Brutus saw the change in Celes when she realized how he'd found her. He chuckled to himself, but it was loud enough for Celes to hear. He couldn't hide the fact, but he would allow her to ask any questions regarding Shawn and their dealings. He loved to mock the other as it stood, especially when even their own zanpakuto spirit agreed with him. She didn't say anything however and though it dampened his mood a little he let it slide. Knowing full well that he'd heard about things from Shawn without a shadow of a doubt. As she was reading over the deal and coming to her own terms with its Celes finally looked him dead in the . . . horns. And spoke to him. Her soul seemed uncertain about how or what she was about to say. But clearly it wasn't aggressive in nature. This time.
What she said was curious indeed. Honor. Pfft. Nothing but a waste. However, in this case he had a different phrase for it. And thus, spoke up to ensure she could perhaps be a bit less confused on why he was a truthful as he was. "Let's be fair, you're not incorrect about being distrustful. Killing them on sight, so long as they are not in Hell, is typically your best decision. Considering that it seems you've met the typical filth that Hell holds, I'm not all that surprised you have a distaste for us beyond the typical. I however . . . Hmm. . . I find my dealings are smoother with a bit of honesty. Sometimes snarky, sometimes brutal, or in cases like our own, even and collected. You could call it manipulative, but it makes others feel better about a possibly "dubious" deal."
"I've had repeats because of it. If you can believe. So, call it a professional curtesy more than honor." He then let her continue in her commentary. He frowned some at her decision to make an ammendment but they were still in the discussion phase, so it was allowed. He nodded and listened to what she was requesting. His frown was swept from his face as he began smiling, a bit darkly as he knew Shawn would without a doubt lose his shit. Especially knowing he'd inadvertently brought them together. Regardless he spoke up with a bit of mirth in his voice. "Yes. . . Yes, I think we can make an exception. So long as you are within the inner world of another who has made a deal with me, you may speak of me. But only so long as those present are those who've made deals with me. I think that would be fair. I look forward to seeing Shawn's reaction when he finds out that you know hehehe."
Brutus took the tome away for a moment and made a minor amendment at the bottom of it. A simple clause stating what was discussed. Then he handed the tome back to Celes and awaited her signature, questions, or other commentary. Brutus watched with a bit of tense muscles he hadn't realized he was holding. And then he frowned deeply when the inner hollow of all beings decided to stop Celes from signing her name. He sighed for a moment and calmed himself down. There was, without a doubt, the impression that he would have rolled his eyes at the inner hollow had he been gifted with eyes to roll. Sadly, his horns were not able to do such. Still credit where credit was due, the inner hollow decided that they would ensure that Brutus had not been lying in their contract. Doing exactly as he said and finding nothing.
Brutus said nothing and expressed nothing. He didn't blame the hollow for being cautious. Especially the more they mentioned Orobas. He was very very tempted to deep dive into her soul for that memory but that could be done later. Celes was already all but convinced to sign herself into the agreement. So, no need to rush it. Still, he had to admit that he was glad, more so than prior about how he had asked for her assistance in defending himself. With the inner hollow bound to the same rules as Celes and her zanpakuto spirit were, he could at least know that he would be given a moment to acquire that blasted ring. As well as whatever else that waste of space had on his person. And if the inner hollow was out, there was likely none in Soul Society that could stop them. Aside from perhaps their captain commander but they were likely to be busy if all came to pass as Brutus knew of.
Then without further a due or delay Celes signed the book. Her name in a lovely cursive. Brutus then took the book and nodded as he made sure her entire name was present. He then turned to her and smiled as nodded. "Indeed they are. Now, bear with me for a moment. I will be collecting the energy of your soul. It will take a moment and at most you will a minor degree of exhaustion." Without further warning Brutus then would reach and touch Celes's collar bone and use a bit of his reiatsu. If she weren't concerned prior, she definitely would be now, likely the spirits as well. Her entire torso opened up like a door with Brutus simply smiling darkly. The opposite side of it? Her soul, pure and untouched sans the inner hollow's energy. The truly concerning part of this entire endeavor was that if any spirit or Celes tried to do anything, they'd find themselves bound. As if chains were present that hindering their movement and reiatsu.
Brutus quickly swiped a small thin string of Celes's reiatsu. A light green wisp in color and easily see through. He then shut the door that was Celes's torso before placing the wisp into his tome, specifically into Celes's name that she'd written. The words glowed brightly for a moment, before changing in color and font. To old Germanic in font with a pure black ink color. And then she'd sense it, her energy ever so faintly emanating from the tome. Her body and reiatsu as well as the spirits would be free again and Brutus would be busy doing the same to himself. Cutting his hand on his spearhead and then opening himself to grab a small golden-yellow wisp of energy and placing it into his signature. When all was said and done, he replaced all the objects he'd brought out into the personal pocket dimension and relaxed visibly. Brutus felt some energy flare on his right shoulder as his skin burnt itself into a simple sigil. A diamond with a small rectangle with various lines through it. Unironically, it looked akin to a door but in low quality.
Then he'd turn around and speak to Celes. "Sadly, that was necessary. I need pure, untouched, reiatsu. Not simply the reiatsu you channel through yourself. Thankfully as its reiatsu and not a true piece of your soul you will regain the energy lost with rest. As you would usually. I do tend to omit that portion out as to not scare others hehe. But no worries, it will have no lasting effects. I should know, I have to engage in this every time I make a deal and I've lived for . . . too long to remember. Ah, before I forget, you should have a matching sigil on your flesh somewhere. Make certain to take note of it as I suspect, you are not the type to get tattoo's at random. It will be present until our deal has concluded on both ends. Now, if you'd like we can talk freely about Guujin, especially considering the Seireitei will be attacked again, in hmm. . . a week or two? Rizer, the opposing hand of Souken has been "meticulously planning" an attack on Soul Society and has almost all the pieces he desires together. If I had to guess, you've a high chance of meeting Guujin there. I hope you're ready Celes.~"
