Too late! The trap had been set, and Meian had fell straight in it; there was now no way to escape it. Before he could try to run away in outright terror, the poor man had already been stopped by a wide paw holding his shoulder; a paw he recognized just too well. As his gaze slowly turned to look at the one who had took him hostage, the wide, frightening grin that was shown to him made nothing to reassure him on the situation; he knew the kind of crazy that would soon follow just too well… but hey! The beast had just come to give him a ”surprise”, right?
…A ”surprise” that nearly sent the poor man in despair as he saw how colorful it was; a clear sign that nothing good was waiting for him. As Meian received this poisoned gift in his hand, the pirate-Captain started blabbering about incomprehensible references to something called a ”door prize”. “Congratulations, kiddo! You've won the door prize fer yer timely arrival, which is good considerin' yer...” Meian could clearly tell the lion was mocking his current clothes. Hey, it wasn’t his fault if he had never met those things they called ”pirates”; Raion could’ve at least sent a picture! “...costume. What a drab get-up; we'll have t'get ya something more exotic. So why don't ya change into yer new get-up, and we'll get ya into the party proper, right?”
What came as a polite request quickly sounded as a top-priority order to the young man, who soon understood a choice was simply inexistent; he had to do it, otherwise he’d bend to it against his will. A truly shameful act, this was… To think Meian would downright disobey a command from his very own Captain if he disapproved, and yet be forced to comply with this joke-of-an-order! Nonetheless, left with little choice, he decided to wear the new costume above his previous one, still too prideful to take it off in front of such a crowd. It would make no difference, except for the safety of the man’s pride…
Soon, though… Goodbye ground, t’was nice knowing ya! Even before he could realize it, the young man had been taken high in the sky, another prologue to an upcoming disaster. Slowly realizing his current location, Meian’s mind associated it with… ahem, another “disastrous event”. Oh, no no no! No tossing around, please! Nooo! Before he could resist his devilish fate, though, a loud voice came echoing in his ears. “Ladies n' gents, I hope y'all are enjoyin' the party!” A voice so disorienting, so debilitating that he was knocked out for a moment…
The lack of his mind still didn’t prevent him from taking part in this nightmare of his, though. “I hope yer all havin' a good time, 'cause I know I am! Before the festivities go any further, though, I wanted to introduce ya all to my good friend. What's a pirate without his parrot, am I right? Well, I'd like to introduce y'all...” And so, Meian was taken even higher in the air, shown to the crowd almost as a trophy. “To Polly! Who's a good parrot? Say hello to the crowd, Polly!” Since the ”parrot” was still swimming among the stars, the answer which came out was completely instinctive, although that was likely for the best; had he been conscious, he would’ve probably said something wrong, which wasn’t recommended for the moment. Instead, the words that came out of his lungs were… ”P-P-… Polly says hello…”
It would still take a bunch of seconds before Meian actually came out of ”Dreamland” and back into reality, at which point he’d realize what was going on; a degrading realization, mind you. Finally having a chance to take a look at his attire, he understood what he was dressed as… clearly this was a rainbow-bird! Confused from such a thing, he made a mental note to avoid messing with a real pirate at all costs; he didn’t want to go color-blind, after all. For now, though, another concern was on his mind, one that was crucial… it was a plan called ”Get the hell away from Raion’s shoulder!”.
Suddenly taking one fast swing backward, and given the beast’s awkward holding position, Meian would just drop back to the ground, the dear ground he had missed so much. Then, taking advantage of the fact he was back on his feet, the man ran for his life through the crowd, bumping in a few persons on the way; one of which was Raygin. Although it was likely a futile desire, Meian vaguely hoped the Captain wouldn’t rampage through his own party, at least not so soon. Reaching the other end of the ship, though, the poor man needed another plan; he had no place to run anymore.
Hiding behind one of the deck’s cannons, Meian quickly looked around for an escape plan; he had no choice but to disappear, or else he’d be prey to his demon’s grudge again. This ”escape plan” soon revealed itself, though; that girl Meian had briefly seen earlier, who went by the name Llusia, was nearby. Whispering, he tried to attract her attention as best as he could. ”Hey, you! Yes, you. Come here…” Talking a bit more loudly, although still with a nervous tone of voice, the poor man asked for assistance. ”I need you to help me get out of here… Elsewhere, anywhere, as long as it is far away. I must avoid this mad lion at all costs!” Of course, though, this wouldn’t be an easy task; after all, it was hard to hide a multi-colored parrot, in a party full of pirates…
”So… will you help me?”
