Hotaru watched him rubbing the back of his neck. It looked like her comments flattered him. Well, she spoke the truth. There weren't many people she felt this comfortable around. She could count the number on her hands once it was that few. But, he now made this list. This Arrancar was much different from what she was led to believe other Arrancar were like. It was nice.
After he paid for their meal, he got out of the booth and helped her out of her seat. He told her thanks for her words and that she was great to be around too. He was glad to spend time with her and that definitely made her blush. He then turned towards her with a huge smile on his face. He then asked what she wanted to do now. "As I've said before, Zegram, I don't know this world as much as you. The most I've ever done here is eat at little cafes and watch human 'television' through store windows. I've never done more than that. But, I am curious as to what a 'movie theater' is."
"Movies are basically long tv shows. Instead of a bunch of fifteen minute shows interrupted with commercials, its an hour and a half to three hours of entertainment without any interruptions. I grew up when they were starting to get big. They used to show a cartoon short before the main event, but it seems that they stopped doing that." He said as he turned them to go to the theater. He was glad that they ate first for another reason. Theater snakes were over priced out the ass, and people thought that Arrancars were monsters.
They arrived at the theater after a few minutes of walking. There were several movies that a lot of people wanted to go see. A movie about transforming robots, a giant lizard, and a couple of romance film, and romantic comedies. He didn't really care what they saw. He would like to see the more action orientated shows, but he was always up to see a chick flick with a lovely woman. He looked at her nodding for her to pick the film. "What do you want to go see."

She listened intently to what he said about movies. So, those weird things that stop the story in a television show was called a 'commercial.' It all made sense now. No wonder they just yelled out brand names for no reason. He said that a 'movie' is a long television show with no commercials. It was an interesting idea to watch something and not get interrupted like that. A cartoon short would be cool before these 'movies' but she was sad when he said they don't do it anymore.
He then turned them and walked towards what she assumed would be a 'theater.' Once they got there, it definitely wasn't what she would consider a theater. But, she lived in the olden times and they've definitely moderned it up a bit. Once they got there, she looked at all the big pictures that were on the wall. She assumed these pictures are what movies they were showing.
She had watched a show about a giant lizard named Godzilla terrorizing Tokyo. She watched a little bit and thought it was funny. The whole premise behind the movie and everything. But, she had to admit, the transforming robots really caught her attention. The thought itself was intriguing to say the least. She turned towards Zegram and gave a smile. "I think the transforming robot movie would be a good one to watch."
Zegram nodded turning to the ticket booth to get the tickets, but he had to stop and retrieve Hotaru who stood looking at the posters outside. He grab her hand and gently pulled her along getting the tickets. They walked into the lobby of the theater and right across from them was the concession stand with lines of people. He never understood how people were willing to pay the same amount for a full meal at a nice restaurant for a bucket of popcorn and a few other things most people eat before the movie even starts. He handed the tickets to the next employee who told them which theater to go to and to enjoy the movie.
Zegram guided her to what he though was the best place on the theater. The middle of the row second from the top. From that point he could look at the center of the screen with his neck relaxed. They arrived thirty minutes early so they could get the good seats before anyone else. Before long people started trickling in. They found their seats and chatted amongst themselves several of them still texted on their cell phones. He didn't let it bother him since the movie hadn't started, but he hated it when they did it during the film.
Next the families started pouring in filling the remaining seats quickly. He personally got annoyed with children fairly quickly. They were just so loud and annoying and never shut up. It was tempting for him to grab one by the shirt and fling him or her at the screen, but he had to refrain from harming anyone while Hotaru was around. He didn't want to look bad in front of her.
The lights dimmed and the trailers for the movies that haven't come out yet started to play. Most people had already shut off their phones and were quiet at this point, but there was still the odd one or two phones shining brightly in the darkness. He decided to give them a little longer since it was only the trailers. Once the movie started they should be done with their business.

Once he agreed to the movie, he started to walk away towards a booth. Hotaru continued to stare at the pictures. They were so big and pretty she just stood there, not knowing what to do next. He looked back towards her, came back over and took her by the hand and led her to the ticket booth. Well, she know knew she needed to follow anyone she went to the movies with to this 'ticket booth.' She would remember that.
After they bought tickets, she followed him inside. She saw people standing in long lines for what looked like food. She looked up at the little board with all the prices and those were ridiculous. They could easily just go to a restaurant before hand and save some money. Then, Zegram gave their tickets to the next employee they ran into and he told them where to go.
Once they reached the appropriate doors, they walked inside and she was a little flabbergasted. The screen they were going to watch on was huge! She was guided to seats and he picked out the middle of the row second from the top. Once she sat, she knew he picked good seats. They could easily watch the screen without too much discomfort. They had some small talk before she noticed other people coming in.
She watched all the people come in and when the noisy children came in, she really hoped they weren't like this during the movie. If they did, she would want to throw them through the screen. But, she was pretty sure Zegram wouldn't like that. Then, she watched previews of other movies. She was just amazed at everything that was going on. It was so amazing to her. Then, she waited for the movie to start with lots of excitement.
The movie started after one more reminder to turn off all cell phones and to please not talk during the movie. While the trailers were going, Zegram had already pegged which people were going to ignore the reminder of common courtesy. Just around them there were a couple in front of them that kept texting on their phones. He could practically read everything they were texting they had their screens so bright. He would have to deal with them if they persisted during the movie.
There was also a family with two smallish children in the back row to their left. The boy and girl would constantly bicker about some trivial matter. Once it was about how the boy stole some of the girl's candy and then the girl did the same thing back. Then they would complain about the movie not starting fast enough. If it was one thing with them it was another. He took a deep steadying breath and relaxed smiling at Hotaru.
The movie finally started and it didn't take long for the action to already start. Every now and then two flashes of light would distract him from what was going on causing him to miss something. He had seen this movie already, but that still wasn't an excuse. It happened several more times, and by now Zegram was done being patient. He stepped forward out of his seat and stuck his head between the couple.
"Hey, some of us are trying to enjoy the film, and you are making it very difficult to do that. I will kindly ask you once to shut off your phones." He had a menacing presence about him that didn't take anyone with spirit awareness to feel. His eyes promised death to them if they did not comply practically glowing with inner rage that his polite face did not show. They both nodded and shut down their phones. "Thank you." He whispered a nice polite expression on his face before taking his seat again glad that business was taken care of.

Hotaru watched the previews in awe. All the marvels that humans have accomplished in her time away was on the miraculous side. She kept noticing the bright light from the phone screens of a few people in front of her. Then, the lights dimmed down and there was another warning to turn off cell phones and not talk during the movie. She checked her phone and made sure it was at least on silent. She couldn't turn it all the way off.
She heard bickering behind her from some children, but she tried to ignore it. She looked over to Zegram and noticed that Zegram was taking one of her patented deep, steadying breaths before relaxing at smiling at her. He obviously felt the same way towards those children as she did. She smiled back towards him and got comfortable in her seat. She was getting so excited she almost jumped in her chair.
Then, the movie started. She also started to yell out when all the action started fairly early in the movie. But, due to the reminder at the beginning, she contained herself, just bouncing a little bit in her chair. She noticed the bright screens while she tried to watch the movie. It was starting to annoy her and it seemed to annoy Zegram as well. She watched as he actually walked over to the couple.
He stuck his head between them and said some words to them and then they immediately shut their phones. She was rather impressed. Once he walked back to their seats and sat down, she leaned over to him. She whispered only loud enough for him to hear. "Nice going, Zegram. What did you do, show off your snake teeth to get them to turn off their phones? That would be funny." She backed off, smiled at him and then got comfortable in her chair again, watching the movie.
Zegram just chuckled and continued to watch the movie. It wasn't the best movie he had ever seen. The story was all over the place, the action was over the top, and the characters were stereotypes. But there was one thing that he couldn't deny about the movie was that it was still fun to watch. Sometimes you need to just watch something blow up and just take in the goofy nature of the movie. He wondered what Hotaru thought about the movie, but knew that he could always ask her when they stepped out.
The movie ended about an hour and a half or two hours later. Time really did seem to fly by when watching a movie. The credits started to roll and everyone started to leave. Zegram remained in his seat for a short while longer to let the crowds clear off before they left. He turned to Hotaru with a smile on his face. It was defiantly different from a normal tv show and hoped that it wasn't too big a step too quick.
"So what did you think of our first movie?" He asked, as he stretched his arms and legs out. He popped his neck a few times before moving on to his knuckles. He wondered what time it was. He hopped that the sun was starting to go down. It always sucked being blinded by the sun when coming out of the theater.

Hotaru heard him chuckle while, she was getting herself comfortable again. While she watched this movie, her eyes were big the entire time. She had never seen anything like this before. It was so amazing and wonderful and lots of other adjectives she couldn't think of at that moment. She just stared at the screen in awe, like the first time she watched television. She started to hold her hands up and punch with the movie with the fight scenes.
She whooped it up during the good action moments (quietly of course) and was just all around loving the movie. The ending was sad and she did tear up a little bit. At the end of the movie, she sat with Zegram, just trying to take it all in. It was the most awesome experience she's had since she came back to the human world. Once Zegram got up, he turned to her and smiled. She smiled back and got up with him.
He asked her how the movie was while stretching out. She stretched out as well, moving her limbs and hands to get them flexible again. She then looked at him and smiled really big. "As the humans say, 'O.M.G.' Zegram, that 'movie' was freaking amazing! It was one of the most wonderful things I've ever seen! And they show more than just this one?! Humans truly have advanced and I love it! I want to see all of them now!"
Zegram laughed calming the shinigami with a hand on her shoulder. He enjoyed every moment of her company. He never really knew what to expect from her at any given time. It was a nice change of pace from some of the..."easier" women that he had accompanied. Zegram opened the door out of the theater. Lucky for them it was already dark, so they would not be blinded by the sun this time. That got him wondering how she would react to that situation. He chuckled again before answering her.
"Easy there, save some of that anticipation for our next outing. We don't want you to be burned out on movies so soon after being introduced to them." He knew that sometimes movies could get a little repetitive and predictable, but he hoped to offset that with her infrequent visits to the town. "I guarantee you that the next time we meet, I will take you to another movie." He smiled down at her, as they walked through the streets.
The streets were pretty empty with the exception of a few juvenile delinquents taking advantage of the darkness, and the late night workers and night owls. Zegram looked up at the stars which were obscured slightly by the lights of the town. He had an idea to finish off the day with. "Come on, I know a place you must see." He jumped up to the roof tops running fast to the outskirts of town.
As they left Karakura Town they entered a hilly area where the only thing that light the night sky was the stars themselves. There were countless stars above their heads. Each seemed to sparkle with its own life and light. He stopped on top of one of the larger hills and laid on his back. He motioned for her to lay down with him as he looked up at the night sky. He loved to look up at the sky sometimes and just think. "It's truly a beautiful sight isn't it?" He asked her absently.

She watched Zegram laugh while putting a hand on her shoulder. She stopped and looked at him. It really seemed like he liked hanging out with her. She never thought an Arrancar could actually be like this. It was the weirdest thing she ever thought she would be doing. But, when Zegram opened the door, she was grateful that the sun was already gone. She really didn't want to think about how she would react with that.
He then told her to take it easy and to save some of that anticipation for their next outing. It felt good that he wanted to hang out with her again. He said that he didn't want her burned out on movies right after being introduced to them. He did bring up a good point. That would be a bad thing. He did say that he guaranteed that the next time they would meet, he would take her to a movie. That made her smile at him while he smiled at her.
They were walking through the empty streets, enjoying the quiet of the city. It was for this reason that she liked taking night patrols of this city. There weren't that many people out on the streets and she could really enjoy the peacefulness of the city. It seemed he had the same idea and was staring up at the stars. He then told her that he knew a place she had to see. It got her curious, so she followed after him.
She noticed that they were leaving the town and entering a place that had many hills. It seemed so serene outside of the city, she enjoyed the area. She looked and all the stars that she could see was a lot more than in the town. It also seemed like the only light they were getting were from the stars. He stopped on a large hill, laid down and motioned for her to lay down. He was looking up at the sky saying that it's a truly beautiful sight. She sat down next to him and did the same thing he did to her, she laid down across his stomach/chest area. "Yeah, it is beautiful."
Zegram looked down at her when she laid down on his chest. He put his hand over hers gently as they both stared up at the stars. He didn't want this moment to end. Everything just seemed to be perfect. A beautiful woman laying on is body, the stars shining down on them, and the moon was full. His eyes widened as he looked up seeing the full moon shining down like a second sun. He sighed rubbing his eyes with his other hand.
He knew that tonight he would need to go back to Huaco Mundo. That would mean back to the world of darkness and bleakness, and hallows. It just comes with being an arrancar, he thought closing his eyes. He just wanted this moment to last a little longer. After a few moments of silence, Zegram sat up slowly allowing Hotaru to move her head.
"I am sorry to say that it is time for me to return to my own world." He said with a saddened tone. He pushed his fedora back on his head and stood up looking out to the town that they just left before looking back at Hotaru. "I had a lot of fun today, I can't wait till I am able to come back and see you again." He smiled wider as he blushed slightly.
He looked up at the sky as it seemed to tear and come apart and a large moth like hallow came out from the abyss of the world between Huaco Mundo and the world of the living. It landed on the ground several feet away causing large gusts of wind with it's mighty wings. He walked to it and waved to her brushing off his suit free of grass. He turned his back to the moth creature and it wrapped its legs around him before bringing him back to Huaco Mundo.

Hotaru looked up at the sky and noticed that Zegram looked down on her while she got adjusted and he put his hand over hers. She blushed a little at this action. She continued to stare up at the sky together. In this one moment, she felt really peaceful. She heard a little sigh come from Zegram and it seemed like he was pretty content in the moment as well. It was just the perfect night.
She was starting to get comfortable with him, to the point she almost fell asleep. But, she knew that she had to get back soon. She couldn't stay away from Soul Society for so long, she still had her duties to do. She started to close her eyes again, almost falling asleep when she felt Zegram start to move. He moved slow enough so she could move her head. Once she sat up, she rubbed her face and eyes clean, to at least make it look like she wasn't trying to fall asleep.
He looked to her and he actually looked sad. He told her that he was sorry to say that it was time for him to go back to Hueco Mundo. He stood up and she stood up with him. He looked over the town and looked back towards her. He said he had a lot of fun and he couldn't wait until he was able to come back and see her again. At the last comment, he smiled a lot wider and blushed. She did the same.
It was a lot of fun hanging out with him. Besides the poison of course. But, he got burned, so turnabout was fair play lol. He looked up and she saw the Garganta forming. She cleaned off her uniform and watched him do the same. Once it was fully formed, he waved goodbye to her and left. She took a deep breath, summoned the spiritual gates and went back to Soul Society. She walked back to her barracks tired but happy. She reached her room and fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow with a smile on her face.
