This was it. Celes felt the Byakurai discharge from her fingers and the Mod Soul seemed to be caught almost completely unaware by the attack. It seems that despite this though, the same could not be said for Mike. Feeling even the slightly bit of movement due to her arm being clamped, Celes suddenly felt herself twist and turn as Mike violently slammed her repeatedly and just overall was going crazy due to Celes attempted attack on Dia. Celes was admittedly impressed with the beasts loyalty and ability to react.
Celes, in shirt glimpses, her Byakurai shoot off into the air simply due to how Mike was beginning to move her. All in all, Celes felt herself groan after Mike's little scene. She could feel the tension in the air as Celes made no more attempt. The writhing that Mike had just put her through was good enough for now and honestly, was overpowering. Taking another one of those would prove to not only be difficult to get back up from, but may make the next tantrum even more violent. She just stood still.
The Shinigami did look at Dia with a look of both admiration for her ability in battle, but also dissapointment as she understood this would be the end. Celes was combative, but even she understood a losing battle now when she saw one. Even moreso, she felt that she could go with her honor left intact for herself if she atleast submitted with some sense of dignity. The Shinigami closed her eyes, imagining that the blade of burning reiatsu would sear and burn her very flesh. She then also felt her head move according to Dia's whims.
As Celes felt something poke her cheek, she tensed up in response to this, but it felt warm to the touch. Unlike what she imagined it to be. After this she opened her eyes and noticed that the blade was indeed touching her skin. She blinked rapidly at Dia who seemed to be tuning down her ability to not even pierce her flesh. Celes tilted her head at her. The Shinigami would then notice her lunge at her and hug her. This was unlike how she was a bit ago where she seemed hell bent on beating her down.
Celes then heard a little remark from the girl hugging her. "You're not half bad Shinigami. I half expected you to just straight up try and shoot me in the head the first chance you got at full strength. But you kept your word~ So I guess you must be alright... for now." Celes would begin to chuckle and shake her head a little. As she heard Dia hum, she noticed a hand being extended to her. Celes took her hand and helped herself up along with any assistance Dia was providing. This certainly was a mood shift...
Celes sighed and just continued shaking her head. "There is no honor in underhanded tactics. You proved to be better than me in battle and that is just how it is." Celes began to move her arm as she now had free use of it, feeling the pressure lighten and being allowed to maneuver it. She just looked up at the sky and groaned. "I will admit...despite not having teeth that shark hurts...especially after that little slam towards the end..." Celes just chuckled a little and looked at Dia. She was admittedly suprised with the sudden change in attitude.
When the two had met originally, they exchanged only hostilities with Celes Byakurai and Dia trying to shoot her unprovoked. Then again she was a Shinigami and would most likely be widely regarded as unfriendly. This was very reminiscent of Shizuka's first interaction with Celes. When they met, she had no niceties for the Shinigami, but after that encounter, it seemed Shizuka had eased up on her judgements a little. Perhaps it was just with how weak Celes was at the time. Either way, the Shinigami chuckled a little bit.
As she continued to look at Dia, she just shrugged. "Well a deal is a deal. As an Unseated Officer, I can't really write an effective report about you. So I guess that part of the deal can easily be fullfilled." It was then that Celes remembered the other part of the deal. This was most likely the silliest part of it, but she couldn't resist that she owed this girl something. "Guess I owe you an Xbox now as well..." It was then that Celes actually remembered what she was curious about. "I know this was not part of the deal and you of course do not have to answer...,but what is with the wing...and that shark.." She refused to name the one who had been on her ass this entire time in the fight by name. Even she could be a little spiteful..
