Recruitment. This was what she was doing again within the metal Menos Forest. Shikihitsuko, the man she called for so long master had cut his ties with her. Even went as far as to say that he wished he had never met her. With that, the emptiness in her grew infinitesimally larger as the man she considered bonded with her didn’t trust her for the blind loyalty of a Shinigami. It was true that she was given her Arrancar powers by the same man, but she felt utter disdain serving such a man. It was for this reason that she would build Los Ojos once more as her contingency to stand up and gain her revenge on the so called king for turning her last one she loved against her. The hatred she felt grew and with it her confusion on how Shikihitsuko could feel so grateful to a man who wasn’t even a Hollow.
IT ANGERED HER TO NO END! Taking step by step, she had slashed at the metal trees, causing them to gain large gashes and some to collapse from each strike. “I have been betrayed. To not only have ten years worth of effort destroyed, but to be cast out when all of this was for him to begin with!” Lagos felt so many conflicted thoughts towards Shikihitsuko. Why, she still loved the man, or so she would tell herself. That he was under the spell of the Shinigami trash. Yet, deeper inside she knew that was just a genjutsu. She was actually seething, feeling borderline hatred for her former master. She felt as if in a way he had betrayed her as he also felt similar.
Her spiritual pressure was rising, but she quickly suppressed it in worry of being discovered. Taking a deep breath, she clenched her teeth. She had to compose herself and get herself into a better mood. No one would want to follow such an angry and fearsome looking individual. A leader needed to be ruthless to their enemies and then coerce what was left to the point where the knew the consequences for treachery, but like them enough to stay loyal. That was what she needed to do now. Taking the moment to calm down, she would clench her turquoise handled blade, just waiting for an individual to challenge her. Her senses sharp, hearing the sounds of Hollows rushing away from danger. Yet, she could feel as if she were being watched. She was...she could tell.
Using her gravitational pressure on the nearby target, she heard a yell of agony as she bore all of it down on that singular individual as compared to the whole area. There it was...the equivalent of some sort of bat like creature. A hollow with a mask that was cracking from the pressure. "A spy!" She would hiss out with anger before she stepped forward. The bat quickly opened its mouth to protest. "I serve no one! I was only meaning to-" Slashing the bat with a solid blow, she grimaced and kicked the corpse away. A Hollow would say anything to preserve their existence and she had the gut feeling it was lying through its teeth. If the spy was here, the master was close. In fact, likely he sent it to watch her.
"Show yourself you bastard. If I'm being followed, I want to know where you are!" She was no fool. Dancing with Lagos was to dance with the possibility of death. Especially now considering she has been in the foulest mood she's had ever since her previous life! Tightly gripping her sword handle with her hand, she waited. She was silent. Waiting for any intonation that an enemy would approach her. She should have left that bat alive. Perhaps she could have gotten some information out of it. However, it was too late for that. The angered Lagos would find whoever this bat belonged to and end them before moving on. Her mission would not be able to go unreported if someone was watching her. That was what she was concerned of. Then the Menos Forest would be cut off from her recruitment efforts.
Zegram Hebi, kept to the tall trees of the Menos Forest. He had been spending an increasing amount of time in t he forest despite having a quite spacious and comfortable room in Las Noches. he had just finished making contact with one of his many contacts within the Menos Forest. Though some would think it a waste of time and energy to make spies out of hollows, let alone so many, but Zegram had a plan. New arrivals constantly arrived into the Menos Forest. Either has stunted Gillians or as hollows with the potential to evolve and grow in power. He would offer hollows that interest him a deal, a small amount of protection while they evolve for information on the going on in the forest whenever he stopped by.
Zegram liked to be well informed. Information was the key to starting any battle. If he knew who he was going up against before fighting, then he can formulate an effective plan to crush them, if not just avoid the fight entirely for one reason or another. Either it be that the hollow or arrancar in the area is not strong enough to be worth his time, or simple too strong to really be worth trying to rein in at the moment. He had just finished giving a order to one of his subordinates. A bat who was good at keeping his hear to the ground so to speak. He was among one of the weaker hollows under his employ, but strength was not what he hired him for.
Zegram could feel a spiritual pressure spike even if it wasn't directed at him on top of his lack of any energy sensory talent. He just felt like something was off. It came from the direction that he sent his informant. He was tempted to just leave the hollow, and head back to Las Noches. It was no fault of his own if he was too weak to last five minutes without Zegram intervening in a fight that would have costed the bat hollow its life. Then again, he would then need to find another hollow willing to work with him, or subjugate it and have some fun. He really didn't want to waste the time if he didn't have to. He turned around using his stealth abilities to move silently.
He was right to come back. He saw the bat held down by an Arrancar female's spiritual pressure. However Zegram did not intervene this time. He wanted to see what she would do it him. He had heard of this particular Arrancar before. Lagos Oscuras, he had heard of a nasty little rumor that said that she was not only dropped on her ass by her Espada, but also completely exiled from Las Noches entirely. Zegram was not able to pick up on the details as to what had happened, but he generally know who she was, and who she formerly served. She looked absolutely livid. He made a note of that with a wicked grim spreading across his face.
With a single slash of her sword, Lagos had killed the bat hollow and sent it flying somewhere in the forest. Oh well, it looks like he would need to have to train a new hire after all. He was about to turn to leave when an idea struck him. If he had brought her back, well her body anyway, that might give him a rather significant boost in reputation within Las Noches. He looked over Lagos trying to size her up so to speak. It was a shame. She was a foxy number. He would give her that much. He intentionally let himself be sensed by her to see what her reaction was. "Show yourself you bastard. If I'm being followed, I want to know where you are!"
She picked him up almost instantly, very impressive. Zegram stepped out of the shadow of the tree that he was watching from, and leaned against the trunk casually. Zegram would look really out of place for an arrancar. He wore a black three piece suit in a world this constantly in conflict to survive and grow. His dress boots were shined to reflect the little moon light that could make its way underneath the canopy of trees. He wore a black fedora on top of his green hair. His yellow eyes looked down on her from his perch. A fanged smile wide across his face. "Well I am impressed you sensed me so quickly, though did you have to be so harsh little Tenba? He was such a good source of information." He said in a tone of feigned regret.

Mockery. This Arrancar dared to mock her? Observing the man for a few moments, she recognized his face. This was the Arrancar Zegram Hebi of the Tercera if she remembered correctly. Disgust wretched on her face before she took the liberty to speak. “So this is your little filthy rat is it? Well, if it’s such a shame that your little subordinate has fallen, I’ll send you to the depths of hell with him.” She obviously was...not too pleased with the fact Zegram was sneering at her with such a face. For that face, she would make him pay with his life. Utilizing the Sonido, she moved at the speed of 5,200 for a brief moment before appearing alongside the very same branch he stood upon. However, immediately after exiting it, she turned to strike him down.
Her maximum speed in fact as she aggressively slashed for the man’s shoulders to rip him straight open. The blade was tilted and assuming she was successful in the initial strike, she would curve inward, spinning on her heel to slam her boot straight into the man’s chin with a reinforced Hierro durability and bear like strength. The goal was to make him slam straight into the metal tree’s large trunk. Normally Lagos liked playing around, but now was not that time. No. She would wait there for a moment before clenching her fist. She would go light for right now. Gauge him out. However, if he wasn’t going to be able to react to her weakest of blows, he wasn’t even worth fighting seriously.
Lagos...quite possibly is, well was the strongest Fraccion amongst the few Espada present in Las Noches. Why, some would say she would even be fit to be an Espada. However, it was unfortunate her traitorous deeds were discovered too soon. Shame. “Come and face me you despicable piece of trash. You wanted to fight a battle, so I’ll give it to you! I’ll rip out your heart and shove it down your own throat!” She sounded bitter, hateful, disgusted, and quite possibly vengeful. Maybe she was all of the above. Either way, Lagos wasn’t happy. She did say she was going to kill Zegram after all.
It appeared that sarcasm was beyond the female's understanding. No matter. She had declared her will to fight him, and a fight is what she would get from the gentlemanly Arrancar. He had not been trying to provoke her, on the contrary, he more wanted to lull her into a sense of security first, but with their species that was...difficult to do. They were always weary of attacks from the back or sudden attacks for their spots as Espada or Fraccion. Though sometimes one was too worried about the dagger coming from the back, that they do not see the one coming from the front. He would show her just what this little snake was capable of.
Right as she used sonido, he was already starting to release. He would not fight her in a sealed form, not with much of his power sealed from even him. She got to him fast, but he had managed to release in time for her quick combo, though she may not have been able to see him clearly. She would have felt the blade glance off his skin as the Heirro was far stronger than the cutting power of her blade. The kick, though didn't hurt, sent him flying back into the bark of the metal tree kicking up dust on his impact with it. It would obscure him for a moment. He smiled feeling his power return to him. He still needed to plan carefully, for that he would pour a little of his spiritual pressure into his reiatsu strength making his heirro even stronger. He stood there for a few seconds letting the dust start to settle around him. Then he was ready.
He would use his own sonido to burst from the cloud of dust. He wanted to get as close to her face as was possible. Then he would punch forward with a green ball of energy at the end of his fist. He would fire his bala from his near point blank range though sure that she would be able to sonido out of the way. "That was impressive. If I was not already prepared to release, you may have harmed me. You little bitch!" He hissed. He would look at her direction with his golden serpent like eyes. He resembled a Naga from Arabian folklore. His top half that of a man, while his lower half was that of a snake. His scales were a mix of white and black, and around his head was a large cobra's hood. At the end a his long tail, a club like rattle rattled quickly.
He was already brewing up his first concoction of poisons to use on her. He knew that he would need something to slow her down. He had three things that would be excellent for that. He had those little poisons brewing in his body, waiting for her to make the next move. He would still be a bit sluggish from just releasing, but he knew that he would be able to be fully restored in a little while. He often wondered if Sargon's training was a blessing or a curse. Either way, he would deal with things as they are now. He would wait for Lagos to retaliate. Though time was ticking he shouldn't be hasty. Any careless mistake can be his undoing, but then again...who gave a crap!

That resurreccion of Zegram’s. As she blurred and appeared in front of the snake, the clang of her sword upon him was a swift surprise, however, the kick send the Arrancar foe flying back and crashing into the metal tree. Quickly recovering onto her feet, her eyebrow raised in gross interest before she realized exactly why it was that Zegram had been able to block her strikes with such a heavy Hierro as compared to before when she was sure he would cut through him like paper. He was a special Arrancar, one that had majority of their power sealed away from them in their base forms. Zegram was much like a Shinigami she faced before who could use powerful bursts of strength at certain times. It was...going to be challenging it seemed, and she didn’t say that to just anyone. The Shinigami she faced, quite literally punched her head off the last time.
Her eyes focused on Zegram’s direction, and then she heard the sound of a Sonido as dust was kicked up and the man came at her direction. Stepping backwards as the man reappeared, the Bala quickly formed at the end of his fist. Using her own Sonido once more, Lagos vanished at a frightening speed as the Naga launched his Bala at another tree, utterly obliterating it with sheer force before Lagos appeared around eight feet away to his back at the now Zegram shaped crater that she had left in the tree. “Bitch?...” There was a seething fury in Lagos’ veins as her blood metaphorically boiled. However, Lagos had found the power to restrain herself from acting to hastily. Her opponent was released, and a release among Arrancar was not to be underestimated.
Taking in his appearance as the snake he was, she observed him head to toe. “If I’m a dog, then you’re nothing but dog food.” Tempted to enter her own release, she decided against it thanks to her better judgement. Zegram was her inferior and he moved slowly compared to herself. What the best course of action would be in her mind was to tire him and waste his energy. Unaware of the toxins forming inside of him, she did have a general guess or two of what his power was. Besides, she was a Fraccion with an access to knowledge the common grunt would not. She knew about his status to Sargon and while not knowing much of his power, that was irrelevant to her.
She’d fight from a distance she supposed considering her sword was going to do her no justice. If he came in for a close combat encounter, she’d simply gain more distance and or use her superior speed to deliver vicious counterattacks. As of now though, Lagos tensed the muscles in her arms before using her extremely sharp blade in preparation. Slicing in a crescent motion downward at the branch, there was a creaking sound before the branch would break off, making the snake lose his solid foothold and would hopefully send him falling several dozen feet if she were successful. After all, it was a very tall tree that could rival the height of the Menos Grande Gillians. On that descent, Lagos proceeded to lift her hand seeing he lacked a solid foothold of which to stop his fall.
“Bala.” A yellow ball of destructive death was sent flying at a rapid speed towards the Naga Arrancar in a swift attempt to cause an even greater impact upon crashing to the floor. With a Hierro of that level, if it were to collide, it wouldn’t cause too much physical damage. However, the heat and the impact surely might do something to impede him if he were to take the full force brunt of it. His Reiatsu strength was quite a bit stronger than hers now, frighteningly so. Yet, all Lagos had to do was prolong the battle. She knew that Zegram only had a limited time before he would revert to his form and be at her mercy. To cause a greater distance between the two would only proceed to aid in this endeavor albeit make it harder for him to catch him if he were to attempt a cowardly retreat.
Zegram slithered forward grinning widely showing off his long fangs. He enjoyed a little game of cat and mouse. He watched her cut the branch he was standing on. He felt the branch start to give, so was prepared for the fall keeping most of his balance. As he fell, he looked up to see her firing her own bala at him. He glanced down at the incoming ground and then back up waiting for the right moment. Just before he hit the ground, he used Sin Sonido to hide among the darkness of the nearby trees using the explosion of the bala as added cover. Zegram was a practitioner of stealth. He would use those skills now to start slithering quietly up the tree again to catch her by surprise.
Due to his mastery of Sin Sonido, she would not have been able to hear him using the advanced step technique, and wouldn't hear him climbing back up. He made sure to keep to the far side of the tree, as he made his way up. He would use other trees to help his accent, his "foot falls" would be near silent to even her. Soon he was above her. On the opposite side of the tree. Since he had used a lot of vapor poisons, he used them to his advantage. He would force the poison from his body in non visible cloud. He would need to be smart to slow her down otherwise she would just dart off again. The poison cloud would fill the are around them 35ft in every direction. She would not be able to smell it or detect it. now it was time to wait.
