Thread Title: Participants: Kiera Bright, Grodd World: Human World Death Setting: Non Death Enabled Rating: R Location: Outside/Inside Kiera's home, an abandoned insane asylum on the outskirts of Karakura Town. Special Conditions: None Circumstances: Grodd has invaded Kiera's home, accidentally. He was chasing a Hollow who got the better of him and escaped and left him a little lost on the outskirts of Karakura. Thinking he should scout out this unfamiliar area for the Squad, he finds himself on the Failure's bad side which can't end well for one or both of them.
{{OOC I wrote most of this post with my eyes shut while loopy. Sorry.}}
Grodd was on a job. A real job, not some fake scripted mission where he had to explore the "unknown wild" and report on what he observed and discovered. It was rarely fun for him, and as usual he regretted his Squad choices. But he was here to honor Meian's memory, not to give glory to himself. If there was any glory to give, that is. Grodd had meagerly passed all of the basic introductory missions, and now could finally be "trusted" with a real mission out in the land of the living. Sire, he'd been here before, but this was his first mission that wouldn't be overseen by a superior officer.
It started out so good. Grodd had managed to locate a hive of Hollows tethered to the bell tower of the church. Every twelve hours they would come out and devour the church inhabitants when the clock struck noon or midnight respectively. The Hollow responsible, however, was nimble and quick. The Gorilla of a man smashed his way through alley after alley until he caught up with the creature. Or... he thought he did. What he thought to be the target he was chasing was no more than grafitti on a wall.
Feeling defeated and a bit depressed, Grodd continued down the alley, looking for signs of the thief. As he wandered, the realm of light and dark started to blend into the world of shdadow. He found himself looking up at an old abandoned insane asylum. Buildings like these only served to unnerve the Shinigami. Gave him primal fears of being caged, forced to do another's bidding, and more that he couldn't put a finger on. some sort of higher calling... And so, against his better judgement, he walked into the building, the front doors crashing around him as he pushed them into the walls as he opened them.

Keira was deep within the decrepit asylum. The whole place seemed like it would fall apart at any second. The years of neglect had taken their toll on the building. Patches of the ceiling had long collapsed leaving patches where the pale moon light would be able to low through easily. Very little light was available to the the young failure scientist. She made do with what she could. There were some lights still active throughout the asylum, but the hand made generators that Keira could make could only do so much. They were made of basically scrap metal and whatever she could find in town and abandoned in warehouses, not the most optimal of supplies. The power could only run a couple rooms which specifically, the kitchen and living quarters.
Keira was on the second floor of the asylum. The many rooms that once held people of questionable mental stats, were now converted into a makeshift laboratory. In a larger room, a hollow was strapped to a large slab or iron used as an examination table. The large lizard like hollow struggled weakly under the tranquilizers that she pumped into its system. Like everything else in the asylum the tranquilizers were hand made. She was well rounded as a scientist, which meant that using chemistry to make them was easy enough. The hollow was still awake, she would need it to be if her experiment was going to work. Keira had stuck it with several sensors and ivs, to see his reaction.
Keria started amped up the drugs looking for any kind of reaction. She really needed to concentrate on the hollow and the equipment. While maintaining the balance of drugs was the only thing keeping the thing alive. A sudden slam of the front door caused her to jump and accidentally hit the adjustment module. The hollow was in complete pain howling loudly for several minutes. With everything happening at once, it took her a moment to recollect her thought and try to salvage the hollow, but it was beyond her help at this point. It died and disappeared from the table. She only stood there in silence dropping the module on the ground with a metallic clank.
Suddenly anger overcame the failure. A violent anger that promised death to the one that caused all this to happen. She turned from the table and headed out of the door in a brisk walk. The pink haired scientist scanned the floor below her with her bright, glowing pink eyes seeing the intruder wondering around the lobby. The way he carried himself was bestial at best. Like some kind of uneducated monkey. She scowled down at him before raising an arm to take her down to the first floor. She stepped into the palm never letting the monkey leave her sight. "Hey monkey!" She called angrily. This is no place for your kind, unless you want to be dissected." It was a threat she had no problem fallowing through on.

Just moments after Grodd burst through the doors that seemed to call him deeper into the asylum, a loud howling of pain came from a floor above him. The howling lasted more than a few minutes before it faded, much to Grodd's annoyance. He hated loud noises. He could feel the stench of hollows throughout these halls with his newly developed Energy Sensory. It had taken effort, but he had managed to attune himself to the unfamiliar sixth sense. He found he was actually pretty proficient at it too. So this new sense was still a little foreign to him. He knew what a Shinigami smelled like, and knew what Hollows smelled like, but other races were foreign to him.
When the pink haired girl floated down from a hole in the ceiling, riding a disembodied hand, Grodd tried to make sense of the whole situation. Her scent was completely unknown to him, but distinctly powerful. Breathtakingly powerful. Everything about her felt miles away from him, and he considered running for an instant, but he stood his ground. His Zanpakutou Spirit had challenged him with finding powerful opponents to conquer in order that he could take her name for himself. Whatever that would do for him... But he had to try. He steeled his resolve, flipped her off with both hands, and prepared for the worst.
Unlike his usual fighting style, mainly due to his nervousness and fear that was uncommon for him, Grodd acted first. However, he didn't blindly charge in. He picked up the door that he had smashed in, spun it around like a shot put, and hurled it in Kiera's direction. He hoped to hit her square in the stomach and knock her off that creepy floating hand. Maybe then, with her on the ground, he could follow up with a good old fashioned pummeling. But he waited to see what she did. The creepy hand could probably do way more than just carry her. It had to be strong enough to at least hold her up, and was probably strong enough to deflect a door if it didn't mind dropping her. After all, there was no way there could be more hands, right?

Keira scowled down at the man below her. She remained a few feet above him, giving her the high ground, which was an advantage she liked to have. Keria crossed her thin pale arms across her small chest. Her dirty lab coat billowed slightly. It was obviously too big for her. She looked over the man trying to discern what his intentions could be. Her pink eyes went immediately to the sword he carried. Keira had seen those swords on multiple occasions. The swords of the shinigami. She had fought quite a few of them during her...life as a failure. Most of them saw her as a threat due to her instability, and they tried to subdue her. Key word being try.
She had met some ok ones, not ones that she particularly remember since there was nothing worth remembering. This one didn't seem like one of those. He was not near intelligent enough. She watched him look up at her unable to comprehend what was in front of him. Maybe he didn't even know what a girl was. She then saw him reach for the door that he knocked down. She sighed. Well it seemed that the doors were on the ever growing things to replace. He threw one of the doors at her. Keira didn't even blink. She summoned another reiatsu arm right in front of her easily knocking the flying door to the side. shattering not only against the hand, but also against the wall.
"That was a big mistake monkey." She said darkly. She summoned two more sending them right at him at full 500 speed. She wanted them to either collide into him and send him flying back out the door, or would try to grab him and toss him out. She would fallow if that was the case, but stay where she was if not. If there was a place for them to fight inside of the asylum, it would have been the lobby. It was basically just a ruined lobby at this point. She didn't do anything with it since she never wanted to entertain guests of any kind. Still she would not want to fight in the asylum since it would have been easy for him to run into one of the labs, or get smacked through the wall.
The door attack... failed. Miserably. Grodd's instincts were completely wrong as Kiera smashed the door apart with a newly summoned arm. Not only did the arm demonstrate adequate strength by knocking the door aside into the wall, it demonstrated incredible strength by pulverizing it into fragments that damaged the wall that they struck. Once again feeling that he had stumbled into somewhere that could cost him his life, the Shinigami shook off feelings of dread and prepared for the counter attack. Two more arms came speeding at him, way faster than he could move on his own. They were a blur to his mediocre vision and too fast for his average instincts.
The man found himself knocked to the curb, literally, as the arms like freight trains bowled him out of the asylum and flung out into the street. If he was anything but a stubborn idiot he would have taken the opportunity to run out of there and never come back. But... he's a stubborn idiot. A stubborn idiot who just started to bleed. When Grodd started to bleed from being knocked out of the asylum, something darker started to rise in the Shinigami's soul. The blood hadn't made it into Grodd's mouth just yet, as he was more scraped up along his back and arms, so the blood lust hadn't kicked in yet. But still, something was stirring.
Blood...
Standing back up and shaking himself off, Grodd thought for a moment about how he could deal with the disparity in power between his opponent and himself. He... didn't come up with much. Kiera followed him out of her home, riding her floating hand like a magic carpet. Why didn't she just walk? She didn't seem the lazy type, even if her clothes were a little big for her. Maybe she just did that because she could? If Grodd could fly like that, he'd never walk again, probably. Regardless, Grodd wanted to try to get close to her before her hands could knock him away again, so he tried a different tactic than thrown projectiles.
Grodd disappeared with a flash step, well, rather he blurred quickly. His Shunpo wasn't too impressive, a measly 1000 stat speed. Faster than the arms, yeah, but Kiera could create them where she needed them. And her instincts where highly tuned. The blur might be difficult to track well because she had average senses, but Grodd was most likely going to be on the losing side of this assault. He flash stepped to approach Kiera from behind, moving past her into the Asylum's entry way then spinning around in a right hook to her "unprotected" back.

Keira watched the two arm smack the monkey like a fly out of the door. She smiled and seeing him skid across the pavement. Keira rushed after him knowing that if she had stayed in the lobby, he would have kept coming back in and trying to fight her there. She would ride out and meet him. Once outside, Keira watched him struggle to get back on his feet. He seemed eager to face her despite the smack he had just received. she sighed at his stubbornness. Why was everyone so eager to fight a losing battle? The longer she thought about the monkey, the more frustrated she became. He was wasting her time. He had cost her a hollow specimen.
She did not let her anger distract her. Though his shunpo was far slower than all the other she had seen before, it was enough for her to not be able to track. However, he was incredibly predictable. Literally every shinigami she fought tried to pull this same sneak attack. Flash step behind her and attack her back. Her instincts kicked in before anything else did, though she was expecting a maneuver like this. she did not even need to turn around. Two hands sprang up behind her palms level with the monkey. His punch would hit one of the hands dead center, and on contact the hand would close around his arm. The other would quickly go for the other arm.
The two arms would bring him around to face her. Far enough that he couldn't kick her until the two arms she summoned before grabbed them as well. They would hold him tight enough so he wouldn't escape, but not tight enough to start crushing anything yet. They left him hanging in front of her. She smiled a smug smile on her face. She still kept at least an arms length away just in case something would happen. She would rise to meet his eyes clasping her hands behind her back. "So monkey, can you speak?" She demanded. Her tone was demanding and mocking. She was going to see if this monkey possessed any intelligence at all. After all hollows were able to speak at some point.

Grodd's fist met another spontaneously generated arm and was immediately seized and locked up followed by his other arm being grabbed and his whole body being lifted off the ground. Furious, the Shinigami began kicking wildly in a rage while dark thoughts continued to be whispered into his mind by the Beast Within. He couldn't fight back, he couldn't hit the girl because she was just out of reach, and he couldn't think of any way out. Her smug face taunted him, and her words only aggravated him. Could he speak? No. Would he give her a response? Yes. While still struggling to find any sort of way out, Grodd summoned up all of the strength in his lungs...
And then he spit at her face. Just hawked a giant mucus and saliva blob right at her face. Rude? Yes. Offensive? Totally. Worth it? That remained to be seen. He was trapped by ten foot long arms with hands big enough to enclose both of his hands tight with more strength than he could muster. So this was probably going to go really far south for him. But he still had no decency in him. That just was who he was. He was Grodd, the Bestial Mute. While still kicking and fighting the grip, he could still hear the whispers in his head. Blood...

Keira's mind went blank when he spat in her face. It took a moment for her brain to register what was going on. She wiped her cheek with her sleeve staring at it in disbelief. Did...did this monkey just...Reality was starting to set in, and with her so did her anger. Her small body shook with rage. Her fists clenched tightly, but making sure that it wasn't enough to cause her to detonate accidentally. She was going to make the monkey suffer for this. Her eyes shot up to meet his, the reiatsu arms that restrained his arms and legs tightened painfully, but not enough to break anything. "You should not have done that." She whispered darkly loudly enough for him to hear.
She would suddenly fling him up into the air before one of the reiatsu arms spiked him back to the ground like a volleyball. The force of the hit would cause him to bounce up slightly. Before he could recover, Keira grabbed him again squeezing him tightly. She wanted to hear him scream in pain. She wanted to hear the crack of the bones giving way and breaking. Once she did, she tossed him into a nearby wall and pointed her finger at his chest glaring darkly. "Byakurai" Lightning flew from her finger tip hitting the monkey in the chest. "Byakurai, Byakurai, Byakurai," She wasn't being too accurate with her blasts. Her rage over came her clouding her mind and judgment.
She moved quickly over to where the monkey should be. All she saw was rubble from her lightning and his impact with the wall. She knew he was there though. She used her arms to search through the rubble for him and picked him up by one of his legs. He would have been a mess, but still breathing for the moment. She would slam him into the ground again still holding onto his leg to be sure that he was incapacitated. She would drag him into the asylum only picking him up when they entered the lobby to avoid him bleeding all over the floors. He could still prove useful. She would experiment on the monkey. She had a few painful ones already in mind for him.
She carried him to the second floor, and into the same room she was experimenting with the hollow. Sure she couldn't do the same thing to him that she wanted to do with the hollow, but she had many instruments and ideas in her head. She would strap him to the table doubling the restraints, and even putting a muzzle on him to avoid any more disgusting spit from his mouth. She would collect a bit of blood from him taking it to another room for analysis. This was going to be fun. A wicked smile spread across her face. Now all she could now was wait for him to wake up then the fun could begin. First thing's first though, she would need to replace the door. Luckily she had some spares.
