Thread Title: A Date With Destiny Participants: Iwamichi Saeke vs. Vannan Harper World: Human World Death Setting: Non Death Enabled Rating: PG-13 Location: In the thriving metropolis of the island of Manhattan, there are people, cars, and buildings galore. There is a plethora of things to do and places to see. Even at night, where this battle takes place, there are plenty of people lively and awake. The lights of the city illuminate the streets and the drunkards walking past well. Midst the glowing luxury of the upper class, there is poverty, opium dens, and, of course, corruption. The air smells of motor oil and discarded beer cans most of the time, and beady eyes peek from behind garbage bins at every passerby. Special Conditions: None Circumstances: Iwamichi is a class 5 rogue shinigami and Vannan is a Vandenreich Private. Iwa is in Manhattan for the purpose of studying people and understanding the foreign American culture. Vannan is having fun on a night out on the town, doing whatever he likes to do after a tedious mission put him in the Big Apple. He spots Iwa down a small alleyway, watching people pass by and decides to strike up a conversation. This conversation inevitably leads to an undesired result.

Iwa was in need of a change in scenery. After spending most of her time in the Eastern hemisphere, she decided to head out West. She had heard from a book somewhere that Japan had modernized itself off of Western culture. Iwa knew Japan pretty well, so she also wanted to know what this strange culture was that had affected it. Unfortunately, she had to notify Kazura as to where she was going. On the bright side, he let her do what she want as long as she didn't have a more pressing mission. She could pass it off as a training expedition and that was fine. He didn't force her to take the jet either, which was nice. She liked doing things on her own, without Kazura's help.
Her first stop in America led her to the island of Manhattan. It was relatively small, still part of New York yet somewhat isolated. It had a different feel than any other place she had every experienced before. Iwa learned quickly that she did not care for large cities. There was just so much noise. Although, there were a myriad of interesting people to watch, so she figured she could put up with the bustling noise. The cars and traffic was a little much, but she never took a car anyway. Walking around, she saw all kind of things that intrigued and stupefied her. This place seemed keen on making everything big and showy. The lights of the city were almost blinding.
On one side of Manhattan, everything was luxurious and fancy; on the other, it was a dirty and smelly garbage-infested land. The sudden difference was astounding. Such poverty and wealth could meet just one block away. It was great for research though. Iwa observed both rich and poor and decided that there wasn't much difference other than money. The rich got drunk just as much as the poor, and some were even more foul tempered. The rich sought after women just as much as the poor. There were prostitutes hanging around every corner. Iwa couldn't stand that, mainly because there was no dignity in that kind of work. She didn't hate the prostitutes, just pitied them that they would have to go so far to be able to survive.
Iwa walked down many blocks, watching the night get darker and darker. Less people came across her path, although there were some that liked to stay out all night long. There was less noise, which she very much appreciated. The only sounds she mainly heard at this time was a stray cat or dog. She stopped to stroke one of the cats at her feet. She loved cats because they were smart and quiet and could defend themselves well. It started quickly, confused as to what had just touched it. Smiling, Iwa walked away from the frightened kitten. What was she going to do now? So far, the city had been a mix of exciting and boring, and she was stuck wondering what her next move was.
Should she really start training, as she had originally intended? That was always her standby. Iwa started to crack her knuckles, like usual. Her mind was busy thinking of something to do. Finally, she stopped at a dark alley way to her left. She heard a group of homeless men, huddling around a dim fire for warmth. Their faces were gruff and grim, displaying their sense of discomfort. Iwa didn't think it was very cold - but she was dead, so it didn't matter to her as much as them. She watched them whisper to each other, maybe so that they could make sure they were all still alive. She respected them because they never cried or begged, just endured.
Then, a sound came from behind her. She thought she felt a hand upon her shoulder. Spinning around hurriedly, her right hand immediately fell to the sword in its sheath. She eye the mysterious stranger that had come up behind her. Someone who could see her - not just that, though, because he could touch her. Iwa was definitely on guard, although the boy just smiled at her. Her brow furrowed, she didn't say a word but watched his movements. Was he a threat? What did he -want- with her? Annoyed that she didn't sense his presence and that she was taken so abruptly from her favorite hobby, she didn't feel obliged to give him any leniency. He would have to choose his words very carefully...
The big apple a city full of sights and wonders to see. Vannan was here only because a mission had been handed to him to track down a rouge Vandenreich member and kill the guy. Vannan eventually did find the guy all the way on the other side of the world hiding on Queen's island. Vannan didn't even want to fight this poor guy he just wanted to make sure that he wouldn't pop back up later on and expose to the Vandenreich that he wasn't actually doing his missions properly. It took some time, but he did end up convincing the former member that he wasn't after his life and that he should try to hide. That was his plan until the former member tried to kill Vannan as he turned his back to him forcing Vannan to retaliate and kill the quincy. Seeing the man dead on the ground made him sick, he had just killed another of his race and this time it wasn't even for a noble reason it was a reaction from him being fired at first.
Vannan slowly walked away from the dead body with large holes in it. He wasn't worried about getting caught by local law enforcement because it would just be another body that they would find that day maybe it would be the first one of the day for the officers maybe it would be the tenth. With that unpleasant action out of the way Vannan saw no reason to return back to the base before he took his time having fun in Manhattan with everything it had to offer from great restaurants and clubs. The next few hours became a blur in Vannan's mind as he hopped from place to place drinking more and more with each new place he visited. Before he knew it he was stumbling out of a club drunk in the middle of the night.
The cool air felt good on his face as he stumbled around the dark city streets. Slowly but surely as he walked around the streets he was getting a bit more sober. While he was trying to recall where the club he was just in was he somehow ended up turning down a dark alley way that lead out about ten feet from where a woman was standing looking at something else. Vannan couldn't help but feel happy at his luck, while looking for a club he had stumbled upon something much better a beautiful girl in a dark street all by herself. Vannan thought that this lone girl could use someone to help her down this shady part of town and who better to do it than him. After all no thug could actually harm him because of what he was.
He only had noble intentions about helping this girl and maybe flirt with her a bit and nothing more however the way he was at the moment anyone could confuse him for a drunk. He still had on his typical Vandenreich uniform however it reeked of alcohol. Vannan's phone rung out with an alert notifying him he had a text message before he was able to placed his hand on her shoulder. “Hey there sexy I was thinking a pretty girl like you could use someone to help you home.” Vannan's words were slurred as he spoke to her and watched her turn around. “ So how about it? I could use some company and I think you could use someone to keep those kinda guys away from you.”

Observing the boy in front of her, she could tell that he was drunk. It wasn't too hard to see: a dense smell of alcohol wafted from him and his speech was sluggish and blurred. What was interesting, though, was the clothes he was wearing. His attire was mostly white, which made Iwa realize that he was probably a Quincy. She had met one of his kind before; however, this boy looked a lot different and, unfortunately, more annoying. At least the first one she met didn't say much. She had liked that. But this one seemed talkative, loose, and unable to have a basic grasp of self-control (from the way he was drunk).
Iwa wanted to ignore him and continue her earlier activity. But, she needed to address this Quincy and the insult he had just given her, although he probably had no idea that it was so offensive to her. She continued to give him an icy glare. "Listen, kid, I don't need your help. If you haven't noticed, I can take care of myself. And, if you don't leave me alone, I could carve your body into the pavement. I don't like being disturbed." She had to get the message across to him. Hopefully, he would take the hint. There was no guarantee of that since he was drunk though. Maybe she should go a little easier on him, since he probably had no idea what he was doing at the moment. But, being lenient could be seen as a sign of weakness.
She brought her katana more into the light as she was talking, so he would be able to see it. If she had that, he should be able to realize she could defend herself. His sense of duty and honor didn't apply here; he could move on with a clear conscience. That is, she hoped he would think this way. Iwa didn't like drunk people - alcohol itself irritated her. She always wanted to be at the top of her game, the smartest in the room, ready for any situation. Alcohol ruined all that. It obscured your vision, prohibited your ability to think rationally, and slowed your reaction time to everything. Of course, it would be the bane of her modus operandi. So, that meant that she had little to no respect for people that took too much alcohol.
Iwa didn't really care for playboys either. She didn't care for pick-up lines or things of that nature. What was the point? She believed you should call someone sexy at least until you see their face. In this case, he went right to flirting without understanding -who- it was he was talking to. That was important in any situation. One needed to observe things and people before they made snap judgments. Think, then act. Iwa didn't want the company of a man who was going to say insincere remarks to flatter her and get something out of her. Basically, this guy had zero chance with her. He had done everything wrong from the beginning, and Iwa was not a very forgiving person. She turned and walked away, hoping he would understand the message by now. She wanted to be left -alone- and not with someone like him.
Iwa's words were a bit blurred to Vannan so he couldn't tell what she was saying, but the more he looked at her the more she seemed to remined him of someone else. Only bits and pieces of what Iwa actually clicked in Vannan's head so to him all he heard as “I need your help,... don't leave me alone.” Vannan's mind clicked all those words together and with what he was trying to figure out who she was and the only thing his mind could come up with was his sister. She was the only one who ever said something like that to him. All the alcohol in his system didn't help clear his mind. So he was taken back while thinking that his sister was here in front of him.
Iwa flashed something at Vannan and started to walk off. He couldn't tell what she had showen him, but he didnt' want her to walk away.Vannan had no idea that each move he made was the wrong one towards trying to get to know Iwa. Vannan would have had a lot more sense if he wasn't so drunk, but sadly only time would snap him out of this state or a good slap across the face would at least wake him up enough to figure out what he was doing.
He reached out his arm to try to grab her by her arm, but he tripped forward and ended up grabbing her from behind his arms rested around her waist. In his drunken state he could only hold on and mutter a few words to her. “I'm here for you sis. Your big brother is here.” Vannan's words again were a bit slurred however the meaning of his words couldn't be taken any other way. Vannan was drunk and confused so much so that he thought a total stranger who looked only a little like his sister with her blue hair.
Vannan spoke once more as his grip loosened and he stumbled back and landed on his ass on the pavement.“I know I haven't been there all the time anymore and I know i've missed a lot of important days recently, but I have a good reason. It's all to keep you safe.” Vannan's words was filled with both sorrow and regret that the only reason his sister is safe is that he is in the Vandenreich one of the worst organization to be working for because of the high risk situations that most members are forced to do.

Iwa was walking away. WAS walking away. Then, to no real surprise, the drunk Vannan made another stupid move. It seemed like he had mistaken Iwa for a close relation. That was certainly a big mistake, but what made it worse was the drunken hug that followed his insane rambling. That did take her by surprise and she stopped dead in her tracks for a couple seconds. Her rage was threatening to explode and take over her. She had to keep it together, calm herself, and get rid of that excess emotion. She couldn't end up like him - unable to maintain self-control and think rationally. Still, she needed to teach this pathetic boy a lesson he won't soon forget.
She heard the boy fall back and hit the pavement, unable to keep his balance. He kept spouting foolishness, continuing this delusion that she was his sister. She was barely even listening to his spiel. Iwa didn't really care about other people, much less their family lives and personal background. His words were slurred, but she could feel his emotion. If he had that many regrets, then he must be weak. She didn't have time to deal with weak fools. So, she would teach him a lesson and maybe, that would encourage him to get stronger and to focus on what was -really- important. In a quick and fluid motion, Iwa crouched down and spun her leg around in a tornado kick. Her body spun 270 degrees; as she did so, she spotted her target and raised her leg high enough to hit the boy square in the face.
The kick should definitely wake him up from his lull and get his attention. She was not his sister and she would NOT take his drunken ramblings. She stepped back a couple feet to study his reaction. Would he realize his mistake? As she glared down at him, she wondered if he would finally just walk away. Of course, if he decided he wanted to retaliate, she would be ready and willing to take the boy on. She was still seething a bit inside. It was odd. She felt different than she had ever felt before: more furious. To embarrass her so much, to fluster her and leave her speechless... he needed to pay. No one, not even Kazura, had made her feel so angry. How could she let that go?
She took out her katana from its sheath. It glistened ominously in the moonlight. Iwa rested the blade at Vannan's throat, threatening to slice it clean across. She could picture that: hot red blood running down his pale, smooth neck. Would he scream? Or would a drunken, guttural slur just escape his lips as the light faded from his eyes? The question intrigued her, for she loved to observe people. And, dying moments always produced interesting results. Maybe, he could worm his way out of his impending doom - either by force or diplomacy. If he could, then he could increase his standing in front of her eyes - but just a little bit.
Vannan didn't know what happened until it hit him right in the face. It was a kick not that Vannan could tell what it was at first, but what he could tell is that he got hit and hit hard enough to push him down to the ground and land on his back a few feet away. Even though the strike to the face was painful it was actually a good thing for him even though it didn't seem like it. The kick actually knocked some sense back into and he wasn't as out of it as he was just moments before. Before he could even react he felt the tip of a blade across his throat. This was bad he was still a bit groggy from drinking, but he could now tell that he was in a bad situation and that he had pissed off this girl. He wasn't sure what he did, but he knew it couldn't be good.
Vannan raised his hands up near his throat but keeping them on the side with his palms facing toward her. He wasn't trying to alert her of him doing anything to her it would look as if he was trying to beg for mercy, however he had a feeling that this girl wouldn't give him mercy. Opening his mouth he gently spoke “Smite the enemy with hollow steel.” With that in a flash of light a silver sword sword was created in his hands. Without wasting a moment he pushed it up forcing the blade away from his throat. Using that momentum he lunged up and wobbled a bit before he was able to stand up straight. With the blade in his right hand he made a choice and decided that it wouldn't be for his best interest to stay and fight the way he was at the moment. “Sorry, but I'm not looking for a fight, so see you later.”
With that Vannan jumped back on his left using Hirenkyaku to propel him backwards further and away from this girl. While in the air he could feel his stomach churning from all the alcohol still in him . The moment he landed he could feel some of it trying to come back up from the quick movement he just did, but he couldn't let that stop him so as soon as landed he quickly turned away and started to run away. Still feeling the churning feeling going on in his stomach. He hoped that this chick would just drop this and leave him alone, but a little part of his mind knew that it wouldn't be the case. This girl had gone far enough to kick him in the face and then hold a sword at his throat she was clearly after his life for something he did while he was really out of it.

Iwa was taken aback as Vannan responded to the steel blade at his throat, diverting it even in his drunken state. It seemed her kick really did knock some sense into the boy. Good. It will be much more interesting this way. At least it seems like he's not a total decrepit bum. Vannan quickly retreated, however, not wanting to fight. He was much more interested in running away. Seeing as she had nothing else to do at the moment, should she pursue him? Maybe she should force him to apologize, even if he didn't know what for. Without another thought, Iwa did a quick flash step forward and started running after Vannan.
It was easy for Iwa to catch up to Vannan's pace, but she didn't want to overtake him yet. She felt like she was a little faster, but she decided to take her time with this. First, she would observe her opponent. What action would he take now that he knew she was following him? It wouldn't be hard for her to match his Hirenkyaku technique with her own shunpo. So, would he change his mind and attack? If he was really concerned with escaping he might. At the moment, he probably had a slight advantage. He could fire arrows from long-distance, whereas Iwa was not in a mode where long-range would be easy. Although she had kido, it is normally hard to aim at moving targets. A simple byakurai didn't have much power and was just a straight shot.
With her bakkoto unreleased, she was more dependent on close-range combat: sword skills and her karate expertise. Iwa was usually reluctant to release her weapon normally, too. She didn't want to waste energy; more like, consuming energy was a bother and she would rather get things done as easily as possible. Could she take down the Quincy without releasing? Probably not, if he was like the last one she faced. It was too difficult. That bothered her, but she still had a long way to go to become truly powerful. Iwa hoped she wouldn't have to keep running for so long. If he still didn't make a move after a while, she was going to step up and take him down. No, she wouldn't -kill- him. At least she would stop his attempt to flee.
If you didn't want to fight boy, you shouldn't have gotten drunk. You made a pass at the wrong woman. It was not normal for Iwa to speak, but she wanted Vannan to know why he was being pursued and why she was angry. At least he might be able to fix his ways for next time. Whether he replied or not, Iwa finally decided to increase her speed. She stopped slowing herself, which let her come side to side with Vannan. Drawing her sword, she aimed for his legs in a downward slash. If he used his own Quincy-sword-thing, she could block it. "Why don't you stop running so we can have more fun?" Of course, she meant a real fight, but after she said it, she wasn't sure how he would interpret that.

Why did she have to be this fast? Vannan was use to running away however this time he had a feeling in his gut that he wouldn't be able to escape by running, or it could be all that alchohol he had before trying to work it's way out of his stomach through his mouth, either way he could feel that this wasn't going to be a fight that he could get out of so easily. At the very least he could understand her words now according to her he had made a pass at the wrong girl, but who did he make the pass at? Was it to her or was it to someone she knew and this was her just trying to chase him away from her friend. He had too many questions and not enough answers, but this wasn't new he knew better than to drink that much, but he didn't' care. He swore he learned his lesson because last time he drank like that he woke up in the middle of a hotel in New Mexico and the only clue as to what happen was a picture on his phone with him an Elvis impersonator, a guy in a Bigfoot costume and some drunk chick holding a pineapple.
She was moving her hand and going for something that's when he saw it, a sword and it was coming down towards his legs. On the next step he jumped to the side while he also brought down his Hohle Schneide to intercept the blade. He wasn't about to let himself get cut on the legs. As he landed away from her he heard her say something about how he should stop running so they could have some fun, although the kind of fun he liked to have and the one she was talking about was more than likely very very different. Still running away wasn't going to work anymore because she was faster than him.
He quickly turned to face her that was a bad move all the quick movement finally caught up to him He wanted to say something smart back to her, but it seemed like his body had another plan at the moment. As he opened his mouth he could feel it and there was no stopping it. Vomit spewed out from his mouth and flew straight froward if she came after him right away she would get a face full of his puke. This wasn't his proudest moment to say the least, but he did feel a lot better after he threw up.
His head was as clear as it was going to get for a while, he could still feel the effects of the alcohol, however instead of being piss drunk like he was when he came on to her, he was now more or less slightly buzzed. “Sorry about that. Guess I partied too hard, but can you blame me this is the best city in the world cutie. So yea I could stand to have some more fun.” Vannan tightened his grip on his Hohle Schneide. He wasn't going to run away anymore he was ready to fight.

It was a real advantage to be faster; it made the game of cat and mouse less frustrating and a lot easier. Iwa was the cat. Although she was very angry about this guy's stupid actions, she hadn't stopped toying with him yet. If Iwa was -really- serious she would make absolutely sure that her attacks would hit him. As it was, she just swung at his legs nonchalantly. His reactions were good enough to keep him from major injury twice now. Iwa was glad that he was proving more able than she first thought. She didn't like easy fights or unnecessary bloodbaths. Vannan landed on the other side of the street, obviously sick from the combination of the excess alcohol and fast motion.
She snorted. It was a mixture of disgust and amusement, but it wasn't a laugh because she would never excuse herself for that if she did. It was amusing to watch him wobble in pain and discomfort. If this didn't make him learn his lesson, nothing probably will. As Iwa jumped toward him, ready for another attack, she saw his mouth open wide. Too late. She knew what was coming and tried to move out of the way, but the torrent of stomach juice and leftovers had come too fast. The vomit covered her right shoulder - a smell so terrible it made -her- want to puke. Iwa hurriedly stepped back. Since the shoulder that was covered in vomit was on the side of her missing eye, she couldn't see it as clearly. She was so thankful for that.
She couldn't let that vomit stay there, of course. She brushed it off her shoulder with her left hand. It was gross, but she wasn't a wuss. Eyes glowing red, she turned back to Vannan. He offered a less-than-satisfying apology. No, she couldn't consider it an apology the way that he stated it halfheartedly. He just made excuses, excuses that Iwa didn't care about. He should accept his position and his responsibility. "Can you blame me? this is the best city in the world, cutie" Yes, Iwa could blame him for that. No one told him he had to "party" so hard. There was no gun to his head, therefore, he could be blamed for his choices. What also annoyed her was that last flirtation he just had to throw in there. Did he really not understand why she was mad at him in the first place?
"I'm glad you've chosen to face me this time. It will be better for the both of us this way. I get some training out of this and revenge on the slovenly drunk that practically groped me. Ans you get a nice, needed lesson. Whether you actually take it to heart is your own choice. And yes, if you're a real man, I can blame you for all your choices." This being said, Iwa was done with talking. That speech already seemed long-winded to her. Talking was cheap. Actions were the real deal. If Vannan understood everything she was saying, that would be ideal. But, the kid was probably still a little drunk, so it was debatable whether he would learn his lesson from all that.
Iwa figured fighting with her sword wasn't going to get anywhere. Since he had his own Quincy sword-type-thing, he could probably match her easily. Fighting like that would be a waste of energy. Hand-to-hand was basically the same result as well. She was still reluctant with her bakkoto. It was inevitable that she was going to have to use it, but she could go a little while longer without it. Finally agreed on a plan, Iwa raised her hand towards Vannan. "Hado no sanjuuyon: Kongobaku" Iwa didn't yell it very loud, but even if Vannan did hear it, he probably didn't know what it was. As she cast the kido, a blast of molten fire shot from her hand towards the boy at 140 speed and 100 reaitsu strength. Although it was faster than him, he might be able to dodge. She would be ready and waiting for that to happen.
Remaining Reaitsu: -100 for Kongobaku 2805 / 2930 Life Force: 2930 /2930
Even in the state that he was he could still tell that this girl had been hit by his vomit, he couldn't help but giggle a bit at that. This girl who seemed like a true warrior couldn't even dodge his drunken vomit spew one that he didn't even aim at her and yet it hit here right on the shoulder leaving a mess. He wanted to feel bad, but after what she did to him he couldn't be too upset, however he would try to give a real apology later on if she would listen to him. However to even due that, he knew he would have to beat her in a fight or at least try to end it in a draw.
At the very least she just seemed to be more or less disgusted by the vomit rather than angry about it as her face made a sour expression. He didn't have to imagine why it was like that even from here he could smell how bad his vomit was. Maybe it was a bad idea to mix Greek food with Indian, although it did taste great as it went down. He noticed that she didn't shy away from pushing off his spew from her shoulder, it seemed as if she wasn't that squeamish. She was saying something about him groping her and that caught him by surprise.
He didn't remember that he groped her, he didn't think he did that. He had been really drunk before and never had he done something like that before. Before he could offer an apology to what he supposedly did to her he saw another attack coming right at him this one was definitely stronger than his sword if this was how it was going to be then he knew he wouldn't be able to play around anymore and would have to use his bow. He dropped his Hohle Schneide letting it hit the floor next to him as he formed his bow in hand the blade vanished into thin air. He lined up his shot and fired an arrow at the ball of fire that was heading towards him. It cut right through the kido and continued on towards Iwa. It would be easy to dodge it after all he didn't aim it to hit her he fired it to destroy her attack.
“ Hey about before about how I groped you well shoot um.... wow I'm sorry I didn't even mean to do that. I'm really sorry I can see why you are mad at me know. Ug I feel like such a creep now. “ Vannan lowered his guard, but still kept his bow in hand. He no longer felt the effects of being drunk, instead he felt guilt from harassing this poor girl. He didn't think that he could feel any worse about what he had done. “Hey look I know this is kinda out of the blue, but let me make it up to you. I feel bad about groping you while drunk that's not me. How about we go to dinner? My treat and after that you can slap me a few times for what I did. Sounds good?” He knew that this was one of the few times that he shouldn't flirt, even though every part of his body was telling him he should.

Iwa was now very frustrated. She had tried to use one of the biggest kidos that she knew, partly for intimidation and partly to melt his ugly flesh. What was the worst was that he didn't even bat an eye. One arrow - that was it. It went right through her attack; there was no dodge or extra flare needed. He was looking down on her, she knew that now. He then continued talking as if it never happened. He didn't care that she just tried to take his LIFE. now, he was asking her to DINNER? She could feel the rage seething inside her. It was threatening to consume her and attack him blindly. From this first failure, however, she knew that would be a fatal mistake.
Her fist clenched and her eyes narrowed even more. Cracking her knuckles, she glared menacingly at the boy. There would be no nice negotiations, only war. She would go all out, and if that wasn't enough, so be it. At least, hopefully, he would need to go all out too. And she would show him that she should not be underestimated - ever. "I would be satisfied with that apology if you had not just now trampled over all my pride. I will make you regret that, I swear it. I will not be underestimated." Having announced her intentions, it was time for Iwa to start the real fight. No more wimpy stuff. Now that he was fully sober, it would be more interesting.
Iwa went straight to her release. She just knew that that was what was going to be required in order to take him down. The hardened steel ran down her arms and up her legs, coating all four limbs. The parasite's long tentacles spilled out from the empty eye socket to bring all the pieces together. If the creature had a voice, she knew it would scream in pleasure. Their desire to kill was one; their thirst for vengeance was one. The ye wriggled in anticipation. Iwa herself could feel shivers down her spine, thinking of how great this battle was going to be. This Quincy was strong. Which meant that she would, inevitably, get stronger from this battle too.
It was important to make a move first - she couldn't waste the limited time she had with these powers. The first thing she did was to manipulate the building directly behind Vannan. It was basically made of concrete and metal, which she could bend to her will. She manipulated the wall of the building to jut out, like a stone pillar, taht she aimed directly at Vannan's back. Iwa believed this was a very good first move. He didn't know her powers, so he certainly wouldn't be expecting the wall behind him to slam into his back. He had no way of knowing, so dodging it would be difficult. It would hurt, but it wasn't a fatal blow by any means. The worst it would do was send him sprawling on his hands and knees.
Whether the attack hit or not, and whether it was effective in bringing him to his knees or not, Iwa used the ground around the boy's feet to encircle him. It would grab him like a giant hand and squeeze him. He could try to dodge that, since he did have good step techniques, but the earthen claw would follow him, since Iwa was the one who was guiding it. If it managed to trap him, it would squeeze him tight - probably hard enough to drastically limit the use of his arms and breathing. For a Quincy, that would definitely be a problem.
Iwa believed this duo would be effective, but she was wondering how the Quincy boy would handle it all. She hoped, no, craved his defeat. She wanted to see him severely perspire, to worry about his situation instead of just taking it with calm (as he had originally done). She would beat him again and again as much as she could. He would feel pain, terror, and anxiety. She wouldn't feel any satisfaction otherwise. Even if she lost, if she made her opponent bleed and and cry, she would feel content. She knew that this feeling she had was wrong 0 the emotions she was having were wrong. They would make her trip up and fall. But... She just couldn't get rid of this feeling - and she knew she would have Hell to pay for that.

His apologetic look across his face slowly melted away and was replaced with one of annoyance as Iwa spoke. Her words matched the kind of people he disliked the most, the ones that take everything way too seriously and get their pride hurt over the littlest things. Ug I'm in a no win situation here. If I beat her she's just going to be more upset and if I lose there's no telling what she will do to me, but the worst will be all that gloating these types like to do. Vannan lifted his right hand up from the side of his body, there was no way he could drop his guard with her now still that didn't mean he couldn't mess with her a bit.
“Ug you're one of those huh? Look cutie you need to relax and drop the tough guy act it isn't attractive. There's no reason to be so angry at me after all I'm just a drunken flirt.” Lifting his left hand to his mouth placing his index finger and his middle finger on his lips, pushing his lips together he blew a kiss to her at the same time he pulled his fingers away from his lips, he did all of this just to mock her. His actions all happened just as she released her Bakkoto. What he saw was a horrific transformation of Iwa, if he didn't throw up before he would of just now. It wasn't a shinigami's zanpakuto there was no way that they could make something so twisted. However what he did notice was that all of this was connected by her eye.
He didn't know what this was, but he didn't want to stand around too long just waiting to be attacked. He was up against a wall and didn't think that he could be attacked from behind, but that was wrong, he felt it knock him from behind. It pushed him away from the wall and made him trip for a second. The hit wasn't very strong, but still it was enough to cause a bit of pain for a few seconds. Vannan looked back to see what hit him and he saw that it was a pillar of stone that seemed to come out from the wall. It reminded him of an anime he saw before. He couldn't remember the name, but it did have a short blond guy as the main character who had a horrible temper about being called short.
He didn't really want to fight anymore so he had a plan he would try to get her so mad that she would make a mistake that he could exploit. There was a back draw to this plan it would mean he would have to make her angry and without getting killed. Then a wicked idea formed in his head a way he could really mess with this girl, and all it would require would be a simple kiss. However that was easier said than done this girl was after his head and getting so close to her would be almost suicide, but that wouldn't mean he wouldn't try it. Vannan smiled as he used his Hirenkyaku to get in close to her, just avoiding the claw that was under him, without knowing it was even there.
His step tech landed him right next to her on her right side in front of him was an empty street which he would use to make his escape after his move. He didn't waste any time as soon as he stopped moving he gently and quickly placed his lips on her cheek giving her a quick kiss before pulling away. “Thanks for the memories see you later.” Vannan spoke as he took a step passed her and used Hirenkyaku to step passed her and into the open street. “Give me a call when you want to do this again.” Vannan kept the momentum from his step tech to keep on running. However he could feel himself getting a bit tired from using all that reiatsu. His breathing got a bit heavier as he kept on running away from where Iwa was.

Iwa was actually a little glad that Vannan didn't like "her type". She was the way she was, and she wasn't going to change that. And, if it meant getting him off her back, she was glad to flaunt her "flaw" as he would call it. releasing her bakkoto, she could see the shock and disgust writhing in Vannan's face. She liked that reaction because it made her feel powerful and menacing. Iwa could also tell that he was clueless as to what her power was. Obviously, he had never met a rogue like her before, and she was not surprised at that. She hadn't met one of her kind yet either. Although Iwa was naturally a loner, she did want to see that someone was strong enough to pick this fate too.
Unfortunately, her hope of him losing interest in her was not fulfilled. He blew a kiss at her from across the street, deliberately intending to mock her. She clenched her fists he really wanted to die. What are you doing, Iwa? Are you really going to let him antagonize you like this? This is an obvious trick of the enemy to get you to lose your cool and get you off your guard. She tried to calm herself down. Iwa knew that the moment she lost it, he would win. She couldn't succumb to the temptations of the enemy. It was hard to quell her rage, but Iwa had done it before; she had trained to do it before.
She used a certain meditation technique she had picked up from somewhere to calm her nerves. She had to keep some of her focus on Vannan, but a lot of her attention went to refocusing her spirit and collecting herself mentally. Unfortunately, this came with a cost. For a split second, she lost sight of him, and since her attention had been focused on restraining her nerves, she couldn't react when he popped up beside her. This time, it was a real kiss - on the cheek. He said something really cheeky and then sped off down the empty street. Iwa couldn't let him get away with this. For a couple moments, it seemed like her meditation technique would all be a waste.
Iwa did a shunpo to follow after him and fell in line behind him, again. Her eyes seethed with rage - she said eyes (plural) because the creature was pretty angry too. After all, the kiss on the cheek had landed pretty close to it.It probably felt like it was being underestimated and made fun of. It was so disturbed, that Iwa thought it might pop out of her skull. It wanted to kill him, to make him pay. Iwa thought about that. As much as she wanted to kill him, Kazura had made it clear that killing humans was a no-no. Not like Kazura is here though, she thought. Could he be angry if she left a bloody mess? He couldn't know it was her...
Yes, Iwa was very angry, and coming up with any decent plan seemed harder than usual. He was running in front of her, but he wasn't quite out of her reach. She could do any number of things. Well, there were over 100 ways to skin a cat. Iwa used her manipulation of air pressure first. Although he was running pretty fast, as long as she focused, she could manipulate only the air pressure surrounding him. Vannan would start to feel the air get a lot denser. Since he would not expect it, it would produce some shock and toll on his body. He would inevitably slow down, even if it was just a little. It would be harder for him to move under the dense air pressure.
Then, Iwa would take that opportunity to strike. She had another way in which she could manipulate air pressure. She swung her arm in a wide arc, producing a highly dense-pressure shock wave from the motion. She hurled it straight at Vannan's back. Now that he had slowed down a bit, it would be harder to dodge - his instincts and speed would be affected. The blast only had 100 reiatsu strength, but it would be enough to knock Vannan back onto the ground and maybe take the wind out of him. If she missed, that was okay too. She could fire another one no problem. Whether Vannan had managed to dodge or not, Iwa fired another one directly at him. That would keep him busy.
Iwa laughed to herself. She wanted to make him suffer - slowly and painfully. It was bad to lose her temper; she knew that. But besides that, Iwa wasn't one to make all out attacks. She always planned, and even when she was fuming mad, like she was now, she preferred a slow and painful death rather than an all out one-hit KO. The parasite squirmed in anticipation. It was even less patient than Iwa was. It wanted blood now . That was one annoying thing about the creature. It kept spurring her on, and in this case, it wasn't helping. She heard it laughing maniacally and screaming furiously inside her head. She didn't usually hear its thoughts, but now they were coming out.

Vannan still couldn't believe that he had gotten away with kissing Iwa on the cheek. It seemed as if she was distracted when he did kiss her, what she was distracted by didn't matter to him all that he carried about is that he was able to get away without getting hit by her. He laughed a bit as he ran thinking of what kind of face she would have at the moment after he kissed her. He didn't have a chance to look at her face, but he knew it had to be priceless. These kinds of people always had the most animated reactions to everything, it was a shame he wouldn't be able to see it, but getting away to live another day was more important.
He could hear her running up behind him, he had hoped that his little kiss would of bought him more time, but it looked like it didn't. That was fine with the lead he had on her he was sure that he could try to escape into a busy street and vanish into the crowed. Even if she could sense his reiatsu, in such a large crowed even a master would have difficulty to pick someone out. That was his plan until he felt himself breathing a lot heavier than he should be. Something was wrong he knew his limits, he shouldn't be this tired yet and that's when it came to him, he didn't account for the alcohol.
He assumed it was that it was the alcohol he had. There was no way of him actually knowing that it was Iwa who was affecting the air around him. Pivoting on his right foot he turned himself around just in time to see a blast of air coming at him. Kicking off of the ground using his right foot he was just able to move to the left of the first air wave landing on the ground safely. He had dodged her attack, but it wasn't alone there was another one following right behind it and this one was aimed at where he was now. Taking a deep breath he used Hirenkyaku to dash behind a car avoiding the second attack.
This was getting more annoying each time he thought he was able to get away from this girl something got in his way. Still what was this girl's power? I mean first she's changing the earth around me and now she is tossing air at me what is this chick the god dam..... shit it was on the tip of my tongue.... I know this the guy could bend the elements and was bald. Still what the hell is her damn power. It seemed as if she could control anything she wanted, but there had to be a limit to it. He was able to catch a few breaths before he made his move.
Dashing out from behind the car he fired out three arrows at Iwa. These arrows would be a distraction as his real goal her eye on her right side. It seemed as if that was the source of her power and he wanted to destroy that. The moment she stopped moving to dodge his arrows he would fire an even stronger one aimed right at her eye. If she tried to block the arrows he would have them explode as well as fire an arrow at her right eye. For now this was his plan he hoped that it would work.
