The words did indeed send a chill down Zeich's spine, and the Third Seat paused, eyes narrowing as he quickly considered how to act. The Senkaimon opened up, and he knew that the time for thinking was short; he had to hurry if he wanted even a chance at catching the boy before he could do any harm. However, even then it might be difficult; if the other sleeper agent had discovered that his position was compromised, he would have simply vanished, perhaps even escaping through a Senkaimon in order to hide within the World of the Living. It was all too possible that there was no actual opportunity to catch him. But Zeich was stubborn when it came to his job; if there was a threat to internal security, it had to be dealt with.
However, there was a conflict of interests in that same stubbornness; Zeich had a job to do, but he also had his own personal affairs to handle, namely his search for more information on Vizards. Normally, personal matters would have been pushed aside in favor of this breach of security, but with what Zeich feared about himself... he himself could become a larger breach. If his suspicions about Hollowfication were true, and the symptoms that he had seen in himself were but a precursor to the larger transformation that could possibly occur, then there was a possibility that the same madness and aggression that was visible in the “Vizards” he had seen thus far would possibly rise in him. If there was no way to reverse or at least mitigate the changes, then he would be the far greater threat. Better that he focus on this issue, the one he knew, then one he couldn't be certain of.
But at the same time, regardless of how he felt on the matter, the professional side of Zeich's brain told him that he couldn't just let it go either. Therefore he settled on a compromise, cutting off Yuja as she began to speak of black lightning; there were more important issues to worry about than her fragmented memory. “Yuja. Listen to me. I have a very important task for you, something I would normally not ask anyone to do in my place, but this situation calls for it. I need you to write up the map for me to find the Vizard hideout, as quickly as you can, and then I need you to go back to Seireitei.” The plan began to detail itself in his mind as he considered his options. “From there, I need you to take a description of the boy—I can give you a partial one from my recollection of the boy, and you can get a more complete one from the doctors at Squad Four—to Squad Seven's barracks, and inform them of the situation. Tell them that there is a sleeper agent by that description within Seireitei, and that it poses a significant threat. Use my name as necessary to gain assistance. You are to lead the investigation that will search for the boy, are we clear? I need your help on this, or else there is a chance that Soul Society could be in danger.”
Zeich hated to put the mission in someone else's hands, but he needed someone he could trust. Yuja, free of the parasite but not her Zanpaktou-fueled love, would be someone he could make small concessions towards in terms of dependability. She could be relied on, at least to some extent, if she believed she was helping him. If she thought to ask what he would be doing, his reply was simple. “I must remain here, and continue my investigation. It also has the potential to create a threat towards Soul Society, especially if it's tied into the sleeper agents. As you can see, I cannot be in two places at once... but I feel that this is where I am needed. It is why I need you to go and take my place in Seireitei, to mobilize a force to track down this sleeper unit. Do not take any unnecessary risks, either to yourself or the Squad Seven members who join you.”
