Marcus’s breath was calm and relaxed. In fact, he was wondering why the text he received on his phone made the Hollow sound so dangerous. The fight only lasted two seconds, one for Marcus to punch the monster right in its bone mask, and the other for it to explode into dust and die. Simple, really. But the text read: HOLLOW REPORTED IN YOUR AREA. COORDINATES ARE ATTATCHED. The caps really weren’t necessary. Just hearing the sudden ringing of his phone made him jump a good foot into the air, but seeing a text written in all caps made him sweat a bit. The nerves weren’t necessary, though, and he was just happy that he could help Kazura with such little effort. His training had been paying off, and even through his black battle suit with the blue bird symbol on his chest, his muscular physique was visible. What wasn’t visible was the same symbol on a necklace hidden under his battle suit as well as the silver time piece tied around his neck with a chain. The both were pressed against his chest, and he could feel his heart beat against them. In a weird way, it was comforting and gave him the mental strength he lacked in most cases.
Just fifteen minutes ago, the Fullbringer had been released from work as a high-ranking financial manager in Uzaki Enterprises. With his prestige, he could probably make a quick phone call and get out of work for the rest of the day. It would give him more time to train in the combat room under Uzaki Enterprise’s headquarters. But the idea of talking to his boss and making such a demanding request was too overwhelming. If he had to talk to Kazura and ask for such a favor, he wouldn’t be able to find the courage to do so. He has enough trouble speaking as is, with all his stuttering and verbal stumbling. That’s understandable, though, considering that he hasn’t spoken word since he was thirteen up until just a year ago, when Kazura rescued him. The young man’s body was in ruins, with broken arms, legs, ribs, and back. In fact, it was a miracle he survived, much less recovered so quickly. It only took six months before Marcus was up and running, and it has been six months since then.
He pretty much skipped the physical therapy phase, and forced himself to adapt to his body and start training immediately. That meant hitting the gym for three hours in the morning, three hours at around sunset, and another hour before sleeping. In the little free time Marcus had, he devoted himself to aiding Kazura. Marcus pretty much idolized the man in his own, quite, awkward way. But idolization is still idolization, and Marcus’s loyalty in Kazura never wavered. He never questioned his superior, and gladly did his bidding. In this case, it was eliminating the Hollow. Just this morning, he had been managing finances for the company. And when he gets back home, he’s going to train in order to become more useful and reliable to the millionaire.
It was still early in the day, and maybe he could arrive a little late to the office and sneak back into his seat. He would definitely be fast enough to sneak past the old corporate officials, and Marcus shouldn’t have much trouble as long as no one noticed his absence before hand. For now, though, he didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to relax and enjoy the soothing silence of the forest. It would be the only time for the next several hours that he wouldn’t have to deal with being around people.

Kitai, was not is the best of moods. He had been asleep when his phone had gone off, and he had to rush to get to where he needed to be. "Ugh, please don't remind me...." He pleaded to the sky. He wiped his face with the sleeve of his straitjacket, trying to get the sleep out of his eyes. He had dashed over to the woods, where he could feel his target. It was low to medium level hollow, not anything he couldn't handle. The **** is a hollow?" He asked randomly, looking perplexed as he did so. He could feel the hollow directly up ahead. It seemed to be fighting something in the clearing up ahead. Finally deciding to fully wake up, he walked into the clearing, about attack.
Unfortunately for the albino however, he was too late. The tall fullbringer had entered the clearing just in time to witness the death of the hollow. By face crushing. He had walked in silently, not alerting the other human to his presence. That is, until he screamed out in horror. He ran over to the disintegrating corpse. Marcus would see a seven foot plus albino, with hair covering his eyes and reaching down to his lower back. He was wearing a modified straitjacket, colored black. He had a large white hat that shaded his entire face. The man also had some sort of black pants and boots that blended together well. He stopped and picked up what remained of the hollow.
"No... no no no." He said sadly. "What happened to ya little buddy...." He looked, and sounded, like he was in denial. He shook the rapidly evaporating hollow body. "I'm sorry little guy... *sniff* If I had just been here a bit sooner....." It seemed that the albino was crying, if the water coming from his hair was anything to go by. The hollow was just about gone at this point. "Good bye little guy.... I really wanted to eat you." He said, as if it were a really sentimental thing. The corpse finally vanished, causing Kitai to let out a loud yell. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO- man, that was suposed to be my breakfast. " He cut himself off mid yell, completely ruining the moment.
Standing himself up, he dusted off whatever parts of his outfit was dirty before looking around, trying to find whoever killed the hollow. He turned about to try and find the killer of the hollow. It didn't take long to do so. Standing a few feet away from the tall albino, he saw a man in a tight, seemingly leather, outfit. Oh ****. A homo." He claimed in a blunt monotone, not caring who he offended with that comment. "Well duh. Why would I care about the fetishist's feelings? That's probably how he gets off!" He says, looking to the side, ignoring Marcus for a minute.
Kitai's face was still hidden by both his hair, and the shadow his hat made over his face, so the other human would have a hard time getting a read off the albino. If he did see what little of the man's face was visible, he would see a grin that looked like if could split his face if it was any bigger. Turning back to to the fullbringer, he stared at him. Probably. "Soooo~, you killed my breakfast. What'cha gotta say for yerself punk?" He told him. He was taking slow steps towards Marcus. Kitai's arms were spread open, looking like his guard is wide open. With ever step Kitai took towards the other human, the more intimidating it would look, as if the albino just had a dark aura or something.

Marcus literally jumped. He only sprung a few inches off the ground, but it wouldn’t be hard for Kitai to notice, assuming that the entirety of his attention wasn’t focused on the deceased hollow. The man’s unexpected, unannounced arrival had scared the life out of Marcus, and his face lost a bit of its color. Had this been a battle scenario, Marcus would have responded differently. He would have spun around and analyzed a new potential threat in his combat stance. However, he had put his guard down and was planning to kindly rest on his own in what used to be an isolated forest. In both situations, though, the blood-curdling scream that came from Kitai would have come as a shock.
“No… no no no. What happened to ya little buddy….”Uh… what….? Was this man sympathizing with the hollow. Had he called it his ‘little buddy?’ Marcus’s face was pale and bewildered. His mouth was wide open, but he couldn’t seem to put any words together, not that his inability to speak was something new. Eventually, the Fullbringer came to a silent conclusion, refusing to address this situation directly. I think my mind has finally snapped. I’m hallucinating. I’m going crazy. This was going to happen eventually. Marcus had been suspicious of his mental condition, and these events had confirmed his insanity. After all, there was no other logical solution he could come up with to explain the scenario.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO- man, that was supposed to be my breakfast." If Marcus is actually hallucinating all of this, then his subconscious must be bat-shit crazy. How did any aspect of his mind come up with this delusional character? Eating hollows for breakfast? That abrupt change in attitude also took away from the legitimacy of his mourning. Marcus had to dig back to his lessons with Dr. Heimer, the old Quincy doctor, in order to even try and comprehend what was going on. Last time he checked, the only creatures that ate in order to survive were Arrancar, Hollow, and Bounts. Meaning this man must be one of the three. Unless he was, in fact, an apparition. Then, there was no point in trying to come up with a logical analysis.
“Oh ****. A homo. Forget logic, Marcus was definitely hallucinating. But why on Earth would a creation of his subconscious call him a homo? Was he trying to tell himself something? God, Marcus needed therapy. He needed it before, but at this point, he doesn’t think he’d be able to live without it. He needed to lie in those weird therapeutic couches and watch some professional doodle on a pad of paper while pretending to listen. Maybe the ‘doctor’ would ask a few questions, just to make it seem like he was engaged. Yes, that seemed to be the only solution that could piece back Marcus’s sanity.
Just as Marcus began praying that his illusion was finally going to disappear, the pale-skinned man began stepping towards Marcus, his arms raised in an aggressive, violent nature. Apparently, the death of that Hollow meant as much to Kitai as that little show he displayed let on. He seemed prepared to fight, and Marcus’s frustration grew. Was he going to fight a figment of his imagination? Had his conscious finally turned on itself and his mind was going to tear itself apart, allowing him to participate in the destruction by fighting himself, or at least some sort of man that he came up with?
Marcus’s breath starting getting heavy, and beads of sweat settled on his forehead. An anxiety attack was coming, but he had to hold this one back. He had to be strong for once if he was going to remain valuable to Kazura. He couldn’t let himself be defeated by some delusion his weak mind came up with. Marcus was going to fight this battle to the death, if he had to. After all, if he couldn’t put his life on the line for his significance, he might as well not be there at all.
Marcus didn’t speak a word before he made his move. He really didn’t feel like it was necessary if he was fighting a figment of his imagination. And, in most cases, Marcus barely spoke at all. The Fullbringer first drew a kunai from his pouch at his waist and infused reiatsu into it. He then threw the projectile blade at Kitai. It should be an easy block or dodge, so Kitai could respond anyway he desired. However, depending on his move, Marcus would release the technique he placed on the kunai. Ninja Art: Flash. It emits a bright flash of light for two posts, and if it happens to catch Kitai’s eye, he would have a hard time keeping his eye on Marcus, much less fighting.
If Kitai went for the block, just before the ma deflected the kunai, Marcus would activate the bright flash of light while squinting his own eyes to eliminate the danger for himself. That way, the light would catch Kitai’s gaze directly. However, if the man decided to dodge instead, he most likely wouldn’t find it practical to evade the blade by several meters, especially because he didn’t know what Marcus had infused it with. Therefore, he would most likely step to one side to avoid the kunai. Right as Kitai was in the middle of stepping away, while the kunai was still in his vision and not quite at the corner of his eyes, Marcus would activate the burst of light to blind his opponent.
From that point on, Marcus would rush the visually impaired Kitai, even if the man was beginning to retreat in order to recover from the flash, closing the small gap between them with his maximum speed in little to no time. In less than a second, Marcus would be directly in front of his opponent, who most likely wouldn’t even know that Marcus had moved at that point. Marcus had placed his left foot between Kitai’s legs, providing Marcus with the footing required to prevent Kitai from establishing his own stable form or moving to the sides to evade. The first direct attack Marcus made was a right hook aimed at the gap between Kitai’s right shoulder and neck, a delicate location that could prevent him from using his arm effectively in close-combat. At the same time, Marcus’s left fist would move with the intent to drive into Kitai’s diaphragm, knocking the wind out of the man and preventing a quick escape when he realized that he was in danger.
Marcus is highly trained in the martial art of Escrima, a fighting style that revolved around fast-paced, high-pressured assaults. He was trained to get multiple hits out of one charge. And so, assuming that his right fist had succeeded in connecting with Kitai’s shoulder, he would bring his right elbow up to make contact with the light-skinned Fullbringer’s chin at the full force of an uppercut. All in all, Marcus wasn’t going to hold back in this fight. He may have misunderstood what exactly was going on, but it was for those reasons that he viewed this battle as one he cannot lose.

Ooc: Gonna make this shorter for the fight.
Oh, this one was going to be fun. Kitai could feel it in his bones. And his bone. Kitai vanished from view as the knife got too close to him. This left the knife to simply pass by where he used to be. Kitai had reappeared behind a tree, using bringer flash to get away. He also did it slightly to mess with the guy, but that was a personal thing. He loved messing with his opponents heads during fights, and this guy seemed jumpy as it was. He could hardly believe that he had managed to sneak up on the guy earlier. Most people that could kill the masks could sense things like that. He had been watching the man through the veil that was his hair. Useful thing that is.
He didn't want to attack him first. No, that would make him look bad. By getting the leather clad ninja to throw the first attack, literally this time, he could claim self defense. Well, kinda. How would that even work? Wouldn't we just beat the tar out of him and leave him? Not like he could call the cops on us. Who would believe that a seven foot tall albino with anime long hair, randomly appeared in the middle of the woods, cried over the death of a demon that you, the leather clad ninja just killed, then had you attack him? I'm pretty sure he'd get arrested for being high as f***. The prideful voice thought to the other voices in the grinning albino's head.
And Kitai began laughing wickedly at the thought, about ten seconds after he flashed away, loud enough for Marcus to hear him. That had been the reaction that Jack, the prideful voice, had been hoping for. Screw with their head a bit more before attacking. Marcus would hear the laughing coming from one of the trees behind him. Kitai wanted to show off a bit. Placing his foot on the trunk of a tree, he shoved it forward. This threw the tree forwards as well, uprooting it. It flew at the older fullbringer at 600 speed and the same strength. Kitai was laughing like a madman at this point. "TIMBER! WAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" The albino yelled out, with no small amount of madness lacing his tone.

Marcus had hoped that Kitai wouldn’t make such a wide dodge, but he appeared to use a stepping technique to clear a large distance in his dodge. The only problem was that Marcus now had no clue where Kitai is. He lacked any energy sensory, so the man could be charging a Cero and he wouldn’t have a clue. Marcus would have to just keep a watch out for where his foe may be. It was the only defense he had, and if Marcus really was fighting a hallucination, his opponent shouldn’t be too easy to defeat. Though, now, he was beginning to doubt whether the white haired man really was a figment of his imagination. Everything seemed too real, but, then again, wasn’t it supposed to?
The Fullbringer made slow circles, his eyes scanning the labyrinth of trees that surrounded him. However, after several seconds of searching, Marcus found absolutely nothing. His opponent was hiding too well, and he would have to go hunting. He was about to chase after where he hoped Kitai would be before he heard maniacal laughter several meters behind him. Marcus spun around and was about to begin rushing to the source of the laughter at his maximum speed before he heard Kitai bellow “TIMBER! WAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” The tree was flying at him and closing the small distance between them quickly, so he had to act now.
Marcus did the first thing that popped into his head, an act that was ingrained in his instinct. He flipped to his right to avoid the incoming tree. It wasn’t a difficlut action for him, being a former trapezist in the circus and having uncanny acrobatic skills as well as powerful physical traits. He was also able to use his hands to push off the ground, propelling him to the side to clear even more distance and have a safer gap between him and the flying tree. Needless to say, he wasn’t in any immediate danger, and the second he landed on his feet, Marcus bolted at Kitai at his full speed while drawing two more kunai from the pouch at his waist, one in each hand.
Marcus charged the kunai in his right with reiatsu, a similar technique to the flash he used previously, this time Ninja Art: Electric Impulse. However, Kitai activated his stepping technique before Marcus used Ninja Art: Flash, so the light-skinned man still wouldn’t know about the traps that Marcus could use in his kunai. On top of that, the kunai that Marcus had Ninja Art: Flash infused in is still lying a good fifty meters away in the forest. Marcus then activated the technique, having a bright light illuminate the right corner of Kitai’s eye. It was too distant to be blinding at all, but it could serve as a perfect distraction.
The technique would flash of light would draw attention just as Marcus got within close-combat range of Kitai, so if the man even flicked his eyes in the direction of the light, he wouldn’t see Marcus slash with the kunai in his right hand at Kitai’s left ribs. He held his left kunai in front of him defensively, and his pace slowed down so that he was no longer charging but rather standing directly in front of Kitai. He just used the burst of speed to pressure his foe, a technique used very effectively in combat as well as sports. Defenders would pressure offensive players of the opposite team by sprinting at them in hopes that their foes would panic and make a grave error. Marcus knew that wasn’t likely to happen in battle, but he at least wanted to give Kitai less time to think and put his opponent on the defensive.
So, here’s a summary of what just went down. Marcus flipped to the side, grabbed a kunai with each hand, and rushed at Kitai. In the meantime, he activated a flash of light from a distant kunai as a distraction to Kitai. He then used his right hand to slash at the albino’s left ribs (the opposite direction from where the light was coming from) so that Kitai would have his attention split and his gaze wouldn’t be on the incoming attack. Marcus ends by standing in front of Kitai as he does his slash, his left hand holding the second kunai defensively in front of him. So yeah, all that’s left is to see what Kitai does.

Oh, the ninja prefers playing in the light than the dark. What a twit. Light is what gets people like us killed. The prideful, if not a bit dark, voice commented in the albino's head. If he had the time, the angry voice would have snickered to the comment. But as it were, he didn't have the time. This ninja, no matter what his prideful voice said he was an ninja, was just as fast as he was, and thus making the fight difficult. Kitai had thought about releasing his fullbring, but he doubted that it would help too much. This guy seemed too fast for him to use his cannon properly. It was starting to piss him off.
He watched as the agile man danced around the large tree like it was a mere inconvenience to him. He doubted this though, seeing that he would have had to move pretty fast to get out of the way. Moving at high speeds always irritated him for some reason. Putting strain on his limbs instead of pain. YEAH! Straining isn't even a fun kinda pain! Now if it was stabbin, then we'd be talkin! KAHAHEAHEAHHAHA! A screeching voice wailed mentally. Kitai visibly cringed at the sound of the voice in his head. She was always able to hurt him, no matter how strong he had gotten.
The tights-wearing ninja moved quickly at Kitai. The man further proved the ninja assumption with the tiny knives he held in his hands. Kitai thought he heard laughing in the back of his mind, but dismissed it. There's now way he'd be up. The ninja homo dashed at him, seemingly with an intent to kill. This made Kitai happy. And that was not a good thing. Kitai was about to move out of the the way of the man's dash, when he noticed something bright out of the corner of his eye. He looked towards it briefly, turning his head slightly to see it.
This would be a mistake for the albino however. The light flared in his eyes, distracting him for a moment. The effect of the light was none due to the distance, and the hair covering his eyes. Kitai looked back towards the ninja. He was in mid slash, aiming for the albino's chest. With how close he was to Kitai, and with how fast he was moving, there was no way Kitai could stop it, or catch it. The albino's eyes widened in alarm, realizing what was about to happen.
The blade cut into Kitai's chest, cutting into his ribs. Ow. The knife had drawn blood from the idiot. It stuck into his chest, less than an inch away from striking anything vital, mainly because this twit gets lucky like that. It was stuck there, leaving a cut for blood to leak out of. I think it cut through his nipple. Oh, Jill is going to have a fit. The knife.... wasn't moving. At all. Odd. Lets see, attached to the weapon was a hand. This.... was the hand that had been holding the knife, so that wasn't different. Wait, I see the problem. The annoying one grabbed the gay one's hand. I would actually congratulate you if you had caught it before it cut you.[/color]
"F*** OFF JACK!" Kitai yelled out randomly, probably confusing the older human. Kitai was staring intensely at this man's face. After using bringers flash to stop the man's potentially fatal attack, he thought he recognized this ninja. Then he remembered something else. "Oh. If you move, I'll turn your hand into paste." Thinking this to be a good enough threat, he reached into his side pocket for his phone with his free hand. Going 'ah ha!' at something he found, he pulled it out. It was a rubber chicken. "F***!" He cursed loudly, outting it back in. He got his phone out the next try.
Opening his phone with his teeth, he looked through his texts. "You got ads." The phone suddenly called out. "F***ing telemarketers." He said casually, resuming his search. "Oh! There we go!" He said, listing his phone up for little reason. On the tiny screen was a picture of a man. The same man in the picture was standing in front of Kitai. Holding a knife in his chest. He decided to sate the what curiosity the man probably had, and read the message out loud. "This is Marcus Cole. John, or whatever your calling yourself at the moment, if you see him, please don't kill him, or anything of the sort." He turned the screen around to show the smaller man the picture.
The albino was grinning a wickedly happy smile. The pain in his chest didn't hurt as much as it made him feel good. He was weird like that. BUT. The fact that he didn't kill Kazura's new employee was a plus. Not that he would have killed him, but returning him without limbs would have definitely gotten him in trouble. Probably. Shrugging his shoulders at the thought, he remembered the fact that he still had a knife in his chest. "Hehhehe, Soooooo~, since we work for the same guy, how about! We go get some pizza!" He said, chuckling every few words. There was a huge blood stain on his shirt and jacket. "And stitches!" He said. If Marcus gave any sign of confirmation, Kitai would remove the knife from his chest, and probably do that. If the ninja didn't respond, he would squeeze his the man's hand slightly, but enough to cause pain, letting him know that he could destroy his limb.

Marcus didn’t even react when his tactic succeeded. As soon as the light went off, Kitai’s head turned to the side to address what he believed to be a new potential threat. He had just looked back when Marcus was already upon him with his kunai just a few inches from Kitai’s chest. The battle could have ended right then and there, and Marcus would have celebrated his victory over his hallucination until he realized that it was, in fact a person. Oops.
However, that’s not what happened. Kitai used one of the variations of Movement, Bringer: Flash. And, by doing so, his arm was able to move with insanely rapid speed to catch Marcus’s fist and prevent the blade from penetrating Kitai far enough to do any harm. And just from how tightly he felt Kitai’s grip, he knew he would not be strong enough to escape from the albino’s grasp. He was caught, but he wasn’t ready to end the fight. In fact, Marcus had a back-up plan for that exact moment that had already been prepared before he charged his opponent.
When Marcus had ingrained reiatsu into the kunai earlier, he stored a technique called Ninja Art: Electric Impulse within it. With just a mental command, he could subject both Kitai’s entire exterior body and his interior muscles by the man’s ribs to first and second-degree burns, since the blade was currently stuck in the man’s rib cage. On top of that, Kitai’s whole body would feel numb, and he would find all of his physical stats reduced by twenty percent. Marcus would possibly have been able to catch the white-haired man off guard and break away from his hold.
However, Marcus would do no such thing. He was a sensible purpose, and, even in the heat of battle, he knew how to keep his head as straight as he could. However, he couldn’t have expected Kitai’s sudden outburst. “F*** OFF JACK!” Uh… what? Marcus cocked his head to the side in confusion. If Kitai had been able to see Marcus’s eyes behind his battle visor, he would clearly see an eyebrow raised in question. Marcus was confused, and partly stunned by Kitai’s unexpected scream.
“Oh, if you move, I’ll turn your hand into paste.” That was a bit of a red flag for Marcus, and any sane person would have taken that as a signal to desperately get out of Kitai’s grasp and save his hand from a painful destruction. Marcus wasn’t exactly sane. However, he saw a strange light of recognition in Kitai’s eyes and he was interested to see why the man had stopped the fight. At that moment, Marcus decided that he most likely wasn’t dealing with a hallucination or an imaginary ghost. That did kind of make him feel foolish, though.
Marcus watched with a child-like curiosity as Kitai reached into his pockets and searched for… something. The suspense and mystery was part of what kept Marcus so interested in what he was trying to take out. “F***!” The shout made Marcus jump in surprise and slightly from fear. However, what was even worse was the increased confusion from the appearance of a rubber chicken. Scratch my earlier statement, hallucination was still a possibility.
And so, Marcus watched the man explore his pockets until he finally found what he had been searching for. It was, undoubtedly, a cell phone. “You got ads.” Again, Marcus flinched from the unexpected mechanical voice coming from an unexpected source.
“F***ing telemarketers… Oh! There we go.” Marcus tried to peek over the phone in an attempt to get a look at the screen. The glare did make it difficult, but when he finally found an angle that let him see the image, he saw a photo of himself with some small text under it that Macus couldn’t quite read from that angle. What was he doing on the man’s phone, what did the text say, and was he really hallucinating?
Two of those three questions would be answered when Kitai opened his mouth to read the text. “ This is Marcus Cole. John, or whatever your calling yourself at the moment, if you see him, please don't kill him, or anything of the sort.” Marcus learned two knew things. One: the albino was not ordered not to kill him, which was a good thing. Two: the man’s name may or may not be John, which at least gave him something to go off. It was better than his state of ignorance before. Now, he knew what could possibly be the man’s name.
Marcus was completely bewildered not just by the new information he discovered but also by the man’s – John’s – unsettling grin. “ Hehhehe, Soooooo~, since we work for the same guy, how about! We go get some pizza! … And stiches!” Ah, that made more sense. So this John person worked for Kazura too? Marcus was suddenly ashamed of his actions, and immediately pulled his kunai back. He wiped the blood on the side of his leg, and returned the blade to the pouch on his waist.
Marcus seemed to stare blankly at John before he suddenly remembered that he had been asked a question. In an awkward and rushed motion, he suddenly nodded his head several times. It was intended to answer the suggestion of getting pizza and stiches, but maybe the delay would take the nods out of context for the other man and make it difficult for him to understand. At that instant, Marcus suddenly remembered how rude his previous actions had been, and turned his nods into a rapid chain of bows that were made in apology for the fight he initiated. He didn’t speak a word in the meantime.
