The pain from the cut was all too real, but still she knew that wouldn’t have been able to evade such a strike. He was much faster than she was expecting and the smell of blood filled her nostrils, along with the strange sensation of feeling faint. She’d managed to stay on her feet: but only just. The stare that he gave her, though, made her blood run cold. It was a man that looked devoid, as if he had lost not only emotion, but also ambition and compassion. The look made her ponder, for a moment, if the man that she was looking at was the same man that she’d been speaking to at the bookstore.

The pain that seared through her shoulder made her wince, and gnash her teeth. It was times like this where she wished that she were much stronger. Had she been so? Oh, she would’ve wiped the floor clean with this guy. As it was, though, she wasn’t stronger and, because of that, she knew that she now had a bargain to keep. Her side of the deal, that if she lost then she would join Xcution, this odd organization that she knew nothing about. She wondered what, exactly, he was going to have her do, even as she sat on the floor and held her shoulder.

It was an odd sensation, meeting someone that was so much stronger than herself, and she couldn’t help but let her disapproval of the current situation by showing her teeth. In a way, she would’ve admitted that she looked very wolf-like, but as he ripped the blade from her shoulder, she slowly and laboriously struggled to her feet. She glared at him for awhile and then, through gritted teeth, she gave a light shrug with her other, working, shoulder. “Well, I guess a deal is a deal. I’ll join this…elocution.” She chuckled as she purposefully mispronounced the name.

Abaddon kept his eyes on her as she slowly stood up, the way she moved and the loss of blood coming from her made him realized that she was more likely than not ready to give up on the rest of the fight and the ridiculous idea of getting him naked. Once she did admit that she had lost and that she was more than ready to join Xcution, even if she did say it’s name wrong he lowered his guard a bit and undid the Selee Schneide that he had held in his hand. The hilt rested in his hand as he slowly placed the hilt back onto his belt.

“After we heal your shoulder, we’ll deal with all the paperwork that needs to be filled out to properly get you into Xcution.” Abaddon’s words were said with a cold tone as he was still in the mental state of fighting, something that would take a bit of time for him to simply adjust back to how he was before. He could tell that as a quincy she was weak, much weaker than he originally thought and it would take a lot of training to get her to be strong enough to survive an attack by the Vandenreich. The way she dealt with fights was also something that would need to be taught as well.

“I really was hoping that you were a bit stronger than I originally thought, even taking it easy on you I was able to get the upper hand.” There was a bit of disappointment in his voice as he took a few steps away from her and formed a bow aiming it away from her. “Still I wonder how you would have dealt with me if I went all out.” He spoke in a cold tone as he notched back and arrow, the arrow would start to glow and then rapidly turn into a superheated orb of plasma. A bright light and intense heat would fill the entire room blinding anyone besides Abaddon who was looking in the general direction. The heat alone would dry any sweat on Cecilia’s body as well as start to slighting burn her skin. He fired off the arrow and as it hit the wall he willed for it to go away.

The light would fade away, right infront of Abaddon in a line the steel floor had melted away and across the room in the wall a mass of the wall had melted from the heat. Abaddon offered Cecilia a hand to help her to the medical center. As they would treat her he would start to calm down and resume acting the way he had been in the bookstore. The show of him firing off his arrow was to show Cecilia that she can never be too cocky about anything, something that Abaddon knew far too well because of his own past life. He thought that he was able to skirt around the noble and reap the rewards, however in the end he paid the ultimate price.

Through her squinted eyes she could see the stone-cold expression. Someone who wasn’t afraid of using a blade unlike her, but she did agree to a spar and this was no time to be fooling around. She wondered if he had seen through that she lacked any training since she got here. She gave an annoyed sigh and corrected her stance even if her shoulder was in pain now after the blue blade was free.

“Well, I don’t think I’d give you much of a challenge for a newbie like me,” she said quite honestly. She’d just have to suck it up on her pride not having been prepared and having no skill in summoning her weapon or having equipment. “To be fair I rely mostly on my companion...but he’s not with me right now.” she continued with a slight smile. “What is it I could do?”

Abaddon offered his hand to Cecilia his expression softening as he started to get back to the way he was before. His release sealed the heat fading over time he was ready to help her tend to her wound and get the paperwork done so that she could officially join Xcution. He had high hopes for other quincy in the organization. It would be a great boon to Xcution if they had quincy to help combat the relentless recruitment that the Vandenreich was doing. If Cecilia too his hand he would lift her up and carry her in his arms towards the elevator and towards the medical center.

He had no way of knowing how much blood she had lost in the time they had spared along with that there was also the fact that the shock of being actually stab could possibly cause her to pass out, or at least he assumed. He wasn’t sure what she had been through so there was no telling how she would fair in trying to get there by walking. Still he had to admit carrying her in the princess style was a bit embarrsing for him given that she was many times her elder and it felt awkward to carry what was essentially a child like a bride to the infirmary.

It wouldn’t take long to get there and once they started treating her Abaddon would respond to her as to what she could do. “You need to train, honestly there is nothing else that should be on your mind till you become strong enough to use the first bit of your power.” Abaddon said as the medical staff started to heal the wound. “However for today just rest and get the paperwork done for signing up for Xcution.” The last bit was said in a softer tone with a bit of kindness behind it. Abaddon would know what to do after this, he would have to send an email to Shizuka about Cecilia and why she should be accepted in Xcution as well as her possible uses.
