Training for CTP

Arantima had been away for far too long.. He had been thought dead by many, or missing even by those most hopeful for his return. He was now back, and his body had once again change, but not so drastically this time. There had been time plenty for the scars of his past to fade and for his aesthetic to change as well. He wore a more regal set of robes now and on the right breast of his robe there was the Sigil of the Kawada family. He held his old Vice captain badge however it was not worn in any fashion. He held it in its Decorative box on the pillow with both hands as he walked out to the training grounds where he was told that the current Captain of Squad 10 Would be.

He Moved out into the center of the space and a few of the older members of the unseated corps of Squad ten gasped as they saw him step into the center of the training grounds and set the box with the badge down on the ground and kneel before it. He set the box down with respect and smoothed out everything before himself as he sat there with his eyes cast down to the Badge for several minutes before looking up at all of those around him that were whispering on the edges of the training grounds. He did not smile, h did not sneer.. He simply watched them each with a weathered stare that was knowing and understanding of their suspicions and had known before he stepped foot back in the Seireitei that he would cause somewhat of a stir.

He Looked at the crowd of training shinigami and Looked around for the captain who he had hoped would be wearing their Shihaksho and White robe for identification but even if he did not see it he would stand, it was a slow and deliberate movement that was joined with a simple clasp of his robes shoulders to shrug it off of himself and was followed by the golden accented gloves her wore being removed and set down atop the Robe after it was folded prettily and formally beside the Lieutenants badge. He flexed every muscle in his body and moved through several basic Hakuda Kata. He Moved slowly and deliberately with each motion which caused several flinches from the Shinigami watching on the sidelines.

He finalized the motions as he Called out across the Training grounds "Captain of Squad 10! I am Arantima Kawada, Previously Arantima Aoire. I Once held the Vice captains seat in this squad and have come to claim it back.. However.. My honor will not allow me to simply step into the seat, I must prove myself to you in battle as I did with Hotaru Kuchiki when she was captain of this squad." He knelt once more infront of his badge and waited for The Captain to approach where he was now, waiting with respect and a small bit of trepidation.

Crack! Tch! Bang! The clashing of steel rang loudly throughout room. "Hyahh!" Yet another clash as another Shinigami erupted from the sparring. Another voice raised above the duel going on between the two Shinigami. "Get him Mugen!" Cheers erupted throughout the crowds as Mugen immediately dived in for an attack. A vertical slash that rose up, threatening to strike at his chin. The Shinigami who would be thought to be at the mercy of Mugen then disappeared from sight. Mugen had hit nothing but air as he smirked somewhat, looking behind him. There he stood, standing at the ready. It seemed that this would continue a bit further.

From the sidelines, among the groups of cheering Shinigami, Celes simply nodded. She smiled and continued to watch the members of the Tenth Division spar. It always brought joy to her heart. To witness the members of her division train like this reminded her of the past. A time when she wanted to do nothing more than spar others. To test their capabilities and find her own limitations. To be an honorable warrior. There was nothing else on Celes' mind then. Captaincy certainly taught her temperance as did a number of fights in the past. The mission to execute Camila...her fight with Orobas...the humiliation that was her fight with Valentin.

All of these little incidents either humbled or curbed her zeal. Though she was certainly interested to see how officers would flourish. Each showed remarkable potential, but some were certainly more eager than others. Celes sighed as she continued to watch. Her thoughts began to race. "Well...it seems like Hayato and Mugen are quite capable of handling their own..Yet..." Celes gave a mental sigh as she continued pondering on this. "Mugen is certainly more popular...The first to make an attack. Taking initiative like this is certainly good to see.." Despite her positive feelings on the situation, Celes knew how this would cloud his judgement in the future. Celes was also young and inexperienced once after all.

Though just as Celes was ready to watch more of the fight, the group suddenly stopped in their tracks. Each of them could hear a voice call something out. "Captain of Squad 10! I am Arantima Kawada, Previously Arantima Aoire. I Once held the Vice captains seat in this squad and have come to claim it back.. However.. My honor will not allow me to simply step into the seat, I must prove myself to you in battle as I did with Hotaru Kuchiki when she was captain of this squad." Everyone who heard it simply stood still, paralyzed. Everyone in the barracks suddenly looked at Celes. The Captain herself was quite perplexed. She had heard rumors of the Vice Captaincy of the Tenth Division being claimed one day, but this was far fom expected. Could this be the guy?

Celes sighed. Her officers watched her eagerly as Celes began to walk towards the doors to see this prospective Vice Captain. As she continued to walk, Celes had to admit that there was an excitement swirling about her. If he truly was the former Vice Captain...then he had to be strong right? He had a strong sense of honor as well. Or it could be inferred based on his actions to date. The Captain chuckled as with a simple motion, the doors swung open. Standing at the entrance, wearing her Captain's Haori with the emblem of the Tenth Division, Celes looked upon Arantima. Her officers tried to look past her and over her shoulders in an attempt to see what was going on.

As Celes watched him kneel, the Shinigami chuckled. He seemed built rather well. Tall as well. This would be interesting. Celes began to approach closer, walking down the steps. "Arantima Kawada is it? First, allow me to give you our sincerest welcome as the Tenth Division. It is certainly an honor to meet the former Vice Captain of the Tenth." She smiled and paused for a moment. Was he truly prepared to test his skills? "You aim to prove yourself to me though it would be prudent to discuss the terms of this challenge. I've spared with other Shinigami in other Squads before or even my own Division though yours is the first to be so...interesting. That being said, are there any requests that you have in this engagement?" Celes chuckled, eager to hear how this Arantima would respond.

Arantima Looks up towards the Captain of Squad ten and his eyes are.. Piercing to say the least, they give off a radiance of gold behind the grey iris that is like looking at a firelight behind frosted glass. His entire being is one of stoic duty and as he stands he does so without ever moving his hands from his lap. He Stretches his arms up his body as he takes in a gentle breath and a few of the Older unseated officers of the Squad move.. not backwards from him, but they shuffle subtly off towards the sides, moving out of a large column-like area directly in front of Tima. He brings his hands back in front if himself at his chest, a Fist placed in the palm of a flat hand.

He bows slightly at the hip and extends the fist and palm just a few inches out, as it a proper method of showing respect to your betters. "Only that you pay close attention to all that I am so that you may know how best to utilize me. What I am about to say to you may cause you to distrust me, or you may laugh it off as a Simple joke. But I am in all Manners The Weakest Shinigami in all of the Gotei 13. An Academy Student fresh from the Class May well yet be as capable as I am now standing before you, however unrefined as their motions and skill may be compared to my own." He comes up to stand straight from his bowing stance and Glances around at the shinigami behind Celes not recognizing many of them.

He Looks back to Celes and nods once more before continuing "My Zanpakuto is unique.. It Seals away My own power and when I release my Shikai the Gap that I close is vast. I Am now Sealed, a Dragon that is sleeping. When I release my Shikai you shall meet my Zanpakuto Spirit Tenryu Satsujin. He Takes over my body when released, and in exchange for this My Release is Fully Formed, I require no Bankai training to attain the full power of my Zanpakuto, and Tenryu Satsujin has no power sealed behind that level of release. So my Request, is that You fight me however you feel is required to test me but do not feel as if Releasing your Bankai is going too far. But Before that.. "

Arantima puts his hand on the hilt of his Zanpakuto and Draws the Silver-white blade from its scabbard, but to do so he has to pull both the blade from the scabbard and the scabbard away from the blade.The Blade is Over six feet in length, just a hair longer than Arantima is tall and it is flawless.. The Handle of the Blade is ornate and jeweled, with a Dragon motif to it that makes it iconic just by the pommel alone. The pommel now being mentioned clasps a large Gemstone in a dragons claw that is about the size of an eyeball, made of Opal that shines with a rainbow of colors in the light of the day.

While the blade is a silvery white, it is matte and does not reflect much if any light from its surface, Arantima's eyes cast over it with care. " This is my Zanpakuto.. And even if you find me unworthy It and I are still at your service is whatever seat you deem worthy of my power. The last thing before I release and introduce you to Tenryu properly. Is that I Do not wish to cause any harm.. I do know that these training grounds were rebuilt after my Last Attempt at sparring with Hotaru.. But The rest of the squad may need to head to the edges of the grounds."

Arantima Takes a few steps back away from Celes and nods once to her and then to the Group of shinigami behind her as he throws the blade into the air alongside the scabbard before he speaks, his voice taking on an otherworldly essence "Heavenly blade grasping the heavenly dragon, Tenryu Satsujin!" The Blade and Scabbard both Shatter and dissipate into nothing as suddenly there is a great burst of air that rushes in towards Arantima as if there were an imminent implosion but all of the gravitational pressure in the air just seemingly condensed into his body.

Arantima's eyes Now were Golden and alight with that inner fire that was held behind the frosted glass from earlier and his face was no longer stoic and regal, it was a smirk, a smirk of confidence and curiosity and arrogance that was somehow not unfounded. The arrogance was Confidence that was all encompassing, there was nothing that was beyond this man now and when he spoke it was with a buttery smooth refined nobility that His previous smooth and even melancholic tone was hiding behind itself. However the thing that was Plain to note was that.. He was completely unarmed, his zanpakuto had completely shattered and vanished.

"Ahh.. So the Sleeping Dragon Calls me out once.. Where is the Fire lord?" The Man who appeared to be Tima looked around and raised up on his toes to try and peek behind Celes, even holding a hand above his eyes in an exaggeration of attempting to find this "Fire lord". When he could not locate the person he seemed to be looking for he looked at celes and drew a hand across his chest, and clasped a fist over his heart, bowing down completely in half with a gentle flourish of his other hand. As he raised back to full height he spoke once again and again a buttery smooth voice came through.

"I am Tenryu Satsujin. The sleeping Dragon has just shared with me our situation.. You see when he calls my name our positions change.. He becomes the spirit and I become the master. Now, He only calls upon me when he wishes to prove himself or defend something. There may be a day when My power becomes truly his but for now you face me.. I do hope your Zanpakuto is not as.. Virulent as the Fire lords so this battle may last longer than a few seconds." Tenryu Takes up a strange stance and his hands take on a curved claw like appearance, his pointer and middle finger with his ring and pinky finger pressed together.. in a three fingered almost Eastern dragon like appearance.

Tenryu stood there now and looked across at Celes with that confident smirk, it was not condescending in its self confidence but it was amused, almost excited even at the prospect of being able to show off in the presence of someone truly powerful.. There was something about this new way that Arantima was holding himself and when he has moved it was not at his full speed or power it was measured and controlled seemingly out of intense practice and knowing what moving at its full power could do. As if to emphasise this care, Arantimas shoulders Flexed and he bounced the heel of his right foot once, the ground behind him splintered, cracked and was broken into an uneven mess for several feet in a cone starting from the point his heel impacted the ground.

Celes blinked for a moment as she took in his answer. She could tell a lot based on the way he carried himself. His manners. His physique. They all spoke of experience. Yet he supposedly was no stronger than even one of her own unseated officers? This was taking an interesting turn. 

She would always have time to ask questions, but to her this was the time to listen. As Arantima continued to speak, Celes stood there with a smile on her face, her hand planted on her hip. "My Zanpakuto is unique.. It Seals away My own power and when I release my Shikai the Gap that I close is vast. I Am now Sealed, a Dragon that is sleeping. As Arantima seemed to linger for that moment, her mind raced as she tried to reinforce what he was saying. "A sleeping dragon ey? And a Zanpakutou that possesses the body upon using Shikai and being limited to a Shikai...what a curious ability..." As she emerged from her short-lived string of thoughts, Arantima was unsheathing his Zanpakutou. As it emerged, a number of whistles and gasps of wonder emerged from the group around Arantima and Celes. The Captain was rather impressed with the blade. Six feet in length and decorated with jewels. Compared to it, most other Zanpakutou looked like a toy blade that was purchased from a Pawn Shop. She nodded as she eyed the blade closer as Arantima descended into another explanation. 

This is my Zanpakuto.. And even if you find me unworthy It and I are still at your service is whatever seat you deem worthy of my power. The last thing before I release and introduce you to Tenryu properly. Is that I Do not wish to cause any harm.. I do know that these training grounds were rebuilt after my Last Attempt at sparring with Hotaru.. But The rest of the squad may need to head to the edges of the grounds." Celes nodded as she raised her hand. The Squad immediately turned to her, giving her the utmost attention. Her voice rang through the air as she spoke. "Tenth Division! Clear the area. You may spectate if you wish, but please do not put yourself in harm's way." Some of the officers did not move immediately. A collective sigh of disappointment emerged from a number of them. Suddenly one of the officers barked out. "You all heard the Captain! Let's move!" Members of the Division looked at Mugen who was collecting the stragglers and bringing them to the sidelines or into the Barracks as they'd look through windows, clamoring over one another.

Celes looked around and was pleased to see that they have provided enough space for Arantima and Celes to go at it if they so desired. The Captain then watched him begin to shift backwards. Celes blinked and was very curious to see what he had planned. Suddenly his Zanpakutou would be in the air. He had thrown it. As it spun in the air, reflecting the sun's light into beautiful rays through the countless jewels, Arantima began to speak. Though it was not in his normal voice. It sounded regal. Otherworldly even for a moment. She could not help but smile further. "Heavenly blade grasping the heavenly dragon, Tenryu Satsujin!"

The Captain recognized it immediately for it was. A Release Phrase. He was going to use his Shikai here and now. Celes bit her lip as she felt a gentle excitement run through her muscles and electrify her body. She felt invigorated. His eyes changed to an all-encompassing golden hue. Celes looked up and noticed that he had no weapon. His Zanpakutou and scabbard had utterly vanished. The Shinigami grinned for a moment. "Does he trade his weapon for this possession? This should be very interesting..." The Captain simply waited for him to say anything after this little transformation of his though she was ill prepared for what she heard next. 

"Ahh.. So the Sleeping Dragon Calls me out once.. Where is the Fire lord?" Celes' smile became a puzzled one. She blinked rapidly trying to make heads or tails of what he meant. As Arantima rose to look over and around Celes, the Captain could not help, but chuckle a little. Just what was this? After a few moments of what Celes could only deduce was searching, she watched as Arantima brought his palm to his heart and gave her a rather courteous bow. This display of manners warmed Celes' heart. Then he began to speak again, his voice clear as day. "I am Tenryu Satsujin. The sleeping Dragon has just shared with me our situation.. You see when he calls my name our positions change.. He becomes the spirit and I become the master. Now, He only calls upon me when he wishes to prove himself or defend something. There may be a day when My power becomes truly his but for now you face me.. I do hope your Zanpakuto is not as.. Virulent as the Fire lords so this battle may last longer than a few seconds."

The Captain peered at him for a moment. First a few seconds. Then a minute. This was becoming more and more fascinating by the moment. She simply nodded and spoke herself, her voice filled with warmth. "Well then allow me to welcome you Tenryu Satsujin. I have to admit that I have never met another who shares this kind of dynamic. I can tell just be looking at you that you are an experienced fighter. I certainly hope I don't disappoint!" Celes grinned as through measured and controlled movements, Tenryu brought his heel down. At first, she just assuming it was a small prelude to a warm-up, but then the ground cracked, splintering as the ground behind him broke down into an unorderly mess. If she didn't have a grin on her face before then she certainly did now. She muttered under her breath. "Impressive..." 

There were very few who rivaled Celes in terms of raw physical strength. Could be just as strong as her? Her excitement at the prospect was hard to keep down. Her movements and expression...even her breathing displayed nothing, but pure anticipation. Normally Celes would work up slowly. Rise up to her full capabilities over time, though she could feel that this was not what he wanted. No. Instead, he had come here to show off his capability. To prove himself to his Captain. Celes would not do him a dishonor by utilizing deceit or slow buildup. She sighed and brought her hand to the hilt of her Zanpakutou. In a seamless motion, she swung her arm outward, her hand tightly gripped on not one, but two Zanpakutou.

As her left hand came to grab one of the twin Zanpakutou, Tenryu would likely notice that Celes held the blade in a Zatoichi grip, flipping the blade effortlessly in her hand and guiding the blade along her arm. Meanwhile she held her other Zanpakutou normally. "I may not change places with my Zanpakutou Spirit, but know that you face two opponents, not just one this day." Celes closed her eyes as she began to speak. Her release phrase was unusual to say the least. It was more akin to a plea. "Goddess Athena guide my heart. Grant me the strength, so my spear may strike true. Protect my body and guard my soul, Kishin Yunorashi."

As she finished speaking, Celes' twin Zanpakutou would glow a crimson red. Beginning at the hilt, each of her Zanpakutu soon were eclipsed in this glow. The Zanpakutou along her arm widened and soon produced a shield. Her right Zanpakutou elongated, forming a spear. Soon the glow rose to Celes' body and began to change. A once crimson glow changed into a soothing blue which expanded, bursting into a column of light that extended upward, encompassing her. It soon began to die down and Celes could be seen kneeling as she was covered in spartan armor, a weathered cloak draped over her back and wielding a shield and spear. She would rise to her feet, looking at Tenryu. 

Expertly, Celes doffed both her shield and her spear before securing them on her back which left her with her own two hands. Now ready to brawl and test Arantima's capabilities, Celes spoke in a clear tone. "Now, let's see what you're made of." Celes would waste little time and begin with an opening move. She moved at an impressive speed of 400, likely blurring for the former Vice Captain as she would approach him in mere moments. Among the Shinigami Celes was an expert at Hakuda, but more than that, she possessed a martial prowess that largely outstripped most other Shinigami. Using her enhanced speed, Celes would try to push her leg against Arantima's with her full strength. The goal was to knock him off of his feet, sweeping him into the air. If she was successful in driving him airborne, the Captain would deliver a palm strike straight into his chest. Normally Celes would be at the mercy of cutback, but Celes' Bankai allowed her to utilize her full Hakuda skills with little worry. Her goal was simple. To see if he could handle a simple sweep and strike.

[Arantima Kawada]

Tenryu doesnt blink but his face does go from that Confident grin to a serious disposition when Celes Rushes forward at such an intense speed. He exhales a soft breathe before the grin returns when Celes is close enough to initiate her assault, Tenryu looks as if he is activating shunpo but the step is much more powerful. There is an explosion of force that bursts out 1 meter away from his previous position rapidly and with a force equal to his impressive strength, though not quite on par with Celes, it is damned close. Tenryu re-appears just one the outside edge of that explosion just behind Celes.

There was not the raw speed of Celes here but there was a skill with the use of ho-ho techniques here that was hard to deny, not only that but knowing a shunpo variant at all spoke of an expertise with the technique that few strove for. Tenryu was not as fast as Celes but he was obviously crafty with what speed he held, as soon as he appeared he would thrust his dragon claw-like right hand towards Celes' back. The peculiar thing about this was that his arms both left and right were now steaming with a gold energy. If the Claw-like hand impacted Celes the three points of contact, Pointer and middle finger, Ring and pinky, and finally the thumb would all suddenly clamp down with a force of 1700 strength.

The Thrust forward would likewise have caused a shockwave with a force of 700 to form and rush through Celes' body before the Three clawed clamp could contact her. He would continue from there and the three Clawed hand that was currently clamped into her flesh would suddenly flatten and tap her with his palm. "Rasengeki" The voice was soft and smooth as silk, with no hint of malice. It was more like he was speaking some sort of ephemeral secret before the Spiraling energy of the Hakuda technique would take hold.

Rasengeki was a Technique that sent an opponent flying away from the user spiraling in the air uncontrollably, and if this attack collided with celes would open up another chance to shunpo into the path. Tenryu would shunpo 15 feet away from where he stood and appear in the path of Celes' spiraling body and would take a wide stance with a step forward and slam both fists into Celes' chest in a Dragon spear style blow to stop the momentum. He would not be so foolish as to think that even with his combat cutback enhanced arms that this would be enough to take out a captain. Though the Dual 700 power shockwaves that would ripple out from the Fists would also be a problem.

He was not as Far along in his mastery of Hand to hand combat as Celes, but he was leaps and bounds ahead of any seated officer. There was however a ferocity to his assault that was less of a planned action and more of a reaction to his own actions.. And while this made him a Fierce battler, it made him tunnel vision onto his target until they stopped moving. Likewise Tenryu was beginning to growl with a fury behind the sound that was like a Dragon waking from its slumber and preparing for war. There were Two shields suddenly on either side of himself that glowed with a golden light.

"Scales of the heavenly Dragon" Tenryu stood now holding his hands in the same fashion as he had before, Two clawed dragon-like hands but now he was flanked by two Twelve foot tall shields made of naught but raw gravitational pressure that have been condensed in less than a second at his whim.. Was this the true form of his Zanpakuto? There was something in Tenryu's new smile that said that this was only part of it.. But that he wasn't going to show it off so quickly, not just yet. There was an obvious amount of respect for Celes' position here becuase he was not fucking around.

His assault was not meant to show off, that assault and combination was meant to show that he meant business and was more than a bit wary of Celes' capabilities.. Someone who just released Bankai and then came at Tenryu with their bare hands was someone to be highly respected and that meant that the counter attack had to be harsh and as swift as he could make it. Her speed was obviously something that Tenryu was frightened of, and he was not going to let his guard down against that level of raw movement.. When he had to shunpo to keep up with it it would be a rough battle.

Tenryu Looked over Celes in whatever position she was in at the moment and rolled his shoulders, ready for the next assault. However just behind his back Also formed a Large blade, As beautiful as his sealed zanpakuto but it was floating in the air now, as if held there by an invisible hand. Tenryu was growling with almost every breath now and yet after that assault he was still wary of what Celes was going to do in response.. There was a fear in the back of Tenryu's demeanor, possibly from the last time he fought a captains bankai like he was ready to be ripped apart at any second.

Celes was prepared to execute her plan. To sweep Arantima off of his feet. Purposefully moving at a lower speed to prepare her assault, the Captain wanted to gauge just how strong Arantima was. His physical bulk suggested an impressive strength and his former position as a Vice Captain naturally suggested experience. She was certainly eager to see what he planned. How we could attempt to counter her impressive speed. As she drew close, just mere inches from her opponent, she felt a sudden force wash over her. It momentarily raised her off the ground in a split-second and she was sent, careening though the air at an impressive velocity.

She had little in the air. No effective ground to leap off of. Then she felt a presence behind her, three fingers that crashed against her armor. Another shockwave assaulted her body and senses, rushing through and around her. She could not help but grit her teeth. It did have astounding strength behind it, enough to certainly cause Celes to do more than just flinch. A calm voice emerged from her opponent as Celes prepared herself, knowing exactly what's to come as soon as she heard him. "Rasengeki" She knew the technique well. She had tried to use it against Camila in the past. As his palm pressed against her backside, she felt yet another force of reiatsu push her. 

Suddenly the world began to spin. Round...and round...and round. She was airborne once more. The constant spinning certainly didn't help with her disorientation. Soon there would be a counterforce that bashed against her armor. Two fists that with them carried that monstrous strength and yet another two shockwaves that rushed through and around her. She felt the taste of blood in her mouth as her momentum suddenly stopped. She began to descend to the ground, steeling herself as she reoriented herself to land on her feet as she slid along the dirt-covered training grounds. She groaned, holding her chest for a moment as she heard Tenryu speak once more. "Scales of the heavenly Dragon"

In mere moments, two shields that put even Celes' to shame appeared to both sides of the Shinigami. Celes simply sighed as she looked at Tenryu. Her eyes narrowed as she herself now had a grin on her face. Sure his assault hurt like a bitch, but Celes was no slouch herself. She had taken beatings in the past and was more than willing to entertain this opponent thought there was one thing she immediately understood from that short exchange between the two of them. Tenryu was not playing around one bit. His arms gleamed with a golden glow. His assault was ruthless. Others may have felt fear in that moment. Celes, however, felt satisfaction. 

Arantima, who had appeared out of the blue to reclaim his title, and Tenryu, his Zanpakutou Spirit who had emerged to do battle, were showing themselves to be impressive warriors thus far. She needed to respond in kind if they wished to see where they stood in the Division. Celes sighed and disappeared from sight in a flash. A shunpo that moved Celes into Tenryu's space. Her enhanced speed of 6250 likely allowed her easily to slip around the massive shields. Assuming she got where she needed to, she'd use her naturally heightened speed of 625 to try and deliver a palm strike to his chest. This was no ordinary strike and was meant to accomplish two things.

For one, Celes covered her hand in a fine shimmer of reiatsu. If this strike hit, utilizing Celes' full strength, Tenryu would feel something eat away at him. The fine coating of reaitsu would lash at his very soul. Celes knew this technique as one of the Greater Wild Arts. The Spirit Fang which made the strong weak. A nausea would overcome Tenryu if he was affected, threatening to unbalance him. If the Spirit Fang dug its way into Tenryu, all of his capabilities would suffer from it. His potent spiritual presence, his natural agility, his impressive strength...they all would decline. Celes was certainly prepared to take this spar a little more seriously than she was originally intended to. 

Though weakening Tenryu was not the only goal. If allowed to make contact even in that short moment, Celes would allow some of her reiatsu to flow around Tenryu. This would cause something to materialize around his body, clinging to his skin and restraining him tightly. These chains would force him to his knees, severely limiting his movements. If he tried to struggle against them, the chains would react and tighten, threatening to squeeze the breath out of him if he struggled too much. If allowed to happen, Celes would crack her neck from side to side, trying to shake the tension from Arantima's prior assault out of her. If she was successful after all, she'd have some time before Tenryu broke out of those bonds. Unfortunately, binding Tenryu in chains would cost a modicum of her strength, setting herself to 950, but she was sure that it wouldn't be too detrimental given the potential rewards.

Though even if Tenryu was struggling, Celes would offer him little respite, wanting to offer him a true test of his abilities. A true challenge. Once again, Celes would move forward at a speed of 625 once more, assuming that her natural top speed was enough to allow her to race around the shields. Using her impressive strength, Celes would try to pick up Tenryu before slamming his body down to the ground, his back pressing into the ground as it cracked as well. The chains would remain undisturbed even among through the incredible stress they endured if Celes' was successful. This Tenryu appeared rather durable so Celes felt that she could perhaps get a little rough with him.

Technique Description and Effects:

“There is always someone stronger” is a saying that few take to heart, but from that understanding came a technique that would weaken those who are strong and bring them down to the user's level. The Soul Fang literally delves into the target’s soul, no longer just tearing at it but ripping it apart and weakening the foe. This is a slight alteration to standard Reiatsu, a thinned-out and distilled version that passes through and does not damage solid matter. However, when these fangs tear into a target, it is easy to tell; weakness and dizziness overcome a target on the first hit, and subsequent hits only make it worse.

This technique, on a successful hit, lowers the target’s stats by 10% of their original amount after Type changes. 5% is recovered every three posts, or after an extended rest. This effect also stacks with itself.

How to use technique: The user surrounds the weapon or limb that they are using to strike with Reiatsu, but then allow that Reiatsu to disperse and thin out. Then they attack physically, striking at the opponent’s body, letting the Reiatsu tear through their spirit.

Drawback: This technique can only be used twice per post, successful or not. It can also be blocked by defending against the attacking weapon or limb; though the Reiatsu that is used to bite into the enemy's spirit is insubstantial, the weapon or limb is not.

Requirements: This requires a 3 in Hakuda along with a 3 in any weapon that the user chooses to make use of with this technique.

{Bound By Chains - 1250 Durability}
Technique Name: Bound by Chains

Technique Description and Effects: Bound by Chains represents the aftermath of war. The anguish that follows in every opponent once they lose their will to fight and are quite literally bound by chains. To use this technique Celes needs to make contact with her opponent. This can be with her release weapon or Celes physically touching her opponent, just as long as there is some contact between herself and her opponent. Once this occurs, Celes spends a portion of her own strength to manifest chains on the opponents' body. The ratio is 1:5 to determine the durability of these chains. If Celes spends 100 strength to manifest these chains have a durability of 500. The chains upon creation spread around the victims entire body and leave them helpless and at the mercy of the user. These chains also respond to resistance. The chains punish those that refuse to submit. If force is applied to the chains that does not outright break then, the chains tighten and the victim suffers a loss of breath that becomes worse as more resistance is given. The durability of the chains can only be increased to a max of 1.5x Celes OS. If Celes has a Strength of 1000, she can only make the chains have a maximum durability of 1500 and it requires her to give up 300 strength which effectively temporarily sets her Strength to 700.


1 - 4 Marks of War - Spending 1 to 4 Marks of War allows Celes to substitute part of the strength she would be sacrificing into the chains. Each Mark of War spent increased the OS of the chains by 25% of Celes' OS. For example, if Celes spends 3 marks and has 1000 strength, the OS of the chains would be 750. Celes can donate her own strength just like normally to increase the remaining OS to a maximum of 1.5x her OS.

5 Marks of War - Spending 5 Marks of War does not allow Celes to substitute her strength sealing with Marks, but instead performs something much more sinister. The chains are intended to cause its victim to lose hope and any chance of escape. If this property is invoked by spending 5 Marks, the victim becomes incapable of using reiatsu while they are bound. Much like Kurapika in Hunter x Hunter with his chain prison which enforces Zetsu, Celes' Bound in Chains will prevent the usage of reiatsu for as long as the victim is bound. To clarify, if the OS of the victim is RS or SpPr, they can still break the chains if it exceeds the OS of the chains. The inability to use reiatsu is intended to stop the victim from using techniques to "phase" or otherwise easily escape from the chains if they do not meet the appropriate OS requirement.

Technique Drawbacks: Bound by Chains while a terrifying ability does have a number of drawbacks. First and foremost is the strength sealing requirement. These chains are not purely spiritual chains. They are spiritual links made up of Celes' own strength. Since she is sacrificing strength to form these chains, she is also bulking down her physical ability. If this strength sealing would cause Celes to drop below strength thresholds, she cannot use those abilities associated with strength until she regains it. I.E if Celes dropped below 600 strength due to this technique, she could no longer generate shockwaves until her strength returns to 600 or above. If the chains were to be broken, Celes' does not immediately regain the sealed strength. Instead, she regains the sealed strength after 2 posts. A superior OS or Class Superiority to Celes will serve to immediately break the chains with minimal effort. However, 2 posts of continuous struggles can also break the chain. The victim will feel the chains tighten, but can ignore it with enough mental fortitude. After breaking free due to the struggling, the victim will need to rest for one post due to loss of breath.

[Arantima Kawada]

Tenryu smirks as he watches Celes blur beyond recognition, before disappearing completely.. Shunpo. There was no doubt that this woman was much like The fire lord in her focus on Speed.. She appeared within an arms length infront of himself and her arm was already in motion before he could make heads or tails of it. The shields moved as his smirk was held, a Shield hovered directly behind Arantima in a position to catch him should he be laucnhed backwards as he was expecting.. Rasengeki was not a technique that was not often left unrepaid in kind if the opponent knew it.

There was no other option this could be or at least so thought Tenryu's gradually storming mind.. Arantima's training to focus and sharpen the mind was only so effective before the rage of the Heavenly assassin took over and turned him into a complete Brutalizer. He Felt the palm touch him and then the pain of something rupturing through his entire beaing.. This wasn't quite as bad as Ten-kaika-ken but it was Brutal.. to the point where he felt spiritual connections in his body being fractured and torn. Arantima even flinched from his place inside the inner world for the release duration.

He didnt have time to parse exactly what was happening becuase as the Connections in his body were being ravaged there was something else slithering around his body before Locking together violently. This would trigger a smile in him that was Almost maddening as Tenryu struggled once.. He flexed his muscles and felt the weakened state of those muscles against the Chains and felt them tighten slightly at his testing protestation. There was growling coming from Tenryu's throat and his eyes flared golden but in his mind he heard the following words "Tenryu.. Activate the Tenkai.. Hide my body and fight to your Advantage!

Tenryu came back to perceiving the world around him as he found himself He had already started to send the Shields out and away from himself until they hit Thirty feet away from himself in the center and the shields Sixty feet apart from each other. He let out a groaning grunt of pain as his back cracked and he felt the ground beneath himself crack and crumble under the pressure of that blow. As he contacts the ground The shields pour Golden light out and around both Tenryu and Celes. As the Barrier finishes forming Arantima's body is wreathed in a nearly skintight barrier of golden light as he Goes unconscious.

Inside the Dome there is a Roar of a Dragon that shakes the very air as A Tall, lithe man with black nails, Golden Skin and Black eyes. Tenryu Satsujin, The Heavenly Dragon Slayer stands at 7 feet almost and wears a balance of Blacks and Silvers. He is a Noble at first glance but his Golden Skin and black claws say otherwise. This Man appears in a shimmer of Golden light that coalesces as the dragons roaring sound dies out. He Smirks and as quickly as he himself appeared within the dome, Two Swords appeared in his hands.These blades were identical to The zanpakuto that Arantima had shown celes before he released his shikai and then a Single Silver shield that copied Arantima's golden ones perfectly save for the color appeared behind him.

Tenryu stepped forward once, tilting his head gently as his black eyes cast over Arantima's shielded body, and as he did the Black eyes shifted golden, showing the dragon-esque slitted pupils before they covered back over black as he looked to Celes "You are no fire lord.. But then again.. That is not a bad thing. This has been fun! The only warning you have for this technique is that anything you do to me you do to HIS body not mine! HAHAH!" Tenryu Laughed as he Rushed forward at a bracing 600 Speed using the length of his swords to his advantage..

Swords that were 6 feet long gave him similar reach as a spear and he started his assault with a series of well placed thrusts that alternated Sword hands so that he always had one sword pulled back to defend a counter attack with. He was Immensely skilled with these blades as well, a quality about them that seemed to be more than steel.. As if they were made of a weightless but insanely strong material. The Sound they made as they cut through the very air at the speed and power he was producing made the effect seem like a byproduct of the motion but no.. They hummed with a soft vibration as if they were compressed and being held together by Tenryu's will alone!

Regardless how well his thrusting assault went or if it was parried or dodged he would smile, holding one blade behind his back, blade pointed to the sky and the other blade infront of himself pointed straight at Celes. "How Do we stand so far Captain of the 10th? Do we measure up?" He grinned as he spun once swiftly, the front facing blade whipping like a dragons tail and as his back was exposed the blade at his back whipped out like a winding dragons whisker. The Sword style he was using was not easily followed as he would take sudden side steps in his advance and wind around his assault.

Celes came crashing in with an unmatched ferocity and speed. If Arantima truly wanted her to test his capabilities, then Celes knew that she could not hold back. As she came in for her attack, the Captain quickly noted the position of the shield. It was nearly to his back and slightly elevated. Celes' thoughts raced in that quick moment, trying to rationalize this. "That launch angle...does he think this is about to be a Rasengeki..." In truth, Celes was not disappointed by the insight, however inaccurate it may have been. It was true that her skills in Hakuda were only matched by two other Shinigami that she knew of. As such it would seem only natural for her to know Rasengeki. And she did...at one point. 

The palm strike of hers collided with his chest, offering little resistance. The thin sheath of reiatsu that covered her hand traveled inward, the reiatsu radiating through Arantima's body. Celes knew that she had made her mark. The reiatsu began to spread, inflicting damage not only upon his physical form, but also lashing at his soul. Celes was like a wild animal, digging into every part of her meal. As contact was made and the force likely pushed Arantima only to be caught by his shield, Celes noticed as the second part of her plan came to fruition. Chains began to cling to his flesh, covering and restraining every part of him. The chains naturally forced him into a submissive position, only able to move his head.

The shields made it unfeasible to attack further and so Celes would allow his current condition to argue with him. The Shinigami simply sighed and tilted her neck to the side. Crack! The audible pop made Celes relax, pondering on what had happened so far. The last few physical strikes dealt to her by this Vice Captain were vicious. The taste of blood was still prominent in her mouth and she was sure that the shockwaves rushing through her body left internal damage. She would definutely have to drop by the Fourth after this. As her thoughts diverged for a moment, she returned to the topic of his uncanny strength. Celes was sure that they were even stronger than what she could conjure up with physical strength alone. Celes bit her lip, staring at the restrained Arantima. "That isn't just raw natural strength...it's being bolstered somehow. Huh..does he possess a spiritual prowess as well?" She was beginning to learn more and more about Arantima and she had to admit that this spar of theirs was exciting to her. 

Amidst the fight, Celes had forgotten that they had an audience. Countless members of her Division had the oppurtunity to see that which she rarely showed. Her Bankai along with her full strength. Celes was accustomed to training others in Hakuda. She naturally held back each and every time. The purpose was to train them, not hospitalize them after all. In Soul Society, there were very few that rivaled Celes strength. It was nice to let go every once in a while. As she readied herself, waiting to see what the former Vice Captain would do. It seemed that even the Tenth Division simply watched with anticipation. This was after all, a clash of titans. A Captain and the former Vice Captain going at it.

As if on cue, it seemed that Arantima had made up his mind. The shields would expand outward, their radiant glow becoming far more prominent. That glow seemed to take a peculiar shape, soon producing a spherical dome. Celes peeked around, eager to see just what this little dome could do. After all, if this was to be her second in command, her Vice-Captain, it would be best for Celes to understand his capabilities. She sighed as the golden shields swirled around him before enclosing. Celes simply raised an eyebrow as Arantima was hidden from view. She clicked her tongue, taking the time to relax. After all, she had a feeling that she would need the momentary respite. 

After a few moments, a figure materialized within the dome as a prominent roar shook Celes to her core. This was not fear, but raw anticipation and excitement. She growled eagerly and grinned as the figure came into view. A 7-foot-tall figure with elegant attire. Adorned by golden skin and wielding black claws, Celes had a general idea of who this was. Instead of Tenryu merely possessing the Shinigami's body, it seems that he was now fully manifested. This was certainly an interesting development. She breathed calmly as she heard the Zanpakutou Spirit speak. "You are no fire lord.. But then again.. That is not a bad thing. This has been fun! The only warning you have for this technique is that anything you do to me you do to HIS body not mine! HAHAH!"

This comment made several feelings arise within the Shinigami. For one, she felt his claim of not being like this fire lord a compliment. She did not wish to be like another. Adopt another's fighting style or tactics. She was her own person. She grinned for a moment which then soon became a look of worry. If this body was not his and reflected upon Arantima, she would need to tread carefully. It seemed that she would not be able to completely cut loose. She needed to show some level of restrain. After all, she did not wish to harm Arantima beyond repair. Besides...if this was not Tenryu's body, would he care about the Shinigami who he was tied to. Celes' expression became stern as she rationalized the potential consequences. 

Suddenly Tenryu descended upon Celes with blades nearly as tall her as her. Her instincts sharpened and as Tenryu approached, Celes blinked for a moment. Her mind began to race as a new excitement arose. "He's fast...I wonder..." As Tenryu used the blades like spears, Celes' own training benefited her. She was a master of both the spear and shield. While she used them in tandem normally, she was equally as proficient with those weapons individually. As one blade thrust forward, Celes moved to the side, just barely faster than her opponent. A narrow miss. This confirmed Celes' suspicion. This depiction of Tenryu nearly as fast as her. Then another thrust came though this time for the opposite hand. Not exactly something that Celes was expecting. As the blade came in with equal speed, Celes tried to shift to the side ever so slightly. If she had to be struck, then at least minimize the damage. The blade slide against her arm, making the Captain bite her lip for a moment as blood dripped from her arm. She could likely dodge multiple blows, but this was less advantageous than moving.

As the blade that had cut her moved away, Celes focused her movements as the other came in. Tenryu would likely recognize the concept if he paid close attention. Celes began to engage in a rather fluid and rhythmic movement. She cleared her thoughts, the clarity giving her a better sense of his movements. Using this rhythmic and fluid movements, Celes danced around the thrusts at an increased speed of 675. She was pushing her limits by sustaining this consistent movement as it pushed her ever so slightly farther than Tenryu in terms of agility. It was a simple yet effective Hakuda movement. The Rhythm Beat. By clearing her mind and descending into a rhythmic and automatic state of mind, Celes could become more agile than normal at the cost of predictability, but spear-like thrusts were Celes' speciality. She knew their ins and outs along with her understand of sword play. Her heightened speed likely allowed her to elegantly dance around the thrusts as she transitioned into a lower stance almost seamlessly thanks to her Baguazang training. She would not counterattack, merely moving under her opponent's form, trying to dash past him using her heightened speed.

If she was successful and Tenryu did not pursue for the moment, Celes would keep up her form. She'd maintain the movements as she heard Tenryu speak once more. "How Do we stand so far Captain of the 10th? Do we measure up?" She grinned, more than willing to give them a verdict after the fight. For now, she needed to concentrate. After all, the next few moments of the fight could be the deciding factor. She emptied her mind once more, focusing on Tenryu's movements as she maintained her heightened speed with simple movements. Then Arantima whipped about, spinning and sidestepping amidst his advances. He appeared akin to a dragon, moving around elegantly. It seemed that he was ready to approach and continue the onslaught.

Celes would maintain her stance, making simple movements as she waited for Tenryu to approach. If he did, Celes would execute her plan. She would use her heightened movement along with another aspect of Hakuda. She would step, her movement accelerating her to an impressive speed of 2025 though this was unlike Hoho. This technique was pure Hakuda, intended to be used for infighting or weaving in and out of attacks or closing space. The first step left a mere afterimage that if Tenryu slashed it, the afterimage would waver, soon dissapearing into nothingness. Celes meanwhile would use the enhanced speed to move around Tenryu to his side. Assuming she got to his side with little difficulty, she would prepare a devastating assault. After all, she had faith in the Fourth Division in being able to patch them up if this escalated. 

She would prepare herself as she quickly charged her arms with reiatsu. The reiatsu flowed through her arms, as she began to unleash an incredible number of strikes at nigh incomprehensible speeds. Each strike was moving at a speed of 1350, each blow blurring and appearing as one steady stream of attacks. In mere seconds, Celes unleashed a set of one-hundred strikes. Another stable of Hakuda and another of the Wild Arts. This technique was known as Hundred Fangs. If it connected with Tenryu, he would likely find his body riddled with countless blows spanning over several seconds. Each was heightened by Celes natural speed and strength leaving it a devastating offensive. If Celes was successful with her incredible flurry of blows, she would quickly use her speed to shift backwards. Her body would ache in that moment if allowed to execute the flurry. The reiatsu dampened the damage to the muscles, but it certainly took its toll on her.

{Rhythm Beat}
Technique Name: Rhythm Beat

Technique Description and Effects:
A stance-type technique, this one requires the user to slip into a state of automatic combat. Automatic combat is a mental state in which the user continues at the exact same pacing of their previous blows, creating a rhythmic pattern that allows them to fight without focusing on it. During this, the user becomes accustomed to their own movements, flowing into the same speed and rhythm of attacks until it's no longer required to think about it. That's when this technique truly begins to shine; upon that point, the user can speed up or slow down that rhythm suddenly, creating a pattern of attacks that suddenly alters in speed. Slowing in speed takes no effort, merely the conscious decision to hold back a blow, but speeding up is another story.

When speeding up, the user must do so gradually; as they become accustomed to their movements at a set pace beyond their normal limit, they can slowly push themselves further and further. With each post of consecutive rhythmic attacks, the user can adapt and push their muscles so that they move an additional 50 speed faster with their consistent attacks. This can be continued up until the maximum of the 3x limit on speed boosts. However, if speed is dropped at all, it caps at the speed dropped to or the user's maximum speed, whichever is higher, and can only regain 50 speed per post. Example, if the user has 300 Speed, after one post they can have 350, and after two their attacks come at 400 speed. However, if they drop down to 300 for a slowed move to surprise a foe, they cannot just go back up to 400 speed, and instead have to work up at 50 per post again. If they dropped down to 200, however, they could immediately make the next blow 300, as that is their natural cap.

How to use technique:
Begin striking in a consistent, consecutive rhythm of blows, adapting to it over time and adjusting speed as able.

Technique Drawbacks:
Stamina. Aside from that, the biggest drawback to this technique is its predictability; the user does have to build up a rhythm of strikes, and because they are fighting almost off-handedly, even if they have control over how they strike, there is a pattern in the motions that can be countered by an analytical foe. Note that this counts as a long-term buff if used for more than two posts (i.e. after the first post of increased speed); otherwise, it is counted as a short-term buff. Requires at least a 1 in Martial Arts: Hakuda.

{Shukuchi-Ho}
Technique Name: Shukuchi-Ho (Reduced Earth Steps)

Technique Element: None.

Description: The user makes use of his innate speed to move flawlessly. From a standing stance, or from any resting position, the first step that the user does becomes an illusion, moving quickly than the eye can see. This technique gives the user a short burst of speed to move and invade an opponent's personal space, and engage in hand to hand combat, or to weave in and out of an opponent's attack. This move triples normal speed for each step, and uses no reiatsu.

How to use: The user simply channels reiatsu around his feet instead of gathering spirit particles as what Shunpo or Sonido does.

Drawback(s): Shukuchi-Ho requires its user to have at least a base SPEED of 400 points, and is versed in Hakuda (meaning the character must be very knowledgeable in the shinigami art of hand-to-hand fighting). Also, the technique can only be used if the opponent is within 10 meters of the user. If the opponent is too far, the technique cannot be used. A maximum of 2 steps per post can only be done using Shukuchi-Ho, nothing more, nothing less. Note that Shukuchi-Ho is by no means superior to Shunpo or Sonido.

Technique Description and Effects:

This technique was developed in order to increase the user's strength in hand-to-hand combat. Using this technique sends Reiatsu pooling into the muscles and joints of his arms and hands, strengthening them and increasing their resilience. By using that same Reiatsu, he sends powerful impulses to the nerves that allows his limbs to react quickly in the form of a hundred powerful punches. Each one is fired off at twice the user's current Speed stat, causing his limbs to blur as the attacks are delivered in a sudden barrage that lasts only a few seconds. Each hit’s damage is equal to the combined total of user’s base Strength and Speed after type. This causes a massive amount of damage in a short time.

How to use technique: The user focuses their Reiatsu into the arms, strengthening the muscles and bones first to prevent excessive damage from overuse of the limbs. Following that, the same Reiatsu is channeled into the nerves and causes them to fire impulses rapidly, making his limbs move quickly in the form of a hundred lightning-fast blows.

Drawback: Moving one’s limbs beyond their natural limits causes strain and damage on the muscles and bone; though Reiatsu is first channeled to prevent the worst of the damage, each use of this technique wears down the muscles and causes them to throb heavily after only one use. Two uses within five posts causes the muscles to begin tearing, and small fractures along the bone. Three uses within five posts will completely tear several muscles while cracking the bones, and any additional uses within that initial five posts will render the user's arms useless without proper healing. This technique can only safely be used eight times within a thread without healing.

Requirements: This requires a 2 in Hakuda to perform.

Tenryu blinked as His blade pierced what should have been flesh, and yet he felt nothing but air and then not moment later he was suddenly being pummeled by what felt like a small army of blows from the side. It was faster than it was strong, but that didnt mean that the rapid blows didnt add up. Not only that but the Blows were still strong enough to Create shockwaves through his body.. He Winced more than a little but he grinned as he gritted through the pain and threw an Elbow to come crashing into the bridge of Celes' Nose sending a shockwave through her head before he spit up more than a little bit of blood.

He smirked as he started to sway and his tongue flicked out of his mouth.. no longer a Human-like tongue but a Dragon-like long and forked tongue as blood poured from his mouth his Black eyes suddenly were alight was a golden fire and the dragon-like slitted pupils were visible. All of this happened in the same motion as the elbow crush to the head as Tenryu swayed and took what seemed like to outsiders a stumbling step but was instead a very strange motion that compensated for his flick of one of his six foot blades to press the tip to Cele's throat without actually being lethal.

His sway was everywhere save for the arm that held the blade to her throat. His voice wa no longer only the Regal one.. and more like it sounded when Tima was releasing his shikai.. a Blend of the two voices.. "I think..That After that little show.. You should Take the Sleeping Dragon to the infirmary.. As well as yourself.. " He dissolved as quickly as he had appeared when the Dome appeared. The Dome and sheilds Dissolved as Arantima fell to the floor but he caught himself.

He was holding himself up at a horrifying angle that seemed like his back might be broken but he quickly stood up straight before his mouth began to stream blood. He took A few Steps forward and suddenly with a wave of his hand there were three blades creating a small Triangle around Celes's throat, to tightly to escape without removing her own head. However Arantima took another step forward and fell to the floor unconsious. The Last assault that Celes had given him was almost too much, and while he laid there on the floor the blades stayed for long enough that if he had been serious about ending her he might have been able to.

The blades dissolved harmlessly however as Arantima's Sealed Zanpakuto re-appeared in Arantimas hand with a soft twinkling sound as the immense pressure of his release finally subsided. A Few of the Older Shinigami in the squad that had been watching cheered while others were just slack-jawed at the power of the Shikai that could stand against a Captains Bankai and not be shattered under the weight. Arantima was still breathing and it was obvious that the bruising that was appearing on his body was not as bad as it should be.. His body was already recovering from the damage as quickly as signs were appearing.

In Arantima's inner world He and Tenryu were sitting In the Temple at the bottom of his Grey ocean and just recovering mentally from what had occured there. That set of blows to the side was.. Impossible for them to defend against in any situation.. However they both knew that This Captain possessed an Unnatural level of speed that most did not focus on. He And Tenryu knew they would recover given time, but he also knew that he had given Celes a Run for their money and that was what rendered Both Tenryu and Tima Satisfied with the outcome of that fight.

The combination of Shukuchi-Ho and Hyuku Shikon, seamlessly woven together thanks to Celes' martial prowess allowed her to slip by Tenryu. The incredible speed of her movements along with the relentless onslaught of her attacks made it difficult for Tenryu to put up much of a fight. His body riddled with countless, lightning-quick hits that made shockwaves rush through his body. Most would've likely faltered under the assault though Tenryu was make of a more durable cloth. Towards the end of her flurry of blows, her opponent found the will to strike at her. The proximity and her brief fatigue made it difficult to dodge as he packed very similar speed to Celes.

An elbow crashed into her, eliciting a notable groan of pain from the Captain. Once again, the strike packed with it a serious display of power. She was impressed that he could still command such enduring strength in his condition. Not that Celes felt that she was in stellar condition either. The initial blows from his first rush certainly made their mark. Celes was durable, but even she spat up a fair amount of blood as Tenryu spat up his fair share. They were in little condition to continue. The apparition before her swayed for a moment as one of the blades came for Celes' throat. She could see the blade come at her, but she remained unmoving. To her, this was a test of trust. Arantima had proved himself honorable. If she couldn't trust him with this little display of faith, then there was no way that she could call him her Vice-Captain.

Celes closed her eyes for a moment as the blade gently pressed against her neck, an audible gasp of shock arising from the spectating crowed. Celes sighed for a moment as she listened to Tenryu speak. Soon the voice, once regal and proud, would become Arantima's again. As he spoke, the barrier around them began to dissolve rapidly. "I think..That After that little show.. You should Take the Sleeping Dragon to the infirmary.. As well as yourself.. " The Shinigami chuckled for a moment even as the blade rested against her throat. He did bring up a good point. As he began to stumble, Celes noted the movement of more blades. Once again, she did not move. A shunpo would likely be enough to get out of this, but Celes waited to see as three blades rose, creating a triangle around her neck, threatening to cut into her flesh. 

Suddenly she noticed as one of her officers moved forward, exclaiming loudly. "Captain!" Her voice rang loudly with worry as Celes raised her hand, speaking softly. "It's okay..." Celes watched Arantima's final movements as he collapsed exhausted. The blades remained for a moment as Celes waited. The suddenly dropped from their fixed position, dissolving on the way down as not even the mist hit the ground. Celes sighed as she focused her reiatsu as the armor on her body began to disassemble. It crumbled and cracked before it faded away of her own volition. Her spear and shield meanwhile had become two twin Katana once more. With finesse, she moved her blades back into her sheaths as she looked down at the unconscious body. 

The crowed remained quiet for a moment until some more murmurs of worry became overshadowed by large bursts of cheer. Celes smiled. This Shinigami had certainly earned the stunning jubilation. Kneeling down, the Captain effortlessly slumped Arantima over her shoulder as the officer from before spoke once more. "Captain you are injured! Please allow one of us to take him to the Fourth Division." Celes smiled at her and shook her head. "I'm warmed by your concern, but this duty falls upon me." Celes looked around as her Division quieted down. "Remember what you say today and should you see him around her, show him the honor befitting of a Vice-Captain!" The Division suddenly bursted out into cheer.

Celes could not help, but smile as she disappeared from sight, using her natural speed to make her way to the Fourth Division Barracks. Thankfully they were nearby, and Celes' natural grip made it difficult for her to lose the Vice-Captain slung over her shoulder. Soon the Barracks and wide doors of the Fourth Division became clearly visible. She sighed calmly as she approached, entering. As members of the Fourth Division turned to see who had entered, one of them ran forth to check on the pair. She looked shocked due to the clear injuries sustained by both combatants. Celes laid Arantima down onto a bed as she cracked her bones, pushing any dislocated bones back into her socket with an audible crack, sending a spine down several shivers. 

The Captain smiled as some members of the Fourth Division huddled around the two of them. Celes raised her hand to calm their worries. "It was just a spar. This man wanted to prove himself to me and it got a little out of hand..." She chuckled, knowing many of the Fourth Division due to her frequent visits. "Bruising and possibly internal bleeding on his end. On my end, my insides are definitely a bit scrambled." She laughed a bit at the morbid nature of her comment, briefly coughing up a bit of blood. Most would fall into shock or be completely overtaken by the pain, but Celes was able to withstand grievous wounds. She had encountered them before. Some of the perks of being so physically durable.

Regardless, Celes looked at one of the members as he spoke. "Captain Celes. Please follow us. We will get you both healed up as quickly as possible. It may take several days. Someone of these wounds are a little severe..." Celes simply nodded and smiled. "I'm sure that you will take good care of me as you always do. Oh...and do me one favor." The huddled closer, listening intently as Celes spoke. "When he awakens..." She briefly pointed at the unconscious body of Arantima. "Do offer him congratulations. He is the new Vice Captain of the Tenth Division. Please offer him the same respect you'd offer me." She smiled, following the medical Shinigami, eager to work to a better Division with her new second-in-command.
