Kazura, please meet me at my home. The door is unlocked, on the left there is a white and silver door, I'll be waiting inside. Vannan placed down his phone on the desk in his father's study. If Kazura came or not Vannan would wait inside of the study which was vastly different from the rest of his rather large home. The study was brown and covered wall to wall with bookcases filled with books some of which were almost as old as Caesar himself. The entire room had a faint smell of tobacco and a dark green rug , by the window there was a large wooden desk with two chairs. The only other thing in the room is a set of older chairs facing the windows.
The rest of his home was vastly different to the study though. On the outside of his home was a large iron gate that creaked when opened, the pathway leading to his home was overgrown and unkept. Following the path Kazura could easily see Vannan's home was much larger than most places in Karakura, rather saying it was a small mansion would be more accurate. The inside of his home had a white and silver theme going on as usual for quincies . As soon as Kazura walked in he could see that there was a large staircase leading up and to the right the entrance to a kitchen and to the left a large pure silver door, the very one that would lead to the study.

Kazura walked up to the gate of the mansion estate with a bag of tools slung over his shoulder. The CEO was definitely impressed by the house, as it was one of the largest in the relatively small town of Karakura. Of course, the Uzaki Estate was a bit bigger, but Kazura hadn't grown up here so his mansion wasn't in the town limits, rather it was a few dozen miles away. This was definitely a high end place for this town, but it looked incredibly unkempt. The path was overgrown with weeds and the iron gate creaked with rust.
Before walking up to the door, Kazura took a moment to use his Soul Command to refresh the gate and his Soul Dominance to push the weeds underground and make the path look clean again. If Vannan complained, the fullbringer could always put it back the way it was. Kazura knocked on the door, and no one was there to greet him, so he just let himself in and found the room that Vannan's text had mentioned. The study was definitely something that intrigued the man, as there were books with titles he couldn't read, and books that looked older than his butler. "Nice place you've got here, Vannan. Would be nice if it was better cared for though. Do you need a butler?"
Vannan smiled as he saw Kazura come into the study. Shaking his head he motioned for Kazura to come forward. “Come in come in and close the door behind you, I'd rather not have my little sister overhear anything. As far as the butler goes it's tempting but I have to decline, the outside maybe a bit of a mess, but I like to try to keep the house up by myself, when I have the time. Either way we didn't come to talk about my house now did we? So lets get right to it what do you know of quincies and their powers?”
Vannan was in no rush to get the information out given the nature of their deal Vannan knew that Kazura was a businessman and that time meant money. Vannan would listen to what Kazura knew of quincies and depending on what the man knew Vannan would be able to give out more information. “Oh wait before you tell me anything what languages can you read?” Vannan knew fully that he had to tell Kazura everything he knew about the quincies, however Vannan himself hadn't read every book in his father's study and given how old some of them were he knew that there were a few things he didn't know about. Those books were written in a strange language that he couldn't understand, but maybe kazura might be able to.

Vannan wasn't one to beat around the bush. He asked a few questions that could require long and drawn out answers, but Kazura could be brief when he needed to. "Japanese and English, mainly, but I know how to flirt in a dozen languages. I don't read them, well, though. Barely at all. I do know how to read bathroom in most languages, though." Kazura was well traveled, but that really only required him to know English to be able to communicate with people on a business level. The rest of communication could happen through translators, who didn't cost very much compared to Kazura's fortune. So he never had gotten around to knowing a variety of languages. "That being said, I am good at learning new things, and have a mind that can work through puzzles faster than computers, often."
"And as for what I know about Quincies... I know that your kind is favorable to bows and arrows, find Hollows poisonous, and those of you loyal to the Vandenreich have a few powers that other Quincies don't, such as that transformation that improves your fighting ability. Among other details, of course, but those are the big ones."
“Vandenreich loyalty is something that can be questioned really, but it seems like you know the basics of what a quincy is.” Vannan took out his quincy cross and placed it on the desk infront of Kazura. “As far as I know, we quincy are a tribe of humans who gained the power to hunt down hollows to protect the world of the living. However unlike shingami when we kill a hollow we destroy their soul, no rebirth, no next life nothing. Our powers destroy the souls of the dead and even living if we are forced to turn our bows to them. What I have here is a quincy cross, each one of us eventually learns how to manifest our cross. With it we can draw in reiatsu, which is why when fighting a quincy it seems like we never run out of reiatsu.” Vannan pulled his hand away from the cross to let Kazura inspect it for a bit if he wanted to.
“Now it's true that most of us use bow's and arrows however we have techniques that involve ginto tubes as well. A ginto is a small silver tube that holds reiatsu in it. I don't have one as I have opted to learning ginto techniques, none of them have ever suited my needs. Like fullbringers each quincy has a unique power set. You've already seen part of mine with the plasma bolts, however if I asked you what do you think the theme of my power is?” Vannan smiled as he leaned back in the chair.

Hmm... Crosses that draw in ambient reiatsu... Fascinating. That would explain a lot about Quincies, really. Though it's not like Kazura could replicate that easily. Even Lacrima technology would have trouble doing that, as powerful as it can be... Especially with such a high rate of failure... Anyways, moving on to what Vannan asked him... "Hmm, with a setup like that, your powers could be anything. I haven't forgotten the way you tried to swindle me out of an unfair deal with the healing factor of your transformation. But I'll take your bait since I don't have any other clues. If Plasma Bolts were your power, I'd imagine that radiation and energy was the theme of your power."
“Heh, you would have been right a few days ago, sadly I’ve come to learn that what I was using before wasn't my actual powers, but a technique my father taught me when I was little. My actual power is rather strange and to be all honest I'd rather not show my full power you given that I don't have a way to keep you from getting caught in the cross fire.” Vannan raised his right hand and formed a rather small bow in his hand and from it two orbs of reiatsu formed floating around his hand. “Right now those orbs are my arrows, if I had to use one word to sum up my real powers it would be epidemic.” Vannan grabbed one of the orbs and placed it down on the table before rolling it over to Kazura. “Go ahead it won't explode. That's only the first release of my power.”
“As for that transformation, it's called Vollstandig, we turn all of our reiatsu into pure power to strengthen our selfs, each time we do it we can choose what we make stronger meaning that each time we use it, it's different however the form stays the same.” Vannan stood up and looked back at the books, slowly he looked over each one before grabbing one that was in English. The spine of the book had the words bow and arrow. Placing the book down on the table he looked at Kazura's eyes. “What you learn from this book and any others I give you can never to told to others. My father was a collector of our history, I have books older than the U.S. in my collection. This one right here is a basic training manual on how to use our bows. It goes in great detail on how we summon them and the differences between the two types.”

Kazura took the orb that Vannan had created, what Vannan called his "arrow" and ran it in his hands. It was fascinating to touch, and quite a foreign feeling. The orb was 100% reiatsu, and made the fullbringer curious. Maybe... a little -too- curious. "Completely inert? Well ok then..." Placing his hand on the orb, Kazura created reiatsu with Energy Generate and then willed it to probe into the "arrow" with his Trace Technique. The inventor didn't gain a whole lot of information from the orb, but he did discover that it was meant to explode violently into many many small fragments.
The information on Vollstandig was also intriguing. It would be a force that was difficult if not impossible to prepare for except to simply out power it, which seemed unlikely. That must have been how Vannan had increased his healing factor to near godly levels, which felt like cheating in the bet to Kazura but at least now it confirmed that the Fullbringer had dealt damage, it just hadn't stayed as the Quincy had healed it all away. Frustrating, but fair to the exact terms of the bet.
The book, however, was the most interesting to Kazura. He flipped through the pages, absorbing everything he saw instantly with his exceptional instincts. He went through the whole book in under five minutes, and impressive feat with the size of it all. "Hmm... While this book is interesting to non-Quincy, obviously, because it explains all of the strengths your kind has, would you have guessed that this book is fascinating to Quincy as well that already know how their powers work?"
With his skill at Analysis and pattern recognition, as well as his highly honed instincts, Kazura had noticed something that could easily have been overlooked. "I noticed that every third page, the writing style changes drastically. On the first and second pages of each set of 3 the writer's word choice does not seem to be very careful. The writer uses words such as "things" and "stuff", but on each third page, every single word is crucial and chosen with the utmost care. Every third page is also mostly superfluous, and doesn't really have any information that would really matter if taken out of the book."
Maybe Vannan would see where Kazura was going with this, maybe not just yet. But the next clue would probably be the biggest one that would make the Quincy understand what was going on, and if he didn't that would be fine because the Fullbringer was going to explain what he meant in just a second. "But here's the big pattern. The first letter of every word looks like it was written at a different time as the rest of the words. Written first, I mean. Some of the words are sandwiched together because there wasn't a lot of space and they needed a particular word. Do you get what I'm hinting at yet?"
Kazura paused for just a moment, not pausing for a response, just pausing for dramatic effect. "There's a hidden message every third page." Just what did Kazura mean by that? Sure, there was some evidence, but it would be difficult to really catch that from just speed reading, right? Wrong, that's just how fast Kazura's mind worked. "My dear Grandchild, may your Arrow fly true and your bow never break." Now Kazura was just reading every first letter of each sentence just by looking at the page. Would Vannan be impressed? Maybe.
"My deepest wish is for you to understand why I've hidden these messages." Pause for page change... "What I've hidden are the secrets of your ancestors, secrets I hope are lost to time." Kazura promptly stopped there. He decided that he didn't need to know any more about these secrets. "And the rest you can read on your own. My guess is that they've hidden the secrets of something created in Wartime, because isn't that always how these things go? What is created by the necessity of War and was never intended for a time of Peace is lost until another War uncovers them and needs them again. Non-Quincy need not know of those secret messages from your Ancestors." With that said, Kazura relinquished the book and handed it back to Vannan. Maybe it would prove useful.
Vannan tilted his head a bit as he heard Kazura say that the book held something of value for those who already knew about their power and their skills. “What do you mean Kazura?” He was rather confused about what he could mean. He had read the book almost a thousand times over and while sometimes the words were a bit strange there was never anything in there that could help someone after their powers were developed. Given the nature of how vast and different each quincy's powers could be there was no way to give broad advice to all and given the nature of the book was to help all quinces there was no way that a book could help all quinces.
However as Kazura spoke his eyes widened and his mouth opened slightly. The book had a code, a message that was meant for someone during the time of war. Vannan smiled as he took the book back from Kazura, knowing that the author of this very book also wrote others. That meant that there was a chance that each book held more secrets to be used later on for the Vandenreich. Vannan was really impressed with Kazura's ability to figure this out, he knew that he had picked the right man to let into his father's study. Opening the book himself he started to look at the third page putting the words together after the clues Kazura gave him. The first page was simply a message, but he had a good feeling that the next few pages would lead to lost techniques.
“I see, thank you Kazura. This has truly been an informative day, now what else would you like to learn before we get to the details of the item you promised me.” He kept the smile as he stepped away for a moment grabbing another book by the same author. Vannan wanted to test the same thing on another book. As he listened to Kazura he flipped to the third page and read it in his mind. Putting together the words. Again it started with the same message as the other book, but with a different ending, meaning that it was another message and more importantly more techniques.

Vannan was very appreciative of Kazura's pattern detection, which made the fullbringer feel accomplished. The Quincy opened another book, searching for the same sort of hidden message and appeared to have found what he wanted as there was no form of frustration or disappointment in his face but rather relief and even possibly joy. Though honestly, Kazura was surprised that the author had used the same cipher in both books. Vannan once again asked Kazura what he wanted to know, but also hinting at the inventor's side of the deal. "I wish to know of your high speed movement technique. I know of the Shinigami Shunpo and my own kind's Bringer Light, but nothing of the Quincy stepping technique, though I've seen it before."
“So you want to know about our stepping technique huh? Well to start off it's called Hirenkyaku, and it's much faster than your bringer light or the shingami's shumpo. Unlike the other stepping techniques it isn't a real step we take. Instead by gathering the ambient reishi around us we gather it around our feet, using that reishi as a board we glide on it to where we want, in a sense there is no limit to how far we can go with one use of it. Is their anything else you want to know?” Vannan sat back down in the large chair and waited for Kazura to respond.

Kazura laughed at Vannan's prideful view of his stepping technique. "Much faster, eh? My bringer light can accelerate to as fast as I want it to. You may have infinite range, theoretically, but that does not mean that my Bringer Light is slower. In just two steps I already greatly exceed the Shinigami flash step. Three or four, and I'm leagues away. But that's besides the point. No, I'm out of questions for the moment. Do you have any specific request or should I just craft something off the top of my head for you?"
Vannan sat there and thought for a moment as to what he would want the inventor to build for him. For now he was a bit puzzled as to what he could really use to help him further in combat, however he knew that getting a custom item from Kazura would help a lot no matter the situation. “Contacts, my sunglasses are a prime target for those who know my plasma bolts, so I was wondering if there was a way for you to make contact lense that could block out the light from my plasma bolts. It wouldn't hurt if said lenses could also allow me to see further as well.”
Post by Kazura Uzaki on Dec 9, 2015 1:10:25 GMT -5
Once again, the Fullbringer smiled. "What a simple request! For contact lenses such as those, I'll need more specialized equipment than I brought, but I can definitely do that for you. Not yet sure how I'll manage to avoid the biggest issue with sunglasses, that is, they distort the colors of everything and make you want to take them off to see the real colors, but I'll figure it out. A mentally commanded toggle of the effect, or just that kind of glass that you see on tv that's clear inside but dark outside. As for zoom... I can have fun with that. Might take some getting used to, though, as your entire vision will spin as the contacts zoom in and out. But I'm sure that you'll handle it."
“I knew I asked the right person for the job. Feel free to either work here or drop on back when you have them completed. ” Vannan sat back as he listened to Kazura speak. Sure for someone like Kazura making contact lenses like the ones he asked for would be easy. However he himself preferred to dabble in making weapons, so the way to make something so small yet have those uses to him was lost.
