Vannan couldn't help but let out a soft smile as Aevus took the blade and then said that he was looking for someone that this so called boss had taken from him. Somehow knowing that this shingami had someone else he was looking out for made him feel somewhat at ease, it could have been that it reminded him of himself and how he watched out for his sister, but then again it could be that the shigami also gave away a weakness to him, either way Vannan felt a bit safer around this shingami even if the two were normally moral enemies.

Getting close to Aevus he whispered into his ear so that he didn't have to raise his voice and alert anyone else nearby. “Listen up given that both guards are now dead I have a feeling that they will be looking for us soon, I think it's better if we move carefully right now and advance slowly follow my lead.” Stepping into the shadows of the room Vannan slowly moved up the stairs. Each footstep was light and almost silent, as he approached the door to the next floor he opened it up slowly and took a look around it was empty this was good for him and Aevus he signaled Aevus to come up. As Vannan walked to the stairway to the next level he heard footsteps coming down. He smiled and lined himself against the wall behind the door so that when it opened they wouldn't see him. He nodded to Aevus to come and join him there, if he did he would hear Vannan whisper to him “leave one alive.”

As the door opened and three guards stepped out in Vannan's sight he fired off his guns. Three bullets went right to the head of one of the guards. At this range and without warrning it would be hard to even try to dodge the attack. Vannan would leave one of the guards for Aevus to deal with as he focused on the last guard. Without missing a beat he aimed for the back of the guards kneecaps and his wrists however effective his attacks would be would depend on how fast the guard could react. He knew that this attack wouldn't kill the guard but it would render him almost incapable of fighting back at all if it connected. By luck the guard that Vannan chose to try to spare was also the one who warned Iwa up above, but he had no idea of that.

If the guard couldn't react in time Vannan would kick him down to the ground if he wasn't already and step on his back pointing the gun to the back of the guards head. “Speak and I'll let you live. I want to know where you're keeping the things you've taken from us.” Depending on the guards answer he would let him live or not. Even though there was another guard to deal with he was confident in Aevus's ability to take him down with what he had on him. None of the guard seemed to be to eager to use any kind of power besides their guns which meant that either they were underestimating them or that they couldn't. Either way it was a benefit for him and Aevus.

Aurora still kept growling, letting the rage in her build. She was going to need it later when she planned on leaving this boat with her mate. If the guard talked, she wasn't paying attention. She kept her eyes ahead and scanning the area, trying her best to remember the layout. But, everything looked so similar to her, she doubted that she would really remember anything but the blandness around her. It was then that she was led to a staircase and made to walk up. Once she had reached the top of the stairs she had to squint for a minute.

She had been taken to the deck. She stopped to squint, but felt the guard behind her make her continue walking. She growled more at that, continuing to walk while letting her eyes adjust to the bright sunlight. Once her eyes did get adjusted to the light, she found out she had stopped moving and looked to her left. There was Zegram. There was a mix of emotions on his face but there was only one on hers, rage. She was happy to see he was safe, but angered that he got caught with her and pissed that they were both in this situation because of him. She then stared at the captain, waiting to see what he would do next.

Aevus still wasn’t so sure about this man, yet he had little choice but to team up with him for the time being. His smile was a bit offsetting but he could tell it was genuine. Why he was smiling he knew not, for he was rather terrible at reading people. Nor did he really care at the moment, all that was on his mind was rescuing his Zanpakuto from the clutches of his captors.

Still feeling out the sword, his fingers would glide up the broadside of the strange and unfamiliar weapon. It was durable and sharp yet still foreign to the pale faced reaper. The unfamiliarity of the blade made him unconformable and he knew why. It just wasn’t the same as wielding his Zanpakuto, he even realized that when he had began wielding that damn artifical Zanpakuto of his. Being born from his soul, Lumina Umbra was a piece of him he couldn’t begin to fathom letting her go.

He had heard stories of Shinigami loosing their Zanpakuto spirits. All were from different circumstances but it all stemmed to one fact: they had lost a piece of themselves. Yet no matter how much he acted towards her or how he had treated her recently, loosing her was something he refused to do. Aevus would follow suit after Vannan as he nodded, his footsteps were silent and his movements swift. He kept silently to the shadows as he fell against the wall next to the his newly gained ally.

“Leave one alive.”

Aevus would hear the man say in a subtle whisper. Well he didn’t need to tell him that twice, the shinigami still had it in his mind that he didn’t need to kill anyone and he knew why. Yet he never stopped his allies from killing those that opposed them nor did he outwardly show ill feelings towards them upon doing so because how could he? It would be silly and ignorant to ask another to refrain from killing someone who was trying to kill them. Killing was just something that just didn’t think he needed to do.

So the pale faced reaper held back back and that had caused the Shinigami some problems in the past. Situations where he could have gotten out unscathed if he had attempted a killing blow had left him nearly clinging onto life itself because he couldn’t finish the fight before it even started. Aevus wouldn’t wait for Vannan to finish his fight and would move upon his toes immediately after hearing a single gunshot. A Shunpo cast him forward as he dug his new blade into the right shoulder of the guard possibly piercing him into the wall upon doing so. He remained quiet as Vannan spoke yet his gaze never left the pierced guard for a second.

An immense spiritual pressure could suddenly be sensed throughout the entirety of the ship a presence that seemed to match the magnitude of a Captain from Soul Society or even one of the High Espada from Las Noches. It would feel like the weight of an entire building was suddenly on everyone's shoulders. Just what was causing this and what could any of them do about it. It wouldn't matter though as each of them heard the same voice inside their skulls speaking to all of them separately yet together. "You've cause enough trouble on my ship for my crew. It seems I collected the wrong prospects last night. Begone vermin." Suddenly purple sludge burst out of everyone's mouth that soon enveloped them each only to teleport them back home with a cloudy memory of what had occurred on the ship. Now the only question was would any of them remember enough to track down the pirates that had somehow captured them and the Captain who apparently saw himself above each of them all.

Unfortunately, having reviewed this thread, I am not going to give this thread the 2x July TP. This thread was dropped in 2015 and slapping on a weak conclusion that doesn't read like a conclusion doesn't suddenly finish it. The goal of Double TP July was to give people added incentive to try out DMing and we decided to play fair and apply the same bonus to threads that end in the same month. This feels like an attempt to exploit the events bonus so I will not be giving it the bonus.
