The small orb vanished after Irina touched it having given the last of the soul dregs to the three misfits. From there with Abaddon's quincy bow returned to him it was a simple matter of killing off all the dreglings. They quite literally didn't see it coming in any capacity. And given how fast they travelled there was nothing they could do. All of the dreglings fell on the ground dead where they stood. With a couple landing in the fire pits they were next to and beginning to burn and aid the disgusting stench in the air with thier own flesh.
Moments after all the dreglings were killed off they each had small white fragments form above them. These fragments then coalesced into a small orb similar to the orb they'd just picked up. This orb then split into three and dived for each individual. Once it came in contact with the user it broke apart and entered them as the soul dreg prior had. This process was painless and though oddly energizing would all be said and done within a matter of moments.
With the bridge cleared of any enemy that might have tried to attack them the trio was back to their original question. Would they proceed towards the gate and go up the stairway on the left? Or would they explore the execution site? They'd need to get the gigantic gate open and given it's size there was no doubt that a mechanism was needed to achieve this. And if any had the idea to try and attack the gate itself they'd find it strangely resilient, even to their spiritual attacks. Glowing a dull gray before the attack was dispersed. Thankfully they had as much time to decide given the dragon was nowhere in sight and nothing else was alive given Abaddon's flurry of shots. The only things with them was the stench in the air, a pleasant breeze, and an eerie silence aside from distant fires crackling.
+160 soul dregs for everyone. (+20 soul dregs per dregling killed)

{Maruss weapon ability}
Release info:
Bloodhound: Once release the weapon emits a crimson reiatsu that covers the entirety of the axe head and the shaft. For the next 6 posts the weapon gives the user a supernatural sense of those around them with blood on them or in them. They can "hear" it rushing around or "smell" it on them if a being has it on their clothing or body. This works up to 60 feet from the user. They will not be given a mental picture of those who fit these criteria but they will get a sense of where they are in relation towards them.
Also when the axe hits an opponent, shield, or weapon the individual is marked. While marked the individual is "spotted" and thus allows any projectiles fired from the user to home in on the individual. And if they are within the 60 feet distance of the user their position is known and cannot be hidden from them by any means short of a higher class technique. (This counts as a class 4)
A creature with a 2 in Stealth can avoid the "smell" or "hearing" aspect if they are not marked. Also if they have any technique class 4 or higher that hides their presence they are hidden as long as they have no mark. Lastly if an individual has no blood this has no effect on the target. Nor can they be marked.
