Thread Title: Showcase Match: Arms Race of the Century Participants: Pavel Fedoseev, Gavin Argelia World: Human World Death Setting: Non Death Enabled Rating: R Location: The docks of Karakura Town, in an abandoned warehouse, is where the fight will commence. There are crates cluttering the inner walls, however the middle of the warehouse is perfectly clear, and dimly illuminated by low watt institutional lighting, which flickers every so often. There is a bloodstain in the middle of the concrete floor, someone has died here before tonight. Someone likely will die again. Special Conditions: First post is whoever does so first. Winner will receive a custom item. Other than that, this match is a normal PvP, no holds barred. It is worth noting that this thread will not affect the outside canon, such as with faction points, or plot development (unless all members are okay with it doing so). Circumstances: If there is one thing that businesses cannot stand, it is freelancers that do their job as well as them. There is a growing population of mercenaries for hire, that are unscrupulous and highly trained, and (more importantly), beginning to encroach upon Xcution's business. Some of these mercenaries can be bought, or threatened, but every so often one of them requires personal, direct intervention. Pavel has been sent to try and execute Gavin Argelia, one of the most dangerous mercenaries in the Spiritual World right now.

Pavel stood in front of the docks in Karakura town, the tall male was dressed in his typical military uniform, the olive color of the clothing and the general design of the attire, it was clear that the man was of Russian Origin. He fixed the cap on his head before looking down to look at the large belt that hung around his waist. The golden star and the way that he kept his uniform would be clear to anyone that this man was of a military origin. The makeup he applied was to make sure that his skin was a tad lighter with a broader jawline, in essense he made himself appear like the "Russian Military Man" he had created, Boris. His hair was slicked back before being hidden underneath the cap, and on his face was a pair of darkened aviator shades. He looked at his sleeve to check what time it was "Eleven. Eleven Thirty-Two." then he simply pulled out a vanilla envelope from the jacket before opening it.
At that moment he remembered the briefing that came with this job. In the morning, Pavel stood at the hanger of the Xcution, world wide they owned private hangers and jets that allowed their agents and members to move without the need of going through public transporation. It was there that he would recieve a phone call from a familiar voice, a voice that could not be discerned, it was heavily disguised and they were always to the point. So there was no need for conversations. "Good Morning, Major. It appears that there is competition around Karakura Town. At around one of the main headquarters. While competition is normal, it appears whoever this being is, they have a disregard our threats and our bribes. It appears that this person needs direct intervention. Deal with this threat. Do what you will. It appears that your target has a name for himself. Gavin Argelia. Apparently this guy is supposed to be dangerous."
The docks was an interesting place to set up, the splashes of the waves coliding against the concrete wall and the birds singing their songs in the distance, it was clear that this dock was a beautiful place, granted it was outdoors and Pavel shuddered as he remembered he disliked the outdoors. That was when he rememvered the warehouse, the place where many rogues lost their lives at his hands. He stared at his gloved hands and remembered that it was painted crimson, painted red with blood. This would the same place where this mercenary would lose his or he would lose his own. Another day, another Job. The clouds gently rolled acrossed the world, as creaking of boats filled the air with sound. Since becoming a Major, the former XSG had lost his touch with sensing energy, however his senses and instincts became better. He listened closely to the world, and he rememembered that it was for justice he fought for.
At that moment, Pavel stood at the area, the exploitable fact of any mercenary is that they were in this profession for one thing or another, whether it was because they felt it was their duty to go after men and women who have garnered bounties on them, the monitary reward that came with the turned in bounty, or because they wanted to better themselves. Xcution knew this mans name and they knew he was dangerous, Pavel had heard some reports of what this guy may specialize in. The issue with being a mercenary against a multi-trillion dollar corporation is that you no longer become private, your life no longer becomes yours. To Xcution, you are a known thorn against their side and they will do all they can to remove that person from existance. Whether they use corporate to buy out the company that is going against them, use their military to eradicate another PMC. or sending agents of the Seven Guns to make sure they never existed in the first place.
However, it was already proven that this man could not be bought out, it was clear that military action had to be taken. He had sent out a packet of false information into the network for a man named Gavin Argelia of a tip on a high-paying bounty at the docks. This person would be at the docks at around one p:m. It gave Pavel the time to get there as soon as possible from Russia. Once there he was sure to make his syringe at the ready at the nearest sound, if this person had to be eliminated, Pavel was always weak in the spiritual arts, but he made up for it in being intensely strong. While his body was not ripped like those who proclaim to be the strongest, his body was able to withstand more punishment than a typical human, he relied on this and his release to make sure that his opponent was dead and the job was done. "удачи""спасибо" the sweet voice of Valentina echoed through his head as these were the last things he said to her before he left.

[OOC] Let's get this show on the road, eh?
[IC]
Things were getting harder. Argelia, who had given up the life of a mercenary for xcution so long ago, found himself doing this sort of work all over again. The cost of living had grown, and his particular cost of living had inflated to rates in which he could not handle normally. That was fine, really. He enjoyed battle, even if battle itself was that which he didn't often take part in. Weak opponents here, untalented there, and in general he passed through each job as if it was something he shouldn't have a care in the world about. And that, too, was fine. He could sit there and essentially coast through his current missions, and he knew, at the back of his mind, that he would not need to do such a thing for too much longer. No, he wouldn't have to. The jobs paid well, and he didn't have to deal with the moral choices involving them due to the fact that he only generally selected jobs that kept him on the legal sides of things. Which, by nature of the jobs, meant he was only taking down the 'bad guys'.
As if that were true at all times.
This new job was different. He didn't like the meeting place, for one. The docks were terribly secluded, and the atmosphere simply didn't feel right to him; not, it was intensely different. To most, that sort of aura would be impossible to feel, but to a warrior as seasoned to him with his level of analytically thinking, it felt suffocating to the point that he couldn't help but feel a bit...guarded. In general, he had felt that way about all his jobs, as the time he spent working for xcution and doing jobs for them taught him that no one, not even the ones that you were doing the job for, could be trusted. His life and training within the legion taught him that the world was harsh, and that, at any moment, any man could become your enemy, even those you had held dear; much like the great Julius Caesar...much like his cousin, Lethe. The several years he had lived had taught him much about the world.
He approached the warehouse warily, and everything inside his being put him on high alert. No...this was strange. His instincts told him that things weren't as they should be, sharp as they were, and his analytical mind processed what his instincts were telling him to ridiculous extents. Much like a dog or any animal with sharpened senses--in which his were sharpened to such a point--he could smell blood. The scent was distinct, and even if it was only slight at this distance, it was something he could not mistake. He had been around enough blood to know the smell--that sickening, sanguine that could break the wills of even those deemed strong in large amounts. Yes, this was all familiar to him. His mind processed this, quickly, and he came to the conclusion that this was slightly old. However, rather than avoid the situation, he decided to plunge himself into the thick of it; he did not take kindly to having to deal with those who would potentially do with him the same as whoever the poor sap from before was treated.
Admittedly, he had never been good at sensing energy. His sensory abilities in that field were at the bare minimum, and so he didn't know how strong his assailant was; he'd need to have them in full view, having to focus on them directly in close proximity to get anything. Still, what he lacked there was made up by his senses, instinct, and analytical mind, something that his foe would have in common with him. That was fin, as well. He stepped into the building, and before that his senses were and form were focused, his left hand still placed on the handle of the door he opened to enter. His eyes scanned the room, with their animalistic sharpness, and yet...he saw little. Eventually, his eyes settled on a man, holding a syringe of some sort, among the boxes and crates that littered the warehouse. He had entered fairly quickly, but it was certain that this man was expecting...someone. How interesting. He. honestly, had no interest in fighting anyone right now, but would certainly not mind making quick work of someone hired to intimidate or kill him, for whatever reason that might of been; he had enough enemies in his past in which he could blame this on.
"Hey, stop for a minute." He was sure that this wouldn't actually stop the other man, and, in fact, he was certain that this was just another assassin taking orders, who did not care for negotionations; with no action to stop anything the other man might do, it was clear that Argelia wasn't interested in any petty tactics to gain the upper hand early. "I dunno what organization ya work for, sure, but I gotta say, before we start this up, I'd rather not use all those fancy blasts and stuff like that, contrary to that popular belief an shit. If ya want, I'd fight ya without usin' my innate spiritual abilities, an you can hold back to fight me at equal footin'; ya'know, the classic way to duke it out. That means, holdin' back anythin' that would put you above the other guy, aside from raw skill, that is. Failin' that, and I won't hesitate to eradicate ya' usin' tactics I aint at all fully proud of usin'; and I will be successful."
That was a lot of bravado. Well, at least, if the other guy could hold back for a moment, it would certainly keep from drawing too much attention to their battle; most assassins appreciated secrecy, so this may have appealed to the other man. He was pretty honest about holding back, and, if things cam to worse, the other guy could probably just watch himself during the battle; professionals were good about that. It was a nice offer for both parts, and hopefully the other guy was cocky enough that he would be good enough to take the young technique master if they both held back their abilities to make the fight even; Argelia was hoping he wasn't so cocky as to put this sort of challenge to someone stronger than him.
The Pray had finally arrived. "Hey, stop for a minute." with this action, he feigned surprise. His skill in acting allowed the Major to play any part and to assume any role without sounding fake. His face was stone cold yet his body showed he was "nervous" that was when the other man began to talk. Failin' that, and I won't hesitate to eradicate ya' usin' tactics I aint at all fully proud of usin'; and I will be successful." The man mentally smiled, to think that he would ask for a "fair" fight and to "hold back." His arms slowly moved downards to how that he was not making any sudden movements.
"You and I both know why we are here." the mans voice was flat, it had no life or emotions to it, yet it was smooth, it was as if he was used to speaking to others in such a manner. It would be as if Gavin was talking to a simple robot that only followed key phrases. But this was just to show that he was not agictated or angry, and if the opponent is "calm" then they are "relaxed" but his acting skill was impeccable. "If we are to face in equal combat. Then I will simply put this away. Now you, dont make any sudden movements. This syringe was for you, dod you know that? If you had been here first then it would have poisoned you. And killed you quickly. But I see now that we are going to be fighting on an equal level." the mans eyes, though shielded by the aviators bored deep into the other mans eyes. Once those words were said he slowly slid the syringe into his pocket, as it descended into his pocket, he was sure to quickly seem like he dropped it in there, but really as it descended he turned the needle slightly towards the leg and with his strength and speed he could easily inject the needle into his body, inject, pull out the syringe, and remove his hand as if he simply dropped it.
There was no change in energy, there was no change in his outward appearance. He raised is hands again slowly before fixing his gloves, maintaining eye contact with the quincy. "Now we are at an agreement. And I will lower my arms. Slowly." With that he slowly moved his arms down. If his entire plan went well, with acting and his strength the other would not notice any changes. There was no changes, and even then he was told that it was a poison, why would a man inject poison into his own body? That was if his plan was found out, but with his speed and strength it should be flawless. With that he released Condensed muscles and his body became stronger, he became stronger and faster. What they both thought of the word "Professional" was different, so it seemed. Pavel had to end the fight as soon as possible, he had no time to spar, and even then. He was not cocky enough to believe if he held back that the opponent would do so to. Like Gavin, who did not believe in trust with strangers. So did Pavel, but the Major was good at faking emotions, he was good at hiding within sheeps clothes. The waves and the air outside continued to blow against the walls.
The foot steps of his military boots echoed off of the walls as he simply took a step forward 'Aside from raw skill, that is. Failin' that, and I won't hesitate to eradicate ya' usin' tactics I aint at all fully proud of usin'; and I will be successful.' If you are a mercenary. And you put your life on the line on a daily basis. Then you will survive." With his speed he immediately ran towards the quincy and extended his arm, with his speed, the Quincy's senses and instincts would not be able to keep up with how fast the man was going, with the extended arm he grabbed his face with near vice-like strength before before suddenly rearing his up and back then slamming the man into the concrete flood. "You assume that one is as arrogant as you expect to allow such words to lower someones guard." Pavel calmly said before raising his legs and slamming onto onto his back, it was not enough to kill the person, it was enough to send intense pain all over his body, but not to torture. "You assumed I hesitated to go full power. And you assumed you had the capability to do so." As he spoke this he kicked Gavin on the side to ensure he remained down before raising his leg again to slam his foot against the elbow of his left, with their strength difference, there was little the man should be able to do but experience his left arm being shattered in areas that connected the the arm together. "You stand against our interest and our justice. For this. You must die." the man finally said as he ground what remained of the elbow.

The world wasn't quite so black and white, and that was a fact that Gavin had learned well during his time alive. It was true that the other male was stronger, and fast, but there were things that he did not have that Gavin possessed. The man was not truly a warrior, for one, and had played a game in which he could not understand. No, of course he wouldn't believe that Gavin would be able to see through his deception, and in a way it was hard to do so, but at the same time he did not understand the battlefield. He could not understand the prospect of another being suspicious despite not being able to directly see the deception. That was the difference between a warrior and one who merely had power, a thinker and one who wormed his way to success using underhanded tactics; the difference between one who had saw countless battle after battle, for such a very long time, and had seen many like this man.
It would not go quite as well as he would like to have thought it was, and the old quincy would not simply be standing there and waiting on a reply without first opting to make his own form of security to ensure that he wouldn't be caught unawares.
Contrary to popular belief, lowering your arms and putting something in your pocket when dealing with an opponent WAS suspicious. In every single situation where a combatant held a weapon and was asked, through different means, not to use it, it was generally proper to drop it to the ground in full sight. That was the mistake of someone whose mind was not attuned to the battlefield, and was not sharpened in and of itself, and so the deception, if it may have sounded genuine, managed to arouse suspicion regardless. In any case, Gavin was already setting up his defenses, and had allowed his power to flow around him, increasing his spiritual abilities. This was the first stage, and it would help ensure that he wouldn't be taken so easily. This caused pain to flick across his face, and, if the other had known about his type, or had bothered to take attention off his ruse in order to actually be sure of himself, this would have been clearer, though with such weak spiritual sensory abilities, just like the release, this would be rather hard to actually gauge. He could feel the pain, though, which seemed to badly burn his skin, yet he was able to will himself through it.
It seemed both combatants were not sticking to the agreement fully; Gavin because he did not trust anyone, especially an assassin that would ambush him, and would use all this to keep himself from being taken so easily, and Pavel, who was a snake that employed deception in his trade. Both reasons were good, and both would notably amount to good results. Pavel was a good liar who could fool the best of them to think his actions were genuine, and in fact Gavin could have been fooled if not for his astounding perception, his knowledge of the battlefield, and his opponent's lack there of. This man before him could not understand basics facets of it all, and his actions did not properly line up with that which would be normally used; anyone who really fought on the front lines as a trade would know these things. Despite how good of a liar, an actor, he was, his actions simply didn't match up to what he SHOULD have done, and so his greenhorn applications could only go so far.
The barrier was already being setup. It wasn't a quick process, and the pain that came from it was terrible. Unlike Pavel, Gavin did not possess the ability to hide his pain to incredibly extents, yet that didn't seem to matter. A man who wasn't as analytical likely wouldn't understand what the pain was from, and would likely attribute that to some sort of bad condition, and nothing truly beneficial; especially given his insight in battle itself was destitute, along with his insight in picking up on details in general. Gavin was a master thinker, and his thoughts warned him; his knowledge of battle guided him to at least have an out. Frankly, as a combatant, allowing an enemy to tell you what something was seemed ridiculous, and his level of thinking outside of battle attributed to this. Despite how much it sounded real, despite all of this, it just didn't add up; it was sort of the equivalent of a known enemy telling you that the pill they have will make you stronger, and that it was meant to make them stronger, but they would not use it due to an agreement made; actually, it was almost parallel to this. Only a fool took things at face value. Deception only works when you get the details right, even if you DO sound convincing.
Yet, Gavin did not know the nature of that syringe. He did not know what plan this other man had. Perhaps he would attempt to use that syringe later on anyway, once they were fighting up close? The options were many. Despite that, he could remedy this by drawing a barrier around his body fully. He had opened the Gate. But not only that, he had called upon the barrier. The pain from this, admittedly, was fairly intense, yet he had willed himself to keep from buckling; he was used to this now, the pain, more than he was at the beginning, and so he could withstand it far better; yet, it was all still very hard. It was a wall, and it happened to take a bit to form. It was in front, just as the other man had long finished his speech and charged, only the result was far from what the other man expected.
Of course it would be.
He had no sense of battle.
No knowledge, no skill.
He was alone with his thoughts, and, sadly, he did not have the analytical skill outside of that to come to the conclusion in regards to what he did wrong.
Rei swirled around gavin, and he found himself drawing from it, resting, and then drawing again. He had to continue to add such power to his pool in order to keep his offense going.
Perhaps, if he was better at sensing energy, he would have noticed the charge of the barrier.
His body was tiring. He had to realize the issue. Yet...he couldn't buckle so easily.
In his hand formed a bow. It was strange for someone of his...condition to be able to do this, yet this wasn't your standard issue bow that any quincy could command. Nay, it was one that would work well for someone like him, who had both lost and foregone such abilities in favor of bettering themselves. He had begun to form this almost right after he had tried to form the barrier, while the other was talking, and now, fully charged and formed, he looked at the other at the end of the barrier, who may have been surprised after he ran into it.
He lazily raised the arm that had the bow, firing fifty arrows before lowering it. He wasn't very good at archery, certainly, but the proximity of him and his enemy along with the amount fired allowed him to not have to be that well versed. Someone that didn't have the mind of a warrior or the mind of a sharp thinker wouldn't be able to figure out exactly what happened so easily, certainly, and that sort of personality typed unfortunately fell in the lap of his opponent. That last bit of reiatsu expended barely bothered Argelia at all. Perhaps it would have been pertinent to have a mind that traveled through details quickly and easily, on and off the battlefield, as lacking both greatly limited battle proficiency; Gavin wished he could have snarked, but he had picked up on the lack of both those things through the actions of his own opponent. He had no interest in talking any further, as that deception alone made it fairly useless. For now, he would play out what would happen next. He was tired, and his body was sore, yet he still had the ability to keep going despite that. But...for how much longer?
Technique Description and Effects: Willpower is a technique that is available to most who dwell within the human world, and has a variety of effects that make it a versatile and useful technique. This technique is one that manifests the willpower of the physical body. It essentially causes spirit and physical body to "become one" and merge their powers. There are two uses of it. The first is a non battle use, and is the main use. The main use is simply to know the technique, which slows the aging process of the body and allows the possessor to live easily as long as a Shinigami or Arrancar. This is a will-based technique, however, and thus, if will vanishes, so does its power to stop the aging, which quickly catches up. Mod Souls and Bounts have a minor version of this part at all times, which allows them to age slowly at all times; humans and Quincy learn this version at Class 1.
Willpower has three stages that are associated with it, as listed below:
[Stage One: Cog]: By giving up 100 Reiatsu, the user pumps an explosive amount of intimidating power out. Anyone of inferior class will immediately be intimidated. This does not mean they won't fight. Those who are weak enough in comparison will feel a huge, exaggerated surge of power that will probably make them surrender. This can also be used on Hollows to actually scare them away instead of having to kill them. This does NOT work on animals! It only works on "intelligent beings." This means unless it has a similar to human intelligence, this wont' work on an animal.
[Stage Two: Pulley]: This causes physical output to increase based on draining spiritual energy. It costs 400 reiatsu. When activated, it increases physical stats by 50%. However, it causes the skin to begin to blister from pumped out Reiatsu. Essentially, skin begins to burn. It's a quick burn. Within 5 posts, burning will start to become quite serious. On top of that, statistic gain is lost by the post, starting after the second post of this being active. After that time, 10% of the gain is lost every post. It can only be restored by sacrificing 150 Reiatsu per 10%.
[Stage Three: Gate]: This has no initial cost. Reiatsu strength and Spiritual pressure (but NOT Reiatsu amount) both double. From there, reiatsu output goes up, meaning that costs are also doubled for everything. On top of that, 100 reiatsu is lost per post until this is deactivated.
Drawback: See each individual stage. Atop that, when Willpower is learned, it comes with all three stages, but costs double the TTP to learn. Humans, Mod Souls, Quincy, and Bounts only.
Technique Name: Energy Generate: Barrier
Class: 2
Technique Type: Human World Dweller Technique
Usable By: Anything that can use Energy Generate
Technique Element: Other
Technique Description and Effects: A fairly simple Energy Generate technique, developed to be used by any and all beings who can use the technique. This is a defensive Energy Generate technique, evidenced by its title. Upon activation, one manipulates their reiatsu in order to form a spherical barrier around ones self. The barrier is large enough that it encompasses the users entire body. Being a sphere it grants complete protect on all sides. Its power is dependent on ones reiatsu strength. Though, for half the cost of a class 3 technique the user can perform a half barrier to protect them, which would basically be a wall curving around them.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): Focus your reiatsu and then imagine it forming a circle around you.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) Cost. While the barrier is active, the user cannot actually move. While they can still launch attacks from within the barrier (which just fly out, as attacks go out but cannot go in), they loose their ability to move. Basically, movement speed is 0 while within the barrier (they can still turn, move their arms, etc they just basically cannot become mobile). Full-Barrier lasts for 3 posts. If the Half-Barrer is used, one can still move, but it only lasts a single post. While the barrier is designed to block anything of smaller stats than it, if an enemy strikes with any offensive stat (Str, RS, SppR) greater than the users then the barrier breaks. After use, the technique cannot be used for three posts (half barrier must wait two posts before reuse) Costs double the amount of TTP to learn.
Made By: Some random Fullbringer
Reserved? (Yes/No): No
Technique Name: Eigenschaft
Class: 4
Technique Type: Quincy Technique
Technique Element: Unknown
Technique Description and Effects:If Final Silence is not active while the technique is in use then the Technique will spawn it's own bow for the Quincy to use. This bow will have one property that has been selected by the Quincy upon activation on the technique. The technique cannot but used multiple times at once. Only a handful of properties are available for the Quincy to choose from. The options to choose from are: 50, Single Bounce, Explode, Lightning, Fire, Ice, Top Class, or Undetectable.
50- 50 arrows can be fired from the bow at once. Single Bounce- The arrows will bounce one time before they become active. Explode- Causes an explosion upon impact. Lightning- Causes things to be shocked and electrified. Fire- Causes things to burn and be set to flames. Ice- Causes things to freeze and sometimes even shatter. Top Class- All arrows are treated as the class of the Quincy using the technique. Each arrow costs only the price of a class 7 arrow. Undetectable- This makes arrows unable to be sensed, and also renders them invisible.
How to use technique: The Quincy focuses his or her reiatsu into their hand just as they would a bow, the property doesn't require the users full attention to maintain, the requirement is the reaitsu cost per post.
Drawback: The technique costs 150 reaitsu per post it's active. Made by: Cupid
And at that moment his hand collided against a force stronger than his, a barrier? A way to repel attacks? This did not matter, when the attack did not do what he wanted done, Pavel chose to play on another advantage he had over this opponent, what he did not know about Pavel was that he had another way around barriers, while it seemed that this technique protected the user against tangible attacks, not everything Pavel had was immediately tangible. Because the forms were almost instantanious to take effect, Pavel changed the parts of his lungs to become more elastic, stronger, and changed his vocal chords to withstand more pressure. As the Quincy formed his bow, Pavel immediately took a large inhale of air and screamed with intense force, this was not a regular scream as the opponents body would feel. Because of his senses, and because of they fought indoors, the Quincy would be hit with sound. His ears would ring intensely and his head would hurt immensely immediately afterwards, but this scream lasted for a good while, why Pavel was not affected? It was because during this time, the man was able to make himself deaf during the scream. Another effect this being would notice was that the scream itself was attacking the barrier, soundwaves was attempting to force its way through with strengths equal to the biological weapon.
Another issue with the barrier is how short it lasted, because the man did not have the right skill to focus through the pain, to focus through the headache and focus through the ringing, he would be unable to react immediately. As Pavel stopped screaming, he immediatly raised his leg and slammed it against the concrete around them, With the intense strength that Pavel would have, it would create a disasterous shockwave that would cause the ground around them to become unstable and even explode around them, the warehouse that they were fighting in became no more. The explosion did not consist of fire and heat, but the force was capable of decimating everything around the two. This person would not be able to attack with his fifty arrows, the arrows would never leave his bow, and this person should not be able to escape with his focused having been taken due to pain and ringing. But there was a downside to Pavel's tactic, if the person was still fully functioning after suffering through the ringing, the headache and the shockwave, Pavel would have temprarily lost sight of him.
That was if he did not rely on the fact that his strength alone could be able to push all of the dust away, the temporary cloud that gave the Quincy sollace would quickly disappear as Pavel quickly spread his arms and clapped his hands together, this fighting was puting a strain on his body, as he fought and he moved intsenly, steam began to exit his body. When his hands clapped together with such intense force, the cloud around the epicenter would dissappear, along with sending another physical soundwave around. The warehouse was no longer there, its clutter and insides spread all over the ground and water, exposing some of the cluter, engine parts, pieces of boats, heavy equipment, light equipment. Now that he was aware of what could be used, this fight would get even more intense. Pavel stood up and removed the sunglasses from his face and peeled back the cap on his head. He closed his eyes for a second before using his strength to jump out from the epicenter to another location.
Deeper within the docks he was surrounded with large cargo crates, shipping containers and cranes. This would also be an area that would be full of useful things to fight against an opponent. Immediately Pavel charged into an orange container, pealing the metal away as if it was the simple peel of a banana. and search the insides, inside was an intact honda civic with all of its parts in the right place, he immediately punched his arm into the hood and removed the engine, carrying it out effrotlessly, waiting to see if the opponent had pursued him deeper into the docks, and away from what remained of the warehouse. "Valentina, watch over my fight." the man silently thought to himself.
[OOC] Due to senses and the fact that they were indoors, the ringing and the headache have doubled. Meaning the ringing will last for 8 posts and the headache will last for 16. Also I am assuming the docks look like this?

Gavin was hit with an ear-splitting shock. He wasn't immediately aware of what happened until he found himself blown back, the building destroyed, and his body underneath a piece of on of the large walls of the warehouse; the only thing that kept him from immediately dying was his own super strength and his instinct to curl into a ball, tensing his muscles. He could still feel the ringing, but he pushed the piece of wall of of him, locking his eyes shut as the sound of it hitting the ground only aggravated the pain he was already feeling. It was unfortunate, this, that he was dealing with a brute. Likely, he would have been able to deal with other, less incredibly powerful fighters; still, he felt fairly good about the fact that they had sent someone so strong after him; it was touching, really.
He eventually managed to get up, feeling the blood run down his forehead and down his right eye. Yes, he was broken and bruised, in yet he did not immediately die or find himself incapable of movement. He was not ready for the feats that allowed one to simply clack their hands and launch a shockwave, as well as the feat that allowed the foe to create a soundwave, which, he was sure now, was the cause of this damned ringing that plagued him greatly; it was only his intense willpower that kept him going, and kept him from fainting, even though his reaction time was understandably greatly reduced. How unfortunate. He had wondered, at the back of his mind, who had sent such a powerful fighter after him. This wasn't your run of the mill muscle head; he had abilities that went far being that, and, honestly, Gavin was unsure that he could match such a man in the state he was in.
But, with every fighter there was a weakness; one merely had to find it. Surely all that high powered flexing of strength and speed, as well as the activation and continuation of his abilities, whatever they may be, would tire this one out quickly? Little did Gavin know, them man was already one who suffered from a weak constitution despite his physical durability, and so his actions would perhaps lead to misfortune.
Gavin stumbled through the wreckage, attempting to find a place to catch himself, bumping into walls and using pieces to support himself as he moved on. While he normally he would have been able to make the same large jump the assassin had, he simply couldn't use up his stamina on something like that, and instead took it slow as he moved deeper within the docks.
Eventually, he saw him again, though this time he lacked those glasses from before. This man was a terrible assassin; he had no concept of secrecy, it seemed. When one hired an assassin, they generally did not want this fact to be made clear, and often times the ones who have connections to those with this much power are easy to have these people connected to them. Plenty of people had scattered, and Gavin was sure that some that were near the warehouse once the other man released that shockwave lost their lives; in fact, there they were, right there, their faces confused and their soul chains visible.
How unfortunate.
He fixed the other man with a defiant glare, despite what shape he was in, and he grit his teeth as he realized that he would likely lose his life to this fool; if Gavin retreated, it was likely that this man would follow, and given the lack of care this man displayed for the lives of those not involved and the world around him, that would end fairly terribly.
"I don't understand..." The mercenary spat blood out of his mouth. It was clear that the injuries he suffered were fairly substantial. "I don't even know why you're here...who sent you? At least if you're here to kill me, tell me this..."
Knowing these things lacked much importance, truthfully. Still, Gavin was always curious about others, especially those with power, and he would not wish to die without figuring out at least that much. However, Gavin did not believe for a second that the other man would tell him; an assassin, even those who did not understand all facets of the profession, generally followed the code of keeping their employer a secret, and often didn't bother giving a reason for their actions.
The ringing in his ears was easing slightly. It was getting slightly easier to manage, though not by any amount that was especially noticeable.
Pavel was not like the cookie cutter Assassin, while some assassins prefer to use shadows to block them from the view of the world, Pavel could remain hidden in plain view. While they relied on anonymity, Pavel could lie through his teeth, act like a compltely different person, and become a whole new personality as if it was his second nature, this was because it was his second nature. He was not an assassin that hid in the shadows. He would assassinate the target, most of the time they had thought he was a part of their organization or on their side. But in reality, he never really was on their side. Pavel was never a traditional assassin. He was the kind of person that would be able to kill in plain view and disappear into a crowed.
As the target appeared to slowly and pitifully hobble his way towards the Major, the words called out towards him. "I don't even know why you're here...who sent you? At least if you're here to kill me, tell me this..." "Nikto. This is nothing personal. Tol'ko rabota." As he spoke those words, Pavel immediately threw the engine into Gavin's location. This would allow Pavel the liberty of checking where he was, his body was sweating and steam was slowly beginning to work its way out of his body. He was becoming exhausted. The engine soared towards Gavin as Pavel began to mumble something. "YA molyus' za vashu dushu , chto ono budet polucheno takzhe." A prayer for his soul, a prayer for both of their souls. Pavel had to end it as soon as he can, with that he began to ran but immediately jumped an incredible height into the air before using airground in the middle of the air to fullbring step off of the created platform and into the concrete ground. This would result in an even larger explosion to occur.
At the pace he was going to, Pavel would become exausted soon, his body was steaming, and his pores were sweating. But with the brutality he was able to dish out, most fights should not last too long to the point where he had to release his secondary fullbring. "There is no point in wishing for a painful death." the crater created from the sheer strength and speed he was going to would have been incredibly massive. "Surrender Now. And I will allow you a fast and painless death."[/.color] this was not what Pavel meant. an opponent like this deserves to be placed onto the trophy rack. His skull and his spine ripped from the body and nailed along with the others who fell before him.
He flex his legs and lept out of the crater, there were more parts, more pieces, and containers sprawled all over the battle field, this allowed Pavel to know where his opponent was and where what he could use as his weapon against the Quincy. An opponent known to have been a thorn in Xcutions side, a pain in their profits, there was no toying, no playing, there was not a single doubt that if either of them allowed their guard to go down slightly. Then it would result in their deaths. Pavel was an Xcution Major. He was a soldier, someone who could be anyone in a crowed. He was deadly.

Good game, very well played to both of you!
Item Name: Tarot of Terror (4/22): The Wire
Item Type: Tarot Trump
Item Description: Legends speak of the Tarot of Terror, a strange deck of cards with potent effects. Made up only of the Major Arcana, also known as the Trumps, these cards aren’t like any other known Tarot deck, as they have different symbols and meanings. This one is the number 4 card, associated with commitments, promises, and other binding forces. Typically, it describes not physical limitations, but ones that arise due to personal relationships. Inverted, it represents the danger of being unattached. It can be used in Tarot readings, if one has at least 75% of the deck in their possession, in order to give accurate readings of the future.
However, this card also has a combat use other than just being able to help read the future. In combat, this item acts as a consumable, usable once per thread, and never in DE threads. If the card is imbued with reiatsu, the next entity that it touches (other than the one that imbued it), is ensnared by a mass of strange, metal wires that burst out of the card. Imbuing the card costs 150 reiatsu, and the card vanishes upon use this way, although it’ll appear in the wearer’s pockets after the thread is over.
When someone is ensnared by the wires, it is nigh impossible for them to move, and all their limbs are bound closely to the wires. The wires require at least 650 strength to break out of physically, and have a durability of 650 for purposes of determining what attacks they can tank. Breaking out of the wires is somewhat of a priority, however, because if someone fails to do so, after 3 posts the wires start constricting them, causing 500 strength worth of pressure all over the afflicted person’s body, typically killing them rather quickly. However, the wires fade from existence 2 posts after they begin to constrict the target, meaning that if the target can survive for 5 posts while bound, they are freed. Additionally, final level releases automatically cause all wires to snap.
