Satoshi Fuuko rested her head on her pillow. Another long day. Unlike the other days, however, this one had not been spent cleaning sewers or washing equipment or many of the other menial tasks that were part of her duties as a member of the Yonbantai. This one had been spent training with Nakajima Kimiko, the captain of Squad Eleven. The tip of the spear of the 13 Court Guard. The woman who should have been her captain... if not for her brother.
"Kazuhiko..." Fuuko muttered as she drifted off to sleep. How long had it been? She knew down to the last second the last time she had seen him but it had also felt like a countless number of days, weeks? Whatever. Fuuko's lids were closed, but her mind still stirred as she rolled back and forth to try and get comfortable. Her body was sore, but she didn't want to sleep. She could only think about her brother and getting stronger and getting back at the damn bastard who captured him.
"Nnnn...." Fuuko groaned and nestled her head into her pillow one last time. Her mouth opened and she sucked in a breath from a big yawn and then she drifted off to sleep. Everything was black for a moment before suddenly, she felt like she was floating. She couldn't open her eyes at first, but the faint voice in the distance tickled at her ear.
"Oi! Anego! Over here! Over here! Just don't..."
Fuuko's eyes opened and when she lifted her head, she saw herself in a reflection. The reflection rippled and her arms pushed. "Oh, shit!" Fuuko's eyes widened and her whole body listed and she sunk into the water. When she opened her mouth, water rushed in. Her eyes widened and she thrashed about.
'Drown.' It was a familiar voice that was in her head. Fuuko thrashed and looked around. The water was crystal clear but she saw nothing.
'It's you!?' Fuuko opened her mouth, but only bubbles came out. Still, she had said something in her mind. She was communicating with it. And it was speaking back.
'Nah... if you can't even save yourself from this, then maybe yer not cut out to be my Anego anyway.'
