Thread Title: Showcase Match: Hunting Heretics

Location: The desert of Hueco Mundo, at least thirty miles north of Las Noches. A long time ago, fire reiatsu burned the sand in this area until it melted into glass, and for this stretch of land, about a mile in diameter, the normally white sand is replaced with hardened glass. The moon is in the sky, the air is still, and the reiatsu in the air is capable of knocking anyone below vice captain level out in an instant, just based on the two people fighting here.
Special Conditions: First post is whoever does so first. Winner will receive a custom item. Other than that, this match is a normal PvP, no holds barred. It is worth noting that this thread will not affect the outside canon, such as with faction points, or plot development (unless all members are okay with it doing so). Play nice, settle things peacefully, and please don't be a drain on mod time with rulings.
Circumstances: The Emperor has spoken, and Caesar has listened. The Cardinal has traveled through the shadows into the white desert of Hueco Mundo to hunt down an unaffiliated Arrancar, a true monster by the name Col Arana. However, truth be told, Col sensed the Quincy coming from miles away, and the fact that they're fighting anyways means something very simple: that Col believes he has a chance of victory.

Frustration. Irritation. Annoyance. Inconvenience. These words and others like them buzzed about in Col's mind as he returned to his ancient home. For his days as a hollow he had dwelt in a burrow deep within the sands of Hueco Mundo. Back then he had been a terrifying predator. A colossal spider, the size of a skyscraper. And in this lair he had spun his webs, lain in wait and trapped and devoured his prey. All until that woman-- Cero, had come. Col briefly touched his mask fragment that remained above his brow. So much pain. The memory still burned freshly in his mind. It had hurt, and he had known pain, as he had never felt it before. Crimson eyes burned with anger and hate, and his fingers moved away from his mask. Strange. I think I may actually miss them. Col thought as he considered the Escudo. They were gone now. Swept away by the tides of fate. And only he remained. A last relic of the Escudo's power....

Well. Perhaps that's what some might think. The Escudo had been a means to an end to Col. If some liked to think him a testament of his former organization's power, they were welcome to. Col was his own person. His power was his own! But still. He found it strangely hollow, and, for the first time in a long time, lonely. The Escudo's brow furrowed. Foolishness. He chided himself. Reliance on others is nothing but weakness. They are food to be devoured. In this world one must stand on their own to survive. He thought. Yes. Such foolish thoughts would pass away in time. It was a rude shock at the time, but now it was done.

And then he sensed another. This was not a hollow. It wasn't an arrancar. It wasn't even a shinigami. "What is a Quincy doing in the land of hollows I wonder?" Col mused, as he rose up and began to walk out of his burrow and out into the moonlit sands of Hueco Mundo. The sand sifted under his boots as he climbed out of the dune in which he had formed his burrow. The Quincy was still a ways off. Several kilometers. It didn't matter. He was headed in this direction. Col advanced for approximately three hundred meters from his burrow, and then laid his trap. He extended a hand before him. A shimmering blue orb of reiatsu formed in an instant, before him and then vanished into thin air. Cero Durmiente. The sleeper Cero. This Cero would lay in place until Col was ready to fire it with but a thought. It would be a nasty surprise for the Quincy. In addition this would cause a brief flare of reiatsu that would practically serve as a homing beacon for the Quincy. Col stepped about twelve meters from his sleeper Cero and then created a Bala Durmiente there. Two traps set up now. Perhaps nothing would come of them. Or perhaps the Quincy would blunder into them. Col smirked slightly, stepping away from his Bala Durmiente, stopping about ten meters away from either of his traps, and licked his lips. Perhaps this will take my mind off of things. He mused. He let his senses stretch out to await his enemy's arrival.

[Caesar]

"And the Lord said unto me. 'Kneel before the light of a True God and embrace that in which is right.' And I stood before the bright light. The warm feeling bathing over my body as I stood before God. 'But Lord!' I cried. 'What if I am not worthy of your grace?' and the warmth grew stronger. Embracing the very soul residing inside of my chest for he answered immediatly. 'Then fight for me Child. When you fight for me you are always worthy of my Grace.' And I knew then I must embark into the land of Hollows. And Fight. And Kill. For God has decreed it." Caesar, C, The Cardinal. A figure head and self appointed Cardinal of the Religion that worshipped Der Kaiser for the True God he is had entered into the land of Hollows. The howling winds and the endless night filled his ear with the knowledge he already knew.

That this was what the world will turn to if the Hollow Plight is not exterminated. The False Shepherds believe themselves to be helping yet they seem unaware if not ignorant of this place as a whole. If they allow the hollows to continue existing this is what the world will become. Before he continued into the land of the Damned. The land of Endless Sands Caesar bent his head downwards for a brief second and closed his eyes. "Shaper of Earth and Sky, Wielder of the Holy Fire and the Shining Light of Peace, hear my prayer. Keep me from the hands of my enemies, that I may not tarnish the name of my King. Deliver my foes into my crosshairs, that they may fall to the Light of Your Majesty." and before long he began to venture onwards. He did not wear his cloak but instead decided to leave it behind. For Caesar knew that there will be a fight.

The General wore his black priest uniform. Twisted to match that of the Vandenreich Religion. The Holy Book "Seine Pracht" latched onto his side in a metal box. His facial fragment and cross began to grow a brilliant white light as he drew in reiatsu. He needed the energy in order to fight and he needed to reiatsu so that he could have what he needed for the fight. His wandering would not last long, as Caesar also had a formidable amount of Energy Sensory. The closer he grew towards Col, the stronger the reiatsu became. It had even been sensed that this reiatsu was stronger than his own. But that was okay, for Caesar was being watched by God and he knew that he will come out triumphant. If he were to perish then and there he knew that his life would be immortalized by Der Kaiser, he would be made an angel when his God had created the World they were all promised in the beginning.

The closer he grew, the stronger he knew his opponent was. This was not an average leveled opponent, a mid level shinigami, or even a lower leveled Captain. No. This opponent was stronger and was to be a considerable opponent to Caesar. The Quincy was also cautious when dealing with Arrancars and hollos alike. He knew that their touch was poisonous, and that they burned greatly. It could even burn through blut, their defense. So it was not needed when dealing with this Thing. Before their eventual meeting. Caesar deactivated the defensive part of Blut and immediatly activated the offensive part of Blut. Choosing to make his spiritual strength even stronger. Under the Grace of God he will drag this thing to Hell and make sure it never came back.

"Repent! Repent for the Light of God has finally shined on this damned place. And will Free you of your torment through Death. Do you yield?" His voice echoed, his voice did not raise in pitch or temper. It was as if Caesar was addressing a sermon, adressing a sermon of the Damned and the bastardized. He was calm with them for he knew if he killed them they will find release. With that he released his level two and awaited what his opponent had in mind and made sure his firearm was latched properly onto his side.

Item Description: The weapon takes the form of a a typical government Colt .45 ACP M1911. The general design of the weapon is that it is created from spiritual steel and is colored steel black. What makes it unique in appearance is that on every handle, brown colored polished steel smooth casing perfectly fit over the handle with an image of Der Kaiser engraved and colored onto the handle. What makes this weapon special is the way that it is fired, the gun only comes with one clip. What makes this clip special is what kind of bullets they take, which to say the least, there are no physical bullets needed to fire this gun.

What happens is the user in general expends reiatsu directly into the clip, every 150 reiatsu they add into the clip creates one “bullet.” The clip itself is capable of holding 12 bullets and nothing more. These bullets are shaped and sized directly in accordance to an actual .45 ACP but their power is determined by the gun itself. Because reiatsu is changeable, the gun is able to have six presets that change the reiatsu in order to do certain things. Each preset uses a certain amount of bullets per clip. The Strength of the bullet is equal to the RS of the user.

.45 ACP: This is the Basic bullet that is fired from the Gun. The Phrase is “45” and fires at speeds of 600. The Bullet takes 1 bullet from the clip.

Buck Shot: What makes this bullet special is that it fires 10 small reiatsu balls that spread over a small distance at the speeds of 600. The Phrase for this bullet is “Spread” and it takes 5 bullets from the clip.

Hot Shot: This is where the entire thing becomes expensive as the effects gets deadlier. What happens is that upon leaving the barrel of the fire arm, the bullet ignites and burns at a concentrated form. The bullet itself has no strength but the strength of the fire is equal to the RS of the user. The bullet itself moves at 600 speed. The Phrase for this bullet is “Icarus” and it takes 8 bullets from the clip.

High Explosive: This is where the entire thing becomes expensive as the effects gets deadlier. What makes this bullet special is that when the bullet makes contact with any surface it releases an an explosive force equal to the RS of the user, the size of the explosion is 30ft. The bullet itself moves at 600 speed. The Phrase for this bullet is “High Ex” and it takes all 12 bullets from the clip.

Ah. And here the man was at last. What powerful reiatsu! Col's mind was entirely taken off of his previous problem. "Ah.... now this is refreshing. I've not felt such power since Axis vanished." The former Zarpa complimented Caesar, taking in the Quincy's appearance. He was an old man. A sign of experience! But then again, he was also merely human. He was not a shinigami that could live a thousand years or more, nor was he an arrancar like himself. The Quincy were ultimately humans at their core, and so this man before him, Col doubted could be older than even eighty! It mattered not how powerful he was, Col was confident that his experience trumped this man's.

But he was a colossus to be sure. Col himself was of relatively average height, and so Caesar towered over him. Were Caesar a dueling man, that would be a danger for certain. But Col expected that the Quincy, like most of his brethren favored long range combat, and so that massive body of his would not factor in much. He seemed as though he was reading Col a sermon, or chastising him. "Remarkable." The arrancar said. "I should have expected it of one such as you. Do you truly believe in such a farce as God? Do you believe yourself to be his righteous angels of judgement? You are powerful. Oh yes. But Quincy or not, you are only human." Col told him. "You may think yourself on a holy crusade. But all you are doing is running to your demise" Col stated, emphasizing his sentence by drawing his zanpakuto from its sheath, the blade making a dull, rasping noise against the leather sheath.

Col's weapon was clearly a long sword of some kind. A spanish blade-- the Espada Ropera. Double edged, with a needle-like straight blade, optimized for thrusting. But more than capable of splitting a man in two with a single swing. An elegant, versatile and efficient weapon, the guard elaborately designed in the shape of a spider, its legs bending together into a hand guard. The Quincy had unleashed a considerable amount of power. Col had never fought a Quincy before. Humans with Fullbrings, shinigami and other arrancar, yes, but this was the first he had encountered one of the enigmatic hollow slayers of the human world. All he knew of them was that they were empowered humans, and that they favored long range combat. Well. Long range was fine with Col, though he greatly preferred close quarter combat, when it came to it.

Something had changed though, and as Col's eyes narrowed in focus he realized what it was. The Quincy's reiatsu had grown stronger. Somehow he was amplifying his might. Now, it seemed he was even more powerful than Col! "That's a clever trick you've devised, Quincy." Col stated. "Well. Perhaps you shall amuse me awhile before you perish." He threatened, before raising his sword for battle.
