Joy coursed through Marcus’s veins as he slipped the gear over Harle’s finger, rising to her eye level once more as they stared into one another. Marcus was not sure where his path led, but he was confident that it ran right beside Harle’s. They would travel through life together, wherever it took them. A rush of energy swelled in his heart as he stared at the woman he was going to be with until the end of time. Keeping one of his hands close to her heart, Marcus used the other to wipe away the tears from her cheeks.
"Yesz. I willz marry you, Marcusz." With those words, Harle had cast a spell – or more accurately, she had broken one. An energy began to surge within the fullbringer. He began to glow like a beacon, rays of azure light dancing around him. While this strange occurance caught Marcus off-guard, he wasn’t afraid. The energy felt liberating. As his reiatsu reached its peak, Marcus began to relax once more. However, it had a different aura to it. Previously, while his reiatsu had been quite potent, it was unstable. Now, Marcus’s energy was pure and natural.
More so, Marcus had undergone a significant change beneath the surface. His reiatsu strength might have dropped marginally, but the trade-off was worth it. The curse he faced, one that interfered with his ability to communicate, was caused by a damaged spirit. His soul had been shattered by Satsujun, and Marcus was unable to heal on his own. But Harle’s love was enough to piece his spirit back together, returning Marcus to his natural self. He felt the change, but the fullbringer had to be sure. Marcus looked to Harle with a hopeful smile and utter the firds words he had in months. There was no stutter. There was no deformation of his senteces. He could finally speak clearly, and he only had three words to share.
“I love you.”
