Keira Bright was working on her latest research subject deep in the bowls of an old, decaying, abandoned asylum on the outskirts of Karakura Town. She lives out her life in isolation nothing but her thirst for knowledge to keep her going. The woman used her flood ability to create arms of reiatsu to perform the experiments and do pretty much all the strenuous thing for her. The long, purplish, black arms worked quickly and surprisingly dexterously, despite their size, at the small devise on the table in front of her. She crossed her arms to her chest making quick calculations in her head, and mentally making the arms make their adjustments.
In the light of day, she would look like any other girl, despite looking malnourished and homeless. Her pale skin is completely flawless, and her eyes glowed a bright pink color. Her hair was a darker shade of pink coming down to her collar bone. She wore part of it in a side pony tail to keep at least some of it out of her way. she wore a plain, simple, dirty, white dress that came down to her thighs. She Kiera never cared about how she looked. She had grown used to looking like that. Besides, what was the point of looking nice, when she spends all of her time in an a decrepit asylum? When one has been alone for as long as she has, they tend to damn civilization all together.
Keria didn't choose to live all the way out here. Since she had been abandoned in this asylum after her accident, she has had no where else to go. Her family had abandoned her. The staff abandoned her once all the other inmates have died. She was alone. She didn't need anyone anyway. She only needed herself to continue her scientific career, even though it isn't really a career. She will continue her pursuit of knowledge whatever the cost. The only time she really goes into Karakura Town, is to gather some components that she would need. She usually comes out at night to avoid interacting with as many people as possible. Plus, it is easier to steal what she needed at night.
Keira inspected the small devise that she was working on, and just needed a small bolt to keep everything together. She looked around her make shift laboratory looking for the piece she needed. She swore that she just had the thing. She picked up and turned over just about everything to try and that little bolt, but it seemed that she had miscounted how many she had. She sighed growling slightly to herself. "Now i need to go into town to get more. That is just great." She sighed and dismissed her arms as she made her way to one of the busted walls facing the town. She looked at the town with disdain. Why did she always need to rely on other people? She question in her head.
She made her way into Karakura Town pretty quickly. She looked around to see most of the shops were closed. The lights were off and it would seem that everything was locked up tightly. They thought their merchandise was safe from her. If Keira was not so occupied with her "Scientific" projects, she would easily make a good criminal. It wasn't like their security could keep her out for long. She walked up to the entrance of the hardware store and formed one of her hands. She used it to smash through the glass door sounding an alarm. She walked at a brisk pace looking for the isle that she needed. She found it, and the bolt that she was looking for.
Kiera could hear some of the sirens as well taking those as her signal to get out of there. She slipped out of the back making her way through some ally to get as far from the store as she could. She stopped to catch her breath. She really needed to try and steal in bulk the next time. She took out some tools from a belt she fashioned her self and got her hands to work on the small devise. The devise was something of a lure for hollows. She wanted to be able to call them to her location. The problem was that she wanted to figure out a way to do it without getting the attention of something that she could not handle. She put in a sensor that would read her level of abilities and try to look for a hollow's signature that was close to hers.
Once she was done she had to test it. She pressed the large red button on the top of the devise, and it started to send out a signal for anything that can sense energy could sense. It didn't take long for her to get a response. A loud howl told her that she had successfully lured one in. She could hear it's thunderous footsteps as it slowly made its way to her. From the sound of it, it was pretty large. She didn't think that she would have gotten one this big. It rounded the corner and a ten foot tall creature stood over her. It was huge. It's gorilla like arms were like tree trunks at least three feet thick. On top of it's neck was a head with not one, but three faces on it.
He howled loudly at her and attempted to rush her. Keria was aware of the dangerous of the experiment and came prepared. She summoned her arms again. Two would grab into it's bull like legs in an attempt to keep it from moving. Two more came from the walls of a building to grab it's arms. Then another two came and started beating on the thing with all the force they could muster. It seemed like the hollow was feeling the blows, but it managed to thrash out of the hold that she had on it. It was stronger than she expected. Damn it, she would need to re-calibrate the sensor again. That is going to be another twenty hours of her life going nowhere.
She had other problems to deal with right now. The hollow was coming right for her, and her arms were doing little to slow them down now that he was able to get momentum going. Keira summoned one right from under her and had it move her away from it post haste. It was almost like she was riding a hand shaped magic carpet. Only instead of flying through a whole new world, she was flying for her life from a thing that wanted to eat her alive. She needed a way to slow it down. It opened its mouth and started shooting some kind of projectile at her. They were fast, and small, but lucky for Keira it wasn't very accurate. She summoned one more hand to shield her from the projectiles for as long as it could.
She made a wrong turn, and found herself at a dead end. She might be able to have her hands raise her up, but she thought that would make her too vulnerable for whatever else the hollow had up its non existent sleeves. Keira brought all her arms she summoned so far ready for the thing to attack. It reared up to its full height and howled loudly as if pronouncing its triumph. "I am not dead yet you idiot. You want me then have at me!" She shouted at it. She had her long arms in a defensive position. It was strong, but not strong enough to get through all of her arms unscathed, or at leas that was what she was counting on right now.
