The hunger was there. It was always there. The King of Beasts could never escape the constant hunger that drove him to seek out others to feed upon. Always lurking from the depths of his soul, the constant growling beneath the layers of consciousness, Adrastos sought out to feed. And yet, it wasn't like before. The tyrant lizard roamed the wastes of the White Desert. Before, his mind fogged, driving him with a tenacity that he wasn't familiar with. The same tenacity that drove him to fight that unknown Shinigami; the one who wielded the large buster like sword. A familiar weapon that he once wielded during his days of old. No longer did he possess such a form or a power. A power that he long forgotten. But now, now was his present strength. A strength that was driven by relentless hunger and impatience. Those he was very familiar with.
It wasn't like before. He faced the woman in white garbs, the one who wielded ice, and the other, the buster wielder; one of the two he faced numerous of times. Their last encounter was different. It sparked him to push further into his own mind, into his own spirit. Before, he would normally feed without further thoughts involved. Just like any other beast like him. Clawing, munching, tearing apart those that he saw in front of him in order to feed. It didn't matter who or what they were, just to eat. But now was different. Now, the beast had been able to think. A sense of something that he never had before in his time of relentless feeding. A sense of pride.
When doing so, he didn't really think. Adrastos had been acting on instinct alone rather than thought. Thinking back on it now gave him a sense of disgust. A disgusting thought of slaying foes who are weaker? No, that wasn't it. This revolved around the thought of not having control over his own actions. His body instinctively desiring to feed on others. It became a driving force of itself. A force that pushed and screamed at Adrastos. The Adjuchas didn't like that. It didn't want anything to impede his own thoughts. It felt as if he wasn't in control of himself. That thought angered him very much. A thought that drove him to what he does now.
For that reason, into the World of the Living, Adrastos began to feed once again. Not on those that didn't fight. There was no sense of pride in destroying weak targets. Nope. What Adrastos sought out were those that were armed, ready to fight, ready to die. The Hollows that lingered around were the first that the beast sought out. Another Adjuchas, like itself, Adrastos bit into. That creature desired the life of human child. Strong as the child was it wouldn't be something that Adrastos took interest in. He made sure that he was the one that struck first. Removing the Adjuchas' head wasn't difficult, as it's own instincts took over, as it was did for him.
The rival Hollow squirmed restlessly for the first few minutes before dying. The taste of iron in its blood was more than similar. Yet, all the more alluring. It was a taste that filled his mouth for days, awaiting for the next body to be devoured. It drove him all the more. He wanted more, more. His thoughts were becoming blurred as they did once before. Adrastos recognized that his own drive to seek out stronger souls was becoming powerful. Like ecstasy, it sent his body into a sense of euphoria. Sheer pleasure surged throughout the Hollow's body, yearning for more. A sense in which only a Hollow can only feel.
As such, he followed this sense. A feeling that his more primal nature could only know of, and make an understanding of. Another Hollow came into sight, this one fleeing, or it seemed to be chasing. A single human, rushing toward the darker alleys of the business district. This Hollow was following the human into the darkness, vanishing into one of the buildings. Adrastos followed. Adrastos' spiritual body allowed it to pass through physical objects in the human world. Underground? The Hollow was following the human underground? Loud noises began to emerge from within its depths. Vehicles of some sort. The humans used these things to move much quicker from location to location.
Further and further down into the Earth, Adrastos chased the Hollow down until it entered into a large opening. The noise was indeed loud. Greater than it was before. The vehicles he saw went around, following a track. Humans cheering, dancing, with lights blurring. Adrastos had never seen something like this before. A gathering of some sort that the Adjuchas did not recognize. Nonetheless, it gave pursuit to the Hollow from before. Adrastos did not sway in his conviction in finding the beast. It wouldn't be long until he saw it. Creeping up behind the human, slowly drawing its fangs as it's sexless lips peeled back to reveal its jawline.
Cranking it's jaw open, the Adjuchas lowered itself over the human, slowly closing the mouth as if to keep its presence unknown. But Adrastos wouldn't. No. This was his prey. A beast unto another beast, the Adjuchas lunged forward to snap the Hollow from its readied stance. The creature screamed. Gurgling the red fluids that spewed from its mouth and onto those that lingered around it. They felt it. Some of them heard it. Looking to see what had spilled unto them, the humans looked up to see the Tyrant Lizard snapping the Hollow off its feet and into the air. The powerful jaws of the Adjuchas slowly crushed the Hollow's insides, forcing them into a new shape that would fit into Adrastos' throat. The gnashing of bones and muscle spilled raw material of the Hollow onto those that were shocked by the sight. Shortly, the humans cried out and ran.
His head wailed back and forth as its talons clawed at the slightly limping body. The Hollow slowly gave itself to the shadows of its afterlife. Lifting up the white tent that covered most of its body, Adrastos feed on the Hollow within the ocean of screams. Humans and other spiritually aware beings fled their underground gathering, as those that were meant to protect them gathered to ward off the feeding Adjuchas. Adrastos turned to them, prepared to fight, as he was born to do.
