The empty and rather deserted halls of Las Noches would be host to a peculiar sight. Ailene began to make her way back to her quarters hopefully with a friend in tow. The Septima Espada had numerous wounds from open bits of flesh to pools of blood forming on her skin. Overall, it was not a very pretty sight. The Espada had just finished a spar with a powerful foe. A titan in Las Noches. It was none other than the Envainar Leader, Orobas Price. Though Ailene also knew him by another name. An alias accompanying the guise of being an Arrancar. Maximiliano. This is how he had chosen to present himself to Ailene initially. The spar had certainly gotten out of hand as it had both Ailene and Orobas submit to their vicious natures.
As the Espada began to approach her quarters, she was pleased to see it. In truth, Ailene loved nothing more than her personalized quarters. Each Espada had the freedom to tailor their rooms to their needs, personalities and so forth. It was a gift given to them by Lord Kouhai and Ailene's was akin to a study hall. Countless books decorating shelves, numerous trinkets giving the room a unique identity and scrolls upon scrolls of texts from all eras. Ailene was certainly a passionate collector of knowledge. Furthermore, she loved to study all of it. Down to the last words of every piece of text. Some would call it an addiction. Ailene knew it simply as passion.
Making her way into the vast halls of her room she immediately made preparations. After all, she was about to have a guest. Whether it was for a short few moments or an extended period of time, Ailene found irrelevant. It was so difficult to find good company among her companions in Las Noches. While some of the Espada had their fair share of social skills, others prioritized strife and violence even among their own kind. While Ailene understood that it was a harsh life, she also understood the merits of diplomacy. Of civil communication. It seemed that many of her kind would not share this same line of thought. Not that Ailene cared. Everyone was entitled to their own thoughts after all.
Expecting Orobas to follow her into the hall, Ailene already began to prepare two cups of tea. Just after their encounter Orobas had asked if Ailene made pomegranate tea. In truth it was one of Ailene's favorites. The irony did not fly over Ailene's head. One of the strongest hellions asking for the fruit of the underworld. Ailene chuckled to herself. She decided to make a cup of Chamomile tea herself. It was a popular choice in contemporary Germany. Her place of birth. Back when she was of flesh and blood. As she began to wait for the hot water to heat, the Espada pondered on all that had transpired of late. Specifically in relation to Orobas.
Ailene liked to think that she had a great command of knowledge. Both obscure and obvious. Yet her knowledge of the Envainar was always lacking. Much like anyone else she had heard rumors and heresay. An ancient order that had long since fallen. Each of its members lost to time. A extension of the Espada. Yet there was something that intrigued Ailene. She knew the duties of the Espada well. To serve Lord Kouhai. To act on his orders and represent him and all of Las Noches. Those duties were clear. Besides that the Espada had the freedom to pursue anything they wished. So then. What were the duties of the Envainar? How did the agenda of Hell and of Lord Kouhai interact with one another.
As she pondered on it further she finally heard it. "DING!" Her attention was immediately diverted to the portable water heater that had finished. Pouring each cup carefully, Ailene began to add in little herbal supplements. On top of her general knowledge and passion for learning, Ailene was also an expert in medicine. She could easily destroy a body and know how to put it together just as easily. She chuckled with a low growl as the leaves that she added in slowly dissolved under the burning water. Finished with her preparations, Ailene would bring the tray to the table surrounding two rather comfortable chairs. Furthermore, Ailene had brought out further treats.
With a light smile she would peer at Orobas for speaking and offering him the cup of tea. "Here you go Orobas. Or Maximiliano. However you wish to be addressed. Your cup of Pomegranate tea from the depths of the Underworld itself." She chuckled a little at her own admission of the irony behind Orobas' want for this particular type of tea. As Ailene brought the second treat, she would lay her eyes upon a tray of various baked goods. Baked goods commonly found in Germany and cherished. Ailene did very little to hide her heritage. She would smile a little once more as she spoke softly. "Please do help yourself. These are delicacies from my home. From Krapfen which are basically filled jelly donuts to Apfeltaschen. Apples with a breaded layer cast over them." In the meantime, Ailene would take a sip of her own cup of tea, enjoying it silently as she peered at Orobas. She was curious to see how he felt about the tea and if he'd fall to the temptation of sweets.
