Being wreathed in lightning, Ailene would not notice the change in Shio's disposition. Among the electrical storm that raged around her and the crackling that filled her ear, she would be concentrating on the reiatsu surging through her body along with changing it into the Cero Lightning. Tendrils of purple and blue reiatsu assaulted Shio's falling body, dropping with little force against the Arrancar as if the life had left the doll. While they would not dear any severe damage, the tendrils charred parts of the doll black. A sudden scream of pain mixed with sobbing erupted from the Mod Soul. It was a sickening shriek and yet Ailene would pay no heed to it.
After a few moments, Ailene stopped the surging electricity as parts of her body were assaulted with burns and charred black patches of skin. Such was the price of using pushing Cero Lightning to its full extent. Falling to the ground together with Shio, the Arrancars' breathing quickened. She braced herself for impact, gritting her teeth as she crashed into the quartz ground below. The fall would be brutal. While Ailene lacked Shio's plushie constitution, she had a Hierro which hardened her ski against the cruel impact. As she rolled, tumbling, she would eventually fall onto her back, grunting in discomfort, her eyes closed as her breathing eases.
First a moment passes. Then a few more. Finally, a minute elapses as Ailene finally finds the strength to move. Sighing softly, the Arrancar struggles to her feet, grunting as she clears her mind. Finding the strength to stand, she finally stands. As Ailene offers her words to Shio, she notices the lingering strength that quickly fades. Though this is not the only thing she notices. Feeling it upon the solemn wind, there is a silence that fills the area. The sights of Hollows hidden behind trees. Soft roars emerge from them though they dare not approach. They dare not feast upon the spoils left behind by Ailene and Shio's battle. At least not until Ailene is departed.
Suddenly there is a small shriek that arises from Shio. A shriek that soon turns to sobbing. It is a truly heart wrenching display as Ailene begins her slow approach to the broken body of Shio. As she does, Ailene notices Shio's body contort. She stops in her tracks. Does Shio have something else planned? Some last desperate maneuver? The Arrancar is not sure, but she is on her guard regardless. Not long after does it occur. An audible pop as Shio's body ejects the azure Soul Pill that animates the doll's body. As it does, the sobbing and shrieking ends. Soon all that is left...is silence. Not even the Hollows who are watching move upon Shio.
Ailene simply gazes upon Shio. She sighs and walks up to the small orb, leaning down and grabbing hold of it. As she holds it in her hand, she feels a presence next to her. A dark tempest that stares at Ailene with purple orbits. She growls softly at the Espada. "Ailene. You've won. You've conquered your foe. Now it is time to enjoy the spoils..." Another soft growl emerges as Ailene's eyes remain fixated on the Soul Pill of the Shio which flickers gently, filling the immediate area with a soft blue hue. "You've earned the right to feast upon her. Eat and grow strong. Accept it. You were created for this life, Ailene. You want to grow strong don't you?"
Continuing to stare at the Soul Pill, Ailene sighs and shakes her head. "I do aim to grow strong...,but not like this. Not through conquest or gluttony. No..." Ailene looked at the blackened figure next to her. "It is conflict that led to the agony experienced here. It is pride that led to Shio being maimed. I will not fall victim to these impulses. I will not grow strong through barbarism and hate. I will do so on my own terms. Now, my shadow. Rest. You are not needed." Another snarl emerged from Ailene's alter ego. With venom in her words, she spoke. "You never learn...you cling to fantasy and delusions, Ailene. You'll see. And one day, you'll accept me."
With those words, the vision of the blackened form slowly faded into nothing more than hazy purple mist. The Espada tightly gripped Shio's Mod Soul pill and picked up the remains of a broken and torn doll. With a gentle motion towards the air before her, Ailene focused her reiatsu. The air itself caved in for a moment as a black maw tore the space asunder. Sighing, Ailene looked at the erpted earth and countless corpses of Hollows caught in the crossfire as the hidden Hollows cautiously watched from a distance. Ailene smiled. "Enjoy the spoils of victory. Feast so you may one day cast aside the hunger that plagues you now." With that, Ailene stepped into the Garganta which promptly shut behind her.
After a few moments of travel, Ailene would come across the bright light that signified the end of the extradimensional space. Stepping out, she'd find herself in her innermost sanctum. With a heavy sigh, she placed the Mod Soul pill of Shio down onto her desk. Scurrying around and getting some supplies, she retrieved string, needles and extra stuffing, setting it all down next to the torn doll. Finally, the Arrancar got her book that she had purchased on doll restoration. Sitting down and looking at the work she had ahead of her, the Espada groaned. Regardless, she'd crack open her book and sigh. "Well Shio...let's hope that my repairs will suffice. I will take as long as I need to..."
