-Appearance-
Height/Weight: 5'10"/150
Physical Description:
Kagami doesn't have an extravagant appearance like some other Shinigami might prefer to use to draw attention to themselves, but he didn't need busy looks to make too many people aware of him when he's partying or drinking. Nonetheless, it simplest to take a look at the big picture before zooming into the many details of his appearance. For starters, Himitsu is neither tall nor short. He is of average height and doesn't feel like his mediocre tallness matters much. He isn't too bulky in figure, yet he does have muscular figure with lightly curved hills forming around his muscles on his limbs and torso without him flexing at all.
It is only logical to start at the beginning so it is best to analyze Kagami from top to bottom. Let's take a look at his face. The young man's head is topped with hair colored a shade of gray that rests somewhere between silver to a darker color and seemed to alternate its leniency between the two. On sunnier days, his strands of straight hair that are combed around his eyes and fall to his ears reflect the sunlight and appear to be a lighter gray. However, when the lightning is dimmer, Kagami's hair is more of a storm-cloud hue. The man keeps his hair nicely combed either to one side or letting his bangs curve up in slight rising curls. He has ears that are just a little bit on the small side but that little fact is nearly unnoticeable. Kagami has a round, slightly oval-like face that compliments his overall features subtly but nicely. The Shinigami's eyebrows are a litter thinner than most and are usually raised in his carefree and cheerful expression. He has a smaller nose that fits comfortably between his eyes.
Thought undecided gray hair on such a young man caught quite a bit of attention? Not so much compared to Kagami's eyes. Those piercing violet balls were so magnificent and animated. The shone so brightly that it didn't take effort to see one's reflection through them, like they were natural mirrors. But unlike most mirrors, Kagami Murai's eyes caused whatever image they reflected to dance like a burning flame wondrously for the observers to see. Kagami was born with naturally curious eyes that he cherished so dearly. It was definitely his favorite feature and he held a secret pride for his eyes.
Kagami had a slender neck that extended further than the average person's as it connected his head to the base of his body. His shoulders weren't as wide as those of more muscular people, but neither were they small and scrawny. The young man had a powerful build but avoided having a bulky figure. The muscles that were chiseled into his shoulders were covered up by his clothing, though the defined muscled slopes were still noticeable through his clothing. His chest was rather flat in contrast to all the more muscular parts of his torso, but the lack of visible strength he held there was made up for by the four-pack that sat on his abdomen like a throne. At least he liked to show it off like a King. Kagami used to throw his shirt off during parties, but since his return to Soul Society, he has concealed his chest to hide the huge circular scar over his chest. The scar is scorched and darker than the remainder of his skin, and the circular shape is defined.
Kagami had powerful arms on each side of his chest. Each had a series of small inclines where the relaxed muscles rested on his upper limbs. They usually lay limply at his sides in the most comfortable position possible as he is enjoying himself, whether that be through partying or drinking (usually both). His hands were usually kept busy as well with a cool, refreshing drink to help him unwind after another long, busy day of being a Shinigami. His hands were a little on the big side compared to most men his age, but they weren't overly large or overly noticeable. The only unusual attribute of his hands was the fact his knuckles were a little red and scarred from the several brawls he'd been in and the several punches he had thrown.
Kagami’s waist was not much less wide as his shoulders and began the decline in width to the start of his legs. However, the decline was quite subtle, for his thighs were nice and large, the base of his leg surrounded by athletic muscle that not only sat on his thigh but his leg as a whole. He had runners' calves and enjoyed using them. By staying active, he had kept his leg muscles nice and exercised, which, intern, made sure they stayed defined. His feet were strangely a little smaller, and, in the modern world, he would wear a US size eight and a half. His feet, though, had a couple of unusual bumps and blisters from all of the activity he used them for including many many runs.
Kagami is very fond of the phrase "work hard, play hard," and his apparel matches whichever stage of his motto. When it comes to the "work" part, he dresses appropriately in the traditional Captain’s haori.. Next comes the "play hard" part, of which there could never be too much of in Kagami's eyes. When he was utterly wasted, it wasn't uncommon to find him with few to no clothes on. However, let's assume that he's kept his clothes on in this case. He usually wears a solid-colored t-shirt underneath a suave blazer that varies in color depending on the shirt beneath it. Finally, he enjoys wearing pants that match his blazer in color, dark dress shoes, and the ever-so-popular Ray-Bans glasses, whether they be aviators, wayfarers, or others. He is definitely one that cares about his personality, and he makes sure he always looks sharp.
However, he is one to change his clothes up as well. One might find him also in a classy sweater with a the collar of a dress shirt sticking out of the top. Of course, he'd make sure his pants are a plain color, either black or matching with the shirt or sweater. He also has a variety of collared Polos that he never misses an opportunity to pull out and throw on every once in a while. His sunglasses can always be paired with his Polos. And, when going casual, he makes good use of sleeveless shirts that compliment his muscles and show them off on a silver platter. And those certainly were just as effective as the rest when it came to attracting the eyes of young women.
It would be beyond difficult to describe the looks of one as Kagami with one word, however, if it must be done, the options all come from a similar range. Ravishing? Dashing? Charming? Or even the common handsome? All of which definitely apply. The Shinigami's young face is amongst the most attractive of all the other men in Seireitei, and he was a top choice amongst the beautiful girls there working with him. With the combination of his fit, muscular figure as well as his fashionable clothes, he was a twelve out of ten. Eleven if he was being modest.

-Personality-
Dislikes:
Kagami Murai
- Quiet People- Honestly, if you're there, speak up. If someone keeps their mouth shut all the time, then he might as well not exist. He's not the biggest fan of those who go to a party just to watch. They wouldn't be contributing at all, and in a party, the more the merrier.
- Talkative People- One of the things he can't stand at all is the type of person that never shuts up. They should let Kagami do more of the talking, because he definitely feels like he has things to share that are worth way more to listen to than whoever else is trying to get on his level.
- Sober People- Well, way to kill all the fun. No river likes it when there's a stubborn boulder in the middle breaking up it's path, and those who don't participate in the party they attend are that obnoxious boulder. Therefore, either go with the flow or get out. Especially to the ladies out there. Getting a sober girl when you're drunk is way too much of a challenge. It would be much nicer for Kagami to be on equal ground with the lucky girl he had picked that night.
- Desk Work- Being a Shinigami is great, and Kagami wouldn't trade it for anything else. But even as a Third Seat, he occasionally has paperwork to do, and that's beyond boring. Those hours are much better spent having fun or winning fights against whatever enemy is foolish enough to challenge him. And although it's his job to gather intel, if he can't at least have a fight or two in the meantime, what's the point?
- Hypocrites- Kagami has issues, and many of them. But so does everyone else. And anyone who points fingers at the flaws of others before taking a look at themselves are worth trash. Even Kagami thinks that's pretty conceited, and coming from him, that means a lot. People like that should stare at a mirror for a while before opening their mouths. (You'd get the pun when you take a look at the Power section).
- Rain- Ever heard of a party on a rainy day? Exactly, it's practically non-existent. Rain ruins a good day full of partying potential. It should only come by when he's stuck with stacks of paper work.
- Party Poopers- Some of the most obnoxious people Kagami can think of. Many fall into the same category as hypocrites as well, but the people that feel like they have to ruin a party just because they're not enjoying it as much are pretty sickening and Kagami has no love for them at all.
- Serious Situations- Kagami is a very carefree, light-hearted person. The instant that a scenario escalates to the point where there are some very serious things on the line, Kagami is not quite as cheerful, and that's never fun. Kagami would do anything to avoid a circumstance in which there could actually be legitimate losses. He likes his nice party bubble and hates when it bursts.
- Hangovers- A bit of advice: don't get near Kagami when he's in the middle of a giant hangover. He's still usually barfing all over the place and trying to keep his head in the toilet as he is puking all the alcohol up. In addition, the pounding headache puts him in a very bad mood, though he never learns his lesson. As soon as his spirits lift, he's back to drinking and the cycle repeats.
- Sleep- Kagami can go days without sleep, and why wouldn't he? When there's a much better use of time, he'd definitely jump at it rather than hit the sack for a while. Sleep doesn't do anything. It doesn't create memories, nor does it let him have a good time. Until he feels like he's going to collapse, Kagami stays awake.
- Quincy- They ruined my suit, and I'm pretty pissed at them in general. They're just some annoying punks with stuck-up noses, especially the Vandenreich. I can't wait to meet one of those punks again.
Douma
- The Primera Espada, Adalo De Mona - After Adalo easily defeated Kagami, he developed a distinguished hate for the self-proclaimed King of Arrancar. It became Kagami's goal to bring the man down by surpassing him in every area.
- The Moral - There is no room for ethics in the real world, and Kagami learned that lesson quickly. The only way to survive was to grow stronger as quickly as possible before getting consumed by a more powerful being. If people deem taking short cuts as unjust or illegal, then they deserve to die for their weakness.
- The Weak - Douma's goal is all about expansion, and he has no room for weakness among his allies. If Douma affiliates himself with anyone, he's going to make sure that they can hold their own against big sharks. And if someone begs for mercy, then they are too weak to live the remainder of their pitiful life.
Likes:
Kagami Murai
- Fighting- There was always fun to be found in a good fight. It offered a great challenge, both physical and mental. And it put the application of Kagami's observation skills and high intelligence to the test. In addition, it also shows the results of Kagami's training and his progression as a Shinigami. It was good for keep tabs on his skills, as long as there was no true risk in the fight.
- Alcohol- Kagami can almost always be found with a nice, chilled drink in his hand, whether it be beer, a shot, or even wine for more sophisticated circumstances. Kagami is a hard-core alcoholic and can definitely handle his liquor.
- Women- Kagami has practically no sense control around attractive women. He is constantly flirting in his usual charming way and is bouncing between the hottest girls at a party while, in the mean time, getting wasted to the point where he can't remember anything the next morning after finding himself in a bed next to a gorgeous young woman.
- Partying- Parties tie up all the things Kagami loves most. They include alcohol and breathtaking girls that he could mess around with. And don't even get him started on the great music he gets to play. There was no time Kagami would rather be doing anything else than partying his heart out.
- Himself- Egostistical? Yes. For a good reason? Definitely. What was there not to like about Kagami? He is kind, fun, a great singer and dancer, can hold his liquor really well, and is insanely charming. Was it so wrong for him to be quite fond of himself as well? Himitsu is dashing and smart. He had justification for getting an inflated head.
- Strategy Games- Chess especially. Kagami was a lazy genius, but chess was a simple way for him to dominate an opponent intellectually without having to do much more than lift a couple of pieces. He also enjoyed checkers, though it is much more simple and considerably less entertaining. Any war simulator game caught his attention.
- Food- There must always be great food. Finger foods, desserts, entrees. Kagami was not obsessed with food, by all means no. But he never missed an opportunity to munch on something delicious alongside his alcohol.
- Music, Singing, and Dancing- These three attributes are the base of a good party (minus the liquor and hot girls, of course). As long as the music is good (which almost all of it is), Kagami doesn't mind singing along with his great voice that sounds a lot like that of Sinatra's. And, as a dancer, he was amazing. He could dance the waltz, swing, salsa, and practically anything else. Not to mention that with all the time he's spent in the human world, he's picked up on more modern dancing as well.
- Humans and the Human World- No other place (except maybe the Squad 9 barracks) could possibly throw as many kickass parties as can be found in the human world. It is the destination for partying for every dimension. Kagami wouldn't be surprised if he saw a couple of Arrancar there at a night club.
- Sunny Weather - Cali is the place to go for having a great time, especially because of the warm sunny LA weather. The cold and bad weather just ruins what could've been a great day, but mildly hot climates that stay consistent are the best and definitely bring Kagami back for multiple visits.
Douma
- A Good Fight - Douma has a lot of pent up rage, and fighting against powerful opponents allows him to turn that rage into an outlet. Sometimes, if he finds himself against someone that puts up a half-decent fight, he may even elongate the battle to truly make his foe suffer and understand his strength.
- Illegal Items - There's a lot that is produced in the black market that Soul Society could never comprehend. Douma is constantly discovering new illicit goods that he could benefit off of by smuggling, shipping, and even producing himself by taking over a manufacturing faction.
- People with Spine - Douma appreciates it when people stand up for themselves and don't take shit. It earns his respect, even when they are his enemy. However, it won't draw any mercy from the criminal.
Flaws:
Kagami Murai
- Procrastinating- Work as a Shinigami could be stressful at times, and the paperwork that came with it is unbearable. He almost never gets down to his work immediately and does it at the last minute, usual after some crazy party while he is still getting over his hangover.
- Self-Centered- Kagami is a very very selfish person. If something doesn't interest him, involve him, or benefit him, don't be surprised if he suddenly leaves. His egotistical self will definitely get him into trouble at some point, and that will definitely be soon.
- Alcohol- Because of his small drinking problem, Kagami is not a morning person. As long as the sun is up, he's usually hungover. It ruins his productivity in the morning. Only before he is sent on missions in the field does he sober up before hand.
- Quick-tempered- Kagami is quick to anger, which is never a good trait to have. A few insults meant to deflate his head would get his face red, especially if one intended to offend him. Overall, people should try to avoid offending him as much as possible and watch their tongues. Kagami is not a good enemy to make.
- Women- Kagami can get so easily distracted if he catches sight of a beautiful young girl across the room, especially if his mind is clouded by the buzz of alcohol. He effortlessly loses track of whatever he might have been doing or thinking before hand and practically chases after her flirtatiously.
- Money Management- Kagami cannot manage his money for his life. He spends a lot of it constantly on either parties, drinks, or even on girls to win their favor. He isn't surprised to find himself broke one morning after an insane party that he can't even remember.
- Lazy- It takes a lot to get Kagami doing some real work as a Shinigami. Being Third Seat has a lot of responsibility, to his disappointment. The transition from his party mood to his work mood is a long one that he mostly doesn't even bother with.
Douma
- Cold - Douma is powerful, but he's dark. It's difficult for anyone to work with him due to his cold nature. Even those who hire him on a regular basis have come to fear the man.
- Only Loyal to Himself - Douma acts solely out of self-interest, so any alliances or deals he make do not necessarily bind him. His fickle nature has made people wary of him, further distancing himself from connections that could strengthen him.
Habits:
Kagami Murai
- Singing- As established above, Kagami loves music. And the best way for him to either interact with music or create some of his own is too sing. He never had the time or opportunity to learn any kind of musical instrument, but, luckily for him, he was gifted with a beautiful voice that he loves to show off.
- Dancing- Singing isn't always an option, especially when Kagami doesn't know the words to the song that's playing. However, he never fails to bust a move on the dance floor. Whether he dances alone or with a partner (usually some beautiful girl he had just met), he always had a blast dancing and looked good while doing it too.
- Drinking- I mean, come on, it's been mentioned several times that Kagami does enjoy the occasional drink. Okay a little more than occasional. Maybe two or three at a time? Five at a good party? Or as much alcohol until he forgot how many drinks he's had.
- Flirting- Girls are the weakness of Kagami, and he will pursue them like a dog after a car. A very fast dog, because the debonair young man almost always got the girl. And as the sun rose the next morning, he'd let her go and move on. It was like a game, and he practically wrote the rules.
- Partying- Must this be elaborated on more? Kagami is always partying as much as possible. The night life is what he lives for, and his favorite party destinations are popular clubs in the human world. He's had his share of memories from a few wild nights in LA, New York, Vegas, and more.
- Showing Off- Kagami likes to inflate his head by showing those around him what he's best at, whether that be dancing, singing, drinking, or even fighting. And, in some cases, he might show off with whatever girl he went home with that night.
- Drumming- Eventually, Kagami will be forced behind a desk to catch up with whatever work has been piling up on his plate. And when he was working on stacks of paper and reading whatever reports were sent to him, he could be found drumming on the desk or his lap subconsciously out of utter boredom for the most part.
- Joking Around- Parties are for having fun, and Kagami is always one to mess around with friends, or even strangers, depending on the mood and atmosphere of the party, as well as how drunk he is. He can always take a joke, as well. But when someone has the intention to offend him, that's when his temper kicks in.
- Playing the Hero- Kagami likes to be looked up to, and by playing the hero, he can grow his ego even larger. Whether the case be rescuing a damsel in distress, saving a city, protecting both allies, strangers, or, even, in some rare cases, enemies, he would gladly do so. Although he made it appear that his intention was out of self-benefit, he actually does feel obligation to protect those around him as long as he knows he can.
Douma
- Remaining Silent - Douma is the biblical name for the Angel of Silence, and it is only appropriate for Douma to take on a tacit nature. He depicts words through actions often, making talking pointless. He's not mute, but he speaks minimally.
Fears:
Kagami Murai
- Dying- The Shinigami is naturally scared for his own good. He would go to high measures to preserve his life and soul. He had already died once and would not willingly go through that awful process again, one that forced him to accept his lack of existence.
- Letting his Friends Die- Kagami is self-centered, egotistical, narcissistic, boastful, ect. Those traits weren't ones that attracted true, genuine friends for a long time. However, those that did decide to stick around and get to know Kagami were the ones he really opened up to, and those people became a part of him. To let those that know him best die would be like letting a part of him disappear.
- Uncertainty- This fear greatly connects with his fear of the dark. Kagami is the type of man that wants to know everything. He is a natural genius with very high observation skills, a younger Sherlock Holmes, if you will. Things that he doesn't know for sure frustrate him and make him fear an unexpected, surprising result. Those usually weren't too good.
Douma
Douma has no fears. He's not allowed to.
Goals:
Kagami Murai
- One Unforgettable Party- Kagami is a simple man that doesn't want much from life. However, what he does truly desire and strives for is to enjoy himself and party. His biggest goal is to have one incredible night with an enormous party. He hasn't worked out the details yet, but it will have all the best drinks, the best music (live performances of amazing bands, of course), a great dance floor, heavenly snacks and food, and, most importantly, the most drop-dead beautiful girls he has ever seen. All Kagami asks for is one night of paradise and he will be satisfied for the rest of his life, as long as he can cherish that memory forever (assuming he doesn't drink to much and pass out).
- Have Fun- Okay, no, Kagami wouldn't be satsified for the rest of his life with just one incredible party. Although that is one of his biggest dreams, he also strives to accomplish consistent happiness every day in his life. He exists for the sole reason of having fun and taking full advantage of the pleasantries of life, and his most major goal will be to continue to do so 24/1, seven days a week, and fifty-two weeks per year, every year. It keeps him going and gives him motivation to live.
- Become the Strongest Shinigami- Kagami just wants to be the very best. He is a natural genius and is incredibly smart, mostly due to the fact that he's quick to pick up on almost unnoticeable details. However, his strength, although great, is not quite up to par with the best of the best. And that's the level he wants to reach. When Kagami's talent can't take him far enough, he steps up and works his ass off till he can eventually get there.
Douma
- Surpass Adalo De-Mona - Adalo took away the only woman Kagami has ever truly loved. To make that worse, he warped her and turned her against him. It was Adalo's fault that Manami nearly killed Kagami, and for that reason, Douma was born for the sole purpose of rising in power in the criminal world while Kagami dominate Soul Society. Both aspects would make Kagami more powerful that Adalo could ever be so he could exact his revenge.

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Overall Personality:
Kagami Murai
Kagami has multiple personalities for whatever atmosphere he was in or however high his level of intoxication is. However, none are typically malicious. Overall, Kagaim is more kind-hearted and appears amiable, even while praising himself and enlarging his ego. He doesn't tend to do much on the expense of those around him, even to his own benefit. Kagami values curtsy and respect. And it is for those reasons that he prefers to keep good relations with others. Anger tends to hurt his more mellow carefree mood, and he isn't fond of when his temper spoils his good spirit.
Kagami in the workplace is a completely different man than otherwise. First of all, he is easily distracted, for unless he is training or in the field, the management responsibilities he has as the Third Seat never truly gets his full attention. That doesn't put him in a bad mood, though. He is still warm and friendly. The only thing he does value while he is behind the desk at Seireitei is to receive the respect he deserves as the Third Seat of Squad Nine. Those officers of lower rank than himself should address him as "sir" or some other reverent title. It was a matter of politeness that he be referred to with the esteem he deserves. It had nothing to do with the fact that he liked to keep his ego nice and big. Well, maybe just a little. But, in turn, he does return that respect to his superiors when addressing them. For equals, though, he keeps things plain and omits any titles.
When the Shinigami is in battle, his whole spirit is carefree and relaxed. He has the very appearance that tells his opponents that he's having fun. There's no reason for someone like him not to enjoy a good fight, especially one that challenges him. Those types of battles are rare and why wouldn't he favor them a leisure smile. He also believes battles have social aspects as well and wouldn't mind striking up a conversation between sword strokes. Even when dealing with an enemy, he might inquire about them mid-fight like any casual exchange one might have outside of battle. Sometimes, his opponents found this a little strange but, sometimes, he was pleased to find they went along with it.
The young man is mostly found in his more wild mood while partying. When he's sober -well, mostly sober- at a party, Kagami is more moderate. That's when he can be found dancing and singing in the center of the party. At those times, his mind is most sharp and logical. After all, Kagami is a very logical person and always had some motivation for his actions, mostly something that was self benefitting. He typically tends to flirt with nearby girls more successfully in this mood and is more aware of what's going on around him, including his own responsibilities, mostly whatever his duty as a Shinigami and Seated Officer requires him to get up early for the next morning. This was the easiest stage for Kagami to turn back at and leave a party. Afterwards, he tends to stay the remainder of the night.
After a few of drinks (usually a bit more than a few), Kagami's mood completely changes. His mind is split between impulse and reason. This is when he's pretty much chasing girls around and repeatedly getting rejected. His previous charm goes down the drain and it's all fun and games for him at this stage. However, he has developed very high alcohol tolerance and it takes a lot to get him in this mindset. He can't coordinate himself well enough like this, but Kagami can still manage to sing without slurring his words enough for it to be noticeable. He tries to show off when like this but he doesn't tend to succeed as well. Otherwise, though, he's just as amiable as usual.
Kagami has one final stage of intoxication is when all logic and reason Kagami has is tossed outside the window and is replaced with whatever instinct he can identify in his clouded mind. He is pretty much tripping over his feet and in this state, Kagami is more goofy as ever. He's always cracking jokes at every opportunity he gets, though most of them don't seem to make any sense. It's not overly common to find Kagami like this at a party, but when it does happen, you can be sure he won't remember a thing the next morning when he wakes up. His mood swings a lot more when he is this drunk as well, and that's when his temper is least stable.
In his rage, Kagami has almost as much reason as when he is utterly wasted. In a bitter mood, Kagami lashes out at the cause of his rage verbally, taunting them into taking physical initiative and making the first move. Kagami will never lunge at someone with a physical attack first, else the blame for the fight technically falls on him. Taunting, however, is the perfect method to get into a fight without being the one to start it. He used that strategy well.
Though if one wants to take away the intoxication aspect and look at Kagami overall as a person, he comes off as cocky as ever. Of course he doesn't act arrogant in a douche bag sort of way, since he makes sure to keep his intentions good and friendly. In a conversation, Kagami is a bit of a smart aleck. He plays games and goes around the questions, not always answering them. Or if he does answer, he makes sure to do it in a witty way.
But Kagami doesn't lie. Even when hitting on girls, he would never lie to them. They should know that his intentions aren't to start a long, lasting relationship. It's more of a one night thing, and he won't deny them that truth. Kagami doesn't hook up with random girls for anything long term. And he isn't fond of the people that do lie in order to enjoy themselves that night. Kagami does have some honor.
Kagami is forced into many battle situations as a commander of other members of Gotei 13, especially since he is the Vice Captain of Squad 1. And Kagami will do absolutely anything to not just win the battle, but win the war. There are times when retreats are necessary but Kagami will not fall back when there is a chance for a final victory. Someone has to call the tough shots, and if sacrifices are what are required for permanent success, they might be made. Not everyone makes it out of a war zone, but Kagami would be willing to lose a squadron or two just to ensure that they never have to face the enemy again.
Douma
Douma is completely different from Kagami. Firstly, Douma is silent a large amount of time. He gives off a dark and powerful vibe with his reiatsu and body language and acts on it as well. He is known for being ruthless and only lets his enemies escape for specific purposes such as sending a message or increasing his notoriousness. Much like Kagami, he is extremely selfish. However, he is also a strategic genius and works to manipulate others for his own self benefit.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Powers-
Fighting Style:
The young Shinigami is calm and comfortable in battle. His muscles are loose but prepared to leap at any sudden threat, though his body is at ease and his expression is nonchalant. A fight to Kagami is just another way for him to show off his strength, and manages to convince himself that he will win whatever fight he takes part in. It doesn't mean he'll go easy, by all means no. But it does add to his confidence and relaxed cockiness.
Kagami has had a fortunate history that provided him with several opportunities to study combat in general. He is highly trained in the arts of swordsmanship as well as a few different types of martial arts. However, he has also been exposed to the more rough, unrestricted fistfights of local bars when he's been at the wrong place at the wrong time, or maybe the right one. He learned how to defend himself well, and when it came to drunk fights, the first thing he taught himself was how to dodge wild hooks and uppercuts thrown by angry men who's coordination has been clouded by alcohol. He later learned to apply those dodging techniques into fights against more sober opponents with more control of themselves in battle. But one can't dodge forever, and not only did those bare fights act as lessons in how to block a punch and take a punch, but his sword training showed him how to block a stroke of other weapons. Overall, he knew how to play the game of battle: Defensively.
Kagami's primary combat styles revolve around his swordsmanship. Due to his fortune past, he has been a student under several excellent masters through his training with the blade. With so many styles in existence in the world, it's only suitable for him to at least dip his toes in each different technique. And due to Kagami's exposure to such a variety of skills, he has formulated his own adjustable style that suits him in his strategies for combat, a style that is reserved but quite deadly,
Sword play in Kagami's eyes is not about strength as much as it has to do with speed and precision. The result of one putting his whole weight into a stroke would have the same effect of one lightly jabbing the pointed tip into their opponent. For that reason, the young Shinigami is fond of rapid lunges with the intention of thrusting the tip of the blade through his opponent's armor. It is much faster than a wide slash, and causes severely fatal damage if it punctures any vital organs. In addition, although it doesn't cover quite as much area as a slash, it cuts deeper into the skin and causes more bleeding.
Kagami prioritizes using slashes against his opponents when he is engaged in a battle that revolves around close-combat. As skilled as he is, Kagami understands the possibility that his opponent might select close combat because he or she is even more skilled than he. Slashes are quite easy to block, even if they are quick. It's understandable, considering that they have more distance to travel than a stab, but Kagami finds that they are useful for diversions. Since his Zanpakuto can be wielded with either one hand, he can distract an opponent with a stroke of his blade while using Kido with his free left hand.
Kagami specializes with a light, short sword or even a katana. And, for each of those weapons, his swordsman skills must be adjusted to suit their smaller sizes and the traits that come with them. First of all, their feather weight gives the blades much faster speed and more maneuverability. Each stroke of the sword hisses in the air, slicing through the wind as it travels at his enemy. Although the swords don't pack quite the same punch as heavier weapons, they really don't need to. The beauty of the sword is that despite the strength behind the slash or stab, it will cut the skin in the same way. Strength is irrelevant. Speed is all that matters, and when speed and a sword meet, the ultimate weapon is created.
However, although the traits of a short sword provide many advantages, they have several disadvantages as well. The first one being their lack of strength relative to other heavier weapons. Therefore, a smaller blade must always rely on its superior speed. If a sword stroke is blocked, Kagami will, if he can see a clear opening, launch another controlled, yet rapid attack. That way, the heavier weapon would have less of a chance of responding quickly enough to block it effectively. That way, Kagami might be able to land a nice blow on his opponent.
Kagami's battle styles tend to revolve mostly around defense. Therefore, when he is confronting an opponent in close combat, he must definitely know how to properly protect himself from opposing attacks. It is said that a good defense is the best attack. Likewise, people also believe that a good attack is the best defense. In Kagami's eyes, he knows that the real key to unlocking true power realizes in not just good but the best attack and the best defense.
Many defensive options are open to Kagami when he is armed with his Zanpakuto. Although the short sword doesn't seem like the most defensive weapon, especially with its unusual curved appearance, it has many useful guarding techniques. For starters, it can easily parry the attacks of another weapon. When it comes to lighter blades, the short sword can take the strokes directly and push back on the blade with superior force. However, most of the time, this is not the case. As long as the weapon he is fighting against is larger than a katana, Kagami cannot afford to block attacks directly. Now the curves on his blade come in. They make it far easier to redirect swords strokes to either side of Kagami, letting the blade slip along the arched edge until it is out of the way. And all this change in motion is done with the blade's momentum and little energy from Kagami.
There are countless enemies of all races (especially Quincy) that make ranged combat their primary form of battle, and for this reason, Kagami must be ready to face those opponents. The young man always thinks things through, and he has various defenses against long-ranged fighting. Kagami has thought out counters to the deadly arrows of the Quincy, the relentless Cero of the Hollows and Arrancar, and even against potential Shinigami enemies and the Kido they have mastered for the sole purpose of defeating their foes. Kagami believes that he has definitely achieved the best defense against any ranged reiatsu attacks he can imagine.
The easiest thing to do to protect ones self against distant attacks would simply be to dodge. And that applies just as well for close-ranged attacks as well. Shunpo is traditionally used to dodge, though he has found that it isn't always necessary. Sometimes, just a traditional, simple dive to the side would be more than enough to protect one's self against an unfriendly attack. At times, even Kagami admits that it is far easier to execute a simple technique perfectly rather than follow a complicated plan poorly. And there is nothing simpler than a dodge.
Although Kagami is limited in Kido and cannot seem to learn quite as many spells as his peers, he has ensured that each technique he did choose to learn was mastered to the fullest extent. However, that isn't all he worked to achieve. Each Kido he had worked, not only was perfected with relentless training over long periods of time, but has been planned very carefully. The Shinigami didn't select any techniques that aren't flexible enough to be modified and used in nontraditional, clever ways in battle. For the most part, he avoids those predictable, straightforward attributes many Kido seem to have that makes them so detectable and easy to dodge or nullify. He picks the unusual techniques to hone so that they can flex and bend along with his fighting style.
Let us begin by analyzing Kagami's use of Bakudo. The one already explained was Bakudo #68: Ganoretto. This technique allows Kagami to defend himself against physical attacks and even Kido and Cero. It hardens his arm by creating a thick, insanely condense reiatsu barrier around both limbs that lasts for a good while in battle. With its single activation yet long-term effect, Kagami finds the defensive spell quite useful. In addition, he uses other Bakudo for the purpose of restraining and immobilizing his target, as many Bakudo have this purpose.
Hado also has several uses for the Shinigami. However, the main flaw he can't help overlook with Hado is that they are far too easy to detect. In this case, the simplicity of those spells counts as a flaw, and, therefore, Kagami doesn't always resort to that direct attack that most Hado offer. Of course he does at times, but he cleverly attacks the opponent from different angles with the help of his released Zanpakuto, but that will be described more in the Shikai Overall Ability section. In addition, he utilizes Hado not just for direct damage but also for purposes such as numbing.
Kagami doesn't just use the more popular or noticeable Hado and Bakuda. In fact, he is quite fond of Hoho. However, Shunpo is the most common Hoho technique used, and it is easy to predict its use in combat against a Shinigami. With that in mind, Kagami has made good use of Shunpo Karin, which only accelerates one of his limbs. He could use it for offensive means as well as a way of dodging, for he could enhance the movement of a leg that he uses to launch himself into the air, moving him further and faster. It can be far more useful than the traditional Shunpo and can easily be modified for different needs and purposes.
Kagami's fighting style is like clay. It is flexible easy to mold for different occasions. When it is heated, it is just as flashy and reflective as clay, as well as equally strong. The only difference is that Kagami's fighting style does not shatter. He has so many different applications and can be modified for so many different situations that there is always some sort of way that Kagami can fight, despite whatever his opponent may throw at him. Such an elastic fighting technique is one of the things that makes Kagami a formidable opponent to all.
To sum up Kagami's fighting style, it is for the most part defensive. He almost never makes the first move and makes sure the opponent attacks him under his standards. And when he does attack, he either uses simple, yet undetectable deception to gain an upper hand on his opponent or analyzes them, searching for weak-points. If he finds those openings, then he might make his attack rather than wait. With those aspects to his fighting style, Kagami finds that by using these aspects to their fullest in his battle style, he fights most effectively.
Kagami relies most heavily on his released Zanpakuto more than any of the techniques listed above. It fits any and all angles he takes in a fight and suits him like, well, like a suit. All of its abilities will be described later, but what must be understood about it is that it is the main part of every aspect of Kagami's fighting style. It is the edge to the sword, the wind to a storm, the Soul to the body. Without it, the abilities above would be completely pointless and far weaker than they are paired with the Shikai. It acts as a magnifying glass to enhance rays from sunlight. It turns harmless light into a focussed burning blaze.
Kagami excels in coupling various non-release techniques such as Kido with his mirrors to put together chains of combos. This allows him to set up dozens of attacks against his opponent before choosing one to follow through with. It also makes his power versatile and deadly to anyone unfortunate enough to fight him. While Kagami is a superior swordsman, he often times doesn't have to move to stay out of his danger if his release active. He is a capable illusionist as well. With his arsenal of techniques, his illusions, and his strategic genius, Kagami is all together a deadly foe to face.

Meet Shinkiro Mai <---((Click Me!))
Gotta to break it to you,
but I would kill for a good, slowly equal fight.
I'm not fond of spilling blood, my motive is not that bitter sweet.
Inner World(Optional):but I would kill for a good, slowly equal fight.
I'm not fond of spilling blood, my motive is not that bitter sweet.
Appearance:
Mai is so many layers of crazy, but the only part of the cake anyone sees first is the outside frosting. To put it subtly, her looks are quite deceiving, not to mention distracting. She isn't too tall, nor is she short. Mai stands at 5'5" tall, the average height for most women. Her figure is slim but not bony, and her body has some very defined curves that she doesn't bothered to hide much, just like most late teens (including herself) in the modern Human World. However, what stands out most in a crowd is her unusual purple hair. The color of her hair is like a suppressed, more faint hue of Kagami's brilliant violet eyes, though it seems to contain just as much energy. It runs in nearly unnoticeable delicate curls down to her waist, even when tied in a loose pony tail as she prefers to keep it. Her bangs hang freely and part just above her eyes.
Speaking of her eyes, when one is close enough, he can notice how they light up her face. Her eyes shine with a deep ocean blue that could either be as shallow as a puddle or as deep as the Mariana Trench. They are just as beautiful as they are mysterious and foreboding. Look into them for too long and you're bound to find the darkness beneath their surface. And to add to the illumination of her features is that bright smile she never seems to shake off. It just sits there although it's glued to her face, though most of the time, it never reaches her eyes. Not even close.
As stated earlier, Mai's got a great figure. She's not all skin and bones, but nonetheless she's slender and maintains the type of body most women that appear her age only dream of. And her clothes show it off. She wears a plain white t-shirt that real doesn't cover much of her upper body up. However, just to act like she tries to be more conservative, she throws on a faded green track jacket, though it's left open most of the time. And to top it all off, she wears a short blue skirt that ends right between her hips and knees, in the middle of her thighs. Lower body wise, her apparel is just as conservative as her shirt. And to finish off her fashion style, she wears commonly trendy black vans. To sum up Mai's appearance, she's definitely easy on the eyes and finds it just as easy to keep those eyes on her.
Personality:
As mentioned above, word by word, "Mai is so many layers of crazy." For starters, at first glance, she appears to be a kind-hearted, warm person. Her soothing voice flows smoothly and sweetly, like honey. But her words don't seem to reflect her voice much at all. She doesn't hesitate before making any rude or offensive statements. She throws insults out like a curve ball, you can't quite see them coming behind her sweet, innocent voice. She's not the most pleasant person, nor does she find other people quite pleasant.
Well, most other people at least. She's taken quite a liking to Kagami ever since he had become a Shinigami. And when he finally discovered her, which didn't take too long, she would genuinely laugh at his failed attempts at flirting with her. She liked how he followed his heart and did what made him happy. Both of them share that common ideal and it was one of the many things that formed an instant bond between the two.
Speaking of things they both like, Mai is crazy about fighting. And when I say crazy, I mean Arkham Asylum insane. The Joker would call her nuts. And for good reason, too. Mai absolutely loves to fight the strongest people she can find, and losing isn't even a possibility in her mind. She knows in her mind, in Kagami's mind, that she will win no matter what. And when it comes to the end, she will cherish every moment of killing her opponent. Either by causing them as much pain as possible or by ending their life as a whole. Either way, she would be happy, and Kagami doesn't mind obliging with her wishes.

White, every where is white
So much light it might as well be darkness
Never has a black abyss been so alluring
Zanpakutou Appearances:White, every where is white
So much light it might as well be darkness
Never has a black abyss been so alluring
His inner world has found the most twisted way to make the light even more intimidating than the black. It is an endless blindingly white maze that makes utter darkness more preferable than its burning white. If one tries to find their way out of the maze, as Kagami has on many occasions, or even gets close enough to what already exists of the maze, it will just expand. No one can get lost in it because no one knows where they are going.
And, to make things worse, the spaces between each walls are narrow and suffocating, giving even those without claustrophobia a terrifying fear of closed spaces. Each barrier towers over Kagami at a height of twenty feet and the limited space makes it impossible to clear the walls. When one tries to break them, the only thing that may crack is their knuckles. There is no escape from the snow-white labyrinth. And just to ensure that Kagami stays on his feet, the walls and paths of the labyrinth may change.
It has taken a long time, but after many visits to the white network, Kagami has become comfortable in his inner world. Eventually, he became so familiar with it that he might enjoy the visits he paid the maze in his dream. And it was at that stage when he was first introduced to Mai. He then started looking forward to the frequent visions he might have in his sleep where he might enjoy a conversation with her, one that usual involved him attempting to seduce her much to her amusement and his failure. But, nonetheless, he had fun. The nightmare became a pleasant dream.

Sealed
Kagami's sealed Zanpakuto doesn't have much special about it. Although it is an extremely beautiful blade, it just doesn't draw as much attention as his Shikai, and, for that reason, the Shinigami prefers to keep his Shikai active (considering that his type is Perma Release) rather than his sealed Zanpakuto. When examining the blade's appearance, one is still easily captivated by its prestige. It takes the shape of an ordinary katana with a very subtle curve to the metal. Like most weapons of its sort, the Zanpakuto has one razor sharp edge that smoothly widens back into the main body of the sword. The opposite side is blunt and doesn't have much use rather than to block another opponent's attack.
The blade is approximately two and three quarters feet long. Of course, at the stage Himitsu is at, he can manipulate the size of his Zanpakuto so that its size does not rely on his total amount of reiatsu, for Kagami it would be far too massive in order to keep up with his fast-paced fighting style. Two and three quarters feet was the perfect size, not too long so that it's response would lag but not too short. Its size is just right in order to respond to Kagami's commands rapidly and fluidly.
The brilliant shining metal of the sword leads to the golden guard that separates it from the hilt of the sword. The guard doesn't have an extravagant shape, for it is a simple circle that does it's job in order to protect Kagami's hand from sword strokes from his opponents. However, it's glorious golden shade radiates light, giving its simplicity a magnificent atmosphere. Even the hilt of the sword holds quite nobility as well. It has the same golden color of the guard. However, in order to highlight its tone, it is wrapped with green cloth for comfort and practicality purposes that shows a pattern of spaces that reveal the true brilliant color of the hilt.
The final aspect of the blade is the dark green scabbard in which it rests. It is made of a beautiful steel that had been polished so much that it has an appearance that shows a perfect reflection. It is just reflective of the light as the blade is, and seems to have depth to it, despite the fact that it is no more than a quarter of an inch thick. And, for the finishing touch, it has a green cloth around it that secures the blade to Kagami's waist. This cloth is the same color as the green wrapping on the Zanpakuto's hilt.
Shikai
Kagami's pride is his Shikai. And, even more, he's extremely pleased with his ability to show it off twenty-four seven unlike most other Shinigami he's met. Kagami hasn't set his eyes upon another Zanpakuto that holds both the same grace and magnificence that his own green Zanpakuto, the same light yet deep green one might see when looking in the middle of a thick piece of glass, does. All in all, Kagami's Zanpakuto has a very graceful and beautiful appearance to it.
When overlooking the blade overall, it seems to have the same length as his sealed weapon. The blade as a whole extends two and three quarter feet out. However, this sword does not have a guard, unlike his sealed Zanpakuto. And regarding its design, especially towards the hilt, it doesn't need a guard. It has thick protection at the base that consists of thicker metal a small extension of the sword just an inch into the hilt around the strange circular part of the hilt that connects to the blade. In addition, there is another extension that goes just around where Kagami might place his hand on the back of the blade. It serves to protect against stray sword strokes that somehow get past the dips and hooks gracefully ingrained in the design of the blade.
The curves of the sword aren't merely for beauty purposes. The sword ends and restarts in strategic places, leaving gaps wide enough to trap swords and hook them, allowing Kagami to manipulate the blades of his opponents. It even has these hooks and elevations of the blade on the other, blunt side of the single edged sword incase he uses that edge to block or deflect attacks.
The black hilt of the Shikai also has several properties worth attention. For starters, it has unbelievably convenient small basins perfect for the size of each of his fingers. It makes maintaining a grip on his weapon easier and more comfortable than ever. In addition, the spiral at the top of the hilt seems to be emphasized by the blade as a whole, for the metal of the swords goes around it to highlight its presence and grace.
The hilt isn't too long so that it's annoying, yet not too short so that Kagami feels that his hand doesn't have quite enough room. It's about ten inches long, including the part in the bottom where the chain is attached. This chain is the primary tool Kagami uses to secure the blade safely at his waist, for he doesn't have a scabbard to place it in. However, Kagami's more than happy to show off his famous blade rather than hide it behind a leather container.
Bankai
Kagami's bankai is immense. Following his battle style as a strategic genius, it truly turns the enviornment into his complete advantage. Kagami's bankai takes the form of a Mirror House, just like the type one may find in a carnival or circus. However, it doesn't look that way on the outside. The building has a cubicle base with each side stretching for 900 meters (over half a mile). In order to avoid destroying its surroundings, it can also grow over other buildings and the ground around it so that there is always room for bankai to be unleashed even in dense areas. The building extends for 30 meters (over 100 feet) into the air. It has no doors or openings, so without one's permission it is impossible to get inside.
The interior of the Mirror House is a maze of mirrors. The floor, ceiling, and walls all have reflective surfaces. Each path of the maze is 3 meters wide and the roof is 3 meters tall (a little over 9 feet), making it a tight space for large foes. These dimensions of the mirrors are so precise because of the actual nature of the mirror. Rather than it being composed of huge mirrors, it is actually several smaller mirrors with 3 meter by three meter dimensions placed by each other. The and openings in the maze are due to mirrors having their opposing sides linked, creating corridors for people to walk through. The Mirror House has three floors, and they are connected by staircases. Each floor has five stair cases that are positioned at each corner of the mirror house and in the center.
Zanapkutou Release Names(Include both Shikai and Bankai names, and call out phrases):
Shikai
"Unveil all atrocities, even those unseen. Reveal their Souls, Shinkiro Mai!"
Bankai
"Show them their dark sides, and show them ours'. Karai Shinkiro Mai!"
Overall Ability:
Kagami's Zanpakuto is not something to be taken lightly. Unlike most weapons, it doesn't take a direct approach with its attacks. Those are far too simple and although simplicity in some cases provides power, using unconventional methods in battle doesn't deduct any of that strength. In other words, it might give your blade another edge (pun intended) and amplify your power. The way Kagami's Zanpakuto acts makes it a tricky, unpredictable, discreet, and deceiving power.
Its ability has anything and everything to do with reflections. No, not mirrors, although mirrors are the largest part of his power and provide the most clear images, allowing Kagami to use them to his advantage more than any source of reflections, however, even reflections through water or glass can be manipulated by Kagami all thanks to his handy Zanpakuto.
Kagami controls these reflections in several ways, including linking them together and the such. He may also summon large mirrors to allow him to use his power to its full potential in battle. Kagami's reflection ability is just what he needs it to be: reserved, versatile, deceptive, and powerful. Those four key aspects refine and project his fighting style, presenting it in a way that gives him an enormous amount of power and elevating him to a high position as an extremely worthy fighter. If Kagami's your opponent, you better watch out. As long as you can see yourself, you might not be standing for much longer.
Shikai Overall Ability:
As stated above, Kagami's abilities revolve around reflections. To be more specific, mirrors, although all reflections apply. It's just that mirrors provide the clearest and most reliable source of a reflection, and, for that reason, Kagami's Shikai allows him to summon large, broad mirrors for a small reiatsu cost of 25 for each time a mirror is summoned. The mirrors are exactly three meters tall as well as three meters wide. They are paper thin. but do not share paper’s flexibility, and are double sided, so that it makes evading the mirrors even more difficult. In addition, while the mirrors cannot move completely, it can rotate in all directions using either its center, edges, or corners as an axis so that it may always point wherever Kagami wills it to. A mirror may only have one point from which it pivots and this point may not change after it begins to pivot.
These mirrors, when summoned, can be placed anywhere within two hundred meters of Kagami. The large glasses may also hover in the air. One of the most useful traits of the mirrors is there reflective properties. Any Kido or reiatsu based skills that are fired onto the mirrors will be fired directly back in the exact same direction. It even reflects Kagami's reiatsu back it him, so if he hides behind his mirror, energy sensory would not be able to detect him. And any physical attacks cannot penetrate the mirrors unless the opponent's highest offensive stat is at least two hundred higher than Kagami's spirit pressure. It may also be broken by a technique that has a Class difference of 2 or higher.
Of course this powerful ability is not without weakness, drawbacks if you will. Another flaw is that the mirrors cannot be moved. The stats required to break the mirrors have already been listed above as well, requiring at least two hundred more points in their highest offensive stat more than Kagami's spiritual pressure in order to break the mirrors. Another issue is that Kagami must see where he positions the mirrors and cannot summon them within his opponent's body.
However, Kagami cannot continue to summon more and more mirrors as he wills. His limit is having five mirrors active at once. And per post, he can summon up to three mirrors at a time. Mirrors appear instantly when summoned and will disappear if this limit is exceeded in order to compensate. Also, Kagami can allow his mirrors to vanish with just a thought, and summon them again in a different location without moving a muscle.
The last couple of parts of Kagami's Shikai ability is mentioned up in the overall ability section. Kagami can make a blade identical to his Zanpakuto jump out of one of the mirrors or any other clear reflective surface. If an opponent is unfortunate enough to be near the mirrors, Kagami can make his blade pop out of the reflective surface and impale his foe. All in all, Kagami's Shikai is dangerous, and to make it better, it doesn't have the traditional Shikai limit and may be active at all times. And, better yet, for an additional 50 reiatsu added to the normal cost for a technique, he may manifest kido into any clear reflections that are not apart of another person's body (ex. eyes), allowing them to be the source of the technique.
Bankai Overall Ability:
The walls lining the outside of Kagami's bankai can only be broken in one hit by an offensive stat over twice Kagami's own offensive stat. One with an offensive stat greater than Kagami's may crack the mirror with a physical attack and break the mirror with three direct hits against the same position. However, that is the least to worry about in his bankai. The first part of the bankai is simple and allows Kagami to alter his mazes. The uniquness of the mazes is that they are made up with several mirrors chained together. Therefore, corridors are created by linking opposite ends of the double sided mirrors and letting all things pass through them. Kagami in his bankai state is able to use three free Image Links, though the technique when used without a cost is less effective. It only lets him link one side of a mirror to the opposite side. In addition, all things are allowed to pass through the mirror, depriving him of the ability to regulate what is permitted to pass through and what is not. However, he gains the ability to alter the mazes in his bankai.
Zanpakuto Techniques:
Shikai (Also Available for Bankai)
1. Reza Han’ei Suru [Laser Reflection]
Description - If there's one thing Kagami lacks greatly, it's destructive power. Unlike other Shinigami, he doesn't have the moveset to wreak havoc and destroy entire buildings with one blow. This technique, however, gives him the opportunity to do damage on a large scale. It takes the concept of light refraction that all mirrors incorporate to bounce light back. After all, every reflection is just reflected light. Lazer Reflection allows Kagami to focus the light in a mirror and release it in one giant wave energy traveling that is capable of scorching holes through anyone with a lower offensive stat and causing severe second and third degree burns to those with a greater offensive stat. Only someone with twice Kagami's offensive stat may completely ignore the effects. The light shot out of the mirror at the incredibly fast speed of 800, and it is aimed based on the direction a mirror's surface is pointing. If a mirror is curved, it may have an arc rather than direct beam.
Each laser costs Kagami 100 reiatsu, making it an easily spammable offensive technique for him. However, he's limited to using it once from each mirror per post, for the mirrors are required to gather light. If the battle occurs in the nighttime, the mirrors may have a difficult time gathering light and need to be exposed at least once to another light source other than the moon to make this technique possible. Blocking out the light completely negates this technique.
Drawbacks - Listed above.
2. Gazō Rinku [Image Link]
Description - This is one of Kagami's most useful techniques out of all that are provided by his Zanpakuto. Like the one before it, this skill cannot possibly do physical damage against an opponent. However, also like the technique before it, Gazo Rinku's primary goal is to deceive the opponent. Like its name suggests, it deceives the target by linking the mirrors Kagami summons or other sources of reflections with each other.
This Image link has many uses. First of all, it can allow one mirror to show the images on another mirror. This use of the image link might allow Kagami to appear in a place that he is not when used correctly. It can even allow someone to hear sound from another mirror. However, the best use of it is teleportation. By linking not just the images of the mirrors but the mirrors as a whole, Kagami can transfer his physical existence between mirrors, having them act as a gate. He can use this same method to allow his Kido to enter one gate and come out the other, allowing Kagami to change the direction he is attacking his opponent from. He can also permit allies to travel through the gate he opens. The only things that can travel through the mirrors are those that he allows to do so. If he’s not aware of something attempting to get through the mirrors, then the mirrors do not allow that object to pass. If an opponent is passing through a mirror while Image Link ends, the opponent will be trapped by the mirror and the only way to get out would be to break the mirror. If the image link is between different mirrors, then the opponents body would return to the mirror closest to the majority of his body. If mirrors are connected, it is possible to link them together as one conjoined surface as long as they are contacting each other.
Drawbacks - There isn't much of a drawback for this technique. The only flaw in it is that the technique itself does have any offensive purpose and cannot cause direct harm towards Kagami's opponent. The only other downside that stands is the reiatsu cost, which is 50 reiatsu per post this technique is used. When Bankai is active, each link he forms between mirrors is 50 reiatsu, so that if he linked two mirrors and then linked another two, that would cost 100 reiatsu.
3. Hahen Uchikudaku [Shard Shatter]
Description - This is the single offensive technique available to Kagami from his Zanpakuto, and its power is devastating. However, like the skills before it, Hahen Uchikadaku is not a straight-forward attack either. For the most part, it appears to be similar to a mine in the fact that the opponent must be near for it to be effective, though Kagami doesn't necessarily need to be near by in order for him to use it.
What the skill does is destroy one of Kagami's mirrors and break it into a cloud of shards in the relative area. When an opponent is immediately next to one of Kagami's mirrors, it can shatter in thousands of splinters of reflective glass. But here comes the good part. From each shard of glass, Kagami's jade sword emerges and cuts and stabs the opponent, a cripplingly devastating move when it hits the opponent.
Another possible use of this technique occurs if one of Kagami's mirrors break without this technique being used. Kagami then has the opportunity to pay the reiatsu cost and either have the shards shatter to invisible grains before having his jade blade emerge from them or allow his sword to stab through the fragments broken off by his opponent, however few or many their might be.
Drawbacks - Such a powerful technique is not without restrictions and flaws. The first problem with Hahen Uchikudaku is that it requires the foe to be within it. When the mirror shatters, the shards spread out a meter in each direction, so the diameter of this cloud of microscopic mirrors is two meters. If the opponent isn't within the volume, the technique cannot and will not hit. Also, Kagami cannot be in this cloud or he will also be impaled by his own blades. Finally, the reiatsu cost is 300.
4. Fuun no 7-nenkan [7 Years of Bad Luck]
Description - It is very possible for powerful opponent's to shatter Kagami's mirrors. Anyone with that stat qualifications may do so with either a physical attack or a reiatsu technique that is at least two classes higher than Kagami's Shikai. The purpose of this technique is to counter the destruction of the mirrors by utilizing the superstition of 'Seven Years of Bad Luck' for shattering a mirror. Kagami has the option to activate one of the aspects of this technique after his opponent breaks one of Kagami's mirrors, and it may only affect a target as long as the target is responsible for breaking the mirror.
Seven Years of Bad Luck is meant to be a repercussion for breaking mirrors, and forces powerful opponents to think twice before doing so. Each time a mirror is broken, the opponent is subject to a different effect. There are seven effects total, and if, for some reason, the opponent goes through all seven, then this technique has already done its part. Because the effects get progressively more severe, their reiatsu cost rises for each level. The first effect costs Kagami 100 reiatsu while the seventh costs him 700. The effects are:
1. The opponent is now subject to a stamina count of 4 combat posts. After the four combat posts, his/her highest stat will be cut by 50%. If the opponent has more than one stat tied as their highest, than the priorities that will be decreased in order will be Reiatsu Strength, Speed, Strength, Spiritual Pressure (remaining reiatsu will be halved as well), Senses, Instinct, Energy Sensory, Instinct.
2. If the opponent has any stamina count such as those to Genius or Shadow types, then one combat post will be added to their current total. In addition to that effect, the opponent will now be fatigued by movement at a higher speed than 150 rather than 300 for the next three posts.
3. The opponent cannot repeat any technique, including step techniques, for the next 3 posts.
4. The opponent suffers a 2-second physical stun (channelling reiatsu is still possible, just no physical movement, which will prevent anyone from using a stepping technique or aiming a reiatsu technique).
5. All of Kagami's wounds are reflected onto the opponent's body, including the wounds he will take for the next three posts.
6. The opponent cannot use any reiatsu for the next three posts.
7. The opponent loses all senses and energy sensory for one post.
Drawbacks - The reiatsu cost progressively grows, so Kagami would eventually have to pay a whopping total of 2800 reiatsu for every single effect. That alone is a huge drawback. In addition, these effects are only activated if an opponent breaks one of Kagami's mirrors, which could potentially end one of his attacks. In a sense, it follows the rule 'an eye for an eye' to even out the damage done to his opponents. He had to lose something for this technique to be used. In addition, after all seven effects are gone through, Kagami's release drops one level. If his Zanpakuto was in its Shikai state, it would go back to the sealed form. If Bankai was active, he would drop to Shikai. However, if he wanted to release once again, he would need to pay double the traditional amount. Bankai would cost him 800 reiatsu, and Shikai would cost him 400 reiatsu.
Bankai (Not Available for Shikai)
5. Warped Reflections
Description - Now the bankai starts to get fun. Have you ever been to those mirror houses where the mirrors are distorted? Some make you look taller, shorter, skinnier, fatter, or a combination of all of those. Kagami now gains the ability to manipulate ones image in a mirror, changing their appearance in real life. The requirement is that the target must be between two mirrors, so if Kagami's Mirror House was destroyed, it'd be extremely difficult to use this ability. Usage costs 150 reiatsu per use. What it allows Kagami to do is multiply the dimensions of an object, technique, or person. If it is used on a person, he must have a higher offensive stat by 20%. However, for objects and techniques, this can only be resisted with an offensive stat that is more than twice Kagami's. Essentially, he can mutliply the dimensions of anything or anyone by 10 times the original. A 5 foot tall person would suddenly become 50 feet tall, increasing in size at a rate of 800. In addition, he can increase someone's size but make them just as skinny as before. He can make something very short but multiply it's length at the same time. No matter how large someone becomes, they will be able to support and move as though their speed and strength where the same. Stats would not change, only size.
Drawbacks - Listed above.
6. A Heart of Glass
Description - This technique utilizes the knowledge of his opponent that Kagami attains from his bankai. By being able to delve into his target's emotions, mind, and history, he is able to haunt them through their past. Kagami is required to either have a sample of his opponent's DNA or their reiatsu to utilize this technique. The DNA must have at least the quantity of a fist-sized chunk of part of their body or a similar amount of their reiatsu condensed in a physical form, such as flames, water, or wind, or even unconcentrated reiatsu through the means of a device. Without at least one of these, doing so is impossible. Upon obtaining the sample, a mirror heart begins to construct around the sample. Around it will emerge a set of mirror ribs, mirror arteries, and even mirror blood. In a span one full day, a person with a mirror interior but ordinary exterior would construct completely. This isn't just a piece of glass but rather a whole person composed of mirrors with a normal outside appearance.
Kagami makes this person in the image of one of the figures from his opponent's history, and the instant that he begins making the person, he learns everything about the person that the source of the DNA knows just by constructing the clone. In addition, while this replica of someone from the opponent's history has its own mind, it share's Kagami's will and motives, allowing it to do his bidding with its own independent thought. It shares no more emotional connection with the opponent but it can prey on the target's connection with it to terrorize the enemy verbally.
However, these clones also have potential for physical combat. While they bleed like normal people, they also die like normal people. Similarly, they have physical ability like normal people, too. The replica will have a speed and strength equivalent to Kagami's highest offensive stat. However, they will have no reiatsu strength or spiritual pressure. They share a reiatsu pool with Kagami, which my ultimately harm him if he uses them in extended battles. Each clone takes all of Kagami's reaitsu to make, forcing Kagami to fade into unconciousness upon activating the technique until the clone is completely constructed. Once constructed, they remain alive even after bankai ends.
They are living people: homunculi. The only difference between the originals and the replicas is that Kagami controls the motives of the replicas, so they can be used for sinister purposes. However, Kagami must be careful with how he uses this technique, for he is connected to the replicas in many ways. Each replica has a piece of his soul in them, like the holcruxes from Harry Potter. They share a reiatsu pool, Kagami can use the replica's senses, looking through it's eyes or hearing through it's ears, essentially, it links its knowledge to Kagami, and Kagami experiences any pain that it does. If the replica were to die, Kagami would experience the pain of death. When Kagami dies, the homonculi die. The homonculi do not age, and Kagami can only have five active at time. If he tries to create a sixth without killing one of the currently existing replicas and reclaiming the piece of his soul he placed in it, the technique would kill him. If a homonculi is killed, Kagami loses that piece of his soul, which limits the amount of homonculi he can make. After the final piece of his soul is destroyed, Kagami would be to use this technique. If Kagami is killed, he can cause one of his existing homonculi to morph into his body and he will inhabit it as his own. However, the parts of his soul that was with him before his death would be lost and he would only have the single piece of his spirit that the clone holds. And if Kagami pays a reiatsu cost of 1000, he may instantly teleport a homonculus to him, allowing it to walk out of one of his mirrors, requiring him to be in his shikai stage of release at least.
Drawbacks - Listed above.
Other Techniques:
* = Mastered
Technique Name: [Hado #40: Gouzen Demizu (Roaring Flood)]*
Class: 5
Technique Type: Kido
Technique Element: Water
Technique Description and Effects:
This technique creates a powerful rush of water starting from a point on the ground directly in front of the user. Water wells up from an unseen source, spreading out in a long pool in a line before the user, before rising up as an enormous wave, a wall of liquid between the user and the target. This technique is sent forward to slam into the intended victim, washing them away in a tidal wave that slams them into surfaces or simply blasts them away. After the technique ends, the water remains as a large pool with a radius of ten feet around the spot where it ended.
How to use technique:
To use this technique, the user chants the name of the technique as well as the incantation (optional) before pointing to a spot on the ground. The spot pointed at is the source for the water. Once the long puddle is created, the user raises their hands to create the wall, then pushes both hands forward in order to send the wave in the direction intended.
Technique Drawbacks
The traditional reiatsu cost of this technique is also its drawback.
Incantation and Effect:
The incantation doubles the size of the incoming tidal wave. ("A drop of water ripples across the ocean surface, a leviathan rises from his slumber. Go forth, depths of the sea, rise from your slumber to drown the land in your magnificent expanse; turn earth to sea, air to liquid, bring forth your deep embrace!")

Technique Name: [Hado #41: Kanji Taiho (Stone Cannon)]
Class: [5]
Technique Type (Kido, Hollow/Arrancar Technique, Human World Dweller Technique, Other): [Kido]
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): [Kido-using Races]
Technique Element: [Earth]
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect):
This technique can be used in two ways. The first is offensive, allowing the user to make a pillar from the ground with no more than a diameter of one meter shoot up with a speed of 500. This would be difficult to dodge, for it not only moves at such a rapid speed but also comes from an unorthodox place to attack, the ground. The blunt rock pillars would be more than capable of bruising an opponent, or even breaking their bones. If a direct hit is landed, it could even throw the opponent into the air. The pillar strikes with the force of 400, despite the speed that it moves at.
However, Kanji Taiho also has the capacity to be a defensive technique. If the user braces him or herself and causes a pillar to shoot out of the ground from under his feet, he could be launched into the air without suffering any damage. This may be useful in dodging any attacks or generally getting the user out of a sticky situation, hence the technique’s name “Stone Cannon.” Each pillar can rise at a maximum height of 10 meters, though the user would be able to regulate the height as he pleases.
How to use technique (How is it activated?):
[Pay reiatsu cost and activate.]
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc)
Firstly, the user must pay the reiatsu cost for each pillar he causes to rise from the ground. Creating three pillars would require three times the reiatsu cost. In addition, the pillars cannot be created if they are more than 100 meters away from the user. Lastly, when used offensively, the pillars are not blunt, for the ground that they are used on is flat. Therefore, they cannot cut and only offer blunt attacks.
Incantation and Effect:
(Incantation allows the user to summon two pillars for the cost of one) “Wake, Gaia, for I command you to raise the pillars of your Capitol and dethrone all who oppose you. Stone will rain toward the sky.”

Technique Name: [Hado #42: Amimono Shimokumo (Multiplying Ice Cloud)]*
Class: 5
Technique Type: Kido
Technique Element: Ice
Technique Description and Effects:
It basically allows to freeze surfaces that the weapon stabs into, It works best on walls and the ground but it creeps at an average pace. However the amazing use of it's power is its ability to flash freeze water, and any one who would be in that source of water would find themselves hindered and stuck, not only immobile but also having their body heat being sucked out by the immense cold.
How to use technique:
Call out the technique and thrust your choice weapon into the surface to start the kidou.
Technique Drawbacks
If you're not careful you can end of slipping on the ice or if your in the water yourself you can flash freeze yourself into the ice as well. as well as reiastu cost.
Incantation and Effect:
The incantation allows this to be used on plant life as well as water. ("Birds, trees, humans, demons, and even angels. All must bow before the unrelenting might of the cold. All can die if their fingers are numbed to the bone. There is no escape from the heart of Winter!"
Made By: [Takakazu Sakanoue]
Technique Name: Hado #90: Kurohitsugi (Black Coffin)*
Class: 2
Technique Type: Kido
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: A brutal spell, this Kido forms a box of black energy around a target, which is then pierced by dozens of energy "spears", lacerating the one inside from head to toe. Its appearance and function is reminiscent of a common magician's trick, as well as certain torture devices used during the Spanish Inquisition. Escape from within is nearly impossible, causing those trapped by it to face certain doom. It is virtually unbreakable from the inside, except by a vastly superior spiritual strength, and with a technique class 2 or above. This is also considered impossible to dodge at point blank range.
How to use technique: Speak the spell and point hand towards the target.
Incantation and Effect: “Seeping crest of turbidity. Arrogant vessel of lunacy! Boil forth and deny! Grow numb and flicker! Disrupt sleep! Crawling queen of iron! Eternally self-destructing doll of mud! Unite! Repulse! Fill with soil and know your own powerlessness!” With the incantation, this spell gets a 40% increase in Reiatsu Strength (i.e. if Reiatsu Strength is 100, this is treated as 140 with incantation).
Technique Name: [Bakudo #21: Sekienton]
Class: [6]
Technique Type: Kido
Technique Element: [Smoke]
Technique Description and Effects:
In Tite Kubo's canon, this is the first revealed Bakudo which is not used primarily to ensnare opponents. This technique instead causes a sudden explosion of red smoke which obscures vision. It is used primarily as an escape method.
How to use technique:
Can be cast by aiming one's hand at the ground.
Incantation and Effect:
The incantation doubles the size of the smoke cloud, which is normally only large enough to contain about eight meters cubed. Incantation unknown.
Technique Name: Bakudo #38: Mirafureru [Mirror Touch]*
Class: 5
Technique Type (Kido, Hollow/Arrancar Technique, Human World Dweller Technique, Other): Kido
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): Kido-using races
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect):
This technique allows the user to create a reflective coating on the surface of the target of this Kido. It requires physical contact that must come either directly from the user onto the target or through the user’s weapon if it is in contact with the target. The target would now have a reflective coating that may cover up to a full surface area of 20 square feet, more than enough to cover a single person. Since the mirrors are hovering an almost minuscule distance above the target’s surface, they do not require reiatsu strength superiority. The reflective coating disappears after one post.
How to use technique (How is it activated?):
Stated above.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc):
Other than the traditional Class 5 reiatsu cost, this technique cannot be used offensively on its own. In addition, it does not cover the eyes, ears, mouth, nostrils, or any other openings that one might have on their body when used on a person. Finally, it may be broken with an attack that has a higher offensive stat than the user’s reiatsu strength or a 2-class superiority.
Incantation and Effect (If Kido only):
“Show the Priests sinning, the Heroes dying, the lovers cheating, the Jester crying. Show the world its true reflection.” (Incantation increases RS by 20%)
Made By: Kagami Murai
Technique Name: [Bakudo #81: Danku (Splitting Void)]*
Class: [2]
Technique Type: Kido
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects:
Creates a clear, very high and wide barrier of reiatsu instantaneously in front of the user. Can be used to block reiatsu attacks, low level physical attacks, and any Kido from numbers 1-89, though this is also still dependent on the user's reiatsu strength.
How to use technique:
This can be cast with mental thought, with hand motions, or with naming it. This requires no special movements for casting.
Incantation and Effect:
The strength of the technique goes up 40% from incantation. (I.E. Reiatsu strength valued at 100 is instead valued at 140 during incantation.) "Barrier of dust, shield of north, protector of Men! Arise from ashes and reveal our weakness. Dissolve into air and hide our sins! On altars of greed we call you. In graves of virtue we worship you. Bind, scatter, reduce to ash! Cripple, crush, dissolve!"
Technique Name: [Shunpo (Flash Steps)]*
Class: 7
Technique Type: Kido
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
A movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. The focal point that determines the bases of this technique is speed. As speed is the main point of the technique the method is best characterized by how fast one can get from point A to point B in the least amount of steps. Training and skill are what determines how fast a user of Shunpo can move; those of little skill in the technique or those who haven't used it an extended amount of time would obviously be out of practice, causing those individuals to be considerably slower, which requires the use of more steps to move the same distance and become winded far easier in a shorter amount of time. A single step magnifies speed for that step by 10 times. Uses 50 Reiatsu per step. This one is automatically learned in the academy. ALL shinigami know this when created.
How to Use Technique:
A focus of reishi around the feet area, and then launching off into a single step which blurs, not unlike teleportation in appearance, except it is simply extremely fast movement. Often used to gain an edge in a single moment of combat, or to dodge incoming attacks.
Made by:
Technique Name: [Shunpo Karin]*
Class: [5]
Technique Type: [Kido]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects:
The famous "partial Shunpo" technique. This allows the user to initiate a single movement at Shunpo speed with one limb. This cannot be used without initiating the forward momentum. The user will need to move their arm the way they normally would before this technique can be activated. Momentum for this technique cannot be controlled. This means once the user initiates this technique, they cannot stop their limb from the movement.
How to use technique:
Stated above.
Drawback:
Also stated above. Higher reiatsu cost than normal Shunpo. Limit is once per post. More stamina taxing than regular Shunpo.
Made by: [Admin]
Technique Name: [Shunkassou (Flash Glide)]*
Class: [3]
Technique Type: [Other]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects: [This is yet another variation of the Shinigami stepping technique, Shunpo. Shunkassou gathers two pools of Reiatsu beneath the users feet, and basicly lets them float around on them. This technique was designed to be more manuverable and combat effective than the original Shunpo. It does not instantly take one to the destination of ones choice, rather, it lets you move around freely. Its cool because you can even use this to glide up walls and stuff, and even hang upside down! The Reiatsu creates a sort of friction between it and the object you're "gliding" on which prevents you from falling off.]
How to use technique: [Pool Reiatsu beneath your feet, and glide on!]
Drawback: [While this does allow continueous movement, its also one of the slowest variations of Shunpo. It only increases speed by x2.5 while using this technique. On top of that, it costs Reiatsu equal to 3/4s of the original technique cost, meaning it costs 300 Reiatsu each post to keep active.]

Technique Description and Effects: [What does your technique do? How strong is it? What is it's range of abilities? List these things below.]
This basic technique allows a user to restore an ally's reiatsu through physical contact. During this physical contact, the user pools his/her reiatsu into the ally, giving them however much reiatsu is desired to give.
How to use technique: [How do you use this technique? List below.]

Made by: [Admin]
Reserved?: [No]
Technique Name: [Kagura Shingan]
Class: [3]
Technique Type: [Kidou / Other]
Technique Element: [Non-elemental]
Technique Description and Effects: [This technique increases the users Energy Sensing by 50 by focusing in on one target rather than a wide area. This technique also allows the wielder to be capable of predicted the way a person will move by the flow of their reiatsu, as well as Kido preparation or other reiatsu based techniques, by focusing specifically on the targets reiatsu. Reiatsu is the energy that flows through all things and just like brain signals the reiatsu will flow differently when a limb begins to move. This technique lets the user detect these subtle changes and when a high level of skill with the technique is acquired the user can predict how a opponent will move. This technique visualizes the reiatsu in a persons body in a sort of "minds eye".
Level 1: Allows the user to predict how the opponent will move. Like, the movement of a arm or the charging of a powerful Kido. Subtle movements like blinking, finger twitches, or other smaller things are next to impossible for this level to detect. Max distance is 500 feet.
Level 2: The user can more easily predict how the opponent will move. Expands the radius of the technique to 1000 feet. Also capable of being used through solid objects now. Detection increases to the point more subtle movements can be detected, as well as weaker Kido being prepared.
Level 3: Can use this technique to its max power and detect someone at 2000 feet. Mastered increases Energy Sensing by another 25 points. Instinct and Senses allowed the user could predict just about any form of movement the opponent will do, even a nose twitch. It would be near impossible for Kido preparation to be missed.]
How to use technique: [Simply cast the technique. This technique is mental in nature, sorta like long range Spider-senses.]
Drawback: [First drawback is the cost. Second drawback is the constant cost. The technique requires 100 reiatsu a post to remain active. Reactivating the technique is half the cost. Third drawback is increased sensitivity to reiatsu pressure. What this means is if the enemy suddenly explodes with a drastic increase in reiatsu the user will be extra sensitive to this. This could cause the person to pass out. What this means is that the enemy would have to at least to increase his RS by double of the users. Fourth drawback is that this technique does not mean "lolicanpredictyousoidodgeyou". No, the user would have to have enough Instinct to be able to react in time to attacks. Just because you can tell how a opponent will move doesn't mean you are smart or fast enough to react in time. One more drawback of course, in order to use this technique the person needs to have over 50 points in Energy Sensing. Since this ability is mental in nature it can put a strain on the mind. If used for five posts straight then headaches will begin to form. After ten posts migraines will begin to form. After the tenth post the user will begin to have nosebleeds. But if the technique is used for 15 consecutive posts the user will pass out.]
Made by: [Raygin Kawada]
Technique Name: Spiritual Projection*
Class: 2
Technique Type: Special Kidou
Technique Description and Effects:
Spiritual Projection is a technique that creates an object that is spiritually connected to the user's zanpakutou. As a result, the durability of this object is nearly the same as the sealed state of the user's zanpakutou and carries the same unique properties as the sealed state. For example, if the sealed state has the unique property of glowing in the dark, then this object will glow in the dark too. Unfortunately, this object does not have a "release" but one can create all sorts of weapons to attack, be it a sword, axe, firearm or even explosive. When this technique is mastered, the user can use this ability to temporarily summon one's zanpakutou spirit. This way, people can interact with the zanpakutou spirit in the real world, which can be kind of cool. The zanpakutou spirit possesses the same exact stats as the user and disappears when the user wills its end or gets killed in the real world.
Drawback:
The more advanced the weapon, the longer it takes and the more difficult it is to create. The user would have to imagine the structure of the object and trace it into reality. It is much easier to trace copies of an object that the user has already seen than to create something from scratch so keep that in mind. For example, if the user has never seen a gun before, it will be nearly impossible to for the user to create one with this technique. Each weapon has a different type of reiatsu cost to create. A knife costs 25 reiatsu. A sword, axe or spear costs 50 reiatsu. A firearm costs 100 reiatsu. A grenade costs 150 reiatsu. A rocket launcher costs 200 reiatsu. A car or vehicle costs 250 reiatsu. A plane or helicopter costs 300 reiatsu. A zanpakutou spirit costs 400 reiatsu. An inner hollow costs 600 reiatsu.
There are drawbacks to projecting a Zanpakutou Spirit or an Inner Hollow. First off, the Inner Hollow only has the same stats as the user, is only accessible to Vizards and will not hesitate to attack the user. It is not the smartest idea. Second of all, Zanpakutou Spirits have their own will, personality and ideals that they follow. In other words, a passive and peaceful Zanpakutou Spirit will not be likely to help the user fight an opponent if he or she disapproves. Some Zanpakutou Spirits are purely social characters, which are only useful in everyday life situations. Lastly, if a summoned Zanpakutou Spirit uses reiatsu, that amount is automatically deducted off of the user's total reiatsu.
When the projected Zanpakutou Spirit is killed in the real world, it will severely impair the the user's Zanpakutou ability. As a result, the user's shikai and bankai duration will be cut in half (i.e. 10 posts will be 5). Also, the user will not be able to re-project the Zanpakutou Spirit is completely restored. Restoration cool down time takes about an hour in game time.
Created By: Shiki Kanzaki
Technique Name: Distortion Sakkaku: Strobe Lights*
Class: [5]
Technique Type (Kido, Hollow/Arrancar Technique, Human World Dweller Technique, Other): Other
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): [All]
Technique Element: [Light]
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect):
This technique first requires a source that can be either the user himself, an object, or the ground. What it does is produce a bright flash of light once every half-second. This flash would be blinding to all those that can view the flash. Anyone with more than 150 in senses that can view it will feel their eyes burn and be forced to close their eyes. Those with less than 150 senses who see the flash either directly from their peripheral vision would be distracted forced to squint their eyes and obstruct their vision, making their eyesight blurry. The only way to completely avoid its effects is to completely turn away from the strobe lights.
The strobe lights override the user’s vision, allowing them only brief opportunities to open their eyes between the flashes. They may then only see the user for nanoseconds before their eyes are flooded with another blast of light, giving the user another moment before he is scene. This causes blind spots in the targets vision and distorts their eyesight so that the user appears to be teleporting rather than moving fluidly. The lights last five posts after activation, though the user may end the technique whenever he pleases.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): Say the name of the technique and activate it.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc)
Firstly, there is a reiatsu cost. This technique costs 100 reiatsu per post to maintain. However, the more important drawback is the side effect it has on the user’s vision. The user must reduces his sense of sight in order to keep himself from being blinded. His pupils contract to tiny openings, reducing only the user’s vision to the point where they can only see shadowy figures. Faces and details are undistinguishable, but they can clearly see defined silhouettes. Also, if the target has less than 150 in senses and a 2 in Focussed Eye, he may ignore the effects of Strobe Lights.

Technique Element: [Water]
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect):
Level 1:The first part of the technique is causing water to rise from the ground all around for a quarter-mile radius until it is two-feet deep. Even if the floor is uneven, the liquid will not follow. It is fluid like all water, but it will remain in place rather than stream. The water is crystal clear and reflects the sky perfectly. If one were to take a picture at the right angle, it would be impossible to tell which way was right side up. However, that is the lesser illusion it allows. Kagami can cause small disturbances in the water at will. It could either be a sudden current pressing against the target's legs or a ripple over the water's surface, but it can easily act as a distraction. In addition, the water is deep enough to significantly slow running, capping it at 300, and prevent stepping techniques for all those trying to move through it.
Level 2:The water is a symbol of the real effect of the technique. It causes a ripple in the user’s body as well. Much like water, it will appear to flow rather than take on a single form. The user bends the light around himself inconsistently. He alternates every half a second between making his figure appear one foot wider, taller, and deeper, or one foot shorter, skinnier, and less deep. This makes physical combat with the user almost difficult, for it would be impossible to realize where their body begins and ends unless they aim for their center, which does not fluctuate. In addition, the technique extends to the user’s sword, making it possible for the target to believe that they had narrowly avoided a cut and find a gash when the sword is made to look a foot shorter than it really is. The user would fluctuate so quickly that they flicker between larger and smaller, but never take on their body’s true borders.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): [State the technique’s name. Level 3 requires physical contact to activate.]
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc)
The first drawback is the reiatus cost. Level 1 requires 100 reiatsu to actiavate and 50 reiatsu each post to maintain. Level 2, however, requires 100 reiatsu per post to maintain. If all levels are active at once, the user must pay 200 reiatsu on the first post and another 150 for every post that follows.
When Level 1 is active, the user must remain in contact with the water the entire time. Because of water's nature, all lightning-based techniques that contact the water at any point will cause full damage to the user rather than have the electricity diluted through the water. If he ever gets out of the water, then the technique will end. Also, a 2 in sports would double the cap on movement speed in the water. Level 1 is not required to activate Level 2, and vice versa. Level 2 can be completely ignored if the target has enough points in Illusion Resist and Focussed Eye to total to at least 4.

Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect):
Level 1: Harbringer - Harbringer is an inverted afterimage. Usually, those moving fast enough leave trails of their figures that quickly fade, but the visual effect is enough to confuse their opponent. However, Harbringer does the same thing in reverse. The user projects three or four images in front of him as he moves. The images will overlap slightly and fade as soon as he passes through them, but he must continue to project more images to replace them as he moves. This creates the same after image effect. However, the user will be in the rear of the trail rather than the front, where the opponent would expect. This protects him and, in fast-paced physical combat, he would be able to throw the opponent off with their timing when they aim for the first projection with the swing of a sword. However, the user may go a different direction from which he projects, making it appear like there are two different opponents.

Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc)

Technique Name: Haku (Fade)
Class: 3
Technique Type: Other
Usable By: Any Race
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
A technique embodying self-sacrifice, Haku is a technique in which the user sacrifices their weapon in order to protect themselves from an enemy's spiritual attack. This technique works by drawing Reiatsu into the weapon of choice, absorbing an attack entirely before the weapon is sheathed, further containing the foe's spiritual energy. Doing so creates enormous stress on the blade, however, and causes it to shatter, regardless of the technique or spiritual energy absorbed, and the weapon is lost.
Mechanically, this technique allows the user to absorb a single Reiatsu-based attack of double or less offensive stat to the user's, and funnel it into their weapon. The weapon then shatters, both attack and weapon lost. However, there is a catch to what can be absorbed; a weapon can only absorb an attack of equal or lesser Class to itself. A standard physical weapon would be considered Class 8 for the purposes of this absorption, while a standard non-Release spiritual weapon would be considered two Classes below the user. A weapon created by a non-Release technique would be considered of equal class to the technique, while a weapon created by a Release technique is considered of equal class to the current state of Release when it is summoned.
How to use technique:
Pour Reiatsu into one's weapon, and use it to contain a foe's Reiatsu for a brief moment before both weapon and attack are destroyed.
Technique Drawbacks:
Aside from cost, there are a few drawbacks to this. The first is the loss of a weapon, whether created via technique or previously owned. Naturally, the latter is a permanent loss, whether in a DE or NDE thread, while the former has its own drawbacks. If a weapon is created via a technique, it can be re-created, but at twice the cost of the technique. If a weapon is created via a Release technique, it can be re-created, but at twice the cost of the Release level used to summon it previously (i.e. if a Shikai technique is used during Bankai, it still costs twice the Bankai cost). After the first doubled cost, the technique's cost returns to normal unless Haku is used again. This also requires the user to have a 3 in the weapon used for this technique.

Class: [3]
Technique Type (Kido, Hollow/Arrancar Technique, Human World Dweller Technique, Other): [Other]
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): [All Races - Only if taught by Kagami Murai]
Technique Element: [Smoke/Light/Mirrors/Illusions]
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): [Insert Below]
Kagami's fighting style outside of release can be summarized best by those three words: lights, smoke, and mirrors. As of late, he has mastered several techniques designed to distort and deceive, and this technique is the ultimate form of deception and illusion that he has manifested all on his own through extensive training in honing and focussing his reiatsu. Kagami with the creation of this technique, Kagami has truly exceeded himself and lived up to his title as the Mirror Master.
This technique requires five posts to prepare, and in those five posts, every opening in Kagami's body including his mouth, nose, eyes, ears, and even sweat glands release a colorless, odorless smoke only visible to those with an energy sensory of more than 200. Upon leaving his skin, this smoke also begins to expand and multiply on its own, allowing it to cover the floor of a battlefield without the knowledge of his opponent. It requires five posts for Kagami's smoke to become concentrated enough to become useful, during which he may still move around and fight normally, and after that five posts, he may choose whether to allow his smoke to be visible and cause a hazy to form over the area or remain invisible to the eye. Even after these five posts, the smoke continues to expand and spread out. Because of the constantly multiplying and growing nature of the fog, not only does it cover a large area very quickly, at an exponential rate, but it is also impossible to disperse without a lot of time, effort, and scrutiny, for just one remaining particle of the fog can regrow a large amount after some time. If large-scale wind attacks were used to disperse the fog, such as the creation of a tornado, Kagami would have to go one post without being able to use the fog.
This is when the fun tricks come in. Now that the five preparation posts have concentrated the fog, Kagami gains the ability to create illusions of himself. Each illusion costs 50 reiatsu to create and another 50 reiatsu for each posts it's maintained after the first post it is created. Illusions may move freely based on Kagami's will, but, in the end, they're acute refractions of light. They may not cause any direct damage to the opponent. For another 50 reiasu, Kagami may also concentrate light in a manner that makes it appear like a common Kido technique. He is capable of either creating blasts of lightning of various sizes like Byakurai or Raikoho, waves of water like Gouzen Demizu, and fireballs such as Shakkoho. The Kido illusions would move identically to their actual counter parts.
The last aspect of this technique relates to the mirror portion. As long as Kagami can clearly picture another individual, he may create a mirror image of them just as he does for himself. Making a figure of someone he doesn't recognize as well is more difficult than creating false images of himself. Therefore, creating images of other people, including the opponent Kagami is currently fighting, requires a payment of 100 reiatsu. These images may also move, and Kagami can only create them in the light of people from his memory or knowledge. Therefore, if he saw a certain person bleeding, then he can only create an illusion of them bleeding but not in an uninjured state.
As a final note, Kagami's illusions all have his reiatsu signature, making it difficult to identify the real Kagami or see through his illusions without an sensory of 200.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): [Insert Below]

Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) (Insert Below)
This technique is costly at first, and requires five posts of preparation. For each preparation post, Kagami must pay 100 reiatsu to release the self-sustaining smoke. Therefore, just to begin this technique without even having any effects, Kagami loses 500 reiatsu. Each illusion has another additional reiatsu cost, making this technique heavily drain his reiatsu pool. Another significant drawback is that it is incapable of doing any direct damage. This technique can't win fights and Kagami would have to result to other means to deal any damage to his enemy. Kagami may not create illusions of people he has never seen or does not know well enough to make a perfect copy of. The maximum number of illusions Kagami may have active at one time is 10.

Technique Name: [Words That Were Never Said]
Class: [2]
Technique Type (Kido, Hollow/Arrancar Technique, Human World Dweller Technique, Other): [Other]
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): [All Races]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): [Insert Below]
This technique is Kagami’s way of pre-emptively restricting his opponents before they even try to make a movie, ultimately resulting in their downfall in most cases. It does one very simple thing, but such an act is successful in halting the vast majority of offenses. It became apparent to Kagami that many techniques, such as Kido and even the release of weapons, are reliant on phrases and words. And if those words were taken away, the targets would be incapacitated.
Kagami initiates this technique with reiatsu contact. The user's release weapon must make contact with either the opponent or their weapons, and this technique successfully becomes infused in them. Its effect is simple: it prevents the user from speaking. However, it does more than that as well. The technique makes direct mental formation of words impossible as well. Therefore, those under this technique lose the ability to cast spells or use techniques that require them to say or think a phrase.
However, it also has another use. Kagami may cast it on himself to block out foreign sound, both in his head and outside. His ears completely lose the ability to hear, and Kagami cannot make mental communication with others if they have such ability. Those are the only effects if Kagami uses the technique solely on himself.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): [Insert Below]
Listed above.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) (Insert Below)
This technique does not last infinitely when used on another. In fact, it only lasts for four posts after the preliminary contact was made. And for each of those four posts, Kagami must pay a price of 100 reiatsu, resulting in a total cost of 400 reiatsu if it remains active for its maximum time period. Anyone with skill points in mental incantation are free to use techniques that require the names to be thought or incantations to be made. In addition, someone with a superior RS/SpPr stat (which ever is higher) to Kagami is capable of breaking the effects of the technique. Otherwise, anyone can end the technique's effects by making skin-to-skin contact with him to nullify his reiatsu within them. Secondly, this technique is a double-edged sword. Kagami is subject to the same effects if it is active on someone else, preventing him from speaking or making actions that require speech. However, with points in mental incantation, he is free to break the mental effects of the technique.
When Kagami activates this technique on himself, he is required to pay a fee of 100 reiatsu per post as well, though there is no limit to its duration as long as he continues to renew the reiatsu cost.

Technique Name: [Silent Pain]
Class: [3]
Technique Type (Kido, Hollow/Arrancar Technique, Human World Dweller Technique, Other): [Other]
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): [All Races]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): [Insert Below]
Pain is the most basic hindrance to mortals, especially in combat. Some have trained their minds and bodies to suppress such pain, but there is only a certain degree of discipline that one can reach before their mind and body must succumb to the cries of their body. The nature of this technique may act like a tool or a weapon, depending on how Kagami chooses to use it. As its name suggests, it deals with silencing pain rather than noise.
Kagami initiates this technique with reiatsu contact. The user's release weapon must make contact with either the opponent or their weapons, and this technique successfully becomes infused in them. After it is ingrained in the opponent, Kagami has to ability to completely suspend all pain from the opponent’s body. This does not apply to mental pain, but solely physical pain. It doesn’t give them any form of pain tolerance. It simply makes the pain disappear.
Well, not completely disappear. You see, the pain is still there. It is just suspended for a short period of time. When Kagami chooses, he may make all of the pain that the target may otherwise have experienced flow right back into them all out once in a concentrated wave. When it is mastered, he may even choose to target the pain in only one part of the body, though this prevents the target’s body from feeling the pain in the rest of his or her body. Furthermore, it can even be used on Kagami himself to negate the limits of the pain he himself is experiencing.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): [Insert Below]
Listed above.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) (Insert Below)
Firstly, this technique has a limiting nature. Kagami can remove all the pain in the target’s body for only a maximum of five posts, and at the end of the five posts, regardless of Kagami’s will, the pain will rush back to the target. Anytime before that five posts, Kagami may choose to cause the pain to rush back to the target for a cost of 200 reiatsu or 300 reiatsu if he chooses to direct where the pain is felt, though doing so ends the technique no matter how many more posts is left in its duration.
Those with pain tolerance are capable of withstanding some of the effects of this technique, though that is dependent on the level of pain and the level of pain tolerance. For example, even someone with a Pain Tolerance of 3 wouldn’t be able to stay conscious after experiencing the pain of a life-threatening beating all in one sudden wave. The resistance of Pain Tolerance will be dependent on the judgment of the user of the technique, the target, and possibly a moderator if an agreement is not reached between the first two. Anyone with more than 25% the offensive stat of the user is completely immune to this technique’s effects.

Kagami isn’t always a Shinigami serving the Gotei 13. He has another life as a criminal involved with affairs in the Black Market. Therefore, he created this technique to help him conceal his identity. The first thing it does is change his reiatsu. His aura is now crimson red and emanates a hateful, vengeful attitude. Anyone with remote skill in energy sensory feel an evil in Kagami, though he will still be recognizable and identifiable based on his reiatsu. This technique only changes his physical appearance and doesn't alter his reiatsu other than its color and 'feel.' His voice becomes muffled and deep, further hiding his identity and making him even more intimidating. His Zanpakuto changes from its jade color to a black hilt and black blade, both when it is released and unreleased.
Kagami’s appearance also completely changes. His clothes are replaced completely. He now wears black jeans, a black shirt, and a long, black trench coat that conceal his weapons at his waist. He has a white mask with a circular, spiral formation centered where his nose may be. However, the mask has no facial features other than slots for eyes in the shape of tears. These three slots sit at equal distance from each other. Two are positioned where Kagami’s eyes are, and the final slot is at his forehead. The mask covers the top of his head as well, so the only parts of his face that may be seen are his eyes, which have also transformed. His right eye is blood red and his left eye is plain an empty white and has the same circular pattern as the mask.

Soul Society: Squad 13 Captain's Quarters
Kagami has a nice big room in the Squad 1 barracks. After all, being Vice Captain does have its perks. There are four rooms in this small apartment-like living quarters that Kagami has. The first room that the front door opens up to is the living room. It's not big enough to comfortably seat more than five people, though. There is a couch in the middle meant for three as well as two couches on each side of the larger. They face each other in an uneven triangle shape with a rectangular coffee table in the middle that usually remains empty. For Kagami's needs, the living room is satisfactory. And, to help with his annoying paperwork, he has a medium-sized brown desk with a lamp and stacks of paper on it that he had procrastinated doing and must catch up on.
There is no divider between the living room and the kitchen. Of course, I could go into detail about the models of stove-tops, ovens, sinks, and dishwashers provided by the wonderful kitchen. You might even want to hear about the round table off to the side that seats four comfortably, or the island in the middle that acts as a counter making providing more room to cook. Kagami doesn't care about any of this, not even the drawers and cupboards nicely placed around the kitchen walls in open areas for storage. What Kagami did care about is the various types of alcohol stored in the nice, large refrigerator in the kitchen. It has bottles and bottles of wine, beer, and other great drinks. Kagami loved that fridge.
There is a small hallway in the back of the apartment with two doors on each end. The first is a cramped bathroom with just enough space for a shower, sink, and toilet. The tiles are plain and white and there's nothing really special about it. Nothing stands out much in Kagami's bedroom either, which rests behind the other door on the side. It's just as tiny, having barely enough capacity for a single bed topped with plain white bedsheets and a bleak snow colored pillow as well as a minuscule brown nightstand that only supports a sliver colored lamp. Kagami only uses his room for sleep for the most part.

Side Note: For starters, I can't believe that I found this burried under the bricks that used to make up the Satou Family Manor, but I'll explain that part later. Finding this journal had just made me reflect (( pun intended )) on all that's happened. Looking back, I've made so much progress but haven't changed a bit. It's nice to see where I come from and to relive my past, both its positive and negative moments. I can't say that I have no regrets, but I know it's best to keep my head up with a smile and just move forward. There was this quote I came upon recently, and I'm not that type of person but this one just stuck in my head. It went something like "You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching, love like you'll never be hurt, sing like there's nobody listening, and live like it's heaven on earth.” I mean, I as long as you replace love with drink, I think it's pretty appropriate. Life moves on and mine's just getting started.
Entry 1
I guess I should start by explaining why I'm writing in this. First of all, my parents are staring at me eagerly, practically looking over my shoulder to try to get a peak of what I'm saying. This is what I get for my 12th birthday? Honestly, that sword I saw earlier would have made a much better gift, but apparently they had hoped this would be special. And how could I say no with those excited grins lighting their faces up like a Christmas Tree. So if they actually expect me to write out my story in this, I'd better start from the beginning.
I was born on February 2, 1927 in Hiroshima. My mother, Kana Satou, is the only daughter of one of the last great noble families of Japan, which apparently put much strain on her from my grandfather, though he passed away long before I was born. After just a little while, she was the final member of the Satou noble household, and I was meant to succeed and inherit the riches our family treasures as well as the mansion we currently live in at the heart of Hiroshima. However, instead of marrying into another aristocratic family like she should have, she fell in love with my father, Yousef Murai. He was a recent immigrant from the Middle East, but I suppose his comical attitude somehow stole my Mom's heart. I don't see how that could have worked, but I'm not gonna complain considering that without them, I wouldn't be here. They tell me stories about my birth, and how they see myself as a reflection of them with both my Dad's gray hair and my Mom's piercing violet eyes. Murai already means mirror, but I guess repetition doesn't hurt. They felt like Kagami, Japanese for Mirror, would do perfectly for my first name. Kagami Murai, Mirror Mirror. I guess it has a bit of a ring to it.
Edit: I guess somehow my name means more to me than I thought. That day had practically decided my Zanpakuto's outcome, and I'm not gonna complain. Mom, Dad, thanks. I hope you guys are fine in Rukongai, and maybe I'll be lucky enough to run into you. I miss you guys...
As the future head of a rapidly decaying family, I have to go through a lot of ancient traditional training that I couldn't talk my parents out of letting me skip. Since I started walking, they taught me a wide variety of languages including Japanese, English, Arabic, French, and Spanish. I get to be home-schooled just so my parents can teach me those specific skills as well as more generic school topics like Japanese History, Mathematics, Literature, and Sciences. But the fun only started when I turned five years old. I received heavy training in swordsmanship as well as close combat, though the swordsmanship was what I excelled at. As soon as I reached the stage in martial arts that my parents deemed "satisfactory." By the time I was eight years old, I practically ate, breathed, and slept swordsmanship. I even study styles from various countries as well as fencing, which I like to switch between to form my own style.
I think this is enough to get me started. Parents are really starting to bother me about what I wrote. According to them, this is what will be used as my records as the head of the Satou House, though I honestly don't know how much longer this family's nobility will last. Well, I'd say wish me luck, but that'd just seem weird considering that I'm not talking to anyone in particular. And on that note (which I did not just use to fill up space to make sure my parents deem this entry worthy), I'll be returning to my birthday celebration. Salam!

Entry 2
Damn, I haven't found this thing in a while. Apparently, I was supposed to be updating this regularly. Oh well. But I can't say that I'm not guilty for ignoring it for so long. So why not fill in the long gap I've left in the legendary life of Kagami Murai. For starters, I'm now eighteen years old. Today specifically is July 31, 1945. All that's been happening was this big war against the United States, but I haven't been too involved in that. Technically, because of my "special situation" as head of the Satou Family, I'm excused from participating in the Navy, so I get to continue studying and learning back here.
But lately, I've just had so much free time that I didn't know what to do with at first. And then, in the past month, I've made a habit of heading out to this local bar on my free nights. Boy, I didn't know the meaning of drinking until I turned that place upside down. Wine that I had tasted before at my home just wasn't even closely related to the beer and gin I had been introduced to at this place. But when my visits got more frequent and my intoxication level got higher, I found that running into some drunk idiots was one of the most entertaining parts of the night. Fights against drunkards are pretty simple, even if I can't seem to stand straight myself. But I've found that winning is relatively easy and I've built quite a reputation at the bar in just a few weeks. My visits became more frequent and before I knew it, I started going there every night.
My parents never found out, of course. However, there is one person I couldn't keep this from: my fiancee, Manamati Itou. She was the daughter of a member of the Itou Household, and my mother believed that the best way to save the Satou Family was to merge it with another Noble Family. I didn't need an arranged marriage to fall in love with her immediately, though she did need a bit of convincing. But I did win her over eventually. And she loved hearing the bar stories, especially about all my great fights. Though she always lectured me about not sticking my head out too much. Though have I really gotten into trouble yet? I think I should be set if I keep doing what I do.
Manami and I are meant to be married in a week, so my life's finally about to take off. I'm a little nervous, since she's probably gonna make me stop heading to the bars as often. And, odds are that I'll eventually become the leader of her Family. It's just more responsibility to pile on, really, but if it makes her happy, I'll do it. After all, that's practically my job now. Until next time, au revoir!
Edit: God, I was an idiot. I died three days later in the bombing of Hiroshima. The wedding never happened. My life was over in literally a bright flash, so the bomb must have practically detonated right above my head. I mean at least I got a quick end. But everything was gone, my parents, Manami, me... I don't know why I'm confessing this to a sheet of paper but I learned a big lesson from the pain I went through after all of that. Manami was one of a kind, and if I ever find her again, maybe we can pick back up where we started. Otherwise, though, I can't seem myself with anyone else. That's the main reason I don't get serious with the girls I meet, and why I probably never will.

Entry 3
So I've updated you (not sure what I mean by "you") on how my life met a sudden and abrupt end, like having your meal ripped right out of your mouth before you even get a chance to swallow it. However, little did I know that I'd be served another course. The next thing I remember after the explosion was finding myself in the middle of one of Rukongai's districts. I could barely take in the change of setting from my quite room at what used to be the Satou Manor to the wild and busy streets of Soul Society. However, a loud, obnoxious voice on my left was kind enough to comfort me.
I think the first words Damon ever spoke to me were "Why are you staring with your mouth open? Are you retarded or something?" Was I pissed off. I jumped to face him, my face red with rage, and prepared to unleash a fury of insults until I was struck dumb by his expression. I couldn't have predicted that he had a stupid smile planted on his face. My first thought was what on Earth gave him the right to call me stupid? But, we got to talking and he explained this whole death situation to me. He had to go through it too, a long long time ago. This guy was from Ancient Greece, the type of person I had to study about for a good year in my childhood. Honestly, he was just a normal guy, so that was a big waste of my time. But I can't say that I didn't take a liking to him. When I asked him if he wanted to grab a bite considering that my stomach was rumbling, he flashed me another one of his dumb grins.
And that pretty much started our journey together in Soul Society. We applied together to begin training as Shinigami. Apparently he had taken decades his reiatsu to discover that he had some reiatsu and had pretty much procrastinated becoming a Shinigami since then. His favorite excuse was that he needed a proper drinking partner, and that's when I came along. Right off the bat, I knew I was going to like this guy.

Entry 4
Finally found time to put in another entry. In the past few weeks, I've either been working nonstop or dealing with a killer hangover. The rest of my time is dedicated to nights that I can't seem to remember to clearly. Some people tell me that I have a drinking problem, and I'm suddenly starting to think that maybe they aren't wrong.
Anyways, back on topic. I still need to fill you in on everything you've missed in the past... how many years? Damn its been a while. In my last entry, I introduced you to Damon, and since then, we've pretty much become best friends. Of course there are others I talk to and hang out with in Shino Academy, but none are nearly as noteworthy as Damon. For the most part, though, I found him to be not only a great friend but the perfect rival.
The strange part is that it's not like we're competing for the best in a certain subject. Wherever he exceeds, I seem to lack. And wherever my strengths lie, he is struggling. That way, he can help me work my ass of to catch up to him in say reiatsu control and Kido practice. However, I on the other hand give him a hand in swordsmanship and other combat courses as well as our more tedious classes such as History and Hollow Knowledge. In other words, I am hopeless with controlling my reiatsu, even suppressing it is impossible in my case. And Kido is too difficult for me to get the hang of so I work on perfecting just a select few. Damon, on the other hand, is my polar opposite. Though he can make his reiatsu tap dance if he wanted to, he can't seem to get in touch with his Zanpakuto spirit easily. And when it comes to close-combat, he can't hold is own to well. But with each other, it seems that we can help patch up our weakness. It's a pretty great relationship, not to mention how much fun we have in the mean time. Damon has become my brother and I couldn't have asked for a better sibling.
This Shinigami Academy thing hasn't turned out to be too bad overall. Though I'm starting to get near my last year so I should really be deciding which Squad I want to join. Actually, I should have decided a long time ago but better late than never, right? Honestly, after hearing about the reputation of Squad 9's Captain, that would be my first choice. Who wouldn't want to have a drink with the Lion Captain Raion? But my instructors have begun to pick up on my skills as a tactician and aparently that isn't too common. They highly recommend me joining Squad 1. I figured that I am a Shinigami for a reason and even though Squad 1 might not be as fun, I would be contributing more there. So that pretty much led up to my choice after my graduation and my initial acceptance into the First Division. I'll tell you the rest later. Siyonara!

Entry 5
So, like I said earlier. I did eventually join Squad 1. It's been two years since then and Damon and I have been lazy as shit lately. We've barely done anything for the Squad and mostly went on basic patrols. Overall, it didn't seem like we had much promise as Shinigami. However, just a few weeks ago, I was invited to serve under the fifteenth seated officer in a small routine mission against a recent outbreak of hollows.
Honestly, I was tempted to decline it (like I had 90% of the other opportunities I was offered) until I discovered that Damon was one of the other Shinigami invited. We talked it over and as reluctant as we were, we ended up deciding that we had to actually start acting as Shinigami or our whole efforts would have been wasted. After all, how else are we supposed to actually become the strongest in the Gotei 13? That is the dream we had been working towards for a long time now and we've procrastinated long enough. Sometimes, I wish we had laid back a little longer. That mission was the last time Damon and I would ever fight side by side.
When we first arrived at the site, there were a few stray Hollows in unpopulated urban area. For the most part, our battle took place over the rooftops of the remote town. It was the middle of the night so we didn't have to worry much about nearby humans roaming the streets. What we did have to worry about, though, was the ambush that was waiting for us. Before we knew it, five Gillian emerged out of no where. The Giant beasts roared in the night sky and blasted Cero all over the place, taking out two of our nine Shinigami in seconds. That was all the wake up call we needed to recovered our wits and defend against the giant Menoses.
Just as the fight broke out, I was fairly certain we were not going to survive. Our Squad 1 leader was more competent in war strategy rather than close combat and wasn't used to seeing the fierce battle from the front lines. However, he managed to hold is own against one of the Menos while the other two were engaged with four other Shinigami, Damon, and myself. Those four Shinigami from various squads were continuously getting pushed by back one of the Gillian while Damon and I weren't fairing too well against the other. He would strike it with Kido and get its attention while I attacked from up close. However, I had to stay nimble or I wouldn't last long. And that was one tough Gillian. There was one point where it hit my arm with a burning Cero that made it difficult for the limb to even lift my sword. I had to switch my Zanpakuto to my weaker left hand and keep fighting, because Damon needed me.
That man was firing off Kido like there was no tomorrow. The sad part for him was that there wasn't. Is strikes kept bouncing off the demon's mask as it stared at him, unentertained. The hollow seemed to decide that it was done playing and turned to me. I could have sworn that it was smiling under that bone-white mask. Glared back, my bleeding arm hanging limp at my side, as it charged up and launched another Cero directly at me. I had to accept my fate, but someone else didn't. The next thing I saw was Damon leaping in front of me, maintaining a Bakuda shield on his wrists. However, his defense shattered and just before his body was fried by the Gillian's reiatsu, he smiled and mouthed a few words with his last breath. Those were his last words and I couldn't even make them out from the noise of the explosion.
I can't even explain to you what happened, but something inside my head clicked. And I heard a sweet voice speak to me, one that had only appeared in a few blurry dreams before. It told me "We'll avenge him together. You and me. Kagami Murai and Shinkiro Mai." Next thing I knew, my blade was glowing and then sparkling. All of a sudden, its shape changed in my hands and I'm staring at this Jade sword with a hilt that was pretty much molded to fit my hand. And I felt this new power surging through my body. I can't explain how i knew what to do but I caused a mirror to appear directly behind the Hollow and one directly next to me. From there, I fired a Hado spell into it and it reemerged behind the Gillian, striking it on the back of its head. Apparently, the Hollow was quite damaged from the technique but I was too fueled with anger to let it recover. I struck it down with one final slash and it vaporized into black dust. I was done with the monster.
Our Squad 1 commander was close to death and obviously needed assistance. I helped him out and together, we ended up eliminating the remaining hollows. But we weren't without casualties. A party of nine turned into a funeral for six held by the remaining three. I didn't shed a tear over Damon, I knew he wouldn't let me. So I gave him a nod farewell and silently buried him along side the remainder of our allies. What I had discovered that day really was not worth the price, but at least one of us could finish our dream. I will become the strongest Shinigami someday, for both of us....

Entry 6
Life has moved on, and since that fatal day against the Gillian. In fact, after the tragedy of Damon's death, I had earned myself a new nickname in the Gotei 13: Mirror Mirror. It suit me well. Not to mention the fact that I had built up quite a reputation in Soul Society. People had heard of my unique reflection-based power and I was considered to had one of the most beautiful Zanpakuto in all of Seireitei. Life was good.
And to make things better, I had spent all of my free time enjoying myself in the Human World. I went to many nightclubs and bars where I would spend multiple nights in many strange and unusual places, including the houses of many lucky women I had met that night. My only problem was that I was utterly broke. I figured if I was to find a place to stay, I might as well start with my old family mansion. However, I wasn't surprised to find that it was as demolished as it had been when I died. After all, that was only seven years ago. But what I was surprised to find after looking through the rubble for a couple of hours was that this little notebook was somehow still intact. That's when I had started to fill in my story once again, just in case I was going to be remembered for something. And that's about all my life has come to so far. The next time anything big happens, I'll be sure to fill you in. But until then, later.

Entry 7
A lot has being going on, so I figured that it's time to write some of it down so that when I become famous and eventually die, the world has this record of my thoughts and such to look back on. So, firs thing's first. I met this Arrancar by the name of Col Arana in New York City. Guy's a monster. The fight was pretty even, but he hadn't even released and I was fighting all out with my shikai. Eventually, he managed to land a cut to my wrist so I figured that it was time to back out of an uneven fight. Then, thing's started getting trippy. As I began to retreat, he trapped me with Bakudo. The Arrancar could use Kido, and that just spell out bad news. I had to fake my death by leading him to believe that his Cero killed me. The guy's still out there, and I'm hoping to find out more about him.
And I had a run in with another Arrancar, too. This one wasn't quite as mysterious and unknown considering how many times she had invaded the Rukongai several times. The Septima Espada, Myzaraphinston Synderfell, and I crossed path's in Karakura. She put up a fight, but cockiness eventually brought her down. She was trapped by my mirrors and impaled in every inche of her body thanks to my brilliant Zanpakuto. But the bitch felt like opening up some past wounds that hadn't completely healed yet. She picked up on Manami and tried using that knowledge against me, but I put the bitch in her place. She won't have the guts to ever bring something up like that again to my face.
Let me add Quincy to my list of dislikes, as well. In a Central 46 member's wedding, the Vandenreich decided to attack, a manuever that only served as a distraction so that they could steal the Hougyoku. Those Quincy ripped up my suit, but I made sure to kill them after that. It all would have been fine had Sozen Kuchiki not called my suit cheap. That bastard just started a feud right there, and he could expect me to send him a formal challenge in due time. The Head of the Kuchiki family better prepare to have his ass handed to him my the Mirror Master.
Speaking of Kuchiki, not all of them are bad. I met Takehiko Kuchiki on a mission in Vegas, which ended giving us plenty of cash. On top of that, I got the guy in a dress. That was worth the trip. I also met the famous Anastasia Kuchiki, who I practically knocked out half of Seireitei for and only received a kiss in exchange before she skipped out on me. I should have known better, but I owe her too. She got me access to the Kuchiki Library, where I learned about Sozen's sister, Saeki Kuchiki. She just might be able to help me find Manami. Maybe...
Things went wrong very quickly. Now that I'm back in Soul Society, I've got access to this agin, so let me fill what's happened. I captured Sato Hoshi, a criminal Saeki requested that I bring to justice in exchange for her information. She sends me to meet Manami in a distant Rukongai district where I find that Manami and Adalo are having sex. I don't know what happened, but something in me snapped. I was yelling. I was denying it all. I couldn't take it, so I attacked Adalo, but I had no effect. And, as relaxed as ever, he crushed his eyeball and smeared his blood on my face. I couldn't even move, and Manami easily used some sort of beam technique to burn a hole through my chest. I passed out.
When I woke up days later, I was in a Rukongai hospital. Hotaru had apparently been watching me, but while she was out, a stranger gave me a mysterious Red Cross and provided some underworld connections. Once I had recovered, I left the hospital without any warning. I didn't even tell Hotaru. In that time, I had taken part in various underworld activities. I became extremely infamous as an assassin, mercenary, and smuggler. I wore a mask and changed my appearance, calling myself Douma, the Angel of Silence. Ha, an Angel. That was some bullshit. I was the devil to anyone who was in my way. It's all about growing stronger now. It's all about beating Adalo. I need my revenge. I need to show him that I am better than he is, so he can understand the mistake he made. He needs to feel ten times worse than how he made me feel. Petty. Insignificant. Weak.
My journeys in the underworld continued, but I returned to Soul Society one year later. I'll explain my return in my next update. Until then.
