Sitting there in a state of utmost tranquility was the young heir of the Shihoin family. She had left earlier in the morning prior to the rise of the sun leaving a note in her office at the squad seven barracks for the third seat. She had confidence that the seated officers although they hadn't been broken in as of yet to her much more strict methods of justice and security would be able to handle themselves for a few hours if not days without her. She had a very difficult type of technique to learn that she had read about in a book. Something that it seemed very little Shinigami actually attempted to learn and utilize in combat. Kimiko had decided it would be best to gain the knowledge of Soulbind.
Kimiko at the moment was sitting at the very top of a tree in the wilderness miles away from even one of the Rukongai districts just in case something bad happened and she wouldn't need to worry about anyone getting harmed. She had jumped to the top of the tree about thirty minutes ago and chopped the top off of it with her right hand. Now she was sitting there on the cut off top her legs crossed and her hands resting on her thighs just below her knees. The fingers were intertwined and pressed together tightly as Kimiko concentrated heavily and began to focus herself into the world of her zanpakuto.
It had taken her roughly ten or so minutes to actually succeed in projecting her awareness inside of her zanpakuto. Even now after obtaining much of her potential as a physical combatant Kimiko's expertize in the area of the spiritual things was hardly enough to fill a page in a book. If she didn't have the power to manifest her spirits in the physical world Kimiko wisely believed that she would still be nothing more then an unseated officer in squad two. She knew that most of her acceleration through the ranks was due to her prodigy like skills in Hakudo and Hoho, but couldn't hope to claim that she had been able to obtain everything without the help of her zanpakuto and her cousin.
This potential that she had reached though she knew wasn't her utmost limits and that was something that she couldn't live to allow. She knew that if she wanted to become the Head of the Shihoin family she would have to prove that there was no one better fit to do so not even Okami. As it was Kimiko was one of the most physically fearsome Captains in Soul Society yet due to her age and lack of experience fighting monster level foes in the field many of the other Captains didn't give her any credit at all. Kimiko was going to prove them all wrong every last one of them that she was more fearsome then any foe could hope to be in the eyes of another.
Looking around in the forest of darkness Kimiko smiled. There was never anything else like it and Kimiko loved it in this world. A pitch black forest of nearly limitless distance with a full moon in the night sky and her spirits already rushing towards her. It only took a few seconds until she had them all around her brushing against her legs smiling as they did so. All of the fur was soft and they felt so warm Kimiko just would never be able to say she didn't love her zanpakuto like so many other Shinigami. It was one of the few things that she had in common with the majority of the others.
"Listen Haunzu I have to speak with you all. I need all of you to agree to . . . . become one with me again." There was suddenly a quiet stillness that crept over the entirety of the forest which had only a moment ago been filled with soft hums of warm and happiness. Kimiko looked around and could see that each and every eye of all of her zanpakuto spirits were starring intently at her. There were so many of them Kimiko knew them she was there Queen she loved each and everyone of them because they were a part of her and they were closer to her then even her own family. Kimiko wasn't sure how she was going to be able to talk Haunzu into this now that she could see it written on each face. None of them liked the idea of fusing with their Queen.
Kimiko finally stood up from the tree that she had been now sitting there for the last seventy six hours straight. Her body was hungry and her mind exhausted. She was tired and knew that the best thing she could actually do would be to return to her barracks or the Shihoin estate. Once there she would be able to eat, bath and rest. All of these things were at the front of her mind and her naïve wisdom told her that she needed them more then what was actually pushing at the front of her attention. Kimiko had just spent all of those long hours speaking to each of the thousand zanpakuto spirits individually about Soulbind and although she could tell that all of them still would rather not do it they had agreed.
Now it was time to actually put it to the test and see if she could connect with her spirits. Kimiko searched her mind once more and her memories. Haunzu had taught her the basic stance on how to activate this technique once she had gained him over so now it was all up to her to pull it off. Putting her arms out in front of her Kimiko bent her right hand backwards the palm facing outwards parallel with her left hand which was mirrored in the opposite way. She then bent her fingers as if they were claws and began to pull while focusing her reiatsu. It was like attempting to tear through more then a ton of metal with her bare hands, but as she screamed in afford Kimiko's hands spread out to the sides and with that the smile of decrepit madness crossed her face.

Three Days Later
