Name: Aia Kristal
Age: 29
Birthday (Month/Day): May 13th
Blood Type: AB+
RP Sample (Optional): Refer to Ailene Haschiro/Celes Shindazu
[smear:a69eff]Appearance[/smear:1605d4]
Height/Weight: 6'1"/165 lbs
Physical Description
{Base Appearance}
If Ailene needed to be be described based on her physical appearance using a key word, it would be charming. Standing at an impressive 6'1" and weighing 165 lbs, Aia shares both beauty and fitness. Despite having a fair skin color and appearing to be built well, Aia certainly displays a bit of modesty. Not being very curvy, but certainly looking healthy, Aia does have defining female characteristics. Being somewhat well endowed, Aia often attracts unwanted eyes much to her chagrin. Hey eyes have a greyish coloration which typically matches her outfits. This is more coincidence then on purpose as Aia just naturally gravitates towards these color choices.
The Quincy has raven-colored hair which is a rather short length. The sides fall to touch her cheeks while the back of her hair touches her neck. This hair also does well to cover her forehead although she every now and then has a rebel strand which falls before her eyes. This gives her somewhat of a gothic vibe which does well to match her typically bleak clothing. At most, she tends to straighten her hair although depending on her disposition or mood, she may elect to leave it a little messy. This unbound and carefree personality towards her own appearance has generally done her well as she is not standing before the mirror for minutes on end, trying to style her hair.
While Aia is perfectly willing and able to wear the white formal uniforms of the Vandenreich, she has a strong preference towards black and grey clothing. In fact, she typically opts to wear her dresses over the Vadenreich garments if she can allow it. Despite this, she understands the strive for formality and as one of the Emperors' "children", she certainly does not mind wearing the uniform of not only the Vandenreich, but a representation of the Emperor himself. Having a strange fascination with ravens and crows, Aia typically fashions clothes to symbolize these companions of hers. Typically, this shows in the form of her dresses begin adorned with feathers.
Hidden beneath many layers of clothing is Aia's symbol for her hatred of Shinigami. A long scar that runs along the left side of her waist. This is clearly left by a debilitating sword slash. This scar is deeply personal to Aia as it was inflicted upon her the day that her mother met her end. She could ask to have it healed, but she keeps it as a memento. A warning that she will rarely forgive those who associate themselves with the Soul Society. In truth, the mark still has some phantom pain. If she touches it, sometimes she can feel the steel slashing through her flesh. This is just a psychological induced pain, however and her scar remains closed to this day.
As mentioned before, Aia typically opts for a gothic style of clothing. In this sense, her clothing can often be very traditional. Having a fascination with the Victorian Era, Aia will do her best to collect outfits and pieces of clothing from that time period. Furthermore, her gothic style of clothing appears to be clothing one may find someone wearing at a Renaissance faire. Regardless of any criticism, Aia has a deep fondness of those that share her fashion style. Even if their style itself is not gothic, she likes the look of more dreary colors. Black, grey and navy are a few colors to highlight when addressing the colors that Aia gravitates towards.
Being of Austrian descent, Aia has found herself habitually wearing clothing that would keep you warm. Hiking and the general European weather are to thank for Aia's gravitation towards warm clothing. To compliment her style, she also chooses boots made of a number of materials. The foremost of which is leather and laces. The design of these boots are typically European given her heritage. Being so close to Germany, however, Aia has also had experiences with more traditional clothing such as the Dirndl. While not her favorite style due to the choice of coloration, Aia can find an appreciation for the overall look and feel of the outfit.
Hailing from Austria, Aia speaks a dialect of German spoke primarily in the Southeastern part of Germany. This dialect is Bavarian. While she is extremely proficient in a number of dialects, she finds herself coming back to Bavarian for the good memories. Unfortunately, this has led to a natural accent forming. While it has begun to fade over time, the presence of this accent is fairly noticeably and at times it may be a little difficult to understand the Quincy for the uninitiated. Due to this bilingual nature, Aia is rather good at swapping from one language to the next and vice versa multiple times within the middle of sentences. Though she understands that this may seem annoying to some.

{Spirit Stride}
While utilizing her Spirit Stride, Aia takes on the form of a wraith. This gives her a rather translucent appearance. Even if it wasn't, her colors begin to become rather bleak and lifeless. Skin color, hair and other features such as clothing simply get replaced by a poncho with drapes that fall to the floor. Aia's face is also covered while utilizing Spirit Stride. Exactly what lies behind the veil is unknown as nobody can physically interact with her body in this state. While Aia can unveil it, she does not necessarily care for it. She recognizes that she could look like a beautiful spirit underneath or have the horrifying visage of a brutally murdered spirit.
Her hair elongates while taking on the form of a spirit, shortening in front, but lengthening in the back. This falls down to her lower back. A lovely flower crown adorns her head above the veil, giving her the overall appearance of a bride that enjoyed life, but now haunts those who enter her dominant. Her arms become rather thin and share the same bleak color. Meanwhile, her fingers become similar to claws. Sharpened and vicious though she cannot interact with anything making it almost pointless. It's much more for aesthetics than anything. She is able to move with almost a serene grace befitting a spirit, benevolent or not.
Within Aia, visible beneath the drapes and below the dress is a teal glow. It appears very similar to the type that adorns her runes and later her eyes when utilizing Vollständig. Upon utilizing Wraith Walk and arriving at her destination, anything or anyone that gazes upon her will see the spirit burn away as Aia emerges similarly to how a Gigai functions. The glow within her slowly burns away like fragments in the wind, but are swiftly replaced, almost as though she were bound to this plane by an otherworldly force. Taking on the appearance of a spirit, this could be seen as true, but Aia ultimately understands that it is a transformations that she is imposing upon herself.

{Vollständig Appearance}
Aia's Vollständig is much different from other Quincies. While her Vollständig shares the indominable trait, it is much less holy. In fact, her Vollständig appears more unholy. Upon assuming this form, Aia gains a rather menacing set of armor. Appearing like a mix of leatherwork and plate, Aia appears much like a Death Knight while assuming her Vollständig. The armor that clads her body is adorned with all manner of decorations, mainly symbolizing death with skulls and a rather bleak coloration. Steel-shoulder guards adorn her shoulder while part of her face is covered by a hood that forms from the armor. Additionally, a thin flowing cape manifests along her back. The overall appearance is sturdy yet torn.
Aia's physical features also change to accommodate the altered state that Vollständig provides. Her skin becomes noticeably paler as if she were malnourished or stuck in a snowstorm. Her hair becomes a little longer and more flowing despite her undead appearance. Her lips darken and her sense of warmth disappears. If one were to touch Aia, she would feel as cold as a corpse. Aia's eyes also develop an eerie blue glow. This scourge-like glow present in her eyes seems very whispy and almost ghost-like. Overall, Aia takes on the form of a revenant. A spirit given unholy life, clad in impressive defenses with a mighty greatsword at her beck and call.
Even though entering Vollständig leaves Aia bereft of her bow, she is able to manifest a greatsword that is similar in size to the Runeblade she carries with her Form Property. Much like that Runeblade, her greatsword in Vollständig is adorned with a beautiful set of carved runes. These runes always appear active though gain no benefit from Aia's ability to claim souls for her own. Additionally, the base of the blade is adorned with a similar looking skull to the one on her chestplate. Both of these decorations have the same eerie blue glow as the runes and Aia's own eyes. The blade itself has a rather menacing look, appearing as though it threatens to cleave anyone it meets in two.

"The Shinigami. Such a self righteous and arrogant people..No. People is perhaps too kind. Vermin that plague this world. We would be better off without them. Should one cross my path, unless my mission is dire, it would be a crime not to send them straight to hell."
"For Hollows and Arrancar, refer to my above argument for Shinigami. A pest. One that seeks to destroy my people like those damn Soul Reapers. Plus, their touch inflicts wounds...painful wounds to my people. They must be done away with though my hatred from them pales in comparison to the Shinigami."
"This may be hypocritical, but I truly do hate despicable behavior. Murder without cause. Genocide. Betrayal. All actions that I feel deserve to be punished. This applies to anyone. Even my own fellow Quincy. At least I'm honest about my actions."
"I have to keep this one a secret. If my fellow Quincy ever found out...well. They may think I'm crazy. I...really dislike using my bow. It just doesn't suit me as much as my blade. While I can use the bow in an advantageous situation, I am certainly an anomaly..."
"For someone like me. Who enjoys interrogations and torment, why in the Emperors' name, do some people enjoy it? Pain isn't supposed to be pleasurable. I need to find some way to convert that feeling of joy into anguish. Now that would be fun. Hearing those who normally enjoy it, truly scream."
"I have a profound problem with those who cannot hold their tongue. Those without filter with an inability to recognize a superior. I may be crazy and hell, even admit it but I know how to act in public. I've learned well to wear a mask. Perhaps others will learn to do so as well."
"Let us consider an ant for a moment. An ant is at the mercy of all those around her. The ant is weak. Dependent on its entire collective. Alone, the ant can't make it very far in this world on their own. This idea is why I refuse to be the ant."
"Unfortunately, this is rather common even among my own people, but true arrogance really gets under my skin. Dealing in absolutes. Thinking nobody is your equal. It is rather vexing. There is a beauty in learning from those around you. Even if they are lesser than you."

"Is it any suprise that the Emperor is at the top of this list? He is the one who gave me a home. Who gave me purpose. A cause to believe in. Before him, I was walking in the dark. Always looking behind my back. Now I never need to worry about that again.
"Second only to the Emperor, the Sternritter are my idols. Hand picked by the Emperor to be an elite fighting force. Much like the Espada of Hueco Mundo or the Captains of the Soul Society. Though part of me envies the Sternritter. Perhaps I could be one of them one day..."
"The blade I wield has devoured countless souls. I suppose in a way, eternal damnation is something I am fond of. Not for myself, but for my enemies. For those I truly deem worthy of such torment. After all...my runeblade hungers for more."
"A good book has never been anything short of a good time for me. I have heard that there is a Quincy among us who has an interest in books herself. Apparently, she's even able to focus her reiatsu into paper. What a beautiful ability. I hope I get to meet her one day."
"Call me morbid, but there is something so fascinating about blood. Not just the way it acts as fuel for the entire body, but just how simply an imbalance can disrupt homeostasis. The wrong blood type or a pocket of air in the vein. Such a fascinating aspect of the body."
"As I said before, at least I am honest about my demented qualities. I would consider myself to be proficient in the art of interrogation and torture. No. Actually, I think I love it. The screams. The spray of blood. It's all so...thrilling. But I need to be careful. Keep wearing my mask."
"You know, I feel envious of Quincy converts. They have the honor of casting off their former impurities and becoming part of the Vandenreich. To effectively purify themselves and pledge themselves to the Emperor. Oh how a joyous occasion. Unlike some of my fellow Quincy, I welcome them to our glorious Empire."
"I suppose my past betrays me. Part of it has clung with me even till now. My love of gothic fashion. While some may see bleak colors, I see lovely expressions. Besides, I find that black and grey fit well in most palettes. Now if only I could dye my uniform..."

"As much as I hate to admit it...I can be a bit of a hothead. Yes it gets me into trouble, but sometimes I cannot help it. The Runeblade. It whispers to me. It craves more. Sometimes its impossible to not just go wild. While the calm voice of reason from another can be enough to settle my hotheadedness, the irrational sometimes beats the rational. Perhaps some therapy would do me some good. Musical Therapy perhaps as a good example..."
"Perhaps it is my heritage, but one of the vices of the city never escapes me. A good drink. Be it a Radler, Colaweizen, Bier or any other kind of alcoholic beverage. I will happily partake in these social situations. Thankfully, I am not an alcoholic, but I can certainly hold my liquor. Besides. Life is too short. Especially for us. We should enjoy it while we can. Perhaps I could even forgive a Shinigami or an Arrancar if they partake in this vice."
"I have to admit that I can be a little...lascivious. What can I say. When I see someone I like, I do comment on their more sexual features. Unfortunately, I've found that some are put off by it, while others seem to believe that I am showing interest. There may be a degree of truth to that, but as of right now, my devotion is to the Vandenreich. To our Emperor. I can hardly get involved with someone else since it may detract from my duties."
"While I consider it to be beneficial to what I do, I have found that my sadistic tendencies can be rather...off-putting. Torture and interrogation are like a dance to me. A dance in which one of the partners inevitably breaks. It's only a matter of time. Unfortunately, my tendencies have caused me to break victims a little too quickly in the past. It's why I like the strong-willed ones. Perhaps I should learn how to hold myself back a little more in the future.."
"I am what you may call overzealous individual. I believe in the cause of the Vandenreich and I would give my life for them. To this end, I understand that I can be unwilling to see other views. Yet this also made me suspicious of conspiracy. As one of the many children to the Emperor, I need to do my best to protect the Empire that he has built for us and all Quincies. Of course I would never confront someone directly until I was absolutely sure. If I do discover of a plot, there will be hell to pay."

"I've never been one for lying. Nor for giving false hope. I have been known to be honest. Almost brutally so. Both to my allies and my enemies. While I can bluff, I certainly prefer to tell the truth. It's the same reason why I don't like dealing in absolutes. Some may consider this unnecessary or even off-putting. Me? I've come to accept that I am who I am. Although, others have learned that my compliments are never facetious due to this trait."
"This one may be a weird quirk, but I wonder....what does a soul taste like? My Runeblade devours them like a glutton yet always craves more. Do they taste like chicken? Are they gooey? Fullbringers can stretch souls so they must be malleable in texture. Of course I'd never try it myself. After all...I'm not that demented. At least I think? What if I and someone else were stuck in an elevator? Would I try to find a way to eat their soul? Huh...food for thought."
"While I do admire the beauty of Silbern, I would be remiss if I did not admit my love of gardens. Plant life truly is beautiful to me. I am told that one of the former Sternritter had a beautiful garden. Unrivaled within all of the Vandenreich. I wonder what it was like. To walk through the archways and admire the precious life that relies on us. Maybe I should create a garden somewhere in the world. A peaceful place to be alone with my thoughts. Yeah. I think that's what I'll do."

"I would be lying if I said that there wasn't some sense of dread when looking upon my Runeblade. Sometimes, I can hear a voice calling out to me. It sounds like my own, but...more twisted. Yeah, I don't know how that's possible. It has a complete disregard for anyone, even myself. I fear that it sees me as a vessel. I worry. Perhaps one day, I will fall victim to my own blade's ability to fragment and devour my soul. It is due to this that I've learned never to trust its whispers."
"Snakes. Gods, how I hate snakes. Scaly and possibly venomous. I know that I shouldn't be afraid, I am a Vandenreich Quincy after all. Something about it though just causes me to stop in my tracks. I just can't let anyone know. I know that they'd make fun of me. Aft-....AH! IT'S A SNAKE!"
"Hollow Poisoning...I've seen it quite a few times. Quincies' groaning in agony. Sweating and begging for the aid until the sweet release of death claims them. Truly a terrible fate. Even my own desire for pain and suffering doesn't allow me to cherish these dreadful moments. I fear the day that I become victim to one of these ghastly curses. If that day comes, I pray to the Emperor that a Quincy will show an act of kindness and purify the filth from my body."

{Goals}
"If I had to name my foremost priority, it would be my duty to the Emperor and his Empire. I want to exercise the Emperor's will to the best of my abilities. Even if that means that I may need to work with others that I have little joy working with. As long as it is done in his name, I should shed any blood for him. Even my own. If my dead would serve the Empire, I would do so in a heartbeat. Such is the total devotion to our cause in the Vandenreich."
"Ever since I became one of the Emperors' children, I've coveted a position among the fabled Sternritter. They are the top of the food chain. The Emperors' favorite. Strong, reliable and cunning. I'd even have a hope for the letter I desire if I ever were to join their ranks. Befitting my position as a Knight of the Undead, R would be the most fitting letter for me. A girl can certainly dream of glory and valor in the future. Though I am not just a bystander. I will become a Sternritter one day."
"I hope that I one day have the opportunity to welcome one tainted by other reiatsu into the Vandenreich. The pierce the heart with Quincy reiatsu would be an honor and I would love to assist in that grandiose ceremony. Even if it means aiding a Shinigami, I would help them cast off the taint that befouls their soul and help them ascend to a higher plane. To be accepted openly by the Emperor. To expand the ranks of the Vandenreich is what I desire."

Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Overall Personality: What one needs to understand about Aia is that she is an individual that constantly wears a mask. It is not a physical mask nor one made of reiatsu. Instead it is more of a metaphor for her dual personality. Subscribing to the swiss psychiatrist by the name of Carl Jung, she believes that everyone wears one of these masks. Only few get to see the true individual beneath the mask. Some get to see it in combat. Others, possibly witnessing her interrogations, may also get to see the Aia that she hides behind this mask. No matter the reasoning, the two sides are vastly different although some of it may bleed over to the other.
To start, Aia's most common personality is that of a gentle soul. In fact, she could even be described as good person. In a way, Aia is. Years of wearing this mask has made her forget the devil that hides underneath at times. It has allowed her to truly develop relationships outside of just faking them. Although Aia does still select her friends carefully, that individual is a friend for life and deeply beloved by Aia even if it is just platonically. While her care for friends does not supersede her devotion for the Emperor, she will in certain situations prioritize a friend if met with the difficult challenge of choosing between the safety and even life of a friend and her duty to the mission.
If there is another aspect of Aia that is truly pure it would be her devotion to the Emperor and by extension the Vandenreich. She feels a type of affection for the Emperor. Perhaps due to not really knowing her own father or the fact that the Emperor refers to the Quincy as his children. Overall, it is an interesting dynamic that the two share even if she does not directly say it. Despite that, her devotion to Him is absolutely. It is due to this that she shares a certain kinship with her fellow Quincy. Free Quincy are a little different in that regard to her, but she still respects all Quincy. However, her hope is that the Free Quincy see the truth about the Emperor.
If there is one thing that Aia has a bit of a passion for it would be baking. She very much enjoys to craft baked goods not only for herself, but also for others. The type of baked good isn't too important, but Aia does have a preference for a Germanic food known as Krapfen. She very much enjoys sharing it with her fellow Quincy. Of course hanging out with these same Quincy is also something she does not mind doing as long as they can have a good time. Her mask is not necessarily just related to work. Although at the end of the day, Aia's passion for baking is very real.
For as much that Aia tries to hide her inner true self, no amount of deceit, charisma or other social charms are able to hide the chilling and menacing aura that she gives off. This is a rather persistent sensation that she gives of. Those who are not naturally attuned to it may find themselves feeling cold around Aia. It is this unsettling feeling that can make others sense that something is off about her. Despite this sensation, which Aia would deny anyway, she does her best to keep up a happy demeanor. After all, she has been doing it for a while.
At her core, Aia can only be described as a villain. Her demeanor is that of a sadist and an expert torturer. Due to this, she can be rather manipulative, knowing how to twist the truth to fit her needs. Due to this twisted personality, Aia enjoys the process of torture, interrogation and human suffering. In a way you could consider her a student of human nature. She herself is not truly aware where this psychotic nature come from. She just knows that this is the real her and accepts it rather openly.
Despite her twisted nature, Aia does see trust and friendship, but in a much different way when she looks at it from behind her mask. While wearing her mask, Aia looks at friendship as a benefit to her, but in a more benevolent manner. While looking at it from her true self, Aia sees those she trusts as useful. As long as someone seems useful to Aia, she will aim to protect them and even aid them. This mainly applies to those who are not part of the Vandenreich. She trusts her superiors just about as much as she places her absolute trust in the Emperor and the Vandenreich itself. They are her comrades and superiors.

Fighting Style: Aia, as a Quincy, has a rather unorthodox fighting style. When most envision a Quincy, they may imagine an arrow-slinging ranged attacker. Aia can, in fact, fill this niche but she is far more effective and deadly when up close and personal. When fighting like this, Aia prefers the use of a greatsword in favor of a bow. Despite the bulky look of her greatsword, she is very proficient with it, preferring a rushdown style of fighting. Using rather heavy swings and cleave attacks, but understanding that the greatsword is just another type of blade. Stabbing is an option, though the idea of bisecting her targets is far more desirable to her.
Her first property, Runeblade of the Fallen Crusader, is what allows her to be such a menace up close and personal. The 4 ft long blade allows her to keep a fair distance between herself and her opponent. Additionally, the heavy swings and cleaving attacks that she can perform with them have the potential to make her even more deadly. At the end of day, anyone can assume that getting hit by her greatsword will prove to be deadly if not severely damaging. Using the blade, Aia can also utilize it as a form of mock shield. While it cannot protect much of her, it can work in a pinch. Though Aia has other techniques at her disposal for the purposes of protecting her.
Her second property, Wailing Arrow, is Aia's only ability that affects is utilized with the bow. By spending a secondary resource to empower a set of arrows, Aia can assault her targets with horrific wails. These screams, similar to that of a banshee, make it extremely difficult to concentrate. In fact, this allows her to combat that pesky Kido by disrupting the targets' ability to effectively concentrate on a mental incantation. This also allows her to use the natural exploding property of the Vandenreich to effectively create area of denial zones. These zones inflict the same inability to concentrate. It is this lack of concentration that prevents the target from using techniques that require concentration or otherwise have a maintenence cost.
Her third property, Jailor of Souls, is by far Aia's most important ability. It is a primarily passive ability that allows her blade to strip away at the soul of her victims. Using this natural ability to rend the soul itself, Aia is able to collect Soul Shards and instill hopelessness and despair in her opponents. These Soul Shards can then be used for other abilities whether that means being able to activate the ability itself or empower the existing property to new heights. Jailor of Souls is equally her greatest weakness as the hunger of the Runeblade grows over time and if not satiated, will slowly begin devouring Aia's soul. This encourages her to quickly collct Soul Shards to both satiate her blade, but also unlock one of her most potent abilities.
Her fourth property, Runeforging, is a very adaptive technique. Working together with the Hungering State of her Runeblade which unlocks the runes on the greatsword, Aia is then able to invoke these runes in a variety of ways. Each one of these runes affect the way her strikes affect the enemy or give the runeblade itself a new resource to absorb. From being able to inflict wounds that cause intense pain, to being able to absorb reiatsu based attacks to even being able to inflict absolute terror in her opponents, Runeforging allows her to adapt her style. Using Soul Shards, she can then emblazon these runes, allowing them to become even more powerful.
Her fifth property Spirit Stride, is a powerful utility and defensive tool. By taking on the form of a wraith, Aia is able to become incorporeal. While this prevents her from interacting with the material world, it also prevents the material world from interacting with her. With it, she can pass through solid walls and objects, opening up her movement potential. By utilizing Spirit Shards, she can even use a unique step technique that is very similar to Ulcera, but is for the most part hard to trace except for those with specialties in detecting the soul itself. Being able to shift in and out at a moments notice, albeit incurring some time before she can utilize it again, allows her to deal with equally powerful physical threats.
Her sixth and final property, March of the Damned, utilizes the Soul Shards that Aia has accumulated and allows her to shape them into mimics of life. Being able to summon zombies, ghouls and even Death Acolytes, she can only do so in limited quantities. While the Zombies and ghouls are largely unimpressive although boasting large numbers, the Death Acolyte's act as Aia's personal apprentices. After all, what is the master without an apprentice. These Death Acolytes have an inscription upon their soul, allowing them to gain diverse abilities. Once all Death Acolytes' have been assembled, Aia has her own personal Knights of the Apocalypse at her beck and call.
While each one of these properties is versatile in their own right, they work best if combined. The most basic combination is Jailor of Souls and Runeblade of the Fallen Crusader. Both of these serve as the basis for most of her other properties. By allowing her to collect Soul Fragments and channel them into the runeblade, Aia is then able to use them to enhance her combat abilities, but she can also utilize them in the aforementioned ways to bolster her fighting prowess and increase her legion of followers. While Wailing Arrow requires Runeblade of the Fallen Crusader to be deactivated, it does let her assume a ranged position if it is needed.
Together with the aforementioned combination, Runeforging can be used to improve Aia's melee prowess and change the way she fights. Rune of the Grievous Wound may be used against an opponent proficient in healing. Rune of Spell Absorption may be used against a practitioner of Kido while Rune of Spell Reflection allows her to turn those same Kido against her opponent. Meanwhile, Rune of Hysteria may be used to take advantage of the natural fear and paranoia in every warrior provided by a tense situation. This versatility allows Aia to change to accommodate the style of her opponent.
Spirit Stride is primarily intended to be used with Jailor of Souls as it provides no benefit besides defensive qualities and movement enhancement. Nevertheless, it serves Aia well in her arsenal, allowing her to bait other physically inclined foes and quickly swoop in for a vicious counter attack. The ability to transcend the physical boundaries of walls provides the possibility of infiltration as she can seemingly disappear into walls and reappear somewhere else. This provides Aia with an all important utility that she otherwise does not have. Wraith Walk allows her to be slippery and utilize tactics of misdirection and suprise which would not be expected of a fighter of her type.
Finally Marched of the Damned works only when utilized with Jailor of Souls, but is even better when Runeblade of the Fallen Crusader is implemented. While she can summon a limited amount of undead, Aia is able to collect more Soul Shards to bolster her undead army. Additionally, the undead themselves last until killed. While Zombies may be fragile, Ghouls are more resilient and Death Acolytes are the supreme undead that Aia can utilize. Boasting impressive strength and abilities using their Aspects, Death Acolytes are the pinnacle of her undead army. Ultimately, its effectiveness varies against those with powerful area of effect abilities, but the undead swarm is powerful regardless.
When utilizing Völlstandig, Aia's strategy itself does not become too different, but losing the versatility of her bow release definitely hurts. What Aia loses in versatility, she gains in survivability and offensive output. Able to use a kind of unholy regeneration, Aia will have that extra layer of insurance in case things go south. Additionally, her armor provides with impressive physical durability. Together with Soul Rend and Spirit Shroud, Aia is able to naturally make those around her suffer while also being able to forcibly rip out the soul of her victims. This effigy allows her to put her opponent in a defensive position almost immediately.
Bow Release Overall Theme: The soul. A unique signature that characterizes each individual. It is the soul that Aia used in her release. While Fullbringer may choose to manipulate the soul, a feat that Aia is incapable of, she instead possess the ability to dominate the soul and bend it to her will. With her cursed runic weapon she is able to strip a victim's soul, layer by layer. With this, she has the ability to empower her runeblade, become a spirit and even summon the souls of the fallen to fight for her. At her core, Aia is a tormentor and her Runeblade is hungry for more souls. Utilzing both spiritual and physical prowess, she is able to adapt on the fly become terrifying commander of the Undead Legion.
{Bow Properties}
{Class 6 - Form - Runeblade of the Fallen Crusader}
Runeblade of the Fallen Crusader changes Aia's bow to a greatsword. This blade is unique as it is in fact a sentient weapon. A piece of Aia's soul, fragmented and sealed into the weapon, allowed to fester. This has made the soul sealed within blade effectively a different individual. It has the capability to communicate telepathically with the wielder and possesses an endless hunger for souls. The blade itself is a 5 ft long blade consisting of a 4 ft long blade with a 1 ft long handle. The blade measures to a width of about 1 ft while the whole crossguard sits at 2 ft. This gives it a very bulky, but intimidating appearance. The blade is a navy blue color that jags halfway along the blade with a gap at the front of the blade, giving it a two prong like appearance. An intricate looking skull adorns the hilt and part of the blade. Finally, the blade itself is decorated by 5, normally inactive runes. These runes activate and glow an eerie color when exposed to souls fragments as listed in Jailor of Souls. This runeblade allows Aia to change from a archer to a brutal close range fighter.

{Class 5 - Form - Wailing Arrow}
Wailing Arrow is a form property that naturally affects the arrows that Aia fires. While they still appear the be arrows, they are in fact a collection of souls gathered from Jailor of Souls. The arrows fired while this property is active have the standard costs, however, there is also a Soul Shard cost. One Soul Shard is able to fashion 5 wailing arrows. When flying through the air, a faint screech can be heard around the arrow. When a target is hit by arrows fashioned from this property, they are assaulted by a cacophony of dreadful wails of the souls of the damned. This affliction befalls them for 2 posts. This naturally makes concentration difficult. Being afflicted by these wails makes Mental Incantation impossible requiring verbal components for amplifying Kido. Any technique that requires concentration or focus to continue utilizing the technique over multiple posts cannot be used until they are no longer afflicted by Wailing Arrow. This can only be negated with a Calm Mind/Focused Eye of 2 or higher. Victims who are deaf or can nullify their sense of hearing are immune to the wails produced by this affliction.
Wailing Arrow also affects the detonation of arrows that Vandenreich are capable of. When an arrow affected by this property is detonated, the explosion instead becomes a swirl of souls that apply the Wailing Arrow afflication for as long as the target is within it. These swirls have a 10 ft radius and do not have an explosive yield like regular detonated arrows. These swirls remain in place and last for 2 posts. When leaving the swirl, the victim is afflicted by Wailing Arrow for 2 posts similarly to if they were hit. If they were to enter one of these zones, the duration of the affliction is refreshed. It should be noted that when an arrow is modified by Wailing Arrow, the arrow nor the explosion harm the foe.

{Class 4 - Power - Jailor of Souls}
Jailor of Souls serves as the backbone to Aia's release. While it is active, it grants Aia the ability to tear a fragment of the targets' essence when her weapon rends flesh. This fragment serves as a secondary resource simply known as a Soul Shard. Collecting Soul Shards is only possible using Runeblade of the Fallen Crusader. Soul Shards, however, last until consumed even if Runeblade of the Fallen Crusader or Jailor of Souls is deactivated. There are 2 ways to collect Soul Shards. The first is when the blade rends flesh. Each time, the blade rends flesh, it collects 1 Soul Shard. The second way is a physical clash between the blade and the opponents spiritual weapon. Stripping the soul from its victim is a traumatic experience. When this occurs, the victim feels emptiness and hopelessness. This can be avoided with a 1 in Strength of Will/Calm Mind/Lack of Fear. Soul Shards are available to Aia until used. She can hold a maximum of 20 at any given time. These Soul Shards can be used for her other abilities to empower them or be used as a resource for March of the Damned. While Aia primarily uses the Shoul Shards she collects for other abilities, the runeblade grows stronger as it feasts on these Soul Shards. Upon reaching certain thresholds, the Runeblade itself gains benefit. If Jailor of Souls were to be deactivated, Aia retains the current state threshold of the Runeblade, but removes any progress to the next stage. Additionally deactivation during Ravenous and Hungering states will pause the timer. Reactivation will resume the timer where it left off.
Ravenous - Upon initial activation of Jailor of Souls and Runeblade of the Fallen Crusader, the runeblade is in a ravenous state. This also occurs if no Soul Shards have been harvested. At this point, the Runeblade offers very little benefit and actually is more of a detriment as it lusts for souls from friend or foe. To start, Aia has 3 posts to obtain a Soul Shard. For every Soul Shard obtained, this post counter increases by 2 posts. Upon reaching 0 posts, the Runeblade begins to feast on Aia's soul. This translates to a 5% decrease in stats every two posts as the blade slowly feeds on Aia's own vitality. Every post that the runeblade isn't feeding on her soul, Aia regains 5% of her lost stats.
Hungering - Upon the runeblade harvesting 5 Soul Shards, the weapon is now in a Hungering state. At this point, the blade also activates its runes. These runes are required for using Runeforging. The amount of time Aia has to obtain a Soul Shard carries over from the Ravenous state. Now, however, each Soul Shard increases the counter by 3 posts, giving Aia more breathing room. Should this counter fall to 0, the runeblade continues to feast on Aia's soul for 5% of her stats every three posts and recovering 5% per post that it isn't feeding.
Sated - Upon the runeblade harvesting 10 Soul Shards, the weapon is now in a Sated state. From this point on, the runeblade will no longer feast on Aia's soul. The runeblade also gains a major benefit. Having tasted souls frequently, the runeblade once it is in a Sated state will harvest 2 Soul Shards. It should be noted that this is not taken into consideration when calculating the runeblades' progression. Each time the blade harvest Soul Shards, it counts as 1 for the purposes of progressing the state of the blade. Additionally, a Will/Calm Mind/Lack of Fear of 2 is required to avoid the feeling of emptiness and hopelessness.
Gorged - Upon the runeblade harvesting 15 Soul Shards, the weapon is now in a Gorged state. This is the pinnacle state of the runeblade as it has feasted on enough souls to evolve. The runeblade at this point will be able to harvest 3 Soul Shards from its victims. The hopelessness now becomes despair and the victim may lost the will to fight. A Will/Calm Mind/Lack of Fear of 3 is required to overcome this feeling despair and lost will to fight.

{Class 3 - Power - Runeforging}
Runeforging gives Aia the ability to emblazon the runes on her rune weapon. While Runeblade of the Fallen Crusader has 5 runes on it, she is able to emblazon a rune to give her weapon or herself a unique benefit. Along with the property activation cost, emblazoning a rune has a 200 reiatsu cost tied to it. Upon emblazoning a rune, it is active until deactivated. Upon deactivation, the rune becomes dormant and cannot be used for any other purpose. A rune remains dormant for 4 posts. Runes can be empowered when emblazoned. Doing so grants a stronger benefit, but takes 3 runes to emblazon and a cost of Soul Shards. These 3 runes upon becoming dormant remain so for 4 posts as well. Additionally, only one rune may be active upon Runeblade of the Fallen Crusader at any given time. If another runeforge were to be applied, the former runeforge deactivates and the associated runes become dormant for 4 posts. The runes from Runeforging come in two different flavors.
Rune of Festering Wounds - While this rune is emblazoned upon the runeblade, Aia's strikes have the ability to deal blows that provide more pain and suffering. These wounds, appropriately named Festering Wounds, induce a severe pain. The skin around the wound appears more damaged and cracked. The wound itself appears red and infected with purulent discharges being rather common. Overall, not a very pretty sight. The wound itself, as mentioned before, is more painful and requires a Pain Tolerance of 2 to ignore. These wound are very receptive to healing, requiring no additional input to heal. This includes both HSR and external healing such as Kaido.
Rune of Terror - While this rune is emblazoned upon the runeblade, Aia's strikes that normally induce despair, instead induce a heightened fear. Any time Aia strikes her opponent while this rune is active, they will feel a terror that chills their very bones. This terror is directed at Aia. This fear will last for 2 posts after being struck. Her physical form may appear distorted. Almost wispy. Soon, she may appear to become ghost-like, borderline demonic even. She will become a frightening visage that may compel one to flee. To escape the face of death and fear itself. To overcome this profound fear, a Lack of Fear 2+ accomplish this. Alternatively, a Strength of Will 2+ may help them face their fear, but they will still displays little shivers or indications of fear. A Lack of Fear of 1 will reduce the fear to lasting 1 post.
{Rune of Grievous Wounds}
This is the empowered variant of Rune of Festering Wounds. To empower Rune of Festering Wounds, 4 Soul Shards need to spent to do so. Now, strikes dealt with the runeblade apply a Grievous Wound. Much like before, these induce a severe pain. The wound itself appears even more infected while the skin around the wound appears to be almost destroyed. These wounds require a Pain Tolerance of 3 or above to ignore. Unlike Festering Wounds, Griveous Wounds are more difficult to heal. When healing a Grievous Wound, healing needs to be applied for 2 full posts. This includes both Kaido and HSR. Additionally, when healing the Grievous Wound, the healing needs to be concentrated upon that wound. This means that only one Grievous wound may be healed at a time. Not healing either wound will result in excess levels of pain that may make fighting more difficult.

{Rune of Hysteria}
This is the empowered variant of Rune of Terror. To empower Rune of Terror, 4 Soul Shards need to be spent doing so. If Rune of Terror caused fear towards Aia, Rune of Hysteria instead induces a severe paranoia to the environment. This fear lasts 2 posts much like before. This fear will not be directed at Aia. This means that her form and appearance will no longer change as the victim is afflicted with this fear. Instead, something far more sinister occurs. While a victim is afflicted by this hysteria, there senses will be treated as 450, but only for the purposes of detecting sounds. Victim who already has 450+ senses will simply develop the paranoia component of this effect. This heightened awareness is more of a curse, however. Distant voices will sound like nearby cries. The snap of a branch or the crunching of leaves may appear starling to the victim. This makes it difficult to concentrate as every little sound threatens to throw the victim off balance. A Lack of Fear 3+ will help overcome the fear-related aspects of this rune. A Battle Focus of 3+ will help overcome the concentration-related aspects of this rune. Calm Mind of 3+ can only help mitigate fear/concentration issues, but will never fully erase it. A 2 in any combination of Lack of Fear, Battle Focus and Calm Mind I.E 2 in Lack of Fear and Calm Mind will reduce the exposure of fear to 1 post.

{Class 2 - Heart - Spirit Stride}
Spirit Stride allows Aia to assume an altered state. Holding dominion over souls, Aia is able to assume the form of a spirit herself. A wraith, or the spirit of a recently departed, to be exact. While assuming the form of a wraith, Aia gains a few benefits. First, as a spirit, Aia attains an incorporeal state. Much like a spirit, physical objects are incapable of interacting with her. This means that physical techniques would simply pass straight through her with little to no resistance. It is this incorporeal nature that allows Aia to pass through solid objects such as walls, furniture, etc. Techniques that impede movement will still affect her as long as they are spiritual in nature and have a superior OS to Aia. Techniques such as Cero, Bala, Kido similiar to the aforemention, etc. will continue affecting Aia. This inability to interact with other objects extends to Aia as well. Any physical attack with her that Aia could execute such as a punch or using her runeblade would cause her blade to pass through the target as well. To this end, Aia has to become corporeal again to begin interacting with the material world once more. While moving through objects, Aia's needs to move at 1/2 her speed. If Spirit Stride becomes deactivated while Aia is in an object or a wall, she is forceably shunted to the nearest empty space and suffers a physical force equal to 2x her OS. Spirit Stride grants Aia an additional modification unique to her movement abilities. This modification is known as Wraith Walk.

{Wraith Walk}
Waith Walk is an abiltiy that acts as a step technique modification. This can only be used while Spirit Stride is active. Additionally, Wraith Walk is only able to affect step techniques such as Hirenkyaku while it is not being used in its constant variations. Upon any use of a step technique such as Hirenkyaku while Spirit Stride is activated, Aia can instead pay 200 reiatsu and 1 Soul Shard per step to use Wraith Walk. Wraith Walk is similar to Ulcera, but with a few modifications. Upon using Wraith Walk, Aia is able to move at 10x her speed. The Shadowlands is a realm that looks similar to the current environment, but has a very whispy and ghost-like appearance. Additionally, any colors that may be present in the material world are muted and appear to be grey. Upon using Wraith Walk, Aia cannot be tracked through normal means. Techniques like Pesquis or similar will also not work to detect Aia. An Energy Sensory of 300 or higher will still be able to detect Aia's general location. Each point in Anti-Stealth will decrease the ES requirement by 50 points to detect Aia. Upon rematerializing in her location, a faint howling sound can be heard from Aia's location. For those that are unable to sense Aia, this may seem more akin to teleportation.

{Class 1 - Soul - March of the Damned}
Marched of the Damned enables Aia to utilize the Soul Shards that she has collected, shaping them into undead thralls to destroy her enemies. Proper utilization of March of the Damned requires Aia to spend her Soul Shards. She may spend as many as she has up to 20 at a time. The amount and type of undead that she is able to create depends upon her selection of undead as well as the amount of Soul Shards that she has spent at that time. Aia is able to fashion several different types of undead. These include: Zombies, Ghouls and Death Acolytes. Each type of undead has a predetermined, but unique stat selection with each stage of undead providing a more powerful asset. With zombies providing cheap yet swarming numbers whereas the Death Acolytes are second only to Aia herself in terms of capability. By collecting more Soul Shards, Aia could in theory improve her army infinitely if no undead that she summoned perished.

{Zombie}
The zombie can be considered the most basic undead. A foot soldier or infantry that can be summoned en masse. Each Zombie that Aia summons using March of the Damned requires 2 Soul Shards. This in turn allows for a maximum of 10 zombies to be created at once. There strength does not lie in their abilities. Instead the strength of these zombies is in their ability to overwhelm the opposition. Other than their numbers, the average Zombie carries with it no special ability. Zombies have an inability to be affected by cutback. While these hoards are relentless and mindless, they are rather fragile. The stats for each Zombie is as follows.
Strength: 200
Speed: 250
RS: 0
SpPr: 0
Senses: 50
Instinct: 100
HE: 0
Strength of Will: 1

{Ghoul}
The Ghoul is a bolstered undead that while fewer in number than the Zombie, is a vicious predator that seeks the cravings of flesh and bone. Each Ghoul that Aia summons using March of the Damned requires 4 Soul Shards. This allows for a maximum of 5 Ghouls to be created at once. Ghouls, much like their Zombie counterparts, share no special abilities. Ghouls have an inability to be affected by cutback. Instead they are more resilient and overall, more powerful than the basic undead that Aia is able to fashion. The stats for the Ghoul is as follows:

{Death Acolyte}
The Death Acolyte is a supreme undead that Aia can summon. Much fewer in number than Zombies and Ghouls, these undead act as Aia's personal posse. Each Death Acolyte that Aia summons using Marched of the Damned requires 10 Soul Dragments. This allows for a maximum of 2 Death Acolytes to be created at once. Unlike their Zombie and Ghoul counterparts, each Death Acolyte has an Aspect inscribed into their very being. Only one Aspect of Death may exist upon any Death Acolyte at any given point. Granting one Death Acolyte an Aspect prevents Aia from assigning another the same Aspect unless the original is destroyed. This grants each Death Acolyte a unique ability. The unique ability that each Death Acolyte possesses costs 300 reiatsu to toggle and is deducted from Aia's reiatsu pool directly. Each effect that is active increases Aia's stamina drain by 50. As such, each Death Acolyte shares her SpPr, but cannot induce cutback. Finally, unlike the aforementioned undead, each Death Acolyte has a unique personality based on the Aspect. The stats for the Death Acolyte is as follows:

{Death}
The Aspect of Death allows the Death Acolyte to invoke necrotic energies within both touch and blade. Any time that the Death Acolyte were to touch or strike the opponent, the physical contact produces an almost corrosive effect to flesh similar to how Quincies are affected by Hollows. This necrosis produces a very painful reaction in the victim. Furthermore, this pain lingers for as long as the victim is exposed to the nercrosis. A Pain Tolerance of 3+ will be able to ignore the severe pain felt by this Death Acolytes touch and strikes. The lingering pain can be ignored with a Pain Tolerance of 2+. Finally, this necrosis may be healed via HSR or any Kaido/Ability that surpasses the Death Acolyte's own OS. Kaido may use HE for clashing. Alternatively, a technique that mimics HSR, heals through constructs, etc. would be an OS clash. HSR such as that used by Arrancar, Akki, etc. scale off of OS for the purposes of this Aspect. Upon inscribing the Aspect of Death, Aia loses 300 reiatsu.

{War}
The Aspect of War allows the Death Acolyte to call upon the very avatar of war. This allows the Death Acolyte blessed by the Aspect of War to call upon greater martial abilities along with resisting far more grievous wounds. While the Aspect of War is active, the Death Acolyte gains a point in Weapon Skills: Greatswords and in Pain Tolerance for a maximum of 3 in both skills. This effectively makes the Death Acolyte inscribed with the Aspect of War far better at combat than its peers.

{Famine}
The Aspect of Famine allows the Death Acolyte to induce a terrible hunger that cannot be satiated. This is induced by a 20 ft aura around the Death Acolyte blessed by the Aspect of Famine. This hunger may only be resisted with a Strength of Will of 3+. Additionally, it produces a guttural pain that may be resisted with a Pain Tolerance of 2+. While the hunger is not being resisted, the victim afflicted by this terrible hunger suffers in their combat capabilities. Battle Analysis and any Weapon Skills that the victim may possess get reduced by 1 to a minimum of 1.

{Pestilence}
The Aspect of Pestilence allows the Death Acolyte to inflict a mild disease upon the victim. The Death Acolyte's very touch or blade inflicts a pestilence among the victim. One that prevents quickens the stamina lost by excessive movement. While afflicted, the victim's stamina drain is increased by 150. This means that if they are moving at 150 speed, their body will perceive movement for the purposes of stamina drain as if they were moving at 300 speed. Upon application, this disease lasts for 2 posts. Any reapplication refreshes the duration. A Poison Resist of 2+ will reduce the duration to 1 post. {Divine Form - Bulwark of Undeath}
Bulwark of Undeath allows Aia to attain a temporary state of Undeath. While she using this Divine Form, she also attains an armor and appearance resembling that of a Death Knight. The armor itself is able to protect her from trauma inflicted from physical attacks less than her OS. It provides no protection from spiritual attacks. Additionally, Aia is granted use of a runeblade that is similar in dimensions to her Form Property, Runeblade of the Fallen Crusader. Though this is not the true power behind Bulwark of Undeath. While utilizing this form, Aia gains a unique form of High Speed Regeneration. Unlike a heightened metabolism, however, Aia's body is instead being held together by dark necrotic energies. Anything short of brain or other internal organ injury will be healed due to this ominous force animating Aia. Wounds will close shortly after being inflicted. Flesh will heal as soon as it is damaged. To those that she is fighting, Aia may appear like an unstoppable killing machine. Pain, however, is not minimized except for by Aia's natural Pain Tolerance. Just because she appears undead does not mean that she feels no pain.

{Divine Power - Soul Rend}
Soul Rend at its core is a rather simple ability though able to be used with great effect. All this times, Aia's blade has been able to rend soul from bone, but never fully separate the two. Soul Rend, however, quite literally separates the soul itself from its victim and gives it physical form. Upon coming into contact with the victim in any way, Aia can spend 500 reiatsu and forcibly tear the victims very soul from their body. This effigy is a spitting image of the victim. The effigy itself does not speak. It does not move. Nor does it use any of the victim's techniques. Instead, this effigy is directly linked to the spiritual/physical body of the victim. This means that whatever occurs to this effigy occurs to the original victim and vice versa. If the effigy were to be cut, the same cut would appear on the victim's skin. The effigy itself gains no benefit from defensive techniques such as Hierro meaning that damage to it will be inflicted directly upon the victim. When techniques are used on this effigy, only 75% of the OS is deal to the original victim. All associated effects still work as long as the modified OS still allows the victim to be affected. Upon dealing any lethal blow to the effigy, it does not mimic the same mortal injury, but instead returns back to the victim. The victim, however, suffers a pain as if they were struck by Aia's weapon in the area where the lethal blow was dealt. By the same token, the effigy will never outright kill the victim.

{Divine Soul - Spirit Shroud}
Spirit Shroud is an ability that allows Aia to draw all the wayward souls trapped in her Runeblade to come out and assault all those around her. These spirits manifest in a hail of screams and whispers that surround Aia in a 20 ft radius. These are effectively the souls of the forever tormented allowed to roam free around Aia. Anyone in a 20 ft radius of Aia will be met with a cacophony of whispers similar to her Firing Property, Wailing Arrow. A Strength of Will and Calm Mind of 3+ are required to avoid succumbing to the horrific shrieks. Those who are not resolute enough with withstand it may find it rather difficult to fight Aia. Anyone within this sea of souls will find themselves being scratched by countless spirits. The scratches have an OS equal to Aia's. These scratches are numerous and a Pain Tolerance of 2+ will ignore the pain experienced from these souls. Each 2 posts that at least victim spends within this shroud increases its range by 5 ft. Additionally, this natural sea of souls has a profound effect on the spirit of the victim. For each post that a victim spends within Spirit Shroud, they will experience a 5% decrease to stats. They need to remain within the shroud for the whole post for this to occur. This 5% decrease to stats can accumulate 4 times for a maximum of 20%. A victim suffering from this malady of the spirit recovers 5% for each 2 posts that they spend outside of the shroud. Entering the shroud at any point will refresh the duration of the drain.

{Blut}Technique Name: Blut (“Blood”)
Class: 3
Technique Type: Vandenreich Technique
Usable By: Vandenreich only
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
Blut, translated as “blood,” is a powerful technique that is passed down through all pure-blooded Quincies of the Vandenreich Empire. This technique is a gift from the Vandenreich Emperor, and only exists as long as he, or someone of similar power who as assumed his role, is alive. Channeling that leader's power through their very veins, Vandenreich Quincy are able to draw upon it and make use of it either defensively or offensively in combat. This technique is not active by default, however, and a cost must be paid to trigger it.
The first half of this technique is Blut Vein, the defensive half of the ability. Acting similar to an Arrancar's Hierro, Blut Vein allows the user to protect themselves on the skin level, preventing any physical damage to the body as long as the user possesses a superior offensive stat. Unlike Hierro, though, this armor will not degrade over time. However, attacks with impact behind them can still send the user flying, though the bodily damage will be negated. Blut Vein costs 300 Reiatsu per post to keep active.
The other half of the technique is Blut Arterie, which focuses on offensive ability. While this ability is active, the Emperor's power flows through the user's body and soul, doubling either physical or spiritual stats. This takes up one of the user's long-term stat boost slots, and costs 500 Reiatsu per post to keep active. Note that only one of these two techniques can be active at a time; if one is activated, the other is deactivated.
How to use technique:
Spend Reiatsu to draw out the latent power in the user's blood.
Technique Drawbacks:
The first major drawback to Blut Vein is that it can be bypassed in one of three ways. First, if the opponent's offensive stat is higher by even a single point, then Blut Vein is ignored. Second, if the opponent is of a superior Class, then Blut Vein is bypassed. Finally, “final forms” of Release, such as Bankai, can ignore Blut Vein.
Blut Arterie has its own drawbacks as well. When active, Blut Vein is removed, removing the user's defenses. Aside from taking up a stat boost slot, the user is constantly funneling excess energy through their body, which is a tiring effect over time. Finally, while active, the user draws in half as much Reiatsu per post as normal, as they are focused on output more than they are on drawing it in.

{Hirenkyaku}Technique Name: Hirenkyaku
Class: 4
Technique Type: Quincy Technique
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
Analogous to the Shinigami Shunpo or the Arrancar Sonído, the Quincy Hirenkyaku allows the user to move quickly over short distances; according to many Quincy, it is faster than flash steps, though a Captain's superior speed in comparison to a Master Quincy's speed suggests that this is just a generalization. Using it in its base form increases speed 10x for a single step, and costs 50 Reiatsu. However, unlike Shunpo and Sonido, this can be used for a constant movement as well. Giving up 400 Reiatsu allows for a constant movement over the duration of one post at 6x speed. Giving up 1000 Reiatsu allows constant movement over the duration of 3 posts of 4x speed.
How to use technique: To perform the technique, the user gathers spiritual particles under their feet and rides them to the desired location. Like the air-walking skill displayed by most Arrancar and Shinigami, it can also be used to hover or fly for long distances.
Drawback: None

{Ransotengai}Technique Name: Ransotengai (Heavenly Puppet Suit)
Class: 4
Technique Type: Quincy Technique
Usable By: Quincy (All)
Technique Element: Spirit
Technique Description and Effects:
A useful technique whose use had been lost through the ages and only recently rediscovered, Ransotengai is an ability that allows the user to create strings made from spiritual particles. These strings can be attached to the user's body, allowing parts of them to be moved around in a manner similar to puppets. One string can control a single limb, or the head, and one string is attached to each finger, giving a total of ten strings. Doing so, however, leaves the hands occupied and unable to be used for other abilities while this is active. The main use for this is to enable the use of a limb that has been damaged, or to counteract torn muscles or broken bones to ensure that one can still move, albeit with great pain. Upon mastery of this technique, it becomes that much more versatile; these strings can now be attached to another person besides the user, though this is only able to function as a support technique due to the frailty of the strings.
How to use technique:
Draw in Reiatsu and turn it into fine strings that attach themselves to the user or, at mastery, to another person.
Technique Drawbacks
The first drawback to this technique is that while it enables the use of damaged parts of the body, it doesn't necessarily restore function as much as it simply puppets the area about. Steady pain is a symptom from this, along with a reduction in effectiveness; any physical attacks made through a puppeted limb is treated as though its offensive power is halved. Additionally, any drawbacks that damage the already-damaged area are either doubled in potency or advanced one tier, whichever is worse, depending on the technique.
The second drawback comes when puppeting another person; these strings are frail, and can be broken easily. When attempting to grab a hostile foe, this technique is simply shattered by pulling against it, as it requires voluntary permission to be controlled. They can also be snapped by any attack with half the user's Reiatsu Strength or more when used to puppet another person, as a foe can simply sever the connection by striking the strings. This doesn't work when the user is puppeting themselves, as the strings flow along their body, so there's no way of stopping it short of severing the limbs.

{Advanced Air Ground}Technique Name: Advanced Air Ground
Class: 7
Technique Type: Spiritual Technique
Technique Description and Effects:
This is a technique designed especially for breakdancing and parkour, utilizing a more advanced version of air ground. While in a terrain where air ground exists, the user can create more complex surfaces like air walls, air ceilings, air ledges and even an air push. This allows the user to perform handstands and windmills on air as if it were normal ground or even stand upside-down on air as if gravity was reversed. The air push makes the air ground very elastic so that the user can jump higher and allows for slight movement even when restrained by a bakudou.
For a reiatsu cost of 25, the user will be able to momentarily cast an "air ground" on areas such as soul society and heuco mundo, allowing the user to "double jump" or cast shunpo in midair. If this technique is mastered, the user will be able to create air grounds that last for as long as a post. This can be used in creative ways to improve acrobatics and visual impressiveness.
Drawback: No drawback.

{Hohle Schneide}Technique Name: Hohle Schneide
Class: 7
Technique Type (Kido, Hollow/Arrancar Technique, Human World Dweller Technique, Other): General Reiatsu Technique
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): Quincy
Technique Element: N/A
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect):
The Hohle Schneide itself is a long, seemingly solid blade formed from reishi. It's hilt and crossguard are the same shape as the Quincy Cross of it's summoner. If the summoner's cross is not of the standard design (e.g. If the Cross is a pentacle), the sword will take on a crossguard which tapers to a point at both ends. The blade will remain the same, no matter who summons it. It will be long, and made of a dull silver metal. It will have a long gap down the centre, revealing the sword's true nature. The sword, hilt and all, is hollow. This makes it possible to use this technique without using a huge amount of reiatsu, hence why it is available to the lowest level Quincies.
The Hohle Schneide has a similar power to Selee Schneider, in that it can dislodge spirit particles by striking opponents. However, instead of adding the reishi to the users reiatsu, the sword absorbs it itself. It then focuses the reishi on the edges of the sword, making the next hit landed with Hohle Schneider not affected by cut-back, with no deduction from the users reiatsu.
How to use technique (How is it activated?):
The summoner places their hand before them, and the incantation is said. The sword will then manifest immediately at a cost of 25 reiatsu points. It costs no reiatsu to maintain.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc)
It is susceptible to all the drawbacks of a standard sword, including cutback. The sword can also break. If it does, the user can reform it, but the user will have to deduct the reiatsu again, and the power of Hohle Schneide resets. Due to the drain it places on one's reishi manipulation ability, Quincy of class 4 or lower cannot use it in conjunction with a bow. Also, it requires one post's worth of charging after it's first hit in order to activate the 'cutback block' effect. This power last until the user ends the technique, or if the sword breaks.
Incantation: " Smite the enemy with hollow steel"

Incantation: " Smite the enemy with hollow steel"
{Combat Cutback}Technique Name: Combat Cutback
Class: 4
Technique Type: Reiatsu
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): Anyone with 300+ SpPr
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Affects: Persons with high spiritual pressure are known for their large reiatsu pools, but they also tend to be known for their weaker reiatsu strength, which means they have a ton of reiatsu, but not that much to actually use it on. This techniques entire purpose is to take that sheer volume of reiatsu and turn it into a viable, dangerous weapon.
The user builds up a pool of reiatsu internally, increasing the internal pressure, before channeling it towards a set of limbs, such as the hands or feet, discharging it as a weapon. By doing this the user can harness their reiatsu into physical striking power, allowing them to match a physically stronger opponent blow for blow, or possibly even beat them. Upon initial use the user pays 75 reiatsu per 100 strength, maxing out at their spiritual pressure, but afterwards the per post upkeep drops to 25 per 100. The amount of force generated can be changed once per post, going down merely drops the upkeep, but going up, the user must pay the initial upkeep as well as an additional 75 reiatsu for every 100 strength they add to the technique.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): Building up internal reiatsu before focusing it on a set of limbs such as hand hands or feet (or other applicable appendage like a tail). Before mastery of this technique only a single limb, such as one hand or foot, may be selected at a given moment, after master is obtained both may be used at once.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc): Besides a fairly large initial cost and a moderate per post upkeep this technique only has one major drawback; reiatsu burns. When using this technique the user is forcing a large amount of reiatsu to be funneled through a relatively small area, so extended use can be dangerous. 1st degree burns begin to form after about 3 posts, 2nd degree after 5, 3rd after 7, and finally after 9 posts the chosen limb becomes borderline useless and the technique can no longer be used in that area. Healing, specifically of the burns, will reset the timer of this technique.

Birthplace: Vienna, Österreich
Current Residence: Vandenreich
Memorable Figures: Emperor - As the God of all Vandenreich Quincy, the Emperor holds a special place in Aia's heart. Both out of loyalty and admiration, Aia follows the Emperor with absolute loyalty. So intertwined is she with her loyalty, that little bouts of paranoia have begun whispering to her ideas of rebellion and conspiracy stirring within the Vandenreich. Even if this were true, Aia has faith in the Emperor's ability to calm his people. Regardless, she is a loyal servant and aims to prove it.
Erna & Jakob Kristal - Erna and Jakob are Aia's mother and father respectively. Both are Quincy making Aia a pure Quincy before even joining the Vandenreich. Her mother often told her stories when she was younger about vicious beasts, threatening to pluck naughty children out of their beds. This was her way of describing Hollows. Erna did well to teach Aia of her rich heritage, not only as hailing from Austria, but also her Quincy heritage. Jakob is more significant for his absence as Aia did not know him very well.
History:
{Chapter I - Humble Beginnings}
Born in Vienna, Austria, Aia is the product of Erna and Jakob Kristal. Born to a family of lower-middle class, Aia did not have a very luxurious life growing up. With no older or younger siblings and a father who would soon walk out on their family, Aia only had her mother to look to for guidance. Her parents being Quincy, Aia had pure blood running through her veins unbeknownst to her. It was not until later that she would discover what culture she hailed from. Being addressed by a number of typical German endearments from Schatzi to Mäuschen, Aia developed a strong familial bond with her mother. The two were truly inseparable.
Every night, her mother would tell her bedtime stories of terrible and vile beasts who would seek out naughty children and drag them away into the forests. Erna was of course referring to Hollows. Black beasts that one needed to watch out for. In hindsight, these were ghastly stories, but they certainly prepared Aia for the trials to come. Staying out of the woods and watching out for the horrific black beasts that her mother was telling her about. It wasn't until her spiritual abilities truly developed that Aia was ready to interact with both pluses and see Hollows. Before then, she had trusted her mothers' judgement.
As Aia grew more and more spiritually inclined, she began to affiliate herself with her first plus. Starting to understand them and learn of the fate that befell them. Each time she met a plus, she was saddened by their inability to move on. They needed some kind of a ritual by these Soul Reapers? This bewildered the Quincy as she heard rumbling in the background. One of the black beasts that her mother talked about. A Hollow. Smelling the air for fresh prey, the Hollow immediately turned to both Aia and the young plus. In an attempt to escape, Aia ducked in a corner, followed by the plus. As they ran, however, the forgotten spirit tripped.
Turning around to see the fallen spirit with the Hollow in tow, the young Aia was met with a terrifying choice. To try to safe this spirit and possibly lose her life or turn tail and run, leaving the spirit to a horrible fate. After a few moments, Aia dove for the spirit and tried to help her up. Unfortunately, the Hollow naturally faster got to her first. In mere moments, the screaming plus had been devoured, brutally eaten alive by the vicious Hollow. Aia in disbelief looked to accept her fate. Suddenly, a flash of light shot past her and hit the Hollow. Within a few moments, the Hollow itself had begun to fade away. Looking behind her, Erna was standing with a bow made of light. Running to Aia, mother embracing child, the two of them returned home as Erna had a lot to explain.

{Chapter II - Rise of a Quincy}
Years passed and Aia would learn the truth of her other heritage over time. She learned that she was an Echt Quincy. A Quincy of pure blood. Being rather inquistive, Aia wanted to learn all about her second heritage. She was already quite in touch with her Austrian heritage. It was time to learn of the Quincy side. Her mother would tell tall tales of the Quincy. How they were once a diverse and proud people until their culture became obscure. It would take years for Aia to learn the truth of the Quincy purge among other more serious topics from her mother. Regardless, Aia was curious to learn more about another culture.
As the young Aia began to learn how to manifest a bow, similar to the one that her mother saved her with, she would sneak out into secluded areas or even the nearby forests. With difficulty, she learned to start maintain her bow. The trouble came in her arrows. Crafting them and firing them was equally challenging and Aia certainly had difficulty utilizing her newfound weapon. Practicing with artificial targets that were often homemade, Aia made it a goal to improve her archery. After all, she had to one day protect her mother just as she had protected Aia that fateful day. The young Quincy certainly did look up to her mother.
As time went on and Aia grew older, her proficiency with the bow would grow. Not only that, but her ability to manifest arrows finally became more reliable. Creating multiple at once and even beginning to learn how to guide arrows, Aia was slowly becoming proud of herself. It was then as she shot the arrow that there was a faint rumble again. Her mind took her back to that day when she was powerless to help the Plus. Well. Today she had the power to defend herself and others. Quickly running towards the sounds, she saw it. The Hollow who was walking around the forest, looking for souls to devour. Aia breathed calmly and attempted to steel herself.
With impressive dexterity and accuracy, Aia began to pelt the Hollow with numerous arrows. Despite being comparable to the Hollow, none actually pierced the mask. As such, Aia watched the Hollow begin to turn towards her. With a labored pace, Aia began to run around, using trees to her advantage. Continuing to pelt it, but none landing its mark, Aia was eventually slammed against a tree. Pinned by her waist against the tree, Aia struggled as the Hollow was drawing closer. With one last desperate plea and an arrow show true, the Hollow stopped in its tracks. The wind blew, but no other sound was made. Slowly, it slumped over and Aia breathed out triumphantly as it faded away.

{Chapter III - A Death in the Family}
It was a rainy day, but Aia and her mother Erna were heading out to the marketplace to get some groceries. After a long day, both of them winded, the pair was on their way home as they move through an alley. This would be their greatest mistake though as suddenly, a group of four individuals appeared, clad in black clothing. Wielding swords, they all sneered and chuckled. Aia looked at her mother who was growing uneasy and bit her lip. It didn't take a genius to figure out that this meant trouble. As the group of Shinigami peered at them, all four of them drew their blades. Aia's eyes widened with panic as she watched them.
One of them, clearly the leader, spoke. "Well well, gentleman. Look what we have here. Two Quincies. I'm sure they will reward us in the Soul Society for adding another pair of fugitives to the pile." Erna breathed out as she muttered under her breath, only for Aia to hear. "Schatzi..Lauf!" Aia wasn't ready to heed her mothers' warning, however. Dropping what she was carrying Aia, with swiftness, manifested her bow and let out two arrows towards the Shinigami behind them. Caught off guard, Aia took out the two of them with little effort. Piercing their heads and slumping over. This immediately alerted the remaining two, however.
Erna, manifesting her own bow, began to unleash a volley of arrows towards the help. The leader made his way towards Erna, ready to rush her down and slay her on the spot. Firing an arrow at him and rushing him down, Aia utilized Hirenkyaku along with her bow to try and kill them leader, hoping it will disperse the other. Though it was a short battle. In one swift motion, Aia felt a pain in her waist. She looked down. The Shinigami had cut her. The wound was deep and bled profusely. Aia fell to the floor, whimpering as she gasped. The pain was more than she could handle. Her view was now upon her mother.
She was now forced to watch, helpless on the ground, as the remaining Shinigami ganged up on Erna. Despite her experience, she was no match for two Shinigami together. Almost as though time was slowing down, Aia watched as her mother, the woman who she loved to no end was cut down. The spray of blood touched her face. It was her mothers' blood. The light in her eyes soon faded as Aia herself passed out from blood loss. After the darkness was lifted, Aia woke up in a shock. She was in a hospital. Patched up with doctors wondering what exactly caused a nasty wound like that on her waist. Though, the image of her mothers' last moments was burned into Aia's mind. The face of the Shinigami responsible. She would make him pay dearly.

{Chapter IV - Vengeance of a Death Knight}
It was not until many years later that Aia would finally earn her revenge. She began practicing ever since that fateful day. Training to slay this Shinigami. It took a long time, but she had finally received intel on this particular ones' whereabouts. As time went on, the bow that Aia wielded would become a blade. A might greatsword. As she grasped the pommel, she blinked. She was a Quincy. Why did her bow become a greatsword? There wasn't any time to question it. The time had come. The time for her revenge. For this Shinigami to meet his end. Ailene threw on a coat and made her way to the location as she was told.
Once she reached the area, she began to notice a signature in the air. Both a Shinigami and...a Hollow! She ran and leapt upon the building tops. Making sure to keep her signature suppressed, she watched as the Shinigami was battling the Hollow. She could tell. This was indeed the Shinigami who slew her mother so many years ago. It was so close. She could taste his blood. Her eyes were focused on him. Watching with brutal efficiency. Like a hunter making notes of her prey's moves. As the Shinigami slew the Hollow, he let out a audible sigh and Aia knew the time had come. Leaping off of the building, she began to make her way towards the Shinigami.
As she drew nearer, she could feel a certain hatred. It was different though. It wasn't just hers. She could feel something. From the blade. It seethed yet also shook with excitement. Just then, Aia heard a voice. It was a voice so much like her own. Only this one sounded twisted. Demented. With a laughter in her voice, she heard it speak. "aia...Aiaaaa. The time has arrived. You've been patient. You've stalked your prey. End him. Allow me to feast on his soul so he may never hurt another." The Quincy was far too drunk, thinking of her own revenge, to properly respond. She simply nodded. With a surprised expression, the Shinigami exclaimed. "Huh? Didn't know we had more coming? What Squad are you?"
Aia quickly made her move and ran towards the Shinigami, blade drawn. He only just barely raised his blade to parry Aia. As their blades clashed, Aia looked into his eyes. She spoke with red-hot malice. A chilling tone to her voice. "I am Vengeance. I am your Reckoning. I am the Harbinger of your Demise..." Quickly feeling overpowered, Aia launched him with a kick. Falling onto his back and knocking the wind out of him, Aia towered above him. Her blade raised above his chest. He tried to plead. "W..wait. D..do-" Without mercy, Aia plunged the blade into his chest, drawing blood as he sputtered and whimpered. With one labored breath, he perished. Her vengeance was finally complete.

{Chapter V - Sworn into Service}
As the run rose and color touched the world once more, a figure could be seen in the graveyard. It was Aia. With flowers. Walking to her mothers grave, she knelt before it. It had been many years since that day. She had done it. She had avenged her. With a heavy breath and a tear falling down her cheek, she placed the flowers on the soft fertile dirt. With the other hand, she drew a dagger. Raising it above her head, she muttered to herself. "N..now Mom. I can finally join you..." Clearly an attempt on her own life and with nobody there to stop her, Aia with one last breath, plunged the dagger downward. Closing her eyes, she simply hoped for the sweet release of death.
For a moment, there was no pain. She was wondering what happened. Suddenly, she felt resistance. Opening her eyes, she looked up upon a man. Towering above her kneeling form, he held Aia's wrist to stop the dagger from plunging into her. Her hand shook and her cheek was still stained with a tear. She did not now what to say. She wanted to scream. But she didn't. Something compelled her not to. With a smile, the man spoke. "Remain calm. Aia of Erna and Jakob Kristal. I am like you. I am Quincy." Aia was even more speechless now. He was Quincy? He wore a white uniform with an emblem imprinted upon his shoulder.
As he looked down upon her, he carefully plucked the blade from her hands. Smiling, he flipped it in his grasp and spoke. "You are of little value dead. You have a precious life and you should live it. Yet your talents are wasted here. Follow me. Let me show you a path that you can follow. One with the Vandenreich. Allow me to show you my Majesty." Aia blinked. This was all so weird. Then, the voice she heard so many months ago spoke again. "I can sense it. Many souls. Shinigami souls. Follow him. Eradicate Shinigami. Allow me to feast..." She gulped a little. A world without Shinigami. Now that was a world that was worth fighting for. Aia rose to her feet and spoke. "Lead the way. Show me your Majesty. Your Emperor."
The Quincy before her only smiled. Within a few moments, Aia found herself in Silbern. She looked around. It was dazzling. Absolutely beautiful. She followed the Quincy into a palace-looking structure. She was nervous. She then saw dozens of Quincy lined up. As they made space, she saw Him. Sitting atop the throne. It took only one glance. Aia saw power. She saw leadership. She saw a new world order that he was going to structure. Aia, feeling compelled to kneel, showed her respects. She spoke. "M..My Majesty. Please allow me to join your cause. Allow me to pledge my services to you." As she looked up, the Emperor only smiled. She knew her life was about to change.
