A chilling breeze swept through the land that was dotted with large hills and larger farms. Iwa counted at least ten farms while she was travelling on this road, and she started to think that there must be a large town nearby. All this food had to be going -somewhere-; it was her observation that the bigger the city, the more farms appeared near its boundaries. At least that was true in her time, but maybe things were different now. She had discovered along her journey that many cities were simply resorting to trading the commodities they needed. Instead of producing things for themselves, they took what they needed from those places that already had them. As someone who always rejected the notion of relying on someone else, it annoyed her. Putting that aside, however, she kept walking along the dirt path.
It was another uninteresting, dull, lifeless day. The birds had stopped chirping and no kids were running around screaming and laughing. The silence was a blessing, however. As much as she liked her peace and quiet, at this rate, she knew her mental and physical acuity would continue to deteriorate without any proper training or battles. Iwa started cracking her knuckles over again, trying to occupy her time and mind. It was unfortunate that she constantly desired action-or something- but was completely uninterested in too many things. She went through life in a pretty random way: she would only pursue something when she felt like it. Basically, what she did was determined by (most importantly) if she felt like it and if it made logical sense. If one of those was not present, then she would not bother with it. That being said, she was soon presented with a choice. A large creature stood on the same path just a little farther from her. Obviously, from its looks it was a Hollow.
It seemed to be heading in the same direction as Iwa, and as she climbed another hill, she could see rows of towering buildings and and industrialization that could only be attributed to major populated city. She looked at the figure closely while she thought that it had not sensed her presence yet. This was a chance she had been waiting for to increase her fighting ability and to get stronger. That was her only goal- for now- so she felt a growing desire for action. Her interest was piqued, although that was rare, and she could feel the adrenaline pound within her. Taking a deep breath, she slowed down for a couple of seconds. She would NOT rush into things- that was one thing she hated most. She would take things on calmly and logically. Setting emotions of excitement aside, she would focus on her target and formulate a strategy. For this kind of situation, it was probably better to attack first, especially if she could catch him off guard.
The first thing she noticed was the Hollow's size. It certainly was massive, and this could definitely be a major factor/threat. So far, he seemed to be walking on four legs. Whether he could stand on two, she did not know, but it was best not to assume he couldn't. Since he was currently on four legs, he was near the ground- which would give Iwa an excellent chance to strike from above with her sword and strike a damaging blow if he was not expecting it. All his hands and feet had sharp claws, and his tail even seemed to have this feature. If she was going to attempt close quarter combat, she would have to be continuously mindful of those talons. Or, she could try and cut off those legs, which would help quite a bit in the long run. Finding her perfect strategy, she decided to go ahead and make the first move. Instead of going for the aerial attack, which would leave her very open for a counterattack if he noticed her coming, she did a simple charge at the beast and swung her katana at its tail in an upward slice. It would definitely notice her now, and she would have to be ready for the incoming counterattack. She stepped back a couple of paces to try and get out of his reach for now. He didn't seem to be too fast, so that might work to her advantage.
It was cold. not cold enough to justify altering his body temperature but cold enough to be annoying. He wa sin the human world a bit tired. hungry of course. and then this little girl walks up and cuts him across the tail. his tail was exceptionally thick and large so the cut would be bothersome but not crippling. he roared angrily and reared up onto his hind legs. the sound of his rage would echo for miles. he swung his heavy hands down at the woman in order to crush her. she was obviously a shinigami due to her sword. Zen HATED shinigami. this girl would pay. his hands would crash down upon her if she didn't move and the claws he was hitting with would cut right through her.
wether this worked or not zen would quickly retreat with his stepping technique and cloak himself in his camouflage. the girl would be unable to locate him. now. Zen was going to whipe her off the face of the earth. she would make a nice meal. He licked his teeth in anticipation and sat down. while he was invisible he would convert some of his energy towards more necessary things. such as giving himself enough power to destroy this girls sword. it was an annoyance. this girl annoyed him. this place had turned out to be annoying. he was going to kill her. eat her and then go back home to find some less aggravating food.

Iwa had been successful in lopping off the beasts tail, which immediately alerted it to her presence and sent a counterattack back at her. It was nothing really. She simply jumped to the side before its claws could come down upon her. Her speed was definitely greater than its. However, it backed away before she got another attack in and cloaked itself somehow. That was annoying. Her energy sensory was substandard, to put it mildly. It could attack at any moment, at any angle. Okay, take this calmly. What can you gather about this creature so far? Well, its claws seem to be its main source for attack, so it's probably safe to assume that it will resort to close quarter combat with the level it's at. Being unable to see it is annoying, but there are ways around that. I can probably hear him or even feel the displacement of the air as he moves."
It seems like the type to hide until it has the perfect chance to charge and use brute force. Maybe there is a time limit to its camouflage. Either way, I can still beat it. The question is, should I release my bakkoto? It would cost her reiatsu- reiatsu that she didn't have much to begin with. And if she couldn't see it, what good would it do? Unless she found where he was hiding before he attacked. Otherwise, it would have an advantage over her. Hopefully, it wouldn't be able to retain its camouflage and attack at the same time. If that was true, it will try and attack me in a blind-spot or a place that is most difficult to react and defend. Which means- my rear. Of course, it will try to get real close to me and then deal an attack at real close range.
My senses are pretty average: would I be able to hear him moving? If I watched the ground, I might be able to see the disturbance of the dust or dirt as it tramples its way to get me. Of course, I wouldn't be able to see anything behind me. And looking at the ground does leave me open for attacks above me." This was becoming a good brain teaser for her. It was testing her strategy, her fighting ability. That was what she wanted and what she hoped for. It would certainly pay off in the long run. The only thing she could do was wait... and react when the time came. Hopefully, that would be enough.
She looked closely at the ground, but also watched the world around her to try and sense any movement at all. She would watch and listen. She had a good eye to see things- a very focused eye. This monster was big and so would leave big footprints or holes in the ground. That means, she could definitely see it coming before it reached her. But for good measure, she would release her bakkoto powers. Gathering her reiatsu, her katana suddenly disappeared to be replaced by a pair of steel gauntlets. They reached up and covered her arms. A faint glow came from under her eye-patch, but this was undetectable for the most part. She would manipulate the earth around her to weaken his camouflage and his hiding place.
She lifted the dirt and threw it in a wide circle around her. Rocks and clumps of dirt flew everywhere, inevitably spraying over the Hollow and revealing its huge grotesque form. Once she caught sight of its outline, she headed straight for it. It was sitting for some reason. But she would keep it on the run. As she ran, she kept throwing the dirt around her to locate it if it started to run and hopefully confuse or obstruct its vision. She was faster, so eventually, she would catch up with it. With her trained eye, she would hunt it down and give it a good punch in the head. It would probably connect and if it did, she would then proceed to grab one of its arm and twist until it snapped. Even if it didn't snap, she would use her other arm to throw another punch in the face or the chest. it would probably retaliate, but she could always dodge, and her steel gauntlets would certainly be able to take the blow. She would keep attacking it again and again until she killed it. Its camouflage would do it no good. She would definitely emerge the victor.
Zen knew what was coming. the very moment her weapon transformed he knew what had happened. it was shikai. Once long ago he could have handled it. but right now he had to get out of range. in a single movement Zen used salvaje Carrera he was up in the air in an instant and immediately re-ngaged his stealth tech, he was visible for a single instant but by the time she noticed he would already be gone again. He was in the air waiting for her. her attempt to find him would have failed by now. now it was zens turn. he let go of the airground and used another salvaje Carrera. he barrled straight down towards her at 4.5 times her own speed. should he impact it would hit with 11 tons of force. the blow would be tremendous.
Zen hardly expected a shinigami to go down so easily however. He would quickly move into several swipes of his powerful claws attempting to slice her in half with each attack. his claws were sharp enough that the moment he touched her the fight would be over. it was Zens turn to whipe her out. she would die by his hand. that was all there was too it. He refused to elt her continue this day after starting a fight with him. he just wanted to relax. but no she had to interfere. it was her time to die.

Iwa chased the Hollow, attempting to land another strike while she could sort of see it. All of a sudden, however, it vanished from right in front of her. It must have used some incredible speeds because she knew where it had been a second before. This was a dangerous situation. If he could move faster than her, it would be tough to notice his attack and dodge at the same time. She spread around another wide burst of dirt-he wasn't on the ground anymore though. With her focused eye, she could vaguely see his outline jump into the sky. He must be going for an aerial attack, and if he used the same speed he had just used a moment ago, she would be toast. A quick and immediate reaction was vital. She immediately did a shunpo to her right while releasing a large burst of earth into the sky for a good 50 feet all around. The earth would give her a good disguise and some ability to hide from the monster. Since she did this right after she shunpoed away from her original position, it would take him a good while before he figured out her new location.
While the earth provided a shield to hide her from her enemy's eyes, she could still see him through the film. He was back on the ground after a failed attack and searching for her. She would make her own strike before he got any chance. She created a wall of earth from the ground that would crash in behind him. Whether he dodged it or not, she was already preparing another one. If he was somehow able to dodge he would probably try to use his fast flash move to get away. However, Iwa believed he didn't have the instincts or senses good enough to dodge completely. The first attack, if landed should send him flying and boggle his senses for a bit. In that case, he wouldn't be in the right position or mindset to dodge an immediate follow up attack.
She would send another pillar of earth crashing down against him; this one would pin him against the ground and leave him reeling in pain. The hollow would receive no mercy. She would continue to attack again and again-he would have to find some way to escape or die right then and there. Of course, that would be her preferred outcome. It was better if this fight didn't last too long. Even if he used his flash step move, she would still be able to find him like she did before. This hollow would regret its pitiful existence. It would learn its mistake-its encounter with her. No matter what, she would win. She had to. Dust and dirt lay scattered everywhere; it was a testament to their battle and their struggle. The earth rose up for her, and it would crush her enemy. His attempt at escape was futile and useless. her victory would come.
Remaining Reiatsu: 330/530 Bakkoto Stage 7: 2/3

Iwamichi made the mistake of assuming zen would look for her. he did not. his attack failed to kill her and so he jumped into the air to search. as he did so the first wall hit him launching him into the air farther. he performed an airground once he was up there and continued to climb higher into the air attempting to get out of range. that wall had bruised and battered much of his body and he was obviously nursing his wounds from so high. he engaged his stealth once more hoping that this far away it would keep him hidden.
he looked down at her and grimaced. shikai. he hated shikai. his current life had nowhere near enough power to fight against it. it angered him to no end. this woman. jsut like all shinigami she jumped straight to conclusions. kill first ask questions never. it was horrible. Zen hated her. absolutely despised her. and he had an idea. he roared loudly releasing his stealth again and moving towards the city. he had a plan for dealing with this woman. she controleld the earth obviously. what if zen used her pwoers to his advantage?
this woman was a thorn in his side. and he would pluck her out.

The monster had not decided to attack her like she hoped. For now, she was still in a vulnerable position. One: she could not see him at the moment. Two: her bakkoto would soon be up, or she would have to give more reiatsu to keep it going. Three: he was probably somewhere high above her, waiting to strike. Ugh. If inly she had been able to kill him already. How many more attacks was it going to take? She had better get it done before she completely ran out of turns to use the bakkoto. That was worst case scenario, but it was also possible. She would definitely be dead at that point. No, she would overcome the beast.
She gathered her remaining power and shot a huge wave of earth and rocks straight into the air. But that was not all, she could continue to manipulate this earth. She jumped into the middle, practically invisible to the Hollow. A taste of his own medicine. She used air ground to stop herself at this point. The rocks and dirt were still floating in the air. But now, she used her powers to spin the earth in a circle, faster and faster, like a tornado. The earth gained so much speed that debris flew out of the vortex in all directions. It sprayed dust and dirt everywhere. This was more for an attacking purpose than finding the Hollow. He could be higher than this original attack combo, so she had to raise it higher. She stopped most of the earth from falling back to the ground and shot it upwards once more.
She repeated her move, just higher this time. No matter how high he was, she would get him. That was assuming that he was up here at all. If he was on the ground, it would still be a devastating storm of rocks and dirt coming from high above. it would still be difficult to dodge. She kept spinning and the earth kept flinging in all directions. She thought it was a pretty smart move. Hopefully, the beast was already injured and this would be enough to cut short his fight. Would I kill him? She hoped, but it was probably unlikely unless she hit him full force fifty times. It was possible. Finally, the dust and earth began to settle. Her bakkoto began to change back, except she stopped it. She recharged her powers, except this time, she would go to a higher level. Level Four: she had not previously gone to this point. The Hollow should count itself lucky to have reached this far and die by her magnificent power. No more games now. Just death and destruction. He would learn just how wrong he was to have crossed her path.
Her next attack was also swift and merciless. She could manipulate air pressure now. She did a simple kick across her chest diagonally, but with her new powers, it would create a wave of highly condensed air pressure. She wasn't expecting that attack to hit; it was only for getting used to the technique. Now, came the fun part. She launched herself into the air again. At the highest point in her trajectory, she did a back flip kick, sending a shockwave high above her. She knew how to bend and twist her body in many ways thanks to her knowledge and skill of karate. As her back flip came full circle, she spun her body diagonally, kicking a wave at an angle - diagonally and to the right.
She continued with another back flip kick and one diagonally to her left. Her body flowed freely, turning about like a graceful top. Her shockwaves flew out everywhere - towards the heavens, towards the ground, to her right, to her left. He would not be able to escape. He would be hit at least once. He would come, sprawling towards the ground, either dead or half alive. If not, she would continue to drive away at her foe. Both were probably annoyed at each other- both wanting the other to die. it was a tense atmosphere. Her attacks had been ruthless, rapid, relentless. How could he survive? it was best to think of another plan, just in case. She focused on the ground and the sky, looking for any sign of the beast. He would have to show eventually, especially if he wanted to attack.
The shinigami was a stubborn one. Zen was just about frothing with rage when she refused to get up. But on the brightside she had fell for Zens ploy and followed him into the city. He was forced once more to use salvaje carrera. he burst out of her assault and slammed downwards through multiple buildings. they would begin collapsing under their own weight and hopefully distract the woman from her mission. the buildings would slowly and surely collapse and with where she was. they would collapse onto her. Zen had planned it perfectly. or so he thought. That was until the girl began doing something Zen refused to believe he was watching.
She had just released her zanpakutou a second time.and it had just gotten stronger. There was only one logical conclusion the ancient hollow could possibly come too. BANKAI!! he thought silently. Any hope he had of victory was nearly driven out. But he was old and stubborn. such a power was far beyond what he was capable of dealing with. But he did not care. The woman would die by his hand if he had any say in the matter. Her ability seemed to have given her shockwaves. Zen Was not pleased with this development. He had an idea though. He cloaked himself again and climbed into the air. he got just above Iwa. He was going to do something she might remember. He used his salvaje carrera once more and slammed into her from above.
He weighed a grand total of 11 tons. he was hitting her at speed far exceeding her own and with tremendous strength. the combination of these three factors and her own pre-ocupation with attempting to hurt Zen would amount to one mean hit if successful. Were she unable to avoid such an assault she would be splattered onto the pavement rather painfully. regardless Zen would take his two hands and slam them into eachother form both sides of her. His body was ill suited for human martial arts but Zen was no stranger to battle. His tail would swing forward and strike directly into The woman with its claws.
Any of these moves could be successful and any of them could fail miserably. One thing was for certain though. These two were not happy with eachother. The dragon and the reaper. Zen stared into the girls eyes as he spoke his next few words regardless of what she did."You are under the assumption that i came to hurt these people. Did you never consider perhaps that i might enjoy the human world without eating them?" Zen glared into the young shinigami. She had assumed just as they always assumed. Nobody in the soul society cared about anything but their own foolish views.

The Hollow was not happy that Iwa seemed to be getting stronger. That made her almost laugh. And he was probably thinking that was the best she could do. Well, she might not be able to advance her bakkoto anymore, but that did not mean she had no more tricks up her sleeve. Iwa had sent many different attacks at him at once. He seemed to dodge none of them. Maybe he was assuming that they would miss? Well, that could not be the case for every single one. After all, Iwa was firing charged shockwaves, and rocks and debris before that, in all directions. He would be hit multiple times, each with a good deal of damage. So, saying that none of her attacks managed to hit or break his mask, he would still be thrown back with pain to his arms, chest, abdomen, etc. His body would be seriously strained and to its limit. Iwa was back down on the ground after her series of forceful attacks. The Hollow had made another mistake in its weakened state. It obviously camouflaged itself once more, retreating into its original power to launch a counter. But that was not fool-proof.
Iwa noticed that even in his camouflaged state, the Hollow still emitted a shadow. It was a very large creature; there was no way there wouldn't be one. He climbed higher into the sky, she judged on the basis of the enlarging shadow. He was getting closer to the sun, which was now high above the sky in its full glory. She assumed that he was trying to gain more ground above her while he thought he was passing by undetected. Then, his third mistake. He quickly started to hurl his body down towards Iwa. Yes, it was very quick - she had seen how fast he could move before. But, he didn't remember that his camouflage did not work simultaneously with an attack. The moment he launched that offensive, hurling his body toward her, he appeared. Iwa was already looking directly above her because that was where his shadow had been. It was easy to spot him, now hurtling down towards her. Although he was quick, Iwa spotted this a mile away (quite literally actually). Therefore, it was easy to dodge. His course was already set, so most likely, he could not change his body's fall mid-flight. He was already careening towards that one spot rapidly.
Iwa jumped to her left, putting some space between her and the Hollow's marked landing. If he did land, there would most likely be a large shockwave or some aftermath. He was a very heavy creature, after all. But it would not be a problem to avoid that if she wanted. She did have a different idea in mind, though. She was still able to use her Bakkoto. The thing seemed to be sorely underestimating her. She raised up the earth at the exact spot that she calculated he would land. It was the same size as the beast in width and in length. She raised it quickly, heading straight for the Hollow which was throwing itself towards that exact spot. The earth and the hollow would meet half way and collide - in a bone-crushing and earth-shattering smack. The humans themselves had figured out that for every action, and in this case a collision, there were equal and opposite forces. The same amount of force that that massive Hollow put on that patch of earth would be exerted on him as well. Its body would, most likely, not be able to function properly (if at all) after a collision like that. But, maybe it could. Iwa heard another loud whack as the Hollow's body went through the whole barrier of rock she had put up and collided now with the stable ground.
He probably wouldn't be able to stand. Even so, she leaped back over to the body, strewn upon the ground. Her iron gauntlets twinkled in the light of the noon-day sun. Her gauntlets had grown after she had gone to a higher stage, so now it encompassed her feet as well. It probably looked a little odd to have an incomplete armor such as this - iron mail encompassing only her arms, shoulders, feet, and shins; however, she did not care at this moment. She would develop the other parts later. The parasite squirmed in anticipation in her right eye socket. It was odd to share a body with this thing. It was almost certain that that thing wouldn't understand what it was, even if it saw it. The Hollow couldn't think beyond the realm of shinigamis. Well, she didn't give him much time to think or do anything before she pounded her spiky fist into the Hollow's mask. It shattered and fell to pieces. So, that would be the end. Would it die here, or somehow survive? Well, that was not her problem anymore. The battle was over; that was all that counted now.
