As the ground around the area fell cool, Uli stood tall in the crowd, staring over the mass of people walking around like nothing was wrong. He loomed over the crowd of every day citizens as he stood, several plastic shopping bags over his right arm, filled with ingredients he had decided to pick up. This was his third night in Japan, searching for someone to further teach him in the ways of the Quincy that had been forgotten by his traveling tribe. They had arrived three days ago by ship, landing several miles north of this town he was currently in. He sighed as he continued looking for the ingredients he needed to make for his tribes meal. It seemed that making a little over fifty people a simple meal was something that Japan was not accustomed too like those in Europe, where they traveled from.
"Yakisoba is just supposed to be a bunch of beef and noodles.... So why is it this hard...?" Uli sighed again to himself as he entered the butcher, shopping through the beef. He was a member of Xcution, but he still held a reasonable responsibility for his people. They traveled wherever his assignments were and they themselves actually held no fighting capability over the hollows that followed him. But still, Uli needed them for something much greater than simple company. They were Quincy, blood dwindled of power, but still had the bloodline within them. They could prove much more useful by bearing children of future remarkable talent. And with that he had his chance at revenge....
He was suddenly jostled back to his current place as the butcher handed him the bag of meat, a little over fifty pounds. He smiled and handed over his money, which were Euros. However the shop keep stared at the money and began raising his voice. Uli had learned Japanese early on in his life, his parents teaching him many languages at a young age. The man was shouting that he didn't accept Euros. Uli held up a hand and retorted, "I don't care what you accept. Every other shop accepted it earlier!" They were shouting back and forth, Uli getting angrier as he felt the aggravation cause him to sweat in his leather outfit, the sealed off heat only coming up through the neck gape where his head came out of the outfit. He could feel his left hand slowly approaching to where he had hidden a weapon inside of his leather jacket.
Finally Uli just turned and walked out, the sweat coming down from his blonde hair, standing straight up like pine trees of gold on a pale earthen surface called his forehead. He saw the steam come off of his body as he walked outside into the colder temperature. It was very unlike Uli to get so frustrated, but he had people to feed and no one he had met yet could teach him how to better control his spiritual energy. He wanted his revenge, needed it more than anything. As the butcher began to follow Uli outside, he smiled and took off running, hugging all of the bags to his large body and running off into an adjacent alley. He then made his way north, towards some forest that his people were making camp in.
Once he arrived, it was around 10 at night, the sun having fallen beneath the horizon and hidden itself as the moon approached. Uli looked up at the dark sky, envying the moon a bit as he stared. It could hang there forever and people would continue to admire it, but it had no care in the world. Noone to feed, noone to hunt down, and noone hunting it. It simply stayed there for the glory of existing. With that, Uli smiled and watched over his people as they made a fire and began to cook the meat and boil the noodles as he instructed. A traveling fool who worked from a prepaid cell phone, that was Uli.
