Shiganosuke had woken earlier than he normally would because he knew that he needed to work on becoming stronger, not only for himself but for the whole of the Seireitei and Soul Society. He stretched out slightly before making his bed and meditating, Shiganosuke sat on the floor of his room and slowed his breathing allowing all of his muscles to loosen and imagining that his body and soul were becoming one with the room and everything in it. As he sat on the floor almost in a trance, began thinking of what it meant to be a Shinigami and how he could influence his future. He spent almost an hour meditating on what it meant to be a Shinigami and the feeling of sunlight on his face from the open window was the only thing that brought him out of his meditative trance. Shiganosuke then thought of what his affirmation of the day would be...

Today is the day that you seize the day and become a greater weapon

He began some simple stretches and routines from Sumo, these stretches and routines were ones that he had done every day for as long as he could remember. They were beyond simply being a routine and were more akin to breathing for him, next he would pray and even though he was technically dead he would still pray to the Gods of his life. Shiganosuke was now ready for his day but before getting fully dressed he would look at the brand that affected his abilities to manipulate spiritual energy and was a constant reminder of what pride and ego can do to some people. After getting dressed completely, Shiganosuke would make sure his Zanpakuto and bottle were secure. Before leaving his room Shiganosuke would pack some things for the day as he planned to spend it training as since graduating and officially joining 1st he felt that he had not trained properly in a very long time. Upon leaving his room and heading out of the 1st Squad barracks he had heard a rumor that some Shinigami occasionally head out into the Rukongai to train in some of the less travelled areas.

Shiganosuke had walked like he always did out of the area that was designed as the Seireitei and into the 1st District of Southern Rukongai. He knew this area fairly well with it not only being the closest to the Seireitei but also from participating in some Sumo Tournaments that he helped organize. As he continued to walk around in the district, he would laugh slightly at the looks that he would receive from some of the children and their parents that he would come across. After looking around the district he continued to move further south till he ended up in District 13 of Southern Rukongai. He noticed that there were some Shinigami who were coming from a wooded area in the distance, upon seeing them he knew that his must be one of the areas that he had heard rumors of. As he walked by more Shinigami, he could hear some of the residents talking about what was going on and upon getting closer two old men were talking about the area...

ya know, I know that they come and patrol and what not but you'd think they would have some better place to go instead of our woods

Now, Now Taka you know the deal we made with them, they're not taking over the woods but paying us to use. I don't hear you complain about getting their money now do ya?

Upon hearing that part of the two old men's conversation Shiganosuke knew that he must have officially found one of these rumored training spots and upon getting closer he could hear what sounded like fighting coming from inside of the wooded area that stood before him. As Shiganosuke attempted to enter the woods he heard a voice from inside the woods and then a man appeared...

Hey there big guy, what do you think you're doing? don't you know that there is some serious fighting going on inside here?

Shiganosuke looked down at the man that stood in front of him, usually he would receive an odd look due to his size but the man in front of him wasn't even fazed by him being there.

Yes, I do know that. I had heard a rumor that some Shinigami set up random training areas in the Districts of Rukongai, I assume that I have found one of these spots correct?

ya know you're pretty astute for a giant, yeah this is one those spots. Since its your first time here I assume that you are pretty green so i'll give you this colored armband and then you just walk into those woods and someone with a similar one will find you. Pretty easy right?

The Shinigami in front of him helped secure a green armband on to Shiganosuke's massive arm and motioned for him to walk into the woods. Shiganosuke walked carefully into the woods, he could see what looked like the glint of swords clashing and the sounds of fists and feet making contact. He walked further into the woods and found a small clearing, this was the spot where he would wait and hopefully someone would come so that he could test himself.

[Taiyo]

Taiyo had spent the last few days practicing, studying and of course training as best he could over the last few days. Yet this did not satisfy his desire for improvement, not until a student was over heard whispering about a training area for shinigami. They spoke of its location in the Rukongai and how it was in the south. That was nearly 2 days ago now, and Taiyo had found the spot. Though not by some chance however, as he had purposely followed shinigami to this very spot. His desire to learn only stopped by his need or rather... intense desire for a nap. He had of course taken two days to do this because of that very reason to sleep when he could have been working on finding this place.

Yet he didn't regret his decision even in the slightest, as he came to be greeted by the individuals who would give him an arm band. They of course took note of his academy outfit and despite his nervousness decided to give him a chance... Yet he couldn't fight without a weapon of course and so they gave him a rusty old odachi. It wasn't to badly rusted, the blade was still MOSTLY intact, but it wasn't like  it was going to hold up against a proper Zanpakuto should he meet a strong shinigami. This made him sweat a little but ultimately he decided to give it a shot. Given a green arm band, Taiyo was patted on the back before wished good luck in a condescending way, but Taiyo didn't notice.

Instead simply waving good bye and half jogging into the woods with his rusty Odachi. Frankly... and very very surprisingly he was excited. Which was quickly washed away when he heard the clanking of swords against swords. This made him stop dead in his tracks where he would stare into the distance despite not being able to see anyone. His ears hearing the cling of swords which echoed through the woods. Sweat formed on his brow and cheeks as he felt his nerves getting the better of him. Fear gripped his heart like a vice and he was... terrified. How could he not be now that he thought about it. His sword shook in his hands audibly. It was clear fear was in him, and he stood immobile for a long time.

Even as he took hold of his arm to try to calm himself down, how could he possible measure up to people who were actually fighters? Perhaps this wasn't a good idea... and upon turning around to run he found he was lost. In his excitement, Taiyo had picked up his pace and darted into the forest at a pretty quick speed... Which meant he now had no idea which way to go. If he did a one eighty surely he would be going the right way right? But... he wasn't sure which way he was originally facing. Even more sweat formed on his face and body as he began to panic. What if a real swordsman tried to challenge him? What would happen then? 

Taiyo did the only thing he could think of, and that was to run as fast as he could. His feet carrying him quickly as he dashed through the woods like a man possessed, accidently running between fighters and knocking them over mid battle without noticing, to actually smacking into a shinigami only to tumble the poor fellow over and knocking him out cold though he did shout an apology as he did so. Yet no way lead to out, no matter how much he turned and twisted this way or that. It wasn't until finally he hit a bush AND... smacked into a tree at full speed. His body tensing up just at the right time to avoid taking major damage but he did fall over onto his bottom. There he would rub his face that had turned red from his run in, a bloody nose a just reward for his reckless running. 

Thankfully he still held his sword, but... unfortunately when he looked up he saw the giant Akashi... who also had an arm band of green on. Taiyo's face suddenly going pale as he realized who he had just run into and he felt his heart stop. Eyes unfocusing and fear etched into his features as he froze like a deer in headlights... unsure what to do.

[Arantima Kawada]

Arantima was standing in the center ring of the Training ground, His arm band was Golden with a Black phoenix on it. The opponent he was standing against wielding a gigantic Dadao and was a massive mountain of muscles. Arantima looked up at the man who just grinned and seemed far more confident than he might should given his current situation. Arantima's gaze was quickly taken by subtle commotion that was caused by Taiyo as they ran through the Grounds.

Arantima's opponent sneered as he took this for a lapse in concentration and rushed Tima with a horrifying slash that looked like it was about to slice the shinigami clean in half.  Arantima didn't take his eyes off of Taiyo as his arm shot forward and gripped the Blade of the Dadao. Arantima's gaze didnt shift at all as he stepped in towards the Mountain of a man and threw.. What looked to be the absolute weakest punch that was possible but there was a soft word that was barely uttered.

"Sho" The punch did not even collide with his opponent and yet they were punched so hard in their stomach that they doubled over and dropped their Dadao. Arantima threw the Dadao aside and spun a swift kick to the Mountain mans temple, driving his sandal into it and the mans head into the ground. The overall strength of the blow was not hard but it was enough to show the Man his place and to teach him to never be arrogant or cocky in a fight against a foe you should respect.

Arantima Clapped his hands and bowed towards the man before he Shunpo'd off towards Taiyo. He shimmered into sight standing just a few meters to the side of Taiyo and Akashi. He was not the tallest among them but he was an imposing figure at Well over Six feet tall and staring with eyes that were Slate grey with golden edges that seemed to flicker like a golden fire light was behind frosted glass. He was dressed in a very non standard shihaksho and wore Golden adornments on his hands that denoted his Status as a Noble.

His gaze was heavy but it was not a condescending one in the slightest.. it was Appraising and thoughtful. He looked between the two, one was a Giant of a man and the other.. Had a Terrible looking sword, but that was no judgement on them. "You two. Names and rank. If you please, I am Arantima Kawada, Vice captain of Squad 10 and Head of the Kawada Noble house.. I am heading this training area for the day." He does not seem to even be wearing his Zanpakuto and is completely unarmed.

But his Mastery over shunpo was clear in that he had just stepped across the entire distance that Taiyo had crossed with a single step. He looked over Akashi and then Taiyo and offerred Taiyo a hand to help them stand up. If Taiyo took the hand or not he would look the man over and give them a warm smile "I will handle your training today here.. Both of you, as a welcome to the Seireitei at large.. I am the weakest shinigami, but I will promise to give the both of you a lesson you will never forget."

1870/1870 Reatsu

Shiganosuke was caught slightly off guard by what sounded like the something hitting a tree nearby and then a voice that he had never heard before which was not that much of a surprise considering his relatively new career as a Shinigami. As he looked closer he could make out the shape of a man he had met before in a more relaxed enviroment and the other person definitely looked well off and though he had limited exposure to the Noble Families, the Shinigami definitely had an air about them plus their dress. The declaration of not only being a Noble but also a Vice-Captain was enough for Shiganosuke to know that he needed to take whatever happened next seriously. Shiganosuke stepped forward and bowed toward the two Shinigami, taking a moment longer on the Vice-Captain and then spoke up...

My name is Akashi, Shiganosuke. I am a fairly recent graduate from the Academy and an unseated officer of 1st Division. It is an honor and a privilege to work with you today and it is nice to see you again Taiyo

Shiganosuke looked at the two Shinigami and moved his things that he had brought with him to the side of the clearing. He took up a position at the edge of the clearing facing the two Shinigami and moved into a drawing stance with his hand on his Zanpakuto. He knew that at his current skill level and with the fact that one of the Shinigami was a Vice Captain that this would not be an easy training session, plus Taiyo was a complete wild card as Shiganosuke had seen several members of his class be outright monsters in a fight. There was growing feeling of excitement and anticipation to the training prospective.

I am ready when you are Sir and Taiyo too

[Taiyo]

Taiyo didn't know what to make of this situation he had gotten himself into, as he didn't see the man approach which only made Taiyo panic even more in his head. How was this going to turn out?! True he could simply just run away but what good would that do him? His thoughts going back to Kaen, knowing he could never back down from the goal he set himself. But he was freaking out in his head, sweat beading his face as he took the man's hand to help himself stand up and bowed low. He couldn't speak because his lungs felt like they were made of stone, Taiyo's eyes staring down at the ground. He was then told he was going to be teaching them and Taiyo could only respond with a rather loud but clearly nervous...

"Thank you very much!"

He would raise his head to look at Akashi with a smile, thought it was lopsided with nervousness and just looked dumb.

H-Hello! Hopefully we c-can train together w-well!"

With that Taiyo would gently place his sword against the tree, unsure if they would be using the sword or not. He didn't know what sort of training this man was going to give them but hopefully it wasn't anything to hard. He didn't know if he was capable of doing anything to fancy, after all he was a complete novice in most things. Yet he wasn't going to simply give up despite the fear that was gripping his heart like a cold iron vice, shackling his nerves in a sluggish manner. He was visibly shaking, arms barely able to to stay still and his knees were shaking like a branch in high winds. Taiyo was not a warrior at heart, he was a gentle soul who didn't want to hurt others... He felt bad for even considering it! But... he needed to grow stronger.

So as the Shinigami stood up straight, arms at his sides, he looked like a statue rather than a person. Sweat lined his face as his fears tore at his psych, but he remained steadfast, not giving an inch as he waited for his first teaching... Which looked silly given he was only being taught and not like he was being drilled in the military. But even so... Taiyo was ready!

[Arantima Kawada]

Arantima looked between the pair and smi8led once before he looked around for a clear spot for them to take up. He Ushered the pair over to a nice wide spot between two large trees and Clapped his hands together. The sound that was made from the clap was un-naturally loud but soon after there was an intense rushing of air as the Gravitational pressure rushed outwards from Arantima's body but instead of crushing anyone in the are it instead formed itself into four Swords that hovered in the air before them all, Arantima took hold of two of them and pointed to the pair of shinigami.

"Take one of these blades, both of you. They are made from my Own Pressurized Gravitation and as such will not Allow you to suffer the effects of Cutback should one of you be spiritually stronger than the other. Think of these not like wooden training swords.. because they can cut flesh and sever bone in the proper hands." Arantima Holds his own blades with a comfort and ease that few could say was equaled on this training ground. Arantima stood between the pair of Shinigami holding one of his own blades along his back pointed straight into the air and the other was angled down in-front of himself pointing to the ground.

He Looked between the pair and with his calming and yet somehow stern gaze moved between the pair of them. He looked at Taiyo and in his minds eye he could instantly see the Shinigami was more nervous than any shinigami he had ever seen..  There was something about him that he was either trying to hide.. or running from. Arantima smirked as he finished looking at Taiyo, that would be a hard lesson for the man to learn but Arantima would break him out of his shell sooner or later.

He then shifted his gaze towards the larger man. There was something about him and the way he held himself that was strange, he looked like a man that could crush a skull easily but also someone who was wary of something.. Arantima would have to figure out what that was. "The first and most absolute lesson you need to learn before you get out of the Academy.. is Versatility in Focus. Versatility due to spreading your skill set thin will cripple you later in life and it is better to Focus on one or two things and in so doing Force versatility out of those focuses."

He raised his left leg and uttered the word "Sho" and as he did, the Hado did not fire out of his palm as it should have. It instead fired from his foot and raised him into the air as he stepped up and he continued to do this for Three more steps up before he kicked to the side and Did it a fourth time to move his position in the air. He Landed gently and looked to the Two shinigami gathered by himself. He Then proceeded to Flip and fold the Swords in his hands around his arms as if they were made of water, akin to someone using Contact jugling swords before grabbing them once again.

"Weapons, Hado, Kido.. Are all just extensions of ourself.. Our own soul. It is the same with our Zanpakuto. They are not strangers they are part of you. They know more as they have been part of the world outside of you and should be listened to and allowed to guide.. But likewise we must guide them in this world as their wielders. Fear not the man who has wielded a thousand weapons.. Fear the man who has wielded the same weapon a thousand times." He goes back to his stance, with the blade behind himself and the one pointing forward. "Come now.. Show me where I am starting with you both. Attack me at the same time, otherwise it wont be fun for any of us" There was a hint of cheek to his voice that seemed like it was meant to poke at their pride.

     The sudden appearance of the weapon before him and how it was created caught Shiganosuke off guard. He relaxed and placed his Zanpakuto down on against the tree like you would if helping a friend sit. He reached out and took the sword, it had the weight and feel of an actual sword but was obviously different. Shiganosuke looked at the blade, then to the Vice-Captain listening as the Vice-Captain spoke. This training was seeming to be reminiscent of training that he had received in Sumo and at the Academy but with obvious differences, these weapons were dangerous but still a tool and a tool is only as dangerous as the wielder allowed.

Remember stay calm, take your time, set your pace

    Shiganosuke watched as the Vice-Captain used unconventional means to move around the area and Shiganosuke was truly impressed as they were taught very traditional means of movement and combat. There was a slight sting in the words that the Vice-Captain spoke to them as he stood posed for the fight to begin. Shiganosuke looked to Taiyo and nodded before moving into a stance, he moved the blade up and parallel to his eyes with the tip facing the Vice-Captain. He looked to Taiyo again before facing the Vice-Captain and speaking...

Well Sir, I hope that we can put up a good show and make things amusing for you. Taiyo lets go

Shiganosuke lunged forward toward the Vice-Captain, hoping that Taiyo was close behind his attack and thrust the blade toward him with an upward slash.

[Taiyo]

Taiyo watched the man as he held his hands up, clearly up to something but he was not sure what. Yet in that single moment, he was both stunned, both figuratively and literally by the sound from the clap. Closing his eyes to try to ward the sound off while cupping his ears with his hands which was utterly ineffective given the sound had already came and gone. Yet when he looked up he was surprised to see two blades, both of which seemed to be created from some sort of ability. This was immensely impressive to Taiyo as he didn't even know such a thing was possible! How did he make them? Did he just poof them into existence? Or was there some sort of trick to it all?

Regardless of the answers, Taiyo would take hold of the blade and hold it up to examine it. He knew nothing about blades so it was just him looking at it curiously. This was only brief as he couldn't really look for anything interesting in them besides they felt... different than a normal blade. Beyond that it was like any other sword he had seen, though perhaps slightly different in design. The Vice-captain Arantima then went on to talk about the cutback effect, to which Taiyo actually knew about! A tingle of pride in his chest to ACTUALLY understand something for once! Yet that pride was quickly and very swiftly replaced with dread... The thought of hurting another still upset him... but thanks to Kaen's training it wasn't AS bad as it use to be.

Next the Vice-captain Arantima would go on to show a very interesting thing, something that made Taiyo realize he had a lot to learn... despite having a lot... to well learn. He was shown the kido spell known as Sho, but it was used instead of attacking to propel the man into the air as if he was stepping up stairs. Upon landing, he then demonstrated his skills with his swords. Taiyo could definitely tell that this man was indeed skilled, even as a complete amateur... So this was what a Vice-captain was capable of... Some part of Taiyo was kind of eager to put himself up against him just to see what would happen. He hoped the Vice-captain wouldn't be willing to use lethal force on them... That was a scary thought.

He then prompted Akashi and Taiyo to attack him at the same time, something that made Taiyo sweat a little more as he looked side long at Akashi. The big man was not discouraged it seemed, so who was he to turn down such an invitation to learn.

"W-Well Arantima-san... If you say so. Akashi, I'll try my best but... I'm still a bit green in combat so... forgive me. I'll try my best however! HAAAAA!"

Taiyo would indeed follow behind Akashi, the man using his smaller stature to get behind the larger man and hopefully obscure his vision. He figured if he could keep his attacks hidden from Arantima, he might actually be able to land a sneaky blow. Not a dirty trick, but one he hoped would gain them a small leverage in this up hill battle. Taiyo would follow Akashi's upwards slash with a horizontal slash from the large man's left side by side stepping really quickly and swinging his blade. The only downside to this is... Taiyo was used to Odachi's and their length... So the blade he was using would ultimately come up short by just a few inches making Taiyo's eyes go wide that he had missed.

[Arantima Kawada]

Arantima took a soft breath as he watched the Two attackers confer a moment before they began their relatively basic assault. He reached in deftly to touch the assaulting blade of Akashi but as soon as he felt the overwhelming strength behind the strike he instead nodded and stepped deftly to the inside of the strike, which is what caused that distance that Taiyo had not yet accounted for in his strike to miss Arantima. Arantima's eyes did not miss what had narrowly missed him but he knew that the Speed of Taiyo was going to be a problem but the lack of a defined skill base behind it would give him some openings.

As the Blade that Akashi had tried to strike Arantima slid down and scraped against the blade Arantima was holding against it in a prolonged parry Arantima's free hand brought up the Blunt edge of the blade to tap Akashi's ribs gently once but as he did he also spoke the word "Sho!" and the Pressure wave flew up and out of the bottom of the foot he brought in towards the mans Knee. The Sho blast went directly away from AKashi's Knee but had it impacted it would have likely brought the man down to his knees with ease.

He Takes a moment for that to sink in and then Twirls away from the pair with a Gentle Nod of his head, rolling his shoulders and Shaking his head gently "The Groups they are pushing through the Academy these days.. Far stronger than they were in the past but this is.. I suppose a good thing. you might likely get by via overwhelming force rather than raw skill. However that is not good enough.. For me To Train you both properly I will need a bit more of my Strength. You two are quite strong, and Taiyo is Quite fast, Let us see if you both can use this to your advantage when I step up to your level. Heion to heiwa, yasurakana mewosamasu"

Arantima Discards the swords he was holding by throwing them into one of the trees nearby. As the words are spoken a soft golden shimmer begins to flow towards his flesh before His body erupts across with Golden scales. His Flesh turns Solid Gold and shimmering before Golden scales sprout out from it. His eyes as he blinks are at one moment normal but the next moment they are serpentine and Golden burning with fire behind them. As he lands his hair clinks against his golden skin and shows itself to be made of golden wire, and as he lands there is the sound of 5 other bodies landing in swift succession after the first.

He Moves his arms To Hold his knuckles together in the center of his chest, followed by a second set of arms holding a cupped hand below his navel and a vertical hand above that. A Third Set of Arms places its right hand outstretched to the right palm facing outward mirrored by its left, and a fourth set of arms Does the same only Pointing the Right hand higher at an angle with the left lower at an opposite angle. The fifth and last set of Arms Does the opposite with the left arm pointing at a high angle and the Right pointing at a low angle. The Arms each reform into a single body that stands before them.

"I am no normal soul reaper. As I said i am the weakest Shinigami. My Power is Tied entirely to my Shikai release, but to do so against Academy students would be too much. So I have Achieved a Soul bind. A Lesser release that gives me a small amount of my strength. Let us see How it measures up to you both." Arantima does not move.. He Stands completely Still but a hand shifts up from his chest that reaches out forward towards the pair and beckons them forward once more.

He Shifts his stance to a slightly wider one, the 5 shadows move in stair stepped succession behind the initial motion. He Looked like a Creature and less of a shinigami and Arantima seemed to eb aware of this fact as he looked over at Taiyo "I hope you find this.. Monstrous form more easy to assault.. perhaps you will find your follow through a bit more confident." He smiled at Taiyo once again,a bit more broadly this time showing off the Dragonlike razor fangs that now lined his mouth and shook his head side to side to let the golden wire that was now his hair to clink gently against his golden scaled metal skin.

    Shiganosuke cursed himself as he felt the wave hit his knees and knocking him down, He had hoped that Taiyo would have left a mark but it seemed at this point that Taiyo was incredibly quick and Shiganosuke hoped that he had some tricks up his sleeve. While kneeling on the ground he had wished he could use Kido better as he had always been physically strong and before his cursing he might have kept his distance, but now he had to use what he could especially against the Vice-Captain. He took a moment to catch his breath and try to plan out a new method of attack and while half kneeling on the ground, the Vice-Captain revealed an ability that he knew very little about. Shiganosuke watched as the Vice-Captain turned into a golden being in front of his eyes. The ability was impressive and as the Vice-Captain spoke, Shiganosuke was shocked that he was considered himself to be the weakest Shinigami. He stood up and with his free hand dusted himself off, Shiganosuke slowly walked toward Taiyo but keeping his distance to not give the Vice-Captain a free shot to take them both out. Shiganosuke knew that this was simply a training exercise but was still taken by surprise at the sudden change and began thinking to himself.

This is not a basic ability or skill; I must be careful and also I need to think about Taiyo as well. I am sure that this Vice-Captain wouldn't purposefully hurt or disable us but still this ability of his is unknown to me.

    Shiganosuke slowly moved into a basic stance, moving his blade forward and blading his body as a way to minimize his possible hit zones. He would move his feet almost into a T shape and to be about shoulder width apart, moving his left foot forward and his right in the back. This would be enough to limit attacking to a straight line for a similarly skilled opponent but with the Vice-Captain it may only be a slight stop gap measure in this training exercise. It was obvious that this exercise would not end in a simple strength versus strength fight but Shiganosuke had a slight handicap as well. It took him only a few moments to think about what do or say before speaking up.

Sir, you may consider yourself to be the weakest Shinigami and that your power is tied to your Shikai Release but it seems since you felt the need to tell us this i'll share a secret with you and Taiyo as well.

Shiganosuke relaxed slightly and pulled the shirt he wore under his robes down revealing some of his tattoos and the painful looking brands on him. He covered his chest back up and moved back into his stance, he looked down and took a breath before facing the Vice-Captain and spoke up again.

My secret is that I am not able to effectively use or manipulate spiritual energy. This means Hoho and Kido are not pleasant to use, the brands on my chest are what interfere with this.

He looked to Taiyo and nods slightly before looking back to the Vice-Captain and putting all of his strength into a lunge with an overhead slash, using the momentum of the slash to move him into a spinning horizontal slash.

[Taiyo]

Taiyo was glad he had missed his opponent, because he didn't want to hurt anyone. Yet he also knew he couldn't win a fight by not hurting someone. It was a fine to strike with wooden swords but this were real. He had to fight pass the urge to run, to flee from this conflict at a moments notice. Taiyo got back into his basic stance as he watched his opponent carefully, cursing himself for feeling grateful. Yet all that was washed away in the next coming moments. The vice-captain Arantima-san then complimented them on being quite strong which made Taiyo feel a chill up his spine rather than a sense of joy. It wasn't that Arantima seemed like a bad guy... but the way he stated that meant he wasn't just going to keep going at this pace. 

True to Taiyo's gut feeling, he watched the Vice-captain throw his swords into a nearby tree after changing some sort of weird incantation. It was then that he began to change his form into some sort of golden form with multiple arms. His skin was suddenly covered in golden scales, or what Taiyo believed to be scales at least. He also changed his eyes and teeth... this made Taiyo's whole body shiver in fear at the sight as he tried to act brave, but his arms were trembling and knees shaking. What the hell did he get himself into?! He was just an academy student who got in over his head and was now facing a vice captain in this monster form! AGH! It was terrifying for him!

"Oh no... Akashi did you really have to be so strong to force the vice-captain to transform?! Couldn't you have held back a little bit?! NOW LOOK AT HIM!"

Taiyo sniffled as tears of fear streamed down his face, clearly terrified of what they were facing. His whole body felt like it was going to rattle apart. This was like going from some sort of normal enemy to the final boss in a game or something! They then went on to confess their weaknesses, which made Taiyo just feel even more inadequate because he wasn't well trained enough to even KNOW what his weaknesses were! He truly was the third wheel of this whole conversation! 

"I'm... just not good at much of anything."

Taiyo stated, feeling like he should at least add something to the conversation. But to see this two monsters square up was like watching a kaiju film in person! Akashi was huge and Vice-captain Arantima-san looked like some sort of final boss! His kids had showed him what a video game was once or twice and that was for sure a final boss! Yet despite the flood of overwhelming fear, Taiyo remained rooted in his spot. He couldn't fight Arantima-san, so hopefully Akashi was strong enough to keep him safe from harm! How did it come to this!?

[Arantima Kawada]

Arantima Smirked as Akashi made his first assault and lifted his own hand up to collide with the Pressurised blade. He didn't speak but the Blade just, stopped as if it had hit a literal solid Golden statue. There was suddenly Not one, not two but Four strikes coming At Akashi. The Four strikes were Two hooking legs one aimed at his ankle from the left and one aimed at his knee from the right which would be a horrible wrenching motion if they connected.

The other two attacks were coming in as Crushing Downward Punches aimed to either smash him further into the ground if the Hook kicks landed or take out both of Akashi's clavicles. Then The fifth Strike came Stepping Forward as if The 5th Shadow had anticipated A backwards retreat and it Slammed forward with a single flat palm gauged to Take Akashi directly in the chest.This Fifth Strike would likely catch Akashi before any of the others did.

If he did not or was unable to defend against it due to avoiding the other assaults on his person the moment he was struck by the blow there would be a soft hissing as Gravitational pressure built around the impact site and Akashi''s Massive form would suddenly be launched backwards, spiraling through the air. He Would then Turn Towards Taiyo and all of the shadows would coalesce back into a singular stance. "You, are far too frightened to have moved as fast as you just had Taiyo. You know nothing of your potential, but Do not get frightened. To know victory you must first defeat yourself. Fear is natural, bravery is standing before your fear and saying No I will not run from you this day."

Arantima then Looked towards Taiyo and stood in a comfortable and light looking stance putting his hands out to either side in a tai-chi esque yin-yang style and then there were more hands joining the formation looking like a Multi-armed Golden statue preparing for an assault of some kind. The stance was strange but it would be reminiscent of a dragon holding a yin and Yang orb over its shoulder, as if it was shouldering the burden of good and evil.

    It seemed like everything had slowed down in Shiganosuke's head as the Vice-Captain countered his attack, The hook kick to his ankle would've taken him off balance had he not been planted but the one to his knee connected. As Shiganosuke hit the ground, he let go of the blade his body bouncing up just enough to get hit by the remaining attacks from the Vice-Captain. His body bounced and rolled as he came into contact with a tree, laying there on the ground he was surprised by how much force had been exerted onto his body and simply looked at the Vice-Captain and coughed trying to catch his breath. Shiganosuke was no stranger to rough training and pain was not unfamiliar to him, but this interaction was proving just how outclassed he was, during his time in the Academy his physical strength had propelled him far, but this was not a class, and this was a Vice-Captain. As the Vice-Captain turned his attention to Taiyo, Shiganosuke saw his Zanpakuto laying just in reach grabbing it he used it to help prop himself up. Looking down at his blade and feeling where the blows had struck Shiganosuke thinks to himself

Thank you my friend, if only I could use your power.... our power. I seem to have made a foolish mistake, look at your opponent and think. This rushing in is not helping and it seems that in a direct, head-to-head fight I'll always lose at least with our power differences. I might have to do something that I won't like

Shiganosuke was catching his breath and trying to steady himself for his next course of action. He felt that he had been pushed to a point where it was necessary for him to use a tool that he was hesitant to use as he has an adverse reaction to using. Shiganosuke took several deep breaths feeling a pain in his chest from the strikes he had received. He hoped that his next course of action would help buy Taiyo some time, but he wasn't sure how effective it'll be. Shiganosuke carefully lifts his right hand up, pointing it toward the Vice-Captain knowing fully well that he wouldn't be able to do it again without some pain.

As the words left his mouth a searing pain shot through his body, it took everything for him to hold his arm up as a rope of Reishi flew toward the Vice-Captain.

[Taiyo]

Taiyo watched as Akashi was hit multiple times, being struck only to fall a bit away from him. This left Taiyo feeling inadequate more than before, because as he was standing there doing nothing... someone was fighting right in front of him but he wasn't helping. He felt... frustrated with himself more than before. He was frightened of a vice captain, rightfully so but to see Akashi trying his best really did light a fire under Taiyo so to speak. When Vice captain Arantima-san spoke however, Taiyo listened with full attention. He didn't believe Arantima though, how could he believe in himself? He was just another academy student who couldn't even hold a sword up right.  

Yet he wasn't going to simply stand around while Akashi did all the work, even if Taiyo's instincts were telling him to surrender he refused to! Even if this was training, he wasn't going to leave Akashi to face this man alone. They needed to work together as best they could... even if Taiyo had no idea how to work with someone else. He could learn from this plus... Arantima seemed to be going easy on them. It wasn't like he was going to get killed if he failed so the fear Taiyo felt was unwarranted at least! As Akashi's attack came at Arantima, Taiyo would raise his blade over his head before bringing it down toward his foe in an overhead swing in hopes of helping even a little bit.

In truth, Taiyo hoped this sword wouldn't hurt Arantima-san very much, and in his heart he wanted to trust this wasn't going to hurt anyone in the long run.

[Arantima Kawada]

Arantima Smiled as Taiyo's eyes went behind Him and Knew that something was occuring behind himself. He was focused on taiyo however and Nodded once as he Moved in to strike at himself. As The rope Wrapped itself around Arantima's body He tilted his head gently as he turned to Look at Akashi and chuckled as An arm Shunted out of the back of his head and Tapped the center of Taiyo's Blade Stopping it Dead in its tracks. His hand then Wraps around the blade and Begins to crush it in his grasp. The Pressurised Gravitation blades them Dissolve into nothing as Several sets of hands erupt out from his body as Arantima begins to clap for the pair.

The clapping continues, always just a half beat behind itself as it sounds like a small crowd clapping for them. He Looks between Taiyo and Akashi and Waves Akashi to Come back over and Join himself and Taiyo. "Come on back over here Akashi. You both did well in that assessment. Exactly what I wanted to see from the both of you." He Looked between the two once Akashi was back over near him and he sat down, crossing his legs and inviting them both to sit down with him.

"Akashi, You stepped out of your own comfort zone in order to do whatever you could to try and help your partner. And Taiyo, You attacked, even though you felt defeated.. That is the kind of determination that is required. You might feel like my Claim of the weakest shinigami is a Farce.. but You will see that in time, when this form is completed that it takes its toll on my body.  To Bridge the gap between myself and you two I must injure myself and my Soul."

"When this form is complete.. I would be required to release my Zanpakuto To Grow into a force that was capable of training with you, but that would be far too much as my Release is Akin to a Bankai. My Body without the power of my Zanpakuto is Brittle and weak. And so I focus on teaching people from a stance of weakness. Understanding what it is to feel powerless and then become a Crushing force is a perspective that few have.. And one I hope to Hand down to those I teach." He Smiles and Waves his hand and soon after some tea and bread is brought over for the trio by an assistant bearing the crest of House kawada.

"Always fight as if you are on the back foot, Think Five steps ahead and do your best to Adapt. If you can force the battle into a place where you are controlling the flow do not get complacent, Fight harder, not like you just turned the tide for yourself but as if the tide was just turned against you. Do not relent.. Do not get comfortable. the moment that you get the upper hand you need to imagine that you just stepped into a trap." He Takes a long drag of tea from his cup and one of the other hands reaches down and begin to break the bread into nibble sized chunks.
