Shōkan would definitely be paying the Squad 6 commander a visit very soon. He would most certainly hold the man to his offer. If swallowing his pride was the price Shōkan had to pay to gain valuable information on his now most hated enemy, he would pay it a thousand times over, rip out his pride and throw it away, filling up the space it left inside with power to burn away the Segunda Espada to ash. With this in mind, as he watched Sozen and Himitsu leave, Shōkan didn't wave or say farewell, instead, he bowed, long and deep. Raising his head, Shōkan felt the automatic doors close behind as he headed towards the the people arrayed before him. They whisked him off to some room in the giant tower, and began running tests on him. Testing his blood, testing his reitsu. Before they even began however, they seemed fairly confident Shōkan was who he said he was.
For one he had the appearance of a Kawada, but the thing that really sealed it was the long black tattoo reaching from his right wrist to the back of his shoulder. The tattoo was that of a stylized phoenix, and it was something only one person in the Kawada Clan could have at a time... The Clan Head. When Shōkan was born, a small phoenix tattoo was placed on his wrist, binding not only to his flesh, but also to his soul. And when he was made clan head, the ceremony served as a catalyst for the tattoo to grow up th elength of his arm. It was so connected to him that it even reacted to his moods and powers, glowing when he was angry or activating his powers. Shōkan supposed that since he was sealed, he was the last clan head to bear this tattoo. You see, their could literally only be one at any point in time, the technique wouldn't accept a new host unless the previous bearer either died or rejected it, and Shōkan had done neither.
With the tests finally concluded, the servants in the room bowed, and said in unision, "Welcome back, Lord Shōkan." At this, Shōkan simply bowed his own head slightly in acknowledgment. Slowly, the crowd of servants departed, leaving only one. His attire consists of a classic western suit, no overcoat, simply a clean, white silk shit and a black vest, along with a bowtie. He also wears high quality black pants, slacks, and a belt. Shōkan couldn't help but notice that while all of this clothing had formal use, it would be perfectly fine in combat conditions, giving the man a full range of motion. Slowly, the man walked towards Shōkan and bowed deeply, Shōkan asked him "Who are you?" He replied submissively.
"I am Geoffrey Wilcox Lord Shōkan... When you fell form th rift in th esky, it was I that found you, and then took you to Squad 4." Surprisingly, Shōkan recognized the name. It was that of an old family that had served the Kawada for a very long time, long before Shōkan's time even. Shōkan in response to this, bowed to Geoffrey in tunr, surprising him, "Then my thanks must go to you Geoffrey... I owe you a debt." Geoffrey stuttered a bit at this, flattered and embarrased, "O-oh, L-lord Shōkan t-that's not necessary!" Shōkan gave him one fo those charming, claming smiles he was known for, "Of course it is, you saved my life, and I will never forget that Geoffrey." Geoffrey bowed even lower, "Thank you, Lord Shōkan..."
Even as Geoffrey came up out of his bow, another man walked into the room. He was tall, and lightly muscled, just enough to show that he had martial training, but not enough that it would be his specialty. He had long blac hair, pale skin, and perfect posture. From the way he held himself, and the look of his face, Shōkan could immmediately tell that this was on of th esurviving Kawada Clan members. Arrivng in front of Shōkan, he kneeled gently. "Shōkan-sama... Welcome back. My name is Arashi Kawada." Shōkan smiled down at Arashi, beckoning him to rise, while normally this would only be done for the clan head, the situation was a bit extenuating. Technically, Shōkan was still the clan head, but at the same time he wasn't. That, along with his nigh legendary status among his clan caused Arashi to treat him as he might one of the highest members, which Shōkan technically was.
"It is good to be back Arashi..."
One Week Later
Squad 6 Barracks
10 A.M.
It had benn one week since the events that brought Shōkan back to this world began. They had been filled with learning... lots of it. Learning about the history of the past thousand years, paying special attention to recent history. Learning about the different and new races that inhabited the worlds. Specifically, he payed special attention to one race. Arrancars. While Arrancars had existed in Shōkan's time, there was next to no information about them, and it was widely believed that there was only ONE arrancar... Cain. Now he learned that there wasn't just more than one, there was an entire ARMY of arrancars sittign in Hueco Mundo. You can understand how information as large as that might give a man some time needed to adjust.
So after the past week of learning, with so much help from Arashi (Shōkan felt especially indebted to the man, he was exceedingly patient and efficient), Shōkan was ready to visit Squad 6. Entering the illustrius building, Shōkan made his way towards the Captains office. Shōkan had made preparations a week ago, formally requesting an audience with the captain at this date and time, so he was positive Sozen was in there, probably Himitsu as well, now that he considered it. Opening the door and entering the room, Shōkan found Sozen sitting at his desk, presumably doing paperwork of some sort, Shōkan bowed to the man. Actually, calling this movement just a bow, wouldn't do it justice. This was a masterpiece of political and social engineering that had been creatd over hundreds of years of experience as a noble clan head.
The bow displayed was just below that of an equal, recognizing that this was Sozen's territory, but that Shōkan was not subservient to the man. In all honesty, the grace and perfection of it would be noticable to someone of Sozen's stature, considering he had probably mastered political machinations such as this, just as Shōkan had. The introductory greeting out of the way, Shōkan continued on with the semi-ceremony that always took place whenever two nobles of considerable stature met together. At least, it was in his time, nowadays, it was considered only necessary in formal situations. But Shōkan new this, it was all a part of the plan. "Lord Kuchiki, it is good to see you in good health this morning." Giving a gesture of askance, Shōkan continued, "Do you mind if i take a moment of your time, Kuchiki-dono?"
It didn't matter if this was a prearranged meeting, this was simply how these things went between nobles. Sozen knew why Shōkan was here, Shōkan knew that Sozen knew why he was here, yet they went through this charade, not only for tradition, but to read each other. half of the reason for these formal introductions was to read the other noble, the wording, the phrasing, the tone. Massive amounts of information could be deduced by just a few sentences in this way, and it was th eprimary reason they were still done in the first place. For instance, Shōkan refering to Sozen as a Kuchiki first and foremost, and not as a captain, indicated that Shōkan was there as a Kawada, and not as a Shinigami of the Gotei 13. This was just one of many things that could be deduced from this, Sure it wasn't all that important in the end, but until the end, it was of the utmost importance.
After this, Sozen would direct the conversation towards what they both new Shōkan was really there for. Kuroi Naito. Sozen knew why Shōkan was there, he wanted information on Kuroi, from his fihgting style, to his release, to his personality, fears, and skills. Everything could be used in this. Shōkan wasn't stupid, maybe back in his prime he could have faced the Segunda Espada on equal terms, but now? That would be a joke, and not a particularly funny one at that. Shōkan was completely of his own power skills and limitations. No, this ws to gather intel on his opponent. To gather strength, calmly collect his resources, plan his and his clans revenge. Blindly giving into rage was the way of bezerkers and fools, for a person that truly wanted vengeance, they had to be cool, calm and collected.
One had to prepare and plan, to ensure success. Shōkan knew this well, and he would succeed where the others of his clan had failed, because they didn't understand the way Shōkan did, they never would. Because Shōkan was from a different time. A time when the monsters of today were born, he knew how they thought and fought and acted because that was how he thought and fought and acted. he knew because, compared to these Shinigami in today, he was one of those monsters, those freaks of nature who were powerful beyond measure. He simply had to rediscover that power...
Of course, Shōkan wasn't refering to his release. He knew that his zanpakuto spirit, and by extension his Shikai and Bankai, were forever lost to him. What Shōkan was referring to was this new power he had discovered. After Sozen and Himitsu left the Kawada Clan compound, Shōkan had explored his new power extensively. It was exceedingly simple, and yet, overwhelmingly powerful. Usually this made for the best powers, except... The more he tried to control it, the more volatile and destructive it became. This didn't sit well with Shōkan at all.
He didn't trust a power he couldn't control, so as it were, he preffered not to use it unless he needed to. That being said, he wasn't overly opposed to using it if the situation demanded it, he simply wouldn't use it in situations that required finesse, or where allies were nearby. At the moment, the most he could reign the power in, was to reduce it's range, other than that, the more effort he put into it, the more violent and destructive it got, to the point where he left it as it was for the moment.
Walking through the doors of the massive Kawada Manor, Shōkan wasn't quite as awed as all that. The architecture was strange, not the wide as well as tall buildings he was used to, exchanging a bit of width for height to scrape the sky... Reaching a room just past that, Shōkan could see the numerous servants standing there waiting to escort him, as well as a lone man Shōkan could immediately identify as a Kawada. As he turned to bid the pair of shinigami farewell however, Sozen spoke. "Oh, I almost forgot..." Sozen said. "If it's Kuroi that you want, when I defeated him, I spared his life for the Kawada Family to attempt to take. I understand your vendetta is of great importance to you." The building shadow fell over him, and all that was visible was a bright white grin and powerful eyes, "If you'd like lessons on facing him, you know where to find me."
Forever Enthralled
Height/Weight: [5'6/130 lb]
Physical Description:
{Ubaid}
Ubaid's appearance is, like all akki, somewhat demonic. The color of his skin is a caramel ebony, the crimson tones to it. The sclera of his eyes is a pitch black, while his iris is a deep crimson, with slitted pupils. Atop his head, he has a pair of demonic horns, that curl back across his scalp. His skin is smooth and unblemished, unnaturally so. it almost seems to retain a ceramic, or plastic quality, as if he himself is not real. With his unusual features, combined with his strange skin, he gives off a distinct 'creepy' feeling. He seems as if he is a monster parading about in a faux human body.
Additionally, Ubaid's teeth, are just a bit too sharp, his canines just too pronounced to be human. This gives him a vicious, wolfish look when he chooses to show them. His ears are also strange. instead of the normal rounded ears of a human, his are too large, and pointed to a tip, almost like a fantasy elf's ears. His face and jawline are a bit too thin, too graceful to be human. His hands are too thin, and his fingernails are more like sharpened claws. In all, when one looks at Ubaid, and ignores his demonic features, at a glance, he would appear human, but any concerted investigation would prove that assesment wrong very quickly.
Of course, conventionally, he is handsome. He retains a very youthful appearance, that of a teenager. Even though he has conventional good looks; a symmetrical face, fine features, striking eyes, most normal people would never find him attractive. He is fake, with no flaws, his mannerisms are just shy of being those of a normal persons. It's almost as if he is playing at being alive, and succeeding just the right amount that you couldn't put your finger on it, but something about him is irrevocably wrong. Most of all, his eyes.
When he is attempting to seem normal, his eyes retain a dead look. They have no soul. That, in itself, is bad enough. However, when he does not attempt to hide his true nature, they have a predatory gaze. As if he is wondering at all the ways he could torture and kill you. Not heated, or manic, but completely and totally solemn and calculating. This, somehow, is even more unsettling than if he was manic. This feeling of cold calculation can be seen, not only in his eyes, but in the very way he moves.
He moves gracefully, deliberately. It isn’t like his every step and motion are measured, like he’s trained himself to convey only what he wanted to convey through his movements – but there is a kind of natural deliberation to the way he puts one foot in front of the other, the way he reaches out to open a cupboard and look inside, or how he rises up on his tiptoes to check out another. Like he is very, very aware of his body, and what it is doing, even when he isn’t really paying attention. In this way, he can be seen, by those who pay attention, as a very in control man. He never hesitates. In this way, he seems wrong, he doesn't move without concious thought like most people, he is very obviously focusing on every move he makes.
In a gigai, Ubaid's demonic features disappear for the most part. He loses the horns, the sharpened nails and teeth. His sclera returns to a normal white. His skin tone turns from that dark crimson, to a natural smooth ebony. His pointed ears become rounded. The only feature that seems to stubbornly persist are his eyes. While the slit pupils are gone, he doesn't retain any pupil at all. His iris is just a pit of bloodred. It is very unsettling, at a glance, it's just slightly unusual, but the more you look, you seem to fall into them, into a realm of pain and torment unlike any you have ever known.
Ubaid's hair is a dark white, not quite a steel gray, but not an unblemished white either. It remains messy, and is not styled in any conscious fashion whatsoever. His fingernails (claws) are a dark black, and his teeth a gleeming, too bright white. Ubaid's clothing is generally whatever the situation calls for. When he is at his master's side, he dresses as a servant. With a black button down shirt, a steely gray vest, and black pants and dress shoes. When he is sent on an errand, he will either retain this suit, or change into a skin tight black suit, with dark grey and red accents. Along with a pair of black combat boots.
Normally, Ubaid's demeanor is somewhat stoic. Spending so long alone tends to do that to a demon. He tends to be still, and moves only very deliberately. When he speaks, you can tell he has measured every word, and gives them out sparingly, as if each word pains him. That's not to say he isn't precise, he always gets the relevant information out, but absolutely no fluff, he prefers to be straight, to the point, with as little interaction with other beings as possible. To many this might make them think that Ubaid finds them distasteful... And they would be absolutely right.
Ubaid's voice is completely out of character for his form. Being so small, his voice is surprisingly deep. It retains a smooth, and rich quality to it, giving one a sense of profound power and knowledge. If his appearance doesn't show his true age and experience, his voice most certainly does. Suitable for bot inpiring fear into his enemy's, as well as reporting to his Master, Ubaid's voice is both silky smooth, rich, and deep. One often finds chills running down their spine when they hear Ubaid speak. In fact, this reaction is not uncommon at all.
A Slave In All But Name
Dislikes:
⛧Hell⛧
After being tortured for centuries in the pits of hell for his sins, Ubaid is not fond of this place. Especially after he rose in the ranks, and attempted his coup. As ill thought out as it was, Ubaid wished to destroy that which had hurt him so. Although he utterly failed, he still does not regret it. His final act of defiance would echo in hell for millenia.
⛧Lucifer⛧
The Ruler of Hell himself. For many reasons, Lucifer is the one Ubaid hates above all others. Not the least of which is the millenia he spent in constant torment, or the curse he now finds laid upon himself. Lucifer is the epitome of all of Ubaid's pains, and he would destroy him at any cost.
⛧Laughter⛧
Even to this day, Ubaid has an intense distste for laughter. When he was being constantly tortured in hell, this was the one constant. Even when his voice was wasted away from screaming, the haunting laughter of his torturers would always remain. SOmetimes, if he is in a weak position and hears it, he will even flinch.
⛧Weakness⛧
Much of his distaste for weakness is directed at himself. If he had not been so weak, he wouldn't have been sent to hell. If he had not been so weak, he would not have gone through centuries of torture. If he had not been so weak, he could have defeated Lucifer. If. If. If.
⛧Humans⛧
Ubaid hates humans, ironically, his Master is a human, whom he is forced to admire and respect. He hates them because they remind him that once upon a time he wasn't a monster, he was human and normal. This drives his rage to even further heights.
⛧Arrancar⛧
In truth, Ubaid is jealous of the Arrancar. They are so similar, but he can't help but feel that he has gotten the wrong end of the stick. Sure, his power is far greater than most arrancars can hope to match, but the cost for such power was not worth it in his mind.
⛧Following Orders⛧
After a former Master compelled him to feel pain when he thought of disobeying, and intense pleasure when he did obey, Ubaid gets a small rush from following orders. He hates this controlling of his mind, his thoughts and his will.
⛧Illusions & Mind Control⛧
It is no surprise Ubaid has an intense hatred for techniques that affect the mind, being a victim of one himself. He cannot abide by them whatsoever, and becomes exceedingly irrational when faced with them. In the event an enemy has them, he will exterminate them with cold prejudice and overwhelming force.
⛧Nakabakki⛧
Ubaid finds this race of beings to be positively distasteful. What could ever come over his brethren to lie with a human of all things confounds them. And then to allow these products of such a union to exist?! It is a disgrace to the race known as akki. Whenever he finds one of these, he strives to annihilate them whenever possible.
⛧Energetic People⛧
Those who are 'peppy' and energetic annoy Ubaid to no end. As the perfect foils to his solemn demeanor, he finds that they disrupt the peace and quiet of his own thoughts, something he is relishing after millenia of constant torment.
⛧Quincy⛧
THis should be rather obvious, but the AKKI, Ubaid does not like quincy. I know, hard to imagine right? They are arrogant, racist, egotistical trash that deserve to be put down to the last man, woman, and child. So as not to spread their disease any further.
⛧Birthdays⛧
Someone shouldn't get rewarded for surviving another year, particularly nowadays, when it's far too easy. Their reward is that they continue to live. Ubaid didn't get birthdays while in Hell or purgatory, and he's thousands of years old by now.
⛧Pigeons⛧
The rat's of the sky, while Ubaid normally likes nature, pigeons annoy him. They are ungraceful, stupid, and numerous beyond count. He thinks of them the same way he thinks of Humans... They need a culling.
⛧Disrespect⛧
After becoming a thrall, Ubaid has lost much of the respect offered to him as an all powerful akki. His pride demands that his Master, and everyone else, treat him and his station with some respect. While his Master might not have to, he might be able to make someone else suffer an 'accident', unless explicitly ordered not to.
⛧Mind Games⛧
Ubaid finds mind games distasteful (when used against him), they are the tools of the weak to attempt to make up for their lack of strength. Ubaid will crush those who attempt to meddle with his mind.
Likes:
⛧Kazura Uzaki⛧
Part of the Ring of Ubaid's binding upon him, forces him to respect, admire even, his Master. He is made to love this man who enslaves him so, to see the qualities that he normally finds repulsive in a human; confidence, competence, power, leadership- and admire them. Just another way that his free will was stolen from him.
⛧Saisei Oni⛧
Though Ubai has gone through much pain and torment, one good thing was gained from all of it, power. All of Ubaid's power is focused inside of his release, and what a release it is. Few can stand his full might when he deigns to use it.
⛧Silence⛧
After spending what felt like an eternity listening to his own screams, Ubaid tends to be stoic and silent. When conversation is to be done, he is short and to the point. He prefers others to be silent as well, and enjoys listening to the quiet sounds you don't hear in a torturous abyss.
⛧Following Orders⛧
After a former Master compelled him to feel pain when he thought of disobeying, and intense pleasure when he did obey, Ubaid has come to enjoy following orders slightly. Even with the order no longer in effect, Ubaid psychologically still gets a small bit of pleasure from it. Of course, this bit of pleasure makes him hate it just as much.
⛧Unsettling People⛧
Ubaid takes a perverse pleasure in making people uncomfortable. He finds that his inhuman features, and evil eyes give him a good chance of doing so if he refuses to speak, and just stares at them without blinking.
⛧Nature⛧
After spending so long in Hell, Ubaid finds pleasure in witnessing the earth, unblemished by humankind. In fact, he is prone to utterly destroying those who might do so. He doesn't like this to become common knowledge though, so he tends to make sure he's alone when he admires nature.
⛧Combat⛧
Ubaid is an akki, nothing can change that. He thrives off of combat, particularly because he is forced to be restrained so much. The rush of letting loose his power and dominating his opponent is intoxicating, and is the only time he is really able to let his true nature out.
⛧Shutting Annoying People Up⛧
Since Kazura tends to frown upon Ubaid murdering everyone who annyos him, Ubaid must find solace in shutting them up, and proving his superiority in any way he can. When it comes to those he finds inferior to himself, Ubaid can be quite the smug bastard.
⛧Exterminating His Master's Enemies⛧
As a servant, willingly or not, Ubaid takes pride in his Master, and to prove himself by utterly eliminating his enemies is the highest form of honor in his curse-ridden mind. Turthfully, this is the only way he generally gets to release his aggression and rage at his enslavement.
⛧Hard Work⛧
Ubaid values work and effort, he feels that for something to be done correctly, there can be no shortcuts. Thats not to say he doesn't value better, or efficient methods, he just doesn't like laziness.
⛧Dominating⛧
Ubaid loves the feeling of domminating an opponent, the rush one gts from utterly subjugating their enemies through force of arms is one of the greatest there is in his opinion.
⛧Victory⛧
Victory in all things, Ubaid will accept nothing less. He considers himself to be one of the most powerful beings in existence, and refuses to allow himself to be defeateed in any way. For such a thing to happen would be sacrilegious.
⛧Broken Enemies Eyes⛧
There is nothing quite so sweet as the eyes of an utterly defeated enmmy. It is the after sex cigarette, the icing on the cake. It is one of those few things that truly transcend the experience.
⛧Inflicting Fear⛧
Inflicting fear upon others is a favored pastime of almost all akki, Ubaid is no exception. Theres something about the... Taste of it. It exudes from his victims, and is intoxicating. Something about it almost seems to alleviate the memories of his own fear, his own torture.
⛧Deception⛧
Considering his normal form can be small, and not particularly intimidating to fools, Ubaid enjoys decieving them further. The look of surprise and dismay when they realize their mistake is oh so wonderful.
Flaws:
⛧Pride⛧
The race of akki, as a whole, all are afflicted with the sin of pride. It is practically a requirement, and ubaid is no acception. He considers himself the apex, and even in his enslavement nurses his pride and ego.
⛧Enslaved⛧
An obvious flaw, Ubaid is a slave to whosoever bears his ring. He cannot hide anything from his Master, must obey him in all things, and protect and serve him to the best of his ability. He can't even desire harm to befall upon him. The curse of the Ring forces him to want his Master to succeed, and to subvert him would be impossible.
⛧Social Skills⛧
Over several millenia, Ubaid has not had the chance to socialize much. First he was in hell for a few thousand years, and then he was subjected to several more of intense torture. In these places, one does not get the chance for proper conversation. Hell is a place where power and dominance speak louder than any words. As such, his people skills have grown... Rusty.
⛧Arrogance⛧
Ubaid is arrogant, and why shouldn't he be? He is a member of the most powerful race of spiritually aware beings the world has ever known. In his eyes, any akki is worht a thousand arrancar. Only the most exceptional arrancar could ever hope to match the weakest of the akki, and even then, this is very rare.
⛧Ignorance⛧
Ubaid will not abide by anyone saying it, but he is very ignorant of todays world. Everything is different now. They talk more, but say less. Their weapons are more powerful than ever, yet the justification for doing so weaker. Technology, and especially the people of today have passed him by, and Ubaid struggles to adapt.
⛧Weak Sealed State⛧
When sealed, Ubaid is fairly weak, especially in comparison to how he used to be. His eyesight and senses are sub-par. His body is weak, and slow... Not at all like he is used to, and his raw might and power are absent. Years of purgatory can do that to a man. Weaken him.
⛧Inability To Accept Defeat⛧
Ubaid's pride literally does not allow him to accept defeat. Even if his opponent were the Soul King himself, and Ubaid lost, he would not be able to accept it, and would drive himself into the ground in an effort to grow strong enough to obliterate his foe.
Habits:
⛧Referring to Kazura as 'Master'⛧
Ubaid, unless specifically ordered not to, will always refer to the bearer of his Ring as 'Master'. This is one of the few ways he reminds himself that he doesn't want this, and that he is, in fact a slave.
⛧Admiring Nature⛧
Since his return to the world of the living, Ubaid has found a simple beauty in nature that he just didn't see in life. After hell, the World of the Living is a paradise, and he can't help but admire the beauty it holds.
⛧Rattling His Chains⛧
Ubaid enjoys rattling his confining chains, the strange echoing sounds these demonic links of metal make seem to disturb most rational human beings, who would have thought? After all, Ubaid loves disturbing people whenever he can.
⛧Staring⛧
As stated previously, Ubaid enjoys unsettling normal people. One of the best ways to do this that he's found is to stare at them, unblinkingly, silently. It tends to really creep people out, and he finds great amusement in that.
⛧Speaking Archaically⛧
Seeing as how he is a being thousands of years old, Ubaid's naturaly speech patterns are rather archaic by todays standards. Generally, he is in control of himself enough to prevent this, but if he is surprised, or otherwise mentally compromised, he tends to revert to his most comfortable way of speaking.
⛧"Your will be done, My Master."⛧
This is something Ubaid says any time Kazura gives him an assignment, and unless he is explicitly told not to, he will continue to do so. Having a routine reduces toe blow to his pride every time he submits to a lowly human.
Fears:
⛧Going Back to Hell⛧
Something he fears far more than death. To be forced back into hell, to be once again at the mercy of it's King, Lucifer... This is a nightmare for Ubaid. He would rather die a thousand times over, than return to the vile hands of that man.
⛧Forgetting He is a Slave⛧
So insidious is the Ring of Ubaid, that it becomes difficult to realize one is being controlled after a time. You want to please your Master, it brings you PLEASURE to do so. As such, Ubaid is terrified of losing his sense of self, of becoming a slave in mind, as well as actions.
⛧Purgatory⛧
If theres one thing he fears more than returning to hell, it's returning to the purgatory he was sent to. He was tortured for over a millenia in this place, constant and total pain and torment, with nothing but his own screams for company.
⛧True Death⛧
Any rationaly being fears their own death. Ubaid does not fear going back into the cycle of reincarnation, it would be a freedom! What he fears is dying truly and utterly, his soul being destroyed and unable to live a new life anymore.
⛧Mind Control⛧
You would think something that Ubaid goes through on a daily basis wouldn't scare him, and it doesn't... It terrifies him. Part of the reason he goes along every order given is because he doesn't want the choice taken away from him, to be directly and totally controlled.
⛧Failure⛧
As someone who holds such confidence in himelf, it is no surprise that Ubaid has a repressed fear of failure. For something like that to happen would cause Ubaid to question everything he is.
Goals:
⛧Freedom⛧
Ubaid hopes that one day, he will finally be free. A distant, and seemingly impossible one to hold. One he tries to hide, even from himself, but one that is held deep withing himself nonetheless. There is nothing he wouldn't do to be free. He would rather die on his feet... Than live on his knees.
⛧Eradicate Lucifer⛧
Farfetched, and most probably impossible. Ubaid wishes to destroy Lucifer in every way possible. Every single one of his torments leads back to this man. If Ubaid ever gains the power necessary, you can be sure that the first thing he will do, is march into the gates of hell, and return with Lucifer's head.
⛧Return to Full Power⛧
Being trapped in purgatory for a thousand years seemed to weaken Ubaid. That's the reason he appears so young. Before that, he was a wizened old man, in the height of his power, deserving of respect, now he is a child. He can't wait for the day he returns to his true form.
⛧Help His Master Succeed⛧
One of things programmed into his brains is the desire to aid his master in succeeding their goals. This means Kazura's goals, are his goals, and he would aid in them just as much, if not more so than his own.
⛧Defeat All Other Akki⛧
This may be a bit surprising, but Ubaid wishes to defeat all other akki in the world in battle. Not necessarily kill, but he wants to prove his superiority and become the 'king' of all akki. As he believes he deserves.
Alignment: [Evil]
Aspect of Hell: [Resurrection]
Overall Personality:
Ubaid, naturally, is a rather solemn figure. He hears first and speaks after, but when he does speak, because of their rarity, his words carry a weight to them. He has a presence and force of will that cnnot be denied, menacing as it is. He reeks of repressed power and experience when he chooses to stop deceiving you. Of course, when he releases is an entirely different story. if he is repressed when he is sealed, then his release is complete and total, unleashed domination. He cannot abide any who stand against him in this state, and destroys any who try.
He is also very, very dark. Ubaid is a demon, and despite how he is restrained, that will not change. He enjoys killing, dominating, and destruction. You will find no sympathy in him for other creatures. Even his fondness for nature, is at it's core selfish. He hates others destroying it because he enjoys looking at it and experiencing it, and they are taking that away from him. His humor, his ideals, all of them are dark, and full of horror. This is what happens to a man when he is twisted and defiled in hell for centuries.
One thing about Ubaid however, he never lies. it is one of the few things he lives by. He considers himself above such pettiness. unlike lowly humans, he need not stoop to lying. Decieve? Yes, lead you to a wrong conclusion? Yes. But outright lie to you is something that Ubaid will not do, his pride will not allow it. Of course this doesn't mean he is a good person, remember, he does not do anything for idyllic reasons. he chooses to tell the truth because he finds lies distasteful, and his pride will not allow it.
Generally, Ubaid will not do something unless he benefits from it. however, this can extend to him simply getting some dark humor out of it, or even if he is simply bored. Mainly, when he takes action, its at the behest, or in the best interest of his Master. Everything he says and does must be seen through this lens. Not only does he act stoic and aloof because of his pride, but also because it would bring shame upon his Master for him to act like a brute. He doesn't kill everyone who annoys him, because it would not benefit his Master for such a thing to pass.
When he does have recreational time, Ubaid enjoys simple, elegant things. These are things one simply can't get in hell. While he does like refinement, that doesn't mean he likes the gaudy, or the flamboyant, quite the opposite, Ubaid detests waste. However, it is not uncommon to find him reading an excellent work of fiction alone, or listening to a fine orchestra. Of course, he also enjoys inspiring fear. However, he isn't some neanderthal hollow. he doesn't use brute force and might to inspire fear, he is much, much better than that.
Generally, ubaid uses subtle, creepy means to inspire fear. Using his unnatural features, ubaid will stare just a little too long, smile just a little too widely. His gaze will be a tad dead inside, outlying the proper emotions. He oftens hums a simple tune which, while pleasing at first glance, grows more and more melancholy, more and more twisted with each rendition. These types of things, the unnatural, the creepy, these are the things a man of Ubaid's intellect use. Of course, sometimes, there is a time and a place for awe inspiring power.
Deep inside, Ubaid is a bit fragile. He has fallen so very far from the heights he once held. From being a trusted general in hell, to a lowly slave. Not even a slave to a being of power, but enslaved to a human of all things. While Ubaid finds solace in his pride as an akki, that inherently is flawed. If things continue as they are, it i only a matter of time before Ubaid becomes singularly depressed. He cannot only continue to endure, to hope and strive for his freedom. These are the things that keep the fire in Ubaid lit.
Of course this all boils down to Ubaid. He actively seeks out evil, in the manner of causing pain and fear. he has no moral compass other than the commands given to him. He is utterly selfish and a true sociopath, the one exception being his master. He contains great pride, great rage at those who have wronged him, and he is known for his stubborness and intellect. His sheer force of will is one of his greatest features, and perhaps the only thing that has kept pushing him through everything in spite of his enslavement.
Limitless Power, Restricted
Fighting Style: [Insert Here]
Saisei Oni Overall Ability:
[Ubaid's Saisei Oni is indicative of himself as a warrior, and person. Powerful beyond measure, stubborn as steel, and utterly unstoppable. His aspect of hell is 'Ressurection' and that is exactly what his Saisei Oni does, resurrect him. Each stage of his Saisei Oni, can only be achieved through Ubaid taking fatal, or near fatal damage. Then, Ubaid's power explodes and restores him to his next stage of release. The drawback to this, of course, is ubaid being forced to feel the pain of dying every time he releases, or moves to the next stage. Ubaid can do this himself by focusing reitsu into his heart, and forcibly exploding it.
Every stage of his Saisei Oni is tougher, more resistant, and overall more powerful than the stage before. His body, his mind, even his spirit, all become more difficult to harm and control. One of the unique aspects of his release is that, whatever killed him to force him into the next stage, is utterly ineffective against him in the next, being only 10% as effective as it normally is. This power is rather specific, it doesn't extend to simple thing like 'sword slashes' or 'reitsu damage'. For example, if Ubaid were killed in his sealed form by a sword thrust through his heart, from that point on until his release ends, any sword thrust towards his heart will be only 10% as effective, meaning its offensive power and damage dealt is reduced to 1/10th it's normal.
This is only for sword thrusts to the heart, a spear to the heart, or a sword to the liver, would be just as effective as they normally are. For techniques, the specific technique used to kill him would be reduced to 10% effectiveness against him. Ubaid's body and soul adapts and grows through every stage of release, to the point that in Cuarta Etapa, he is nearly unstoppable. in fact, only one person has ever defeated Ubaid in his final release, and that is Lucifer, the King of Hell himself. In hell, Ubaid was known for being the Immortal, unable to be killed. This fear he instilled was enough to make him one of Lucifer's generals.]
Saisei Oni Appearances:
{Primera Etapa}
{Cuarta Etapa}
Saisei Oni Primera Etapa Techniques:
Technique Name: (Weapon)
Technique Name: Immortal's Body (Body)
Ubaid's first technique is his 'Immortal's Body'. This allows him, for an expedinture of reitsu, to fortify his own body. This fortification is limited, and only lasts for around a minute, it's not very long. He focuses reitsu in specific parts of his body, and briefly, the reitsu strengthens it, making it tougher. the ratio is 100 reitsu, to 100 points of durability. This is added on top of any existing defenses. The affected parts of his body gain an almost reflective, plastic quality when fortified, so an observant enemy will notice something different about it. This doesn't only strengthen the outer layer, this strengthens every parts, the hair, the skin, the muscle, the bones, even the blood and organs. This is the reason it can't last long, as it restricts bloodflow. At this stage, only small areas can be affected, around half a square foot in area. So a hand from the wrist up, or a foot from the ankle down, that size.
Drawbacks:
Other than the reitsu cost, this technique causes considerable pain in the affected area. It is as if one is being burned in that part of your body. While you can fight through, it is just as painful as actually getting struck by a technique in the area.
[Segunda Etapa: Allows for an entire limb to be fortified, lasts an entire post.]
[Tercera Etapa: Allows for even more body mass, such as the entire torso, lasts 2 posts.]
[Cuarta Etapa: Allows for 75% of the body to be protected, lasts for 3 posts.]
Saisei Oni Segunda Etapa Techniques:[/b]
Technique Name: Immortal's Mind (Body)
A passive technique, Ubaid becomes extremely resistant to anything that affects his mind. This means illusions, mind control, techniques that touch upon memories or emotions. The only exception to this is the Ring of Ubaid. If the technique being attempted upon him is of equivalent class to him, it takes 5 posts for ubaid to completely resist it, after that point, the technique will not affect Ubaid at all. If the technique is of lesser class, it requires 3 posts to nullify. If the technique is of superior class he cannot resist it at all. Every time a technique is nullified, the cost of that technique is taken from Ubaid's reitsu pool. This is a one time effect after the 3 posts are up.
Drawbacks:
Takes 3 posts to work AT BEST, reitsu cost, techniques of a higher class are not effected at all.
