"Wait, there's another Arrancar here?" Adolf asked, generally confused. He hadn't known that another one had arrived here, and it did seem rather coincidental. Perhaps he was followed? Did he forget to shut the Garganta? Hopefully not, he began to think to himself. Though, Adolf was more curious about one thing; who was the other arrancar? "What did the other Arrancar look like?" He asked, tilting his head to the right, revealing a small black line on his forehead from underneath of his hair. Though it wasn't too noticeable, it would've been fairly easy to tell that it was a tattoo of some sort. Naturally, this was the decently sized "8" on his forehead, but there wasn't really any way for the shinigami in front of him to tell what it was, only that there was something there if he had noticed.
"Actually," Adolf had said, responding to his reason for being there, "I am here to see how humanity has progressed! Though, not particularly here in Germany. I just happened to be passing by, on my way to my old home. Pretty cool that I met you here, though!" Adolf had started to get excited, almost acting like an average twelve-year-old would when they saw something they liked. He was still a child at heart, and that still definitely showed most of the time. "Sooo, you're from Cologne? When was the last time you were here? I haven't gone to see how humanity has been in about 200 years I think? Yeah, it's been a pretty long time." Adolf paused for a second. "Yikes, sorry for rambling," he said in a somewhat embarrassed tone, smiling awkwardly.

So Ludwig for all intents and purposes is normally a fairly steady person. While most things he doesn't know interest him and most reactions can bring out a chuckle or two more times than not he won't have a façade or just his expression get shattered. Credit to Adolf where it was due because in just a few moments of meeting Ludwig he pretty much just achieved that. The reason was comprised of a list of things that altogether was the reason Ludwig showed a great deal of shock and surprise. 1. The other didn't know there was another here. 2. ALL THREE of them had come to see how people have progressed. And at least Kazuna and Ludwig came to see their own home country. 3 This arrancar was not only naïve but childlike. A 200 year old arrancar that had seen bloodshe and consumed other souls somehow retained an something of an innocence towards the world and all that was around him. Including what should have otherwise been his mortal enemy. The sheer shock of all this only made Ludwig vaguely realize there was a tattoo or something on his eyebrow he moved his head. Sadly though Ludwig was still processing everything else first however so that tiny detail got thrown to the curb like yesterday's news.
After what felt like a small eternity of shock Ludwig finally brought himself back together and shook off the whole thing. For now anyway. Ludwig's demeanor relaxed, his pose not as rigid but still not lax by any means and he couldn't help himself smiling at the other. It did shrink back down to hide away with only the corners of his lips showing his relief. "I...Cannot say I'm anything but surprised honestly. To have two arrancar and a captain here and all under the same reason..it's weird and honestly I cannot even imagine the odds of this happening. If your passing through however where do you intend to go visit? I can think of only a few nearby areas or countries that are nearby." Looking around at Cologne and the church especially Ludwig let loose the smile just a bit more before directing his attention and nodding at Adolf.
I am indeed, I was here during the second world war, and was raised in the years prior. I guarantee you that you didn't miss anything...well...good then. A lot however did happen but most you probably wouldn't be very thrilled to hear. And don't be concerned, as strange a situation as this is your reaction is surprisingly normal. As far as your companion?" Ludwig enunciated the question mark when he mentioned companion, "He was shorter than me, probably shorter than you. Heh he was a better "soul reaper" in looks given he held a large scythe and had a look in his eyes as though everything around him was dying. His speech was...odd considering his views on the surface but he was fairly nonchalant. I did not however catch his name as he seemed more likely to attack me the longer I stayed than hold a conversation. Does that ring a bell and is he one of your own also?" Ludwig was very much hoping that it was a yes so that at least maybe it could honestly mean the other wasn't going to harm anyone. His attitude had been concerning initially and while Adolf's was questioning there really wasn't a way to mimic the innocence of a child and he'd shown that spot on. Ludwig was going to be very surprised if this one was actually going to harm anyone willingly.
"Ah right before I forget myself, why are you coming to speak to me? If this haori wasn't enough to say what I am," Ludwig would grab a hold of it to emphasize how unique was given its colors consisted of black, silver, and green with his squads marking only just visible due to it being on his back.. "Wouldn't you have preferred to stay away? You realize most shinigami are not the type to hold conversations with arrancar for obvious reasons yes? Though I have no intention of harming you or the other unless you harm someone here, most times this would have been a hazard to your health. So I'm curious why, Adolf, you'd come chat to your enemy."

"Wait... What do you mean 'second world war'?" Adolf said, taken back a bit, "When was there a first to begin with?!" A world war? How was this even thinkable? Sure, he'd leaned about conflict in the past, but those were just between two or three countries! If it was a world war, would this mean every country was involved?! Adolf felt his heart drop momentarily. There's no way those could've ended well. He had only hoped that Britain had done well in the wars, and that was all he could really do.
Realizing that Ludwig had been talking about Kazuna, his demeanor changed once again. He'd turned seemingly angry thinking about him. "Yeah, that's Kazuna, the Noveno. A bit of a jerk, but at least he's a rank lower than me," Adolf said, laughing to himself. How that was the case was a bit of a surprise as it was. Kazuna was generally stronger than Adolf was, pre-release that is. How they'd perform after being released was a different, unknown story. "Yeah, I'm not particularly fond of him, but y'know, I've got to be nice to him for some reason, I dunno."
"I don't really see you as an enemy," Adolf said, responding to the last statement Ludwig made, "You're just a cool man, I see no reason to spark a fight with you at all. You're a fairly kind person as it is, and even if you wanted to kill me, I honestly won't really fight you, I'd sooner flee! Fighting isn't really something I enjoy, so you really shouldn't expect it from me."

Kazuna began to ponder on Ludwig's mention of his companion. He was confused as he had not sensed anything earlier, but this was about to change. Even with his meager energy sensing capabilities, Kazuna noted the appearance of a familiar spiritual feel. It was something he had felt many times and after a few seconds, he realized what that was. He spoke to himself calmly, "Never thought I would find you here...Adolf." He began to follow the path he saw Ludwig descend to before he shunpo'ed away.
As his descent concluded and he was on the streets of the city, he began to sense for the general feeling of both Adolf and Ludwig. It was safe to assume that Ludwig had a distinct energy not only as a Shinigami, but also as the Squad 13 Captain. In essence, he simply tried to follow the general vague direction that his meager energy sensory gave him. In hindsight, he should have assumed that there was another here, although for what reason he could simply not place his finger on.
Continuing to travel along the path given to him, hoping he would come across someone, Kazuna began to look at all of the residents of Cologne. There were many different kinds of people walking along the streets. Ranging from children to adults and even regrettably some people without a home. Not that Kazuna cared, but he always found a weakness to be such a shameful aspect of someone. He had half a mind of being chaotic and slaying those that displayed this apparent "weakness", but he himself did not want to attract unwanted attention from either Ludwig or his allies if there were any in the area. He simply continued following the path laid out to him.

This Adolf was full of...curiosities was probably the best way to put it. So much about him just didn't make sense considering. In fact the few things that did were small such as him not knowing of the World Wars, as really he shouldn't have cared as a hollow OR an arrancar. Ludwig shook his head some as he walked over towards the arrancar, his last statement and consistent reactions really only proved to Ludwig he may as well have had a child in his midst. Add into the mix he didn't want a fight anyway AND that he was damn certain he now had no reason to be as concerned for THIS arrancar he could be much more relaxed. Once he was over he patted the arrancar's back. "The first was right before I was born, the second that I was apart of was about 20 years later. If you'd really like to know, I can tell you about both and a few other events that happened at that time period. However if you want current events..." Ludwig motioned to those around him, even going so far as to point out a smartphone to emphasize his next point, "I really cannot tell you. I haven't been here since I died. I am currently trying to understand what all has gone on and what is currently going on. Its not easy but here's hoping it will in time."
Ludwig took a moment to think to himself for a second. As odd as this whole thing was he was certain there was much to be gained here. Whether from just talking to Adolf or even teaching him about what he knew as far as history goes, hell even his walk around cologne would be more enjoyable with a companion. And it seemed Adolf would most certainly fit the bill. Looking over Ludwig let his smile out, shoulders relax and his eyes go soft before speaking, "Even though your just passing through would you like to join me to walk through Cologne? I'm certain it'll hold some answers as to how people have changed and it lets me fill you in on what I know from the past. If your interested. If not I can at least tell you how things were for your country, whichever that may be and help point you in the right direction."
As Ludwig waited for a response he made sure to keep a mental tab on things thus far. 1. Kazuna was the 9th espade. 2. Adolf was the 8th espada. 3. Adolf wasn't likely to fight however it could be assumed that Kazuna did not hold the same attitude. If his interaction was anything to go off he'd probably kill something if the opportunity arose and he wasn't at the disadvantage. 4. Both knew now who he was and what squad he ran. While they did not know what he could do he still needed to remain careful as extra information to Las Noches and the other espada could be pretty detrimental. However if he was fortunate, hopefully the latter would forget and Adolf probably wouldn't say anything. If he did he warranted being thrown out of LN himself...But then again he IS talking with him currently. Ludwig mentally facepalmed knowing in all actuality Adolf would tell EVERY espada about him. Welp..if they knew his name he will know why. Externally however this wasn't shown, instead Ludwig just kept his relaxed look and smile. Hope was pretty much the only thing he had going for him at the moment.
Poor Ludwig, he's just a struggling artist that can’t get work done because his dog and cat won’t stop fighting. -Asmoskon
"I'd be glad to go with you," Adolf had said, glad to make a new friend, "And would definitely be glad to hear what happened in these wars, and how Great Britain had fared during them." There wasn't really any way to tell what had happened without Ludwig, so he might as well learn while he had the option to. He stood by his side, though due to the height difference, if someone else unknowing had seen, it could've looked like Adolf was a younger sibling of Ludwig. Of course, there wasn't much of a resemblance at all, but the height difference definitely made a difference in age apparent. "So, what had happened during these wars? I'm assuming there was a lot of casualties?" Adolf felt bad at the thought of this. What was the point of wars? There wasn't a need for that kind of bloodshed. Why couldn't things be sorted out without combat?
Adolf stopped, and took a moment to take in his surroundings. He was able to pick up on the spiritual pressure of a nearby being. "Hold up, I think someone's here." Adolf began to look around, searching for someone who was possibly nearby. After looking around for about a minute, and not finding anyone, he began to focus on the spiritual pressure he had sensed. Due to his fairly strong energy sensory, Adolf was soon able to pick up that the spiritual pressure of the being was Kazuna. Realizing this, he sighed, and rolled his eyes.

Ludwig nodded at Adolf as he started to move, checking back once to make sure his new companion was following his lead. In truth Ludwig didn't exactly know where he would go with Adolf so for the moment he decided that they'd just walk around some of the intercity streets and see where they ended up. Hell maybe Ludwig could find his old house of residence, he'd been in Cologne for about an hour or two now and he still hadn't visited it. Turning his head over Ludwig was about to start talking when he noticed Adolf's demeanor. If he hadn't been a Shinigami one could have easily mistaken the two for siblings given Adolf's childish vibe and shorter stature compared to Ludwig. This espada was...interesting to say the least he would definitely have to learn more about this one if only to sate his curiosity for why his personality was so starkly different than any other arrancar, let alone espade he'd heard of. Focusing his attention back to where they were going Ludwig started to speak, "Great Britain eh? Well that answers one question I had. As far as how they fared, ultimately they were on the winning side of both wars. I do not remember exactly how things ended in the first World War but I don't believe there was much trouble. In terms of really losing anything significant. I'm certain there were casualties and that there was more that happened to them in particular but mostly the winners of that war weren't harmed too heavily. I believe it encompassed France, Britain, America, and a few others. Their opponents were Germany, A dying empire that I believe was called the Ottoman? However don't hold me to be correct about it's name and a couple other countries. Ultimately that was sparked over growing unrest between a few countries and then the larger ones were dragged in due to treaties. At the end Germany took the majority of the blame due to it being forced upon us...Mostly by the French though the other countries did not exactly disagree."
By this point Ludwig clearly had a small vein starting to throb on his temple. Despite it having been years, decades even since Ludwig was still upset over the events that took place. Especially with Germany bearing the brunt end of the punishments and almost certainly solidifying the events to happen next. However Adolf here given his lack of knowledge hadn't even participated in the events leading up to this war so he needed to be careful to not insult his companion. He was not to blame in anyway for the events that happened. If anything he was probably more likely to have leaned towards not fighting at all. With this in mind and a deep breath to let go of his frustrations Ludwig gave a small forced smile if only to not worry his companion and continued on. "Thus we have the 15ish years after the fact between these wars. I understand this time frame a great deal better as I had lived during them, however I'll try to keep things short and simple so as to not overwhelm you. Germany held the blame for what happened and war reparations were expensive. So much so in fact that Germany's currency dropped in less than 5 years to needing thousands to get even bread. Germany also defaulted on payments and thus had to give land to France, the ones who pushed for our taking the blame. In the meantime America insisted on attempting to help but it was basically debt being thrown around and that too eventually crumbled bringing the world down with it. Germany in the meantime was trying desperately to fix itself but had no imaginable way to do such...Until Adolf Hitler came into the picture. A used to be soldier he saw World War 1 himself and once he understood what was going on took it upon himself to change things and make Germany great again. He lead a political party called the Nazi's into power and effectively took control of all Germany in one fell swoop once he had his people set in place. And in a way he fixed Germany, going so far as to even mock America and it's leader over how far Germany had come since it's fall. This however was due to illegal dealings with Russia amongst other venue's. The biggest proponents being his forced take over of Germany's lost areas. Initially it was allowed, I suppose due to the world pitying us, but ultimately once Poland was involved tensions rose. And Hitler by this point had no intention of sitting idly by. Thus where I come in, I was a part of his army. We crushed Poland like it was an ant. Then moved to France. If you can imagine for a moment the amount of malice one can get when their family member is killed place that into an entire country with lose of land, family, and so many other things. That feeling of revenge of returning the hand dealt to us prior was exactly what we did. We annihilated them and took over their country without a care, even raided it in some places. This was pretty much how the war went in other areas, including Britain. Except due to its position in the world we could only bomb it into oblivion, which is exactly what Hitler ordered. Eventually however we turned on our ally Russia and Japan our other ally involved America and within a few years we were pushed back and conquered ourselves. We almost won on multiple fronts but ultimately spread ourselves too thin and brought in beasts we could not hope to handle. I did not see the war for I...I died though not in an honorable way."
Ludwig during this entire conversation, or lecture more like went from smiling to frowning to almost growling and ended with a look so sullen it would be hard to believe he was anywhere near living. His eyes by the end had lost their sheen and even his posture slacked some as though the weight of his suicide weighed down full force on him as he thought about it. He could feel his depression begin to rear it's head his way but was able to push it back enough to regain his posture and replace his expression, but to anyone looking it'd be clearly fake. Especially with his eyes, they held no sheen and looked more like they were reliving the past that was coming up in Ludwig's mind, hell even his spiritual energy which had been more fluffy and light was starting to solidify and become heavier. He was however dragged from his thoughts at the mention of another being here putting all his prior history and depression aside for his immediate curiosity. "Someone? Would it be your companion...Kazuna I believe you said? I hadn't found anyone else around here that held any considerable presence." Now Ludwig's face showed some concern for if it wasn't Kazuna he was probably going to have a heaping boatload of problems that he wasn't sure he was going to be handle. Especially not with his depression on the rise although even it seemed to have taken a bit of a backseat to see what exactly was going to happen next.
Poor Ludwig, he's just a struggling artist that can’t get work done because his dog and cat won’t stop fighting. -Asmoskon
Realizing Ludwig wasn't doing the best at the moment, Adolf decided that the best option would be to show some care for the man, especially after sharing all of that information about his past. He pulled himself into Ludwig, hugging him. Though it wasn't much, it was still a show that he cared. "I know we're on two separate sides, and we're not particularly supposed to care for each other, but honestly I don't care. Is everything alright? You don't seem to be doing rather well. I don't doubt that everything you've been through has been traumatic, or at least borderline traumatic if not. I know it probably doesn't mean too much coming from an Arrancar, but I'm here for you!" Adolf finished this off with a fairly innocent smile, still trying to show the man that he cared.
"Yeah, it's Kazuna. Kinda surprised he's here at the same time as me, that's kinda coincidental. Just want to let you know before you meet him, it wasn't my idea for him to be here. We didn't exactly start off on the right foot with each other, I believe I ended up annoying him at one point, and things kinda went downhill from there. I'm working to make things better between us, though, and I kind of feel like he might be doing the same." After saying this, Adolf smiled again. There wasn't much better than the thought of making a friend, even if it was Kazuna. Even then, with him being an Espada as well, there was kind of a sense that they had to learn to get along with each other, even if they didn't want to.

As Kazuna tried to follow the trail that his two companions left behind, he began to think about how the situation. I mean, Ludwig was a Soul Reaper. He was not sure as to the strength of Ludwig, but part of him did not want to know. Kazuna had fought people in the past that were much stronger than him and Kazuna was way in over his head in this situations. Kazuna presumed the same thing with this one. Ludwig seemed to be free of much care, but he presumed that much like Kazuna, there was something buried underneath all that emotion. In Kazuna's case, it was the pure lack of emotion that he represented. That did not matter as of right now as Kazuna was closing in.
Taking a step around a corner, Kazuna saw both Ludwig and surprisingly Adolf. Kazuna came in just as Adolf was delivering his spiel about caring for the Soul Reaper. This incited something within Kazuna. While yes, Kazuna had the tendency to show a degree of fleeting compassion, Soul Reapers wanted him dead. They had killed his friend and Kazuna had sworn vengeance a long time ago. This Soul Reaper, albeit different, was nothing more than another one of the degenerate scum he had sworn to kill. With a hint of sarcasm, Kazuna spoke, "Well...I didn't know that Arrancar and a Soul Reaper could produce a stable "romantic" relationship." his voice filled with both sarcastic glee and cold apathy,
Kazuna began to think as he looked at Adolf. How dare an Espada show compassion to those who are our sworn mortal enemies. It was a display that disgusted Kazuna. This Arrancar was on a technical level, stronger than him based on rank, but Kazuna wanted to see that ferocity of someone above him. While he resented those such as Myza or Rio to an extent, he at least knew that they could back up their claims. There was a degree of anger building up inside Kazuna. At this point, he was trying to remain as calm as possible as he did not know how either Adolf nor Ludwig would react.
Post by Ludwig Verrlicht on Mar 17, 2018 15:07:03 GMT -5
This arrancar. This ESPADA, no less, continued to surprise Ludwig in a way he just could not seem to wrap his head around. And Ludwig liked to think every once and awhile he was at least somewhat smart. But how was he supposed to expect care and concern from his supposed enemy? Let alone a hug to just add onto this whole confusing idea. While it wouldn't have been a big deal to another the hug itself for Ludwig was actually kind of huge. It had been so long since he'd had another give him a hug that Ludwig couldn't even recall the last time aside from his mother and his siblings. Ludwig swore once he'd heard the others comments that he heard something inside him crack. What he wasn't sure but it certainly couldn't be a good thing considering the circumstances. Ludwig during this whole thing was so thrown off guard he didn't even really hear the other speak of Kazuna, except that he existed and was present. Instead he actually just returned the hug to the smaller companion not terribly concerned given there was only one other person present that could see and he was elsewhere in the city. What was the worst that could happen by letting a stranger to him show a bit of care and concern?
Well...I didn't know that Arrancar and a Soul Reaper could produce a stable "romantic" relationship." And it was at this point Ludwig all but physically shattered. Hearing it was only the mental equivalent while externally all he did was stand at attention and look at the speaker only to see what looked like seemed like an intense hatred that wasn't quite as prevalent as before. At no point however did he release the arrancar instead he was more like a statue or a kid having been caught with a hand in the cookie jar. And then it happened. His mind for seemingly its own twisted amusement, decided to have him relive his past a bit. The time he got his art book and subsequently his only means of expressing certain thoughts burnt away in front of him. Only after being humiliated by having to explain everything to his "teachers". This entire moment and all the other "fun" times he had at his Hitler Youth School just kept assaulting his mind but despite this aggressive onslaught he didn't show anything physically. Only his eyes with their thousand yard stare and passing emotions of sadness, anger, and perhaps hatred even if one paid close enough attention would show this onslaught. Eventually he did let go of Adolf but otherwise he stood still while he looked through Kazuna. If either were noticing his energy, it had taken a sudden shift from fluffy but controlled to barely coming off from him and seemingly grey by comparison to the raspberry color it held prior.
"Screw off, Kazuna," Adolf had said, fed up with the crap he was getting from the Arrancar. One can only deal with so much, and Adolf's breaking point was rather low. He wasn't quite the angry type, but he wasn't exactly one to hide how he was feeling when frustrated, either. And so, because of which, he was going to let Kazuna know exactly what was on his mind. "Honestly, you just think you can say whatever you want without any real repercussions, don't you? Well, news flash, if you've got something to say, be prepared to face the consequences, because they're definitely coming. Oh, and, by the way," Adolf smirked, deciding to get a bit cocky, "you should really learn your place. That's no way to talk to your superior." Realizing this would probably send Kazuna over the edge as well, he decided to stop here and see where that went.
Adolf turned back to Ludwig, genuinely concerned. "Is everything alright?" he asked, picking up on the energy shift, "You seem to be doing rather worse than before. Anything I could do to help? I mean, that's what friends are for, right?" Adolf tried to use a tone that showed that he cared for Ludwig, though in a platonic way. Even if he did have romantic feelings towards Ludwig, that'd go to hell rather quickly, with Ludwig being a Shinigami and all. That likely wouldn't last much longer than one of them being killed by a numerous amount of people. Not to mention the fact that Adolf could've ended up losing the seat of Octavo, had someone really wanted to take him out of it. That someone, of course, was Kazuna.
Post by Ailene Haschiro on Mar 29, 2018 22:58:12 GMT -5
Kazuna, being a general unfeeling individual, was not at all led to shame or regret after his comment. In fact, it was odd because he somewhat reveled in the despair that he was getting from this Shinigami. Sure, Ludwig may possess great power and status, but each of us has an exploit that can be dug into to bring people to their knees. Kazuna decided to keep a mental note of this as he began hearing Adolf talking with a blatant, "Screw off, Kazuna". As he heard this, Kazuna simply looked at him with complete indifference. Meanwhile, he took Kurakusabyou in his hand and slung the scythe over his shoulder.
Deciding to hear out his idiotic spiel, Kazuna began to listen to his ranting. Kazuna was used to giving people the cold shoulder and simply listening just to listen, especially if it was, and it mostly was stuff he really did not care about. As his argument drew to a close, Kazuna began to smirk somewhat, but that smirk soon turned into a look of disgust and his expression turned sour. The one line to take Kazuna out of a state of apathy was when Adolf blurted, "you should really learn your place. That's no way to talk to your superior.". Sending him back to his initial meeting with the clearly stronger Espada of Las Noches, Kazuna could accept that they claimed dominance, but this insignificant worm was becoming a little too comfortable with his wording. His scythe still slung over his back, Kazuna slowly began walking up to Adolf.
His walk was slow and careful as he began to speak carefully, "You wish to lecture me on the pecking order. You should know Adolf, I am well aware of your supposed superiority. You say there will repercussions for my actions, but you see I have the attitude to back up my threats and the gap in our strength while not monumental is not in basic strength or ability...it simply lies in your ability to analyze the situation and take advantage of what is given to you.", at this point, he was standing a good 7 ft away from Adolf. He spoke once more, but with more scorn, "Now let's say that you, in fact, mean what you say which by your track record sounds like an empty threat, you should know that I do not fear you. Call it blind ignorance if you will, but the action is not your strongest course and among the Espada, it is an action that leads us forward.". Taking a step closer, Kazuna was standing right in front of Adolf practically. Lifting his hand he calmly tapped Adolf's forehead. "You should know that I tolerate you Adolf. You among myself are the lowest ranking Espada in Los Noches. Now because of that, I have garnered a degree of tolerance for you, but not respect. Take that to heart..., however, you should know that I have a little quarrel over slicing you up into pieces with Kurakusabyou. Chuckling with a tad of sadism, he finished his threat off with, "Now know when to make a threat kid.", his voice condescending.
Backing away from Adolf to keep some distance, Kazuna glared back at Ludwig who has seemed to have regained his composure. Kazuna tried to analyze him, seeking what his purpose was. He may have been a Soul Reaper, but he was not one to act on impulse it seems, but on deductive reasoning. Despite being a Soul Reaper, Kazuna respected and acknowledged this. He spoke softly, "Shinigami. I have met many like you that were simply out of my blood and others like me. Yet here I stand along with me comrade before you and you do not seek to quench a bloodlust. I must say it vexes me beyond belief, that there actually exists someone with reasoning, not just someone who strikes without reason.", his voice slightly breaking thinking back to a friend. "Alas, I acknowledge your reason despite your status...I am interested, however, how the other less logical ingrates will react to this.". To Kazuna this last comment of his was odd. Had Adolf and Kazuna perhaps made an acquaintance on the warring faction.

To say Ludwig was lost under a torrent of his past was a pretty large understatement. In fact it felt like Ludwig was in a small boat that had just submerged from a storm at sea. The sea of course being his past and negative emotions. However if there was one thing Ludwig had, ESPECIALLY while in front of others, was an immense ability to hide and shove absolutely all emotion into a bottle and place it elsewhere for later. Without a second thought Ludwig immediately started doing just that shoving this entire incident far far far down somewhere inside him that could contain everything for the time being. To Adolf given he had picked up on the energy difference earlier he’d notice that Ludwig’s energy somehow turned a shade darker from grey to silver but was starting to spread out and become more malleable again. An odd combination considering this malleability was the same as before except now it was darker and forced almost. As far as Kazuna was concerned given he noted the change in Ludwig’s demeanor him as well as Adolf would see Ludwig take a few deep breaths and allow his rigid muscles to relax. A few more seconds passed and Ludwig was able to listen into the conversation again, hearing Kazuna’s promise of beating Adolf into submission if he’d ever challenged him to a real fight. In Ludwig’s jumbled thoughts he imagined the only reason Kazuna didn’t outright fight Adolf was due to his presence here. Because he’d already made the threat to both that he’d intervene if a fight was started.
By the time Kazuna was done with his promise to Adolf Ludwig was done shoving every emotion and thought he’d just had about his past into one of many bottles he had in his mind. Thus he was able to actually listen fully show a different expression. “Shinigami. I have met many like you that were simply out of my blood and others like me. Yet here I stand along with me comrade before you and you do not seek to quench a bloodlust. I must say it vexes me beyond belief, that there actually exists someone with reasoning, not just someone who strikes without reason. Alas, I acknowledge your reason despite your status...I am interested, however, how the other less logical ingrates will react to this.” Ludwig’s eyes widened some before returning to normal and actually showing a small amount of amusement paired with his soft smile he’d had prior. With an equally soft chuckle he responded in kind starting with Kazuna’s comment. “You and me both. I imagine those on your end also wouldn’t exactly find it a very amusing prospect that either of you were interacting with a captain from the Soul Society. Still as far as I’m concerned if there are means to resolving issues without violence they should looked into prior. And coming at one another with a weapon at their throat tends to drastically limit those options when used initially. Say what you will but thus far it seems to be working given there has not been any violence yet.” Once he was done with Kazuna he looked towards Adolf with the same expression before speaking “I appreciate your concern Adolf, however things are fine now. I just had a few memories resurface. Most were unpleasant but they’ve been dealt with now.”
Ludwig then looked towards both and chuckled to himself, not loud but enough either could hear. Once he’d composed himself some he spoke up to both the arrancars present, “This may not be towards either of your preferences but would you both like to finish up our visit with Cologne? I don’t know about either of you but I’ve duties to attend to and I’d like to finish seeing Cologne before attending to them. If either of you would like to join me in the meantime feel free. We are all here for the same reason as it stands, may as well enjoy the company while available.” Ludwig was surprisingly hopeful, he knew he’d have to deal with the newly made bottle of memories and negative emotions but given it was stable and sealed off he could enjoy himself again. And if he was honest he rather enjoyed Adolf’s presence, and having come to what he felt like was an understanding with Kazuna hopefully they could all just enjoy their time here and then go their separate ways when the time came. It wasn’t the normal thought and to anyone else he’d imagine it’d be ludicrous but who knew? Maybe it’d be the right option and possibly fun, if that was possible. At worst one if not both would turn him down and hopefully leave Cologne. Ludwig at this point was pretty much just staying as long as they were and once they’d both would leave Ludwig could also return.
