So with the dawn of the brand spanking new NPC system, we have a higher inscentive to use ryo, and in fact, NPCs can not only be made an progressed with it, but they can be ranked up with it! Which is PRETTY nifty!
However, this does come to mind that so far, the only stated barrier between an NPC and a rank is the Ryo cost. which for low-level things honestly is not a problem. However, as NPCs can be pushed up into class four, well its an npc. No real express reason to get bent out of shape. BUT, most organizations (or at least a GOOD number of the canon ones) have not only very LIMITED positions for high ranks (3-4), but they ALSO have very prestigious release and power options (Segunda/Bankai) associated with them. Meaning that RPCs can get their faces kicked out of the opportunity for a position because soemone ha enough money to put an npc in it.
Now obviously this sort of thing, if it actually becomes a problem, will be met with moderation in order to keep it from being an actual barrier to rpcs(ignoring npcs like the CC or Cain) but it DOES open the door to the question: Are there ranks or other aspects of NPCs that we should keep an eye on?
Now with respect to self-awareness, this is a bit of an impromptu post and by no means is this meant to rile anyone up. We have a team of moderators which frankly have done a very brilliant job making sure that our ranked RPCs retain activity and strength to hold that position.
However, I am curious as to the prospect, because RPCs DO hold valuable roleplay uses. So I'm curious to see what people think of the changes to RPCs in general, in addition to the subject of them holding important ranks.
