fuuko clapped her hands together as it did. When she pulled her hands apart, she had two Tanto daggers, one in each hand. She grinned at Iroka and opened her mouth, only to see Iroka's palms outstretched. She didn't have to wait for the call to know that one of Iroka's kidous was coming at her. She panted her foot and used Shunpo to throw herself backwards. Then, she took the daggers and plunged one into each of her sides. 

"If Aunt Iroka-chan doesn't want ya to drink, let momma handle it... heh. River of blood! Ghk!" It was at that moment that Fuuko was engulfed by the fireball. It wasn't the first time that Fuuko had been blasted with something that was a large blast of fire. She had been hit, point blank, with a Cero in her fight with Teresa. The fact that she had survived that had said as much about how much of an idiot she was as it did speak on her resilience. 

When the dust cleared the ground was charred from the point at which Iroka had fired forward until it had hit something and then split into a V. That something was a large, two handed Buster Sword sticking out of the ground. It was blood red and the hilt looked like a gaping mouth, complete with a row of fangs. Fuuko was behind it, on her knees with her forearm pressed against it and the other arm covering the two slots where she had stabbed herself in the sides. 

"Heh... we can call that one yours..." Fuuko said and then coughed. She splashed blood into Shukketsubuki and it sucked it in and started to glow again. Fuuko stood up and peeked around the blade. "So, if it was my fetish..." The blonde asked with a stiff laugh. "that gives me a better  chance of you helping me out? Finally  we're gettin somewhere. What's your kink, anyway, Sis?" Fuuko said and grabbed the handle of the glowing weapon and pulled it free. She held it up and rested it on her shoulder like it was nothing. Iroka could now plainly  see the stab wounds which seemed to be seeping blood like it was molasses. 

"Heh.... Hah..." As Iroka's temperament seemed to change and become more serious, Fuuko seemed to lighten up again. "How strong is your shield?" Fuuko asked as she ran her hands through her now blood soaked hair. Her clothes were soaked. She was just glad they wore black, otherwise the scene would have been even more grusome looking than it was. SHe couldn't imagine what someone would think if they happened to stumble in on the scene. Though now the two were starting to flex their actual power. If they attracted attention, they attracted attention.

{Raining Blood}-レイニングブラッド (Raining Blood): Fuuko hurls Shukkestusbuki in the air and it releases all but 1 point of its stored up blood and returns to its [First stage]. It begins to rain blood in a 50ft. Radius around Fuuko. The blood is infused with Reiatsu and heals, but also slows. Each post, 25 points of the released pool is spent. Anyone (except Fuuko) who is in the radius heals wounds by one step (Minor wounds disappear, small wounds close, moderate ones begin to heal and major wounds no longer become life threatening), but also has their speed reduced by 25 points as well, for as long as they are in the blood rain. The healing and speed reduction is cumulative.

The aura literally soaks clouds in blood and can be affected in the way clouds are. If Fuuko moves, the aura moves towards her, but at a clouds pace [Speed 300], unless 100 Reiatsu is spent to speed it up to catch up and/or follow Fuuko.

If the Cloud is affected by non-natural wind powers, Fuuko can resist it with OS and spending 100 Reiatsu. If there is natural wind, Fuuko can instead spend [100 Reiatsu] to keep the cloud in place. This ability can be used on a cloudless, sunny day. It is only affected by natural weather after it is used. The clouds are formed by using the ability if there are none.

Fuuko cannot reabsorb the blood rain, but she can spend her own Reiatsu to extend the blood rain by floating the Reiatsu shukketsubuki would put into her pool into the blood rain at a 2 for 1 ratio with a minimum of at least 50 Reiatsu needing to be spent to add 25 back into the blood rain.

The Speed reduction can be resisted with OS, but if the Speed reduction is resisted, so is the healing.

The wounds Fuuko had inflicted on Iroka had allowed the blonde's zanpakutō to morph into two tanto. Iroka took note of the weapons just before she fired off her hadō. What was Fuuko going for, she wondered. A tanto was short, which meant it had poor range, but sacrificed range for high cutting speed, thanks to its reduced weight and size, making for an easily controllable weapon. Perhaps Fuuko intended to focus more on speed than brute strength, like she had done just now, when she had attacked with her rapier. But then Iroka noticed Fuuko turn the blades towards herself.

"What in the history of fractional--?!"

Fuuko was engulfed by the blue flames, Iroka took a step forward out of concern for her friend, but then stopped herself. Even though Fuuko always touted herself as being unintelligent, Iroka knew that her sworn sister was much more crafty than she let on. Perhaps more crafty than she herself thought. Fuuko was certainly not going to be stabbing herself just before getting roasted by blue fire. And as the fire faded away, Iroka saw the purpose of the self inflicted wounds. A huge sword had been formed from the blonde's blood, and had been used as a shield to protect herself from the fire. Reckless, but effective.

"Hmm? Which one is mine?" Iroka asked, failing to understand her best friend's statement. She frowned slightly at Fuuko's statement of having a better chance of getting help from her. It somewhat flew over her head, but she felt she understood a bit of what had been said. "I mean, if you enjoy being beaten to a pulp and cut into ribbons, you're the one having fun. I fail to see how that's enjoyable, but we're all different, ne?" Still, Iroka didn't know whether Fuuko was really enjoying herself. That laugh had not sounded exactly mirthful.

The question about kinks made Iroka shrug. "Haven't paid much thought to it, I guess, but I think there'll probably be modified tools involved. Like power sanders and jackhammers--" She'd just mentioned said tools because they were the first to come to mind, but Iroka's mind caught up to where her mouth was, and she froze. Then her face turned beet red. Whatever one would do with a power sander in a kinky situation was probably best left unsaid. "Wh-- what's the purpose of such a lewd question, anyway? Are you trying to distract me?" she sputtered.

Managing to regain some level of composure, Iroka closed her eyes and sighed. "In any case, I'm of a mind to let you continue leaking, because you don't have to be told that stabbing yourself is a very stupid move," the carrot top stated, her tone being the mildly chastising one a mother used on a child who had committed a minor infraction. "You're all a mess, Oni-chan. You really should know better. Stand still and let me fix you up, but unless you're an endless-supply blood bag, you don't want to be wounding yourself like that again. Anemia isn't as crimson rainbows as it sounds. Han'nyagake!"

She released another spectral fish in the direction of her friend, who would feel her skin shut back and the bleeding stop, although it would be clear that the stab wounds weren't absolutely fully healed, and reckless moving or stress on her sides would result in Fuuko experiencing internal bleeding from the former stab wound areas. For Iroka's part, the bloody rain seemed to be taking care of her wounds... except she now felt even slower than she had been before. That was a curious disadvantage, one that she did not feel she wanted to allow to continue. Quietly, she resisted the healing, generating a green aura on her left hand, which she used to close up the remaining scratches that remained on her.

"My shield is--" there was a pause, as the ginger haired girl selected her words carefully. She had been chided both by Fuuko and her zanpakutō spirit for talking down on herself and her abilities. It would be hard, but she would learn to not downgrade herself so much any more. If not for any reason, for the sakes of Fuuko and Shugyoku Hirenaga. "I think it's decent. Well, actually I have two shields, one for spirit-based attacks and the other for more physical attacks. I kind of feel that having two shields is a little redundant, but we'll make the best of what we have. Why do you ask, Oni-chan?"

Somewhere within the recesses of her mind, the lone fish swimming within the pond was pleased with Iroka's answer. "Very good, child..." the fish intoned wordlessly, a statement only Iroka heard. Only Iroka, and one other. The Hollow within her stirred, taking note of Iroka's mindful intention to at least improve how she treated herself. "Oh? Little Fish is quite the fast learner, isn't she?" the dark spirit chuckled. And that, Iroka heard as well, to her own consternation.

Technique Description and Effects: Iroka creates auras on the heads of her meteor hammer, firing any of them like a projectile. Their range is 100 meters in Shikai. The aura projectile takes the shape of a spectral koi fish, travels in a straight line, and flies at a speed equal to Iroka’s spiritual OS. On striking a target, it heals them of damage equivalent to how much Reiatsu she invested into the projectile. 50 Reiatsu will heal all minor injuries (scratches, minor lacerations, scrapes). 100 Reiatsu will heal up to two major lacerations, or moderate burn/corrosive damage.
In Bankai, the range of this technique is 250 meters, and it can target up to five different targets, the released aura transforming into five dragon heads which fly at any five targets of Iroka’s choice. These projectiles fly in curved trajectories, and they change direction to pursue their targets. They fly at a speed equal to Iroka’s OS. Bankai can heal according to Shikai Reiatsu costs, but as expected, it will heal a lot more, if more Reiatsu is used. 200 Reiatsu will heal a severed body extremity, like a hand or foot., or a single compound fracture. 400 Reiatsu will heal major injuries such as internal bleeding and organ failure. At its limit, 800 Reiatsu is strong enough to restore a full severed limb.

Technique Drawbacks: An enemy who intercepts this technique will be healed if hit; it does not discriminate.

"Ahahahaha-Ow! Fuck! eheh..." Fuuko couldn't help but chortle at Iroka's misunderstanding of her question, but laughing like that only made the places she stabbed hurt that much more. "Oh, shit, I'll remember that." She mused. "And what's the purpose? We're taking our relationship to the next level, right? Intimate questions are important. How can we spill each other's blood if we don't know how we spill...." Fuuko shut her mouth and waved her other hand. She chuckled again, even as Iroka scolded her and then splashed her with one of her spectral healing koi. 

Fuuko didn't flinch and closed her eyes as the healing washed over her. "Well, apparently you  don't wanna win this fight." She replied and glanced up as the bloody clouds seemed to evaporate to reveal the blue, cloudless sky that had been there before. "And, if you don't wanna accept my  gift, well, fine." She opened the palm of her free hand and cracked her knuckles as the glowing weapon she held finally formed into a red bladed Naginata. She glanced at it up and down, observing the "mouth" that made the blade look like a tongue. No matter how many times she saw it, she was almosy always creeped out by her own zanpakutou. 

With a deft flick, Fuuko spun her naginata around so that she was holding the end that was pointing at Iroka with the blade extending behind her. Fuuko crouched and peered at Iroka. She inhaled and then used her speed to charge at Iroka. Fuuko swung the naginata when she got close, using the way she was holding it to strike at Iroka like a scorpion's tail, using the full extention to try and get at the orangette from a safe distance. She pivoted immediately after the strike and hopped to the side and the struke again at a different angle, trying to get around and nip at Iroka's leg with a slash.

"If we don't know how we spill what, Fuuko-chan?" Iroka asked, a curious and expectant look on her face. Unfortunately, it seemed as though Fuuko was not going to answer the question. The carrot top gave her friend a reproachful pout. "People are so difficult to understand these days," she complained. "Just how am I expected to make sense of what anyone is saying, if they don't finish their sentences?"

As the clouds dissipated, Iroka followed Fuuko's eyes to look up at the clearing sky, with the bloody clouds dissipating. "Oh I pretty much want to win this battle; that was the last freebie I'd give you here," she answered, hefting her meteor hammer. Her expression, however, took on some degree of remorse. "And please, don't be offended. I love your gift, but it puts me at a disadvantage. I'm not fast, and it even makes me slower than I already am, so I hope you can see why I'm not particularly delighted to accept it. I hope Shukketsubuki-chan is not offended."

The new weapon was impressive, although weird, just as all the others. Then whole mouth, tongue and teeth aesthetic was not something Iroka took too much artistic pleasure in. Still, a naginata was a useful weapon to use, and in a place that had enough space with which to swing the weapon. It also had range, which meant that Fuuko could attack her without coming into striking range. And although Iroka's weapon had range of its own, it was not something she had the skill to use, and as such she had no advantage in the place of range, as far as weapons were concerned. However, Iroka was no one-trick pony.

She tried to move away as Fuuko charged her, though the ginger haired girl was not fast enough to get out of the way. But she did not try to parry the attack, instead trying to swing one of the heads of her weapon to attack her opponent, even as the naginata blade opened a flowing would in her left side. It was very unlikely Iroka's flailing blow would hit. But as Fuuko changed direction to attack again, she would realize that the apparent attack had just been an attempt by Iroka to swing her hands together without alerting the blonde of what she intended to do until the last moment.

She made no attempt to dodge the second slash, another profusely bleeding wound opening on her right thigh. But she completed her motion, which was a gentle clap; gentle, but enough to get the job done with something Fuuko no doubt would recognize. "Tansashō: Tsurigane!" Her plan was simple: to blast Fuuko away from her and into the air, just to create an opening to perform her next plan. "Bakudō #61: Rikujokoro!" Hopefully, the spell would catch Fuuko in midair, immobilizing the blonde if things worked successfully.

And yet, it was clear that this high-risk, high-reward style of combat which Iroka was using was not going to be very sustainable for long. Her wounds were really bleeding badly, thanks to Shukketsubuki's ability to make the wounds inflicted bleed more intensely than normal. But Fuuko was normally too fast for Iroka. Until the carrot-top figured out a safer way to successfully fight a speed-focused opponent, she would have to gambit her safety to land hits. And despite attempting to hobble Fuuko, the blonde had seemed too sturdy to be slowed down by her surgical strikes. So a kidō would have to do.

But would it succeed?

Description: Thrusting out a palm, the practitioner projects reiatsu from their hand to deal damage at a range of up to 10 meters. The beauty of this technique is its versatility, as the user can mold the reiatsu being projected in order to produce different results. As this technique utilizes reiatsu to attack, it does not require strength to deal damage, as is expected of a Shintenken technique. The varying styles with which reiatsu may be projected to perform Tansashō are as follows:
Nejire (Warp): The most basic form of the Cinnabar Palm. The user projects a pulse of reiatsu on impact with a target to deal bludgeoning damage and push the target backwards
Kū (Void): This is simply Nejire, but with the pulse of reiatsu projected so that it strikes at range, as opposed to a close-quarter strike. Effect is the same as Nejire.
Tsurigane (Battle Gong): User performs Tansashō with both hands, while clapping them together. The resultant effect is a visible shockwave of rippling air which explodes outward from the user for up to ten meters. Anyone hit by the shockwave is sent flying, though it cannot be used as a shield. The shockwave has a characteristic Buddhist bell shape, hence its name.
Each form is learned with increase in proficiency. At Learned, user can use Nejire. Kū is usable at Proficient, and Tsurigane is usable at Mastered.
How to Use: User gathers reiatsu into their open palm and strikes a target, releasing the reiatsu on impact, or releasing the reiatsu before impact, to deliver a ranged attack.
Drawbacks: The major drawback of this technique is its range, which is a maximum of 10 meters. Also can only be used by Shintenken practitioners (must have at least 1 SkP devoted to Hakuda: Shintenken as a skill).

Description: Summons six thin, wide beams of light that slam into a target's midsection from all sides, holding them in place. This technique also results in total paralysis, and can even suspend targets in mid-air.
How to Use: This requires the user's eyes to be focused on the target, and their casting hand to be aimed at the target as well. The six beams will then close in, but those who are quick enough or instinctive enough will be able to dodge.
Incantation: The incantation increases the reiatsu strength of this technique by 25%. (I.E. Reiatsu strength of 100 is instead worth 125.) ("Carriage of Thunder. Bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into six!")

"I'll tell ya when yer older!" Fuuko barked back and gripped her naginata, which was already glowing thanks tot he wounds it had inflicted upon Iroka. She was ready to keep it up when she realized that Iroka had let  the wound cut her flesh. She already knew that Iroka, like herself, was someone who was willing to take a hit to dish one out, Fuuko wondered where the next attack might come from. The clap went unnoticed, At least, until the words came from Iroka's mouth. She'd heard that  shit before and as the gust came at her, Fuuko plunged her glowing weapon into the ground as hard as she could. 

"Fuck that shit!" It was clear enough that Iroka didn't seem to do well in close quarters. It seemed like a lot  of people Fuuko went up against didn't do well int hat kind of situation, and Fuuko wasn't about to get thrown off into the distance to get blasted by electricity or fire or whatever magic bullshit Iroka could conjure up. In fact, Fuuko was starting to think Iroka was fighting like this on purpose just to rankle Fuuko up and get under her skin! Still, the shockwave threw her off balance, and her legs shot up into the air, but she grabbed the handle of her weapon and wriggled in the air like a flag for a brief moment before she grasped the forming pole with both hands and lifted it up. 

"Enough of that clapping bullshit!" Fuuko barked as she had a Bec de Corbin raised in her hands. It was a long polearm with a pointed spike at the top and another hooked, beak-like spike perpendicular to the end spike. The other side was a blunt hammer, but that was pointed away from Iroka. The the bad news for Iroka was that Fuuko was barely moved from the position she had been attacking from. She wasn't in the air at all when the Bakudo went off. The good news was, Fuuko didn't even seem to blink as Iroka spoke the name of the spell. She swung the polearm down, the claw end aimed right at Iroka's shoulder as she grit her teeth and focused on trying to get Iroka before the beams of light slammed into her. 

"River of blood." 

Her teeth clenched and there was a snarl on her face as she swung, even as the beams of light hit her. She could feel it nearly knock the wind out of her and then leave her in a state of near paralyzation. She'd be in trouble for sure, especially if she missed, but if she could stick that claw into Iroka's shoulder, hopefully the orangette would have much more important things to worry about than going after Fuuko. Not to mention she could feel Shukketsubuki salivating at the thought of getting to drink so deeply of Iroka's sweet lifeblood.

"Oh my, someone is a fast learner, ne?" Iroka said, a hint of amusement mixed with approval in her voice, as she took note of Fuuko's response to her Tsurigane. "I'm surprised how you sometimes talk about how you aren't that smart. Could have fooled me." The defense against it was simple but effective: stab her weapon into the ground and use it to anchor herself. And given the blonde's strength, it was effective enough, because as far as Iroka's Shintenken techniques were concerned, it would take a large bit of pounding Fuuko relentlessly with her moves before the blonde was down and out for the count.

Fuuko's weapon had changed again. This time, it was a war hammer-like weapon, though the hammer was a bit smaller than what Iroka would expect on a war hammer. Still, it had a long spike atop it, as well as a curved, sharp beak on the other side of the hammer. Fuuko didn't dodge Iroka's binding spell, even if she could have attempted to do so. Seemed she was taking a page out of Iroka's book to make a gambit of her own. It would have been so much easier if Fuuko had been sent flying by the Tsurigane, but that did not happen. Iroka would have to adapt to the new unpleasant circumstance.

The descending beak tore into Iroka's shoulder, even as the ginger-haired girl let out a cry of pain. But she clenched her teeth and bore through the pain, thrusting her body forward to break free of the claw, which only served to expand the already deep wound. Now Iroka was bleeding profusely, and would probably not be able to fight for much longer. Still, she had a plan which, although quite risky, would keep her in the battle for much longer, only if it worked. Otherwise, she was done. What she depended on most was the element of surprise here.

"Bosatsu Kyōzō!"

Iroka glowed momentarily, even as she placed a hand on her shoulder. Fuuko would notice that the large bleeding wound she had just delivered would suddenly vanish, as though it had not been inflicted at all. Even as Shugyoku Hirenaga began to glow, Iroka moved even closer to Fuuko, holding the heads of the meteor hammers at their bases so that she would be able to punch with them, even though normally, using a meteor hammer like that was ineffective in combat. But Iroka only needed to land a hit. And it did not need to be an actual blow. A touch of the meteor hammer heads would be enough.

Even though Iroka was now in very close proximity to Fuuko, and thus apparently at a disadvantage, as Fuuko was the better close quarter fighter, the carrot top had not chosen this course of action foolishly. With Fuuko's bec de corbin, it would be much more difficult to fight an opponent in very close range with it, as opposed to Fuuko having something more maneuverable like a knife. And so, hopefully, the blonde would be less able to effectively ward Iroka off with such a large weapon. If not for the Rikujokoro, Fuuko would probably have been able to dodge, but this was why Iroka had banked on such a dangerous strategy.

She threw two punches in quick succession, one shortly after the other, aiming to use the second to strike Fuuko, if the Red Oni managed to parry the first. While attacking, Iroka kept her senses peeled, to ensure that she would not take any avoidable ripostes while attacking. She was also careful to make sure that her strikes would flow such that at least one would avoid Fuuko's attempts to block or dodge. It was, after all, very difficult to block two attacks coming in tandem, when one had little mobility. And if Fuuko got struck, the blonde would realize that the wound she had delivered to Iroka's left should would appear on her. Except it would be on her right shoulder.

Technique Name: Bosatsu Kyōzō [Bodhisattva Mirror Image]
Technique Type: Shikai/Bankai [Support/Indirect Offensive]
Technique Reiatsu Cost: 300 Reiatsu
Technique Description and Effects: This technique is something of an endgame. On activating the technique, Iroka begins to glow, after which she touches a target, and wounds and negative statuses they had received in the space of 24 hours disappear, as she ‘absorbs’ their condition into her zanpakutō world. The glow around her then transfers to her zanpakutō, at which point she attacks another target. Targets struck by any of the glowing heads of her meteor hammer will find that the damage absorbed by Iroka will appear on them, albeit ‘reflected’; in other words as a mirror image. For example, if Iroka uses Bosatsu Kyōzō on a friend with a broken right leg and a punctured left lung, transferring reflecting their injury on an enemy will give said enemy a broken left leg and punctured right lung. In Shikai, Iroka can only absorb and reflect a single major injury, while in Bankai, she can reflect all injuries present at a given time.
Note that opponents with a higher OS than Iroka can resist the damage being reflected on them, in which case they will take no damage at all. In Shikai, an opponent with an OS higher than hers will automatically 'reject' the damage reflection. In Bankai, opponent OS has to be at least 50% higher than Iroka's (e.e. Opponent's 150 OS to Iroka's 100 OS) to reject reflection. Note that for every class above Iroka, the OS stat requirement is reduced by 10%, while for every class below Iroka, the stat requirement is increased by 10%. For instance, an opponent two classes higher than Iroka will only need their OS to be 30% higher than Iroka's to reject the damage, but an opponent two classes lower will need theirs to be 70% higher than Iroka's.
Fortunately for Iroka, even if an opponent rejects the damage reflection, she will not take damage, as long as she has been able to reflect the damage she absorbed into her zanpakutō world. While it seems to be such a powerful technique, its downsides make it a technique Iroka will only ever use as a last resort.
Technique Drawbacks: First drawback is its relatively high cost compared to other techniques of its level. Also, if Iroka cannot reflect damage on anyone after 2 post cycles, the damage will be reflected on her instead. It cannot be used on the dead, or on inanimate objects. Also, it loses the power to harm opponents of considerably higher power levels than Iroka. Finally, it is a relatively short-range technique; Iroka needs to hit an opponent with any of the heads of her weapon to reflect the damage.

Fuuko visibly winced as the Bec de Corbin beak sank into Iroka's shoulder. Not only was it a nasty weapon in and of itself, but Fuuko had put as much  force into it as she could. Hearing her sworn sister scream, knowing she  was the one who made her feel that pain ripped her up inside more than any of the actual  pain Iroka, or nearly anyone else, for that matter, had inflicted upon her body. That kind of painwas fleeting. Fuuko knew it more than most. It was why  she loved to fight. The idea of going back in each time after getting beaten and battered and bruised. It was what fueled her past the decire to protect. That adrenaline junky that lived for putting her body and life on the line, believing she would come out the other side. It was even worse when Iroka tore herself from it. Fuuko winced, but she would have done the same. She was proud of Iroka for keeping up. The orangette still seemed like she was in control to some extent as she chastised Fuuko. 

"I know fightan." She spit and then inhaled. "ORAAAAAA!" Fuuko flexed her muscles and shot out her reiatsu like a wave to free herself all while Iroka called out an ability and grabbed both ends of her meteor hammer. Shuuketsubuki was already glowing again and with a deft flick, Fuuko spun the transforming zanpakutou backwards so it rested against the ground while it drank more blood and continued to transform. "Drinkit all up, baby~" Fuuko cooed under her breath. As she watched Iroka's injury was suddenly healed, she pursed her lips. No more blood for Shukketsubuki... 

"What the fuck!?" Fuuko barked indignantly. Not only that, but Iroka was coming at her with the ends of her hammer more like boxing gloves or cesti. Fuuko wished, sometimes, that Shukketsubuki could make blunt weapons, but, as much as the zan spirit loved to fight, she was too greedy. The best Fuuko could do was something like a Bev de Corbin that was pointy and just happened to have a blunt end on it. That Iroka was trying to get close set off alarm bells in Fuuko's head. She also knew that the stance wasn't going to get Iroka anywhere. if she was trying to box, she looked sloppy. If any of those "punches" connected they would probably tickle  Fuuko and Iroka certainly didn't look like she was trying to switch over to a tickle fight. 

"Iroka-chan!" Fuuko said and started to back away. "Please don't!" She said. She felt it in her hands. Shuuketsibuki was antsy. Fuuko was too. As Iroka rushed, there was an audible sound. Steel being pulled back. It sounded like the cocking of a gun and it came from nowhere and everywhere at once. Fuuko threw her leg back and leaned back as much as she could. She couldn't parry with the unwieldy weapon Shukketsubuki currently was, so, instead, she closed her eyes and let the reiatsu build around her feet. As Iroka came in for the real punch behind her feint, Fuuko used shunpo to throw herself forwards to take the hit, and then some, trying to use her speed and their close proximity to body Iroka and tackle her to the ground. 

Of course, the second the "punch" hit, Fuuko would immediately feel a deep tearing in her arm, like the the bone had been nearly forcefully pulled from the socket by a deep, rocketing force. As her shoulder split open, even her sturdy body and high pain tolerance gave way to a shriek of pain. Still, what she needed more than her arm was momentum. Whatever Iroka had  done, whatever she could  do, if Fuuko could just get her to the ground and get her on top, she was certain that she could finish the fight. Now that it was too far from resolving now. 

As her body hurtled, she felt tears stinging her cheeks. They weren't tears of pain, however. Fuuko, as badly as she had ever been hurt, had rarely cried from pain alone. No, these were tears of sorrow and terrible sadness. Emotional pain for what had been done today and how far each of them were willing to go for the sake of what they wanted. What if Iroka could  beat Fuuko? She knew Iroka was strong, smart and had a very unique zanpakutou, but if Fuuko just lost  to her, where did that put the blonde? Could she ever protect Iroka? And, if she couldn't protect Iroka, then who could she protect? No one was the likely answer. She may as well give up her dream of being the Yonbantaitaichou if that was the case. If she couldn't protect Iroka, then she wasn't worth a damn thing in her own mind. She might as well toss her zanpakutou in a lake, steal a gigai and go live in the human world, or maybe somewhere else?

But... If she won, she knew that victory wouldn't taste good either. She might lose Iroka anyway. She'd just have to deal with that when the time came. If she couldn't get Iroka to ground, then it was all moot anyway. "Please don't... make me do this..."

Although Fuuko managed to break free from the restraint binding her, it had all been enough to allow Iroka's punch to land. Still, her opponent seemed quite unwilling to take the blow lying down, figuratively. Iroka did not know whether that mattered much. Even though she was still wounded, the large shoulder wound she had 'reflected' to Fuuko was going to be difficult to easily deal with in combat. This battle was drawing to a close, and Iroka hoped to be on the winning side.

Fuuko's maneuver to close the distance between them took Iroka by surprise, but only because the Shunpo was unexpected. Being in close proximity was more of an advantage for Fuuko than it was for Iroka. And although Iroka knew how to ward off close quarter opponents, the truth was that someone such as Fuuko, who combined strength and tenacity, was quite difficult to create distance with. Iroka's best bet would be to just keep attacking as heavily as she could afford, healing herself when she could, and hope she could outlast Fuuko.

She didn't know if she could, but she would sure as hell try. In any case, Iroka had been encouraged by the fact that she had managed to last much longer than she thought she would, against her opponent. And she had managed to not just hold out against the blonde. Fuuko's scream of pain was sufficient proof of Iroka's own ability to deal noticeable damage. A strong pang of guilt and concern shot through her heart, but Iroka quickly buried the emotions. She was going to win this. She HAD to. Which was why, when Fuuko tackled her, the carrot top's swift mind had already presented what she thought would be the most optimal counterattack, given both of their circumstances.

Fuuko's tackle was entirely successful; Iroka lacked the musculature or weight to try to wrestle her successfully, so the ginger haired girl didn't even try, simply shifting her weight to allow for as painless a collision with the ground as possible. The fall wasn't as seamless as intended, but it wasn't jarring to the point that Iroka would be unable to carry out her response. Although Fuuko had the positional advantage while straddling her, firing off a blast spell at almost pointblank range was going to be almost a certain hit. Even as her back touched the ground, her right arm was rising, palm facing Fuuko's face as static crackled on her fingertips. "Hadō--"

"Please don't... make me do this..."

Iroka was often clueless to social cues, but there was something in Fuuko's voice that made her focus on the blonde's face. Her chartreuse eyes widened slowly, as her rising hand paused, then dropped. "Oni-chan, are those... tears?" Fuuko was too tough to cry. Iroka was the softie, so why was Fuuko crying? It wasn't the pain from her wounds; Iroka knew Fuuko to be the most stubborn, toughest piece of work she had met so far. So what was the purpose of these tears? Alarm shot through Iroka's expression. "Did I somehow go too far?"

If Iroka had lost her will to fight, something inside her was not so willing to end it all in peace. The desire for violence, for pain, could not just go unfulfilled, not after waiting this long. There needed to be carnage, and there needed to be carnage NOW! "Oh no you don't, you stupid weakling!" Mushoku roared in rage from the recesses of her mind. Almost immediately, Iroka felt her mind seemingly drawn towards the center of some dark and powerful gravity well, even as the inner Hollow strove to take control at that moment of physical fatigue and mental unguardedness.

Her delicate form, pinned beneath the more powerful Fuuko, suddenly bucked with a strength alarming for her size and build. Although it wasn't enough to throw the dark-skinned Shinigami off of Iroka, Fuuko would surely detect that this strength was unnatural for the petite orangette. With an almost silent snarl, Iroka's hand shot up again, fingers curved claw-like, aimed at Fuuko's throat. Her gentle green eyes, for a moment so swift it would probably have been scarce noticed by anyone unaware of Iroka's secret condition, seemed to suddenly become wild and frightening. Irises turning yellow, sclera darkening.

And then it was gone. Iroka had managed to push down the influence of Mushoku. But for how long could she keep fighting a battle within like this? Her zanpakutō glowed, and then returned to the shape of its sealed form, as Iroka gave up on continuing the battle. It was her turn to cry. "I'm so sorry, Oni-chan," the carrot top said between sobs, "I almost-- I was this close to--" Unable to finish the words, she covered her face with her hands, as the tears flowed from her own face.

Fuuko grunted as she collapsed onto Iroka. The tears that dripped from her eyes trickled onto Iroka's hand as she heard the Hado being cast. She was surprisingly less worried about that than she was about maintaining the grip on her zanpakutou that she was trying to fully grip in her damaged arm. Her teeth grit as she could feel the searing pain in her arm, but as she looked past Iroka's fingers and into her sister's eyes, she tried to harden herself. She used her good hand to bat away Iroka's arm with the split second she had. 

"Yeah, their fuckin tears, ya dummy! And, no ya didn't-"

When she felt Iroka buck underneath her, SHe spread her legs to keep Iroka pinned, but Fuuko could feel the stregth that was much more than what was nornally capable of the orangette. "Ghhk!" That was followed by a sharp clutching at her throat and her eyes widened. She gagged, but her own lips twisted into a grin. "T-There it is..." She wheezed and jammed the hilt of her glowing zanpakutou into Iroka's side. "B-Blood...B-" Fuuko stared into Iroka's eyes, no the eyes of the demon she was becoming and didn't blink. Just as she was about to attack, Iroka came back. Fuuko's eyes widened and she immediately threw her sword sway from herself, wincing as pain shot through her arm. 

"Yeah... me too."

Fuuko watched Iroka cover her face and after a few moments, she took a rest and gentley pulled Iroka's hand away. "Shhhh, shhhh...." Fuuko leaned forward and kissed the top of Iroka's head while one hand pressed against Iroka's cheekShe used her thumb to wipe away one side of tears and then used her goof hand to slide her hand under Iroka's head and pulledherinto a gentle hug, sitting them up and pressing Iroka's head against the nape of her neck. She ran her hand up and down Iroka's back and remained silent for a long time. 

When she thought they were both ready, Fuuko gave some distance and looked Iroka in the eye. "Ya ok, sis?" She said gently. She then turned. "In the end, I don't think anythin was really solved, but we can talk about it later. Maybe we can fight again later too." She went to shrug and then winced. "I just... " Fuuko bit her lip and  felt some tears well up again. She shut her eyes and shook her head and shook them away. "I just want ya to know that anythin I say or do for ya is done one hundred  percent cause I love you. That's the only thing ya need ta know, understand? I can bear the burden for both of us and you can... you can be... you."
