Thread Title: Showcase Match: A Smiling Calamity Participants: Taien Hadohou, Takashi Kuchiki World: Hueco Mundo Death Setting: Non Death Enabled Rating: R Location: The white crystal sands of Hueco Mundo blow softly with the breeze, and light from it's perpetual moon glistens off of each airborne grain. The dunes outside of the great fortress of Las Noches extend quite some distance away, and the present combat is going to take place a little over a mile away from the main palace. Special Conditions: First post is whoever does so first. Winner will receive a custom item. Other than that, this match is a normal PvP, no holds barred. It is worth noting that this thread will not affect the outside canon, such as with faction points, or plot development (unless all members are okay with it doing so). Circumstances: Takashi Kuchiki, the traitor of Soul Society, the left hand of Sonken Kouhai, is one of Soul Societies most wanted men. The former Vice Captain of the 11th Division has numerous factions and powerful people, including a ZEI, after him. However, it appears that the first one to get to him, to draw him out of his hiding spot and face him in combat, is none other than the smiling Vice Captain of the Kido Corps, Taien Hadohou, who made the journey to Hueco Mundo himself, under orders to eliminate Takashi. Who is more powerful? Who can break who? That is what this battle will determine.

The white desert that was Hueco Mundo was disturbed slightly by a gentle, blowing breeze. The massive, towering, imposing structure of Las Noches, along with a few 'trees' here and there were the only things to break the monotony of the vast, all encompassing desert. Along with a few random Hollows dotting the vast expanse, hunting, stalking, surviving... It was a vast, empty world for the most part, though. Two factions had seen fit to base themselves here, however, for that very reason: The fortress of Las Noches, under the Traitor-King Sonken Kouhai, leader of the Espada and an ally of Hell, as well as the elusive Escudo, Hueco Mundo's sole rebel faction, fighting against Kouhai and his lackeys.
Hueco Mundo was a dangerous place to be, let alone even attempt to infiltrate. The presence of the Arrancar army of Sonken Kouhai kind of made the danger factor of the place shoot up rather drastically. If they so much as detected someone, or something, being sent in to close proximity of the large palace. Whatever came through would be 'greeted' with a 'warm welcome'. Well, they'd be rather warm after close proximity with massive amounts of Cero and Bala, anyway. With a more or less literal army of Arrancar at Las Noches' disposal, trying to get anywhere close to it, especially with a portal or some such, was less than a brilliant idea.
Fortunately, the people running the Seireitei were, in fact, not idiots, and dropped Taien off a goodly ways away from the palace, with as little Reiatsu emissions as possible, and only had the portal open for a short amount of time. The japanese style doors opened, dropped Taien out, and then promptly ctr alt deled themselves out of existence, as if they were never even there... Taien stood up from his drop site, bringing him up to his full height of five eleven or so, underneath one of the most useful pieces of equipment he had even had the pleasure to purchase; a Shihoin made Reiatsu Concealment Cloak, which perfectly hid even his massive amount of Reiatsu.
Taien was here for one reason and one reason alone: Hunt down the fugitive traitor of the Kuchiki Family, Takashi Kuchiki, the new 'Left Hand of Las Noches'. Hunt him down, eliminate the target, and then get out of there. Possibly take some proof Takashi Kuchiki was really killed as well. One of them was, probably, going to die today, and Taien was going to make sure it wasn't himself. So he brought along all of his toys. Underneath his cloak, and his Shinakusho, Taien was wearing his Uzaki Enterprises made 'super suit', the MKIII version of it. Along with that, he had the MKIV Gauntlets, and the MKIII version of the Air Cannons.
Taien had a singular Ice Gun as well, his Carrier Belt as well, which held a singular Water Aura Orb, along with two Metal Aura Orbs, along with two Glove Model Hidden Blades. Taien also had his two 'watches', his F.O.R.M watch and his Soul Gauge. Taien also had the lump of metal that was his Convert-A-Weapon stashed away in one of his many pockets. With all that said and done, it was time to find his target. Seeing as he couldn't use Reiatu techniques at the moment, for fear of alerting his target to his presence, Taien began the trek to the large palace. He'd stop when he was a little over a mile away from the area, and then he'd wait. And wait. And wait some more if needed. He could be patient, after all...

(sorry for the lateness in response, my bad. I'll speed up from now.)
The Kuchiki ex-shinigami was wandering through the white desert. He felt the crystals of sand against his feet. There were impressions upon the ground as he continued to make his way forward; pushing on wards. The Kuchiki was accustomed to traveling these desolate lands. Takashi would frequently wander around here. He made sure to wear a long brown tarp with a hood over his current attire. Underneath, he wore his hair as per usual. The kuchiki had tied the pony tail and his bangs were just hanging. In addition, he wore the black old shinigami uniform. Above it, there was a grey coat that was stitched in random places. This was due to Takashi's fights that he had beforehand. He didn't pay much attention to it, however, he made sure to keep his Zanpakuto at his side. It seemed he still had limited use of the Melee Hana, as they were slowly disappearing. He could feel them slowly leaving him.
If he had engaged in a fight here, he would be able to utilize things but it would be one of the last; if not the last. In any case, the reason he was out here was simply due to him collecting samples. There had been some unique hollow that had been appearing as of late. For his own research, Takashi made sure to try and find these hollow. He was currently studying up more on Garganta and hollowfication, through evolution of course. For now, he was simply scouring the white desert to find any traces of some higher level Vasto Lord or hollows with unusual properties. Takashi really didn't have much to do, hell he just wanted to wander around the desert. The ex-shinigami would continue to pace around with no real motivation or goal. His entire idea was to simply continue to transverse the desert. He had hoped he would find at least someone to make conversation with; that was really all he wanted.
Takashi seemed more distant than usual, things on his mind. His blue dull eyes continued to wander around as he looked out towards the sea of sand that stood before him. Behind him were only prints that would fade away with the blowing winds; no one would even remember. He let out a heavy sigh, it was always a pain in the ass to try and find places to sleep. After all, it was too easy to get assassinated where he was before. He still needed to get stronger after that battle with Kuroi. He figured surviving out in this wild would do a better job of toughening him up. For now, he would push on, finding his way to some sanctuary or in the hunt for some sort of person who could give him some entertainment for once.

... Day five. No sign of target yet. Continuing observa- waitaminute!
Taien had been waiting in the dunes for around five days now, give or take a few minutes. That had been one long stakeout duty, it was a good thing he was supplied with a good few weeks of rations. It wasn't like he'd just happen upon his target on the first day, though that would definitely have been good fortune. Luckily for Taien, he didn't have to wait weeks on end as he patiently awaited his target's arrival. Well, he was pretty sure it was his target. It could be Kouhai's other henchman, his Right Hand, or it could be some random Arrancar walking around in a brown cloak. Taien had to take the risk, though; if it was his target, and he let him go, the days wasted waiting here would be... well, wasted.
It had been an interesting five days, to be sure though. The first day was kind of boring, nothing really happened. The second day, though, a group of Hollows had passed by him. Lucky for Taien, they didn't notice him, due to him covering his mette black Shihoin cloak in the white sands of the desert. They didn't even know what hit them when Taien sprung a trap on them, taking them out with a Kyakko'd Sokkatsui that rapidly burned out after it exploded them. Luckily, nothing came after that, so it didn't seem like anyone had sensed him.
Third and fourth days were mostly the same, except for some weird... Arrancar? Hollows? He wasn't quite sure what they were. They weren't any good though, that much Taien knew. He had taken them out in a similar way to the first batch. Except they didn't quite die as they were supposed to. It resulted in a rather quick fire-fight between Taien and the odd Arrancar/Hollow/Things, due to them being damaged from Taien's hidden explosive. Taien had changed position the moment it was over, to make sure that if anyone investigated the area, they wouldn't have been able to tell who it was.
And then came this day... Day five. The day he finally found his target. Hopefully. In either case, he'd test this individual as well. Except, well, more so. If it was his target, he'd need to be a bit more through in his assault. Still laying on the ground, and under some sand to conceal his black cloak, Taien pushed his hand futher down in to the sands, making as little sound as he could. He was a good distance away from the other cloaked figure, so unless he had freakishly good hearing, which he shouldn't have, then Taien would probably be good. From his submerged hand, Taien mentally cast two Kidou; Sokkatsui and Kyakko. The Sokkatsui was Reformatted in to the shape of a shark, that would 'swim' deep underneath the sands to make sure it wouldn't be detected. It was also kind of huge.
So, there was a giant fiery shark thing now under the sands. Taien only slightly reacted to the pain, a shallow wince of his eyes closing a little. He could manage that. Now, there was a giant, invisible shark underneath the sand, 'swimming' at Takashi. Or, probably Takashi. Either way, even if it wasn't him, and it was just a random Arrancar or something, blowing them up would still probably be a good idea. Anyway, as the shark was getting in to position, Taien activated another Kidou, just in case something caused the hooded person to come over by him. Around him, in a wide circle, an invisible 'plate' was placed. If one were able to look at it from above, it would look sort of like an ovular donut or something.
This was a Sokkatsui as well, also under a Kyakko to make it both invisible and undetectable. The purpose for this Sokkatsu was different; if someone were to step on it, it would blow them up. Simple as that.
When the shark-kidou-thing was in position, Taien would cause it to erupt upwards in a Jaws-like scene, attempting to 'bite' and eat maybe-Takashi. If he (assuming it was a 'he') somehow deduced Taien's position and current situation, the ring of Sokkatsui would explode upwards. Taien had left enough room for himself that he wouldn't be blasted by the Sokkatsui, though his ears would probably be ringing from the explosion going off so close to his face. Whelp. Nothing left to do but wait to see how this played out from here... and then strike.
Remaining Reiatsu: 5700/6000

The white haired shinigami continued to pace forward, he was so bored today. Really, all he wanted to do was talk to someone; was that really too much to ask for? As he walked, he felt something strange as he continued to pace forward. There was a rumbling under his feet; sigh, not this again. Takashi simply hopped off his left foot upwards. Judging by the shaking of the ground under him, it was probably a big creature. He was thrown into the air as he looked down towards the ground underneath him. The ring was described to be wide and around him, Takashi simply had to leap upwards to avoid it. His white hair began to flutter in the wind as he gazed down upon the creature that would erupt. It was far too big for him to avoid in the air.
The shark was just about to rise, going to hit the plate which would detonate it along with the shark; blasting them both into a large explosion. With a stepping plat form that formed, he was gone, pushing at high speeds. The air behind him was cut, allowing for him to make a quick escape. He stood nearly 30 meters away from the kido. He blinked, as the shark would have hit the ring and exploded into a rather large blast. Takashi simply blinked, he looked as bored as ever; yet another assassination attempt eh? This was such a pain in the ass.
"If you wish to attack me, I'd like it very much if you'd properly introduce yourself". The Kuchiki called out to his opponent. He hadn't even drawn his sword yet. He was simply standing there with his hands in his pockets. He let out a soft sigh. "I will admit it gets quite lonesome around these parts; the atmosphere being so...dull." There was a pause. "Kuchiki Takashi, though I assume by the attempt that you know who I am.". He said to the other man casually.
