Thread Title: Forever The Sickest Kids Participants: Wynne Kuchiki vs. Aldwin Blackwood World: Human World Death Setting: Permanent Injuries Enabled Rating: R Location: New York City, New York. Special Conditions: N/A. Circumstances: With his hellish reiatsu finally beginning to manifest, Aldwin realizes he has no control over himself. As such, Wynne, a Shinigami is sent into the Human World in order to pacify the hellion.
With an agonizing shout, Aldwin gripped the sides of his head as tightly as he could. A rather agonizing amount of explosive force seemed to be taking its toll on the man as eh doubled over in pain. What was just a normal walk for the man seemed to be quickly taking a turn for the worst, as he found himself unable to even keep his balance anymore. Doubling over in pain with a rather loud clanging of his sword against the pavement, Aldwin let out another shout as his reiatsu seemed to flare about around him. Things were getting bad.
Doing what he could to force himself to his knees, Aldwin coughed violently. Slowly opening his eyes, he saw his own blood on the sidewalk. "Wh... What the hell is happening to me?" he forced out, seemingly unable to support his own weight from how much he was shaking. Slowly trying to force himself up again, the man once again fell to the ground. With another shout, he seemed to be garnering the attention of others nearby, causing some rather benevolent folk to rush to his side in order to help.
"Are you all right?!" A woman exclaimed, doing what she could to help him to his feet. Grabbing gently onto his left shoulder, the woman heaved Aldwin up, trying to help the man to his feet. And, for a moment, it seemed he was able to actually take to his feet with ease. All was going rather well for the man at this point, though his head still hurt. "I... I think so," he forced out again, stumbling forward. The woman immediately rushed to his side, and threw his arm over her own shoulder.
"You don't look all right," she said, "so I'd like to take you to a hospital. You need medical attention, evidently." Shaking his head, Aldwin continued to walk with the woman that seemed to not be taking no for an answer. "No, really," he whimpered with a faint chuckle, "I'm all right. You don't need to do this." As he finished, from the back of his mind, the man heard what sounded to be... his own voice? It spoke two simple words; two words that made him reel in horror at his own thoughts; kill her.
Pulling back off of the woman, Aldwin stumbled backward, once again falling to the ground. "Sir, please! I'm just trying to help!" she exclaimed, grabbing back onto him in order to help him back up. "Get away from me!" Aldwin shouted, evidently pained, as his voice seemed to distort ever so slightly. Staring at him, stunned, the woman seemed to not know what to do. Unfortunately for her, this seemed to be all the time that Aldwin needed, as something seemed to compel him to draw his blade, and tear clean through the woman like butter.
After his attack, with screams surrounding the area now, Aldwin used his sword to prop himself up, and get back up onto his feet with a chuckle. If it wasn't already, his hellish reiatsu seemed to be tearing through the area, running rampant across those that could sense it. Nowhere near enough to debilitate, but enough to definitely set off a few red flags. With a distorted chuckle, Aldwin rested his blade on his shoulder, and glanced around for his next target.

Infinity Style focuses predominantly on swift, well-timed attacks with as many different weapons as the user can comfortably maintain control over at a given time. Generally, these weapons will be scattered around the battlefield, primed to be used as the user wishes. Leaping from one building to the next as quickly as she could, Wynne narrowed her eyes as she attempted to locate the individual she was searching for. Her senses were pretty trash, so her search wasn’t going all that well. Luckily all she had to do was follow the screams to figure out where to go. It seemed her target for today was working fast. She wasn’t sure why the individual was butchering people, but she was sent here to stop it. One way or another. She’d ask politely once, and if they refused, she’d force them to stop. Seeing the people running down below wasn’t leaving her in a charitable mood, as she hated people who preyed on the innocent.
Jumping down from the building she was on and into an open area, Wynne looked at the culprit. As it could be no one else. The masked man was the same height as her and carried a sword, which was currently dripping blood. No doubt from the victims that were currently laying next to him. “Stand down before I have to put you down. You have five seconds to comply. ” Pulling out her zanpakuto, she counted five seconds in her head mentally before charging towards him with a Shunpo. If he wanted to kill innocent civilians, then he needed to be willing to pay the price of such a heinous act.
Pushing her right foot off the ground, Wynne felt a surge of speed as the wind rustled through her hair. Charging straight at her opponent probably wasn’t the smartest idea, but she needed to get his attention on her and off of the nearby bystanders. Judging from the corpses, the man clearly didn’t care about casualties and too many innocent lives had already been lost. And no more would die as long as she was here. Placing her zanpakuto vertically in front of her, Wynne would aim to slam her body into Aldwin's, using her body as more of a wrecking ball. Hopefully with her increased speed from the Shunpo, she’d be able to catch him off guard and send him flying away in a tumble. That’d teach him a lesson in humility and to not attack innocent people!
A movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. The focal point that determines the basis of this technique is speed. As speed is the main point of the technique, the method is best characterized by how fast one can get from Point A to Point B in the least amount of steps. Training and skill are what determines how fast a user of Shunpo can move. Those of little skill in the technique or those who haven't used it for an extended amount of time would obviously be out of practice, causing those individuals to be considerably slower. This requires the use of more steps to move the same distance and become tired more easily in a shorter amount of time. A single step magnifies speed for that step by ten times. Shunpo uses fifty Reiatsu per step. This one is automatically learned in the academy. All Shinigami know this when created. This technique does not take up a technique slot.
“Stand down before I have to put you down. You have five seconds to comply."
Hearing Wynne speak, Aldwin craned his head and let out a hoarse chuckle. "Yeah? You n' what army?" As he finished, he found the girl had vanished from sight, appearing right in front of him as soon as she'd gotten there. While otherwise preparing for a sword strike from the girl, the Nakkabaki found himself quickly taken off-guard once the girl decided to charge into him instead of at him. Finding himself unable to do much of anything due to this, Aldwin did what he could to deal with the brunt of the strike made against him, though wasn't going to be taking it too well, if the girl's physical ability was anything to judge.
Finding himself slammed backward with a rather tremendous amount of force, Aldwin did what he could to catch his footing, planting his feet back into the ground and allowing his blade to scrape along the concrete in order to slow his movement. Unfortunately for him, something like this wasn't enough, and he found himself slamming into the side of a building. With a grunt of pain, he dropped to his knees, before picking himself back up. "Good Lord," he said, panting and patting himself down, "I get what you're talkin' about now. Doesn't matter, though, I'm still gonna tear you down myself!"
As he prepared to fight once more, that same voice in the back of his mind started to speak again. Do not rush in, it spoke, you'll only get yourself killed. Mind her strength. She far outpaces you in raw ability, focus on keeping her away from you. Letting out a growl, Aldwin slammed his blade into the ground next to him, as he held out his hands in order to form a bow of pure reiatsu. "Let's see how you deal with this, Shinigami!" Placing his fingers into the grip of the be he'd formed, Aldwin pulled back, and aligned his view toward the girl's legs. Releasing his grip, the Nakkabaki allowed his arrow to fly, looking to strike the girl down as quickly as he could. He wasn't going to let her fight back if he could help it; she had the audacity to challenge him, and she was going to pay for that.
After firing off that arrow, Aldwin allowed his bow to fade. While he normally would've enjoyed fighting from a distance and playing it smart, it seemed that whatever was forcing him to act at this point had other plans. Grabbing his blade again, Aldwin began to sprint toward the girl, katana at the ready by his side. Assuming she did nothing to close the distance, he was looking to strike across her chest with his blade if he had the opportunity, cleaving diagonally across her in order to end things as effectively as possible. He wasn't going to make the fight longer than needed.
If she did look to close the distance, however, then he'd do what he could to preemptively react, positioning his blade in between himself and her. She outsped him, outmatched him, and all-in-all made herself one hell of a tough opponent against him. He'd have to fight carefully if he was looking to win, and generally that meant he'd be forced on the defensive more often than he'd like to admit, but he'd have to wait and see. For the moment, though, if she tried to strike against him, he'd do what he could, albeit still not a lot, in order to protect himself from her.

Wynne soon made Aldwin eat his words as she slammed him several feet away. If he wasn't willing to face her head on, then he should probably try dodging. Not that she gave him much of a chance too. Judging from his surprised expression, it seemed he wasn’t expecting her body to emit the amount of force that it did. A mistake most of her opponents tended to make. He managed to get his footing back somewhat by slamming his sword into the ground, but not before slamming into a nearby building. Popping her knuckles in satisfaction, Wynne waited for her opponent to emerge from the rubble with narrowed eyes. Just one attack wasn’t enough of a punishment for the sins Aldwin had committed.
As Aldwin picked himself up, he slammed his blade into the ground and formed a bow of pure reiatsu. Was he a Quincy? But then why was he using a sword? The ones she knew tended to use a bow only and that was it, plus most of them tended to not go around killing civilians. Although there were always lunatics here and there, perhaps he was one of them? Unfortunately for Wynne, before she could close the distance, Aldwin had already nocked an arrow back and released it, sending it flying towards her leg. Moving her left leg to the side as quickly as she could, she grimaced as the arrow cut through a part of her leg. Not enough to hinder her movement, but annoying nonetheless.
“It seems you made your choice.” As Aldwin charged her, Wynne allowed the man to come to her. She was surprised at his actions since his skill set seemed to favor long range while hers favored close range. Did he not remember what happened last time the two clashed? If not, she’d be sure to remind him. The moment Aldwin got within five feet of her, Wynne would look at him with a grin before slamming her right foot into the ground, creating a crater where she stood using only her immense strength to do so. The goal was to unbalance him by making his footing unstable and ruining his ongoing charge, after all, it was hard to continue an attack with unstable footing.
With Aldwin distracted, Wynne would aim to launch a powerful left hook at his face, throwing him off his feet if the blow was successful. An attack with her zanpakuto was nice and all, but it was predictable. When she approached him, he would no doubt be looking towards her right arm, expecting her to launch an attack with her sword. After all, what type of shinigami brings out her sword and doesn’t even use it? And that was why her plan would work! Hopefully! There was only one way to find out.
Smirking as his arrow started to make its mark, Aldwin continued on with his plan of closing the distance between the two of them with his blade. Charging forth, blade in hand, Aldwin eventually got within quite the close range of the girl, before realizing she slammed her foot into the ground. Suddenly, things were very, very wrong. Stumbling forward, Aldwin made note of the rumbling in his ears and beneath his feet as the ground cracked and shattered, creating a sort of localized earthquake beneath him. Grunting to himself, he did what he could to rebalance, before being met with a rather powerful punch to the side of his face, sending him straight back to the ground quite a few feet, and tumbling along the rocks of concrete that found themselves dislodged from Wynne's own stomp.
Once again forcing himself off the ground, and wiping the blood from his nose, Aldwin glared at Wynne with nothing but raw, uncharacteristic anger. Holding his blade up once more, this time pointing it at the Shinigami before him, Aldwin spoke. "'Made my choice?' 'Hell is that supposed to mean? You gonna try to put me down? Brute force me to the ground? Well, I've got other plans, missy, and I look forward to seeing you on the ground." As he finished speaking, Aldwin's own reiatsu flared around him, the hellish nature of it taking hold over the world around him. Even without her any exemplary energy sensing capabilities, this much would be known to Wynne.
Gripping the side of his head, Aldwin let out a low groan as it seemed his headache was starting to return. Something seemed to be coming, and not even he knew what. Step aside. Grant me control. Tear this woman apart. That damned voice seemed to be back, and more incessantly than ever. Putting both hands on his sword, Aldwin did what he could to shake it off. He wasn't going to let something like that take hold if he could help it; not now, anyway. He needed to keep fighting. Keep his own control over not only whatever that was, but over this fight in general.
Once again, Aldwin made the decision to charge the girl. Though, this time, he'd need to use a bit more tact. Keeping himself well-guarded along the way, Aldwin started to sprint toward the girl, with one hell of an idea in mind. Holding his sword with a reverse grip, Aldwin threw the weapon blade-first into the ground in front of him, and continued to run up to not Wynne, but his blade. Using the weapon's slanted positioning in the ground, Aldwin placed his foot on the blade and used it as a way to propel him into the air for a short time.
While in the air above the girl, Aldwin once again primed and nocked his bow, pulling back his hands as he vaulted over the girl, and fired off three separate arrows toward her. Assuming she didn't move out of the way, all three of these arrows were primed to aim for the girl's right arm; better to disable her ahead of time, right? After all, what was a Shinigami without their fancy sword? His time spent with Celes cemented this idea, and he was going to be damned sure that he was going to shut that option down before she had the option to act on that.
Landing behind her, Aldwin turned to face the girl, keeping his bow at the ready and this time aiming at her head. He couldn't've been more than five feet away from her at this point, so missing wasn't exactly an option. Instead of firing, though, he simply waited to see what she was going to do. Idiot, the voice in his head spoke, finish this while you've the opportunity. Stop prolonging this fight; you don't need her alive, do you? End this while you've the opportunity to do so, dammit! Letting out another groan, Aldwin shook off the thoughts currently assaulting his mind as he tried to keep himself focused on the fight at hand.

Her little trick was successful and her fist met the side of Aldwins’ face with a resounding thwack. As the man was once again slammed into the ground, Wynne wondered if he was going to change his strategy somewhat. Clearly she excelled at close range, so perhaps fighting her in her element was not the way? He didn’t seem to be in his right mind to begin with, so perhaps that was the cause of his frequent charges towards her. Either way, she would show him no mercy. Just as he showed these civilians the same.
“Clearly it's working. How’s the concrete tasting? And you’re the one that’s killing innocent civilians, you cretin.” For someone so clearly in the wrong, Aldwin was really trying to take the moral high ground. What a buffoon. Perhaps she made him hit his head too hard with that last attack? Maybe another blow to the head would fix things? As Aldwin’s reiatsu flared up, Wynne narrowed her eyes at the feeling. It felt hellish, if she had to describe it. Just what kind of person was she facing here? She had never learned of this type of being at the academy, and clearly this was no ordinary Quincy. She had many questions but no answers.
As Aldwin charged her again, Wynne let out a sigh. It seemed he never learned. Gripping her sword, she prepared to meet him head on before stopping in her tracks in confusion. He had thrown his sword? The reasoning behind this action became clear a few moments later when he propelled himself upward to launch arrows at her from above. Annoying. It had been a pain to get hit by one arrow, and if she didn’t want to get hit by three more she needed to move. He was learning at least, which wasn’t necessarily a good thing but it showed that his brain worked. But hers did too.
Taking a step forward, Wynne leapt off the ground with a Shunpo. Thanks to the speed of the Shunpo, and by twisting her body, she should be able to avoid the oncoming arrows if her dodge was successful. Continuing her charge straight ahead with that powerful step, she aimed for the house that Aldwin had crashed in a few minutes before. She had a feeling that Aldwin would keep peppering her with arrows, and since she didn’t feel like suffering through that, she was going to get some cover. Barreling through the door and taking it off its hinges, Wynne used it as a makeshift shield in case Aldwin chose to launch off a few attacks at her retreating form. Now it was a waiting game. Would he dare approach her, in such close quarters? Retreating further in the house and out of sight, she kept an eye outside to see what Aldwin did. The next move was his.
Seemed that this Arrogant Shinigami was still going to continue to put up a fight. Aldwin sighed upon realizing that his arrows seemed to do nothing. Looked like arrows were going to be nothing but a pain to fire off; something they really couldn't afford to deal with. From his time spent with his mother, he'd come to realize very quickly that, unlike most Quincy, he hadn't the ability to draw in the reiatsu from the world around him. Something that he found to be a crutch in his combative capabilities. Perhaps he'd be able to develop something for that down the line? That was neither here nor there, though.
As Wynne cleared the battlefield and made some distance between the two of them, Aldwin grunted once more. "Gods," he said, gripping his head, "This isn't working!" As he finished speaking, it seemed he damned himself with his own comment. His headache came back with excruciating force, forcing the man to drop to his knees once more with a pained shout. Instead of simply flaring this time around, Aldwin's reiatsu exploded about the area as a very real change in the man seemed to be making itself apparent. His hair quickly found itself dyed white, and the man's own shirt seemed to be burnt to ash. In its place, a segmented suit of chitin began to coat his entire body, taking the same appearance of his demonic arm and amplifying that across most of the rest of his body.
By the time his reiatsu settled, Aldwin ended up almost unrecognizable. His hair was silver, his skin pale, and his eyes a deep, bloodied red. With a sharp exhale, Aldwin once again spoke, his voice not his own. "Much better," he said, cracking his neck. Slowly starting to walk toward the building that Wynne had crashed through, Aldwin dislodged his blade from the ground, and dragged it against his own sharpened claws, causing a sound akin to that of metal against metal. "Come out, little Shinigami," he said, "let's end this. No tricks, no underhanded tactics, just a standard one-on-one fight."
Once Aldwin found himself not ten feet away from the building, he made his way inside with a sprint, looking to get things done from the get-go. Assuming he saw the door still in the girl's hand, Aldwin started by charging the girl once more, looking to use his sword in order to slash through the door as forcefully as he could. While sure, he definitely wasn't physically strong enough to do so, the edge of his blade enhanced with the reiatsu he began to pump through the weapon should've carried him to that point with relative ease. Once that door was out of the way, he'd prepared himself to combat the girl as needed. He'd have to watch for her strikes, though; she definitely packed a punch that he wasn't wanting to subject himself to.

As Wynne waited for Aldwin to approach, she watched as the man dropped to his knees with a pained shout. In the next few seconds, his reiatsu exploded outwards and his hair turned white while his shirt burned to ashes. A very curious transformation. He also gained some sort of chitin armor, which might be annoying to deal with depending on how strong it was. She would have to see once he got closer. He also seemed more demonic, which suited the aura he now held. Hopefully he’d stop transforming as he seemed to be stronger from the little ordeal he just overcame. She didn’t particularly like opponents who had power ups such as this.
Walking up a few of the steps, Wynne placed her zanpakuto in her sheathe and held the door in a throwing position as she waited for Aldwin to come through the doorway. This was a classic ambush setup, and if he decided to come in, she would make him regret it. And come in he did. The moment she saw his body enter, Wynne would heave the door at Aldwin with all of her strength, turning it into a powerful projectile. Sure he could probably cleave through it if his reaction time was fast enough, but it was a big door. Plus her throwing arm was quite powerful, so she was sure it would still do some damage. Plus that was only part one of her attack.
She wasn’t sure why he expected her not to resort to underhand tactics or tricks when she could. If it was available to her, then she would use them. After all, he was the one out here killing innocent people. If he wanted an honorable fight, perhaps try not involving innocent people first? Leaping off the stairs and towards Aldwin, Wynne would aim a flying dropkick towards his chest, with the goal of drop kicking him straight out of the house. Sure he was probably getting annoyed of being treated like a ragdoll, but that was just how Wynne fought. If he didn’t like it, then maybe he shouldn't be getting hit. “Here I am little man.”
Last Edit: Jan 2, 2022 22:09:15 GMT -5 by Wynne Kuchiki
Upon entering the building, Aldwin seemed to be quite unable to really do much of anything. While sure, he'd be able to somewhat prepare for the door coming his way, that wasn't the main issue. That said, that was to be tackled when the time came. For now, the door. Slashing through the door in front of him while he could, Aldwin still ended up taking a rather powerful attack against him in the meantime. The force of the door alone, backed by the rather tremendous amount of strength that the girl had wasn't really enough for Aldwin to even hope to deal with. As he went for the strike against the door, the blade itself actually cracked, and subsequently snapped in two.
Being forced to take the full force of the door, Aldwin was sent straight to the ground with relative ease. Sure, his armor would be able to help mitigate that, but it was by no means enough for what he was looking to be able to do. With a pained shout, Aldwin took the force of the door, and fell to the ground. Doing what he could to push the door off of himself, Aldwin heaved as he pulled himself from underneath. For all intents and purposes, Aldwin found himself unable to keep pressing forward after taking an attack like that head-on. Assuming Wynne didn't continue with the kick, he wasn't going to make any offensive action anymore.
As the chitin across his body began to crack and crumble, Aldwin took deep breaths, trying to keep himself, well, conscious at this point. The man had likely just suffered one hell of a concussion, as well as a number of broken bones from having a door thrown at him at superhuman levels of strength. At the moment, he was only as durable as a human, after all. Within a matter of seconds, Aldwin had reverted back into his standard form, with his hair darkening, his skin having its color return, and any semblance of his hellish nature falling to only his demonic arm.
"Th-Thank you," he forced out, "I'm... I apologize for the mess I seemed to cause there." With a slight chuckle, Aldwin allowed his hands to fall to his sides, with a relatively soft sigh and a smile on his face. Despite likely suffering from a concussion now, it seemed his headache was gone, and he was back in control of himself. Well, at least for the time being. Although, moving was likely something that wasn't going to be easy for quite some time, given his absolutely destroyed body for the time being.

It seemed the door had a superior craftsman compared to Aldwin’s weapon, as his snapped upon contact with it. She had thrown it with considerable force, but she had assumed his weapon was made of sterner stuff. She knew her zanpakuto would have been able to withstand the force of the attack at least. Either way, her opponent was once again slammed into the ground. However this time he seemed to be having quite the trouble of pulling himself back up. All of the wounds she had been giving him seemed to be taking a toil on his body. Even if she hadn’t injured him with her zanpakuto yet, her blows were just as deadly.
His demonic features were fading away as well, returning his form to something more vaguely human. Seems Aldwin couldn’t keep up his little change up for too long, at least not with his current injuries. Walking down the steps slowly, Wynne decided not to go through with her dropkick. There didn’t seem to be a need at this point. Aldwin’s armor was cracked and crumbling, and judging from his breathing, he had a few bones broken. He did not take that door to the chest well at all did he? Quite a good throw on her part no?
“Ha! Don’t thank me yet. There’s something you have to realize Quincy, or whatever the hell you are. Your actions have consequences. Allow me to show you.” Looming over Aldwin’s prone body, Wynne stared down at the man with her pitch black eyes for a moment before grabbing him by the scruff of his neck. Dragging him out of the house none too gently, she pulled him to where the corpses of the people he had slain were before tossing his body down next to them. Crouching down to look at the corpses and then at him, Wynne narrowed her eyes in thought before speaking softly.
“Well you apologized to me. How about you apologize to the people you actually wronged? The people you killed? Laughed while doing so as well? Don’t deny it either, I heard it. Why shouldn’t I kill you here? Crush your pathetic little skull like the disgusting worm you are and allow these victims to get the justice they so desperately deserve? What say you in your defense?” As Wynne spoke, she approached closer and closer to Aldwin until she was mere centimeters away from his face. She wanted to know his answer. Wanted to know why she should let him live, after everything he had done. She was no saint. If she didn’t like his answer, he wouldn’t leave here alive. And his death wouldn’t be swift. The people here had suffered, and so would he. She'd start with his fingers, then his toes. She'd make sure he was really sorry for the crimes he committed.

Given everything he'd just sustained, being picked up and dragged by his neck was nothing short of excruciating for Aldwin. He made that much clear with pained shouts as it happened, but didn't bother to try and protest any in the process. Thus was life, it seemed, and there was very little, if anything that he found himself able to do for a time because of the outcome here. He'd lost; that much was painfully clear. Even if it wasn't a battle he'd inherently wanted to fight, he still found himself in a terrible spot. Even more so as he was tossed down onto ground by the girl much stronger than him.
Listening to her speak was an... interesting experience. She spoke softly, like her words were going to be on the gentler side, yet the exact opposite was true. To say that Aldwin was horrified was an understatement, and he made no effort to hide that fact. "Well, uh," he stammered, turning to the corpses of those that lay beside him, "for one, I do apologize. D-deeply. I don't know what that.... thing, was that came over me. I won't try to hide behind actions out of my own volition, though; I k-know what happened was wrong." Taking a deep breath, Aldwin realized he was forced into sharing a bit more about that weapon he had than he would've liked.
"That sword I carried - the one that now lay destroyed by that building - was one of my own design. I had talked with a few other Shinigami in order to get this thing... working. Hopefully you know a miss Celes, or miss Camila? Both of them have been crucial in the development; a sword that can purify. A blade that brings me a step closer to you Shinigami. Something designed so I can help out where I can. That said, those poor folk that... didn't make it are in Soul Society now. Their souls still remain intact, and they should've passed on relatively peacefully, despite the circumstances."

The moment Camila’s name was mentioned a change came over Wynne. Her countenance immediately darkened and she gripped Aldwin’s face with her right hand in a tight grip, nearly crushing his jaw. Speaking to him in a quiet voice that borderlined manic, tinges of barely constrained anger could be heard as she struggled to contain the rage that began to seep through. “I’m going to ask you a few questions. If you lie even a bit, I will tear off your toenails, then your fingernails. Once this is done I will remove your toes and then your fingers. After that I will start cutting off pieces of your body until you resemble a worm, only able to flop on the ground pitifully, with no one here but me to put you out of your misery. Do I make myself clear?”
Once she received some sort of confirmation Wynne continued her speech. “When was the last time you spoke to Camile, and what do you know of her? Tell me everything. Tell me all you know about your sword as well. Can you repair it?” If Wynne knew Camila had a hand in its development, then she wouldn’t have thrown an entire door at it. She wanted it for herself. The loss of her dear friend still stung to this day, but now she might have a piece of her here! Sure Camila didn’t necessarily make the weapon, but she’d rather have something to remember her by than nothing.
Aldwin also knew Celes which was interesting but not really important at the time. Why he knew her captain was strange, but Camila was more important in her mind. Aldwin knew too much now, so she needed to make sure he didn’t die. At least not yet. His wounds didn't look life threatening just yet, so he should be fine. She didn't think he'd just up and die on her from the looks of it. The people he slaughtered were in Soul Society, so that gave her a little measure of peace. Only a little though as they still suffered on the way there. Watching Aldwin with a fervent gaze, Wynne waited desperately for a response. Could he have the information she had been so desperately seeking after all this time?
It took Aldwin every bit of concentration he had available not to just throw up at the prospect of Wynne's threat. This girl seemed absolutely brutal; getting on her bad side anymore didn't seem like much of an option. "C-crystal, miss..?" he forced out, and in turn asking for the girl's name. He didn't want to seem rude, so if she answered with her own identity, Aldwin was going to do the same, and give her his name too. Given everything - including the threats - hiding things was pretty much off the table for Aldwin at this point.
"Well," he started, "I haven't spoken to the girl in... what, a little over a year or so now? It's been a little longer than I'd like to admit. She seemed... excited, though. Introduced herself as the 'future Vice Captain of Squad 13'. Hopefully she managed to make it there? The girl seemed nice enough, n' seemed to put a lot of effort into her line of work. I'd like to think she deserved something like that." With that, Aldwin gave a soft smile. Truthfully, he rather enjoyed the time he spent with her, if not for it being a bit... sporadic in nature. Ah, good times, good times.
"About the sword, though; I sat down and took the time to learn about how you all purify souls, send them to Soul Society, and all of that. Took a few traces of Shinigami reiatsu from what was left on me from my training with both girls, and infused it into a sword. I was looking to show Celes what I'd been able to make thus far, but I guess I won't be the first to let her know." he chuckled. "That said, yeah; I can remake it. I'll need a bit of money n' some time, but I can probably get a more sturdy version of it going down the line. Hopefully something that won't break upon first contact with a door."

Rolling her eyes in disgust, Wynne let out an annoyed sigh. This was what she got for getting her hopes up. He hadn’t talked to Camila in over a year? His information was worthless at that point! Future Vice Captain of Squad 13? By the time Wynne had met her, Camila had already betrayed and left Soul Society at that point. The information about the sword was decent at least. The man was smarter than he looked, at least for crafting weaponry. Not so much in battle, from what she had seen.
Releasing the grip she had on Aldwin’s face, Wynne felt the anger she had in her dissipate. She had hoped he knew something off her friend, but looking back at it, she realized she had probably jumped the gun. It wouldn’t make sense for him to know anything about Camila, and flying off the handle at the mere mention of her friend’s name probably wasn’t a good way to cope with her loss. She didn’t feel too bad about it since Aldwin deserved everything sent his way, but it was something to keep in mind. Picking herself up, Wynne headed inside the house to pick up the two pieces of the sword she had broken. She had plans for that weapon.
Once she located the broken blade, she brought it outside and returned back to Aldwin. Naturally in his injured state he remained where he was, so she didn’t have to worry about him going anywhere. Crouching back down next to him, Wynne resumed her speech. “I’m gonna be taking this little weapon here with me. Think of it as a little humbling experience for this whole situation that occurred here. I don’t know what’s going on in that head of yours, but you need to get that dealt with. And if I hear that you’re going around killing people again, I won’t be so merciful next time.”
Since he knew Celes and Camila, Wynne didn’t feel right about killing Aldwin. Plus she had already roughed him up quite a bit, so she had already released quite a bit of her anger towards him already. He seemed apologetic for his actions, even when she had been quite overbearing. If he had even been slightly rude towards her, she’d have made him regret it. Plus she got a sword out of the whole ordeal. One that Camila had a hand in making. Once she got it repaired, it would almost be like she had her friend back….
