Keria approached the warehouses crossing her arms. She hated that she had to keep scavenging for whatever she needed. She was not able to acquire what she needed under normal means due to her temperament and her appearance. She could blend in to a crowd if she really tried to, but one would be able to see that she was not normal in the dark. She did not do well around people either. She was too much of a hot head, and too condescending for people to stand her. Living in a decaying asylum for several decades took a toll on her people skills. Her patience for people who doesn't know what they are doing never was good even when she was normal.
Keria walked into the closest warehouse to start to search. She was looking for anything that she could use in machinery. She scanned the boxes around her with her pink eyes. She used her flood ability to form two large arms, made out of her own reiatsu to start going through and sorting the tons of boxes. She opened one after another quickly dumping the contents where she can see it, and using her large, fifteen foot, purplish black arms to either move them into piles of things that she has no interest in, and another pile of things that might have some components she can take out, and one more pile for things she can use as is.
The howl of a hollow interrupted Keira's search for more supplies. These hollow attacks were getting to be quite the bother. She was not one to cower in fear of such creatures even with their ferocious reputation. She was well aware of the risks that she was facing. Which made fighting them directly more of an option rather than hiding. She could not suppress her reiatsu enough to hide from such creatures making it a futile effort. She stepped out of the warehouse she was in to face it head on. The large centipede like creature charged her. She was able to knock it away easily with her reiatsu arm. It smashed into another warehouse that she didn't investigate yet.
She sighed and walked to it, as the hollow started to recover. The two arms continued to pummel the poor hollow to death as she slowly approached. The look of apathy, even a little joy, could be seen in those glowing pink eyes. She watched doing noting but sitting on another arm that she formed underneath her. She sat in the palm of the hand leaning her back against the straightened fingers like a queen would sit on her throne. Before too long the hollow had completely vanished. It's howls of pain slowly fading into the distance. "Pathetic creatures." She mumbled as she started to go through the mess that the hollow had created of the warehouse. She would need to work more in order to get at what was once inside it. That was if they were any good now.

More deployment orders....
Yetsuna was within sight range of the senkaimon as the black butterfly arrived to give her her orders, not that she needed to be told them. A simple mission she had done a hundred times before; go into the world of the living, find the hollow, and slay the hollow. Since the start of last year the number of hollow hunting deployments she had been on had increased fairly dramatically. The rumor mill in the squad told her that she was being considered for a seated position and the higher-ups were putting her through the ringer.
Normally she dismissed such things as idle gossip, but the possibility didn't seem too far fetched. She had a fairly respectable number of hollow kills under her belt, enough to the point where she was considered one of the best hunters in the squad (among unseated members). She was almost in contact with her zanpaktou spirit too, she had seen him silhouette a few times, even heard speak once or twice, but his name still eluded her. All things considered she did seem like she would be a candidate for a seated position.
Regardless of whether or not the rumor was true she had her deployment orders and she had to follow them. She stepped through the senkaimon and after a flash of white light she was standing above some kind of warehouse district. The hollow was close, she could sense its reaitsu, but almost as quickly as she felt its presence it was gone. Either had retreated to Huneco Mundo, someone had slayed the beast, or it had (somehow) managed to hide conceal its reaitsu.
She began to move in the direction she had sensed to hollow, staying high in the air so that she would be able to spot the beast easier. In less then a minute she not only managed to find the smashed remains of the hollow, but she found something she had never seen before. She didn't even know what to make of what she was seeing, but she could feel ill intent bleeding out of the reaitsu, and that was almost never a good thing.
She slowly began to work way down towards a roof top close to the girl who seemed to be controlling, what she was guessing, were some kind of giant reaitsu hands. Her presence wasn't exactly hidden, but she hadn't announced herself either, if the girl was aware of her surroundings she would likely noticed the green haired shinigami closing in. Yetsuna would observe the girl for a short while trying to figure out her next move. Her hand wasn't on her blade, but she was on guard, she didn't know what was going on and she didn't plan to be caught with her pants down.

Keira was able to quickly shift the rubble away, and start to sort though the junk that was inside. The hollow attacks were starting to get irritating. It was already going to take a few days to go through all of the warehouses at the rate she expected without interruptions. If the rate for hollow attacks remained constant, it would push her work scheduled back at least a week before she was able to finish. She growled shifting through everything faster than she really wanted. It wasn't like she was looking for anything specific in the warehouses. She was mainly looking for scrap metal, any working electronics, anything of that nature.
With the pile she assembled before the hollow attack, she was able to make another large pile of stuff she could use back at her lab. She thought that this would be enough for her arms to carry. She didn't want to leave a trail for curios people to fallow. Though on the other hand, if she did she might be able to capture some live specimens for other experiments. She shook her pink haired head. No, she needed to focus on the generator for now. Not only that, she also had to start fixing up the asylum in which she made her home and laboratory. She thought about all the things that the place would need to really be a safe place to work in.
Just off the top of her head, Keira noted that she would need to fix the numerous gaping holes in the exterior walls to keep out the vermin. She didn't just mean animals when she thought of vermin. She also knew that in several areas, the roof was starting to sink in. That was going to prove a problem. "Geez why is solitude come with so freaken many problems?" She asked herself reaching into her dirty, tattered, lab coat for a jolly rancher. She popped the blue candy into her mouth taking a calming breath. "Calm down girl. The place needs maintenance even when it is not constantly being battered by my failed experiments." She chuckled lightly starting to gather her things.
She had noted earlier that there was a presence nearby. She had tried to ignore it thinking that it would go away if she didn't acknowledge it. Apparently it had been there the entire time. If it was one thing that she was absolutely paranoid about, it was people watching her for too long. She looked up at the nearby roof top seeing a figure standing on it watching her. She glared at the woman standing there. Whoever it was had green hair and wore a black robe or something. She also noted that she also had a sword at her hip. Keira might need to keep an eye on that one. She stopped her arms from gathering the things turning them to face her.
She used her powers to form another one directly under Keira. Keira rose slowly to the hand's full length of fifteen feet high. The hand was wide enough for her to stand comfortably with the amount of space. With her arms crossed in front of her chest, Keira glared at the woman with her bright pink eyes. Her eyes would glow significantly because of her unstable reiatsu. She will need to get rid of her quickly. She didn't want the girl to fallow her to her lab. "Hey you know that it rude to spy on people?" She stated anger clear in her voice. The other hands also rose, but were significantly lower than she was. She didn't want to threaten the girl and start a fight, but she would use intimidation to dissuade one.

The girl began to use the hands she had somehow spawned to rummage through pile of supplies, separating them in some fashion that Yetsuna coundn't figure out, not that she really cared. She did have to admit it was a interesting spectacle to observe, she hadn't seen anything quite the it in her several years of duty. Her reaitsu had the tell tale feeling of human, but it wasn't like an average humans. No, it seemed to...unstable? Vast? she couldn't find the right word to describe it correctly.
Watching the girl wasn't yielding Yetsuna as much information as she had hoped, but she couldn't just up and leave the area. She had reported her discovery back to the soul society an was awaiting further orders, but based on previous experiences things were likely to go south before they back follow up orders. Surely enough things began to go bad; she had been spotted, not that she was hiding very well to begin with.
The girl called out to her and summoned another hand underneath herself to raise to Yetsuna's level. Yetsuna gave a fake nervous chuckle and scratched the back of her head, "It's nothing personal. I was sent to deal with that hollow you killed earlier and when I saw you and reported your activity I was ordered to follow until given other orders." The second half of her statement was a lie, though the other girl wouldn't know it.
As Yetsuna talked she watched the girl with a careful eye, that ability of hers could be a small problem for her. Yetsuna had grown accustomed to watching the subtle movements of her opponents bodies to see what they were going to do next, but it seemed like the human girl didn't need to use any physical action to execute her ability. While the green haired shinigami doubted the girl would begin a fight without provocation she liked to be safe over sorry.

"It's nothing personal. I was sent to deal with that hollow you killed earlier and when I saw you and reported your activity I was ordered to follow until given other orders." So, she was sent here to take out that hollow? Keira nearly rolled her eyes. She sure got right on that one. Then again Keira couldn't hold the mystery woman too much at fault. It was not her fault that Keira seemed to attract hollows all the time. If anything she should be apologizing to the woman in black for the inconvenience, but that isn't exactly her style. As Keira saw it, she took care of everything herself. So this girl has no business sticking around and watching her.
The second part of her statement was hitting more nerves than one. If it was one thing that she hated, it was people trying to pry into her business. Her anger would show plainly on her face. She could understand that this woman was a grunt, and not the one giving orders, but she will not tolerate being fallowed regardless. " Well good job on the hollow. Whoever you work for are really on the ball on that one." She said the sarcasm dripping from her words like venom. "You say that you were ordered to watch me. Who do you work for?" She demanded more than she asked. She did not change her position on top of the hand watching her opponent as closely, no doubt as closely as Yetsuna was watching her.

It seemed like the girl believed the little lie she had told, but it didn't seem like it had done much to keep the girl from become enraged. The girl spoke back, her words so full on venom Yetsuna probably could have coated dagger with and and poisoned her enemies, not that she used poisons to begin with. Regardless, Yetsuna was caught somewhat off-guard by the girls quick escalation from friendly to to hostile.
She was caught even more off-guard when the human girl asked who she worked for. It seemed unlikely, almost impossible, that someone with so much raw power didn't know who the shinigami were, it's not like they even went to lengths to hide themselves from spiritually aware humans. Yetunsa paused, trying to think how best to respond to the girls question, "I'm what you might calla Death God.." Yetsuna goes into the details of her profession, trying to give her a light a version as possible.
After her explanation, and if she wasn't interrupted, Yetsuna would ask a few questions of her own. "So how haven't you heard of the Gotei? I mean for a human with such raw spiritual power it seems almost impossible, unless....How old are you?" Both were innocent questions that Yetsuna was actually wondering, though how the girl would receive them was something up for debate (and something she was also somewhat curious about).

"I'm what you might calla Death God.." Keira narrowed her eyes at the explanation that she was given. She should not be that surprised though nor was she. It seemed that the organization that she was working for had to deal with some sort of stealth. No matter, she had her ways of finding out the information that she required. It was all just a matter of time. In fact, she had her suspicious. She had been plagued by some people who call themselves...damn what did they call themselves? Keira hand to think hard on this one. Shini...shini something. Now that she was thinking harder on it. They did all tend to wear the same kind of clothes.
"So how haven't you heard of the Gotei? I mean for a human with such raw spiritual power it seems almost impossible, unless....How old are you?" Keira snapped up at the question. What the hell did that have to do with anything? But it was not important. Gotei...Where did she hear that word used before. She dug deep into her brain for any sort of mention of Gotei. It came to her at last. It was something one of those men in black robes said when he so rudely intruded on one of her experiments. Something about the Gotei thirteen wanting to keep her contained, or something to that extend. She wasn't really paying much attention to them.
Then it all come together. She must be one of those Shinigami. Now it all made sense. The order to watch her, and to kill hollows. The elusive nature of their organization in her world. She always wanted to experiment on one of them, but never was able to get a very good specimen. Maybe this will be the one she can keep. "Oh now I understand. A shinigami. You're one of those people in black robes that keep interrupting my experiments." Her voice had an edge of irritation to it, but nothing outright threatening. "I swear they are all like rats. They keep coming in no matter how many it take out, and no matter how hard I keep hitting them." She sounded like she describing an infestation of vermin rather than talking about thinking people.

Yetsuna was somewhat surprised to see that the girl had to put some effort towards putting together what most would call a fairly simple puzzle, if they would even call it that. Once she had pieced it all together, however, she would say something that would peak Yetsuna curiosity in more way than one. The first, and most obvious, thing that caught her interest was the reference to some sort of experiment she had been preforming. Normally she wouldn't have given such a comment a second thought, but the girls tone, along with the fact shinigami had intervened in the past, told her that there was more than likely something to be concerned about.
The green haired shinigami began to raise her hand to the blade strapped to her back, not drawing it, but just letting her hand hang there, a sign that she was ready to fight if the need should arise. As she raised her hand she spoke to the pink haired "scientist", her tone was threatening, but there was a certain chill to it, "So going by what you just said, I'm going to take a guess and say not only have you met and fought shinigami in the past, but you've killed them as well. I'm also going to guess that your experiments are probably illegal if they had to intervene."
"If that is the case you're going to be taken into custody and you're going to be coming back with me to stand trial for your crimes." This was the first time that she was going to have to detain a human for crimes against the Gotei, it probably would have been within her full rights to kill the girl where she stood, but such an act wasn't much of Yetsuna's style. If she needed to she would slay the girl if needed, she wouldnt trade her own life to place a criminal under arrest.
She knew the girl was going to fight her, its very rare any criminal ever goes quietly, but the shinigami wanted to give the girl a chance to surrender. The minute the girl rebuffed her chance to go peacefully Yetsuna would shunpo behind the girl, her blade drawn and in mid-swing, aiming for her spine. She would have her eyes watching her surroundings for any more of those hands the girl could spawn and control, she didn't know how her power worked and she knew that put her at a disadvantage. She would either have to end this quickly before she got a real chance to use her powers or bide her time and figure out some of its properties.

"So going by what you just said, I'm going to take a guess and say not only have you met and fought shinigami in the past, but you've killed them as well. I'm also going to guess that your experiments are probably illegal if they had to intervene." Keira had to do a double take when she heard that. She did not get how the shinigami came to that conclusion from what she said. Yeah she fought a few shinigami that had trespassed into her asylum, but that was in her own defense. She had met a few shinigami that were actually pleasant company, even for her standards. Plus, she never said anything about killing them. This girl really needs to learn how to listen.
"If that is the case you're going to be taken into custody and you're going to be coming back with me to stand trial for your crimes." Keira knew that look in her eyes. She knew that she was not going to back down now. Keira was not in the mood for a fight. Lucky for her, Keira had already a few flood arms out and ready for combat. If this shinigami thought that she would just let her walk all over Keira, then she had another thing coming. Keria's eyes turned as hard as steel, and if her glares could kill, she would have killed the shinigami woman several times over in a matter of moments. It seemed that his was inevitable. It was a shame.
"I am sorry you think that way. It seems the brilliant are never appreciated during their time. As much as I loathed to fight a pointless battle, it seems we are at a road block, and neither of us will give." She walked calmly to her hand sitting down on it like a throne. The fingers of the hand cupped straight up to protect and support her back. "I have no intention of going with you. Especially on your half baked assumptions." She stated coldly. She launched two of her arms at the shinigami. She would intentionally miss her trying to show that maybe she was out matched, and that she should back off. Keria didn't like fighting for nothing, and this was just that.
Post by Yetsuna Yishnir on Apr 10, 2016 15:46:12 GMT -5
Yetsuna almost busted out laughing at the girl remark about geniuses and not being appreciated. The girl fancied herself some sort of highly intelligent human, and maybe by all rights she was, the shinigami didn't have enough information to draw a real conclusion yet, but her gut and some of the circumstances pointed towards the opposite. But that wasn't the thing that she found amusing about her reply, no it was how she was unappreciated. While some geniuses did indeed go unappreciated during their times she doubted many of them ever did unethical experiments like this girl (likely) was.
The pink haired girl seemed like quite the ego maniac, she seemed to think of others as less than human, or maybe she was just attempting to get under her skin. Either way Yetsuna planned to take that girl in, she had been approached by other shinigami in the past, now it was her turn. And she didn't have any intentions of failing where her comrades did.
The human launched two of her arms, they were surprisingly quick, but it was nothing that the shinigami couldn't deal with. The second she saw the attack launched she executed a shunpo, disappearing from the girl vision and reappearing a few feet behind the girl. Yetsuna's arm was mid-swing as she became visible to regular sight, one quick clean stroke to end the fight before it truly began.

The two flood arms slammed into the roof of the building where the shinigami was standing on. Though they were intentionally going to miss their target, it would seem that they would have missed even if she was aiming at the shinigami. It was clear that there was no way that this shinigami was going to back down. This was going to be a pain in the ass. Keira would have to fight her now. She was not the best at sensing people at the moment, but she knew that the shinigami was still nearby.
She had fought shinigami before as she said. When the shinigami was able to use shunpo, it was not a surprise to her. She was not going to let this fluster her. All she needed to do was think. Where would someone think to strike next. What would people normally think of when planning a counter attack. She also had to take what she could gather about the shinigami into account. It seemed she didn't want to fight as much a she did, well she was more willing to fight for the foolish reason she believes.
She would most likely want to take Keira alive, to face "justice" for a crime that does not exist. Keira would need to be careful. Maybe she should warn the woman about what would happen if she was struck. Keira was well aware of her volatile state, but it was clear that shinigami just thought that she was an ordinary human. In the short time in between the shunpo and the attack, Keira would fold the fingers of the hand she was sitting in around herself to better shield her back from attack. She also moved forward as much as she could to be sure to avoid a hard hit.
The split second adjustments seemed to work. She heard the sword strike the back of the hand. The hand's physical strength was greater than the shinigami's. The sword did little but scratch it. Keira swung her other two hands in a back hand like motion to get the shinigami to back off. If that worked she would turn her riding hand around to face the woman. "If you plan on taking me prisoner, there is something that you need to know." She would point at the sword she wielded in her hand. "If you so much as scratch me with what blade, my unstable body will detonate and kill innocent people. Will you have that on your conscious?"
Keira was not sure if the shinigami would heed her warning, or just think that it was another threat or bluff. Either way she could not afford to allow herself to be cut by the sword. She has too much she needed to do. Keira's pink eyes narrowed trying to guess what the shinigami would do next. She would defend herself if the shinigami attacks her again, but she is willing to end this fight if the shinigami did as well. She sighed. All this just to get some materials that may be useful. Why does everything have to suck so much?
