Hotaru was sitting at her desk, rummaging through all the papers on her desk. She found one that was near the top and while reading it, she found out that she was getting one new member to her squad. The name of the shinigami was Arantima Aoire. An interesting name for a shinigami to be sure, but this was one of the newest members of the squad since she got the Captaincy. Therefore, she wanted to see what he could do.
She called a runner into her office, telling the squad member to find their fellow squad member. She didn't know if he was even around the barracks, but she wanted him to find this shinigami as quickly as possible. The runner was to tell the shinigami that he was to meet her in the training grounds for the Tenth Division. If he didn't know how to get there, the runner was supposed to guide him there.
Once the runner went about his task, she grabbed her Captain's Haori. She put it on quickly while walking out of her office. She locked the door behind her and left a note that she would return shortly. Well, maybe not shortly, but it was just more or less of notice to her squad that she wasn't going to be here. She then quickly made her way towards their division's training grounds. It didn't take her long to get there.
Once she arrived, she looked around. She had honestly never been to these training grounds before. If she needed to train, she trained at the Kuchiki Manor, where there was a lot more space and she could run around a little more freely. If she didn't train there, she trained in the Human World with her husband. She did that more than training here, now that she thought about it. She walked up to the middle of the grounds.
She unsheathed her zanpaktou and closed her eyes quietly. She felt Rivu~aiasan stir inside her sword, moving to touch her mind. She didn't want to be drawn into the Inner World, she just wanted to talk to him quickly. The new shinigami could arrive at anytime and was asking for advice. After their little talk, she silently released to her Shikai. Her cannon and scimitar covered in flames gleamed in the sunlight. She decided to try one new technique. So, when the new shinigami would walk in, he would see Hotaru blow on the edge of her sword, looking like she was breathing fire.
