Suddenly, and without notice, twelve rings formed themselves within the sky over that island. It was just on the outskirts, on the rocky shores near the roaring ocean. Those rings just hovered there, revolving in place one behind the other in one straight line. All of a sudden, a figure shot out of the white veil in the center of the frontmost ring. After that, seven more came; all one after the other. They shot out of that line of twelve rings with incredible speed and dropped suddenly like flies towards the island. "VOOOOOOOOOO! WE'RE SO HIGH!" proclaimed the voice of one of those eight. This one was Padrone Decimo. "HAHAHAHAHA! THIS IS FUN! called out another voice. That voice belonged to Feere O'Male. Their appearance was near the shores, so their sudden arrival and yelling probably wouldn't be noted at all.
The rings stopped hovering in the air and dropped towards the eight falling figures, following after them and once more lining up underneath those eight. With some kind of lucky precision, the eight were able to land in the line of rings while falling and disappeared without a trace. They were seen shooting out of the bottom most ring, though this time they were closer to the ground. With a soft thud, the eight were able to land without any problems. "You cut it a little too close there, Padrone." came the calm voice of the one who had shot out first. On his face was a calm, confident smile, and he was now facing the group of seven before him. That smile would probably be known to most, as it was a common thing on the face of that man. He was Jin Yamada, Leader of the Bount and Bount Executive for Redemption.
Jin stared at the group around him and breathed in deeply, taking in the air in this place. He looked around the area, checking out the beautiful fauna. Despite this shore being so rocky, there was still some small fauna growing around. Small flowers and bushes were scattered all around the place. Jin took these in and smiled. He was thinking that the plants in this part, though sparse, would come to the attention of one of the comrades he had brought with him today. He had thought this would be a good experience for her. She hadn't been on any missions with him yet and he wanted a chance to try out some of the things they had been practicing together. Jin looked towards her in that moment and flashed that smile of his once more. "Hey Mirielle, the plants in this place are looking pretty nice. They're pretty tough to be growing on this rocky shore. What do you think?" the Bount Leader asked.
Jin needed all the help he could get for this one. That was why he brought the whole team. Don, Padrone, Feere, Jikashi, Otto, and even Gatz. He never even usually brought Gatz on missions because he never really left his lab. This time, however, Gatz insisted. He wanted a chance to find some new specimens here on this island and conduct experiments. Since Gatz was going to come along, Jin just decided to bring the rest of the family. Yeah, he started calling them a family recently after he met with Franz. It felt good being able to refer to them as his Bount brethren. Jin was smiling and taking it all in. He knew that this mission was pretty important, especially since Death-Sama had informed him that Satsujun would be here. Jin was warned not to confront that man while on this mission, at least not alone. He definitely wouldn't be doing that any time soon. He had a scar and graying bangs to remind him of what happened last time.
His main mission, according to Death-Sama was to explore the island and find out what Satsujun was up to. Anything he could gather on the island and Satsujun's activities would be helpful. He was supposed to meet up with Arashi Manako too apparently. Until that time, he would just explore this place and see what it was like. According to Death-Sama, this place only became visible in the summer months. That was good for Jin. His powers worked faster in an already humid climate. He could also use some of his yoyo without having to release. Everything was looking good so far. Everyone had landed safely and accounted for. It was probably time to head out now. "We should probably start checking out this place. Remember, try to stay with the group and don't get lost. That goes mainly for you Padrone." Jin said. "Worry not Jin, I'll watch him." Don assured him, his voice full of confidence. Jin nodded towards Don and then he looked at Padrone, Feere, Jikashi, Otto, Gatz and finally Mirielle before turning around and sliding his hands into his trenchcoat. "Alright, let's go!" he called out as he began heading towards the large forest before them.

Mirielle’s nerves were on edge, and the feeling in the pit of her stomach was some combination of butterflies and thumb-tacks. It was her first official mission in Redemption, and she was in a crowd of fellow Bount….male Bount. Being the only girl invited to the sausage party was cute, but it was also slightly intimidating. Add in the landing that Padrone’s powers had caused, and you had one recipe for a very uneasy girl. She glanced up as Jin addressed her, a small, confident smile forming on her face. Her confidence in her team, however, was nowhere near the level Jin seemed to have. So far, the one had nearly allowed them to die on the fall. A trust fall that could’ve cost her life wasn’t Mirielle’s idea of team building, and Padrone’s near slip up had set her on edge. The fact that Jin seemed to acknowledge that the other Bount needed baby sitting only made the girl wonder why he was even there.
”You’re right Jin. They’re quite hardy.” Mirielle answered, strolling over to glance at some of the flowering plants nearby, “Of course, only the strongest of flowers bloom in such adverse conditions.”
Mirielle strolled back over lazily as Jin mentioned entering the forest, her eyes calm as she assessed the growing trees before them; they weren’t as tropical as one would expect for an island in the middle of the ocean, but perhaps that had to do with the fact it was the Atlantic they had been heading to. The Summer heat and weather seemed to be treating them well, and as such they were prime support for one of Mirielle’s Dolls. Brushing a hand down her hunter green baby-doll dress, Mirielle began a medium gait to stay within the middle of the group of Bount; considering it was a recon mission first and foremost, Mirielle had also donned a skintight black spandex cat-suit, something that only a real life spy, thief, ninja, or dominatrix had any real reason to own. The fact that Mirielle was a little bit of all of these was something no one else in the group would probably realize, but that didn’t really matter. Her boots, calf high and black, were zipped up and finding purchase in the ground on the shore line, that irrefutably wonderful combination of pebbles and sand and sheer rock interrupting the otherwise soft texture under foot. If the men in the group gave her odd looks for her outfit, so be it. Mirielle knew how to dress herself, and while it would have been more reasonable to just wear a different pair of shoes or full on hiking boots, her black pair was cute, with a modest heel that would probably help her more than hinder her in the event of a fight. The dress? Well, frankly put, even a woman with as healthy a sexual appetite as Mirielle’s had to show some modesty, and letting a group of strangers see all of her fun bits being hugged by spandex was just not happening.
“Should I release Huldra to scout ahead into the forest?” Mirielle piped up, doing her best to be a team player. Jin had seen Huldra in action before, and knew of her botanical nature; though she’d never demonstrated all of her powers, the buxom bark Doll had the ability to synchronize with trees, allowing Mirielle to gain information from places further away than she’d usually have access to. It was a handy ability in situations to spy on, but then again Mirielle didn’t know if any of the other collected Bounts had their own way of surveying the terrain. Not wanting to seem over eager, the girl continued her pace into the trees without even changing her expression.
At the edges of Mirielle’s mind, nagging thoughts began to creep in, telling her it was pointless to even try. These other Bount were going to leave her, just like all of the others had in time. What was the point of trying to befriend them if they’d be gone anyways? Mirielle was better off alone, lest she get another member of her kind killed. That’s how Mateus died, protecting her from Quincy and Shinigami alike on a cold Russian night. It was all Mirielle was good for, after all. Losing people she cared for. Watching others die around her. Why bother at all? It would be so much easier to just slip away now, and lie under a tree, letting the whole world pass her by. Better for Mirielle, and better for all of the others too. She wasn’t strong enough to be any help.
These dark thoughts, edging away Mirielle’s confidence, weren’t an uncommon thing. Truth be told, if a psychiatrist were to ever get a chance at diagnosing the Bount, they’d realize that, ever since her transformation from mortal to Bount, the girl had suffered from an acute case of bipolar disorder laced with a heavy dosage of depression. Mirielle’s human life had been ended by her own friends and family, and the psychological scars this had left on her were evident, and with the death of Mateus the full sway of her mood swings was finally allowed to roam free. A common sign of her disorder were the intense depths of both her euphoric and depressed states; needless to say, at this point, Mirielle was swinging towards the latter, not the former. Jin’s sparring match with her had seen the female Bount in a generally confident mood, so if things continued at this pace, then the whole group would probably pick up a very different side of Mirielle. Only a hand full of things could interrupt the descent into despair that Mirielle was skirting at that point: her rage and hatred towards Shinigami and Quincy; her Dolls, particularly Myling, helped ease the pain or shake her free of depression’s grasp; and, of course, a life or death situation could snap Mirielle from it. This wasn’t to say that Mirielle was doomed to wallow in her own self pity if none of these events occurred. Given the nature of her disorder, nearly anything could set Mirielle off again, skyrocketing to wards the euphoria she relished.
“Not that it really matters, I guess.” Her tone began to even, deaden really. It would be up to the other Bount to interpret this mild change of events.

Cierro climbed over some rock formations as he made his way to the center of the island. He had been sent on a mission of infiltration and reconnaissance. The island was unexplored for the most part, and from Cierro’s point of view, it appeared that it was infertile as well. There was little to no vegetation where Cierro was and the ground was rocky. This was certainly not the ideal place to go to for a summer vacation. Cierro took note that he would likely not see any hot babes in bikinis during this mission, and that made him die a little inside. The first thing that the Octavo was looking to do was meet up with the other arrancar that had arrived before him. The eighth espada wasn’t alone on this mission and was receiving backup from other arrancar who had scouted out the island before Cierro’s arrival. Sonken Kouhai was not above having his grunts do unimportant tasks such as exploring the land and reporting their findings to a higher ranked officer such as Cierro. Cierro was an espada. His precious time could not be wasted wandering around on some island trying to find where to go.
So the first thing Cierro needed to do was meet his backup at the designated area, which was just up ahead, and receive further briefing along with any information that his support may have uncovered. Cierro’s face was in its trademark grin as he hopped from boulder to boulder with his hands sunk into his pockets. The Octavo was eager to get his infiltration mission started, because the sooner he got it started the sooner he would be finished. The sooner he finished, the sooner he’d be able to go back to peeping on hot girls in the shower or sneaking into a strip club. Cierro was not one that sought out work. He was much more comfortable chilling in his room on his couch with a Dr. Pepper, a box of tissues, and his pornography DVD featuring Asuka Hitotoki. “Ah, Asuka...” thought the perverted espada, “How complicated our relationship has become...” The Novena espada had made it quite clear that she cared nothing for Cierro, but the Octavo was not one to be shaken that easily. He was a persistent one, and since that mission all those years ago in the mall where Cierro had tricked her out of all her clothes, he’d obsessed about her like... well... a stalker. But a very good one stalker at that.
Things had changed for the worse recently, though. Ever since Cierro’s skirmish with Kuroi, the espada had gained all sorts of knowledge about many of his coworkers, including Asuka. It was after ingesting Kuroi’s blood that the Octavo had learned that Asuka was, in fact, married to a shinigami! But she wasn’t married to just ANY shinigami. Asuka was married to Shinsei Tan’O, a member of Squad 0. How did that even work? A shinigami and an arrancar? It just wasn’t fair. If Asuka was getting some from a shinigami, then Cierro wanted some sweet, soul reaper pussy as well. Oh well, that wouldn’t happen until he finished the mission he was currently in the middle of. So with little change in his expression, Cierro arrived at the rendezvous point where his backup was supposed to meet him and brief him on the layout of the island. It was only after hearing the island’s layout that he’d be able to best determine where his skills were best put to use.
Then there was Jin Yamada, the bount leader, who just happened to be on the same island as him. Neither Cierro nor Jin would be aware that the other was in such close proximity, but the Octavo possessed the advantage here. Even if they’d never met each other, Cierro knew much about Jin’s doll, Hitze. In fact, Cierro knew everything about Jin that Kuroi did. It had just been a matter of drinking a small drop of Kuroi’s blood. Upon accomplishing this, Cierro had gained all of the Segunda’s memories, including the ones involving Jin. The eighth espada was completely prepared for this mission and might even be a liability if left to do what he wanted by the bounts. His mission was not one of violence, however. Cierro was a spy, and a damn good one at that. Reconnaissance and infiltration was his mission, and that would remain his mission until events changed.
"Cierro." A voice said to the Arrancar from nearby. If he turned around, he'd see an Arrancar in white. This Arrancar wore a white leather coat and pants, with black shoes. He also wore some kind of white, skeletal helmet over his face, with two large goat horns protruding from the top. His mask remnant was probably on the part of his face which was covered by the helmet. This outfit signified that the Arrancar standing before Cierro was a member of Exequias, the powerful unit which worked under Shiroi Hokai. It had probably been Exequias which had been scouting the island before Cierro got to it. And, this man seemed to be quite skilled as well. Somehow, his aura radiated some form of talent. He was one of Shiroi's finer soldiers, it seemed.
"I am codenamed Rue." the Arrancar said, standing at attention, straight as a pillar. "I have been ordered to serve you in any way you desire which pertains to the mission, and that if my death should be required, so be it." It seemed that he was a model member of the Exequias, because he was showing a large amount of discipline. As a matter of fact, it was possible that while he had been ordered to be prepared for death, Cierro himself would face consequences from the leader of Exequias if this man, codenamed Rue, happened to die on this mission. Therefore, he would have to be careful not to order this man's death. It was another story if the man simply died as a natural part of the mission, of course. Regardless, there was more to say.
"This island is shaped like a crescent moon." Rue observed. "It is mostly wild forest, covered in powerful animals. All of the animals have reiatsu. There are Hason and Hollows present on this island as well. A lot of them. This is probably how the Bount of this island feed. There is an enormous city in the middle of the island, filled with perhaps other races, but mostly Bount from what I have gathered. Judged by an estimate of the Bount population by Kouhai-Sama and Shiroi-Sama, it can be inferred that this city in fact contains at least half of the Bount population. There seem to be around 3200 Bount in this city." He had gathered quite a bit of information for Cierro to work off of. "Right now, there is a sacred temple or worship in the city center. I believe Kouhai-Sama intended for us to steal an ancient relic in there."
Meanwhile, over on Jin and Mirielle's side, nothing happened. Interaction for that moment was between those Bount, though there was one thing for certain. A huge reiatsu crowd could be sensed in the middle of the island. And, if they went to see it, they'd see an enormous dome of some sort of transparent, water-like substance. Encased inside of it, much like what one would imagine Atlantis to look like, was a city of towering, modern looking skyscrapers, but also of rural and traditional buildings. It was like all sorts of time periods has blended together for this city. And it was truly, absolutely, unimaginably majestic. And it was also something beyond any of that. It was the home of all of the Bount.
OOC: Note, the Exequias guy, Rue, uses white as his text color. I did not forget to color the text.

The small gathering of Bount had made their way only a few feet into the dense forest when Mirielle offered to scout ahead. Jin wondered just how she would use her doll to scout ahead. From their battle, Mirielle had seemed like a direct combat type of fighter, just like Mirielle. She had used some kind of ability to attack him from a distance by sending her fingers as roots through the ground. Was she also able to sense things in this same way through the ground? Huldra's bark-like armor gave off the appearance of some kind of plant-like being, so it could be possible. "Huldra can help Otto's doll. Two scouters are always better than one. The other can cover something one can't sense." Jin said. He turned to face the gathering of Bount before walking any further into the dense forest. He nodded at the man to Mirielle's diagonal right, just infront of her.
The man looked pretty hardcore with his trimmed white hair and well-muscled structure. He looked to be some kind of war veteran actually. "Otto, have your doll scout ahead. Mirielle's doll can cover it. Kassen Oro said there are Bount on this island, and I don't think they know we're not hostile yet. So, some of them could be hiding in the forest and concealing their reiatsu, something your doll probably won't pick up on entirely." Jin said in a calm manner. He was speaking like some kind of general as he gave directions to his squad. This was all like some covert ops spy type mission thingy thing. Jin then heard Mirielle speak up again. He noted the change in her tone. One moment she had sounded eager to help and the next, she was declining that offer. The tone of her voice even changed. Jin wasn't sure what had happened in only a few seconds. He suddenly nodded towards someone in the back near Mirielle after he was done giving his orders.
A hand suddenly placed itself on Mirielle's shoulder as they walked through the forest. If she turned to look, she'd see who the hand belonged to. He looked pretty well built and gave off an aura of warmth and confidence. "Mirielle, was it?" the man named Don asked her. "I'm Don. A pleasure to meet you it is. If you ever need anything, you can come to me. As the right hand man, that's what I'm for." he spoke. The way he spoke that last line was quite confidently. It bordered on arrogance to be honest. Don then let go of her shoulder and nodded over to Padrone. "Padrone's a reliable guy. Don't worry about him. Everyone here is reliable. Jin is only worried he might sense someone strong and run off on his own. You see, he loves to fight." Don tried to assure her.
"HAHAHAHA! YOU ALMOST KILLED US VERKEHR! NO, IT WASN'T MY FAULT! IT WAS YOURS!" came the sudden outburst from Padrone. He was arguing with his doll it seemed, which was at the moment constantly floating around the eight as the twenty separate rings. There was no sound heard from those rings, so it was probably assumed that it only spoke to Padrone through some psychic connection. Don chuckled to himself and returned his attention to Mirielle. "Don't worry about this mission too much. We're all here as a team. We work well together, ever since we all met that time trying to invade Soul Society. We back each other up, and that includes you." Don continued, flashing her a confident, cocky smile as he ended his sentence. He was trying to help her get over her jitters without even knowing that he was helping to reassure her about her fears.
Otto, overhearing the conversation turned around and stepped towards Mirielle. His tall stature might even intimidate her, but that wasn't his goal at the moment. "I'm Otto. Nice to meet you." Otto said while lifting a hand towards her for a handshake. He managed a small smile and then after they shook hands, he spoke again. "Glad to have you on this mission with us. Ya ready? I'll need you to back me up." he said. He walked forward, heading towards the front of the group. He pulled from his pocket some kind of wood carving and held it out before saying, "Zeige Dich, Bluthund." A flare of bluish-white reiatsu was released from the doll and then suddenly, it was standing there before him. A blackish-grey bloundhound with glowing red eyes was just sitting at attention right infront of Otto. He smiled at the dog and patted it's head. "Bluthund, Sonar Rinde." Otto commanded the doll.
Bluthund quickly stood up and turned away from the group. He suddenly barked, releasing some kind of wave of sound from his mouth as he barked. As the sound wave was released, it spread out all around the doll and then shot out in a 360 degree direction all around them. There was no sound when it passed over the eight Bount. Otto and Bluthund just stood there and waited, as if expecting something. After about two seconds, Bluthund turned to face it's master and then began barking in a sequence of 3 short barks. There were about 3 of these short bark sequences. The veteran-looking Bount bent down and patted the doll's head before turning to Jin. "Blunthund senses scattered reiatsu signatures around here for a mile range. Some of it is Bount reiatsu and some of it isn't. The reiatsu signatures aren't very organized either. Some of the Bount signatures are together, while others are more scattered. About three or four of them are grouped together, and they're close to some of the other non-Bount reiatsu." the man reported in an almost militaristic fashion. Otto then pointed towards the large source of reiatsu they all felt just in front of them. "The other Bount reiatsu is closer to that large source of reiatsu I sense. Think that's the Bount city you said Kassen Oro told you about?" Otto asked.
Instead of answering his question, Jin turned to Mirielle. "Let's see what Huldra can pick up. I suppose that is the Bount City, but I want to see if Huldra can give us a confirmation." the Bount Leader said. He wondered if Don had been able to get anything out of her in terms of why her tone had suddenly changed. He would talk to them both separately when he got the time later. Feere suddenly piped up out of nowhere, pumping his fists into the air. "VOOOOOO! I WANNA FIGHT SOME STRONG BOUNT! I WANNA FIGHT SOME OF THOSE OTHER GUYS TOO!" he called out. He decided to punch the air randomly. The man next to him, who was dressed in a suit and sitting in a wheelchair spoke up. When he did so, his voice was soft spoken and calm, with some kind of cynical tone behind it. "Calm down. Must you always fight? We're on a mission to scout this place and if we can protect these Bount, not cause trouble and get into a fight!" spoke Jikashi. The man behind Jikashi, who was at the moment pushing his wheelchair, chuckled at this. "Shishishishishi. Let him have his fun, Jikashi." the one named Gatz said through his chuckles.
Padrone's Remaining Reiatsu: 1625
Otto's Remaining Reiatsu: 1400 (-400 for Doll Summon, - 200 for Sonar Rinde)
Sonar Rinde Cooldown: 0/1

Mirielle’s dark thoughts were interrupted by the other Bount, all of whom seemed to be rather cordial at the moment. She smiled briefly, the lurking despair being suppressed by the necessity of the situation. Jin had agreed two scouts were better than one, and she wasn‘t about to slack off now because of her own internal melodrama. She wouldn’t let the others down, not after everything she’d been through; seeing Mateus die that cold winter night had been enough loss to last Mirielle the rest of her relatively immortal lifetime. Turning to look at Don, she offered him a small smile and a reassuring nod. Things seemed to be up for her right now, but who knew when she’d sink back down? Life had a way of throwing surprises out at people, and their effects were utterly random. If she let herself grow closer to these guys, would she be strong enough to protect herself when the time came so they wouldn’t die for her? Would she be able to protect them?
When Otto introduced himself, Mirielle shook his hand, giving it a firm squeeze unfitting of a girl her size. She watched him release the dog like doll, Bluthund, and the sonic wave it released, passing over the collective group. When it barked to it’s master and Otto gave his report, Jin stated Huldra would need to give confirmation. Bluthhund had given them a general gist of a mile around the area, and Huldra should be able to confirm that and even give them a good idea of an area even wider than that. Mirielle pulled the earring charm shaped like a leaf from her ear before tossing it forward, “ Zeige Dich, Huldra.” Mirielle stated, the lavender reiatsu flaring around it in a vine like pattern momentarily before the buxom doll landed softly on the ground. Her hair and eyes were as black as pitch, and vine-like veins running across her skin echoed the color. From where Mirielle and Don stood, her hollow back was an evident and unsettling sight. Huldra’s passive power may or may not influence the other Bount, considering they were all men and Bount, who tended to have strong willpower in order to sustain themselves through feeding. Anyone else the group encountered might not be as fortunate as to resist Huldra’s bewitching Koder Des Waldes. “Now, Huldra, Lied der Samen.” Mirielle commanded.
The Doll offered a smirk to the gathered Bount men, even winking at Otto for a moment, before kneeling; the pose was suggestive merely by the shape she took, considering Huldra was a curvaceous female humanoid doll. She spread her hands across the ground, closing her eyes as she channeled her reiatsu outwards, connecting to the vegetation around her. The connection took only a few seconds for Huldra to form, her psyche linking to the plant life surrounding her position for the next three miles. Doing expanded her sensory abilities considerably, and allowed her to keep tabs on people if they remained inside of the three mile range. She opened her eyes after a brief pause as she began processing the information. From such a wide range, some focus was unfortunately lost, but if she kept searching around Huldra was bound to find something.
“Well, Fido over there was right about the reiatsu signatures early, I can guarantee.” Huldra stated from her perch, her voice taking it’s usual suggestive tone, “ There’s a lot of forest on the island, for one thing. From my current position, I can only see so far. If we moved in to a better position, I’d be able to cover more ground.” Mirielle nodded at this, realizing their proximity to the beach was limiting the radius of Huldra’s Lied der Samen somewhat. “ That being said, I feel like I should point something rather interesting out. Even from here, I’m sensing a rather large reiatsu signature from the island’s center on the edges of my range. It reeks of Bount and Doll, so I’m going to have to wager a guess that it’s that city you boys were looking for. Huldra tilted her head slightly her dark eyes full of mischief. “ One last thing for now. It’s a little hard to determine just how many are out there without finding a focal point to concentrate my attention on, but it seems to me that this forest has a rather healthy population of Hollows, and even the animals have some reiatsu signatures. Not to mention a few things I‘ve never even encountered before.” Huldra giggled slightly, “ What was it that Dorothy said, ‘I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore Toto?’”
Mirielle stood there, listening to Huldra’s report about what was scattered across the forested region of the island, as far as she could see at least. Hollows and animals with reiatsu, not to mention some other sort of creature that Huldra wasn’t accustomed to. Just what was on this island anyway? She nodded her head slightly before looking at Jin. “Huldra’s range will be slightly wider if we head further into the woods. Considering the shore’s to our backs, she doesn’t have as much room to work with. That being said, she’s at least confirmed Bluthund and Otto’s findings. The Bount City seems to be at the center of the island, and there seem to be other races present on the island.”
Mirielle turned to Huldra, “ Keep scouting the area for now. If something catches your attention, let us know.”
If Jin decided to move the group at this point in time, Huldra’s Lied der Samen would have to be broken, but if they paused for a few more minutes to digest the preliminary information, that would give the forest doll ample time to analyze the three miles of forest she was currently connected to. Given enough time to sort through what she was now sensing, Huldra could pinpoint which trees had squirrels living them. To start with, she had merely given them what her energy sensing capabilities had given her, but now she was set to peruse her other avenues of information gathering. Considering that the whole island was the size of a country, it might take a little while to move around enough to scout the whole place out. Hell, that would probably be an inadvisable course of action to take, considering what little information that Mirelle and Huldra had to go on. Mirielle had the sinking suspicion that Jin had brought her along more for another of her Doll’s abilities that he had seen firsthand in combat; Myling was a rather dangerous child, to be sure. If they could avoid confronting the native Bount, it would be for the best, considering Myling’s sinister presence didn’t even effect others of Mirielle’s creed. If they ran into anyone, or anything, else that wasn’t a Bount, then they’d find themselves in a predicament if it came down to it. Between Huldra’s sensual aura and Myling’s crippling presence, even the most confident of opponents would find themselves worn down.
Huldra stopped quipping at her master and flirting with the men, closing her eyes once more as she began to fully focus on her Lied der Samen; what would the wooden woman find as she searched the surrounding three miles of trees? Given the general findings she and Bluthund had first picked up on, she and Mirielle could guess, but now Huldra was content to focus on sorting through her findings and picking out spots where her readings were strongest. Places with high levels of reiatsu were going to be first and foremost on Huldra’s list to investigate, not to mention anything that seemed threatening to her Master and the group she was with. Only time would tell…

“Cierro,” came a voice from nearby as the Octavo arrived at the rendezvous point. “G’day, buddy!” said the espada walking over to his support and shaking the other arrancar’s hand. This was more to reveal himself to Rue than to establish friendship, for Rue would be unable to sense Cierro’s arrancar reiatsu without touching. As soon as Rue’s hand touched Cierro’s, then the Exequias could be sure that the man before him was indeed the Octavo espada, because his reiatsu felt like that of a human. Cierro took note of Rue’s outfit and appearance in case he needed to take his form later in this mission. After he committed the arrancar’s form to memory, the Exequias introduced himself to Cierro. “I am codenamed Rue,” he said as he stood at attention, “I have been ordered to serve you in any way you desire which pertains to the mission, and that if my death should be required, so be it.”
Cierro was taken off-guard by the other arrancar’s discipline and respect. “Oh, um... At ease, Rue,” he said, trying to break the formal mood that Rue was creating, “No one’s gonna be dying, so don’t you sweat your little head off.” Rue continued to tell Cierro about the island he’d scouted out ahead of time. “This island is shaped like a crescent moon,” he said, “It is mostly wild forest, covered in powerful animals. All of the animals have reiatsu. There are Hason and Hollows present on the island as well. There seem to be around 3,200 Bount in this city.” Cierro whistled at that number. “That many Bount in one place? And I thought bount were an endangered species. I guess they’re going pretty strong, huh?”
“Right now, there is a sacred temple or worship temple in the city center. I believe Kouhai-Sama intended for us to steal an ancient relic in there,” he said to Cierro, revealing their mission. “I know, I know. Did you think I came here not even knowing what my mission was? Geez... Anyway, I have a plan, but first I need to know what you are capable of, Rue. Specifically, tell me how fast you are, what abilities you possess, and how confident you are in your ability to run away.” Cierro knew exactly what he wanted to do, but first he needed to make sure that Rue was the man he needed to enact his plan. The espada said all this as he and Rue headed towards the bount city. Cierro kept his senses peeled for for any signs of bount scouts or lookouts sent out from the city. Surely they had patrols even when they weren’t expecting to be attacked, and the espada was wary of this possibility. “So basically, what I’m asking for is to know a bit more about you in order to construct an effective plan,” he said, “In fact, it would be easier if you could give me a sample of your blood. Is that fine? All I need is a drop or two.”
As soon as Rue presented his blood to Cierro, Cierro was going to find a very pleasant surprise. It seemed that Shiroi had not only been fully aware of Cierro's general capabilities, meaning his potential and use as an espionage player rather than fighting, but he had taken advantage of this as well, to pair Cierro with someone that could suit his needs. What he'd find of Rue was that not only was he one of Shiroi's absolute finest, but he too was an espionage player. More than this, other memories would surface. Rue was not his real name. He was one of Shiroi's best. A special ops agent who was fully capable of missions on his own, and of serving. He'd served others in the past under Shiroi's orders, always with the directive to be willing to give his life if required. Dozens had taken him. None had seen fit to destroy him. His use was too great.
While Rue was not his real name, Cierro would not learn the true name of this individual. In his memories, there were many aliases. Sometimes he was called 'Croc,' and other times 'Stone.' On occasions, he had been called Fiji, or Torve. He'd called himself Yamato, or even Kaishek. Languages, names, and backgrounds had varied, but he was very skilled. In rank, he played quite high. He was an Exequias Second. Therefore, it could be assumed that he was incredibly powerful. His powers were something else entirely. His Ressurection had the theme of "Memory." It had four techniques that Cierro would find most interesting. Rue's most basic technique was "Memoir." This technique allowed him to release his memories into the real world. Meaning, he could create illusions and images that anyone could see, based purely on memories of his own. The limit was a reiatsu cost, a size cost, and it had to be something he'd experienced.
The next technique was called "Draw," and was a technique which allowed him to suck out memories. He could suck out basics, such as a single day in someone's life. Or, he could suck out all of their memories, and leave them as a blank shell. All memories he stole, he could delete later too. Regardless, he could keep them as his own. This required physical contact of the palm to the forehead. His third technique, "Ghost," allowed him to shroud himself with the memory of what occupied the space before he did. Essentially, he used an illusion to cloak himself and become invisible. This helped, because his Ressurection had no flashy blasts, and by default its raw form was a jumpsuit, white (though it could change colors at will), and it masked his reiatsu perfectly unless he met someone via physical contact. His final technique was known as "Garasu."
This was a final, powerful technique purely for destruction. In exchange for temporarily wiping all of his memories, he released a blast that wiped out the memory of everyone else in a large vicinity, an entire mile's radius if desired, assuming that they were hit by the blast of white reiatsu. He indeed had a very, very unique power. Furthermore, his stats were to Cierro's need too. He was fast. None of his abilities required reiatsu strength in order to work, and so instead his statistic abilities were focused on speed and on senses. Whatever Cierro wanted to use Rue for, he'd certainly discovered quite a powerful ally, and one who would help him through this mission. The temple he was supposed to find was also in Rue's memories.
"Hmm..." Jin said after the report by Huldra and Mirielle. He was deep in thought. It was good that Huldra had been able to confirm what Bluthund had found. Both had sensed the large gathering of reiatsu in the center of the island. It had to be the Bount City Kassen had told him about. Though, Jin still couldn't believe it, even now. Half of the Bount population was living here on this island. He couldn't even believe that there were six to seven thousand Bount living in the world today. He was happy to hear that don't get him wrong, but it was still surprising. How had there been so many Bount living in the world and he hadn't known about it? How would these Bount take to him calling himself their Leader?
Jin was suddenly in a world of his own in that moment. His mind was drifting, thinking about the past and things like that. Had he done enough as Leader to be recognized by Bount all over the world? Would he even be respected by these Bount? What would they think of him? How would they react to him? Would they be welcoming or would they be hostile? Questions like these were what floated around in Jin's mind. He continued going over it all, trying to figure things out and analyzing everything he had heard and seen so far. He analyzed and then analyzed some more, but all it did was make him worry more and more. His thinking would allow Huldra some more time to gather information on their surroundings before he gave an answer.
"Jin, what should we do?" Don suddenly asked after a few moments. His voice broke Jin's thoughts and he snapped to attention. The Bount Leader lifted a hand and stroked his chin as he tried to think. "I would like Huldra to keep scouting, but we need to get a move on. One thing I'm unsure about though is how friendly the Bount in that city will be. We'll have to approach with caution." Jin said. "Can I study them?" Gatz suddenly asked. Jin turned his gaze to the scientist Bount and simply stared at him for a few seconds. "I really don't think you trying to dissect them would keep us on their good side, so no." he finally answered. He would have to keep an eye on Gatz. That one would do anything for the sake of gaining knowledge in science. Even dissect his own kind.
Jin turned to look in the direction of the large source of reiatsu they had all felt. It would probably be better to stop thinking about it and just start heading there. What good would it do to just stand here and wait? "Since we'll need to head further in for Huldra's range to widen, we should probably start moving now." Jin said. Just then, Bluthund suddenly began barking up at its master. Otto bent down and touched the doll's head, patting it until the dog-like doll stopped barking. "Calm down, Bluthund." Otto said to the doll in a calm voice. He sighed and then stood up. "Bluthund heard some rustling and overreacted." Otto said. Jin just stood there and gave him one of those 'Are you serious?' looks. In response, Otto only nodded. Only the Bount Leader would actually know what that meant. Otto had picked up on something.
Otto had reported that there were small groups of reiatsu clusters around in that one miles radius that Bluthund had been able to search. Otto had also reported that they weren't all that close to the group of eight Bount. Well, that had been a few minutes ago. The small clusters could have moved in that time span. Jin was sure that if they could sense the reiatsu around them, then whatever was in that forest with them could also sense their reiatsu. If there were Bount in the forest with them, they would probably be able to easily pick out Jin and his group. Even Hollow could sense them if they were on this island. Both groups would probably be heading for them right this moment. A party of eight reiatsu signatures huddled in one spot. Easy pickings for a hungry Bount or Hollow right? At least that's what Jin was thinking.
The Bount lived here as a society. There were no humans, and therefore no human spirits either. So then, the Bount had to feed on something else. Since Bount could feed on any spiritual being, they had to be feeding on some other type of spiritual being. Hollows weren't out of the question. So then, what if any Bount in the forest with them suspected them of being a big group of Hollow just ripe for the picking? They had all mostly suppressed their reiatsu, but a good sensor could still pick up on it; just not what race that reiatsu belonged to unless it was fully released. Jin nodded back to Otto, and then he turned to Don and nodded to him, giving him the signal. Mirielle, if she was observant, might be able to pick up on this despite Jin not saying anything to the whole group. "Let's head further in." He suddenly pulled out his golden yoyo from his jacket and began flicking it in and out. He started walking forward with the rest following behind him, flicking that yoyo in and out in preparation for what was out there. Don moved away from Mirielle while they walked and headed to the back of the pack (OOC: That rhymed!), closer to Padrone and the few rings floating at the back there.
"I'm tearing it all down. No structure. No Gods. No Masters. Just pure Anarchy..."

As Jin directed them on wards, Mirielle nodded her head to the wooden woman, who stood from her crouch and broke her connection to the forest; Huldra’s ethereal beauty was more than just show, it was actually a weapon. Similar to Myling, she possessed an inherent talent that messed with her opponents’ minds, but unlike the childish doll, hers relied on animal attraction in lieu of memory manipulation. Aesthetic asphyxiation tended to overcome anyone attracted to women when they came upon the female doll. Hollows weren’t exactly the most sensual of beings, but if a scouting party of Bount came by, Huldra’s passive influence had a fair shot of working. Hell, who needed proper diplomacy when you could stun a person into doing what you wanted in the first place? Of course, Huldra’s powers wore off over time, or if the victim was struck hard enough. Then again, if Mirielle and her Dolls could at least detain a person long enough and prevent an attack, then surely Jin and his men could lash out without fear of retribution.
Huldra and Mirielle walked forwards, pausing as Jin had his exchange with Otto; the body language between the two wasn’t as casual as some might expect. While Otto could play the straight man with ease in any act, Jin’s slightly over dramatic look at him cued Mirielle into something, though what it was she couldn’t say for sure. For a nigh immortal, you’d expect Jin to be less easily read. Of course, for all Mirielle knew he hadn’t tried to mask the glance, or cared about the girl as she studied the exchange. She was still growing accustomed to the group, what with her relative newness to them all. Funny, that a girl who survived the witch hunts and Inquisition was still experiencing “New Girl” syndrome in social circles. Awkward…
Shifting her feet slightly as she followed the men folk into the woods, Mirielle tensed her hands into fists. If it came to a fight, she would be more than willing to show off her skills. Jin had drawn one of his yo-yos, and from Mirielle’s experience, it meant that he was taking the threat more seriously than he’d taken their sparring match. Mind you, it was a friendly sparring match to begin with, but it put Mirielle slightly on edge to see him produce the seemingly harmless toy. Comparisons between it and Mirielle could be made, thinly; both looked like they would be used in certain ways, but turned out to be used in completely opposite ones. Mirielle looked frail, but her overall combat style emphasized her grace and balance and strange amount of endurance and strength; factor in her Dolls, and you had an odd mish mash of abilities that made her both unpredictable and highly dangerous to deal with. Such was the way of life if you wanted to survive more than a century or two as a Bount.
It seemed that Mirielle had recuperated from her near episode by that point, and she’d taken a position slightly close to the lead, following behind Jin to his right. Huldra flanked his other side, and both Bount and Doll moved in unison, despite their differences in appearance. It was obvious they’d been together for some time, just watching the pair. More so than that, one could tell they had at least some experience working with a group, though perhaps not one as big as this. They needed to be ready for whatever threat the forest produced. Even the gentlest of sounds could contain an unknown horror just waiting to spring from the bushes. Or a fluffy bunny… But, given the area, even a fluffy bunny could be somewhat dangerous to deal with here. God could only know the horrors of what lurked behind those pink eyes…
